Green Chickpeas: Discover Their Health Benefits!
Green chickpeas, also known as fresh chickpeas or garbanzo beans, offer various health benefits. A significant portion of the population follows vegetarian or vegan diets, which often leads to a lower intake of certain nutrients compared to non-vegetarians due to the exclusion of meat. However, there are alternative sources rich in proteins and vitamins that can cater to their nutritional needs,…

People that are absolutely convinced anyone can be vegan/vegetarian baffle me. I eat meat fairly regularly and I am already courting a B12 deficiency (for anyone who doesn't know the easiest source of B12 that the human body likes to absorb is red meat, you can get it from other sources primarily leafy greens I believe but your not getting as much because it's not as easy for your body to absorb) my levels aren't low enough to be considered clinically deficient but it's a near thing so my doctor has told me to take 2 B12 vitamins every day. I'm hoping this fixes my levels because if it doesn't that's a sign of a much more serious problem where my digestive system is biologically struggling to absorb B12
Gods, I feel you
When I got my Chron's diagnosis, the gastroenterologist and I talked about diet. High fiber is my enemy. I'm mostly OK now thanks to maintenance medication, but even now I can't have more than a single handful of nuts or popcorn without Suffering after. Raw vegetables are iffy; I can eat a couple of radishes or carrot sticks, but celery sets it off and raw broccoli or cauliflower is misery. I can have ONE small bowl of salad a day, which sucks because I LOVE salad. I have to be careful to limit servings of raw fruit, which also sucks because I adore cherries and pears and peaches.
Cooked vegetables are mostly fine, though I still have to keep the broccoli and brussels sprouts servings small. Cooked fruit is fine too. Beans are iffy. I can have some, but not a lot, which sucks because I love beans. Tofu is OK, but during my flare it gave me worse gas.
During a flare, my safe foods were cheese, meat, eggs, milk, fruit juice, vegetable juice, white bread, and cream of wheat. It was a fucking nightmare to try and get all the nutrients into me that I need. You will note that most of these are in fact animal products. I was under literal medical orders to keep the hell away from non-juiced fruits and vegetables.
Of course, a bunch of people came out of the woodwork to tell me that I could heal myself by cutting out all dairy and wheat and going vegan/raw vegan. People still do this regularly. I've deleted ten out of my inbox since yesterday.
If I tried to go vegan, it would be very, very rough on my traitor-ass large intestine and would probably send me into a flare. If I tried to go RAW vegan, it would probably mean surgery and might kill me.

Adding my two cents here, hope you don't mind... The entire synthetic vs natural fiber argument is really reminding me of the plastic straw debate.... And I feel like the arguments are ignoring the nuance of the situations. Would I love if everything everywhere could be natural and biodegradable etc etc? Sure! Ofc! Except when degrading is what you DON'T want. I need to drink with a straw sometimes due to a bunch of personal health and sensory reasons. You know what sucks? Finding the fancy paper straw the cafe gave you has started to degrade part way through your drink. Or going somewhere that doesn't have straws at all. And personal stainless steel straws are a sensory nightmare!
Regarding clothing, I'd rather have a high quality polyester skirt that I can where over and over for years than a cotton skirt that will, given the material, eventually wear down regardless of how you care for it. I have synthetic blend shirts in my closet that I've had a literal decade and that I still wear! And I've had plenty of natural fiber clothes become sensory hell that I maybe got 3 or 4 wears out of. Polyester and other moisture wicking blends are also the best options for exercising and camping, especially if you have a tendency (like me) to overheat and oversweat. Cotton takes ages to dry out and doesn't breathe nearly as well.
And none of the natural fiber arguments ever seem to take the environmental costs to produce those natural fibers into account. A lot of the time they require a lot of water to grow and maintain on land they're likely not native to, planted in ways that push native plants and animals from their own environments. How is that necessarily better?
There are pros and cons of both fabric types. And ignoring that in favor of purely natural fibers can have negative impacts on people who may not have other choices. Like disabled people. Fat people. Poor people. People running small businesses. I promise, those of us that fall into any or all of those categories who are also environmentally conscious have looked into alternative options. And if we've gone back to synthetics? It's because we don't have one or we've weighed our options and came to the conclusion that actually, synthetic IS the more viable option.
When it comes right down to it, I think it's how we treat the garments and how long we continue wearing them that makes a difference, not what the materials are. Fast fashion is the problem. Not synthetic material itself.
I'm GLAD you provide high quality, durable, ethically sourced synthetic material skirts made in sizes and patterns we can't get anywhere else, all at a relatively affordable price point. Thank you!
And I apologize this is so long I just think, in this instance, the arguments can be a bit ridiculous sometimes. 😅
this is another facet and honestly part of it i just haven't had the energy to address. there's a lot of nuance to a situation that is often treated without nuance. you mentioned straws, which i think is a good comparison, but to me it really reminds me of the big push towards veganism a few years ago that completely overlooked labor concerns and that these "superfood" or alternative grain fads were incredibly destructive to the communities that relied on those foods as staples.
anyway that's a whole other issue with its own host of difficulties that i'm really not equipped to dig into haha
but yeah the quality in the construction of a garment and how it's treated (i.e. if it's worn for years or discarded after one use) bare way more impact on the environment than people realize.
the problem is, it is a lot easier and more profitable to sell people on changing WHAT they consume (natural vs synthetic) rather than HOW they consume.

THOUGHTS WHILE WATCHING GILMORE GIRLS: SEASON 3, EPISODE 2: HAUNTED LEG-TUMBLR IS HUNGIE AND KEEPS EATING MY POSTS
The Netflix synopses (synopseses? Synposi? Where are you, Jess Mariano? You're my only hope) made this episode seem like it was going to be heavily En-Crusty'd (Christopher focused) but then the lovely @frazzledsoul told me that in this episode Rory takes Christopher to school (metaphorically) and this is also the episode where Jess takes RORY down a peg in a GLORIOUS confrontation at Doose's Market. If there's one thing I love seeing in Gilmore GIrls it's a good peg lowering. In fact, it gives me such immense satisfaction to see Rory in particular get taken down a peg that the three times Dean does it to her are the only times I actually side with Dean. Let the Notch-Taking-Down Party commence. But first....Happy 18th birthday, Jess! You're legal, mister! I am solidly and forever in the Late August/ Early September Birthday Camp (I have my reasons) and we're already there on the show! It's been almost a year since he arrived in Stars Hollow as a 17 year old! I'm gonna make it easy and say it was September 1st.
Tumblr media
Now you can visit the strip club, and buy porn and cigarettes legally! You're a man now! (well, at least you could buy cigarettes at 18 years old 20 years ago. It's 21 now). Episode begins with Emily still being predictably salty about last week's FND, where Lorelai snuck out of the house while her parents were fighting over her breakup with Crusty.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Don't listen to her. You do can do whatever you want, even while you're on the clock. My little shmushkins. My apple dumpling. My peach tart. My banana muffin. My jelly donut. You're gonna make a bazillion dollars with your books some day and show em all. *pinches his cheeks* Lorelai is coming down with an illness which I shall diagnose as mononucleosis (aka the kissing disease) that she contracted from making out with Dean Forrester.
Tumblr media
Lorelai has no qualms about leaving the house to eat out every single day in a crowded diner and spread her germs all over town, instead of keeping her ass in bed, I guess. She's also incapable of purchasing and opening a can of soup and dumping it in a pot on the stove (or hell, even sticking it in the microwave) so she wakes up each day and chooses to be a Disease Vector. If she wasn't (presumably) still married to Luke in 2020 to cook her meals for her at home I don't know how she survived the pandemic. Luke: You know what helps a cold? A healthy immune system. You know how to get a healthy system? By not eating crap and blowing out your brain cells with coffee. Eat a vegetable now and then or some high fiber cereal. At least eat the carrots in the soup? Three minutes in and he's already Insulting Lorelai (while, uh, also insulting himself at the same time?) Whee, I'm loving this episode already! More Peg-Lowering, please! Several people on this show are going to be HUMBLED and I am HERE for it. But why is Luke always downselling food that he puts on his own menu? I know Lorelai and Rory don't ever pay him anyway, but doesn't he want to attempt to make some money? "My food will make you fat and sick and kill your brain cells. Don't eat it. Go eat somewhere else." Or is it that he's a-okay with poisoning the rest of Stars Hollow with copious amounts of junk food but wants to spare Lorelai and Rory the same fate? One would also suppose he doesn't actually have said vegetables or fiber rich cereal on his menu in the first place (it's a fucking diner) and that would mean Lorelai would have to pour herself her own cereal at home. Perish the thought. Is Luke secretly some kind of California Hipster in denial? Would he be more at home opening some kind of vegan cafe where he serves wheat grass shots and kombucha and avacado toast, you know, all the stuff Milo Ventimiglia eats. (But Milo’s a big junk food junky too, he's a bit of a paradox, that man). What does he feed Jess, by the way? In his first appearance he was planning to stuff his already neglected and malnourished nephew full of Corn Flakes and Pop Tarts.
Tumblr media
Grandpa here is going to live to be 115 probably, but only if you shut up, you're already sending him to an early grave.
Tumblr media
EVERYONE STOP EATING AND TALKING. THE QUEEN HAS ARRIVED! Anyone else think its funny that Lorelai and Rory and Luke are ilke the mayors of Stars Hollow who know everything down to when the mailman's dog farts but nobody knows who Shane is, where she came from, who her family is, when she moved in, where she lives, how she ended up with Jess...ANYTHING? Nobody even seems to know her name? Silence from Miss Patty and Babette? Lane and Dean never informed Rory that Jess was never in school, that he supposedly pulled the fire alarm, stole 500 baseballs, etc etc. again, shouldn't Lane be absolutely losing her mind to spill this piping hot tea that Jess has been hooking up with some mysterious blond skankbag all summer? And Dean too, shouldn't he always be dying to tell Rory anything that would cast Jess in an unfavorable light and make her think less of him? What is with this town where they'll hold an emergency meeting because he drew on a sidewalk with some chalk but when he actually does something worth talking about, nobody wants to narc on him? They fear him, that's what it is. What is Shane's last name by the way? I made up a poll and asked you to decide on her last name and I'm currently awaiting the results, which I will use going forward.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jess and Shane continue to give Rory Gilmore a sexual awakening so immense it could knock our fucking solar system out of alignment. That boom you just heard was Jupiter and Saturn crashing into one another from the sheer force of Rory Gilmore's quivering loins.
Tumblr media
Tomatos Sign. I wonder how much money Jessica Kiper was paid to stick her tongue in Milo's mouth and say "Hey" and "Jess". Did she have to audition? I would do the job for free. I would keep screwing up just so the director could yell "Cut" and I could do as many takes as possible. Warner Brothers could own me for the rest of my life just for that opportunity.
Tumblr media
Meow! All she did was say his name, lol. Someone's cranky. You know what would cure that bad mood? A good handjob from Shane (last name soon to be announced). This whole "no strings attached sexual gratification" deal that was seemingly dropped in his lap? Meh, whatever. He'll do it, but he'll be reading the entire time. Meanwhile, this is Dean waiting 5 years for Rory to put out:
Tumblr media
(By the way, Mr. Mariano, don't ever tell a woman to "relax") Jess sighs and leaves in the middle of his shift (Lorelai should be proud), leaving his customers wondering where their pancakes are, to go have sex with Shane somewhere public and indecent, leaving Rory in their horny wake. Perhaps Jess has the intuition that the cold, clammy, looming hand of Celibacy (aka his own hand and a jumbo size bottle of lotion) will soon be upon him so he better seize these opportunities.
Tumblr media
Love it when she says shit like this as if her boyfriend Dean Forrester is some fucking chatterbox (he'll grunt a few words as he's also a typical teenage boy like Jess and she'll go "That's So INTERESTING Dean! Do go on. I love you, little buttered croissant"), and also like she should actually expect Jess to talk around her when he knows she's going to pick on him even worse if he does have something to say.
Tumblr media
Too late. That's hilarious- I forgot that Dean was about to show up just now and prove my point.
Tumblr media
She's still wearing that stupid quarter on a string on her wrist. I will give this show credit for being very consistent with some of the small details like this. Every day for 2+ years straight, Alexis Bledel shows up at Wardrobe and they slap that thing on her wrist. That cup is HUGE.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yeah. What? I could teach a comatose goldfish to say "I already ate breakfast." The hell is your point?
Tumblr media
Oh god. It's that episode where Kirk and Lorelai go on a "Date". I do not remember how it goes but I'm gonna take a stab in the dark here and predict that it was sufficiently awkward. Honestly...Lorelai has done MUCH worse before and will continue to do much worse than Kirk. Mommy issues aside, Kirk has more redeeming qualities than Max or Crusty. Like, at least Kirk is ambitious. Lorelai is still only a few months removed from banging Crusty who wouldn't know the meaning of hard work if it bit him in the ass. I hope something bites Crusty in the ass. Like a rabid possum. Kirk...."Let's go out...In two weeks. I heard you have a cold. It takes two weeks for a virus to leave the immune system." He's also smart and would survive the pandemic. "You might be the prettiest girl I've ever seen. Outside of a filthy magazine."
Tumblr media
It's the first day of senior year for Rory and our other Stars Hollow teens.
Tumblr media
It's all downhill for Rory after high school.
Tumblr media
Nobody tell her. L: I cannot go out with Kirk! R: Why not? L: He's Kirk! Poor Neurodivergent Kirk.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fixed it.
Tumblr media
i was about to say "What the what! Lorelai is actually pouring her own cereal?" but it's Rory wno's making her own breakfast and Lorelai is just pouring marshmallows into the bowl (who does that? That's not a thing. Here in The United States of America, there are already cereals that come with marshmallows). I mean, at least she's eating at home and "helping". Good for you for helping to feed to your chiild, Lorelai. Even if she's eschewing the (marginally) more healthy Raisin Bran in favor of Rice Krispies. I'm going to add a new feature to the ends of these posts: I call it: Things Googled While Watching GIlmore GIrls. Birthday Party Icons, How Old To Buy CIgarettes in Connecticut, Definition of Proclivities, How Many Words Can A Parrot Learn

9 Underrated Weight Loss Appetite Tips
Tumblr media
Cider Vinegar Power Play: Start your meals with a tablespoon of diluted apple cider vinegar (ACV) 30 minutes before. Studies suggest it may increase satiety and regulate blood sugar, preventing hunger spikes.
Volume Eating Magic: Fill your plate with low-calorie, high-volume options like leafy greens, zucchini noodles, and broth-based soups for a satisfying feeling without excess calories. These satisfying options keep you feeling full without packing on the pounds.
Gut Feeling with Probiotics: Your gut bacteria may influence your appetite. Explore incorporating probiotic-rich foods like yogurt, kimchi, or sauerkraut into your diet.
Spice Up Your Water and Curb Cravings: Plain water is great, but sometimes a little flavor goes a long way. Infuse your water with fruits, vegetables, or herbs like cucumber, mint, or berries. It adds a refreshing twist and may help you ditch sugary drinks that can sabotage your weight loss goals.
Bean Power: Beans are a triple threat for weight management! They're packed with protein, fiber, and resistant starch, all of which promote feelings of fullness and regulate blood sugar. Explore different bean varieties to keep your meals interesting!
Sun Exposure for Overall Well-Being: Aim for short bursts of morning sunlight to regulate leptin production, which can influence feelings of fullness.
The Chickpea Water Wonder: Aquafaba, the leftover liquid from canned chickpeas, can be used in vegan baking or whipped into a meringue-like foam, adding volume and satisfaction to meals.
Chew on This: Chewing sugar-free gum for 20 minutes after meals may increase satiety hormones and reduce cravings.
Power of Laughter: Laughter can decrease stress hormones linked to cravings. Watch a funny video or spend time with loved ones who make you laugh.
Remember, these tips can be helpful for managing appetite in various situations, not just weight loss. They can promote feelings of fullness throughout the day, which can benefit those with busy schedules or who tend to overeat due to stress or boredom.

Ang Chong Yi - Reasons for choosing a plant-based diet
If cancer prevention is something you need to consider, start with your diet. When it comes to reducing the risk of cancer, you should think in terms of diet instead of food. And a plant-based diet is the best when it comes to lowering the risk of cancer.
A plant-based diet doesn’t mean you can’t consume meat. A plant-based diet means most of the foods in your meals are plants, such as fruits, whole grains, and vegetables. Nuts, seeds, and beans are also included in this diet.
Tumblr media
Ang Chong Yi talks about the health benefits of a plant-based diet in this article. If you are interested in the ethical side of going vegan, read Ang Chong Yi - views on ethical reasons to choose Plant-based foods.
Here are some reasons to eat a plant-based diet:
Plant foods and diet supports your immune system.
Nutrients that are necessary for life are rich in plants. Your body's balance and the health of your cells are maintained by the vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals, and antioxidants found in plants. So, a plant diet allows your immune system to stay healthy.
Plants provide your body with the nutrients it needs to fend against illness. Eating a plant-based diet helps to boost your immune system's ability to fight against infections and microbes.
A robust immune system is crucial for lowering your chance of developing cancer because it can identify and combat cell abnormalities before they become diseases.
Plant foods reduce inflammation.
The unavoidable nutrients found in plant food support your body in reducing inflammation. They eliminate pollutants, processed foods, bacteria, viruses, and other toxins.
All these so-called free radicals that can upset your body's balance are captured by the antioxidants found in plant foods. So, it's crucial to follow a plant-based diet and pay attention to your body's signals about what foods are best for you to reduce inflammation.
A plant-based diet keeps you in optimal weight range.
Hormone imbalance and inflammation are brought on by being overweight, and obesity causes so many other diseases.
You eliminate a lot of the things that cause weight gain if you eat a plant-based diet. You're also on the right track to losing weight if you include exercise.
Plant food options are high in fiber.
All foods made from raw plants contain fiber. Fibre gives the plant its structure, and increasing your fiber intake will boost your health greatly.
A plant-based diet helps your gut recover, which makes it easier for you to absorb the nutrients that strengthen your immune system and lower inflammation from food. In addition to being excellent for gastrointestinal management, fiber can balance blood sugar and decrease cholesterol.
A plant-based diet prevents all types of life-threatening diseases.
Eating a plant-based diet has several advantages beyond lowering your chance of cancer. A plant-based diet has also been demonstrated to lower the chance of developing diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and some mental health conditions.
Final thoughts
Following a healthy plant-based diet also lets you enjoy other foods linked with problems. If you are responsible for your diet and want to explore something tasty, read Indulge Your Desires: Global Sweet Treats Explored by Ang Chong Yi.

Why Cleaner Diets (Plant Based, Whole Foods, Raw Vegan, etc) Make People Sick & How to Easefully Adopt a Healthier Diet🦋 | Holistic Leveling Up!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Heard of people breaking out, unbalancing their hormones, getting fatigued, losing hair, developing gut issues, or becoming prone to colds having made a perfectly nutritious upgrade to their diet? (BTW I don't mean anything low-carb or high-fat. These don't meet the body's actual needs and lack fiber. They are not wise to practice unless you want fatigue and constipation).
Apart from the psychological and social difficulties of adhering to a healthier diet, there are also the physiological effects. Many people will claim that fully adequate diets made them sick and it must just not work from them because "everybody's body is different." The actual reason for this is that the body's natural detoxification pathways become less encumbered, and especially if drastic switches are made, the rates of cleansing can be too intense (simply eating more nourishing foods over junk foods is cleansing as it supports detoxification rather than inhibiting it). Most people are unaware that we have to take such permanent lifestyle transformations like this gradually, especially if we come from a history of illness or heavy junk food eating. I always recommend using the transitory principles of the Mucusless Diet Healing System (devised by Prof. Arnold Ehret), no matter how you are changing your diet. So, if you are looking to nourish your body as it deserves, seeking to remove processed foods, towards a primarily-fully whole foods, plant-based, home-cooked, mucusless, and/or frugivorous diet, all of the following applies.
Step 1: Understand that everything in nature makes permanent changes with transitory phases. For example, the life cycles of animals and growth of plants. Ehret says that "Nature's mills grind sure but slow." Overnight, cold turkey methods are not reliably effective because they work against nature. What we eat affects us chemically several times per day. To make a change in our foods is to change the chemical environment within us. (Making continual, progressive transformations to diet & lifestyle can look like this).
Step 2: Eliminate the worst mucus-forming foods first. Pus-forming foods (animal based products) are the most obstructing as they decompose in the digestive tract. They create the most powerful cravings and impediments to healing, since they have gummy residues and are fiber-less, which causes them to struggle to be fully eliminated from the digestive tract. If you are already off of animal ingredients, reduce/eliminate rice, gluten pasta, and other sticky grains from your diet. Opt for more coarse, sprouted, and gluten-free grains, like wild rice, millet, and buckwheat (until you transition away from them if that is your goal).
Step 3: Increase your intake of fruits and vegetables, especially the virtually fat-free and starch-free [or starch-free once cooked] ones because they are mucusless (for example, avocados, potatoes, and cassava are mucus-forming). These will help you to adjust to more nourishing meals because they are the best at developing a diverse & balanced gut microbiome. Base your meals around ripe fruits and well-grown vegetables. Have a predominantly or all-fruit breakfast (eg. baked peaches, spiced and stewed apples, smoothie, or fruit salad). Have a large delicious salad as (the bulk of) your dinner. Or follow the principles in the Transition Diet sections of the Mucusless Diet Healing System for most effective results. (For sensitive tummies or those unused to a fiber-rich lifestyle, introduce fiber gradually, focusing on fruit fibers, fresh cold-pressed juices, and smoothies). BTW eat enough! It can take a while to get used to feeling full up on plants. You may feel like you're eating tons, but it's all good :)
Step 4: Assist your body in its detoxification with holistically healthy habits. The most important of these is to undergo colon hydrotherapy. I know it seems strange from some, but since the gut is the foundation to our health and we have a long history in eating so many unsuitable foods don't eliminate completely (as we see with the prevalence of colon cancers and digestive problems), giving that additional cleaning to the intestines is as important as brushing your teeth. After having a natural bowel movement, it is suggested to do a lemon and distilled water enema (once a day to once a week, for best results). Enemas and colonics can also help relieve symptoms caused by lymphatic congestion, like headaches, colds, edema, bloating, toothaches, etc. Other holistic habits to assist cleansing: sweating, exercise & stretching, sauna, sunbathing (start with short periods in sun), salt/herb baths, fresh juice in the morning, breathwork, meditation & mindfulness (reduce stress), laugh more, get fresh air, aromatherapy, herbal teas, rational fasting protocols (begin first with mastering intermittent fasting and proper break-fast), naturally laxative food herbs (prunes, beets, chia seeds, psyllium husk, spinach, dates, etc), sound healing (relaxation), dry brushing, lymphatic massage, use of non-toxic products, etc. Try not to practice extreme things which can "shock" the body into intense detox phases. For example, cold plunging can be unhealthy for people with unregulated nervous systems.
Step 5: Kick out unhealthy cravings naturally. Replace them with whole food plant based, homemade alternatives. Or if you absolutely can not shake them, continue with your regular menus and eat it after your dinner salad. When your cravings are strong, be sure to continue with your colon hydrotherapy routine. Soon, your body will become cleaner and more sensitive to the foods (you will not want to experience their effects) and/or the craving will go away. Your cravings will tend to become healthier, for things like beans and your favorite fruit, rather than pizza and deep fried things.
Step 6: Keep things exciting. People often think eating healthier means more boring meals. Pfft. That's the exact opposite. There's so much intrigue in preparing high quality meals for yourself. And then...Your palate for all the rich plant flavors will expand too. I encourage you to try new fruits, vegetables, and herbs. Try some different beans, nuts, seeds, and grains too (if your goal isn't to be mucusless). Go to farmer's markets, wholesalers, ethnic markets & aisles, big box supermarkets, online specialty organic retailers (for bulk ingredients like dried fruit, herbs, or spices), and even clean convenience store items (eg. I've found unpasteurized tropical fruit pulps for smoothies, with no added ingredients). Research about the cuisines and herbal traditions from your own cultures and others. Often, the meals of the poor citizens were the most nourishing all along. You will discover more flavor combination ideas for salads, dips, sauces, spice blends, and teas. Rediscover that appreciation for simplicity and refreshing flavor in your meals.
Step 7: Enjoy the transition to doing bigger and better and more nourishing things for your body. You will easily become an expert in your own body and empowered to take your health into your own hands via these methods. Sometimes, it will feel arduous to get into the routine of meal prepping and grocery shopping -- but you're absolutely worth that effort. Understand the position you are in. You are making permanent epigenetic changes to the genetic codes you have been passed down. This is a gift that will impact the children you may have, the friends you make, the people you meet, and the generations to come. When we heal ourselves, we are not just healing our individual selves. It is about helping our world which has become so sidetracked with destructive habits & refortifying the influence of the nurturing instinct.
BEFORE YOU GO✨
Here's some extra guidance from 20+ year Mucusless Diet Healing Practitioner and Arnold Ehret expert, Prof. Spira in his article "Art of Transition":
"Although Ehret was a fruitarian thinker who asserted that a mono-fruit diet is the best for humans, he by no means suggested that people in our pathological condition can achieve such a level immediately without a considerable amount of dietary transition and PRACTICE of the Mucusless Diet. Many health seekers hear of fruitarianism and aspire to just jump right in without an extended period of transition...
Ehret’s healing system is not immediate raw-foodism, mono-fruit diet, or irrational extended water fasting, but a SYSTEM that coordinates the use of raw and cooked mucusless and mucuslean menus—in concert with short and long term periods of RATIONAL FASTING—to safety and effectively transition off of all mucus-forming foods. Yes, raw-fruit-mono diet is identified to be supreme, yet we must earn this level of excellence.
Not over night, but only after having paid reparations for the wrong that we, and our relatives, have done to our bodies all the days of our life. The key to sustaining the diet on a long term basis is the mastery of the Art of Transition. Whether it is through intuition, intellect, spiritual awakening, or scientific understanding, emancipating oneself from eating pus and mucus must be a top priority for those interested in physiological freedom.
And after generations of mucus-eating ancestors, it will simply not happen overnight. There is no shortcut around the transition. As Brother Air often says, 'you can be on the transition diet for more than 30 years if you need to be, but you will still be here.'”
May all beings be blissful💚😊🌼

My heart is chained to yours; a Junkrat and Roadhog fanfiction
Chapter 8
Preview
Running over as fast as possible, I slid just to the porch like how a race car drifts a corner, kicking up a cloud of dust behind me. Walking in I take off my shoes and just stand at the door awkwardly.
"Sit down Jamison, I'm just fixing you up a bowl"
The table is wide and tall with steep chairs to accommodate Mako’s big size. I’m practically a little kid who was finally allowed to sit at the adult table instead of the high chair.
"S-so um, Mako what's for grub?"
Pouring something into a bowl, his big hands handling everything with care. His expression focused, he must've put a shit ton of effort into this meal. When Mako is finished filling the bowl, he walks over to me and places the bowl down. With his big frame looming over me I can feel my mouth getting dry, my heart racing as he draws closer. My soul carnally craves every fiber of his being all over me.
"Want anything to drink?"
"U-uh yeah, water is fine."
I look into the bowl, stew? Swirling my finger into the mixture and taste it.
"O-oh fuck."
"What? Is something wrong?"
"THIS IS SO FUCKING GOOD WHAT THE FUCK!!!!"
Standing from my oversized chair to look inside the bowl, eyes fixated, unable to comprehend the hot soothing sensation in my mouth. Mako slides over my cup of water while placing a bun in the stew.
"WHAT IS THIS!?"
"Use your inside voice and sit down then I'll tell you. Also, your spoon is right there, use it."
Seated in my chair, desperately needing the knowledge on why this stew is so good!!!
"Want me to get you some pillows to sit on or something? You look quite small."
"Yeah, sure."
Before I could say anything, he already got 2 pillows. Rinsing only my butt to let him put the pillows down, the smell of Mako’s cologne overwhelms my senses. Next thing I know my hand on his head, running my fingers through his soft silver hair.
"J-Jamison…you’re um…"
“...Mako!!! I-i um, I’m sorry!!! I was in a haze then suddenly-”
“Pfft it’s fine, just caught me by surprise. A warning next time would be nice.”
"Well um, your hair is soft. What hair products do you use?"
He stands up and looks away blushing under his mask.
"Just… whatever is on clearance."
Sitting across from each other, the table and chairs don't affect Mako’s size. Looks like an average person, he must've got these custom or something.
"So what's in the stew?"
"I had some leftover tofu and I made some stew out of it. Threw in celery, carrots, peas, basil, brown sugar and simmered it on low heat for the day."
"Wait, you're vegan?"
"Not exactly, just went through a vegan phase. B-but I try to find meat that is ethically sourced but sometimes I get some fast food or buy a steak from the grocery store that's on sale."
"Hmmm."
The need to keep devouring my stew is overtaking me, it's so fucking amazing!!! It's like how in the movies, mothers make heartwarming meals. My entire body feels warmed, has Mako always been such a good cook?
"So Jamison, how do you see our relationship?"
With a dazed expression, I perk up from my dinner.

Mushroom as future generation healthy food
Mushrooms are indeed promising as future generation healthy foods. They're low in calories, high in nutrients like vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, and offer unique compounds with potential health benefits, such as beta-glucans for immune support and ergothioneine for antioxidant properties. Plus, they're versatile in cooking, making them an excellent addition to various dishes for flavor and nutrition.
Reason why mushrooms are considered a healthy food option for the future generation:
1. Sustainability : Mushrooms can be grown quickly and sustainably, requiring minimal resources compared to traditional livestock farming. They can even be cultivated on agricultural waste products, reducing environmental impact.
2. Plant-Based Protein : While not as high in protein as meat, mushrooms still offer a decent protein content, making them a valuable plant-based protein source for those looking to reduce their meat consumption or follow a vegetarian or vegan diet.
3. Gut Health : Certain types of mushrooms, like shiitake and maitake, contain prebiotic fibers that can support gut health by feeding beneficial gut bacteria, promoting a healthy microbiome.
4. Cholesterol Management : Some research suggests that certain compounds found in mushrooms, such as beta-glucans, may help lower cholesterol levels, potentially reducing the risk of heart disease.
5. Brain Health : Compounds in mushrooms like lion's mane have been studied for their potential cognitive benefits, including improved memory and focus, making them a promising food for brain health as people age.
Overall, mushrooms offer a nutritious and sustainable food option that can contribute to a healthy diet for future generations.
