Hear me out...a circus but the performers aren't human. The Ringmaster is a vampire, the clowns are demons, the strongman is a werewolf, the tightrope walker is a fairy, the animals can talk, the trapeze artist is a dragon, the magician is a minotaur, the juggler is an orc, etc.

There's a faerie chained up in your boss's house. He took you there once, for a company party, and he showed it off to everyone. It was the size of a human, looked kind of like a human, but there was something different about it's eyes. It's a rare artifact, most of it's kind had been lost to the empires of humanity a long time ago, and he claimed there was nowhere safer for a creature such as that then with a human.

He could use it of course. A creature like that could help create magical things for him, soon enough it could even be a product. And sometimes he'd take it out, and make it sing for him, in a pretty little dress, and everyone always clapped, its voice wasn't like a human's, wasn't like anything from this age.

You know your company uses magic a lot. You know most of the security guards are werewolves, they ripped apart somebody sleeping on a bench outside your office once. The company uses demons and vampires as consultants sometimes too, and you're sure there's some working there. They even say in the sweatshops your company runs across seas they use necromancers so that they workers can keep working after they die.

Your boss has been talking about his faerie more and more recently. He has plans for fae magic based technology that everyone in software says is impossible. And he shows himself with his faerie all the time, talks about how it's the future, his future. And meanwhile it looks more and more upset, and more and more uncomfortable, especially as he touches it more and more.

You came into work one day to hear that your boss was to dead. He died in his basement of all places. They say his entire body was turned to wood, his expression in constant pain as he sits there. And his faerie is nowhere to be seen.

I wrote a book and now I'm trying to advertise for it.

It's an action-adventure, slice-of-life, high-school drama.

In a timeline where all the myths of humanity are true and more, humans live aside the oddness of "Other Beings". A Coexistence that brings forth all the results of clashing populations, both good and bad. Those who are born neither fully other nor fully mundane are collectively called "Demi-Human", and just like their mundane counterparts, demi-human teenagers have to go through the trails of high school and all the teenage politics that entails. This collection of stories covers Class J of West Progress High's Freshmen Year. A rather odd bunch of students, even by demi-human standards, though they don't know that yet.

Even the mightiest of warriors were once children, and all children eventually grow into teenagers. Here are a few stories of a few more than mere mortal teenagers as they go through the trials of high school.

Person A is a religious figure who puts blessings on children to protect them from demons, fairies, and other such supernatural entities, but the blessings have to be reapplied yearly. Person A, despite being a religious figure, spends time at a supernatural bar and will often suggest children for the different entities they have become friends with over the years to steal - because Person A knows the entities will be better parents than their human parents are. But to keep the parents unsuspecting, Person A still blesses the children who are being mistreated but does the blessing subtly wrong so it won’t work, and marks the child in some way with their powers to alert the supernatural entities to take them away from their parents. Person B is a child who was saved through Person A’s efforts and has become a supernatural being themself, and decides to go visit Person A and put themself on the list of ‘potential supernatural adopters’ that their supernatural caregiver told them Person A keeps.
