I too think Jack having self hating tendencies would be a goog motivation for cas to reevaluate his own self loathing

its, you hate yourself and now you have a kid and you still hate youeself but you love your child and want the world for them but you forget that you are their world

for cas most of his reations were one way,he never recived, his relationship with jack too was being a protector and provider

anyway I have been agonising over castiel's healing arc and I feel like cas is aware of his self destructive tendecies but if you feel like even after fighting to get to the surface, you will only find yoursrlf alone in midest of the ocean then not doing anything is pretty tempting

so I feel like cas need to be called out about it but I think cas will be rather hostile in that scenario and just sass his way out of it though he will ponder over it later

but with Jack I don't think he will confron Cas, I think jack will ask and cas will tell. still I feel like getting there won't be easy because I don't think that jack being God isn't something that sits quite right with cas and yes cas is proud of him but he wanted jack to be safe and happy and not have any kind of burden So when the conversation ultimately happens it will hurt but I also think someone(kelly) will need to drag them down to have that conversation because jack can see that cas is hurt and he wants to do something but he also doesn't want to cause anymore harm and cas never wants jack to feel the burnt of his feelings. it a whole lot of mess

I sincerely hope every artist gets to have the experience of falling in love with their art someday. even if you have to fight for it. i think we all deserve to look at the result of our creativity all giddy and go holy shit, I loved making this! I love the lines I put down and the colors I used and the indulgences I’ve taken. I love seeing things I liked and taking it for my own, pushing and molding and playing. I can’t wait to do it again
