Jamil knows you will be loved, even if it is not by him. After all, the moon could never outshine the sun.

“Alriiiight, that’s what I’m talking about!” Cater slurred, bright red face split into a bright smile as he stood above the crowd, knocking his wine glass with a spoon. “We’ve got one more speech before the ceremony ends- at the request of the Groom himself! Everyone, give it up for the Best Man, the one and only- Jamil Viper!” 

Shouts and hollers rang out in the reception hall as Jamil slowly climbed the steps up to the stage. Bright lights shone on him, paling his face and blinding his eyes. Not that he wasn’t used to outshone. He took a deep breath, palms sweating, and let a pleasant smile rest on his lips. The faces of his old friends from Night Raven College were drowned out by the crowd. 

“Thank you, Kalim, for giving me the opportunity to speak today.” Jamil bowed deeply to the shorter boy, shadows falling over his eyes. His master’s face had split into the widest grin he had seen it in years, adorned with sparkling cascades of gold and jewels. Beside him, his bride was equally as giddy. You were exchanging excited looks with your husband-to-be, face alight with exhilaration. This was your wedding day, the happiest day of your life. But for Jamil, it couldn’t be worse. 

“There’s much to say about the couple whose union we are witnessing today,” Jamil continued on. He ignored the choking in his throat. “Let’s start at the beginning.”

Jamil’s fate was sealed the day he was born, under a full moon and with the Viper family name etched into his heart. Never be better than Kalim, his father told him. Never want for more than that. You can never shine brighter than the Asim’s. 

Jamil listened to him. Of course he did. He never did anything to suggest he was superior to the young boy who commanded him. He never stepped out of line, never asked for more than what he was given. But sometimes, when Kalim was fast asleep in his bed and the full moon had risen to shine on Jamil’s skin, he stood in the open palace windows, wondering what it would feel like for this to all be his. But alas- Jamil belonged to the palace more than it would ever belong to him. So from that night on, he shut the drapes when Kalim was asleep, and only got up to open them when the sun had already risen. No more moonlight. No more wanting. 

Not until that fateful night, when he had met you for the first time, alone in the hallways of the castle. 

“Excuse me, Prefect,” his voice rumbled in the darkness of the passage, dim light from the moon and stars reflecting off of your face. On his way back from cooking a late-night snack for Kalim, he had spotted your silhouette on the windowsill, wind gently touseling your hair. “You must be very troubled to be up so late.”

You had looked up, but you didn’t seem surprised to see him there. Maybe a little quizzical, a little curious. “Jamil Viper, right?” Ah. You knew his name already. As did he, yours. Gossip tends to get around at this school, and it was Jamil’s job to know every bit of it. “I don’t think I’m troubled tonight. I just needed a bit of air. The dorms can get so cramped sometimes, can’t they?” You patted the windowsill next to you. “Come on, sit.” 

The soup was getting cold in Jamil’s hands, but something compelled him forwards. He sat. 

“Yes, they are a little crowded sometimes,” Jamil lied. In truth, he didn’t know what the living situations in the common dorms were like. He slept in a servant’s room adjacent to Kalim’s quarters, in case his master needed him in the night. What else could he say to you? He only knew you in passing, because Riddle Rosehearts had invited you to stay at Heartslabyul dorm for an extended period of time, and the Heartslabyul dormwarden was never that nice to someone. “If you need extra room accommodations, I’d be more than happy to bring it up to my dorm leader- Kalim of Scarabia- in the morning.” 

You shook your head. “No, thanks,” you decline. “It doesn’t bother me much. Sleeping alone, especially at Ramshackle dorm, could get lonely. So I’m grateful that Riddle showed me such hospitality already- Besides, it would be a lot of trouble for Kalim to set up another student’s bed- though I’d guess much of the behind the scenes work is from you?” you added meaningfully. 

“Some of it,” Jamil carefully avoided the question. Don’t take credit for the host’s kindness, his father’s voice told him again. “I merely carry out what Kalim asks me to do. It’s no big deal, Prefect.” 

“So it is you who does most of the work here?”

“Maybe. Maybe not. You’ll have to ask that question to Kalim.”

Your next question surprised him. “Is Kalim all you talk about?” You prompt him. “You haven’t said a single word about yourself yet. Why don’t you tell me something else about you, besides your name?” 

No one had ever asked him such a thing before. Jamil found himself sitting on that window ledge with you until dawn, basking in the moonlight. The soup got cold in his lap, but he didn’t seem to care.

“Heya, Jamil!” Kalim had called when he arrived back in the dorm in the morning. The young master didn’t seem to be upset over the fact that he had not gotten his soup- in fact, he probably forgot all about it. “Where were you last night? I checked your room in the morning, but I didn’t find you, and your pillow was cold.” 

Jamil stared at him. “I… went on a walk through the hallways,” he told Kalim, admitting the half-truth. He didn’t want to tell Kalim about you just yet. Surely the boy would demand to meet you- Jamil wanted to keep you to himself for a bit. “You must be excited for the party tonight.” Everything had been planned in advance, and Jamil was glad that he had gotten all of the preparation out of the way early. “Are there any invitations to guests of honor that still need to be distributed? We can deliver them now, if you are up for it.” 

“Yeah, actually!” Kalim beamed. “I have three students I wanted to go about delivering the cards to personally- one is that Ignihyde dorm leader, Idia- I ran into him in the hallway after class for the first time! You should have seen him- he’s gonna be a real celebrity tonight, with that flaming hair and all. It’s so cool!” 

Jamil nodded absentmindedly. As long as Kalim was happy, he didn’t care who they invited. “Who’s next?” he prompted him. 

“Next… you know the Octavinelle dorm leader, Azul? He actually reached out to me first, asking to come to tonight’s celebration- he said he wanted to talk to me about ‘cutting a deal,’ or something for his cafe. I wonder what that could be about?” 

Azul Ashengrotto? Jamil would have to keep an eye on Kalim then, lest he do something even more foolish than usual with that slippery octopus. “And the last person?”

“Well…” Kalim wiggled a bit, fidgeting in his dorm uniform. “I’ve met pretty much every bigwig at this school so far- except for the Ramshackle dorm prefect. You know, the girl from another world? Whatd’ya say about inviting her tonight? It’ll be so cool to talk to someone like that for once.” 

This was the exact scenario he was hoping to avoid. Disappointment settled in Jamil’s belly like a stone, but he didn’t protest. Whatever Kalim wanted, Kalim got. “As you wish,” he bowed his head. “I am going to gather up some ingredients for breakfast today. In the meantime, you can prepare the invitations for delivery. We’ll leave once breakfast is done.”

Just as Jamil had predicted, Azul had accepted his invitation, while Idia didn’t even open his front door. Now, on the rickety path on the way up to Ramshackle dorm, he stood on a cinder block platform while Kalim banged the door knocker twice. 

As if on cue, the door swung open. And there you were in front of him again. You looked a bit different than you had last night, but he couldn’t deny that you were the same person. You looked more alive in the daytime, as if the sunlight had brought you to life. 

“Hey!” you greeted them. You gave a nod to Kalim but your eyes had zeroed in on Jamil instead. He gave you a nod back, none of the openness of last night was apparent on his face. “You’re Jamil from last night, aren’t you? The one with the soup?”

“Last night?” Kalim tipped his head. “Ohh! You must be the friend that he was out all night with!” Dropping the letter in the dirt, he grabbed your hand in his and shook it vigorously. “Any friend of Jamil’s is also a friend of mine!” He gave you that signature grin of his- bright as the sun. 

Your gaze melted away from Jamil, drawn to Kalim instead like a moth to a flame. “So what brings you to Ramshackle Dorm?” you question warmly. Leave it to Kalim to get someone to let their guard down so easily. “I know you haven’t come for our lavish hospitality,” you joked. 

“I came to bring you this! Oh, it’s dirty now,” Kalim looked at the invitation he had dropped dejectedly. “Nevermind the letter then! You should come to my party tonight. It’s at Scarabia dorm, as soon as the sun sets. There’ll be good food all around!” he adds, as adding something to sweeten the deal. 

“Well…” you debate. Jamil almost hopes you’ll say no. “I finished most of my homework already, so I suppose it won’t hurt,” you concede. 

Kalim cheers like a child who had just gotten a new present on his birthday, and grabs your arm, pulling you down the hill and towards the school. Jamil follows behind the two of you, watching you laugh at Kalim’s jokes and wishing for the want in his heart to cease.

That party was a blur. All Jamil could remember was seeing you on the dance floor. You were the center of attention, whirling alongside Kalim to the beat of the music. Every time Kalim spun you around, Jamil would note in his head the ways he was doing it wrong. He should put his foot to your left, and not your right. He should have bowed deeper when he asked you to slow dance. He shouldn’t be holding your waist there, his hand is too low. He found solace in the small things he could pick at, leaving them to bleed into a larger wound- and bleed it did. 

You became a fixture at Scarabia dorm after that night. Jamil was constantly reminded of your presence when he was sent out to buy a gift on his master’s behalf for you, or when he changed the sheets on Kalim’s bed only to find that your perfume lingered on them. And yet, even when Kalim took you on magic carpet rides across the sky, and picked out the finest foods and jewels for you to have, you still made time for Jamil. Your midnight talks became weekly occurrences. But no matter how many times he noticed how the moonlight shone on your face, you were too blinded by the sun to do the same for him.

That was the beginning for you and Kalim, but Jamil can’t help but feel bitter, because he had begun with you first. Now, as a hundred eyes stare at him from the wedding reception, he clears his throat. When he finishes this speech, your vows to Kalim would become official. You would slip away from him forever. 

“...So raise your glass to the union of the new Mr. and Mrs. Asim. May the heavens bless you. May the skies bathe you in sunlight.” 

Jamil knows you will be loved. Because if you are Kalim’s, then everything that is his will be yours too- his palace, his fortune, his servants- and Jamil himself. Whether or not you know it, you will own his heart- but not in the way he wants you to. Still… he will serve you with the same undying loyalty that he showed your new husband all these years. 

At least, you will be safe. At least, you will be cared for. 

At least you will still be in his life.

I come bringing ideas and headcanons.

OK, so we all already know what The Three oldest archons abilities. So I’ve come up with my own ideas we could use for the younger archons! (And yes I’m grouping Ei, Venti and Zhongli as the older siblings since Ei Is 1000 years old Venti is 2,500 and Zhongli is 5,000-6,000 and the other archons are still in the hundreds I think)

For Dendro archon!Reader

Definitely a Bow User. And Is a Healer. But the their Ult can cause damage

I have a theory That during the Archon War The dendro Archin created the Regisvines to fight for them, and only two were left. I also Headcanon The dendro archon can bring plants to life and overwrite what each plant can do. (Maybe even bring mushrooms to life 👀).

Maybe They can create a giant plant from the ground that spreads Healing energies and since this is a god where talking about can Cure Curses (Ahem Vils Curses Ahem) and major Diseases and what not.

For Their Ult maybe a giant plant monster (kinda like how Gouba and Oz exists ) that will attack for them (could make for fun combos with different elements like if the dendro archon was wet Hydro Plant monster)

For Hydro archon!reader

Polearm or sword (theirs way too many Hydro Catalyst) Healer and Dps, Why? Cause I say so.

You’ve mentioned how Hydro archon summons a giant wave? I’ll do you one better and their E skill summons a giant sea creature of your choosing to soak the fighters (A cool visual is their polearm turning into a big dream catcher then going swoosh and Baam Maybe like A giant Water Koi fish finna drown your ass *ahem ace ahem*)

Now mihoyo likes to reference Their character form honkai impact into genshin impact (and since they took a characters look from Honkai and another characters abilities with the whole Dual ego thing for Raiden shogun and Ei) I’m gonna base this Ultimate Skill From a character from Honkai (for research search up Herrsercher of Sentience)

Since the Hydro archons whole thing is about Justice. Now here me out here. WATER WHIP. Just a giant whip of water that can go on for miles (maybe it’s salty maybe it’s like fresh water depends on our readers mood lolol). Like, It’s whip of water strong enough to cut diamond or whatever it would be very cool (Kalim would wanna see if he could do something like that with his UM Que jamil trying to stop him)

Maybe their hair turns into water too.

Pyro archon! Reader

Claymore. A Big strong war god needs a big strong weapon. Dps and Defense.

Now It’s not just one claymore, It’s DUAL-CLAYMORE, why? Cause it’s a war god that’s why!

I like to think the shield is like Xinyans and XiangLings combined and it’s constantly sending off tiny Fire Discs. Or just symbols shooting fire like what the Pyro Abyss mages can do

For Ultimate I like to think it’s like Childes Daggers but Bigger and on fire just a huge sword made of fire.

Cryo archon! Reader

I can’t really come up with much for Cryo archon. But maybe a Catalyst that can summon a giant blizzard that drops down giant ice swords (kinda like Ganyus)

Definitely a sub DPS.

Maybe a healer too since The Tsaritsa is The archon of love?

What do you think about these abilities? Since you mentioned that the students and staff would assume their just strong mages I tried to be very creative with these abilities.

Also how I think the lore could go is maybe somewhere after leonas overblot and before azuls, Crowly has found a way to send Yuu home reluctantly. Yuu, grim and the aduece duo, and maybe some of heartslaybul or savana claw whoever you want come with them to the office to send them home. But Yuu is contemplating whether or not they WANT to go home now. But something goes wrong, maybe grim messes up the spell for the portal to work becuase (although he doesn’t want to admit it ) doesn’t want Yuu leaving, and their greeted with a surprise guest. Now this gives Yuu time to decide if they genuinely wanna go home and when teh archon finally has the materials they need to create a portal Yuu will tell them to leave the portal open (maybe put it into a tiny pocket mirror like the how we have the teapot) because they wanna stay for a little while or just until grim graduates (Que a happy fire cat ) and the archon whose grown attached to some people here was like ok “let our friends visit whenever they want, only if their headmaster allows it”

Now onto the headcanons

Anemo Archon! Reader and Mondstadt! Yuu

Everyone expected a lot of things not a person with Green eyes and (H/C) hair with green highlights. And an odd thing about them was the glowing stone on their person, Yuu didn’t have that?

Everyone’s freaking out because they’ve accidentaly taken another person from Yuus world.

And since Venti Is a well known famous bard In teyvat let’s say or Dear (y/N) is also a known bard and is not at all freaking out about what’s going on in fact let’s say our dear reader recognizes Yuu! And so now (Y/N) is now a new student (and a new headache for Crowley) in the ramshackle dorm! Yup! Just an ordinary human bard, Ehe~.

I’ll leave the rest of this up to you, Where Yuu has to explain what the world of teyvat is like (and why Yuu doesn’t have a phone (and a vision) because Twisted wonderland is far more advance in Technology and teyvat has JUST invented the Camera)

Also I head canon that people with Visions can summon their weapons and object with their visions, ok? Ok. To make things make more sense when reader pulls out a lyre from floating glitter.

Geo archon!reader and Liyue! Yuu

Same things happend here, but hey! We’ve summoned a Funeral Consultant! A very (ahemATTRACTIVEahem) Wise funeral consultant at best!

Since the god of Inazuma isn’t “Dead” or hasn’t left and the people know what their beloved archon looks like, Yuu will definitely Be Freaking the fuck out

Well until They can get the materials they need to open a portal. I’ll let you figure out the rest, but congrats ramshackle you now have a god in your abode 😃✨

Anyways, for skills of the archons-

Dendro Archon

I think they'd use a sword or a catalyst tbh, if the skills you listed, it makes a little more sense to have them be more of a catalyst

For their elemental skill, I think they'd summon/throw something similar to Klee's and Aloy's elemental skill except they heal if someone in your party is nearby, their healing could scale by their EM or ER.

For their burst, I like your head canon for the Dendro Archon, so I might go off from that and your idea for their burst, just more tweaking. The dendro archon would be able to summon a large plant that heals AND deals Dendro damage by sapping mobs hp. The amount of life sapping it does and the healing would scale off their original HP (artifacts that give hp won't be of use)

Hydro Archon

I agree with hydro polearm or sword. Too many catalysts

Mmm... To be honest, I think you should have the burst be her skill... The whip idea is intriguing, but I think it would work more for a skill which can allow them to use it several times before waiting for the CD to go down. I think the whip skill would work better with Crit as well.

AND AS FOR THE MENTIONS OF WAVE AND A SEA CREATURE, I'LL DO YOU ONE BETTER BUT FOR THEIR BURST!!!! They summon a large tsunami which takes form of a monster/animal and lunges at the mobs (similar to Zhongli tossing down a dumbbell), however the amount of damage the burst can do is depending on if they are afflicted by the wet status the mobs are afflicted by. If already afflicted with hydro, the mobs would receive double damage while those with other elements afflicted on them would receive the element combination DMG and normal DMG while those that aren't affected by an element, they would receive normal damage. The amount of damage the burst does is scaled by EM.

Pyro Archon

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA CLAYMORE

Hmmm.... I think the skill would be they set an AoE with magma, mobs will receive damage from it and will continue to receive damage if they stay on it, but those who are in party, they will receive an ATK boost that scales from HP.

For the burst, I think I'll use a character from Honkai Impact with their special move which is Murata Himeko in Vermilion Knight: Eclipse battlesuit. Pyro Archon uses their claymore and another claymore but made of pyro and is far more larger and their cut scene has the Archon raise the pyro claymore above their head and slam it down to send pyro erupting from the ground (similar to the pyro axe wielding hilichurls)

Cryo Archon

I agree with catalyst

Mmmmmm.... I'd say her skill would beeeeee... Trapping several mobs or so in ice. They can either do 2-4 ice traps depending if you got their c1. (The ice traps are similar to Mirror Maidens traps BTW but it deals or affects the mobs with cryo)

For burst, I like the idea of summoning a blizzard/swords, but it's similar to Ganyu's. SO I'LL DO YOU ONE BETTER!!!! Cryo Archon will summon a blizzard which freezes mobs without having to use hydro, the freeze status lasts for a total of 15 seconds or higher if you got their c3

Hmmm... I like the idea, but imma tweak it a bit. The archon was in fact summoned through that portal because Grim decided to mess it up just for Yuu to stay a little longer, and so the Archon now resides in Twisted Wonderland as well in order to aide them until they can return back to their world. That way it makes more sense and makes it more fun.

After the Pokemon story

How can you trust a vampire? ShadowySun (Kalim x Eclipse angst/comfort?)

Eclipse hasn't showed up in a bit, he started declining invites. Kalim slowly started to worry about Eclipse. He distinctly remembered the broken hearted look in Eclipse's eyes as Noviern. The more he remembered it the more it hurt. Grim kept coming to tell people that Eclipse was extremely upset for some reason and is refusing to show himself. Grim mentioned how he's been acting refusing to feed on blood and is starting to slowly weaken. Grim mentioned him muttering about Kalim. He can't tell what he's muttering though. Grim knows the look in Eclipse's eyes, it's heartbreak. He locked himself in his room in Ramshackle and Grim was desperately trying to get help. "He's good deep down!" Grim yelled. "PLEASE! IF HE GOES COMATOSE HE MIGHT NOT WAKE UP!" Grim deep down wanted Eclipse to be okay. He deep down grew a heart for the vampire. Grim found Shu eventually explaining everything. "And he's told me if he goes Comatose he might not wake up and I can tell he's close to slipping into one! Please please help!"

Eclipse couldn't take hiding it anymore

It was a Wanou dorm Karaoke party and Eclipse was surprisingly holding back his temper. Probably cuz he wasn't paying attention his mind somewhere else. 'I should tell them...... I'm getting sick of hiding it.' "Eli, you alright? Are you tired?" Kalim asked. Eli closed his eyes and stood. He then cleared his throat. "I can't hide this anymore. Hiding it is hell for me! So I'm going to expose this the only way I know how." Eclipse walked up to the microphone. "Bite my tounge bide my time.......... wearing a warning sign, wait till the world is mine~" He started one hand going to his mask. "Visions I vandalized, cold in my kingdom side, fell for these ocean eyes~" he took the mask off. "YOU SHOULD SEE ME IN A CROWN~!" He showed fangs. "I'M GONNA RUN THIS NOTHING TOWN~ WATCH ME MAKE EM BOW 1 BY 1 BY 1BY 1 x2." He stopped there. "You who had suspicions about me, it's true. I'm not human, I'm a vampire, a creature that feeds on blood to survive......hate me if you want, but I couldn't keep the secret anymore." "I don't hate you Eli. I think you're cool no matter what you are." Said Kalim. "And if everyone here has a heart it wouldn't matter to them either." Eli smiled.

Kalim x Eclipse (ShadowySun)

Within Ramshackle a certain vampire (everyone knows this now.) Was realizing a few things. "I don't know if Kalim can actually trust me...... I'm a vampire for crying out loud. I am capable of hurting him. What if I can't stop myself from-" he paused unable to finish the statement. "I don't want to ever hurt him.....but what if I do? I'd never forgive myself..........." Eclipse was speaking to himself as Grim went off to find Shu. He trusted the Wanou dorm completely, even if Eclipse didn't. "SHU! I NEED HELP WITH MY HENCHMAN!" said the little fiery cat.

Twst x PKMN an unexpected change

Eclipse (Noviern) and Kalim (Zangoose)

Inspired by: @wanou-dorm

When Shu and Flyod who was a pokemon now himself got too close is when Eclipse now Noviern glared at them hissing. Then he talked to Kalim now Zangoose and soon both went running. As Flyod ran after them Eclipse crouched down letting Kalim on his back. Then he took off in flight. Letting out a supersonic wave which blew Flyod back. Soon they were far out of veiw. "Zan. Zan zan zan." "Screeee." Noviern was soon in a tree deep in the woods hugging on Zangoose, both really being Eclipse and Kalim. Not even Azul could find them. "Great, we lost Eclipse and Kalim because Eclipse JUST HAD to run away with Kalim." Azul sighed.
