The team not communicating about their Halloween costumes AT ALL and all thinking they have a HILARIOUS one of a kind idea to dress up as Roy so all the players start filing in one at a time waiting to see the annoyed look on Roy’s face only to find out that everybody else had the same idea and Roy has to spend the entire night putting up with every single one of them trying to copy his voice and mannerisms and complaining that he sounds and acts nothing like that (which okay is true of Dani’s impression of him but a lot of them are pretty good at it)

Jamie’s impression of him annoys Roy the most and he argues against it the most, but Keeley is absolutely losing her shit laughing and refusing to pretend it isn’t accurate

Is Jamie absolutely exaggerating Roy’s age? Yes. Is he trying to exaggerate Roy’s grouchiness and accidentally landing on almost direct quotes out of him that just make Keeley laugh harder? Absolutely. And he’s been watching Roy’s mannerisms and locking them into his memory to use to make fun of him for years before he ever decided to dress up as him so his performance is the most ridiculously over the top and yet also the most accurate at the same time

The way you put your Tumblr handle on the shoulders of your characters in that little red box never fails to make me laugh, because it looks just like the tag of a plushie sticking out of a seam to me. I cannot see any of your art without seeing the little red square as a plush tag lol.

So I actually started doing that again bc a different anon sent me an ask saying they really liked how I used to put my name on my art like a little clothes label- I forgot for a while that I used to do it like that bc honestly I just forget how I do my signature alot - but yeah anon reminded me so now you guys get my characters looking like plushes

Alright, alright, I've watched the death from every possible view, and somehow NO ONE actually saw it, which is wild to me

Because that death happened INSTANTLY

And the way the workers immediately stopped moving afterwards like they were surprised, almost makes me feel like that wasn't supposed to happen like that

Like, from the way everyone was acting before that, it's pretty clear that an egg was either supposed to lose a life, or get pretty damn close. But what happened there SPECIFICALLY didn't feel purposeful

Obviously this is just my speculation, and I doubt it'll get reversed or anything, but I do have to agree that the way it happened feels unsatisfying. Kinda similar to how Etoiles lost his first fight against the Code. Like the admins had to step in to make a plot thing happen. Which I understand, things like that are necessary, but that doesn't change the way it feels, you know???

(Also I can sense the angst from both Bad and Phil. Bad always blames himself when an egg dies, and we know that the Eye Guys are specifically looking for Phil right now. On top of whatever Phil was hinting at for tomorrow, it's gonna be a day for various reasons I'm sure)

i like to think Jon just picked up skills with help from the Eye, not for the purpose of being a hobby, but to solve problems he noticed but didn't have the needed skills to fix (like plumbing, electrical work, et cetera)

like imagine:

basira or melanie comes into the institute late, maybe they forgot something or maybe they're just trying to fuck with the Eye, regardless, they hear suspicious noises coming from Jon's office and throw open the door, brandishing their weapon of choice to find Jon sitting in the dark, illuminated only by the screen of his laptop and,,,,coding ?

they demand to know what he's doing because since when has Jon known about anything computer related ?? he looks up, fairly annoyed, though whether from the intrusion or his current project is unclear, and explains that the institute website is dreadfully out of date (forcing people to actually come into the institute) to the point it borders on serving the Spiral ("it's worse than yale's art website ! have you seen the yale art website ?!") and he's decided to fix it. mostly to fuck with Elias. but also because it needs to be done by someone. better him than another avatar

Melanie / Basira leave Jon tapping away at his keyboard in the dark, utterly bewildered, but hey, at least he's not traumatizing random passersbys anymore

A startled laugh bounces from Hero’s chest. “…Really? That’s all you’ve got?”

“Evil-doing takes planning, why do you think I only attack the city once a week?”

“I thought it was because you were in college and that was the only day you didn’t have class—“

“Never mind that! Are you coming home with me or not?”

“…Fine.”

(that’s my favorite part, im cheating because that’s my favorite part. it’s technically six sentences! it’s just six sentences of mostly dialogue.)

Hero’s hair is matted. His suit looks like it hasn’t been washed and there are new tears in it. Hero is… thinner than usual? He looks exhausted. There are smudges of dirt on his cheeks and he’s shivering. He’s soaked. Where’s his cape?

Something went wrong. Something went wrong very, very quickly.

(same wip, it’s the one i’m most proud of that isn’t a vent-fic/CRAZY whump. maybe, if i ever finish it, i’ll post it!)
