i. eat what's good for your gut, not what tastes good to your mouth. prioritize gut health by cutting out constant grease and sugar, drink lemon water and herbal teas. include skin loving nutrients in your meals: blueberries, almonds, spinach, cucumbers. 🍋

I was reading the two posts about Tim's Christmas list, and just thought of the Bat Family noticing how happy Tim is.
Maybe Damian sees the new brushes and asks why Tim has Stephanie's things?
"Oh no, those aren't her's. They're mine. Danny got them for me cause they were on my list. I've needed a new set for a few years, but I only remember when I'm on a mission and needs to use them. Isn't he so sweet? And he got me really good quality ones, too!"
Or Jason mocking Tim for finally getting new hoodies. And instead of huffing or quipping back, Tim just brightens. Smiling in a way Jason's never seen.
"Danny got them for me! They're so soft. There's some of my favorite gifts from him! It's honestly nice to have new clothes that aren't formal. I'm so happy he read my list." And kinda just bounces away.
Maybe Bruce asking if Tim finally got new cups for his office?
"Danny's so sweet, isn't he? He found my list for Christmas and decided to get me a few mugs and thermoses. It's great I don't have to worry about accidentally cutting my mouth open again." 😊
Or Stephanie (who was injured on patrol and Tim's Nest, with apartment on top, was the closest place she could get to.) commenting on the fact that Tim has a lot of blankets, pillows, and plushies.
"Danny got them for me for Christmas I love how soft and warm everything is. He even found a plushie of a sleeping ghost! It's weighted, has a heating feature, and is made of glow in the dark fabric. Matter of fact, almost all the plushies and blankets he got me were weighted! Just like I had written on my list. They make me feel so loved. After all, he wants me to feel warm and safe, what's more considerate than that?"
Cass looks for Tim, knowing he's staying in the manor overnight because of a gala the next day. She hears music coming from the bathroom, but the light isn't on. So she goes in to turn it off, just in case Tim accidentally left it on. Only to see that there is a light on. A music box made to look like a record player spinning a vinyl, projecting blue light to look like you were underwater. Tim was in the bathtub, with the music box on the rim.
After the kerfuffle of them realizing Cass walked in on Tim taking a bath, and Tim getting dressed quickly, Cassandra asks him where he got it? It's cute and sounds really nice.
"Oh, it's a gift from Danny. He gave me it for Christmas. He knows I like cute things like that. And it's nice to listen to. He even got me this cat eared fluffy hairband for when I do my skincare or makeup! So cute, right?" đŸ„°
And slowly, all of them realize they never got Tim what he wanted. They try to justify it by saying he put tech on the list, but they look back through past lists and realize Tim changed his list because no one ever got him what he put on the list.

For example, Damian’s interests are pretty well known (art supplies, things for his animals, weapons), so most of the family can buy him something without needing to check his list. But for someone like Alfred or Bruce, where their preferences might be harder to pin down, the list serves as a guide.
With Tim, the family assumes they already know what he likes. They don’t think they need to check his list because, in their minds, they already understand him. So they keep giving him things they know he uses—cameras, electronics, hard drives—without realizing he already has more than enough. It’s not necessarily neglectful; it’s just a blind spot.
Danny, on the other hand, actually looks at the list. Not only because he wants to get Tim the best gifts possible, but because he lives with him. vessel doesn’t know anything about skincare but he knows it makes you happy. well
buying skincare products makes you happy, but he’s been encouraging you to finally use them.
as your bend down to rinse your face, you hear him stalk into the bathroom, humming contentedly. you dry your face and smile at him as he considers your little collection of products. your eyes aimlessly wander over his naked torso and long legs clad in jogger style sweats.
he lifts a small bottle with orange liquid in it. “what does this do, love?”
“it’s a chemical exfoliant,” you say shrugging. “Gets all dead skin cells off without scratching me up.”
“I see, I see. And this?” he lifts a small jar of cream that clearly boasts overnight under eye miracles on the label, but honestly he’s playing dumb just to show interest and be near you.
“oh, that’s just under eye cream. For fine lines. Dark circles. Whatever.”
“But you don’t have those.”
“Exactly.”
Your quick answer elicits a smirk and a little closed mouth laugh. As you apply your moisturizer you, see him take in your form
head to every precious toe
but not without letting his eyes linger on your soft, beloved midsection. His arms snake around your waist as his toned chest and abs press against your back.
You lean back, feeling his smooth skin share its delicious warmth with you.
“does it bother you, Ves, that I feel like I need all this stuff?” you ask, gesturing vaguely to your assortment of products.
He lets out a soft huff; it’s almost like you’ve insulted him.
“tsk. why ever would that bother me? Darling
don’t you see? This shows me
”
his hands begin to trail up your waist

“that you know how to take care of yourself. You have all the tools
”
his right hand gently caresses your chest, near your heart

“you simply require the encouragement to use them. To show yourself love.”
He nuzzles against the shell of your ear and whispers huskily, “just look at youïżœïżœlook in the mirror.”
You look and instinctively your eyes meet his. You take in his features. His pouty lips. His short but angular jaw. He shakes his head softly and hisses gently

“I said look at yourself, darling.”
And finally, you do. You consider yourself in your bralette, which does nothing but look pretty, offering no real support (Vessel approves of this wholeheartedly btw), and your old pj bottoms with some cute character on them. Your hair pulled back haphazardly with a fluffy headband.
“ok, I’m looking.” As if you’re expecting a lightning strike of inspiration and self-acceptance. You don’t look bad, but you don’t look your best. But somehow
that doesn’t matter. You feel an overwhelmingly pleasant sense of
neutrality.
“are you not glowing right now?” Vessel asks as his fingers delicately caress the column of your throat. You let out a soft gasp as his left hand gently grabs at the flesh of your waist and lower tummy. It is the very same flesh you prod at and attempt to hide
and the one that drives him to near insanity when he can only look but not touch. The same that has been marked with teasing bites and gentle bruises from his thumbs
holding you in place as he coaxes out the single prettiest sounds he’s had the pleasure of hearing
of producing.
“is this not the skin of someone who cares for themselves?” He continues, letting his lightly parted lips drag across your neck.

Since I discovered the online wellness, self-care and wonyoungism community early 2022, I've been on a mission to build my dream life, improve my mental and physical wellbeing and work on myself. It's a rocky road of trial and error: there's no nice way to put it. I've been at it for three years, and here are the growth tips that *actually* work.
Don't be influenced
Body-modifying workouts: Loveys, it is not possible to spot-reduce fat. No matter how appealing and easy it sounds. If you are unhappy about fat on your body, go into a healthy calorie deficit. Workouts alone cannot possibly shrink your waist, reduce armpit fat or make your belly flat.
What workouts can do, is build muscle in certain areas, making them look more toned or bigger, and play an important part in making a calorie deficit effective.
Health gadgets: it doesn't take much scientific knowledge to think critically about what you're buying. I won't drop any names, but technology that promises 'Detox' of your organs or miraculous anti-ageing usually wants to steal your money, profit off of your insecurities and ailments.
The skincare industry: for a lot of people, skincare is self-care and a treat, which is completely fine, but in most cases, anything past a face wash, moisturiser and sunscreen (+ acne treatment, if needed) is not going to significantly better your results the way lifestyle changes do. Serums and toners are great, but *not* if you regularly touch your face with dirty hands, eat sugar or are dehydrated. You are just putting a band-aid on a bullet wound, and need to fix the bigger issue.
The elusive protein bars and shakes: check your ingredients. Some 'Health' foods out there have nasty stuff, never mind being ultraprocessed and lacking the nutrients the whole foods it is replacing provide. Just because it is fortified with vitamins doesn't mean it's healthy. You shouldn't be eating so many sweeteners, preservatives, colourants, texture and flavour modifiers unaware of the consequences.
Gold
Exercise: you've heard it before, a million times. It relieves stress, prevents cardiovascular disease, helps support your metabolism, clears your skin, helps your mental health... And there's something for everyone.
Diet: if you really want to glow up, you have to know what you're putting into your body is actually helping you. Prioritise whole foods (That is, food that hasn't been processed), get your protein, fibre, micronutrients, stay away from sugar, dairy and animal fat. Dieticians fight a lot, but this has personally helped me. In fact, it has: cleared my skin, improved my mental health by improving my gut health, helped my hair and nails grow stronger and healthier, sped up my metabolism like nobody's business, and made me feel more comfortable in my own body.
Little moments of self-love: This could be anything: sitting in the garden in the morning and watching the sun rise, eating a specific snack and reading in your study breaks, bathing with scented soaps and a cup of tea, doing a face mask and meditating, just those little moments in your daily or weekly routine that motivates you to keep living your best life. It can be anything that reminds you of what you love in the world.
Planning: writing out a study plan is your ticket to good grades (If you can stick to it). Planning your meals and exercise helps you to keep your physical health up. Planning mental health breaks in between your activities and tasks help you stay sane. A bullet journal is best for this, in whatever medium (Digital or physical) you prefer.
Remember: real, long-lasting results that will benefit you for life do not come overnight. If you aren't where you want to be, don't worry, because I can assure you that you will get there if you keep trying.
