Asking different questions to people because I'm bored. Day 2.
How do your vampires feel about human food? (Especially from "Hotel Transylvania.")
They seem to be able to eat human food judging by Mavis and Drac, but I figure they tend to PREFER monster food, blood beaters, real blood, or hunted food and it's probably healthier for them too. Mavis mostly likes these because she's a human culture nerd and probably wishes she could BE human. She ALSO shares humanity's love for candy too. (I imagine once she actually found out about it, Mavis would LOVE Halloween.)
While they can eat human food, They probably can't survive on human food ALONE. And being vampires, they most likely need to have SOME form of blood and/or meat in their diet: be it blood beaters, animal, or human. They may decide not to eat humans, but they're carnivores by nature: they can't have a totally vegan diet. Even Ericka experienced strong meat cravings during her dhampir pregnancy.
Drac in particular seems the most picky about food aside from maybe Vlad, both from his concerns about the healthiness of human blood and the fact he's a dad and the cook of his family. Thus, a concern of his is making sure people around him are eating right and well. He also has quite a bit of pride in being a monster and a vampire as well. And again...dude isn't big on trying new things, and this includes food. That said, guacamole and chips have grown on him a bit for...obvious reasons. Minus the garlic oil. XD And from what I've seen, one commercial implies he likes milk. He also likes sour lemon and/or lime flavors.
Vlad of course largely sticks to monster food, preferably real/animal blood, though he does offer Dracula a rat dog in a deleted scene.
Dhampirs under a readmore.
Now, DHAMPIRS like Dennis and My Simon and Lucy are a little different. They can eat both human and monster food without a problem - with the exception of a mild garlic allergy. For them, it really comes down to preference. Dennis seems to lean more towards human food, Lucy probably would love monster and hunted food more. Simon's a bit more balanced, but probably leans toward human foods. They still probably have a preference or need for meat, but they have more healthy options open to them since they can eat both types of food. They can also drink blood, especially vampire leaning ones, and many enjoy the taste. (Dennis doesn't drink often, but he does share his mom's love of blood-flavored lollipops. Lucy likes blood, whether real or blood beaters.) But there's less of a requirement for blood than for full-blooded vampires.

Whole grain foods are foundational to human health. The overwhelming majority of global staple foods are grains; corn, rice & wheat together make up over half of the world's caloric intake. However, it's important to differentiate between whole grains and grain-based food products... consider that whole grains can be sprouted or planted which means that they are alive. 🌾
I first discovered the importance of whole grains to human health when reading about macrobiotics, and have since confirmed this in my experience. So, what's so great about whole grains?
"Existing evidence indicates that whole grains have a beneficial health effect; much of the evidence comes from observational studies that have determined an association between whole grain intake and disease risk reduction," according to Jonnalagadda, et al. J. Nutr. 141: 1011S-1022S, 2011. "There is consistent epidemiological evidence that whole grain foods substantially lower the risk of chronic diseases such as CHD, diabetes, and cancer and also play a role in body weight management and digestive health. The essential macro- and micronutrients along with the phytonutrients present in whole grains synergistically contribute to their beneficial effects. Current evidence lends credence to the recommendations to incorporate whole grain foods into a healthy diet and lifestyle program."
💯
And there's more... I'll continue to go on about whole grains and their benefits for humans. 😂😋

How to turn off AI Training of your content on Web and Mobile:
On a Web Browser:
I had some trouble finding this option. My first instinct was to click the settings button on the left, but that's where it is!
First, you'll click the name of your blog on the left sidebar to bring it up on your browser.
Then click "Blog settings" on the right sidebar once your blog is brought up. That's where they're hiding it.
Click "Prevent Third-Party Sharing" under the Visibility section, and bam! You're done.
On Mobile:
Thankfully it's much easier on mobile. Just click the Gear icon on your blog's page, to go to settings.
Scroll all the way down until you see Visibility, then toggle the Prevent third-party sharing option for your blog!!
If you disable this setting on mobile, it automatically synced it to my web browser settings, too. ...But if you use both Web and Mobile, I would still highly recommend double checking that it actually turned off on both!!
Check that it's turned off on your side blogs too! And check your settings every now and then anyway to ensure that it's staying turned off, because if my memory serves right, some other websites will pull some shenanigans on things like this and opt you back in without telling you!
Leave Feedback on New Features at Tumblr Support Here!! Let Staff know however we can that having our content fed to AI at their whim is unacceptable.
And if you have the option to poison your art with Nightshade or Glaze, keep it up!!
