I crave for a gathering of the different villainess AU MCs. A mutual commiserating over their villain-like lovers/husbands. A hey you were transmigrated too! Or in Floyd's case, help me what did I do wrong to deserve this! What kinds of interesting conversations, alliances, and other shenanigans may happen?

Imagine a round table of villain/ess!readers just discussing the insanity that is their situation. Like cue the topics that lead into existential crisis and maybe a few geek outs. 

One villain/ess!reader: Do you think the Spiderverse is real, then? Oh dang, maybe there’s a Pokémon world somewhere! 

Another villain/ess!reader: Ohhh, wonder what we gotta do to get reincarnated into that one?

Villain/ess!reader C: At least we're not in a horror genre… 

Imagine becoming the most peaceful era of all times because so many powerful members of nobility and even members of royalty are basically besties for some unknown reason. They really be bringing the kingdoms together.

Malleus’ villain/ess!reader: I’ll try to convince Malleus to join this year’s Noble Gathering. 

Leona’s villain/ess!reader, smirking: Don’t worry, I’ll make sure Leona shows up. He ain’t skipping if I got anything to say about it.

Imagine non-reincarnators, including the TWST men, not being able to make heads or tails of the slangs the villain/ess!readers use around each other. It’s like a whole another language in itself. It’s mostly to make sure no one knows what they’re saying but also because it’s fun. 

Azul’s villain/ess!reader: hey bestie, that heroine of yours be acting real sus, not gonna lie. 

Riddle’s villain/ess!reader: you think so? Do you think she’s a you know…?

Or sharing embarrassing reincarnator moments. 

Kalim’s villain/ess!reader: Kalim did something really sweet recently and I accidentally told him he had rizz. He started hounding me on what that meant and now he can’t stop saying it.  

Leona’s villain/ess!reader: At least you didn’t get caught saying “I’m not a furry but…” to your new beastman husband. 

Imagine the villain/ess!readers having actual discussions in figuring out who else might be reincarnators and making plans to bring them in. 

Jade’s villain/ess!reader: So Jade’s brother is currently chasing after someone…and I think the script has changed, you get me?

Azul’s villain/ess!reader: Oh dear, and with Floyd too? That’s a tough one. 

Malleus’ villain/ess!reader: I think I might have found another script-changer…

Riddle’s villain/ess!reader: Actually, me too…

Kalim’s villain/ess!reader: Now that you mentioned it…

Idia’s villain/ess!reader: Wow, so many newcomers! We should start making welcome gift baskets at this point. 

Vil’s villain/ess!reader: Oh, should we~? Vil has so many amazing skincare potions!

The choice to put Una Chin-Reily on a Starfleet recruitment poster in the late 2370s seems a nod to the extraordinary person she is and her exemplary service, but Boimler’s enthusiasm for her as a personal hero cannot mask the fact of what Starfleet execs are really doing here: while it is Starfleet tradition to honour esteemed personnel from its centuries of history, we have to look at the poster as a product of its time: it seems clear that, shortly after the devastating death toll and the rapid militarisation of the Dominion War, putting a prominent figure of the Great Exploration Age - and notedly someone who had not served in the Klingon War - as the poster person for Starfleet is an indictment that contemporary young people of the Federation are not drawn to the service as it is in their time anymore.

Critically, Starfleet has to use somebody from a 120 years ago, a timeframe that would lap generations of even especially long lived member species like Vulcans or Denobulans, to attract new recruits. Boimler says himself that seeing Una as a representative and her motto - “Ad astra per aspera” was: “Uh, it was a really big reason why I joined.” Clearly there is a wealth of recognisable Starfleet officers from 2370 and onwards, but their entanglement in the Dominion War, or at least in the Borg threat makes them unsuitable as role models for people like Boimler who cannot help but associate these contemporaries with the horrors of war and intergalactic conflict. Thus, the retreat to a “safe” historical narrative, with Starfleet still being about peaceful exploration reflects the growing divide between the realities of a colonised galaxy, the ongoing need of new bodies to fill the posts on all those ships and space stations and the aspirations and values of young people today. In this essay I will question whether Starfleet can keep its promise of scientific integrity in the face of growing political unrest in the UFP and ask what “Number One” herself would have thought about-

Honestly the funniest thing about TDP to me is that Rayla for some reason always thinks Callum isn't 100% ride-or-die with her on any given situation. Seriously, she could decide she's jumping off a cliff and he'd do it too--oh wait.

I get that half of it is 'protecting' him but like. Girl he has been ready to die and kill for you since the first snake chain incident. It has not lightened up since. In fact its gotten worse. She's his special little guy and if anything happens to her he will kill everyone in the room and then himself. She physically cannot ever sacrifice herself for anyone because Callum WILL be following her straight into the afterlife in no less than a minute. I'm fully convinced he can and would go even further than Claudia and he'd barely have to think on it for five seconds before shrugging like "damn this sucks, can't believe I have to turn evil" "you literally don't have to--" "no I'm gonna"

And honestly I think that's peak teenagers first girlfriend behavior.

We should normalize being the average artist who never really goes viral and is happy in their lane creating for their own sake (be it commissions, or art for themselves).

The clout chaser mentality of all social media sites rotted our brain where we can't find value in our work unless it has a big number besides it.

Create for yourself, not to please some elusive algorithm that changes on a whim and pushes you back to square one.

look all i'm saying is if you give mash a chance with a very grounded sense of the time it was airing in and the pressures it was rebelling against and the brand-new trends it was setting, there will be a point, maybe a few episodes in or maybe a few seasons in, where you suddenly go "okay, yeah, i see why this show became such a popcultural juggernaut that the finale is STILL TO THIS DAY the most-watched tv show episode ever"
