Fellow Disnerds, please help me! Does anyone know where one could hypothetically download the live musical specials made for ABC about The Little Mermaid in 2019 and (much more importantly) Beauty and the Beast in 2022? Asking for a friend, of course. A friend who's been searching and searching for a long time without finding anything.

The Current event makes me smile since it kind of confirms a headcanon I had that the Great Seven have animated movies based on them. Makes me wonder about the plot of the movies
Disney should get on the Twisted Wonderland AU Animated Remakes. What is Ursula was a good witch, what if Scar was right to take the throne and did he take it from Mufasa? (Or whoever is the stand in for him)
The Evil/Beautiful Queen...actually GOOD?
Tumblr media
Yeah, it makes sense! Since the Great Seven are historical figures and the stuff of legends, surely there would be popular media made in their image. It’s like how the Disney fairy tales borrow from stories in the public domain or how there are historical retellings and reinventions (Hamilton, anyone?).
I believe TWST has mentioned films based on their own stories and history before too, but purely in the animated sense rather than live action. In book 3, Ace and one of the Atlantica Museum guards talk about an animated movie based on the tale of the mermaid princess and her prince; this movie is said to have come out ~30 years ago, which corresponds with Disney’s animated The Little Mermaid. Ace compliments the movie’s soundtrack too way to stroke your own ego, Disney/j.
Later on in Tapis Rouge, the characters discuss other films based on the Great Seven, including one Queen of Hearts movie. A Sea Witch movie is also mentioned; in it, she “goes gigantic” and also sings as she brews potions. The Octatrio quite enjoy this particular film.
(Side note: Another anon once suggested to me that people probably also write fanfics of Neige and Vil since they’re celebrities… Think like “My mom sold me to One Direction?!” Wattpad kinds of fics, but replace One Direction with Vil or something. You can read those post here!)
It’s… interesting this event specifically has Vil promoting a live action adaption of an in-universe animated film about the Beautiful Queen—an animated film which was the first full-color animated movie AND it originally released close to 90 years ago. They also reference the funding issues that Disney suffered while producing Snow White + inviting bank employees in to preview the movie to acquire more investments, stating that the studio that made the animated Beautiful Queen experienced the same. The in-game live action is even slated to come out “NEXT YEAR”. They’re not being subtle here with TWST’s references to their own version of the irl Disney Snow White (the live action is coming out in 2025, the OG is also almost 90 years old, etc.). I wonder if the EN server will actually get Tapis Rouge around the time of the irl release of Disney’s live action Snow White as part of a promotional campaign? 😂
UPDATE: There are even more not-so-subtle references to Disney animations in part 4 of the event, including discussion of cel animation, rotoscoping, adding blush to the characters, and how Disney brought in real animals/observed the “real thing” to help with animating similar scenes or subjects. They also cheekily say that most animation nowadays is CG 💀
I know some books under Disney publishing try to show alternate tellings or show the villains in a more sympathetic light, but I don’t know that they would ever commit to fully animating a film like that. It definitely would not happen in the style of traditional animation, Disney no longer seems well-equipped to handle that task 😔 I feel like it would also be pretty niche or might not get overwhelming positive reception with recent audience calls for “true bad guys” instead of twist or sympathetic villains (though I’m not sure what percentage of people watching Disney actually have this opinion).
I do wonder how those “AU” films would work though…? It wouldn’t be as simple as suddenly turning the G7 into “good guys”. The scenario and other characters would also have to drastically change. TWST doesn’t necessarily make the original “good guys” “bad” in a world where the villains are historical figures; we still hear plenty of positive or neutral stories about the achievements of the mermaid princess and other Disney heroes.
There are also times when the same story diverges into multiple separate stories that seemingly have no connection to one another. For example, there is a story where a princess marries a street rat (clearly referencing Aladdin) and they live happily ever after in spite of the difference in their social statuses. However, there simultaneously exists a story in which the Sorcerer of the Sands saves a princess from being deceived by a fake prince (also referencing Aladdin). The same goes for the mermaid princess (Ariel)—there is both a story referring to a “mermaid princess” who married a human prince and also a different story (clearly still pulled from the same film) about a mermaid who made a deal with the Sea Witch to find true love but broke her contract in the end.
Very cool idea, just not sure where it would lead or it it’s feasible or worth it monetarily for Disney.

Hi, I was wondering if you could do Zoro, Ace, Sabo, Luffy, Crocodile, Mihawk, Buggy (Cross guild), Whitebeard, Izou, and Charlotte Katakuri x Reader where They are in a Disney/ Fairy tale Story? (I've been watching Disney lately, and it's living in my Brain-Free.) Also a bonus: They break out in a song number.~
Hi Hi! I think this was the most complicated request I've ever received and to be honest, all my drafts didn't get anywhere that was interesting to read. So, in order not to be left without an answer, but also not to deliver something terrible, I decided to change the format a little (and I really hope you don't hate me for it)
--
Even though her father (grandfather in this version) is against all this, our little mermaid wants to find the surface world (again, pirate world) and see all the wonders that await him. You'll make different friends along the way and, above all, collect incredible things like a certain hat along the way.
Luffy
Our Beauty and the Beast story is a little more troubled here. Instead of a beast cursed by the witch, we just have an evil-looking and somewhat threatening man who still hasn't found a reason to let anyone get close to him. When the right person arrives, he will definitely become someone lovable - even if it involves some fights, wars and everything that can prevent anyone from interfering in the lives of the two of you.
Crocodile, Katakuri
Living the best life, without growing up, without responsibilities, just him and his people living happily in Neverland and disturbing the life of the pirate who passes by. Despite trying to bring our beloved Peter Pan to the real world, you would ultimately understand that Neverland is the place made for him to be free.
Buggy
I know, I know it's not exactly a fairy tale. But, our beloved Puss in Boots would be just as stubborn, adventurous and showy as this one. His sword would be the sharpest and most agile of all the kingdoms, apart from all the flame that only he has.
Mihawk
Bonus point: in a universe where Cross Guid is made up of enemies and we are in fairy tales/animations, Crocodile would be the wolf in the second film.
This one would be Sleeping Beauty, I don't think we even need to explain why. However, this sleeping beauty here chose to sleep for days straight after being in battle and when you tried to wake him up in a kind way - aka, the kiss of love - he hated it, after all, he was in the best part of sleep.
Zoro (and I'd include Buggy here too, I can see him grumbling about it).
The world was just a small view of the tower his mother trapped him in and of course, his mother knows better. Until he found himself being saved by someone fearless, brave (a bit of a scoundrel) who took him from his cruel mother's clutches and took him to explore the world - and that includes the nearest bakery.
Charlotte Katakuri, Sabo (I mean, his parents were pretty shitty)
He would definitely be Mufasa and he would make us suffer terribly with his loss, but he would have been a great father. (and you can't tell me that Ace wouldn't be the son with the chaotic and adventurous spirit also known as Simba)
Whitebeard
Bonus:
He would have to put up with you singing Let It Go in any situation, but he probably wouldn't get angry about it. Except when you were in a more intimate moment and you said that the cold wouldn't bother you anyway (and of course, he would create little ice drawings for you in the winter)
Aokiji
We also have Snow White: dreamy, kind, fearless too. Instead of seven dwarves, he has loyal companions. Some are more serious and angry, but ready to help our Snow White here and other cute and funny eaters.
Shanks (and yes Benn Beckman is our angry one in this one) ---
a/n: ok, I had more fun writing this than I thought I would

(Mc getting ready to start another day in twisted wonderland)
Female reader.
Tumblr media
Riddle Rosehearts
It took a lot of convincing to get him to ditch his studies just to watch a movie with you, but you got him when you mentioned that the Queen of Hearts would be in it. So here you are, cuddling under a blanket in his room as you played the movie.
However, throughout the whole movie, you were commenting on how he acted exactly like the Queen of Hearts. Wasn’t that obvious already? Then you said that you were exactly like Alice because you found yourself in a strange world. And that’s how you got your nickname, my Alice.
Also, he can see why Trey, Ace, Deuce, and Cater could be seen as the card knights, as they are serving under Riddle’s rule. The whole dynamic with you being Alice fits well because you didn’t know any of the rules but Riddle kept accusing you of breaking them unfairly. He does apologize after, because this movie has made him see the error of his ways.
Tumblr media
Leona Kingscholar
It did not take a lot of convincing when you said that you would be willing to cuddle him as long as he watched a movie with you. So, you grabbed some snacks and you got situated on Leona’s bed and you started playing the Lion King.
This man let a tear fall when Mufasa died, because it reminded him of his older brother, but he did like Scar’s line of Long Live the King. However, this soft moment with Leona was interrupted by you blowing into a tissue and telling him to never make his nephew leave or else you would leave him.
But, he will admit that Ruggie did remind him of the hyenas in the movie. He laughed all the freaking time, he was willing to be at his beck and call, Leona legit would not be able to tell the difference. Plus, he was a hyena. However, it left him wondering about Jack. Where would he fit into this complicated equation?
Tumblr media
Azul Ashengrotto
He had to be pulled away from work, so you said why not watch the Little Mermaid? So, you both went to his room and watched the movie there. If he was being honest, this was a great way for him to wind down. You were leaning onto his shoulder as you watched, and the moment was peaceful.
That was, until the Poor Unfortunate Souls scene came on. You turned down the volume and faced him, and told him that Ursula was beautiful and confident as she was, and you wanted to follow the wise words of SZA and get a big boy. Poor boy didn’t understand what you were saying, but he was happy to know that you loved him no matter what he looked like.
Flotsam and Jetsam definitely reminded him of Floyd and Jade. However, they were a tad creepier than the tweels, which was saying a lot. Ursula became his new idol, as she was almost powerful enough to overthrow King Triton. Unfortunately, she was defeated before that could happen.
Tumblr media
Kalim Al-Asim
He was down to watch a movie right when you asked, however it was Jamil who you really needed to convince. So, you decided to just play it in the Lounge. You and Kalim were laying down in each other’s arms, while Jamil was playing as the third wheel.
When the Sultan and Jafar were introduced, you pointed to the screen and shouted that they were them. Your sudden exclamation surprised both of them, but Kalim could see the resemblance. Somehow, the same could not be said about the Vice Housewarden (he did see the correlation, but he did not want to acknowledge it).
Your boyfriend here absolutely loved the movie, and thought that the love story was quite adorable. A really flustering thought popped into his head when Jasmine and Aladdin got engaged because he would love to marry you one day. But, that day is far ahead.
Tumblr media
Vil Schoenheit
Surprisingly, he was for the idea of finally unwinding from his stress as both a student, a Housewarden, and a movie star. So, he took off his makeup and you both were having a spa day as you put on Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.
But, he regretted saying yes when you pointed at the Evil Queen’s old hag form and asked him if he could transform into that. This man was hit with horrible PTSD, but I will not say anything more so I don’t spoil it too horribly. It keeps him lying awake at night, which is definitely not good for his beauty sleep.
Rook acts like the opposite of the hunter, and Vil refuses to think that Neige is like Snow White. In his story, his rival is the bad guy, and he won’t think about it any other way. However, he knows that he himself is not Snow White, but rather the Evil Queen. You don’t make it seem like that, though.
Tumblr media
Idia Shroud
You both went on the Twisted Wonderland equivalent of Discord and agreed to watch a movie that you had somehow procured from your world. He was intrigued, so it was a virtual date. The movie started off great, and you both were sending DM’s that commented about it.
However, when Hades came into the scene, you messaged him and said you should be confident and funny like him. That sent his thoughts spiraling, and he was wondering if he had to change himself so that you would like him more. You caught onto this, though, and stated that you wouldn’t mind being his Persephone.
Hades made him laugh and snicker a few times, but he really did not like how he treated Pain and Panic. Most of all, he didn’t like how he treated Meg. Actually, she reminded him of you because you were often very sarcastic and sassy but also gorgeous. When he looked at you, he got the same feelings that Hercules had.
Tumblr media
Malleus Draconia
You inviting him to something was definitely the highlight of his day, but he wasn’t familiar with movies. So, you agreed that you would meet up at night at your dorm so that you both could have some privacy. You propped up a school-supplied laptop onto the foot of the bed as you and Malleus sat against the headboard, and you played Sleeping Beauty.
When the curse that Maleficent placed on Aurora went into effect, you whispered to the dragon fae beside you and asked if he could place a sleeping curse on you because you don’t want to be awake to suffer through everyone’s bullshit. To be honest, he has thought about it because he hates how you’re constantly surrounded by multiple different men. Plus, the thought of being your true love and being the one to kiss you awake was very enticing.
The night ended with you both falling asleep within your bed, and Grim had to sleep on the couch. However, Malleus did wake up early so that he could get back to Diasomnia in time to not cause Sebek or Silver to panic. He had to deal with the painful feeling in his chest as he left you alone in your bed, but he placed a kiss on your forehead before departing.

Rafayel's
"The Little Mermaid"
Content: The original tale by Hans Christian Andersen, modified to have Rafayel as the protagonist. Other characters have also been genderbent. I've tried to keep the story as close to the original as possible, while also incorporating some new elements as well as modifying others to fit Rafayel.
Warning: This is not like Disney's version of the story. The original fairytale is less sweet, and doesn't have a happy ending. Expect angst.
Word count: 6.1k (+ Author's Note and Bonus at the end)
Tagging the people who commented on my initial post about this fic: @fancyhawk45 @anxiousgoddest @exactlycleverpirate @solinmoirav @his-ocean-emissary @aneverydaysimp Thank you for waiting <3
Tumblr media
“Oh, it’s wonderful,” Rafayel’s brother muses, “humans are so lively and interesting… It’s just like our brother said last year. No, even better! Rafayel, you’re gonna love it once it’s your turn.”
Rafayel listens to his brother’s tale starry eyed. He just returned from the surface, like their brothers before him on their coming-of-age birthday. Next year, it will be his turn.
Unfair, he thinks, that he’s the youngest, yet the one most interested in humans. Every year for the past 5 years, his brothers have had the pleasure of seeing the human world for themselves, while he has to wait and be content with the stories they tell once they come back.
He has tried to protest to his parents, the Sea King and Queen, as well as his grandmother, but they’ve just told him to be patient. His mother, at least, gave him something to help him pass the time: A statue of a human girl that she found once while swimming near the coast.
He cherishes it dearly, visiting it every day and asking it questions, imagining what the responses would be like.
“Do you like painting too?” he asks, showing it the drawing he just finished.
A pause.
“Yeah, I painted it myself. You must use different things to create the pigments, you don’t have algae up there, do you?”
He looks around the Royal garden the statue has been placed in.
“No, you have…” he tries recalling the stories, “Flowers! That’s the word. They’re supposed to be as colorful as nudibranchs and shaped sorta like anemones, right?”
The statue remains silent.
“Oh, how I wish you could speak, so I could ask you a million questions…”
Rafayel spends his days talking to the statue, painting how he thinks the surface world looks, daydreaming about seeing it all for himself. With each passing day, the fondness he feels grows. It doesn’t help that his brothers like to tease him about how he’s the only one that hasn’t been above water yet.
Luckily, the year seems to fly by. Well, except for the week before his birthday, in which he can’t sleep nor eat. He swims nervously from place to place, barely able to contain his excitement.
“It’s today, it’s today, it’s today!” He chants, waking up his whole family.
They can’t help but feel happy too, he’s been waiting for this day a long time and it’s hard to be angry at him for waking them up so early.
He can’t claim victory yet, though, because the coming-of-age ceremony can’t be skipped, and he won’t be able to see the surface until nighttime.
To him, the day seems to stretch infinitely, his goal becoming more unreachable with each passing moment. He opens his presents in a rush, not even stopping to see what they are once they’re out of the wrapper. He says his sea vows as fast as the words can form in his mouth. He visits the rest of the sea creatures with a speed that would rival a sailfish. He lets his grandmother adorn his hair with a wreath made of pearls. But alas, his family won’t let him go that easily. He must spend the day with them, even if the rest of the tasks have been completed.
There’s a stillness as the sun goes down and its rays stop reaching the waters.
Rafayel turns to his family expectantly, his heart fluttering.
His grandmother nods with a smile.
He’s gone from view in an instant, only bubbles left in his wake.
He notices the water change as he goes up, the temperature, the saltiness, the pressure. There’s so much to process that he wants to scream with joy. And then- He stops.
The surface.
He can see the barrier. Where water ends and air starts. Suddenly, he finds himself feeling anxious, even scared. What if it’s not like he imagined?
Slowly, he lifts an arm and grazes the edge. His fingers retract at the odd sensation. He tries again.
He waves his hand, now strangely… Dry. That’s a first.
Taking a leap of faith, he lunges his head out. The water splashes around him and his hair sticks to his forehead. Weird.
But he’s too enthralled by what he’s seeing to be preoccupied with that. The night sky. The moon. The stars. The lack of sound. He always thought the surface was a very noisy place. Sure, his ears ring a bit, but it fades away as he gets used to the environment.
He snaps out of it, looking around. If what his brothers told him was correct, he needs to swim eastward for an hour to reach land and see the humans. He doesn’t waste a second, his tail forming waves as he swims near the surface.
Half an hour later, he sees something that completely derails his plans.
A ship. Not only a ship, but one from which fireworks are being set off.
At first he has to dive underwater and cover his ears, overwhelmed by the abundance of noise, but his desire to see the magnificent colors on display is bigger, and he peeks his head out once more.
“What are those?” He says to no one in particular, then grabs his throat. He didn’t expect to be able to speak so clearly.
His focus goes back to the ship, curious about the source of these strange lights.
Even if his family told him not to interact with the humans, they didn’t say anything about swimming close to them, so this is fine, right?
He nears the vessel, hearing cheery voices and what sounds like music.
Using his upper body strength, honed by his constant swimming, he grabs one of the dangling ropes and pulls himself up until he can just barely see the deck.
He almost slips and lets go as he takes in the view. So many humans, dancing and laughing, right before his eyes. White-knuckling the rope, he tries to understand what’s happening.
Ah, they must be having a party. …what’s the reason for celebration?
“Princess, did your birthday party really have to be at sea? You know I get terribly nauseous!” Two women walk near the railing where Rafayel is perched.
A birthday? For a Princess? What a coincidence! He’s also a Prince celebrating his birthday! He looks up at the women.
“I know, but I wanted to make it special somehow, since I’m officially an adult!” She laughs.
The rope slips from his grasp and he falls into the water with a splash, covered by the sound of the fireworks.
What was that? That… Feeling. Why are his cheeks red? That girl…
He pops out of the water, searching for her face again.
“Come on, let’s dance, you’ll forget you’re out in the sea in no time!” She grabs the other woman’s arm and leads her to the center of the deck with the rest of the humans.
Thoughts form in his head about him dancing with her. If he had legs… No, that’s a wild thought.
Wait, why is he having these thoughts in the first place?
He climbs the rope again. She’s twirling, and skipping, and clapping along with the guests. The music is coming from a band playing near the mast.
Rafayel watches and watches, not noticing the smile forming in his face, or the fact that the fireworks eventually stop, or the dark clouds rolling in.
It’s not until a lightning cracks and the wind picks up that he looks away from her and up to the skies. The humans get startled too, the music and cheer stopping.
Orders are immediately shouted to pack everything and sail back to land. Rafayel is a bit disappointed that the fun got cut short, but he jumps back in the water, intending to follow the ship back to the continent.
A wave pulls him under, and he realizes that the sea isn’t as calm as when he first emerged. The humans are lucky to have their vessel, they probably wouldn’t make it in these waters, he thinks, recalling one of his brothers telling him about a human that drowned during a storm. To him, however, this seems like a fun time.
As he resurfaces, the raindrops start hitting his face. So that’s what rain feels like. And the thing from before, that was lightning and thunder.
Sometimes, when the storm had been violent enough, he had heard the booms even while at the bottom of the sea. Of course, it was entirely different to experience it firsthand. Much scarier.
The ship starts moving, waves crashing on its sides. The wind tousles his hair back and forth, the flashes of light becoming more frequent. He hears the humans start to panic as the ship is rocked harshly. He instinctively looks for her.
She is shouting orders and trying to calm everyone while she helps the crew, her hands slipping as she pulls on ropes due to the rain that has already soaked her.
Why aren’t they protecting her? Isn’t she the Princess? Get her out of-
There’s no time to be protective. A huge wave, double the size of the hull, crashes into the ship. It tilts to the side and capsizes, all of its passengers falling into the relentless sea.
Rafayel dives, maneuvering through debris and drowning figures.
It might be selfish of him, considering he’s about to go against his family’s orders, but he has to save her. Rational thoughts are not in the picture in a situation like this.
“Come on, come on, where are you…”
Finally, he spots her. She’s sinking, unconscious.
He tackles her as he grabs her by the waist, pulling her up and away from the chaos.
“Don’t die on me now,” he scolds her.
He manages to bring her up to the surface, but the waves are too frequent and big to let her breathe.
His arms stay around her protectively, his grip so determined it might leave bruises, but he keeps swimming towards land without faltering, always trying to keep her as raised as possible, and by the time they reach the shore, the sun is showing its first rays.
He pants as he lays her on the beach. She’s still unconscious, though her heart hasn’t stopped.
“Good job, Rafayel, you brought her here and you don’t even know what to do now,” he  complains to himself.
With gentle hands, he moves the hair out of her face. She looks so beautiful even now. He can’t help it, he needs to kiss her.
Closing his eyes, he presses his lips to her forehead. A silent prayer for her to live.
Suddenly, the nearby forest rustles, followed by footsteps. He perks up and dives back into the water.
“Yes! They will be able to help her!” He hides behind a rock and watches.
A young man in strange robes appears. A religious figure of some kind, Rafayel thinks, comparing him to the underwater priestesses running the temple to the God of the Sea.
The young man kneels next to the Princess, then calls for help. He starts massaging her chest in a way that looks foreign to Rafayel, and soon other men appear to help him.
The Princess coughs water, leaning forward as she regains consciousness. She gasps and clutches her neck, looking around her. Her eyes fall on the young man.
“You… You saved me…” She whispers.
Rafayel dives just to scream “WHAT?”, resurfacing to watch the rest of the scene.
“Please, your Majesty, I simply found you here and did what any common person would have done. Now, let’s get you back to the castle. What happened?”
He helps her up and leads her into the forest, the other men following them.
Rafayel lets his head lean on the rock, frustrated.
“But… I was the one that saved you… That’s not fair…”
For some strange reason, this hurts him deeply. He doesn’t understand why this stranger is having such an effect on him.
Tired and upset, he decides to head back home, even if his trip to see the surface world didn’t get him far. After all, now that he’s an adult, he can visit whenever he pleases. Right now he just wants to get as far away from this place as possible.
As he swims back, his family welcomes him with a smile that soon turns to a frown as he goes past them and into his room. They look at each other, confused.
His brothers decide to ask him what happened, softly knocking on his door. There’s no answer. They open the door and find him lying face down on the bed, with his head propped on his crossed arms.
“Is everything okay, Rafayel?”
“Yes. Leave me alone.”
His brothers respect his wishes and leave him, but they still discuss what could have put him in such a mood when he was so excited to go to the surface.
The days pass, and Rafayel refuses to talk about it still. His family worries for him, because now he spends even more time in the garden with the statue, lost in thought and barely painting.
A statue that now seems akin to that Princess, no matter how different they might actually be. When he looks at it, he sees her.
In secret, he swims every morning to the surface, to that shore where he left her, but he never sees the Princess come by. This only makes his deteriorating state worse.
One day, fed up with her absence, he can’t take it any longer and he tells his brothers what happened on that day.
It turns out that one of his brothers knows who he’s talking about, because he swam by her castle once and saw her. That same day, with renewed hope, they make their way to the coast where the castle resides.
He’s ecstatic. The Princess is right there, sitting by the stone steps that lead to the beach, gazing calmly at the horizon.
For better or for worse, Rafayel now spends as much time as possible near the castle, looking at her, painting her. If she’s not there, he hides near the pier and listens to the fishermen talk about her, all the good deeds she’s doing and how lucky they are to have her as a Princess.
This fills him with joy. To have saved such a wonderful person…
And yet, she doesn’t know of his existence.
Each day that Rafayel spends near the coast, his love for humans grows, and he always returns home with a million questions for his family, to the point that even they cannot satisfy his curiosity.
He decides to turn to his grandmother, the wisest in all of the sea when it comes to human matters.
“Can humans live for as long as us?” He asks, bright eyed.
“No, they cannot. They have shorter lives, and instead of turning into seafoam once they die, they are buried by their loved ones.”
“So I’ll watch them die?” His smile turns to a grimace.
“Yes, that is how the world works. But why are you sad about this? You get to live and enjoy the wonders of the world for longer. Humans have nothing to do with us, in any case. They find us strange, an ill omen at times. You shouldn’t worry about them so much.”
His grandmother’s words bring him back to the reality of the situation. He can’t be by her side, and will be doomed to watch her die. And she will never learn of her true savior.
No, he thinks, I cannot let this come to pass. I have to do something.
Rafayel remembers a tale told by his parents, of a dreadful Sea Witch that lives in the deepest cave of the ocean’s floor. Dreadful, but also powerful.
Determined, he sneaks out in the middle of the night to visit her.
The carcasses of several animals and fish are strewn around the jagged rocks leading to her cave, which is adorned with the remains of sunk ships. He has to dodge a few whirlpools that threaten to plunge him down into the abyss, but once he clears them, he finds himself at the cave’s entrance, only a black void to welcome him. Tentatively, he leans his head past the threshold, only to be hit by a shiver down his tail.
Gathering his courage, he swims in with determination.
At first, nothing. Darkness. A cold current his only companion.
He sighs with relief as a faintly illuminated clearing comes into view.
“I know why you’re here,” says the Witch, hearing his sigh.
Rafayel freezes, assessing the scene before him. The witch sits atop a rock, eels and water-snakes circling her playfully. Her tail sways to and fro, the bones decorating it rattling as it moves.
“How?” He swims closer, still keeping his distance.
“I know everything that goes on under and above water. You came here asking for a solution to your ails, a way to be with the one you love; the Princess,” she cackles, tapping a finger to her chin.
He feels the tip of his ears turn red. Is that what he is feeling? Love? Before he can ponder it, the witch speaks again.
“It’s an awfully stupid idea, but I can make it happen…”
“You can? What’s the catch?”
“You have to give me,” she pauses, looming closer, “your tongue.”
“What?” He retreats, putting his hand over his mouth.
“It’s no easy potion to make. To turn a creature into a different one… I’d say the price is more than fair.”
“Wait, wait, wait. First, tell me how the potion will work.”
“Your appearance will turn into that of a human. You will lose your tail, but gain a pair of legs. Of course, you will never be able to turn back, or see your family ever again. Your lifespan will also be reduced to that of a human’s. But then again, I guess that last part works in your favor, doesn’t it?” She smirks.
Rafayel stops to think about it. His mind, however, is too clouded with thoughts of the Princess and how it must be to live on the surface.
“Will it hurt?”
“Oh, greatly so. When you turn, it will feel as if your tail is being cut in half. And when you use your legs, every step will feel like knives jabbing into your feet. However, you will also be the best dancer on the surface, and every human you encounter will see you as the most handsome man they’ve ever laid eyes on.”
“This doesn’t seem like the greatest trade-off…” He crosses his arms, frowning.
“I heard the King and Queen are looking for candidates to marry their daughter. It would be a shame to visit her like you always do, and find her with a man by her side, wouldn’t it?”
The Witch’s taunts work.
“Fine. Any other annoying rules I should know about?” He rolls his eyes.
“Once you’re a human, you will have to win the Princess’s heart. Just to remind you, since I’m taking your tongue, you won’t be able to talk.”
“Then, how…”
“You’re an artist, aren’t you? I’m sure you have enough creativity to think of a way to charm her,” she dismisses the thought with her hand. “As I was saying, she has to fall in love with you, and marry you. If she, by any chance, marries another, you will become seafoam as soon as the next morning’s sun rays start to shine.”
“That won’t happen. I can do this easily. She will love me in no time,” he smirks, shaking his head.
“Then, shall we begin?”
She moves to the center of the clearing, where a cauldron stands. She pricks her finger and lets a drop fall into the swirling liquid.
“Well? Come closer and stick your tongue out.”
Rafayel, a bit hesitant, leans over the cauldron and looks inside. The blood-dyed solution reflects his face, and as he opens his mouth and sticks his tongue out, he closes his eyes so he won’t have to see the damage being done.
A sharp sting rips the muscle out. He recoils, closing his mouth and using his hands to cover it. Blood fills the cavity and slips out through his lips, rising in plumes as it dissolves in the water. The Witch laughs.
He opens his eyes in time to see her pocketing his tongue and starting to throw more ingredients in, the liquid bubbling and smoking.
Then, it subsides. What’s left is a strangely transparent concoction that she scoops up into a vial. She extends it towards him.
Still nauseous due to the injury, he takes it with shaky hands.
“Now go. Quickly. Swim up to the shore and drink every last drop,” she ushers him.
Ignoring his pain-induced blurry vision, he does as she says, clutching the vial to his chest.
He doesn’t let himself think about his family, or everything that he’s leaving behind, as he swims eastward to the Princess’s castle.
A pleasant ache rises in his stomach with each moment that he gets closer, he can’t believe he’s finally going to meet the Princess. The one he loves. Yes, love. He’s certain about that now.
The castle comes into view as the sun starts to rise. He crawls out of the water and lays in the sand, opening the vial and swallowing its contents. For a moment, he’s grateful he doesn’t have a tongue so he doesn’t have to taste it, its smell already pungent enough.
As the last drop goes down his throat, he feels a pain worse than having his tongue cut. His tail being sliced in two, no, butchered in two. He can’t help the scream that comes out of his lungs.
The pain is so unbearable that ultimately he faints.
When he wakes, a figure is kneeling by his side, gently sweeping his hair out of his eyes. The Princess.
He turns red, looking around. He wants to say so many things, do so many things.
The first thing he notices is the fabric that now rests on top of him. Him. His legs. That’s the second thing he notices. He has legs! And he’s… Naked. The Princess must have covered him while he was unconscious.
“Who are you?” The Princess asks, tilting her head in curiosity.
Rafayel opens his mouth only to close it. He can’t speak. He points to himself, then to the Princess. Not looking her in the eyes, of course, he’s too embarrassed for that.
“You… Are me?” She giggles. “Let me guess… You can’t speak?”
He nods, clutching the fabric, which he now realizes is a long coat, and brings it closer around him.
“Do you have a family? Anyone that can help you?”
He looks to the sea for a moment, then shakes his head.
“Hmm… Okay, come to the palace with me. We’ll sort things out there. Can you walk?” She stands up, offering her hand to help him up.
Taking her hand, he manages to prop himself on his two legs. They wobble a bit, but that’s the least of his concerns, needles, pricks and knives digging into the soles of his feet.
The sudden pain, which he forgot would happen, makes him stumble and crash against the Princess. She catches him by the shoulders, which only manages to embarrass him further, his face now so close to the Princess’s.
“You just woke up after being unconscious, your legs are probably not fully recovered yet. Here, lean on me while we walk.” She extends her arm.
He takes it, his attention fully focused on the places his hand touches hers.
They walk into the castle, and the King and Queen welcome him warmly, feeling sorry for his situation.
He gets dressed in the finest clothes while a room is arranged for him. Every person he encounters is instantly charmed by his good looks and silent grace, just like the Sea Witch said.
He spends his time alongside the Royal family, his gaze never straying far from the Princess.
The first day he wakes up in the castle, he’s invited to an event that will take place that afternoon: A suitor from a far land is visiting, intending to win the Princess’s heart and marry her. Hearing the news, he dresses in the best clothing at his disposal and marches with his head high into the throne room. The Royal family lets him stand next to the Princess, who’s sitting expectantly with her hands on her lap. She gives him a smile before looking forward.
The doors open and the Prince and his servants march forward. Rafayel rolls his eyes.
After the formal introductions by both Royals, Rafayel learns that it is custom of this kingdom for the Princess to dance with any suitors she might have, to his horror.
He watches as the Princess dances with the Prince, a fond smile on her face as she glides effortlessly in his arms.
If only she knew how much I’ve given up just to be with her, he thinks.
Once the Prince is gone, the Princess speaks quite highly of him and his dancing skills, since she loves to dance.
Rafayel remembers that the witch told him he’d be the best dancer on the surface, and instantly steps towards the Princess, extending his hand.
“Oh? You like to dance as well? Well, now I’m curious!” She takes it.
The pain is unmatched, but so is his grace, the emotion that fills his eyes as he leads her across the ballroom. She is so impressed that she asks him to be his dance partner from now on, to dance with her everyday.
Rafayel chooses to ignore the blinding pain coursing through his legs and agrees, nodding and smiling.
The second day, just as the Princess said, she dances with him.
“I’ve been thinking,” she says as they dance, “that since you have nowhere to go, and you seem to have settled just fine to life in the castle, I could appoint you as my personal servant. I quite enjoy your company.”
His eyes light up at the idea, and he nods enthusiastically.
Cut, burn, tear, scream his feet at the one - two - three waltz rhythm.
He is given a chamber next to the Princess, so he may be near her at all times, as well as clothes that show his new status.
Rafayel can’t believe his luck, he’s sure they’ll get married soon if things continue like this.
That evening, he finds some painting supplies and asks for permission to use them, which is granted as soon as they see his prowess. He insists on making a portrait of the Princess. She is delighted, praising him left and right.
But at night, he paints the sea. He opens his window and captures the waves, the moon reflecting off its surface.
The third day, after dancing, the Princess takes him out horse riding. This gives him relief, since he can enjoy her company without sacrificing his feet.
But a new problem arises, he doesn’t know how to ride a horse.
“Don’t worry,” she says as she sees him confused about what to do, “you can ride with me. Sit behind me and hold on tight.”
He settles carefully behind her, turning red once more as he puts his hands on her waist and feels her warmth against his chest. He can smell her perfume, her hair tickling his neck.
The horse starts moving with her silent command, and soon they are crossing a forest, the low leaves tousling their hair. It’s peaceful, only birdsong filling the atmosphere. He sees flowers. So many. And he can’t help but wonder how they’d look if he used them for his paintings, instead of the algae he used in the past.
He ends up collecting a whole bouquet with the Princess’s help, who’s eager to see how they will look as pigments as well.
This day couldn’t get any better, he thinks.
“I have an idea. There’s a mountain nearby with a wonderful view from its top. Shall we go?”
Rafayel nods without a second thought.
Once they arrive at the mountain trail, she gets off the horse.
“The path is narrow and rocky in some parts, so we have to go on foot. But don’t worry, it’s a short hike.”
Of course it is, why did I agree so fast…
So they walk, having tied the horse to a nearby tree, they make their way up. And though it may be short, Rafayel’s feet don’t let up. For all he knows, they could be bleeding.
A small relief is the fact that the view is indeed wonderful when they arrive.
“Isn’t it beautiful?” She smiles, taking in the puffy clouds, the setting sun, the ocean disappearing in the horizon.
He nods, looking at her.
The fourth day, after dancing and strolling through the town, Rafayel leaves the castle once the sun has set to cool his feet on the shore. He sits on the sand and sighs. His feet look fine, but they feel like they’ve been mutilated.
The sea is calm, and he takes a moment to reminisce about his family.
As if his prayers were heard, a head pops out from the water. And another. And a few more. His brothers.
“Rafayel!” They swim closer, disbelief in their eyes as they see his legs.
“What happened? You disappeared! Why do you have…”
He tries to explain, to no avail. He points to the castle, then to himself. After some back and forth between the brothers, they seem to get the gist of it.
They decide to come visit Rafayel every night after this.
The fifth day, as they both sit in the garden, him painting, her reading, enjoying each other’s company, she closes her book and looks at him, her expression unreadable.
He stops painting to look at her too.
“You remind me of someone… A man that saved me not long ago. Have I told you this story?”
He shakes his head, although he knows the story she’s about to tell.
“On my last birthday, which I celebrated on the open sea, there was a terrible storm, and the ship capsized. I thought I’d die, but I awoke on the shore, a man by my side. At that time I knew he was the one who had saved me, brought me back to life. I fell in love immediately, and I think he’s the only man I could ever feel this way about…”
Rafayel suppresses the urge to bang his head against the canvas he’s working on.
“But, like I said, you remind me of him. I know you’re not him, of course, but with each moment that I spend with you, I forget him more, and I find myself wanting to be by your side, instead of his. In any case, I could never be with him, for he is a holy man and belongs to the temple.”
The urge goes away, now replaced by butterflies in his stomach.
This is perfect, he thinks, she’s growing to love me, I’ll marry her in no time.
Filled with joy, he leans forward to embrace her. She laughs, hugging him back and kissing his cheek, after which she returns to her reading.
He’s blushing, his heart beating out of his chest, his eyes sparkling. True happiness is near.
The sixth day, the King and Queen receive news of a suitor that will be visiting later that day. Both the Princess and Rafayel are annoyed by this visit.
“I’m forced to welcome him, but I won’t marry him,” she confides in Rafayel that morning. “If I had to choose someone to marry, I’d choose you.”
He smiles, his expression turning to surprise and then embarrassment as she leans forward and kisses him on the lips. One of her hands runs through his hair, while the other lays on his chest, feeling his heartbeat. He returns the kiss timidly, his hands cupping her face. In that moment, he truly feels as if all the sacrifices he made were worth it.
The time of the visit draws near, and the Royal family gets ready to welcome the suitor. While they wait, a servant comments: “I heard the visiting Prince has been studying abroad in a temple in our kingdom, to learn how to be a virtuous ruler.”
This catches the attention of both the Princess and Rafayel.
It’s then that the doors of the castle fly open, revealing the Prince and his entourage.
“It’s him,” the Princess whispers, breathless.
She stands up and walks towards him, surprising everyone in the room.
“It was you who saved me.”
The Prince smiles and nods. She embraces him, his arms wrapping softly around her. Then she turns towards Rafayel.
“Isn’t this wonderful? I’m so happy!” She takes Rafayel’s hands. “My wishes came true…  I hope your wishes come true too, my dearest friend.” She smiles sincerely.
He returns the smile, his eyes looking right through her.
The seventh day, they are to be married. Both kingdoms want to ally as soon as possible, and seeing the love the Prince and Princess have for each other, they decide not to delay it further.
Rafayel already feels his heart breaking. He will turn into seafoam come tomorrow morning.
The whole city celebrates, music and cheer in every corner. There’s decorations, and food, and the smell of flowers permeating the air.
The ceremony takes place in the biggest ship the kingdom owns, citizens and Royalty alike invited. They both say their vows, having only eyes for each other.
Rafayel doesn’t even register the words being said. He thinks about the fact that this is his last day alive. How he lost everything. His family, his body, his home, his voice, his love. His life.
Fireworks go off as the ceremony comes to a close, reminding him of that first night he met the Princess. What a blissful dream that first sight of her had been.
He joins the rest of the dancing crowd. He doesn’t care about the pain anymore. It’s his last day, he might as well go all out. His last day seeing the Princess, the sea, the starry sky he once thought he would never witness.
He sees the happy couple, chatting and laughing in each other’s embrace.
The celebrations continue until midnight, when the couple retires for the night and the rest of the guests go to their respective rooms below the deck.
Rafayel stays behind, leaning against the railing and watching the waves, the sea breeze almost a comforting balm.
There, amongst the waves, his brothers appear. As they peek out of the water, he notices their hair has been cut.
“We visited the Sea Witch,” they explain with low voices, “Word reached that the Princess was to be married, but not to you, so we asked her for a solution so that you won’t die. She asked for our hair as payment.”
Rafayel listens with hope. Things might not turn out so bad, after all. Even if he doesn’t have the Princess by his side, at least he’ll return with his family.
“Here, take his knife.”
He does, looking at it with confusion.
“You must plunge it into the Princess’s heart before sunrise, and when the blood falls on your legs, they’ll turn once more into a tail, allowing you to return to the sea. You won’t turn into sea foam, brother!” They all smile.
But he stares at the knife with empty eyes, unsure.
He nods and makes his way to the Princess’s chambers. Everything is quiet as he turns the knob and enters.
Step by painful step, he approaches the bed. They are both asleep, her head resting on his chest. He moves to her side and carefully peels back the covers.
Through the window, he sees the sky turning rosy, a sign that dawn is near. He makes haste and leans to kiss her forehead for one last time, like he once did when she was unconscious on the shore, wishing for her to live, only to pull back as he hears her whisper the Prince’s name in dreams.
His hands tremble as he grips the knife. He, who had lost so much, who loves her so much.
He can’t do it. He throws the knife out of the window. The water turns red as it lands.
Rafayel looks at the Princess once more, his mind and heart broken, yet filled with only her. Her. Her.
He sees the first rays of daylight as he jumps off the window.
By the time his body makes contact with the sea, he’s turned into pure sea foam.
A/N: It felt right to post this on Raf's birthday, hehe. To be honest, I'm not entirely satisfied with the way this turned out, although that might be my perfectionism. However, I do encourage any writers reading this to try to write this in their style! Thank you for reading and I will see y'all in therapy <3
Bonus: A song and a meme.

I think nobody pointed it out yet but in yesterday’s chapter we can see that “Hikaru” was reading some interesting books. Two of them were “the little mermaid” and “Frankenstein”
Now of course we all know that in the little mermaid , she wishes to become a human to be with the man she loves. In the Disney version she is able to live the rest of her life happily ever after WHILE in the original tale the little mermaid ends up turning into sea foam because her love isn’t corresponded.
I know you guys could say “but wait , how do we know we should take into consideration the original version of the tale?” And the answers is because of the second story.
Frankenstein seems to perfectly parallel what’s been going on in the story so far and let me tell you , that is not good.
In the story a doctor is able to sew together parts of dead bodies to bring it back to life, much like the great brainsnatcher was able to put back Hikaru’s body after his fatal fall and bring it back to life.
The monster is actually a very gentle creature , much like “Hikaru” seems to see the world with childlike wonder and innocence , but at the same time both of them get shunned away for different reason.
The monster doesn’t understand that it’s appearance is frightful to humans , and once it tries to mix in with them they run away terrified. While with “Hikaru” he’s unable to understand the concept of human life and this doing actions that scare others (Yoshiki) even tho his intentions are somehow good (to carry out Hikaru’s dying wish of protecting Yoshiki and making him happy in his place)
The problem is that the monster from the original story , with no love left for humanity , asks to his creator one last wish before completely departing to live in solitude (much like “Hikaru” keeps talking about how he should go back to the mountain). He asks for the doctor to make him a female counterpart , a lover , to share his life with. And doesn’t that sound just like what both Yoshiki and “Hikaru” have been saying? With “Hikaru” purposely reminding the viewer that even if he doesn’t express it , Yoshiki is his. He belongs to him , and as long as he doesn’t have to give up this borrowed humanity of his then he won’t have to bring him back to the mountain with him.
While Yoshiki is ready to give up his everything if it means that “Hikaru” can find a place to live as he pleases.
We could also add in the fact that in the manga it’s been said many times that Yoshiki is mixed with “Hikaru”, starting to become the same as him.
In the story the monster’s counterpart gets killed by the doctor himself , thus making the monster decide to seek revenge by hunting its creator. The story ends with the monster killing it’s creator and then committing suicide.
Let me know what you think cuties 😘

Assigning Disney songs and small analysis on why to Wondershow pairings!!
(boycott Disney literally please never stop. Pirate EVERYTHING they have FUCK Disney they're literally the worst EVILL evil corporation it's not even funny. but their stories and songs are iconic unfortunately)
Ruikasa: I See The Light (Tangled)
It's a song about discovering what it means to dream, and realizing how much your world has changed so drastically after the right person enters your life.
"All these years, chasing down a daydream. All those days, living in a blur. All that time, never truly seeing things the way they were"
TELL ME. TELL ME THAT ISN'T TSUKASA PRE-WXS. Him NOT knowing what he's doing, striving for a blurry dream he's stumbling to achieve. BEFORE MEETING WXS, in this specific case, Rui.
"All at once, everything looks different, now that I see you"
How Rui's entire view of friendship and life in general changed the moment Tsukasa officially invites and begs him back into the group. Hear me OUT.
Nenekasa: A Whole New World (Aladdin)
A song of one person showing and exposing the other to a new and exciting world, one filled with wonder.
Tsukasa pulled Nene out of her shell, and basically challenged her. While all her friends are her stepping stone, it's Tsukasa that pushed her into the world of stardom. A world she so desperately wants to achieve.
He's a competition to her, a friend, and also a motivation to keep getting better. She overcomes a lot of her fears with her rivalry of sorts with him, wanting to be an equal and improve just as much. She's brought to the spotlight, indirectly because of him. A whole new world she's just introduced to.
"A dazzling place I never knew. But when I'm way up here, it's crystal clear, that now I'm in a whole new world with you"
THE TWO STARS OF WONDERSHOW. IN THE SKIES TOGETHER.
Emurui: Love is an open door (Frozen)
Ok, I know this is TECHNICALLY a manipulative and villain song, BUT NOT TO ME IN THIS CONTEXT. Just two, absolutely silly doofuses goofing around and being equally stupid.
I don't have much logical explanation for this except for silly and also it matches their vibes SOO WELL. With Emu thinking nearly as insanely as Rui, and both of them being whimsical in nature. It makes the
"I mean it's crazy"
"What?"
"We finish each other's s-"
"sandwiches!!"
"That's what I was gonna say!"
More so their brainwave being THAT goofy and in line with each other rather than a manipulative tactic the song was trying to do.
"I never met someone who thinks so much like me!"
YEAHHHHHH
I don't have the energy to keep analysing right now but I'll drop the other two and explain later if I don't forget and die.
Ruinene: Something There (Beauty and the Beast)
Emukasa: I DONT KNOW I DESPERATELY TRIED IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEAS SHARE I LOVE EMUKASA BUT I WAS DYING.
Emunene: I won't say I'm in Love (Hercules) ORR THE LESBIAN ANTHEM Kiss The Girl (The Little Mermaid)

50. Disney Princess Film AU from this prompt list
No one prompted me for this– BUT I’d been talking about this with @purplesallthewaydown and then it was there as a prompt. So El, clearly I need to unleash this into the world.
Enchanted AU lets go– please….suspend EVERY disbelief you have. This will not make sense lmao
Daniel is Giselle, he’s in Monaco from the fairy tail land of Perth. He got here because he was driving around in his truck, singing a happy song and following a horse that just wanted to run and they ended up at the airport. The birds told him that the planes make humans fly like them and he thought that was as good an idea as any.
So he’s in Monaco, he’d been walking around, bumping into things because he’s doing tourist thing where you look up instead of in front of you. He comes to the pier and he’s tired, the birds in Monaco aren’t as helpful as the birds back home and he wants to go home. He’s singing an almost sad song and bumps into Max who is doing his normal daily run. They fall to the ground, Max atop Daniel naturally.
They’re both stunned, surprised, speechless. Max scrambles up and helps Daniel to his feet.
“Are you ok? Did I hurt you?” Max is checking Daniel over, making sure his oversized sweatshirt maybe didn’t get ripped or his knees didn’t get skinned since he’s wearing tiny shorts. He clocks the bright tattoos on Daniel’s thigh, maybe they glow a little with Daniel’s inner Disney Princess happiness?
“I’m ok. I just don’t know where I am.” Daniel smiles sheepishly, embarrassed. He hadn’t been able to find many other wild animals and the birds really weren’t helpful here.
“Oh? Where are you from?” Max is now concerned, because who truly gets lost nowadays with technology where it was.
“I’m from Perth!” Daniel says proudly, a wide smile on his face. “The birds guided me.”
Did his tattoos glow a little brighter?
“That’s in Australia right?”
Daniel shrugs in a very uncaring way. What did he know about geography when he enjoyed his days basking in the sun by his family’s ranch or hiking in the mountains or by the beach swimming with the mermaids?
Max presses his tongue behind his teeth as he thinks of what to do. Daniel gets distracted by a butterfly and starts following behind it dreamily, maybe she will guide him back home. He almost bumps into another jogger when Max grabs his arm and pulls him back into his space. They both blush.
“I’m Max.”
“Daniel!”
Max takes Daniel home, because it's the only logical next step. He can maybe book him a flight back to Perth if Daniel has no family around. It's a lot in terms of being a good samaritan, but Max is loaded and single and lives alone in the city and a race car driver on time off.
So they're in Max’s flat and he pulls out a laptop to check flights maybe, and gets distracted by Daniel literally curled around Jimmy and Sassy. He was talking to them softly and they were purring up a storm. Max has never seen this happen in his life. Sassy hates people and Jimmy takes 5 business days to allow pets.
He’s floored, flabbergasted, flummoxed. Just who was this guy?
Daniel is supremely happy, Jimmy and Sassy are wonderful hosts. They’ve told him that the birds here are in fact unfriendly, and mean. They told him that Max is wonderful but he’s often not home so they sometimes get lonely, but they’re happy together. So he starts singing to them, a lovely little ditty about nutsacks and ball hair and they cuddle closer to him. His tattoos glow brighter and the ship sails move a little because that's what they do when Daniel is happy.
Max is just staring at this all happening on the floor by his patio doors– what the actual fuck is going on?
So since Daniel is distracted with the cats, Max googles about any magic in Australia. And apparently…there's a lot. It's a utopia for magical creatures and some humans that live there are gifted, it's usually a good way to tell if someone is a good person or not– how strong their aura and aptitude. Considering Daniel was glowing and talking to his fucking cats, Max thinks that an ok sign.
“Uhm, Daniel?”
“Yes Maxy?” Daniel sung back, looking up from the cats.
“How did you get here?”
“Oh! It was like the most amazing thing!” Daniel clambers up and breaks out into song about how he had been gossiping with the horses and alpacas and then they went for a ride and the birds told him about the ‘airport’ which was a very weird place with birds for people. And he got on a big bird plane and fell asleep and got snacks and slept some more.
And while this is happening, Max is sat in his couch wide eyed as this man dances around his apartment, singing. And birds started hovering on his patio, unable to do more because it's screened in. Daniel flutters to a stop on the couch beside him and hugs Max close because he’s so happy and Max has been so nice to him. And his mom said that sometimes people want to try to take advantage of him but Sassy and Jimmy promised that Max is good, and he believes them.
And Max is….poor thing. Max is completely out of his depth. He’s thunderstruck. But there's a part of his brain that wants to keep Daniel, and he doesn’t know what to do.

Bewitched • Part One
Description: Alex Turner x Actress! Reader
Being the current It Girl of Hollywood had it’s perks. New friends. An awesome (yet inconsistent) job. Invites to the coolest parties. And meeting lots of new people. One award ceremony to support your cast mate changes everything when you meet the Arctic Monkeys and it seems fate can’t keep you away from their lead singer. And after one kiss goodnight, you find yourself bewitched.
Word Count: 3,598
A/N: Hello to all those who read this! There is so much waffling on at the beginning to build into the relationship, and then kinda goes from there on. If the writing comes off poor, I am terribly sorry for that but school and sickness hates me apparently. Also there is not a set timeline for this series, as I don’t want to have to focus on where the Monkeys were and when yaddaya because that is just added stress. However, if I mention past relationships of Alex’s, I won’t refer to by name though it should be quite clear who is who based off descriptions. This is obviously inspired by Laufey’s song, Bewitched, being the first in a 4-parter series, and also takes direct lines from the song into this writing! I would love to know what you guys think, so please tell me your thoughts!! Thank you, and hopefully you enjoy xx
Tumblr media
It was one of your favourite stories to plan in your mind when you were alone, trapped in the memories of the past. You weren’t confident on what point blurred the lines of friendship and romance, nor did you know why it took so long to completely forget about said lines. All you knew is that it did, and you had never been happier. While everyone knew that being the current It actress in Hollywood had severe cons obviously, they also knew that it definitely had several perks as well. One which came in the form of introductions to other celebrities – may that be through various award ceremonies, parties or red-carpet events. This particular night was for some stupid award ceremony that you were invited to in LA, one which you weren’t even nominated in a category for! However, your publicist told you it would be good for you to mingle with a new crowd and be there to support your peers. At first you were hesitant at putting yourself into the spotlight for no reason (you knew someone would take it out of context and you were simply waiting for the world of fame to turn against you) but when your cast mate for The Little Mermaid, Halle Bailey, said that she was going to be there you realised it would simply be fun if you tried. What’s the worst that could happen?!
And so, you got ready when the night finally arrived; your make-up artist gossiping away about the rumoured guest list and how many new people you could meet while applying light shades of purple to your eyelids. After what felt like hours listening to possibilities, you were finally able to leave. You looked gorgeous; you always did when you worked with your LA team. When you met with Halle and her sister Chloe on the red carpet, the paparazzi were quick to note the matching themes to your two characters from the movie — Halle embracing her mermaid beauty for Ariel while you wore purples for Vanessa. Posing for cameras was fun when you had someone with you, and all the people shouting your name for a brief interaction all screamed as you blew them a kiss before going inside linked to Halle’s side while Chloe held onto your hand. Thankfully the host of the ceremony sat you three together, as if understanding that the cast mates and their plus-ones should belong together. You originally wondered why Jonah or Melissa had not accepted the invitation, and it wasn’t until the tables filled up that you understood why.
You have been invited to a music award ceremony. Not an acting award ceremony, but music instead. It’s not like you mind, Hollywood knew of your admiration for musical talent in the industry and your undying support for it especially since working on the Disney live action musical. Yet, it just surprised you to be invited to such an event since you held no significance to it yourself. Perhaps that was why you were surprised when four men sat on the table aside the trio, all murmuring to themselves so that they weren’t overheard about their original topic. Introductions and some small talk later you discovered you were talking to the British band, Arctic Monkeys. They all seemed sweet, though their harsh English accents hard to understand to your posher one originally. While you tried to engage in their conversation, Halle and Chloe babbled along with the band about the music industry and their guesses for each category, you found it harder than normal. You simply sat there attempting to look like you understood, but it was evident it wasn’t true.
The man sitting aside you who you knew was the lead singer of the band redirected his focus onto you, eyebrows furrowed as he asked, “What about you?”
“What about me?” You responded hesitantly, looking confused. You hadn’t been completely paying attention to the conversation, and it appears that he had caught you.
“What award are you nominated for?” Another member asked, longer hair than the lead and you remembered him as the guitarist. Something Cook, if your brain served you correctly.
You cleared your throat, gracefully adjusting your hair with a manicured hand so it fell behind your shoulders just in case the camera snapped a photo of you, “I’m not nominated for any. Just here to support my girls.”
Halle lent over and clutched your hand, squeezing it tightly as she let out a quiet squeal. You turn back to the band, smiling widely. And that was it, the first moment you ever met Alex Turner. Both of you had assumed that night would be the last because it was rare to meet other celebrities over and over if you weren’t fast friends. Having a conversation at the afterparty whenever you were in close proximity to one another, or him offering you a drag of his cigarette while you waited for the limo back to your flat being the full extent of your relationship. It wasn’t awkward, just simply as it was. Two people in the spotlight who met each other at some award ceremony. Nothing more. Nothing less.
That was until you met him again in London. It had been maybe a month since your guys first meeting, but it seemed like whenever you went you heard the mentions of Arctic Monkeys. Maybe it was their new single on the radio, or your fans asking if you were friends because photos of the pair of you had been released after the award ceremony. Whatever it was, it wasn’t going away anytime soon and so when you met him again at another smallish award ceremony, you couldn’t help but joke about it. Conversation flowed easily and you assumed it was because you were both back in your home country, a sense of comfort allowing you to relax. You spoke to the band most of the award night as you were seated at their table again, and then one thing led to another, and you saw him again a week later. You didn’t overthink the situation with the man, simply viewing it as two people wanting to become friends. He could offer advice about dealing with fame due to how long he has been in the media, and you could ramble on about Hollywood and its issues for hours if needed. You just found it nice to be able to talk to someone who genuinely seemed interested in what you had to say.
Yet it wasn’t like that at all. You don’t even remember mentioning work once aside from talking about cast mates, but you talked of them as if you were all old high school friends. You told him about funny moments with Jonah and Halle, or wardrobe malfunctions when you were at your school parties. He laughed at every story of your past, clearly amused with your life. He told you about his own memories with his band, people who he had been friends with since school. You weren’t too surprised there wasn’t much separation from his work and life – you were pretty sure he had been a big deal since he was a teenager. You somehow ended up Hyde Park, stopping at the closest dairy to grab food for yourself and the wildlife. You watched him grab a loaf of bread, stating it was for the ducks.
“Bread is actually bad for the birds,” you told him, eyeing him carefully. Alex looked surprised at your words to which you responded with a knowing smile, “It’s better to give them frozen peas or natural-like.”
“Is Y/N a duck fiend?” He quizzed, raising an eyebrow to show he was teasing you.
You rolled your eyes, a small smile on your face, “I just care about the wildlife. I don’t want to know I was the reason a bunch of ducks died.”
Alex shrugged his shoulders in agreement, leading you to the freezer section in hopes of a bag of peas. Sure enough there was one which you instantly took. Some fizzy drinks, snacks and ice cream, later you were sitting on a bench at the lake of Hyde Park. He handed you a small amount of peas, before throwing his own into the water to bring the birds to you. You watched peacefully as the ducks scurried to the frozen vegetable, gobbling it with their beaks quickly as if worried their friends would take it. They were basically right because it didn’t take much longer for the pigeons to arrive, landing awfully close to you two. Alex shuffled away from a bird that landed on the back of the bench, a pinch in his eyebrows as he held what looked like a staring contest with it.
“Are you afraid of birds?” You asked, looking at him with interest. Alex turned to look at you with your teasing raised eyebrows, frowning as he shook his head, “Really? Because you’re basically on top of me trying to get away from a little pigeon. Why are you more worried of them than ducks?”
“‘Cause ducks are polite. Pigeons would and do steal your food if they got the chance.” He grumbled. You laughed, shaking your head in disbelief as you returned to feeding the birds. Somehow you ended up standing, arms spread in a T pose with your palms flat and facing upwards with piles of peas in them. It took a few seconds, but pigeons flew their way onto your arms, their talons digging into your skin to keep a grip as they scoffed down the frozen peas originally meant for the ducks. Alex watched; his eyes filled with disgust but lips tugging into a small smile at the sight of you laughing at the feeling of the birds on your arms.
When you returned to your seat aside Alex on the bench, he looked your red arms up and down, “That’s gross. The bacterium from their talons is all in your skin now.”
You smile smugly, reaching into your tote bag to pull out a small bottle of clear gel-like liquid, “Good thing I carry hand sanitizer everywhere I go then.”
You guys left each other just before dinner time, being together for nearly four hours just chatting about random topics. It was fun, you had to admit. That’s why when he asked to go out for dinner one night when you both weren’t too busy with work, you accepted it. One dinner led to another. Then another. Then dinner at his flat. Then dinner at yours. It didn’t take a genius to figure out what was going on, you knew it by the third time you two hung out. There was a feeling in your stomach whenever he laughed at your joke, or how you averted your gaze whenever you stared at one another too long. You felt bad about your feelings, just because of the media. What if it just made everything worse for both of your lives? Paparazzi had been following you two around every time you’re hanging, articles of a relationship blossoming being headlines on the Internet.
It Girl Y/N Y/L/N Finally Belongs to Rockstar Icon, Alex Turner?!
You had a fit when you read that, complaining to Halle about the lack of identity you got if you were in a relationship with him. It felt dehumanizing whenever it happened around your male friends, because you knew it wasn’t their fault yet deep down you couldn’t help but blame them for it. Damn Hollywood! Halle was polite in calming you down, telling you exactly what you needed to hear about the article which somehow only ended with you being coerced to spill your feelings on your friend. She said she predicted it from your first meeting, because according to his band mates Alex was never that chatty with strangers. You told her to shut up, but you were unable to contain your smile. Perhaps he felt the same way. Just maybe.
That’s why when he was walking you home from a cute little dinner, you decided enough was enough. On the walk in the late London light, there was a moment where your hands made contact. Brief, but enough to shock you. A few dinners ago you would not have been this bold, but you knew you had to be brave or else nothing would happen. Giving credit to the moment, you decided to entwine your fingers with him — starting off with your pinkies linked. Alex turned to look at you in surprise, eyes wide and a worried you attempted to pull yourself away from him in fear you made a mistake. However, Alex held onto your hand before squeezing it as if to tell you he wanted this as well. His surprise turned into a smile, and your heart soared at the look of admiration. You tried to think straight, but it was like you were coming apart every second you spent around him. It was evident when you stopped in front of your flat, gazing at one another. After a second you whispered:
“This is me.”
“This is you.” Alex repeated in a murmur almost as if teasing the way you weren’t focused, yet he gazed at you fondly. Your heart hadn’t stopped racing, and in an effort to look cool you let go of his hand to start rummaging through the back pocket of your jeans for your flat keys. He lent against the hallway wall, head cocked to the side, “Y/N… Can I ask you a question?”
You pulled out the keys, twirling it around your index finger as you focused your attention on the singer again, “What’s up?”
He was silent, staring at you. You could see his overthinking by the pinch of his eyebrow, and the faint downward tug of the corners of his lips. That got you concerned. Perhaps you had overthought this. But if that was true, then he would not of held your hand this entire time. Okay… You were definitely the one overthinking this entire situation. Suddenly his face relaxed, as if content with what he was going to ask.
“Can I kiss you?”
The words hit you at full force. He spoke them so casually it was as if this was normal, that asking you to kiss was natural. Alex’s face had softened as he studied your surprise; the raise in your eyebrows and the quirk of your lips. You took your time to think over what to say, before you muttered a gentle, “Of course.”
Alex moved forward with such speed that it almost felt like an attack when his lips caught yours, his hands cupping your cheeks. The world froze around you, but you responded with such enthusiasm that you heard him chuckle as you wrapped your arms around his neck to hold him closer. He tasted faintly of wine, you realised, perhaps the red wine he had at your dinner date. You could taste your shared breath, feel the thud of your combined heartbeat as Alex’s hands moved from your cheeks to rest on either side of your neck, his fingers ran through the hair on the nape of your neck. He realised that you fit into him like a glove, your kiss like the beating of a butterfly's wings, soft until it became addictive. He smelt of wine, spice and lust until it all spurred together in your head to form the dizzy scent of familiarity and comfort.
And you knew then that you were completely bewitched by Alex Turner.
༉‧₊˚✧‧₊˚✩彡.˚✩
The first couple months of the relationship were utter bliss, naturally being the Honeymoon period. You both had decided to keep it private from everyone until you were secure with what was happening — and even then, there was no possibility that you were going to announce it to the world anytime soon. The paparazzi and reporters were simply holding onto rumours, not knowing how truthful they were but that was all they were going to get. Confirming the relationship was like adding a newborn into the situation, neither of you were prepared for that stress this early on. Halle was the first of your friends to learn of the update in your love life, squealing louder than you have ever heard. It made you giddy at the response. Apparently, the band had a less loud reaction to the news, according to Alex, but they were all excited to see you around more. That made you feel good, you had to admit, and it only made you feel better when they all sent you a text with congratulations and threats to Alex if he hurt you.
Then there was Alex himself in those first months. You were quick to learn that his love language was physical touch and gift giving, something which contrasted to your acts of service and quality time. It was the small things that he did for you which started making you believe he was trying a new form of witchcraft. He was simply casting a spell on your heart, whether he knew it or not. Every note he left in the pocket of your jacket, or purse pouch when you weren’t looking, entrapped you to his comfort. You were utterly bewildered with the new feeling soaring through your chest as you read them over, a smile unable to leave your face. The time spent together only grew from random meals together to spending the night at each other’s flats watching your favourite movies in rotation, so it was fair – simply coexisting side by side with one another.
Yet that honeymoon phase died suddenly, not because you grew out of the euphoric feelings but because life grew that messier. You had been worried endlessly about this happening, preparing yourself for the conversation but it didn’t make it any easier. When you went over to his place for the night, he murmured the information that the Arctic Monkeys were starting their tours in Oceania soon. You rolled over in the bed to face him, frowning slightly.
“You could come with me Y/N, if you wanted too of course.” His words were so soft, his lips barely moving. If you weren’t so used to the tired mumbles of nonsense with his accent, you would not have been able to understand a word he said. Instead, it only made you feel sick at the idea of you being apart for the fear of the unknown change.
You sat up in the bed, leaning against the headboard as Alex redirected his heavy eyes to gaze up at you with confusion, “I have to go to LA for a modelling shoot and auditions.”
Alex looked away for a brief moment, it hitting him like a train at what this meant. He reached out and grabbed your hand, entwining your fingers like you had done the first time. Bringing your hand to his lips, he placed delicate kisses on your skin in comfort, “It’s okay. We still have each other even if we are countries apart. Calling exists for a reason, right?”
You knew he was right, but it didn’t stop you from overthinking the entire situation. It would be the first time the pair of you weren’t in the same country since starting this relationship, and you hated how dramatically you reacted to it when he fell asleep with his back to you. You had taken a walk to try and gain back some control you were losing, cursing at the moon as tears rolled down your face. It was like you were consumed by fire, fuming with every emotion but it worked in some way. It was some sort of release. When you returned to his flat, the kitchen light was on. He was sitting at the dining table, eating what looked like a bowl of cereal though he had stopped as you attempted to walk into the flat quietly. A sigh escaped his lips, and it took everything in you to not burst into tears again. The moon (and those who would have unfortunately heard your pleas late at night) had already listened to your fears, you did not feel the need to pressure Alex into the same conversation.
Instead, he got up from the dining table and walked over, wrapping you in his arms. You held him around the waist, your cheek smooshed against his chest as you blinked away stray tears while looking at the bare wall. He placed a gentle kiss to the top of your head. You wanted to stay like this forever. Neither of you having to leave for your ridiculous jobs that had you missing him already. You knew it was a fantasy, but you hoped for nothing more. You stayed in his embrace for a couple of seconds, the pair of you lingering onto the feeling even though you had a week or so to fully say goodbye for the small period of time. You felt him lean down, his lips right against your ears as he whispered:
“Keep me in your heart, m’kay?”
Pulling away from the embrace to look up at him, resting your chin on his chest, you said nothing for a moment. His brown eyes were full of pure admiration, and the same bewildered feeling you got every second you were around him seemed to double in feeling. There was not much for you to say to the singer, so you murmured a ‘of course’ back before he led you back to the bedroom.
And you knew then that not even distance could stop you from being bewitched by Alex Turner.

The Princess and the Frog Thoughts 🐸🤍
Alright I'm done and here's a list of miscellaneous thoughts
Tiana is best girl, holy shit this is the type of person I should strive to be like
Her parents are just... so good? This is such a healthy family
Is the implication that her dad served and died in the war? :(
Lottie is best girl, seriously, I really hope she gets her own happily ever soon
I really appreciate the depiction of Lottie and her dad: yeah they're the rich white people, but they're not the white saviours, and they're generous and friendly, and also not racist. Like, take notes, fucking billionaires of the world.
Dr Facilier scares me, and then I think "This is the same voice of Husker from Hazbin Hotel, who I like" and then I feel better lol (when I was little I couldn't watch this or the Little Mermaid because the villains scared me too much)
Naveen is charming, but I like seeing him grow up and decide to get jobs for Tiana.
Okay so I guess my favourite trope is enemies-to-lovers, see Tiana x Naveen, Firstprince, Elizabeth x Darcy, and Beauty and the Beast
Is the central message love is more important than working hard for your dreams? Cause that... doesn't sit quite right?
Holy shit Evangeline is Neverland, the second star to the right
Their swamp wedding outfit, absolutely gorgeous
I miss this style of animation from Disney
The songs are great, but I also somehow get why for this one only "Almost there", "Friends on the Other Side" and "Dig a Little Deeper" are well-known
There is a lot of... butt humour
How does the ending work, Naveen is the eldest son of the King, therefore Naveen is the heir of Maldonia, Tiana you're gone be the queen, how is that gonna work lmfao
Kinda wish the moment Lottie's dog Stella recognized the frog as Tiana amounted to something since from their limited interactions it shows that they have a bond
I wanna try those Beignets
I don't recognise most of the food mentioned 😅 Culture gap really said fuck you in my face
Kinda wish there was more of Dr Facilier? Like, somehow as charismatic as he is, I feel like he's a less compelling villain than say Ursala or Scar. Maybe that's because the cruelest thing we see him do is turn Naveen into a frog and almost kill Lottie's Dad. We don't see him completing any evil deeds the way Scar kills his brother or the way Ursala turned Triton into the shrimp thing (that was what made me terrified of her as a kid)
Lottie why are you calling your father "*Big* Daddy" that sounds really... really... weird, why not just "daddy", is this a culture thing
I was watching while doing my freaking duolingo Spanish and I fucked up and shouted "bloody hell" in my best imitation of Tiana's accent because that kinda something I do, and then I just couldn't speak proper English for like a minute lmfao
Tiana's busy but she still has friends! Like, yeah she's working for tips and stuff but she knows a lot of her customers, and her friendship with Lottie lasted throughout their whole life!
When they made a mention of her being outbid and then the two guys saying "a woman of your background" I went "are we finally explicitly acknowledging racism!?" but that was it lol
What language is Naveen speaking when he's not speaking English?
TZP, there are two Disney princes that suit you. Disney, I hate what you're doing with your live actions, but I will relent a little if you give him one of those two princes
Anyways, seriously, 9/10, I wish more people talked about Tiana because oh, my God, she is such a wonderful character

I saw someone mention "the shitty changes made to the plot" abt TLM and im honestly left wondering what changes they are talking about, because I did not catch a lot of changes and for the most part liked them, the only change i took to disliking was the reunion scene at the end. I also cant think of any changes that really changed the plot, so im just left confused.
i have to laugh at the few people who hate the changes that were made because i LOVE the changes! the little mermaid is my fave disney movie and the live action changes only made the story even better.
a few changes are: ursula making ariel forget that she has to get eric to fall in love/kiss her, ariel being found by a fisherman and brought to eric’s castle by the fisherman as he works there instead of skuttle knowing where eric lives and taking ariel there and eric finding her outside of his castle grounds, ariel being the one to kill ursula instead of eric, so it’s ariel who saves her father and eric. this change in particular is AMAZING because ariel should be the one to avenge her father after what ursula did to him and ursuls tried to take eric away from ariel and take over the entire ocean. i get people being sad we didn’t get eric’s “i lost her once, i’m not gonna lose her again” line but the fact that we got eric half shirtless coming out of the ocean crying desperately for them to send out ships to find ariel and then him tragically finding ariel’s blue dress in the water instead had my heart in pieces 😭😭😭😭 another change is the end where ariel and eric leave on a little boat off to explore the world instead of a grand ship on their wedding day. i love this change too because this eric doesn’t care about being a prince or royalty. he just cares about being with ariel and getting to explore the world with her.
i actually think the live action reunion is EVERYTHING! eric can’t believe ariel is real and standing in front of him. he looks like he’s about to cry as he rushes over to her. he hugs her like he will never let her go and she’s literally clutching onto his back and their kiss is so SOFT 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️

Something as a life-long Disney fan that I adore about The Little Mermaid Live Action remake is that it understood what made the original so special.
I’ve seen so many of the remakes either do a shot by shot remake or add things that take away important factors from the original.
I love how enhancing Eric and Ariel’s shared love of collecting made their romance better.
I love how Ariel, while liking Eric after the night of his birthday, still also got to truly explore and learn about the human world.
I’ve been a Little Mermaid fan since I was a child and this was such a wonderful experience. I loved the movie so much (and am going back to see it again) and I’m so glad that this was a true remake that was faithful to the beloved source material.

What Even Are Disney Princesses?
I think two things make Disney Princesses super-successful. The first thing is that they’re “One of Us.” The second thing is, they’re “Examples of Superheroic Character.” Not as in “super-power,” but as in, “strength of values.” Just like the best super-heroes (like Spidey) usually are. The difference is, Disney Princesses don’t (usually) have superpowers that show off their strength of character—so how they respond to circumstances is what shows off their strength of character, instead.
For example:
Ariel’s One of Us
Tumblr media
It’s ironic but it’s true. She’s the modern catalyst for this idea. She’s “the girl next door.” Every single person can relate to wanting more than what you have even if what you have is wonderful; every single person who’s been a teenager can relate to wanting to be understood, and feeling this horrible tension between loving what they’ve got but feeling like what they’ve got doesn’t fit anymore as they grow up.
She’s got these sweet little moments where she doesn’t know how a fork works but she’s so excited to see one and then embarrassed when she gets funny looks for brushing her hair with it. She sobs and runs away from an argument where her dad isn’t listening to her. She laughs at herself for pretending to be engaged to Eric’s statue. And tiny changes are made so that we think of her less as a mermaid or a princess and more as one of us—nobody ever calls her “Princess” regularly, except the bad guy. AND
Ariel’s Superheroic Character

Ariel has a strength of faith that many of us can only dream of. She learns a tiny piece of truth—that humans make wonderful things—and from that, she chooses to believe that all of her culture’s history, everything her dad says, and even the fact that her own mother was killed by humans, is wrong. When she says, “I don’t see how a world that makes such wonderful things could be bad,” she’s doing what so few of us are capable of: she’s taking truth, and acting upon it, instead of going with the crowd and listening to the popular opinion.
She does the same thing when she learns that Eric is a selfless, noble, self-sacrificial human—she knows those things are true, so she chooses to love him and sacrifice for him, against all odds and hard circumstances. We’d all like to be the kind of people who can do that, so that’s why she’s a good example.
Another example!
Belle’s One of Us
Tumblr media
We can all relate to feeling lonely, and out of place. To feeling like we want what we see in stories—adventure, big, epic lives—and then finding out that what we really want is the thing that makes those stories worthwhile: love, simple and plain. Love that sees our inner world and meets us there.
She has these tiny moments of trying to talk to people about what she’s really excited and passionate about in her stories, but people who can only see the work and day-to-day in front of their noses don’t get it. She’s charmed and excited by things that are charming, like dancing silverware. She rages to herself about annoying suitors while she does her chores. She’s afraid of things that make sense to be afraid of, like hungry wolves and horrifying beasts. And she misses her father, even when she’s living the storybook adventure she’s always dreamed of, and she isn’t afraid to show it.
AND
Belle’s Superheroic Character
Tumblr media
Belle has this almost-unattainable, inspiring character trait of self-sacrifice. She’s read books about heroes her whole life. She’s dreamt of freedom and adventure. But she gives it all up for her father, and sacrifices her independence, her home, her only source of love, to be like the heroes in her storybooks, even though she’s done nothing deserving of that fate. And considering her relationship with Gaston, we know that what she’s really giving up is every dream and every love to live with her worst nightmare—chained to a tyrant who’s cruel and self-focused.
But she does it anyway. And she doesn’t stop there. She makes the most of her situation—not by breaking her word and trying to get free, but by being willing to see that there’s more to that self-focused tyrant than she originally thought. By believing, once he shows her that he has enough good in him to save her life, that that good can be coaxed out and strengthened, and even loved. She’s this high ideal of self-sacrifice at every decision she makes.
I could add to this post with every single Disney Princess from Snow White to Moana, but I don’t have to. You guys know what I mean! The Disney Princesses have hearts that are everything we wish we could be—and because they’re also relatable humans, they make us believe that we could one day have the same hearts, too.
It’s never about their ability to sing, or have tiny waists, or big eyes, or healing hair and freezing powers and magic mermaid voices. It’s about their strength of character.

My Favorite Movie A BAKUGO X READER FLUFF FANFICTION
Tumblr media
It was three PM.
And you were bored out of your mind. Of course, you did everything to prevent this but being all alone sucked ass and you knew it in your hearts of hearts. So, you callled Bakugo, the least boring person in the world. At first, you thought it would go to voicemail; but he picked up on the last ring.
"Yes?'' The irratation in his voice was evident but you'd be lying saying you didnt smile at the sound of it.
''Hey,'' you said. ''I'm bored right now.'' There was a long pause. ''That's it?'' He intoned. ''You're bored.'' ''Yep. I'm coming over to your dorm and doing whaever you're doing right now with you.'' You said as you looked around your dorm for a sweater. ''The hell?'' He snorted. ''No, you are not.'' ''I'll be there in... like, 5 minutes.'' ''Fine,'' He said hanging up. Once you made your way to his door, you knocked three times loudly. As you always did. ''Come i- WAIT. HANG ON DON'T COME IN YET.'' Bakugo's voice responded from the other side of the door. ''Oh,'' you said while holding back a grin, ''Okay.'' Once he opens the door, you notice two things right away-- The way his face is red and the poorly hidden computer under the bed. So you push him aside, rush to grab the computer, and open it. While you thought it might've been something shameful like so horny video or something... instead the first thing you see is; Ariel, from the Disney film, The Little Mermaid. ''Bakugo,'' you say eyes glued to the screen. ''What the fuck is this?'' With a long exhale he replies, ''It's my favorite movie, okay?''
This leaves you even more puzzled. ''So,'' you start. ''Why would you have to hide that again?'' ''....I really don't know actually.'' he says with a shrug. ''....If it helps,'' You say. ''I cried at the movie 'Finding Nemo' ''
This earns you a look of question. '' I WAS SIX OKAY?'' Yous trying to cover for yourself even though you weren't you were eight when you cried at that movie. ''Yeah, sure. Anyways,'' Bakugo says sounding slightly amused. ''You wanna watch the moive with me?'' ''Sure!'' you reply. ---- NOTES: THIS IS ACTUALLY BASED OF MY SHIFTING EXPERIENCE SO IF YA'LL WANT MORE OF THIS I CAN MAKE A WHOLE ASS SERIES STARTING FROM THE ENTRANCE EXAM TO THE WAR ARC. [AND YES, BAKUGO WILL LIVE IF THATS WHAT YOU'RE WONDERING] IT'LL HAVE ENEMIES TO LOVERS, REALLY ABSURD DRAMA SO LMK IF YALL WOULD BE INTO READING THAT BY REACTING, COMMENTING, LIKING, OR REBLOGGING!

Wish review cause I've got stuff to say
Do not read if you have not seen the movie and don't want spoilers. Also you don't have to read if you uncared about my opinion I just have words to say about this movie but I am not saying anyone has to have the same opinions as me.
So first point. Storyline.
I felt it was to...rushed like everything happened so fast from Asha finding out the truth to her wishing on star, revolting and then the ending. It felt very rushed and it was hard to feel any stakes or tension, didn't even get a real feel for the characters. Like Enchanto gave us the slow stake of the house and the magic slowly fading and breaking. Same with coco and him finding his relative that will wish him home while letting him play music.
Even little mermaid did a better job of storyline of Showing Ariel and her interests, her meeting Eric, saving Erica, meeting Ursula and then the whole three days to make Eric fall for her.
A rushed storyline brings me to the second point. Characters. Now I liked Asha but I didn't really get to KNOW her. All I know of ashamed is she's caring, can draw and has alot of faith in people and their wishes. Which is wonderful...but that's all I got from her. With Miguel we know he's mischief, loves to play music, fast runner, overly friendly and stubborn. With rapunzel we learned she was innocent, naive, artistic, a jack of all trades, curious and anxious.
Asha kind of felt like snow white or Aurora, there just wasn't much to her.
I also felt magnifico revealed his true colours really quickly to a girl he didn't know very well and didn't trust. I mean she wasn't even his apprentice yet and he outright told her that not all the wishes got granted and majority of them float around. Like...why? Why did he tell her that when she didn't even work for him yet or show any reason for him to trust her with this information. Hell the whole movie wouldn't have happened if he HADNT said anything
Speaking of Magnifico, I didn't mind him as a villain. He reminded me of Ernesto from coco and maleficent. And I understood what he represented, at least in my eyes this movie showed alot of toxic relationship and toxic manipulation method and techniques. Such as magnifico telling and expecting the people to just listen and follow him blindly just because he does his duty as their king
'I let you live here for free and don't charge rent, I clean up your messes, I give and give and give and all I ask for is respect' sounds alot like how toxic parents manipulate their young children as well as toxic spouses.
Ashas friends were also not very flushed out as characters, I barely remember their names except for dahlia. The other friends I only remember from their main trait, guy who sneezes, the quiet girl, the chill out guy, the short angry one, sad Simon and one more girl I don't remember. The friends only showed up for short times and we just didn't learn much about them
And one more thing, the MUSIC. Like...Disney.. come on. I found none of those songs or music pieces as catching my attention. This is a company that gave us hellfire, part of your world, let it go, every song of coco, we don't talk about Bruno, we are the three caballeros, kiss the girl, be a man, son of man, two worlds!
Also, the ENDING! I took two morals from this movie. How to spot toxic relationships and when to leave (this from the people and especially the queen who once she realises he is no longer the man she loves and he won't change and is hurting people. Stands up to him even though she LOVES him) and the second being 'don't rely on others to make your dreams and wishes come true' wonderful! Yes accept help to make your dreams come true but don't rely on others or give up.
But then...THEY GIVE ASHA A WAND?!! so that SHE can grant wishes?!! WHAT DID WE JUST LEARN!!?! yes I know asha would do a fairer and better job but...but COME ON!!
But now the GOOD POINTS
I liked the animation at first it was odd but that's because I'm not used to the style. But it was still lovely and the effects with the magic especially the wishes and the forbidden magic was fantastic.
The concept. The idea of someone realising that their beloved King is actually misusing and betraying them is a very nice idea and I love the idea of showing kids how to spot this kind of manipulation from adults they are supposed to trust.
I also loved the concepts of Wishes. Of the people feeling joy and wonder and love when they got their wishes back into their hearts and them feeling a horrible feeling when the wishes were crushed.
All in all. I feel the movie was rushed, and they should have waited longer and put more time into it rather then rush it out for the 100 years of Disney.
But that's just my view, would love to hear yours ^.^ (but no hate on anyones views or ideas)
