I think wayyy too much about parenting and particularly the differences between brazilian parenting and american parenting. I have many thoughts/theories but there is one thing I am absolutely 100% sure I am keeping from brazilian parenting/how I was raise whichd is the constant unconditional love and physical affection brazilian parents (and other family members!!!) give their kids. I was being hugged and kissed and told I was loved by my family 24/7. I think that creates a foundation of self love that can’t be shaken as an adult. I didn’t even know people had families that didn’t love them until I came to the US tbh.
