Case Files Pt.1 (intro)
Simon Riley "Ghost" x UN lawyer Reader
TF 141 receives a visit from a UN prosecutor working at the ICC. This overworked prosecutor is trying to build a case against war criminals and must team up with them to catch these criminals. Along the way, they may even catch feelings for a brooding soldier. slow-burn, M/F, mention of law terms, Human rights violation (genocide), cursing
>> Part 2
The dim, sterile lights of the briefing room flickered overhead as the members of Task Force 141 gathered around the table along with Core, a fellow private military group that was hired along with 141 for a mission. Soap MacTavish leaned forward, eyes locked on the Price as he gave the mission report, his fingers drumming quietly on the polished surface. Price, ever the sentinel, stood at the center of the room along with Leopold; the captain of Core a fellow private military company. Ghost remained an imposing figure at the far end of the room leaning against the side wall. Gaz who was sitting in the seat next to Price listened in on the report on their course of action as well as all information gathered on their target.
"Intel checks out," Soap muttered, his accent thick with the fatigue of too many nights spent in hostile territory. "I think we’ve got it locked down."
Price didn't respond immediately, waiting for the Core captain to add any information on their part. "Just keep sharp. We're not totally out of the blue just yet," Price said.
“Not much to worry about, luckily, but who knows, maybe if we find these bastards as fast as we can, we can have some fun with them,” Leopold snickers in a sadistic tone. 141 just staring at him with disdain in their eyes. Even though they are fellow operatives in this mission, 141 and Core did not see eye to eye on matters surrounding how they handled the enemy combatants. While 141 would be over and done with it. Core, they came to find out they were ruthless and would like to “play” with the enemy, much to the discomfort of others.
“Prick,” Ghost rumbles under his breath, low enough that it couldn't be heard.
Before anyone could reply, the door swung open, and all operatives in the room shot from their seats at the sudden interruption. Two armed guards came in and following after them a woman wearing a suit that screamed of legal authority rather than combat experience walked in. The woman’s eyes flicked across the room, taking in each of them, her gaze cold and unwavering.
"Hello Gentleman, I do hope I'm not interrupting at a bad time but I have a pressing issue at the moment" the lawyer’s voice cut through the tension like a blade. Not waiting for an invitation, stepping fully into the room, and looking directly at Price and Leopold.
"Excuse me?" Leapold barked, his brows furrowing as he straightened, clearly not amused. "And who exactly are you? And what the fuck are you doing here?”
The lawyer didn’t flinch at the sudden hostility. "I’m ___, a lawyer assigned by the United Nations to prosecute violations of international law," she said, her voice laced with authority. "I’m here on a matter of grave importance. It seems there have been violations in more ways than one."
Price exchanged glances with Ghost, each sensing the impending storm. "What’s this about?" Price asked, his tone sharp but controlled.
___ walking further into the long table in the middle and held up a folder, its contents heavy with the weight of documents, before dropping it onto the center table "Leopold O'Reilly you are being detained on violations of International Humanitarian laws along with all other soldiers under the command of the Private Military Company “Core”," she said, letting the words sink in. "Violated the Geneva Conventions, among other things. you’ll either face prosecution or give up your position and pay a hefty fine. The decision is yours, but I’m here to make sure that happens and you're brought in." She says as the 2 armed guards come around cuffing Leopold,
“What the fuck do you mean violation I haven't done shit, and Im a private actor, not a state, so the Geneva Conventions don't apply to me,” Leopold screams at the lady as he struggles against the 2 guards.
“Under certain circumstances, yes, but 3 years ago, you were hired by a state official in Nigeria to clear out a village to make way for oil drilling in the area where you were not, and while there, it was reported that your team violated multiple human rights law including the violation of the 1948 genocide convention, and since you where hired by a state official you are considered a state actor under contract,” ___ states with a cold glare towards Leopold. As she motions her head to the 2 guards to escort him out.
"You can't Fucking do this to me- fuck stop let me go!" Leopold yells as he's dragged out of the room by the guards.
“Hold, you can't just come barging in here like this,” Soap says as he stands up, half yelling at the lawyer.
___ not flinching turns to him saying. "This is a matter of international law, and as of now out of yalls hands. So unless you want to see the rest of your operation crumble under legal scrutiny, I suggest you start taking this seriously and just let me do my job,"
The room seemed to freeze, the air thick with the weight of her words. Ghost’s gloved hands tightened into fists, his gaze never leaving ___. The lawyer wasn’t backing down. She had a mission, and She would not be swayed.
Price stepped forward, his voice low but filled with command. "We have a mission that we are carrying out. We can't just up and stop this. You think you can just waltz in here and disrupt everything we’ve worked on?"
___ met his gaze head-on. "I don’t care about your mission. What I care about is justice. And that’s what you’re going to face, whether you like it or not," she says, ending the conversation as she turns around leaving the room.
Price’s phone rings soon after. “Laswell, what the bloody hell is going on right now?” He half yells through the phone.
“Sorry, John, I guess you just met the reason for my call,” Laswell says from the other side of the phone, sighing. “That was __ a UN litigator. It seems like they are starting to push harder to crack down on violations by sending out their dogs to bring them in. And Leopold was apparently on the top of their list. I tried to call you about the situation as soon as I caught word, but seems I was just a tad bit late,”
Price grumbles “So what do we do now?”
“Nothing, the mission is being called off, think of it as an early break let off to go home,” Laswell says in a monotone voice before ending the call.
Soap leans over looking over to Ghost with one of his trademark grins. “Well that was something,” he says with a chuckle. “But I will have to say seeing a lassie like that being so commanding is kinda hot, ain't it LT,” he says.
Ghost looks at him with annoyance through his mask, saying, “Can it, Johnny” as he pushes off the wall, leaving the room annoyed with the whole situation. Thinking back to the lawyer. Hoping for his annoyance that he doesn't have to deal with that shit again.
Okay hey, y'all this is my first fic ever so not the best but will edit and add more here and there as I figure out what I'm meant to do and how this app works lol.
I'm always open to little imagine ideas or other stuff. but this fic will take some time also will make a masterlist for it as soon as I figure it all out.
but yeah hope you like this kinda a law nerd but to make it interesting it's not 100% accurate but if I can help it I will be in some.

Echoes of Duty (COD Sentinel AU) - Chp 1
Summary: In a world where Sentinels rely on their Guides to balance their heightened senses, it’s unheard of for one Guide to bond with more than one Sentinel. That is, until Y/n. Task Force 141’s bond with her isn’t just unusual—it’s unprecedented. But as their missions grow more dangerous, so does the bond they share.
Echoes of Duty Masterlist
Sentinel!Task Force 141 x fem!Guide!Reader
Warnings: Discrimination and canon-typical violence
The world of Sentinels and Guides had always operated within a strict system, especially in the military. A Guide’s primary role was to stabilize one Sentinel at a time, to bond with them in a way that allowed their heightened senses to function without breaking them. That was how it was supposed to work.
Y/n had been without a Sentinel for a long time. After leaving her former post, she had grown used to a life of solitude, working quietly behind the scenes for the military, offering her skills when needed but never getting close enough to bond again.
That changed the day she was called into an emergency meeting with Captain John Price.
The base was buzzing with quiet tension. Y/n could feel it the moment she stepped into the room, the weight of chaos pressing against her. Sentinels were trained to handle intense situations, but the four men standing in front of her were visibly strained, their senses threatening to spiral out of control. She had heard of Task Force 141—a covert team known for its dangerous missions—but seeing them like this was different.
“Thank you for coming, Guide Y/n.” Laswell greeted her with a nod, but her expression was tight, as if holding back worry.
Y/n’s gaze shifted to Price, who stood in the center, his face a mask of calm that barely concealed his discomfort. His senses were on high alert, but it was clear he was keeping himself together, likely for the sake of the others. Next to him was a tall, silent man in a skull mask—Ghost, she remembered from the brief files she had been given. He looked composed but rigid, as if any moment could push him over the edge.
Two others stood nearby—one with short, cropped hair and an expression that flickered between irritation and pain, and another with a ruffled mohawk who was pacing restlessly. Sergeants Garrick and MacTavish.
“Captain Price,” Y/n began cautiously, feeling the intense pressure of their combined senses even from across the room that had begun rolling into a headache at the base of her skull. “I was told you needed assistance.”
Price nodded, his voice gravelly. “We had a mission that went sideways. Our usual Guide didn’t make it, and we’ve been running ops without support since. But we’re starting to burn out.”
Y/n winced in sympathy. It was already rare enough for a squad to operate with more than one Sentinel, let alone four. Without a Guide to help manage the sensory overloads, it was a ticking time bomb.
“How have you been managing?” she asked, looking between them, though not really needing an answer. The air around them felt heavy, like too many frequencies clashing against each other. Soap was rubbing his temples, and Gaz seemed to be trying to tune out the world around him, though his twitching hands gave away how on edge he was.
“We haven’t,” Soap muttered.
Ghost’s voice was a low rumble as he crossed his arms. “We’re doin’ what we can. But it’s startin’ to show.”
Y/n could feel it. The sharp prickle of overstimulation, like static filling the air. They had been fighting it off, pushing themselves through missions without support, and it was wearing them down.
“I’ll need to assess each of you,” she said, her tone steady as she approached them.
Soap raised an eyebrow, a small smirk playing on his lips despite the tension. “Assess, huh? This is gonna be fun.”
But the moment Y/n reached out, the shift in the air was palpable. She didn’t even need to make contact to sense the overwhelming bond already forming between them. It was unlike anything she had ever felt before. A connection sparked not just with one of them, but all four. It was as if each of their senses reached out for her at the same time, an instinctive pull for stability.
“What the hell…” Y/n whispered under her breath, stumbling back slightly. She had dealt with powerful Sentinels before, but this was different. The bond—no, the bonds—between them were instantaneous, like four currents merging into one, seeking her as their anchor.
Price was the first to notice her reaction, his brows furrowing. “What’s wrong?”
Y/n’s heart raced as she struggled to explain. “You—this isn’t possible.”
Guides were never meant to bond with more than one Sentinel at a time. The energy required to stabilize even one heightened set of senses was immense. To bond with all four? That had never happened before.
“You’re all connected to me,” she said, her voice low and uncertain, as she glanced at each of them. “I’ve never seen anything like this.”
Price’s eyes darkened, his mind already working through the implications. “And?”
“And... it means I might be able to help. But this bond—it’s stronger than anything I’ve felt before. I don’t know how stable it is.”
Soap smirked again, though it lacked his usual cockiness. “So, we’re your first, then? Lucky us.”
Gaz, finally speaking up, crossed his arms. “You’ve handled Sentinels before, haven’t you?”
“Of course I have,” Y/n replied, meeting his gaze. “But never like this. You’re all—”
“Linked to you,” Ghost finished, his voice a deep rumble. He was calm, but his focus was entirely on her, sensing the way her presence grounded him.
Price exchanged glances with the others before turning back to Y/n. “Can you help us or not?”
Y/n took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm her racing mind. “I can help. But we’re going to have to figure this out as we go. You’ll need to trust me.”
Soap chuckled softly. “We’ll manage. Seems like we’ve got no other choice, eh?”
Y/n smiled faintly, the weight of what was happening sinking in. “It’s not just you who needs to trust me. I’ll have to trust you too.”

The MSA-0011 S Gundam
The early success of Project Zeta led to many new and innovative mobile suit designs. The introduction of new materials, new mechanisms, new weapons technologies, and new design talent at Anaheim opened the door for the company to dominate the MS development sector into the mid 90s UC.
During this period, a number of machines based on Project Zeta would see deployment by factions all across Earth-sphere. many of these post-Zeta machines would come to be known as "Anaheim Gundams", and would be regarded as some of the most influential designs in the history of mobile suits.
Developed for the Earth Federation forces sometime in the late 80s UC, the MSA-0011 S Gundam, also called the Superior Gundam and Iota Gundam internally at Anaheim, is a bit less well-known than its other Project Zeta siblings.

The machine featured a modular design, made up of three high-performance aerospace craft which combined via a core block system to form the full mobile suit. These units were the FXA-08BG Core Fighter, the G-Bomber, and the G-Attacker.
Despite similarities to the MSZ-010 ZZ Gundam, the design teams for the two machines largely worked independently of one another.

The S Gundam featured some unique equipment for the time, including the Beam Smart Gun, a powerful rifle that connected directly to the machine's power plant. It was also one of the earliest adopters of INCOMs and the quasi-psycommu system. Quasi-psycommu technology allows non-Newtype pilots to make use of formerly Newtype-exclusive weapon systems.

The S Gundam also saw several upgrade plans. These plans included the MSA-0011 [BST] S Gundam Booster Unit Type, the MSA-0011 [Bst] S Gundam Booster Unit Plan 303E "Deep Striker" , and the MSA-0011 [Ext] Ex-S Gundam.

The MSA-0011 [BST] S Gundam Unit Type and the MSA-0011 [Ext] Ex-S Gundam are both upgrades applied to the original unit, but the "Deep Striker" equipment was never built. The "Deep Striker" does appear as a playable unit in the SD Gundam G Generation series of games.
The S Gundam would also be developed into the Nero, a mass-production variant taking cues from it and the Lambda Gundam. It was used as the mainstay MS of the Federation's Task Force Alpha.

While all of this is rather impressive, the most notable part of the machine was undeniably its greatest strength. The S Gundam was equipped with the Advanced Logistic and Inconsequence Cognizing Equipment system. "ALICE" - as she was better known - was an advanced artificial intelligence designed to replace a human pilot.
WARNING!
The following section contains MAJOR SPOILERS for Gundam Sentinel! If you are interested in reading it, I highly recommend you do so!

ALICE was developed by Anaheim scientists Dr. Carol and Dr. Roots to automate certain functions of mobile suits. While this was possible previously, commands had to be programmed into the MS via a command console. The final objective of the project was to fully automate a Gundam-type mobile suit using ALICE.
She was programmed to grow and learn by observing and analyzing the actions of pilots, and was treated like a daughter by Dr. Roots. This caused tensions with Dr. Carol and other factions at Anaheim. A suspected act of sabotage resulted in an explosion that nearly destroyed ALICE, but Dr. Roots gave her life protecting her. The project was shelved for a time.
ALICE was picked back up later, being installed in the S Gundam and paired with Ryou Roots under the Federation's Task Force Alpha. She, along with the S Gundam, saw action during the Pezun rebellion perpetrated by the New Desides faction. This faction of Titans remnants and loyalists sought to break away from the Federation to further their own interests.
During combat, Ryou's lack of skill resulted in multiple near-death experiences. ALICE was responsible for saving his life on multiple occasions.
Learning from Ryou and other Task Force Alpha pilots, ALICE eventually developed an awareness of the world. She would deduce that friends were the most important thing to a person, after initially failing to comprehend Ryou's grief at the death of his fellow pilots.
Following this logic, she would eventually sacrifice herself to save the lives of her comrades. Her final words were thanks to Ryou for the memories and lessons she learned from him.
She would be destroyed during atmospheric entry.
The above machines were all designed by Hajime Katoki for the 1987 photo-novel Gundam Sentinel. Gundam Sentinel was written by Masaya Takahashi and published in Model Graphix magazine.

Shadows Song
Part 1/?
Months of relentless searching finally leads Task Force 141 to the safe return of their missing Sergeant one John "Soap" MacTavish. However, their relief is short-lived when a mysterious song starts to play over the bases intercom, triggering something no one could have foresaw coming.
---
Soapghost if you squint. This is really more of a situational fic than romance or anything. Warning for graphic depictions of violence and injuries.
---
It rained the night they rescued Soap, adding an ominous atmosphere to an already precarious operation. But despite the gloomy weather, the mission had played out without so much as a hitch, even as the storm followed them back home, casting a foreboding shadow over their triumphant return.
Soft raindrops pitter pattered against the glass of the window opposite Soap’s bed in the infirmary, filling the room with a somber rhythm. Ghost sat in a well-worn chair at his bedside, his gloved hands resting on his knees as he kept a vigil over his Sergeant.
Months of uncertainty had taken its toll on the entire team, but Ghost had felt it more deeply than most; the weight of the loss a heavy burden on the Lieutenant’s shoulders, as it was on his watch that the Scot had been taken.
It had happened during a mission that had gone awry, and the consequences had been profound. The team felt the absence of Soap like a gaping wound, and Ghost, who had always been the stoic anchor, had found himself struggling to maintain his emotional barricade.
Ghost blamed himself for Soap’s capture, for not being vigilant enough to protect his Sergeant. Though he was relieved now that they had found him, and Soap was safe, he couldn’t shake the remorse that had haunted him since the day they had lost him. A bitter reminder of the cost of their dangerous profession.
In the brightly lit room Ghost watched Soap’s still form, his heart filled with worry as he waited for his Sergeant to wake. As soon as he was allowed to see Soap he had parked himself at his bedside and remained there- a silent sentinel- unwilling to let the man out of his sight again, afraid that if he were to turn his back for even just a moment Soap would be gone in the next.
The Scot’s hair was overgrown, his complexion pale, his lips chapped and cracked. There were some bruising and minor scratches on his face and body during the initial examination that hinted at the ordeal he had endured. But, miraculously, that seemed to be the extent of his injuries. It surprised everyone, including the doctors, at how well the enemy seemed to have kept him. Though relieved they hadn’t found Soap in poorer shape, the circumstances of his rescue gnawed at the back of Ghost’s mind, a sense of unease settling deep within him. Not only was Soap found relatively unscathed, but his rescue was met with almost little to no resistance as they stormed the enemy base. Gaz chalked it up to luck, simply relieved to find Soap alive after all this time, as was everyone. But Ghost wasn’t so sure. Even Price had looked a bit pensive when Ghost had brought up how easy the rescue seemed later while Soap was being checked over.
As Soap began to stir, Ghost leaned forward, his gloved hand hovering for a moment over Soap’s forearm before he withdrew it, suppressing the urge to touch him. Though he tried to keep himself composed, he couldn’t keep the quiver out of his voice as Soap finally opened his eyes and looked right at him. “Johnny,” Ghost croaked, his fists clenched tightly in his lap. A faint smile tugged at the corners of Soap’s lips as his eyes focused on his lieutenant’s masked face. “Ghost,” he rasped, his voice thick with fatigue.
As he gradually came to, Soap became aware of the rhythmic beeping of the nearby machinery. Tubes and wires snaked across his body connecting him to various monitors as well as an IV bag. Panic flickered briefly on his face, the beeping began to accelerate, but Ghost’s soothing voice cut through the fog of his confusion. “Easy, Soap,” Ghost spoke to him softly. “You’re okay. You’re in the infirmary.”
Soap’s wide, wandering eyes returned to his lieutenant seated at his bedside. Even with his face mostly concealed by his balaclava, Ghost’s presence was reassuring. Those piercing eyes that could wilt even the toughest of men under their intense gaze comforted Soap in a way nothing or no one else ever could.
“What… What happened?” Soap managed to croak, his throat dry and scratchy.
“You’ve been MIA for months, Sergeant,” Ghost replied, his brows furrowing. “You were… taken captive during the operation in Croatia.”
He blinked at Ghost, bewildered, but as he processed the Lieutenant’s words, fragments of memories began to swirl in his consciousness. Masked men, a jail cell, and behind it all a haunting melody that Soap couldn’t quite pin down the tune of.
Slowly Soap sat up in the bed. He opened his mouth to reply but at that moment the door swung open as Gaz and Captain Price entered the room.
“There he is. It’s about time you woke up,” Gaz ribbed as he stood at the foot of Soap’s bed with his arms crossed, though his expression held the same relief everyone shared at seeing Soap awake again.
“Glad to have you back, Sergeant Mactavish,” Price said, his voice gruff but filled with a genuine concern.
“Aye, sir,” Soap spoke, flashing them a half-hearted smile as he still struggled to remember what happened to him. “It’s good to… good to be back.” Ghost exchanged an uneasy glance with Price, their unspoken fears mirrored in each other’s eyes.
Price walked around to the other side of Soap’s bed and cleared his throat. “Soap,” he began softly. “I know you just woke up but… we need to know what happened. Anything you can remember.”
Soap’s brows furrowed as he strained to recall his time in captivity. He closed his eyes, trying to sift through the fractured pieces of his memory, but it was like trying to catch smoke with his bare hands.
The memories were fragmented and hazy. He could hear the clinking of chains and the distant echoes of screams- his own or someone else's, he couldn’t be sure.
But it was the music that plagued him the most- a melody that seemed to creep into every corner of his consciousness, yet he couldn’t place it. He tried to remember, to evoke its tune, but it still eluded him, a distant echo just out of reach. Like a forgotten word on the tip of one’s tongue.
With a frustrated sigh Soap opened his eyes and met Price’s concerned gaze. “I… I cannae remember much, sir. But… there was this… this music.”
Price frowned. “Music?” he repeated curiously.
“Aye, a song,” Soap confirmed with a nod. He swallowed thickly, his eyes darting around, still trying to recall it. “I ken I’ve heard it before but… I cannae place it. It’s there, in my head, if I could just…”
Soap tried to hum it. It was so familiar. He knows he’d heard it before, even before his capture, but it just wouldn’t come to him no matter how hard he tried, teetering on the outer fringes of his thoughts.
Ghost and Price shared another look, then Ghost glanced over at Gaz who simply shrugged.
Price stepped forward and placed a firm hand on Soap’s shoulder. “Don’t push yourself too hard, lad. You’re safe now. We’ll sort this all out after you’ve gotten some more rest.”
Soap nodded and leaned back, his eyelids heavy with exhaustion. Price gave Ghost one final nod before making for the door, ushering a now very worried looking Gaz out of the room with him.
Ghost remained seated, obeying Price’s unspoken command to stay put and keep a watch over the Sergeant. Not that he would have left Soap either way, still unwilling to retreat far from the Sergeant’s side.
Shadows of uncertainty lingered in Ghost’s mind as so many questions still loomed unanswered.
What had Soap endured during those months in captivity? How did he only manage to come away with a couple of scrapes? Why was he so fixated on a song out of everything? And why, once they located where they were holding him, did the enemy not put up a fight to stop them? As if they let him go willingly, like he was being returned to them.
It didn’t add up. The pieces of the puzzle eluded Ghost, and he couldn’t shake the feeling that something far more insidious was at play. The uncertainty gnawed at him.
Soap turned to Ghost and managed a smile, the tension in the air dissipating ever so slightly, his Scottish brogue tinted with a bit of mischief. “Well, they say I’ve got the devil’s own luck. Rescued from captivity and now I’ve got the Ghost as my personal nurse. Cannae say I’m complaining.”
Ghost grunted in response, though it was tinged with a hint of humor, “Just don’t expect me to give you any sponge baths, MacTavish.”
Soap’s laughter was a raspy, welcome sound in the room, a brief respite from the shadows that loomed over them. “Fair enough,” he replied with a grin. “So, did you miss me? Or did you enjoy all the peace and quiet?”
More than you’ll ever know, Ghost thought to himself.
Ghost crossed his arms over his chest, feigning cold detachment. “The silence was refreshing,” he replied sternly. “But… I am glad to have you back with us.”
With me.
Soap chuckled, “Ah, that’s what I like to hear. Cannae have you going too soft without me around.”
Their banter, lighthearted though it was, carried an unspoken understanding. They both knew that beneath the humor lay the weight of uncertainty of both what had transpired and what lay ahead. Soap could feel it too, the nagging sense of unease in the face of the unknown, like he was missing something important. Important and dangerous.
Outside, thunder rumbled in the distance as they both fell back into silence, and the rain began to pelt the windowpane harder as the brunt of the storm drew near.
Ghost’s hands clenched involuntarily as he watched Soap’s shallow breathing. Soap’s gaze was on the window, seemingly lost in thought as he stared out into the rain. Ghost wished he knew what the Scot was thinking, wished he could help in some way. He had always been the stoic one, the enigma behind the mask, but watching Soap in this vulnerable state, his internal struggle finally reached a breaking point.
Unable to resist any longer, Ghost’s gloved hand found its way to Soap’s lying on the bed at his side. His fingers threaded through Soap’s, his touch tentative at first, as if testing the waters of uncharted territory. But as he felt Soap’s fingers curl weakly in response, all the tension and hesitation in him melted away.
It was a rare act of intimacy amidst the uncertainty, a silent acknowledgment of their unspoken bond. Ghost needed the reassurance just as much as he imagined Soap did, and their intertwined hands spoke volumes where words could never come close.
Time seemed to stretch in the silence that followed, minutes passing with an almost unbearable weight. And with Soap’s hand in Ghost’s, at last after searching for him for so long, Ghost almost let the peacefulness of the moment lull him into a sense of alleviated ease.
Suddenly, the intercom speaker above Soap’s bed crackled to life. Then, as the static cleared, a haunting, and yet familiar melody began to emanate from it, filling the room with its eerie cadence.
Ghost’s gloved fingers twitched in surprise, and he tried to pull his hand away from Soap’s, instinctively trying to reach for his weapon. But before he could react, Soap’s grip on his hand tightened like a vise, fingers digging into Ghost’s flesh.
Panic surged through Ghost as he felt the crushing force of Soap’s hold on him. Again he tried to pull away, but Soap held fast.
As Ghost met Soap’s gaze, eyes locking with one another, the unsettling intensity of the Sergeant’s expression sent a chill down his spine.
Gone was the look of quiet contemplation or any semblance of a smile that had graced his face earlier. Instead, Soap bore the visage of ruthless determination, a dangerous glint in his eyes that had a cold fear unlike anything Ghost had ever felt before creeping over him.
“Johnny, what-”
Soap lunged forward, his body moving with unexpected speed and ferocity. Ghost barely had time to register the threat before he was forced onto his back, the chair collapsing underneath the weight of both of them, and the wind knocked out of Ghost as Soap’s hands closed around his throat.

The New High Guard
☁️ Iacon's Finest
An elite team of aerial bots tasked with the protection of Iacon and its citizens
Before we begin: this is a tragedy. It is war, and nobody wins. There will be no happy ending. Do not expect one.
Members
☁️ Comet
☁️ Boltcrusher [Crasher]
☁️ Trickshot and Tripwire
☁️ Freefall
☁️ Skyline
☁️ Whiplash [to be added]
Description
The New High Guard (NHG) was established by Sentinel Prime shortly after the demise of the original Primes and the ‘mysterious disappearance’ of the original High Guard. Seeing as the citizens of Iacon were used to having a High Guard and, especially after losing the Primes, there was unease all over the city, Sentinel rebuilt the Guard in his own way. With no more outside threats since the departure of the Quintessons though, the New High Guard’s primary function is to simply exist and make the people feel safe. Unlike the original High Guard (which, at the time of TFOne taking place appeared to have about 73 members), the New High Guard is a much smaller team of only about a dozen bots.
Though they rank almost directly below Sentinel himself (with the exception of Airachnid, who tends to be the one to convey the Prime’s orders rather than Sentinel himself), their position is, for the most part, a sham. They don’t really do a lot. They certainly have no idea what Sentinel is truly up to. Though it is the New High Guard’s responsibility to protect the city while Sentinel is on one of his many excursions to the surface, with no threats to protect it from, they are at best a sort of glorified local police or rescue team.
A lot of the New High Guard’s time is spent training. Active threats or not, they are a military force, and they are as competent as any squad that’s never experienced any real action could be. They are made up of Iacon’s most skilled and qualified fliers, each with their own unique skill set, and each following the original High Guard’s code of honor. In theory, they are an unstoppable force, however the most any of them have ever seen in terms of combat were street brawls.
The public especially loves their air shows. With the free time provided by a safe city, the New High Guard is known for their death-defying flight maneuvers and breathtaking performances. In human terms, imagine a choreographed stunt flight show, only more intense, as you can be a lot more creative if you’re the plane itself instead of a pilot. They often perform at public events as a prelude to Sentinel taking the stage. He loves it – it makes him look even better.

My brain really is always trying to connect Marvel to my other fandoms. But when you bring Gods, magic and the multiverse then anything becomes possible.
Fandoms: The Sentinel, Due South, Young Justice, Torchwood, Nimona, Warehouse 13, Lucifer, Stranger Things, 911 Lone Star, Hawaii 50, 911, Eureka
• Sentinel: Clint is sentinel whose strength is sight. But his abusive father still cost him a good chunk of hearing. Other events have left Clint completely deaf in one ear and partially in the other. In a world where ableism exists this makes it hard to find a guide. Until he meets Coulson/Natasha/Bobbi/Bucky/Darcy/Laura.
• Due South: Teenage Clint has been betrayed by Barney and Trickshot. The circus happened to be in Chicago at the time. Clint ends up homeless after being released/sneaking out from the hospital. He meets Diefenbaker on one of his adventures. This leads to Ray and Benton fostering Clint. Hawkeye still becomes an Avenger but he was SHIELDS best track in both urban and wilderness settings.
• DC: Young Justice Connor Kent tries to protect his team from an angry magic user. Instead of dying he is transported to the Barton farm a week before the snap. How would Clint's arc change if he had a superpowered teenager following him like a duckling.
• Torchwood: During Captain Jack's absence the rift gets odd again. Ianto and Toshiko get pulled in and spit back out in the sanctum sanctorum. Wong and Ianto bond over properly brewed hot drinks. Toshiko makes friends with a hacker online by the name of Skye.
• Nimona: What if Nimona brought a guest back with them in the form of a shape shifting Asgardian Loki. The God flirts heavily with Ballister to the annoyance of Ambrosius.
• Warehouse 13: Somehow Steve's shield becomes an artifact. Steve, Bucky and Sam take a trip to the warehouse in hopes of fixing it.
• Warehouse 13: During a new experiment to bring back her daughter HG Wells is sent to Tony Stark's lab while the man was explaining something to Peter Parker. To Clint's amusement HG flirts heavily with Natasha.
• Lucifer: Clint follows a suspect into Lux and stops her from taking a shot at Lucifer. When the cops arrive Clint has the awkward moment of seeing his ex-boyfriend, Detective Dan Espinoza.
• Stranger Things: Instead of exiting the upside down they end up in the sanctum. Much to Dr Stranger's annoyance but he does assist in helping them get back eventually. It takes effort because once the kids discover they are in a comic universe they want to explore.
• 911 Lone Star: When Steve was on his bike tour he met a Texas Ranger who he struck up a friendship with. Bucky, Steve and Sam were in town for the wedding incognito as "work friends". Because of this the gun shot wasn't fatal. Carlos doesn't know how to react to his Dad being friends with Avengers. And ones that weren't straight. I love a Jewish Bucky so he bonds with TK on several levels.
• Hawaii 50: Clint is taking a forced vacation in Hawaii. As luck would have it he's in a museum that Charlie's school was visiting when it was taken hostage. The bad guys are specifically looking for Charlie as revenge for something related to his stepdad. Clint stops them before the task force arrives. He quickly becomes family.
• 911: Bucky and Clint are trying a normal date at the Santa Monica Pier. They befriend a kid and the guy they assume is his stepdad. Then the Tsunami hits. Because of the extra trained adults Chris doesn't get lost. The school gets in hot water for calling Chris a liar for saying an Avenger saved him. The lawsuit goes down very differently, either because they get him a better lawyer who works with the union or offer Buck a job with Avengers HQ in New York.
• Eureka: Clint drops in on an old friend, Sheriff Jack Carter. Given all the shenanigans he's used to the town barely phases Clint. However Nathan Stark is not happy to have a member of his cousin's boyband hanging around Jack. His headache increases when several assassins, Bucky and Natasha, arrive to bug Clint.

Birth: April 28, 2025
Nationality: American
Affiliations: US Navy (formerly), SEAL Team Zulu (formerly), Atlas Corporation (formerly), Sentinel Task Force
Height: 5'9
Gender: Female
Status: Alive/W.I.A
Build: Athletic
Marks: US Navy SEAL Insignia tattoo on left forearm
Background:
Born in Southern California, Camille Brooks loved the ocean, always looking forward to vacations to the beach. She became interested in the military at a very young age, and was often playing "soldiers" with the neighborhood boys. She fit in, and as she grew older and excelled at school, she graduated top of her class with a diploma. But college wasn't what she wanted, so she signed up for the US Navy as a seaman. Alongside her were her childhood best friends, and they rose together through the ranks and impressed the officers and higher ranked NCOs. At the end of basic training, they went their separate ways, and at the end of Advanced Individual Training, Brooks only had her best friend and boyfriend, Lukas West, by her side.
Two years go by and a position is opened in a newly formed Navy SEAL unit, and Brooks managed to beat the other competitors and got the spot immediately. With the world recovering from the Second Cold War, a new war was boiling and instead of governments against each other, it was governments fighting together against terrorism.
In 2050, Brooks and her unit, SEAL Team Zulu, would arrive in Bolivia to infiltrate a city that is run by a terrorist group that is planning to overthrow the Bolivian Government and gain access to the newly acquired missiles the country was given. While the mission was successful, Brooks was the only remaining soldier, and over 10,000 Navy soldiers died, including her fiancee, Lukas.
Upon arriving back to the US, Brooks was visited by CEO of Atlas Corporation, Jonathan Irons, who gave his condolences and offered her a position at Atlas. Brooks, having been honorably discharged due to injuries to the head that can affect her focus and succession in the military, and having nothing left, agrees and joins Atlas.
She would be taken to Camp David, an Atlas basic training facility in Virginia, shortly after attending all the funerals of her comrades and Lukas. She impressed everyone with her marksmanship skills and high intellect, and was given an opportunity to go to college by Irons. She accepted and got a doctorate degree in psychology, finishing top of her class once again and managing to get done with college in five years, all while continuing to fight as an elite soldier for Atlas.
Brooks is in charge of Gideon and his new squad of soldiers containing a new member, Jack Mitchell. They would go on missions in hope of bringing the world back from the brink of collapse, only to discover after the death of terrorist Hades, that Irons is planning world domination.
Brooks defects from Atlas with the others and vows to get revenge for every fallen soldiers that repelled against Atlas.

let me tell you all about this world actually bc i love this little au. it's a superhero au me and my friend came up with a long while ago, when we'd pass our days just messaging each other and inventing 25 aus per day:
namjoon is a sentinel type, and the leader of the little superhero crime-fighting team. he's smart and talented beyond his years and constantly on the verge of an existential crisis/burn-out.
yoongi has mind powers and all that entails, including telekinesis if he really pushes it. he uses this power to keep tabs on the group during missions and acts as a short of tether/grounding force/guide to namjoon, who needs someone to shut his brain off. (this sometimes can just mean an elevated sort of meditation where yoongi projects mindscapes into namjoon's mind for him to relax in, and sometimes they hold hands as they do it even if they don't need to bc the rituals are intricate)
hobi's power is controlling soundwaves. he's unassuming but extremely competent and scary when in action, and he babies everyone regardless of age.
jungkook is the superboy of everyone's dreams. think superman in build and powers and puppy in terms of personality. wide eyed, super eager, always excited, the most Boy. long hair that waves prettily when he flies. he constantly volunteers for patrol bc it gets him out of the boring admin tasks of superhero-ism and he gets to fly around, singing under his breath the whole time. everyone's in love with him, but he's in love with jimin.
jimin's powers are also air related--he can defy gravity. not flying the same way jungkook does, but making himself lighter and heavier at will, and being able to propel himself forward (or upward) in some semblance of superspeed. floaty boy, zoomy boy.
taehyung is the earth to balance out jikook's sky, a beautiful boy with plant powers, a little weird with an unapproachable exterior and the softest gooey-est heart
jin the only one without powers, but with money. his family is very rich (and probably secretly evil) and they use their funding to publicly support this superhero team for PR, basically. he's rich, full of good tech, gorgeous, good for business. on the outside he's like (to quote the cursed scrolls) genius billionaire playboy philanthropist, and on the inside he's like 'i am utterly replaceable'. but obviously he's not. he's not🥲
anyway i could talk about this forever. about all the hurt/comfort possibilities, the found family, the avengers chilling in the avengers tower chaotic energy tumblr used to thrive on back in the day. I've only written the two drabbles so far that touch on like 2% of it all. fingers crossed some more makes it out of my brain eventually

loud and clear
namgi, superhero au
feelings realisation, oblivious nj, telepath yg
drabbles
Summary:
Namjoon's been thinking about love lately.

X-Men will continue with the 25th issue from writer Gerry Duggan and artist Stefano Caselli. As with other Hellfire Galas, the team will get shaken up. Kate Pryde, aka Kitty, Sprite, Ariel, Red Queen, and Captain Kate, will join the team under the name ShadowKat.

Iceman gets his own solo series as Earth’s protector from writer Steve Orlando and artist Vincenzo Carratù. Bobby Drake will get a new base of operations, new uses for his abilities, new enemies, and a new purpose, “but a dark side effect of his new mission could cause it all to shatter… After the events of this year’s can’t-miss Hellfire Gala, Bobby Drake, AKA Iceman, sets his sights on heroic deeds like never before. But as a new situation develops that links Iceman to his Antarctic ice palace, he’ll have to be slicker than ever to accomplish his mission before Orchis knows what hit them!” (Marvel Comics)
Astonishing Iceman #1, featuring a cover by Jesús Saiz, goes on sale on August 2, 2023.
Wolverine and Ghost Rider are on a collision course in the four-part epic from writer Benjamin Percy and artist Geoff Shaw’s Ghost Rider / Wolverine: Weapons of Vengeance. “A demonic serial killer is murdering innocent mutants. But what is it about this deadly new villain that forces our two heroes to team up? And what buried secret does he share with Wolverine and Ghost Rider’s never-before-seen very first meeting in the past?” (Marvel Comics)

Their hearts are in the right place but under the unpredictable leadership of the Goblin Queen and operating out of New York’s new Limbo Embassy, will this team’s dark ways turn the tide for mutantkind or make things far worse?” (Marvel Comics)
Dark X-Men #1, featuring a cover by Stephen Segovia, goes on sale on August 16, 2023.
X-Force continues from writer Benjamin Percy and penciler Robert Gill. The team will have a new leader - Colossus - who will lead them to a place that Marvel Comics assures us readers will never expect.
X-Force #43, featuring a cover by Daniel Acuña, goes on sale on August 23, 2023.
The Invincible Iron Man, from writer Gerry Duggan and artist Juan Frigeri, will see Tony Stark playing a key role in the Fall of X. With Feilong in control of Stark Unlimited and using it to build Stark Sentinels, Tony proposes an alliance with Emma Frost.
The Invincible Iron Man #9, featuring a cover by Kael Ngu, goes on sale on August 23, 2023.
The Fall of X will also send ripples through the Ten Realms. Realm of X, from writer Torunn Grønbekk and artist Diógenes Neves will find a group of mutants stranded in Vanaheim. “And what's even more confusing, the locals seem to believe that they hold the key to fulfilling a prophecy that can either raise the realm to riches—or cause it to fall to ruin. With Magik's powers malfunctioning and a mysterious figure amassing power on the outskirts of the realm, these X-Men are going to going to have to band together if they want to stay alive long enough to find their way home!” (Marvel Comics) If Magik, Dani Moonstar, Marrow, Dust, Curse, and Typhoid Mary can overcome their differences they may just rise as the legendary heroes of the Tem Realms. Or their presences could just escalate the conflict and warps all of mutantkind’s destiny forever. No pressure.
Realm of X #1, featuring a cover by Stephanie Hans, goes on sale on August 23, 2023.

Superhero History 101
Are you interested in the history of superheroes but don’t know where to begin? Do you have a history test coming up that you didn’t study for? Or are you just trying to understand what the hell your kids are on about? Well, worry not, dear reader! Here at Cape-Watch, we’ve managed to break down the long and complex timeline of events surrounding our beloved crimefighters into digestible bites! All of the most major events of the past century concerning our spandex sentinels are listed for your viewing pleasure below!:
1938: The Immortal, widely considered to be the world’s first superhero, makes his debut by stopping a bank robbery in New York’s Financial District.
1939: Other similar stories begin to emerge, both in the US and abroad. A major gunrunning ring in Chicago is taken down by the Amazonian heroine War Woman, while criminals in the Jamaican capital of Kingston learn to fear the songbird vigilante known as Soprano.
1942: By special decree from General Eisenhower, and with the support of Soviet high command, the Directorate of Superhuman Activities was established. Its principle unit was Task Force Jupiter, more commonly known as the Defenders of The Free World, the world’s first superhero team. While the above crimefighters formed part of the lineup, the Second World War also spawned new heroes, such as the Soviet speedster Red Rush and the American super soldier Frontline, who also joined the team.
1944: The first proper persons to be considered ‘supervillains’ make their appearance, many of them high-ranking officers in the Wehrmacht or Luftwaffe. Many of these ‘villains’ were later found guilty of war crimes in the Nuremburg Trials, and subsequently imprisoned or hanged.
1945: the 15th of May is marked as National Superhero Day, observed one week after the end of WW2, in commemoration of Task Force Jupiter’s capture of the infamous Kriegsburg, and their subsequent capture of the Nazi supervillain Wotan.
1946: The Browne Act is passed by a landslide majority in both the US Senate and The House Of Representatives, effectively making all superheroes government employees. Similar laws are passed in other nations, mainly the USSR, United Kingdom, France, etc.
1947: The first iteration of the Guardians Of The Globe is formed, led by The Immortal. Many of the former Defenders members also sign up, and this team becomes the first response to major catastrophic events.
1959: The Vanderbilt-McKean Act is passed, allowing superhero teams to be primarily funded by corporate entities as opposed to state sources, provided that sufficient government oversight is maintained. Three months later, the flagship company behind these teams, Capes Incorporated, is unveiled at an international business conference in Washington, DC. Today, over 150 countries have at least one corporate team funded by Capes Incorporated.
1968: An intervention by members of Capes Incorporated’s South Vietnam branch in the Battle of Hue City leads to the unfortunate deaths of both US servicemen and civilians alike. In response, the United Nations adds an extension to Article 41 of its charter, prohibiting the use of superpowered beings in military conflicts.
1981: The infamous San Lorenzo mission takes place, a botched raid on the supervillain collective known as The Order. A mix of faulty information and inadequate preparation leads to the deaths of Red Rush and Miniscule Man, and also leads longtime member Frontline to leave the team the next day. The same year, Frontline forms his own team, Breakthrough, alongside the European heroes Monsieur Mouche and Miss Vermillion.
1987: After a six year long stint as the leader of Breakthrough, Frontline announces he is departing the team to lead a group of teenage superheroes, later christened on Halloween Night as the first line-up of the Teen Team, made up of young crimefighters such as the second Red Rush, Green Ghost and Black Samson. Later additions include heroes such as Kid Crustacean, Pangaea and Shrapnel.
1994: A public announcement reveals that Frontline vanished while on a solo mission in an undisclosed part of Central Asia, and is to this day still missing, presumed dead. In his absence, War Woman is elected to lead the Teen Team until the remaining members reach adulthood.
2000: The alien superhero later known as Omni-Man arrives on Earth, quickly cementing himself as one of the strongest superheroes in recent history. Despite many offers, he prefers to work alone rather than as part of a team.
2001: The largest line-up of the Guardians Of The Globe is formed, including both original Guardians, former Teen Team members and newer heroes such as the Midnight City detective Darkwing, the Atlantean king Aquarus and the extra-terrestrial hero Martian Man.
2007: The second iteration of the Teen Team is unveiled, featuring members such as Blackout, the second Kid Crustacean, Demigod and Bug-Eye, and was led by the veteran hero known only as ‘Brit’.
2012: The superhero team known as Fight Force is formed, which quickly builds a reputation for high levels of spectacle and even higher levels of damage to public property, making them quite the controversial group.
2017: The third line-up of the Teen Team is established, this time headed by the mechanical superhero Robot, with the main roster comprised of Atom Eve, Rex Splode and Dupli-Kate.
2021: The entirety of The Guardians Of The Globe are found murdered inside of their headquarters while Omni-Man is discovered to be in critical condition. Initially suspected as an attack by The Order, the killer is later revealed to be Omni-Man, whose injuries resulted from the struggle. After again killing an apparently resurrected Immortal, he then fought the younger hero Invincible, which resulted in a trail of death and destruction that left tens of thousands dead. Omni-Man then fled from Earth for unknown reasons, leaving Invincible in critical condition. Later that year, a mission by the current line-up of the Guardians (with the addition of Immortal) discovers the supervillain team The Lizard League murdered within the confines of a nuclear research facility.
And that’s it! While you may not find this list to be the most informative list, we hope that the broad strokes included here might encourage you to seek out other sources for more information. Until next time!
(Disclaimer: the information depicted in this article is valid as of the date of publishing (12/29/21), as are the sources of information used in this article. Any further events will not be included, but may be found elsewhere)
