Fun fact. Back when CC was still going, I saw Darren Barnet in Never Have I Ever and thought he sounded a lot like Kenji, despite Kenji being voiced by Ryan Potter back then
And I'm only just finding out that Darren Barnet NOW voices Kenji in CT

It was like a full circle moment. Perfect casting 10/10
#Yes I'm slow on the uptake#I wasn't really keeping up with the VAs on the show#But Darren barnet has a great voice#I got excited when I recognised him in Blue Eye Samurai too#AND he voices the main character in the Godzilla Minus One dub#Truly a talented VA#jurassic park chaos theory#kenji kon#darren barnet

Thoughts On The English Voices:
takumi - so bad it can't even be bad in a fun way, who is this Norm L Man guy voice trying to speak over female coworkers and acting his little heart out at the 3rd grade talent show trying to prove to everyone that he's still got it
takemaru- waaaaaaay way way too deep. this is not a 17 year old thug with a heart of gold this is a guy in his mid 30s who smoked a little bit and put on a voice filter to sound More Man because Hes A Man Guys Mann
shouma - actually kinda fits and chiefly ISNT TRYING TOO HARD which doubly fits the character so overall pretty good. easy 9/10
kako - somewhat fitting but fitting in a very nothingburger kind of way. like Yeah That Sure Is An English Girl Voice For The Young Girl Anime Character
ima - i feel so bad for this one because the va very clearly had fun with this role and WAS trying and not in a Too Hard Way but thumbs down. ngl i think the tone could work if ima were a slightly different character but he isnt and also every english va trying to work as a substitute for megumi ogata is bad anyways because you cannot ever replace megumi ogata's voicework and have an improvement
hiruko - trying just a little too hard. the voice and tone do fit but I feel like this va got a backstage note that was like a general list of character traits and whoever handed her the note really liked that hiruko was a dominatrix so that particular note was bolded circled in red pen and underlined 3 times to make the actor really convey that Shes A Dommy Guys
gaku - he is a sniveling little creature so his voice fits BUT he's a little too shrill and I think his voice having an annoying whine to it doesn't work bc its less that hes annoying because he's whining and thus needs the whiny voice and more that he's annoying because hes a bitter hater at everyone so the jp deeper tone va conveys it way better
darumi - the only proof that god doesnt want kodaka or uchikoshi to commit suicide because her english VA fulfills every checklist on being a perfect adaptation into a different language. EASILY the best english VA. POGGERS
tsubasa - my note on kako? yeah what if kako was annoying and had her audio balancing set to be higher
eito - head in hands deep sigh. YES OK its kinda good but it has a little too much nerd in glasses and buck tooth emoji feeling to it 🤓
nozomi - kinda like my note on kako but what if her voice actually fit better like shoumas. right alongside shouma as a Generally Good Above Baseline voice.
karua - same as nozomi but. weirdly better? I cant really say and honestly theres not a more fitting conclusion
kyoshika - hrmnnnn. this VA isnt trying too hard and isnt THAT unfitting but I feel like she's enunciating a little too much bc she got the note of kyoshika being an old fashioned samurai. less a fault of the english VA and more that the jp VA just had a better grasp of conveying how parody of a character she is
kurara - geh. too high pitched and unfitting in general, not nearly enough elegance or noblesse oblige. also sounds like theres a filter? or maybe the sections ive heard had the va with something in the back of her throat. what did you do to my tomato
yugamu - if darumi had any competition for a good english VA it would absolutely be yugamu's english VA, this man understood the assignment. notably theres a little more character acting in this voice, where it feels like they actually read some of the context around the script to convey yugamu's character well vs just reading from a script
moko - this VA understood the assignment like yugamu's VA i can tell they had fun and really truly did try their best.... but it just doesnt fit im sorry moko's english va.... it really does sound like "girl voice but the speaker pitches it down a bit to be slightly manlier"
sirei - So normal but i kiiiinda like it better? Unfortunately thats a knock against him bc Sirei's voice is meant to be annoying THAT SAID going from a jp to english audience, making him a little bit southern/ AMERICA WAR MAN does work weirdly enough
nigou - keeps nigous gender ambiguous so honestly. best i could hope for in an english va of the thick assed marshmallow
eva - her voice is actually pretty good! easy fit alongside the shouma tier of voices
vehxness - this one is pretty good. even with favorite character bias i think this va just had the dramatics down to a T and did a really solid job. longer dialogues dont work as well bc she just doesnt have the Handsome Woman voice but when shes hooting and hollering dramatically with big speeches shes at her best
shion -
maybe im just an ontologically evil filthy elitist weeb loser about this but the hundred line english va's suck so bad takumi's voice on its own is so far removed from the character i cant take it seriously.
that said darumi saying poggers is the strongest "finger on anubis' scale" for justifying its existence
#thllda#the hundred line last defense academy#truly genuinely hope none of the vas see this and think i hate them like realistically it was always gonna be kinda like this#plus iirc a lot of the vas for both dubs were new talents so as far as first assignments go it could have been FAR worse#really none of the vas felt like they were phoning it in and the va alone is not responsible for the role#whoever was casting needed to do some more research#bc you can have the greatest va ever but sometimes a certain voice just fits a role better

In honour of nothing and purely because I want to talk about the things that I enjoy:
My no. 1 favourite audio roleplay characters & listeners from various creators & why (ft. My fanart)
1. Redacted Audio
Gotta start with the channel that truly got me into the audio roleplay genre. This channel is like a gateway drug(/j/lh) for a lot of people.
Speaker: Imperium!Vega
Just how different he is from his canonical counter part is so very interesting to me. Especially since the premise of the Imperium is “if just a few things went a little differently”. His growth as a character with & because of Pet also interests me greatly. I also just really enjoy speaker/listener pairings with interesting power dynamics

Listener: Darlin’ (a.k.a Tank)
Tank is a listener with a lot of potential for different and interesting dynamics between speakers, both romantic and otherwise. Their past with the Shaw pack and joining late, the loss of David’s father and the “Quinn-cident” are all things that affect who they are and how they see the world and I appreciate that much character being put to into a role that usually gets left relatively blank to allow more people to put themselves in their place.
3. Auth/Soma ASMR
Another talented creator I found as a direct result of a Redacted collab. He’s so busy tho, hope he’s doing okay out there😔😔/lh
Speaker: Leo
I’m gonna be so real with y’all, this one is purely for… unseemly reasons… DON’T LOOK AT ME LIKE THAT-/j/lh He’s a werewolf, he’s a dom, he’s a freak (like that and not like that) And within three videos I’ve been given just enough story to keep me thinking about him… *checks notes* 2 years after he disappeared off the face of the earth/lh/j
Listener: N/A
I wouldn’t say there’s any real stand out listeners for me

4. Atonal ASMR
I love Atonal’s work. Like it’s actually crazy how much I enjoy it. I found them when YouTube looked a me, looked at my watch history and went “I know what you are😒” and now he’s one of my go-tos when I recommend people.
Speaker: Gideon
He was my first Atonal character and I love a polite little guy. I mean look at him!!! He’s so nice! And caring!! And silly!!!!! Genuinely such a calming character & series. There was a period where I would just put his playlist on when I needed to sleep.

Listener: Medusa
You mean WE get to play the cool interesting creature???? With a mystery behind our origins, oh Atonal, how you spoil the audience.
5. ZSaku VA
Man I remember when I first got into Saku (that is a lie, I think it was YouTube recommendations, could have also been from TikTok who knows). God he is so talented I’m genuinely jealous/lh
Speaker: Xanthus
This is another case where he was my first Saku character and I am just really attached. I really like the dynamic he has with his listener and his story interests me greatly. I am not ready for his story to end.

Listener: Pet
A recent standout in the Sakuverse line up but a beloved one for sure! I LOOOOOOOVE unique listeners and Pet is definitely in a league of their own[/derogatory(/j/lh)] This strange creature is thought provoking to say the least. (No one is allowed to say a WORD about how 3 of my all time favourites have something to do with listeners named pet)
6. Escaped Audios
The famous creator of such gems as Sneaky Goblin Ruins everything, Not in Front of Dinner Darling and You “Accidentally” Stomp on Stuart Little, I’m pretty sure I found out about his existence from the various pieces of fanart I saw on the hell site.
Speaker: Basher (Slash & The Basher series)
You can’t give me a weirdo and not expect him to be a favourite! His story is a lot of fun and I really enjoyed the premise. I got a thing for freaky deaky dudes/pos/lh
Listener: Slash (Slash & The Basher series)
It might be because I like the series as a whole so much but Slash is such a fun listener to me, like “yeees serial killer!! Kill those guys!” /j I seriously need to watch the “My True Love is Dead” premiere.

7. Castle Audios
I am so embarrassingly behind on Castle but GOD is her stuff good.
Speaker: Genevieve
I cannot quantify what or why but I love her so much.
Listener: Knight
Same as Evie I’m just so attached to these little guys/gn

8. Mr. Laveau
A friend of mine and an incredibly talented creator, it makes it so hard to just pick one favourite in each category. I remember when their very first episode came out and I fell in love with their world & story telling.
Speaker: Uriah (Bloodmoon series)
She is the moment, the icon and the very first character Veau ever posted I love Uriah so much I feel crazy sometimes y’all don’t even get it. He needs to come home IMMEDIATELY.
Listener: Cher (Bloodmoon series)
Cher is so complex and every time I feel like get a handle on who they are/what they do next I’m bamboozled. Yet another unique listener, oh how I love you.

#audio rp#audio rp characters#youtube#audio drama#audio fiction#redacted audio#good boy audios#auth asmr#atonal asmr#escaped audios#castle audios#mr. laveau#zsakuva#Jesus that’s a lot of names#and a lot of words#what’s worse is I have more words#only a few though

Thunder reforged: Rolan x Dammon - #BG3 FanFic Review
Review by Aivu (@aivuthedragon)
Happy timezone, dear readers! Today I'm happy to bring you this incredible series of works by velocitross on AO3. What's hotter than a tiefling wizard with a knack for a well-timed thunderwave? Said tiefling wizard having a rendezvous with his tiefling blacksmith paramour, of course.
A note from the BG3FicReviews team: The entire BG3 community was been rocked by the recent controversy surrounding Dammon's VA, including the various fanwork creators who've fallen in love with Dammon, included him in their work, and are part of the LGBTQAI+ community themselves. We want to express our support and love to Dammon fans, Dammon fan work creators, the LGBTQAI+ community generally and all those adversely affected by what's happened. As such, we have decided to feature such works in our reviews this week. Make your love louder than the hate. 💜
As always, mind the tags! Our review is continued below the fold due to the NSFW nature of the content in these works.

This incredible artwork by @arczism was inspired by velocitross's Rolan x Dammon fic Working Steel, which is included in today's review.
Working Steel, the first of velocitross’ three works that include this rare pair, is a masterwork in character portrayal. The author adeptly captures the at-a-glance somewhat incompatible personalities of the two tiefling refugees who fled Elturel together and now reside in Baldur’s Gate. In this work, the relationship between Rolan, the ever-surly wizard and the newly ‘appointed’ master of Ramazith Tower, and Dammon, the gentle yet infernally talented blacksmith of the Forge of the Nine, has grown far beyond mere friendship.
Rolan, frustrated by his attempts to catalogue the mindless chaos remaining after the untimely death of the tower’s former owner, approaches Dammon to ask for his help and visits him at his forge. But what could a blacksmith possibly offer a wizard? Well, a good fuck, for one thing. Rolan is pent-up, impatient, and needs a good lay. And, it turns out, so does Dammon. The smut that ensues is not only blazingly hot but also beautifully captures the tender affection between the two tieflings through not only their words, but small, unique gestures of love and care. (Mind the tails. I mean, tags. No, tails.)
In Up in the Tower, it’s Dammon’s turn to visit the wizard’s domain. But the blacksmith receives a less-than-warm welcome, as the ever-grumpy Rolan becomes highly annoyed at having his work interrupted. But considering Rolan is dressed in little more than his underwear and an open robe, I’m more than willing to forgive him for his surliness. Dammon, however, being the sweet, gentle soul that he is, insists on taking care of Rolan beyond his carnal needs alone. In this work, the relationship between the pair deepens, and the author has wonderfully captured the intimacy of the pair. Lastly, we have Within the Storm. This work takes us back to the Shadow-Cursed Lands as the tiefling refugees attempt to cross its desolate lands on their way to Baldur’s Gate. When the Absolute’s forces ambush the group, Rolan expertly wields his magic to stave them off. But when something happens to Zevlor, the battle takes a turn for the worse. In the chaos, Rolan’s siblings, Cal and Lia, are kidnapped and several of his friends and co-travellers are brutally murdered.
Once at Last Light Inn, Rolan is a fucking mess, devastated by his siblings’ capture. Lost in the depths of his despair and way too much drink, the tiefling wizard finds comfort in the arms of a fellow refugee he’d known since childhood - Dammon. And thus the gentlest embers of affection between the pair begin to spark to life. This lovely one-shot serves as a prelude to the author’s much-anticipated long fic about the pair, their growing affection for one another and what looks to be a truly beautiful love story. If you would like to follow velocitross’ incredible work about the love between a tiefling wizard and blacksmith, please be sure to subscribe to the author on AO3 and follow their work and the pending long fic. We have included a snippet of Working Steel below for your enjoyment. As always, please support the writers of our incredible fandom by leaving kudos and comments on their work. 🫶

Working Steel
By velocitross on AO3
The ring of his hammer fills Dammon’s ears and his attention as he works. A soft frown of focus curves his lips. It’s a simple enough repair—restoring a blade for the halfling woman standing outside the forge watching him work. Still, there’s a satisfaction to it: the rhythm of his strikes, the heat of the day in Baldur’s Gate warming him beneath his layers of apron and clothing. The ordinary busy noise of the city goes on just outside his focus, a subtle, stabilizing comfort even months after the Netherbrain’s defeat.
When he glances up from his work, a distinct figure catches his eye amongst the passersby. Rolan, with his proud bearing and his regal blue and red robes, coming toward the smithy with a tense, bothered scowl and his tail lashing behind him. A smile touches Dammon’s lips. He knows that look.
“I’ll be with you in a moment,” he says as Rolan comes to a stop an awkward few feet from the halfling waiting on her sword.
“Well, don’t take too long,” Rolan snaps, and then reddens further when Dammon raises an eyebrow at him. “Sorry. I’ll just—I’ll wait.”
Dammon lifts the blade off his anvil to study it. He smiles at the halfling as he passes her the sword.
“Give that a try. Come back if you need anything else.”
She moves off to the side to examine the blade, allowing Rolan to step up to the forge. He stands, arms crossed, his face flushed as he fixes Dammon with his bright yellow stare.
“Anything I can help you with, Rolan?” the blacksmith prompts.
Rolan sighs. He places his hands carefully on the edge of the anvil, glances again toward the halfling woman, and leans in toward Dammon.
“I need . . . Steel.”
Dammon breathes a good-natured chuckle.
“Come on,” he says, nodding over his shoulder toward the building. “I could use a break, anyway.”

Wanted to show my love and appreciation for the OG Cast who brought these iconic and memorable characters to life and I'll forever be saddened and frustrated by how the recasting situation was handled back in 2006 and how most of the VA's were treated, they will ALWAYS be these characters. 💗🫶 And although I've watched some of the other Anipoke media (& Seasons) with the recasting voices and have given them a chance, I'm not a fan of either of them tbh. They're all talented in their own right don't get me wrong but they just kinda lacked the same charisma, energy and charm that the OG VA's had and it just didn't feel the same without them, the only VA change I don't mind is Sarah as she improved as time went on and made Ash her own, and did her own unique spin with him which I do appreciate as it was something different but as for the other voice changes, I'm still not a fan of the them at all and it's really such a downgrade from what the original cast brought, imo.
But even years after the recasting that happened, these VA's are still loved, praised and appreciated for their roles on Pokemon and how much energy and love they poured and put into voicing these characters, you can truly tell all these VA's truly cared about the characters and wanted to add more to them when voicing them, whenever I'm reading any fanfics or watching any Anipoke media, these are the voices I still hear in my head almost all the time. They all truly stole the show and made these characters who they are, which warms my heart as I'll forever cherish these guys and what they brought to the table when voicing these iconic characters and the OG's will honestly never be replaced and they'll always be the best, they'll always be the very best, like no one ever was! ❤️💫

Hello Raven! I hope you’re doing well today. I was curious, however, as to if you’d ever thought of a voice claim for Miss Raven, or a general idea of her tone of voice and the like?
ajsbkguatvivoeavf I'm useless when it comes to knowledge of VAs, so I haven't really thought about this 😭
I think I've had a few readers share their own ideas for Miss Raven voice claims (the previous one was Fischl from Genshin Impact, although the sender did not specify which language VA they meant; I suggested Furina myself). (I unfortunately was not able to track down the older related posts.) I've also had the honor of having a friend act out some voice lines I wrote for Miss Raven.
I think there's a general consensus that she sounds tiny and high-pitched, sort of like how you'd imagine a twittering bird to be. I see her sometimes taking on this dreamy, longing sort of tone when she's daydreaming or talking to herself. (It's sort of funny because if you've ever heard an actual raven making noises, it sounds sort of scary?? Like, loud and screechy... But they can also whimper and purr??? And they can talk and sing?????? Bird of many talents...) Being the storyteller that she is, and wanting to assert herself among the many strong personalities at NRC, Miss Raven has a sort of theatrical and smug or self-important tone. (Picture her talking as if she's dramatically narrating a story at all times!) It's not that she truly believes she is better than her peers, but she feels that she has to wear this facade if she is to survive in this dog-eat-dog world. This is how she adapts to her new human life!
Miss Raven “breaks character” when she’s thrown off her game. Then she takes on a squeakier, more vulnerable and girlish voice, sort of like a tsundere when she’s being more -dere than tsun-.
cbjsbskwkw Basically, she has the same voice but two variants of it: one is the haughty and arrogant “mask” she uses as a defense mechanism + to try and fit in at NRC, the other is her “true self”, which is much softer and more vulnerable. Miss Raven tries to hide the latter because she fears it will make her come across as weak and easily taken advantage of. It’s survival of the fittest out here!!

Hi! I was wandering through your blog and saw some of the asks about rewriting Katsuki, and I hope you don't mind me popping in, I'm sorry if this is a bother. I saw you talk about Katsuki bullying Izuku pre-quirk, and I find those scenes super interesting, because the voice actor, particularly in original, actually really improves these scenes for me since they seem to be playing it as genuine. Pre-quirk Katsuki seems to genuinely be confused about why none of the other kids can do what he can, why can't they read, why is Izuku uncoordinated and clumsy when Katsuki isn't? It sort of makes me think pre-quirk Katsuki is proto-Katsuki, just a dumb little protege who doesn't understand why he no one else is keeping up or challenging him or the hurt he causes by pointing it out. And then quirks or lack of, and adults telling him he's so gifted and talented and special and that's why everyone else can't keep up, and it's turned up to eleven and starts getting nasty.
Thanks for the input! I will be honest, I mainly just read the manga and watch some anime scenes with my friend who watches mha, meaning that there is some stuff from the anime that I can sometimes miss in my posts!
That being said, recontexulaising the scenes of pre-quirk katsuki as him genuinely being ignorant and unaware of the harm he causes is probably the most plausible explanation and makes a lot of sense. In the manga katsuki's memories, pre quirk are heavily biased and infulenced by his current internal monologue and thoughts that are hard to miss and due to this one can easily mistaken it as him just being like that since day one, so I will take your word with the VA making it seem that young katsuki wasn't truly aware of the harm he was causing and that harm caused was unintentional and not done out of malice but rather out of ignorance.
The show seems to establish from both katauki and izuku's perspectives that bakugo was the 'prodigy' and the manga does try and convey the consequences of this (rather poorly) with katsuki being fed the constant sentiment that he is the best and that he will make it far in life due to his capabilities whether that be him with or without a quirk. The sentiment was instilled into katsuki ever since he was a child (which is why after he gets a quirk, it's a very quick spiral into him, starting to beat kids up) and we see this through izuku's own description of pre quirk katsuki never being "good or bad but filled with confidence I admired."
From what we see in the manga, katsuki is depicted as the prodigy that then gets thrown all these expectations and titles by adults around him, naturally expecting him to be a hero or something great due to his quirk and his circumstances in life and we see that older katsuki echos these beliefs that the adults place on him whether that be his breakdown after the kidnapping or where he confronts izuku angry that izuku somehow got into UA saying that he was supposed to be the only one in their year and school to get into UA aka katsuki was supposed to be the legacy child he is supposed to be the greatest because the people have always expected that and thought of him to be that.
I think the river scene echos this messaging best imo. When katsuki leads his group through the forest and falls into the river, the entire group (minus izuku) responds by simply asking if he is okay and not even waiting for a response (almost as if they remember that this is katsuki) and simply believe or assume that he is obviously okay because he is strong. The more I think about this scene, the more it seems to vaguely remind me of how hero society treats all might. Why would anyone ask all Might if he is okay? He is the strongest of them all in the group of heroes? It's almost as if the thought doesn't even pop into their heads, and it's why barely anyone realises the state of hero society and how all might is hanging on by a thread because they always expect for the strongest to be okay because they are the strongest.
Essentially, this scene, along with Katsuki's inner thoughts, solidifies the consequences of having a societal expectation pushed onto an individual as we see katsuki and many other characters suffer because of this.

We see how this expectation of katsuki causes him to develop a unique mix of both a superiority and inferiority complex which seems to be an inner conflict that he struggles deeply with although I think hori misses quite a lot of times to fully flesh this conflict out.
In the end, katsuki becomes so disillusioned with social roles in hero society that he literally spirals when izuku does not conform to this social role and when this 'pebble' chooses to rebel and become a bigger obstacle in his supposed path to greatness. Izuku is everything that katsuki isn't, especially in society's eyes. Izuku is supposed to be the person that katsuki is supposed to be better than but what society tells him about izuku doesn't actually fit who izuku is as a person and it drives katsuki up the walls because even when izuku may be shaking with fear he still stands and does what he believes is right which is all something that doesn't match up to katsuki, this isn't something that society or the people have told katsuki will happen, this isn't supposed to happen but now it does and it is happening and katsuki starts to question his role in society believing that izuku is after it (this belief is further emphasised when izuku states that he wants to be a hero)

However, I do think that there needs to be acknowledgements made that while society and katsuki's parents are at play to the person he became so is katsuki himself.
I find it quite interesting that Katsuki, for all that it is knows exactly what's right and what's wrong. He knows that what he told izuku was wrong, and even if he somehow didn't (which I find completely unlikely), his lackeys tell him otherwise. Katsuki, for all that it is in his middle school class he isn't popular, but people simply acknowledge his power and strength. We literally see that it really is only the teachers that kiss up to katsuki and that his classmates are shown to take offence when he calls them 'extras', literally telling him to "get over himself". I find this interesting because izuku (oh the dear unreliable narrator) tells us that he is suprised that 1A is calling out bakugo's behaviour when his behaviour was being called out in middle school although the voices weren't as loud and they also seemed to heavily judge izuku as well.
For all that it is, katsuki's so-called middle school friends are literally just some random that follow him around, probably due to his strength and what that has to offer to their social roles in society. Katsuki seems to be quite the hypocrite as well calling out the lackeys for smoking because if they get caught, it would affect him, but he doesn't care when he gets called out after literally suicide baiting izuku. This seems like katsuki hangs out with them because they stuck onto him, and he may be a bit lonely for all we know due to his unlikeable personality but it seems like he does care about his image to an extent. Katsuki may have a horrible personality but he seems to care about his image and reputation as that's a key part as to how society views people and that he needs a spotless record to get into UA and actually be allowed to access various life changing opportunities.

Alright, here we go!
This is a live commentary for episode 3 that nobody asked for. Spoilers ahead!!
Well, Crunchy just crashed, lol! Can't handle the crowd tuning in to Kuro at the same time. Have to reload the page a few times. But I'm in now!
Recap, recap...
The first 3 minutes was just a recap 😔
Oh, now we're starting! I'm practically vibrating with excitement for that scene!!
Ouch... That looks really painful. Seb looked like he's got some skin disease...
Run, run, Seba, RUN!!
Oh, Ciel... my poor baby...

This is what horror is made of...
OP! OP! C'mon! C'mon!
Here we go! Here we go...!!
YASSSSS!! AAAAAAARGH!! AAAAARGH!! I'm SCREAMING, CRYING, AND STARING AT MY MONITOR!!

Whoa! The Sieglinde scene is so cool!! She sounded so... otherworldly...
I do wonder what kind of 'ritual' is it, like what kind of water is it, what's that sparkly thing?
Hoooooo... booyyyy.... between the latest chapter and this episode, we're seeing more of Seb than we had in years...

Ok, scene over. Next exciting thing, Ciel rejecting Seb and how heartbroken the demon was. And r!Ciel's debut!!
Oh dear... Seb forcing that tonic down Ciel's throat must've been very traumatising... poor baby 😭
R!Ciel!!
C: No, Sebastian!! No touchy touchy!
S: 😯😲😧😨😱
Tanaka, stating the obvious...
Since r!Ciel was voiced by a different VA from o!Ciel, I'm wondering if each of Snake's snakes has their own VA...

Look at Seb's hand. 4 of his fingers are affected by the 'curse', except for his ring finger where he wears his wedding ring 😁
Lol, Wolfram looked very offended. Why are you giving these to my young lady?!
They're not showing Sieglinde eating with gusto. It's not a pretty sight - probably.
Hey, what if Seba turned himself into a shota Seba? Would Ciel let him close?
This whole magic thing is truly a waste of Sieglinde's talent and skills, and an insult to her intelligence.
Wolf is screaming and Seb is not impressed. I can see him rolling his eyes on the inside.
One of my favourite things about CloverWork is how much they're showing off Seb's teeth and fangs 😁
Seb talked about wanting to see werewolves as though he was talking about visiting the zoo...
I've talked about this part about Seb lowering himself before Sieg for Ciel's sake before. This is a big gesture from him.
Ciel, what did you hope to achieve by whacking your pillow? Are you trying to ask Seb for a pillow fight or sth? Well, for once, it was raining white feathers instead of the black ones...
I wonder if Ciel still recognized Sebastian at this point? He couldn't see him. He could only hear his voice. If... if Finny was there with them and talked to him, but Seb was the one touching him, would he know?

He looked so, so miserable...
Aaaand the smug whore demon is back...

No, Seb, humans don't recover from such thing in two days. Look at Ciel! He's still covered in blisters and the victim from the 1st episode is still in the hospital.
It's in chapter 3 of 'Humans for Dummy - A Complete Guide to Human and their Quirks'. You can find the book in row 69 in the demon library.
Wolfram is a voice of reason and Sieg's naivety is really showing. It's never wise to hire a butler without doing a thorough background check. What if the person is a demon?
So, Bard & Mey packed their uniforms with them on a mission?
Oh! We're getting a flashback!
I wonder if the other servants ever thought about Tanaka. Like, he has never been tasked with ANYTHING.
And that's it for today's episode! See you next week!

APRIL 18, SYLUS DAY 🎂🥂🎉
happy birthday to my one and only dragon, sylus! 🐉🔥our loverboi™; the leader of onychinus, real ruler of the n109 zone!
where hearts live was so heartwarming; truly a great addition to sylus’ soft and wholesome 5-star cards roster. and he looked so good basked in golden sunlight surrounded by greenery—i like to think this as an extension of himself he doesn’t show often, unless it’s with mc. just look at this:

spring suits him really well; all the pinks and greens throughout his birthday event as well—he looked so good.😌✨
nestled embrace, have you watched the video yet? i find it so enchanting; very immersive indeed.
(to sylus’ va, sir, you’re really talented.🥹👌)
what makes it all better, at least for me, is that the entire video is reminiscent of grassland romance—wander in wonder was my first multi-banner event, so it holds special place in my heart. 😌💕
and the birthday set up + all the little sylusmc things scattered throughout the video makes my heart full—the attention to detail, no matter how small, is one of the things i really appreciate about infold/pg.😌💅

#my final heartfelt rambling for sylus bday maybe haha#re: sylus where hearts live#sylus#love and deepspace#lads#love and deepspace sylus#lads edit#lads gif set#love and deepspace edit#syslut.edits#syslut.lads#lads2025#added the crow topper and some more gems haha

Btw have you listened to any covers by the alstg VA? Do you have any favorites ? Just got reminded bcs omg new akugetsu cover 😮!
SO FIRST OF ALL, THANK YOU. it's amazing to get this ask actually because just this morning I was drafting a post about the ALNST VAs and how good they are! They're all so talented, and they fit their roles perfectly. I truly couldn't imagine anyone else playing their roles!
Here's a favorite cover/song of mine from each VA!
(Note: These are all just based on my personal preference, and I haven't gone very deep into each VA's discography yet save for a few. These are just the covers that I listen to most frequently! Please forgive my basic ass taste btw)
Russian Roulette (Red Velvet) by Rubyeye (Mizi's VA)!
I'm gonna be honest, I'm a very simple person. Russian Roulette is just a very cute song! And I think it suits Mizi so well, all bright, bubbly and candy sweet (at least in rhythm)!
I love hearing Rubyeye's voice no matter where it is honestly, she's rather versatile! In ALIEN STAGE, Mizi often sings slower ballads (My Clematis), or in her lower, more mature voice (Ruler of My Heart). She sounds absolutely gorgeous of course, but Rubyeye's voice in more energetic songs is such a joy to hear as well!
My second favorite Rubyeye cover is actually the Mizi version of UTTE! Can you tell that I love hearing Rubyeye's more energetic covers. Can you tell yet. I know it's very unpopular, but I love Mizi UTTE so much. The way that she sings is so incredibly charming to me, she has a lot of spunk in this cover! I love how she sang "ain't nobody but!" I honestly love that lyric more in Mizi's version than I do in the original! It holds a lot of character which I adore.
Catch You Catch Me (Cardcaptor Sakura OP) by C!nah (Sua's VA)!
Once again, I am a simple person. I can't resist a cute and sweet cover.
C!nah's light and angelic voice fits so well into this song! It sounds absolutely lovely. Plus I already loved the song beforehand, so I might be a bit biased lol
C!nah's voice in general is so unique. It has such an clear and airy quality to it! They picked such a perfect voice for Sua.
My second favorite C!nah cover is Sua's version of ROMH! I adore how Sua sings like a whisper. Her voice brings such a haunting feel to the song.
LILAC (IU) City Pop Cover by 6FU;
Being honest, my favorite 6FU; song is actually Drunk and Party.
But if we're talking covers, this one might just be my favorite due to how shocked I was upon listening to it.
Hyuna has a very energetic and rough voice, with such a strong and unique tone. I was expecting it when clicking on this cover, which was why I was pleasantly surprised to hear a much smoother, calmer voice.
And it's beautiful! I haven't listened to much from 6FU; yet, so I might find some new favorites once I do. For now, I'll keep listening to this cover over and over again.
Sweet Dream (Luka Version) by BL8M (Luka's VA)!
OKAY I know this already an Alien Stage song. I don't know if it counts but I'm putting here anyway because GOD.
THE TONE AND TEXTURE OF HIS VOICE. I'M IN AWE.
Was absolutely floored listening to this for the first time. I actually ascended
BL8M is actually one of the songwriters for ALIEN STAGE, and he sang the demo for this song!
You can really hear his expertise. He owns this song.
My "the worst person you know has the voice of an angel" post was literally about this I was going insane
THE WAY HE SANG THE PRECHORUS. THE "save me please" OUHHH...
They couldn't have picked anyone better for Luka. He literally kills every song he sings.
유우리(優里) - 베텔기우스(ベテルギウス) by PARK BYEONG HOON (Ivan's VA)!
PBH's wonderfully rich and deep voice. What a blessing.
I love how soft he sounds in the beginning of most of his covers, slowly growing in intensity until he's fully expressing the song.
The ranges he uses in this cover are so nice to listen to. I love the switching between his deeper lower voice and his soft higher voice.
Thinking about Ivan's voice in CURE and how it's probably going to sound more anguished and desperate than this makes me sick btw.
Anyways please listen to this cover he deserves the support.
Um. My other favorite PBH cover is umm. uh. The short clip of a MANIAC (Stray Kids) cover he posted on Twitter.
GUYS DID YOU FUCKING HEAR THAT ONE. CAN WE PLEASE TALK ABOUT IT??!!! HIS VOICE. THE BASS. FUCK.
I actually went insane. Finally got to hear Ivan's lower, rougher voice and I was shocked to my core. Life changing.
Cistus (KOUSEI) by AKUGETSU (Till's VA)!
HERE WE ARE. MY FAVORITE.
So this technically isn't a cover. It's an original song that AKUGETSU sang vocals for. Sorry. I'm just so obsessed I needed to share it.
IT'S SOOO FUCKING GOOD. SERIOUSLY.
Of all the ALNST VA's I've probably listened to AKUGETSU the most (sorry. Till bias) and this song is still probably one of my absolute favorites from him.
JUST LISTEN TO IT. The guitar in the intro. The quieter vocals in the first verse that build up to a BURST of sound in the chorus. The way he enunciates everything is perfect.
AKUGETSU is such a seasoned singer. He really knows how to work his voice and knock a song out of the park. It's genuinely addicting.
This song is such a fucking banger. Till would sing this. GOD IM SO OBSESSED WITH THIS SONG.
Another absolute banger from AKUGETSU is his cover of I'm Invincible (Ado)! I love the way his voice moves, going high and low in the same line. He's such a dynamic singer.
I adore how AKUGETSU brings an energetic rock vibe to every song he sings. His voice is such a standout.
Sorry for the long ass answer! I love all the ALNST VAs and I really hope they continue to flourish! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to talk about them 🙏

Who the fuck is this? Seriously, ever since I discovered this monstrosity, I've been feeling disgusted. My friend informed me about this design, and despite it not being 100% official, the damage is still done.
I know many people acknowledged Norman as someone black. And I've agreed most of the time even though in my au I never actually made him black, lol. But I agree on this one. He should be black. Literally, the whole fandom agrees on this one. Yet hear me out- I am not mad since his VA wasn't black at all, color really doesn't matter to me. But what bothers me so much is that he's simply hideous, ALL OF THEM.
They are so many talented artists that you have no idea just how many they are. They had options, many more. Just now, I saw the most jaw-dropping, beautiful- breathtaking fanarts of these same characters. I wish I could tag them all.
I just don't know what to say anymore. I've been such a huge fan of batim since 2017. I was a weird kid since I never stopped talking about it. And I don't mean this as a flex, I'm trying to say that batim has truly been my most precious thing ever. I can't explain how much I loved this back at the time, I still do.
It's been a while since I started to lose my way in the whole lore. Ever since batdr dropped, I haven't been able to catch up. And I must say, ever since they said that a movie, graphic novel and many other books would drop. I just knew I couldn't have high expectations on something like this.
And Jesus christ. I guess we were all right about this one. I really hope they do better, I really do. All I know is that I fear for Thomas Connor, Sammy Lawrence, and Wally Franks. They are absolutely my favorite characters, and even though I have my own impression and headcanons about them, I just pray to the Lord for them not to be THAT bad.
I only had to say this, lol. I needed to vent, whatever happens, I guess there's not much I can do anyway.
P.S. I made this drawing. This is my design of Thomas Connor, lol. Fun fact is that Thomas and Norman are my favorite characters.
I ship those two, btw... Norman x Thomas sounds fun.
What do you think about this in general?

so i watched suzume. . .
And it was good—the animators, vas, musicians, and other talented people who worked on this film deserve so much praise for their work.
On the other hand (and this is a purely personal exercise that isn't meant to detract from Makoto Shinkai's vision for the piece), I think the overall theme of the film might have been better served if the story centered on the ups and downs of Suzume's relationship with her aunt Tamaki, rather than Souta.
Suzume is very much a story about grief—set against the tragedy of the 2011 tohoku earthquake, Suzume's personal struggle with the loss of her mother is arguably our entryway into understanding how this tragedy continues to shape the relationship between Japan’s very geography, its history, and its people.
I believe that central to this narrative focus is Suzume’s complicated relationship with Tamaki, her mother’s sister, who raised Suzume for much of her life after the loss of Suzume's mother. For me, one of the most important moments of Suzume and Tamaki’s relationship is shown at the climax of their disagreements with each other. After being Suzume's sudden departure from their small town (partially out of that rebellious teenage desire to not be "suffocated" by Tamaki's presence; we'll get to Souta’s role in this later) and Tamaki's understandable worry about Suzume's wellbeing (which leads her to embark on a wild goose chase after Suzume, though we’re not shown much of Tamaki’s personal journey), Tamaki yells at Suzume while the two are at a rest stop with Souta’s friend Serizawa. Tamaki bitterly states that raising Suzume after her sister's death had been a suffocating burden on her as well, as she couldn't find love and live the life that she had wanted because of her responsibility. This leads Suzume to shrink back in disbelief, as she recalls a pivotal memory where, after wandering in a snowstorm in search of her mother (and encountering the Ever After), she is found by Tamaki, who cries and affirms that Suzume will always be her daughter. It's a heartbreaking scene. We can empathize with both characters—Suzume is closer in age to most viewers, and we know that she doesn’t really hate her aunt’s presence, as the stress of her chase after Daijin and Souta’s temporary “demise” has whittled away at her emotions. Similarly, we can imagine that Tamaki herself likely hasn't overcome her grief at losing her sister, and that her outburst wasn’t truly genuine—she does love Suzume, but she wants her adoptive daughter to understand the sacrifices she had made, because she had no one else to confide in or rely on. We anticipate that this is the emotional crux of the movie, showing the relationship of a surrogate mother to a child who has gone through deep, unresolved trauma, now burdened with the consequences arising from the "imbalances" of the spirit world, itself a metaphor for the turbulence of living and of losing.
. . .and then the movie doesn't do anything with this scene. It's suddenly cut short with the random appearance of the keystone Sadaijin, and any lingering tension from that scene is resolved offscreen, with Tamaki and Suzume regaining each other's trust in the next scene. It feels unearned and deeply unsatisfying, especially when the emotional core of the film then gets transplanted onto Suzume's emotional relationship with Souta, a college-aged man whom she has known for less than a week (Suzume, by the way, is in high school, and even if they don’t “get together” in the movie, it makes me a bit uncomfortable seeing someone who is implied to be in their twenties being the implied romantic interest for a seventeen-year-old).
So, I thought, what if the movie kept its cast of characters, and the general sequence of events, but instead of Souta being the one cursed by Daijin to be the keystone (an act that initiates the film's events), it was Tamaki? This is going to be broken up into a few reblogs since it's too long for one post, but here's how I would structure it. (Part 1 of 2, and with a lot of my own hc interactions)
The beginning of the film can stay the same, including Souta's appearance. however, the driving force for Suzume to go to the isolated spot where the first door is located is an argument with Tamaki, rather than her implied curiosity regarding Souta. Perhaps, in this fight, we see bits of Tamaki's personality that may come across as "suffocating" to a teenager, even if she meant well.
Suzume, bothered by Tamaki's presence and the dream that she had of wandering through the Ever After, goes to this isolated spot to get away from everything, which is where she encounters the door and Daijin. Perhaps she's sulking a bit, and makes some sarcastic remark about someone like Souta being able to travel (something that would show her interest in leaving the small town she currently lives in). She then opens the door, Daijin escapes, and she goes about her day as in the film, until the worm appears above the skyline.
She then runs back to the door, where she encounters Souta again. They close the door, and Souta explains what he does and what the door represents. She brings Souta back to their house for medical treatment (except without any of the weird romantic tension between them), and they begin talking about Suzume’s life (perhaps about her room, the chair, and her dreams, as Suzume imagines the kinds of dangers—and thrills—that come with Souta’s position as a Closer).
This is where Tamaki comes back into the story. Tamaki, returning early to check on Suzume and encountering Suzume and Souta together, thinks the worst and begins to berate Suzume. They get into another argument, with Souta trying to calm the two down. Suzume, already stressed from the day's events, wishes that she can be "free" of Tamaki.
This is when Daijin appears on the windowsill, shit-eating grin and all, and says something along the lines of "Ok, Suzume. I can do that—because you're just like me." And then Tamaki is suddenly turned into a chair.
The same chaos ensues, with Tamaki, Souta, and Suzume chasing after Daijin until they get on the ferry. This is where Souta can give some more exposition, saying that he's never encountered this before, while encouraging Tamaki and Suzume to try and come together as he figures the whole thing out. Perhaps this is also the time where we get more information about Souta's personal life (in this version, it is information about his desire to become a teacher, as well as info about his relationship with his own mother, who was killed during a dangerous mission she took on as a Closer.)
The trio continue chasing after Daijin, with the group splitting up by necessity (thus allowing Tamaki and Suzume to have more screentime together). Specifically, Souta finds out that another door is opening off the path of travel they are taking after Daijin, and he instructs Tamaki and Suzume to continue their journey while he takes care of the other door. Before he leaves, he gives Suzume another key he keeps in his possession, which he reveals belonged to his mother.
Suzume and Tamaki continue onwards and meet Chika, the girl on the motorcycle. Suzume and Tamaki then cooperate in closing the door opened by Daijin. In this version, I think it would be interesting if Daijin is actually actively opening doors, not simply leading the pair to doors that are about to open. This serves as a huge bonding moment for Suzume and Tamaki, as they previously couldn’t go a day without arguing over the best way to do things.
Suzume and Tamaki stay at Chika's place (and have the downtime with Chika that is shown in the movie), except Suzume's dialogue with Tamaki consists of her confessing that she is jealous of Chika's independence and the bustling atmosphere at Chika's home. Tamaki is initially angered by this, but gradually calms down in her “chair corner” as she sees Suzume and Chika having fun, perhaps even reminding Tamaki of her own childhood with her sister.
When Tamaki falls asleep, she sees visions of her sister, which both frightens and immobilizes her (i.e. literally her survivor’s guilt “anchoring” her in place). This is meant to replace how Souta gradually descends into his “death” when he sleeps.
Suzume and Tamaki head off and are picked up by Rumi, the mother who works at the hostess bar. Initially, Tamaki whispers to Suzume that she doesn’t want Suzume hitchhiking with a stranger, but Suzume tells her that sometimes they need to rely on others to get by. The same comedy shenanigans with Rumi’s children can be kept in—I think it’s more fitting that Tamaki plays the role of the “toy chair that can speak” in order to keep the children entertained, because she probably, after all, raised Suzume on similar silly stories.
Suzume and Tamaki run to the abandoned fairgrounds to close the other door when the worm appears. I think this scene becomes more impactful when Tamaki is the chair and not Souta, as her decision to save Suzume from falling from the Ferris wheel and letting Daijin go would highlight her parental worry for Suzume, though perhaps this isn’t fully realized by Suzume in the midst of her adrenaline rush. Suzume, however, does look upon the fairground as a place that she wants to go to with Tamaki, when all of this is over, though she keeps this to herself.
Suzume, watching Rumi work her shift as a hostess, comes to appreciate the struggles of being a mother more. Similarly, Tamaki wants to connect with Rumi as a peer, but is limited by her chair form. Seeing Suzume bond with Rumi makes Tamaki want to be there for Suzume, as she sees Suzume slowly maturing into her own person. However, neither Suzume nor Tamaki feel ready to fully open up about these nuanced feelings, as they fall instead into a comical back-and-forth when they’re alone.
Suzume and Tamaki manage to get to Tokyo, where they meet up with Souta. He tells them that he’s been doing whatever research he can to try and figure out how to break Tamaki’s curse. This is where he can explain the keystone lore to Suzume and Tamaki.
The giant worm starts appearing over the city. Tamaki insists that Suzume get out of Tokyo. Souta agrees, and tells Suzume and Tamaki to leave, stating that he can handle the worm himself. Suzume refuses, stating that she’s not going to let anyone else die—the “else” implying that she too still feels survivor’s guilt over her mother’s death.
Despite Souta’s attempts at reasoning with her, Suzume is adamant on staying—Daijin appears and mocks her, telling her that she only knows how to let her aunt dictate how she lives. Suzume rushes ahead without Souta and Tamaki. Tamaki and Souta chase after Suzume, with Tamaki yelling at Suzume again, calling her “rash”, "always making her worry and chase after her," and “thinking and behaving like a child”.
Perhaps Suzume covers her ears, as Tamaki’s words begin to blend into Daijin’s laughter as he scrambles towards the worm. Perhaps Suzume screams out loud, screaming that she felt as though Tamaki had never believed in her, that even when an entire city is threatened, Tamaki cares only about herself, and knows only how to chastise and suffocate Suzume. This shocks Tamaki, but before she can respond, the trio are shot up to the worm’s back, and Souta attempts to seal the worm. However, Daijin interferes and Souta is injured. Suzume then tries to grab Daijin, only for Daijin to purr contentedly and state that he understands what Suzume is feeling—that is why Tamaki will now be the keystone, and both of them can be free.
Suzume turns to Tamaki, only to find that she is unresponsive. Ice is forming around her, as Suzume’s words echo over and over in her mind. Perhaps Tamaki then screams in grief as she sinks deeper into her regret and memories of her sister—that is when we get her screams about how much she had sacrificed for Suzume, and how much happiness Suzume took from her (basically what she said during the rest stop confrontation).
(pt 1 end)
#suzume#suzume film#suzume no tojimari#tamaki#souta munakata#daijin#this movie was spectacular visually and in its theming but i think it really should have focused on suzume and tamaki#souta is fine as a standalone character but he really felt out of place in the movie#like an addition to what should have been a movie about suzume's growth

Major Gale romance SPOILERS below, so please DO NOT read and watch if you don't want to get spoiled.
I was REALLY worried about how romance with Gale would go, especially after talking to him right after he gets Karsas' book. My Tav wanted to believe and trust him, but something didn't feel right. At the end of Act II, when Tav tries to convince him not blow himself up for his ex's forgivness/to save Faerûn, it can be summed up with that one gif from Grey's Anatomy: "So pick me. Choose me. Love me" 🤡. Honestly, she asks not only to choose her, but also not to kill her and the rest of the team. Gale is so easily swayed and tells Tav that he loves her, even more than Mystra. Tav should be happy, right? But I'm like WAIT A DAMN MINUTE, it was faaar too easy, I mean, no protests from him, I didn't even have to use persuasion to convince him. At that point, after the trauma that Bioware had caused us with Anders and Solas, I'm getting paranoid. Gale doesn't love Tav, he's definitely hiding something. But I'm thinking to myself, "Okay, calm down, he just doesn't want to die, super understable. Maybe he really loves her and he needed to hear it? He needed reassurance that he has something to live for? Yes, it must be it". But then I go to the quest journal and see this:
DAMMIT GALE, you snake 🐍 My poor baby Tav (especially since the romance scene in Waterdeep was so warm and tender). She's so in love in him. Now I'm convinced that he will definetly betrey us, stubs us right in the heart.
At the beginning of Act III, he becomes obsessed with a book called The Annals of Karsus that may help him learn more about the crown. He becomes obsessed with how powerful he can become. When Tav gives him the book and says, "We already know the crown's dangerougs. Wouldn't that make things worse?" he replies:
"Worse? It could be the best thing that ever happened to me. To us."
After all this, Gale tries to convince Tav to help him reconstruct the crown. We have this beautiful scene on the boat and when I tell you my jaw dropped. HE CHOOSES TAV, listens to her concerns and simply chooses her.
The way he says it, the way he corrects himself… damn. For Tav, it's like a bucket of cold water. And I'm like, "Here we go again" 🤡
Furthermore, when we visit the Stormshore Tabernacle in Baldur's Gate and interact with Mystra's statue, he seems to feel so uncomfortable, he doesn't want to be there. Tav starts to think he's definitely hiding something. She would like to hear Mystra's version of what happened between her and Gale (I hope we can talk to her at some point in the game, it would be very interesting).
My Tav, however, disagreed, and Gale replies, "I hope you're right. I truly do. Godly power, perhaps I can live without, but you? You're everything". Has the curse of dating mages that leave players heartbroken been broken?
But I have to admit, when he said: "With you, I forget my goddess. I love you. Tell me you feel the same way. Tell me you want what I want. Please" - OH GODS 😳. I was so close to agreeing to this madness. The VA did an amazing job (side note: so many talented VAs in this game, it's mind blowing), the writing is amazing, the music is incredible, I was blown away, really.
Next day, after the boat scene, he's so adorable and full of love for Tav. Then I remembered his gratest flaw (for me it's more like his biggest fear) from the scene with Zethino in the circus: "He thinks he, and the world, might be better off if he were dead". At the time I thought he was lying, manipulating Zethino and his answers. My distrust of mages in games… Yes, I have a problem 😅
I haven't finished the game, but I have high hopes for a happy ending. No spoilers please, thanks :)
What a rollecoster of emotions, I love it, I love Gale. It felt like I was playing Dragon Age: Origins for the first time, way back when I was a teenager. It's really insane how this game makes me feel, how much I care about its characters and story.
EDIT: Okay, so we have an audience with Mystra, I mean only Gale, but we see the whole conversation between them. My only complain is that Gale doesn't mention Tav when Mystra asks him why he defied her 💔 The outcomes are different depending on whether you do it before or after the boat scene. Personally, I think doing the boat scene before meeting Mystra is much better. I get the impression that Gale is abandoning the plan to reconstruct the crown solely for Tav and his love for her. And the drama 👌🏻 it gives me life.
#sorry for the wall of text#ignore my rambling#the thing is i'm very excited and none of my friends play bg3 and my husband can't listen to me anymore 🤭#baldur's gate 3#bg3#baldur's gate 3 spoilers#bg3 spoilers#Gale#gale of waterdeep#gale romance#might delete later#Tav#gale bg3

“Jo is one of the most exceptional writers I’ve ever encountered. Not only is she a brilliant storyteller, but she’s also a remarkable person and artist. Every story she writes is a masterclass in character development, filled with compelling plots, amazing dialogue, and imagination. Her work never fails to move me, and it’s a true privilege to experience her unique take on the human experience.”
“one thing i personally have noticed when reading jo's work, besides the obvious talent and craft and care, is specifically the characters she creates. i truly do think that so much thought must come into fleshing out these characters SO beautifully? jo doesn't seem to shy away from placing flaws in her characters, and instead, she embraces them and creates so many layered complexities within each and every character that i often forget that these are not real people. they feel relatable, honest and raw.”
“Wonderful worldbuilding and story telling! Thank you for amazing stories!”
“Jo’s writing is so good it physically hurts to read sometimes — more often than not, I’ve come out of a fic with tears running down my face, snot nosed, and shook to my core. I love how she has the ability to make you feel so deeply with her words. Every story feels like a punch to the gut in such a good way. I love being a reader because of writers like Jo!”

“Tara writes actual poetry. All of her pieces remind you why it's great to be alive. She's one of those fic writers that leaves you breathless, particularly because you simply cannot believe somebody, out of the goodness of their heart, for their own interest or their friends', is publishing these literal masterpieces for free. Her work is lyrical, and the consistency of which she is capable of releasing such gorgeous pieces is genuinely just so awe-inspiring. Tara is one of SVTBLR's all time greats.”

“Jade's works are so true to the heart but also SO relatable and funny. Their characterization is always superb. They're also a top-tier person and a delight to speak to.”
“Jade is one of the most exceptional writers I’ve ever come across. Their writing crackles with wit, sharp dialogue, and punchy, unforgettable characters. Every story feels alive with energy and personality, and it’s a joy to dive into their voice. I am constantly wishing I could bottle up Jade's voice when writing and apply it to my own, but they genuinely have such a unique, inimitable brand.”
“jade has a witty sense to their writing that is so distinctly them. but at the same time i think there is so so much to be sad for the way they write angst (lacuna. need i say more!!!), in a way that is emotionally devastating in the best way possible. they have an incredible ability to make you feel every bit of pain and vulnerability but balance just enough hope and complexity to keep you hooked. basically jade's writing can break your heart, and did with lacuna, but they did it with such skill and care that i can't help but thank them”

“skye has an incredible ability to write stories that feel warm. her stories are so very sweet, and the narratives leave you with a lingering, gentle kind of warmth. it’s the kind of writing that cheers you up on a bad day, and fills you with something fluffy from the inside out.”
