Bradley has a little Rooster figurine in the front of his jeep, he got as a gag joke and was gonna leave it at whatever house he got it at but now has emotional attachment to it.

Jake's go to song in Karaoke when he is sober is Queen, he will belt out We Will Rock you, but when he is drunk enough he will sing Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 with every bit of southern twang he can

When Bob is really angry he will drop his midwest accent and go full on southern, like deep south

Natasha lost a bet in high school and had to get a bad tattoo, said tattoo was something like a duck with a cowboy hat, or stupid quote, you decide

Mickey unironically sings the lyrics to Taylor Swift's Love Story, like he will sing the bridge at the top of his lungs going sixty on the highway.

Rueben is the kind of guy to say he won't rage quit a video game then will toss the controller after failing two time's.

Javy would be the kind of guy who would let a kid paint his nail's, pink purple yellow, he does not care he will flaunt it off it because it makes the kid happy.

Bradley would somehow get a cat or dog, like one of those distribution system's like on tiktok, he would say he would foster it but end up keeping it naming it something human like, Kevin or Betty

Natasha say's she dosent like country music, but wont admit she would get down to some Luke Bryan here and there because who wouldn't

Bob seems like if he was put into a situation where him and his friend's got lost, he would be the calm one but on the inside he is panicking, he will see an exit sign with a restaurant and be like. "Guy's its okay there's burgers."

Javy will pull over when he sees cows and take there picture's. No joke would even try and pet one.

Rueben and Mickey are the worst people when it comes to trivia because they are so good at it, when they get an answer right they increasingly get more competitive.

Jake cried playing RDR2 when Arthur died and he also despised Micah like the rest of us.

Rueben is great at bowling, so good that most of the time no one play's with him

Bob will doodle little drawings on sticky note or notebook's when he is bored and give them to any of the dagger's, He drew Natasha a sketch of bird, she kept it in her locker.

Bradley has a mixtape from his dad, Goose, titled "Song's You Need to Hear Once", it's all filled with songs from the Sixties to the Eighties, all classic's from Rock to Motown, after his mom died he didnt dare to touch it, after the uranium mission he starting listening again.

Natasha has bracelets from her little cousin's that she wear's for good luck, they are bright yellow and purple string's, she never take's them off ever

Jake collects stickers from each state, his dad used to bring him a sticker from each of his trips before he got too busy, so he is trying to finish them off himself.

Mickey has a tattoo to honor his family, a way to have a piece of them everywhere he goes. A small quote in Spanish on his side stating Por aquellos que amo me sacrificaré/For those I love I will sacrifice

Reuben like to sleep in a hammock sometime's under the stars, reminding him of his childhood and growing up in the south, when he would play outside with his siblings

Javy is a momma's boy, in a good way, this man will always call his mom or text her about the thing's going on his life, before a big mission or detachment he calls her, tell her he loves her.

Jake has stepped on a jellyfish on a beach, after saying "oh they dont sting'" just for him to get shocked

Bradley broke his arm doing stunts on his bike as a kid, he has permanent scars on his forearm, he did in fact do it twice till Carole told him to not do it again.

Natasha and Bob learned the Rasputin Dance from Just Dance

Mickey has argued with people that pineapple belongs on pizza, he will full on go tooth and nail to defend his claims.

Reuben has knocked the Radio off in the Rec room, and has blamed it on Hangman, it was a whole debacle

Javy has a fear of snake's, he found one once and he took of running leaving his friend's to deal with it.

OKAY THAT IS ALL SHE WROTE, I know some of these dont make sense but I dont care i needed a stress reliver before another stressful week. AND THATS ALL SHE WILL WRITE BECAUSE THIS FAILED AGAIN

I had an incredible time at the Midwest Gaming Classic! I haven’t been in years, and it was so much grander than I expected. Hundreds of arcade and console games to try, tons of cool merch, fascinating exhibits, and more!

The most nostalgic display was the recreation of a 90s video game store. I was so happy seeing all those old signs and demo machines from my childhood. I can’t wait to go again next time.

What music do each of the Batfamily members listen to?

Bruce: the man almost solely listens to classical or smooth jazz on an old fashioned record. He's very picky about which black metal bands he listens to and will often have to get custom records because of how underground it is.

Dick: he's not picky but he has his favs. Mainly Kesha, ABBA and other dance bops, but he'll listen to anything upbeat. Survivor and Van Halen also hold places in his heart.

Jason: listen he won't admit it, but he adores Gaga and Katy Perry. His general music lends itself to classic rock, grunge, and alt rock though. He and Dick have a very similar list of top artists.

Tim: video game sound tracks and Weezer. I'm sorry he ironically started listening to Weezer only to become trapped.

Damian: he doesn't like music. Kidding, he's still discovering genres and tends to find himself leaning towards doom metal or midwest emo.

Steph: she likes everything. No really she'll listen to anything.

Cass: she likes stuff that she can dance to and feel. Which doesn't actually say anything about the actual dancablity of the song. She likes music without lyrics and desires to feel the song.

Babs: she finds herself listening to 60s music as a whole more often than not. Also a fan of movie soundtracks.

Alfred: he would be lying if he said he wasn't a fan of folk songs. They're a great hum while cleaning the manor. Other than that he's a classical man.

what is your dream game? what game would you will into existence if you could

I had an idea for a classic style Fallout game that takes place in the Midwest all about rebuilding the railroads and civilization.

It would be about Ronto (Toronto) seeking to expand their trade routes to better supply their new struggle against the Great Lakelurks. You would take an ever growing train convoy across the Midwest to other places and bring supplies / people and support back.

There wouldn't be "factions" like in the previous newer games, but there would be a Kingdom building aspect where you can find unique leaders who can help build Ronto.

The greater plot and theme of the game would be less good vs evil and more about how far are you willing to compromise your own goals to build something greater than yourself. Would you let a tribe of once raiders take control of a nearby factory if it meant they would provide more munitions back home even if they killed someone you respected early on in game? But rather than the usual video game "oooooooo actions have consequences and it's a stat buff maybe?" you also have to accept those consequences and deal with them as they evolve. You'll have to revisit past choices and expand on your own shortcomings as a builder of a new world.

Also the main villain is an Animatronic Moose Mascot or something.

Day Five of @bylerweek2023 - Secret Identities aka - the Modern!Byler + DnD AU no one asked for

The Secret

The Cleric (Will) & The Paladin (Mike) have been playing digital campaigns together for nearly five years now, after Mike‘s then-newfound investment in Critical Role inspired him to hunt for an online DnD game to play for himself.

Inseparable on the pixelated battlefield, their half a decade of campaigning together has slowly turned them into the best of (digital) friends, as they’ve shared their deepest secrets in the anonymous-but-meaningful way you can only online. From Will admitting that his main concern even outside being ridiculed for his sexuality is healing from childhood PTSD to Mike admitting that his picture-perfect family hates his interests and would never accept that he likes guys, both of them have learned to defer to each other in and out of campaigns—they have grown deeply fond of each other through their characters’ adventures…and chats that mean more to both of them than they would dare admit aloud.

Even so, all the Cleric and the Paladin really know about each other on a practical level is that they’re both 20 this year, are both in college now, and that they both come from the Midwest—though they do hope to meet one day if it ever makes sense.

There really is nothing like a friend who gets to see the sides of you you’re not allowed to show in any other space—and neither of them wants to live their entire lives without someone who treats them as well as their longtime D&D companion.

The Identities

Mike Wheeler and Will Byers have been in each other’s orbit since elementary school in Hawkins, though Will’s been pretty distant about keeping tabs on Mike since he dated (and subsequently broke up) with his sister El during freshman year. Mike always enjoyed the time he spent with Will and could tell that Will felt the same, though Mike knew from the second he broke up with El that Will’s love for his family was going to take precedence over their mutual interest in the same (nerdy) things—the same way it did for his sister Nancy when she broke up with Will’s brother, Jonathan, when they went to college.

It’s been years since that happened now, though—and the last time Mike spoke to Will was when they gave each other a friendly hug goodbye the day of high school graduation. Now well into his 3rd year of college, Mike only knows that Will goes to IU just like he does…but on a campus of over 30,000 people and as an English major to Will’s Visual Arts, it’s not like they see each other.

Even so, time away from his exacting family has made Mike more comfortable, and he has slowly realized that it’s time to branch out of his solely hypothetical “rebellious” spaces and into meeting real people who share his interests—to fully embrace is love of DnD in real life to learn the fine art of figurine painting, soak up all the wisdom to be found in classic printed dungeon master guides, and experience the ruckus of a well-strategized in-person campaign. That’s why, on one rainy Friday night in March, he wanders into the Hellfire Club—the on-campus DnD group he’s heard of but never been brave enough to join.

Given his knowledge of Will from all those years ago, seeing the guy he grew up with sitting next to him for Eddie Munson’s grungy basement campaign wasn’t all that much of a surprise, actually. What was a surprise was what happened when he looked down at the table in front of the boy next to him….only to see “Will the Wise” at the top of Will Byers character sheet, plain as day.

tl;dr - you're 20, and your long-time online crush bestie who knows all your secrets turns out to be the brother of the girl you dated for five seconds at 14. Chaos ensues.

extremely gratified by the positive response to My Personal Ideas about what the alpha trolls would listen to which motivated me to consider the rest of the cast as well. posting the dancestors first because i fear i may forget them otherwise.

Damara: visual kei, j-rock, and riot grrl. doesn't listen to country much but has a healthy appreciation for the "woman kills her abusive husband" subgenre. Rufioh: ska and pop-y love songs. also just likes anything he can sing along to. Mituna: hyperpop and educational rap. likes the noise from those algorithm sorting videos. Kankri: if you ask him he'll just go on a rant about how the music industry is Problematique and never actually answer the question but he secretly listens to musical soundtracks and like. carpetgarden and Sir Chloe and other repressed longing bands. Meulin: classic emo and pop punk, also listened to a lot of nightcore edits. usually let kurloz pick the music when they were hanging out, but didn't listen to his stuff on her own time. Porrim: goth queen. Lebanon Hanover, Xmal Deutschland, Siouxie. outside of goth probably enjoys Marina Diamandus and Hozier. Latula: game soundtracks, riot grrl, queer punk. G.L.O.S.S. and Bikini Kill. Aranea: Scissor Sisters, Autoheart, The Taxpayers. anything that would have been on a yuno gasai playlist in 2015. most of her friends think shes a classical music person and she doesn't go out of her way to correct them. Horuss: midwest emo and extremely grating meme edits youd find on youtube during a rabbit hole at 3am. Kurloz: juggalo stuff & brutal death metal. Cannibal Corpse, Carcass, Urgehal. anything where the growling is barely distinguishable from the lyrics. Cronus: showtunes, early rock and roll.
