NIGHTMARE:

It isn't the first time he finds himself in this kind of predicament.. and it certainly isn't the last one either.

You can't help but stare down at him in slight concern, yes, that is the Nightmare you're concerned about, but still- he was acting very uncharacteristic. He was just staring at your chest area, almost frozen in spot... "Night? Dear..?" He didn't respond to your voice immediately, gaze still glue to your chest. "Are you feeling ok?" His gaze finally snapped to your face instead, as he blinked a several times. "Sometimes, I wonder if you rile me up on purpose..." He finally slurred out as he coughed a few times, clearing his throat.

You wore a tight fitting dress, that hug your curves perfectly. (I'm leaving the dress completely to your own imagination, except for the tight part! ^^) Maybe, you were wearing this on purpose, but you weren't gonna reveal that. You had quite the fun doing this to Nightmare, he looked like he had a hard time composing himself.

All you did next, was simply leave. Leaving him with his new problem. You flash him a smirk before finally going to your shared room. So that's how it is, well if that's the case, he'll have to go make a punishment for you.

KILLER:

"Kills..." Nothing.

"Kiiillls!" Not even a budge.

"GODDAMMIT KILLER!" Ah, finally. He seemed to snap out of his gaze at your boobs. He stared at you wide eyed, as he wiped his mouth from any drool. Yes, that's right, he tends to drool during his stares..

You were wrapped in your towel, holding a pair of pants and a shirt. You've just gotten out of the shower, and Killer decided to go in the bathroom at this moment. It's like he has a radar for this..

You can't help but shake your head at him. "You're always so frozen on the spot during your unmoving gaze at my chest." Killer smirked at your remark, as he grasped your hip. "But you like it...right?" Of course you do.. how can you ever deny him when he gives you his pouting look?

"Don't give me that... I was about to get dressed!" You try to avoid his question, as you remembered that you're still unclothed. Killer's smirk has just gotten wider, if it's even possible. Oh no...looks like this'll be a long night... There goes your relaxation!

"You're so beautiful..." You can't help but flush at Dust's compliment, as you avert your gaze away from him.

You've just met up with Dust for a date. You're wearing a black dress, while Dust's wearing a tuxedo. How noble.

You giggle a little when you notice how he's trying to refrain from staring at your chest area. He's so considerate.

"S-Something funny, sweetie?" You awe at his nickname, and hold his hand. "You're just so cute... You know, if you want... You can stare." You lean in to whisper the last part to him, ending it with a simple wink. His cheeks flushed purple, as he let out a shuddered sigh

Dust seemed to melt at your consent, almost as if he's been craving it. "Thank you, sweetie, you have no idea how difficult it was..." You giggle yet again, squeezing his hand slightly.

HORROR:

Horror beams at you, as you make your way over to him. "What's up bee?" He let out a short laugh at your nickname. He then points to an apron, also motioning to his own, wrapped around him. "You want to cook together?" He excitedly nods, holding a spatula in his hand. "Why not?"

You try to stiffle a giggle when he reaches over to you and holds you up. You'd say you're pretty tall... So you always get baffled when you see Horror's height. There's probably no one, other than the people in his AU, that can rival his height. Everyone probably looks like bugs to him.

"Hey, bee?" He hums, while chopping the meat. "What's the secret to your height?" His movements stopped, as he looked over at you, seemingly confused. "Well...I mean- compared to you, I'm pretty short, and that's saying something, so-" he's so quick that you almost jump when he's suddenly in front of you, holding your cheeks. "...Pretty tall..."are the only words that leaves his mouth, before giving you a kiss.

He skips away happily to the counter, while you sit there, cheeks flared up red, and out of words.

"Is that pudding?" Osamu asks, pointing at the moist container in your hands. It is, indeed, pudding. Not just any pudding, not pudding that's bought in the store, or something your parents made, It is your pudding, chocolate pudding. In the past weeks, you have been obsessively trying your hand in making some for yourself, mostly to stave off the summer heat. After many attempts, this was the best one. For a split second, you hesitated answering him, not wanting to share your hard earned work. Then, the thought of wow-ing Osamu with your new found specialty dessert pops up. 

"Yeah, I made it. You want some?" You offer it to him. He stares at it, undecided and unimpressed.

"I dunno... it looks kinda bad."

"Oh c'mon! Since when did you pass the offering of free food?" you argue, scooping a spoon of the pudding and holding it up for Osamu. He suspiciously looks at you, more to just get an annoyed reaction. The spoon is taken from your hand and he slides it in his mouth. Once the spoon is gone, his jaw moves in a steady motion. Eyes close, focusing on the tastes. A small smile creeps on each corner of his mouth.

“See? I made good pudding.” 

"Free food? More like a free sample if you're just gonna let me have one spoon." he digs the spoon into the pudding. Now, you are annoyed, "just a second ago you basically called it weird looking."

"And I'm coming back for another bite. Take it as a compliment."

You roll your eyes. "Fine, you can have more, here."

He also holds of the container of pudding, not tugging it away from you, taking one spoon after another. It's the first time you let Osamu eat anything you made and you are very, very glad that he likes it. Happy as you are, the pudding is already half empty and you've barely dug in yourself. Osamu is using your spoon after all.

"Hurry up! I wanna eat"

A muffled sound of reluctant agreement slips out of hus mouth, but he takes another spoonful before he returns it to you.

“Got anymore?”

“Last one. Sorry”

Osamu frowns as he watches you eat, like a child denied a cone of ice cream. It's clear that he'll be waiting for you to get enough then get some more again. You couldn't laugh properly, only chuckling with your mouth stuffed and closed. “Next time, when I make one I’ll save some for you.”

"Yeah?"

"Sure, why not?"

As you spend more time experimenting and trying new recipes of desserts, you keep coming back to the chocolate pudding, youre practically perfecting it. Osamu always wants some when you tell him. A tupperware of pudding would be saved for him and you'd give it to him. He'd return it by the end of the week. The fastest was the day after you gave it to him. You often wondered if he even shares it with Atsumu and you hoped he did. Nothing wrong with someone else enjoying your food. That was until the blond twin ran up to you out of nowhere with furious determination.

 "WHY DIDN'T CHA TELL ME THAT YER GIVING 'SAMU PUDDING??" he asked accusingly. Somewhat offended.

You squint, "wait, doesn't he share with you?"

"NO! He's been hiding it behind other stuff in the–"

"THAT'S 'CAUSE YA ALWAYS STEAL THE STUFF I BUY AND EAT THE FIRST THING YA SEE IN THE REFRIGERATOR!!" Osamu comes running up behind his brother. Roping him into light wrestling.

"THAT'S NOT TRUE," Atsumu claims but his voice falters with each movement.

"LIER!!! STOP BOTHERING HER ‘BOUT THIS!” The fight goes on. It's relatively tame compared to their other fights. You aren’t too worried about anything getting serious. Backing up a little to avoid any elbows and fist coming your way, you patiently wait for the brothers to cool down on their own. 

“YOUR A GREEDY LITTLE SHIT THAT EATS FOOD THAT AIN’T YERS!”

"SAYS THE BASTARD WHO’S BEEN HOGGING AN ENTIRE CONTAINER OF PUDDING ALL TO YERSELF!"

But it seems the two are nowhere stopping from this. There is too much destructive energy emanating from them. You made a gable on your safety by placing a hand on each brother’s shoulder then pushing them apart.

"OKAY! OKAY! THE BOTH OF YOU SHUT UP!" they hesitantly stop, still scowling and sneering at each other with their eyes.

“Would you both quit it if I just made you two then? One for each of you.”

They are silent, more to give the other a cold shoulder than not having an answer. Atsumu pouts, crossing his arms, “sure. But I still can’t believe you were only giving him this entire time.”

“Well, sorry about that.” you said, actually feeling bad about leaving him out of it.

“Don’t. He’s a big pig”

“WHY YA LIL-”

You give them a harsh slap on their shoulders.

On the occasions that the twins know you were making your chocolate pudding, you save two tupperwares for them. It was extra work but if it’ll keep them from complaining, that's extra peace of mind in your life. You are quite delighted that Atsumu enjoys it too. But, if you aren't assuming too much, Osamu seems to like it more. You aren’t surprised. Twins still have their own separate set of preferences. It's just that Osamu liking it more always makes your chest flutter. It’s embarrassing, you’d rather he not notice when you try to hold back a big smile.

Eventually, you began to grow tired of the sweet dessert and decided to stop for a while. You still loved it, but having too much too often wears off its specialness. It wasn’t really a big deal, that was until Osamu out of nowhere leaned his chin over your shoulder, arms around your waist, and asked, "Hey, when are ya gonna make chocolate pudding again?"

It confuses you, not really considering that he would notice that you’ve stopped. You put some thought into it. Will you make it? Not really in a mood for pudding, although you don’t mind if Osamu is asking. “It's almost winter and you still want some?”

“I mean, can I?” he said, uncharacteristically shy of him. It's kinda cute. But, you're not letting yourself be fooled if this is his way of persuading you. "You're gonna pay for half of the ingredients if you want me to make some.”

In an instant, he straightens up. Swirling you to face him and he looks at you with at most seriousness. “How much?”

You laugh, ruffling up hus gray hair for fun. "Come with me later to buy them. We can sort it out then”

His eyes practically glowed at your answers. And he does go with you to the market the day after, carrying the basket of ingredients as you pick and choose.

“Do ya really need this much when ya make yer pudding?” 

“Yeah, I’m making it for Atsumu too.” The smile on his face disappears at the mention of his brother. He must really not like sharing his food with Atsumu. But its not like he needs to. After all, they get their own.  He said, much like suggesting a bad idea he knows you'll deny, “Can you, like, not?”

“Don’t be like that. You two will fight again.”

Osamu knows you had a point. Still, he isn’t on board with it, glaring at the floor. The part of your heart that has a soft spot for the mellower twin weavers. “How about this, you get more cream on top than him. Sounds good?”

“Yeah?” 

“Yeah, I can do that. It will cost you more though”

His arm wraps around your shoulder as you two walk through the milk aisle together, holding the basket on the other hand. “Fine by me.”

For the next few years, your chocolate pudding has been in his top 20 in the desserts category, which means a lot since the guy can't seem to choose a single favorite food if anyone were to ask him. When the opportunity opens itself, he asks you to make some. Despite your differing schedules, very often, if not all the time, you do follow through. When you can't, he gets sad, which is adorable of him.

So, it's practically a given whenever you visit, there's a chance you have some with you. However, not once has he ever questioned why you do it without asking anything in exchange. The answer is always that it's not like it's an official service of yours. It was enough that he paid more than half the price. Plus, he is your friend, nothing wrong with doing favors for a friend. Though all of that is true, you just like how happy and satisfied he is with your pudding every time he takes a bite. And, well, you just really like Osamu and spending time with him.

This time around, the occasion is MSBY Jackals having a match in Hyogo. In celebration that Atsumu is in town, the team will have dinner in Onigiri Miya. At Atsumu’s request, you bring your chocolate pudding and he’s paying for it. Lucky for him, you are free that week. Osamu, on the other hand, took the chance to ask for more.g

"Could you make me extra pudding too?" He asks while you are on a call with him and it makes you laugh. "You missed my chocolate pudding that much?" 

"It's hard not to miss good food" he states. 

Out right implying that your dessert is one of his many likes is a sentiment you'll hold on to. You endearingly sigh to him through your phone. "Alright. That does mean you'll pay for your portion."

"Alright," he said, satisfied. Static sounds of clanking blurs his voice. "Don't tell 'Tsumu, by the way."

"Sure. But, don't get mad at me if he finds out, though."

"Never had been, have I?"

"That's true."

The celebration comes and by the end of the night the chocolate pudding was as good as gone. A hit among the players. Their captain took three servings, so does Bokuto. When you offer one to their aloof member, Sakusa, it takes a bit of convincing. In the end, he eats some, giving you a mere 'its good', which is a big deal according to Atsumu. Hinata was lucky to get the last serving. You didn't even get a bite of your efforts, so it was a good thing that Osamu requested more. As promised, you didn't tell Atsumu of the extra stash of pudding you and Osamu hid. Once the restaurant closes and Atsumu is long gone with the rest of his team, you and Osamu head back to his place to eat the hidden treasure to end the night..

Fresh from the cool fridge, you both take your own servings of the chocolatey treat. Osamu is as happy as ever with each spoon of pudding he places in his mouth.

"didn't you eat a lot of this already? I'm surprised you could stuff yourself more with that," you point your spoon to him.

"Nothing wrong with extra dessert"

"You sure you won't get your stomach hurting?"

He laughs, a low rumble on his chest. "What am I, a kid?" Osamu doesn't give you the chance to answer, shifting his attention to the dessert at his hands, reveling at its taste. 

"I might just kiss you for how good these puddings always are."

"Haha, sure," you say. Not fully registering what he just said, what you just said. Once it settles in, your skin spikes up into a panic, doing your best to not look at him and shoving a spoon in your mouth. Why did you say that? Why did he say that? That was definitely a joke.

"For real? I can?" He asks, clear and genuine.

The sirens are wailing at you to 'play it cool'. It's just a teeny-tiny kiss. You've had friends kiss your cheeks before. Osamu won't be any different. You may like him but he is still your friend too.

"Yeeeeeeahhh. Suuuuuuure," voice slightly stilted, waving a hand to downplay the situation. Just you merely entertaining the notion. In the grand tapestry that is your friendship, it's just a small thing that won't cause an unraveling. You close your eyes. No way you are looking at him. Placing a finger over your cheek, you say, "right over he-"

Osamu pecks you right on the lips. Your body stiffen up. The stickiness of the small bit of cream lingers. Without much of a big reaction from him, he says "Thank you for the pudding" and returns to focus on staring down on the pudding to scoop another spoonful.

"wah- why'd you do that" you ask, breathless from a single peck that barely lasted a second.

"Ya said I can, didn't ya?"

"ye. YEAH. BUT-" you're at a loss for words. everything is mixing up at a blender's speed. Confusion. Giddiness. Flabbergasted. Embarrassment. And you're quaking like a blender too. The only thing that's keeping you from losing sanity is Osamu's slowly blushing cheeks, proof that he is affected by it too. How is he so nonchalant about this, though? You place the serving of pudding over the kitchen table to save it from your slipping grip.

Taking another spoon of pudding in his mouth. He hums the way he always does when he likes the food he is eating. You could only stare, still confused. "This is so good," his words slightly garbled. Osamu turns to you, assessing your expression. Then, he dives back to kiss again before you can do anything. Just as quick as the first, like he is testing your lips. The softness of his gesture somewhat tickles you. “Really good.”

“Hey!” you try to catch his attention. “Why’d you– how are you–” words come out as blubbering and disjointed. Face heating up with each tumble your tongue takes. You don’t understand how unfazed he is right now, having just kissed you twice. Is it not a big deal to him? Is he toying with you? The initial startling fades as your mind ponders the sad possibility. Osamu is quick to notice your silence, setting his pudding down beside yours.

 “Oh, are ya mad?” He said with sincere concern, bumping his arms to you as a means to comfort. What exactly do you say to him? Should you get mad? You sigh, 

“I’m– It’s because– Are you just messing with me, Osamu?”

“A lil bit.” he admits, though not seeing it as big of a crime as you do.  

“It's just ‘cause ya said I can, so I…” He strays, placing his rough hand at the swell of your cheek, bringing you to face him. You can see that he’s searching for his words too. Thumb brushing you with a new warmth he has never done before. “And I’ve really wanted to do that for a while now.”

Not able to wrap your head around his confession, doubt lumped up in your voice, you ask “you have?”

Osamu removes his hand away from your cheek. Straightening himself up to face you. He takes your hand, cupping it between both of his own, as if giving you a secret you can’t see just yet. Gentleness in his eyes with a tender smile. He shares his truth. "I like ya for a long while now.”

It's a sweet and honest truth. It all bubbles up into you breathily laughing, leaning your head on his shoulder as he keeps you balanced. The scent of rice still clings to his black uniform. He hums along with you.

You say, "couldn't you have said that first?"

"uh," he laughs softly. "Sorry. Guess I got too excited." The tension in the kitchen dissipates with each laugh. Osamu takes your pudding from the table, scooping in it with his spoon. You are still at the height of his confession to point out that it's your pudding he is about to eat from. He raised the spoon to your mouth.

"Eat up. to calm ya nerves a bit."

You can only oblige. The sweetness is soothing, cleansing away any remaining nervousness you had. Osamu is careful to slide it off your lips before digging it in your pudding again.

“Atta girl,” he purrs, brushing your hair behind your ear as you slowly chew. It's new, this kind of affection coming from him, but you welcome it nonetheless.

You have something to say before he leans in again. "WAI-" is all you could muster as his lips are on yours for the third time, a little longer, a lot firmer. Fingers on your chin. He eases you into a slow kiss. Three kisses and an indirect one. He really is taking his shots.

When you pull away, you lightly burst out “seriously??” 

Osamu chuckles, pulling away to take both puddings on each hand and handing yours to you. “Sorry, you taste good too,” he said. This time placing a peck on your cheek. 

"C'mon, finish it up before it melts."

The two of you eat together in comfortable silence. A new feeling lingers in the air. A sense of rose tranquility. You could get used to this.

“So,” you start, taking another bite. “What do we do now?” Osamu inches closer to your side, enjoying this new kind of company from you.

“Am I yours?”

You pretend to ponder, just to draw out your answer.

“I guess so.”

“Is that a yes?”

You take your chance to place a kiss on his cheek. This time, He’s the one caught off guard, smiling at you as he wipes the small bit of stickiness off. 

“Yeah,” you said. 

Wrapping an arm around your waist, Osamu places a hand on your hip to pull you closer to him. 

“Stay over for tonight, why don’t ya?”

-- Do you like trashy reality shows? Good for you. Cove's not really into it, but he'll watch with you if you want him to. Derek can definitely have some fun with it. But Baxter turns into a monster.

MC answering their phone: Hey, what's up?

Baxter: DID YOU SEE, *this person* from *this show* got arrested.

MC: Aren't you supposed to be working?

Baxter: I saved the mug shot to my photos, I am sending it to you via text right now.

(Client in the background complaining)

Baxter: I do have to get off the phone now, but if you hear anything else call the office and tell them it's an emergency, they'll put you through to me.

-- If you go the Derek romance route, I think you make out once in high school. Because hormones, you've crushed on each other for years, and like it just happens. And then after he's very unwell, he keeps apologizing, and either your really shy and nervous about it or like "no it's ok, that was nice," but either way he's like "HAVE TO GO, TTYL." He doesn't talk to you for a little bit but then feels bad.

MC: Derek, I like you in a romantic way. I want you to be my boyfriend. I liked kissing you and I want to kiss you again.

Derek: Haha that was crazy, so how's school going?

-- Derek is good with cars. Big muscles make car go vroom.

Like there would have been a time when you got a flat tire and you either didn't know how to change it or blanked on what Cliff told you (Cliff taught you how to change a tire, no questions) and called him like "help" and he dropped everything and drove to wherever you were to change it for you.

-- He's also good with mechanical fixes, and just with his hands in general. Is your sink messed up? Call Derek. Some issue with your stove? Call Derek. Creaky door? You already know. (You have to do stuff for him too though, that's the rules).

-- Back to Cliff though, you know those videos of men like "I'm going to teach you some dad stuff" for people who grew up without dads? That's Cliff. Obviously your moms are amazing, but Daddy Cliff is going to step in too sometimes.

-- Cliff teaching MC how to tie a tie, just imagine.

-- Baxter goes home alone after Miranda's birthday party/the second party for him and finishes off that bottle of champagne because he knows that summer's almost over and he's going to do A Bad Thing and he hates himself.

-- Honestly it hurt my feelings so much at the end of Step 3 lol, like I was genuinely taken aback by his goodbye scene. Asking MC why they'd keep talking when he couldn't give them rides anymore like that's all they were interested in, the audacity.

-- Cove has the whole game, he's gonna be ok, we're talking about other people this time.

-- In adulthood, MC looks back at that time they learned their birth parents died when they were a baby, had a quick breakdown then went back home and did a musical performance for their family as one of the cringiest moments of their life (I'm not using second person this time because I don't want to sound judgey but LOL come on). They'll tell Derek about it later on when they're together and he'll be like "aww, that sounds sweet," and Baxter will be nice about it too, but he'll also have some comments to make.

Baxter: Darling, my plant at the office seems to be dying, could you perhaps do a song and dance number to ease my pain?

MC: Shut uuuuuup.

-- Last week gb patch made a post on Patreon with a new sketch for OLNF with wedding planner Baxter, so like the oldest Baxter we'll see in cannon, and he was wearing a cream turtleneck, a purple overcoat, and what looked to me to be a peach colored gingham suit. So by the time he gets to be like 40, his fashion sense is going to be off the rails. He's going to call you and be like "I just went shopping, I hope you like my new look," and come home like:

Guy Gardner: Green Lantern!

Finally finished my redesign and ref sheet for this guy !!

I'm leaving the PL design cuz it slaps and also it's funny and I wanna make it canon that he got that ring at some point and had to deal with that for awhile. (he made it work. had fun)

he had an experience once with a red ring and he hated every minute of it. he's always running from it.

Anyways, he gives me cowboy and punk vibes.

Had a terrible upbringing, was not the favored child, often told he was a disgrace and compared often to his brother, really messed with his mental health and self perception.

Rebelled a lot in spite of his father. mother did nothing to help him, only one good point in high eyes is that at least she didn't hurt him. He doesn't have a great relationship with his family and has a bit of loathing towards his brother He has since become estranged from his family by choice.

Further rebellion lead to him living a more punk life, going against his father, a cop. He's living how he feels comfortable and free without the expectations from his family. Anything that would get a rise out of his dad? Oh, he's gonna do it. He's grown out of it, but sometimes the habits die hard Hard to give up, hard to move on.

Guy struggled to keep a job for years, finding and taking whatever he could. The last job he had before he was found by Abin Sur's ring was as a teacher for a local school. He was about to be fired and needed a new job anyway. He was happy to take it and escape his earth life for a little while. A further rebellion against his family, he'll claim, but really it was an escape from his miserable life at the time.

As a result of his constant search for a job, he's gained a lot of experience and knowledge with a wide array of things, such as swimming, coaching, cooking, mechanics, engineering, mending, dancing-- He's not a professional at any of these, he's quite rusty with some of them, but he's still very capable if these skills are ever needed.

With the ring, Guy finally found a job that he was good at, successful. It was one he didn't fumble catastrophically. He loves the GL corps and will do whatever he can to keep it, it's a place he feels accepted and liked. even if his personality and attitude may be a little hard to digest and tolerate for some. He's very passionate and cares a lot despite how stubborn and brash he may act.

The GL corps is really all Guy has. He puts a lot of his devotion into it. it's the only consistently positive things in his life. It's the one thing he would never run from. He would honestly defend the corps with his life, taking the oath to heart. His word is his bond and he values it.

Often gets into fights, is usually the one who starts it whether he intended to or not. He does finish them, at least.... well. If possible, he tries to. Albeit.. not in the best of ways. He still has a lot to learn.

Guy overcompensates his fears and worries, his anxieties with an overconfident and boastful, loud and abrasive attitude. His more vulnerable side is one that less than 5 people have ever seen and know of. He'd rather people see him as a dirtbag than as any less than a man. His dad instilled a lot of negativity towards himself from a young age. Feeling inferior. Anything goes wrong? Guy is bottling that up and taking it out on training dummies and letting it out in his room with a drink or two.

So I haven't read acotar (well a little bit but it didn't hook me) but I've been reading your posts about the upcoming book and I'm so curious, I don't know these characters but the second hand gossip is fun and I'm rooting for them lol when does the book come out? when will it be announced who the protagonists are?

The thing is it's OBVIOUS it's going to be Elain. She has even said in this interview x at 25:00. I don't know why people genuinely think GWYN is going to be the next book 🫠. Her purpose was to help Nesta. Outside of that, there is not much left to tell of her story. It's done. TBH, I completely forgot she even existed after I finished reading ACOSF. Like I kept seeing posts about her on my insta discover, and I was like who tf is Gwyn? 💀

Also just... ELAIN IS THE THIRD ARCHERON SISTER. How can it NOT be about her when Feyre had the first three and then Nesta had the fourth? Like it's so painfully obvious. Anyone who thinks otherwise is just delusional.

Even if it's not Elain and it happens to be Mor, it's NOT going to be Gwyn before Elain LMFAO.

But this is why I think it's going to be Elriel and not Elucien.

Firstly, Koschei the Deathless. The story follows Ivan marries his THREE SISTERS to THREE WIZARDS.

Ivan saw his three sisters wed to the first suitors who came across them—wizards in the form of birds.

Hmmm THREE SISTERS. BIRDS >>>> BATS. 👀

Eventually Ivan goes on to defeat Koschei with the help of his sisters and their husbands.

And then we have another Koschei retelling. The FOX and the FIREBIRD. Listen Sarah was not subtle with the names. Vasalisa >> Vassa. Lucien had a fox mask in ACOTAR, making him the obvious fox. You can read more on it here but I'm going to do a quick summary.

A king has a garden that produces one gold apple a day, but it was stolen every night. He promised half his kingdom to whichever son could catch the thief. He has three sons, and they all tried to catch it. The third son saw the firebird and shot at it, and hit the bird in the wing, but it escaped and left behind a golden feather. The king wants the fire bird and promises whoever brings the fire bird alive would get half the kingdom and be the heir. So they all go out to find the Fire Bird, and they all encounter a Red Fox.

The fox approaches each prince, and asks for something to eat, but the first two shoot at it. The third prince shares his food. So the Red Fox takes him to the palace where the fire bird is and tells him how to grab the fire bird by putting it in the wooden cage, not the golden. Well, the prince says how can a lovely bird be in a wooden cage and proceeds to put it back in the golden, but then basically sounds an alarm and he gets arrested. The King tells him to bring him back a golden man.

The fox says he'll help the prince, but of course the prince is a dumbass and goes I'm gonna choose the pretty one instead of the one the fox told me to choose and he gets arrested and this king says bring back Princess Goldilocks from the Golden Palace in the Black Sea.

Anyways it goes on and the third brother is betrayed by his other two, and the fox brings him back to life. In the end he gets the kingdom, the firebird, Goldilocks, etc. The fox is very instrumental in this story.

SPOILERS AHEAD IF YOU HAVEN'T READ ALL OF ACOTAR

We have hints that Lucien and Vassa are very close. They talk to each other. Plus they live together along with Jurian.

Plus if it was going to be Elucien there would be hints that Elain even had romantic feelings for him. Even a little attraction. She doesn't. She literally stares at a boiling tea kettle until he leaves because she doesn't want to spend any time with him.

She wants nothing to do with him. And yes sure she says she doesn't want a male, but remember that she is still dealing with the traumatic events of being forced into the cauldron and being changed.

This though, happens a year later with Azriel...

Imagine seeing this in the most recent book, and thinking they're like siblings. Sounds like the antis have some sort of incesty weird freaky ass sibling relationships. 😬

This also happens in the book, which I believe is during the same time? But Az's was a bonus chapter and this was available to everyone.

Elain is not herself around Lucien. I don't understand how anyone can see their relationship and think that's going to be endgame. This was the most recent book.

Even before ACOSF, Nesta and Cassian had this in the previous book that alluded to their romance.

But there is absolutely nothing to allude to any sort of Elucien romance. Elain wants NOTHING to do with Lucien. And honestly, I don't blame her. Who would? He was a part of the most traumatic thing that ever happened to her.

I'll never understand Elucien shippers. If you like Lucien, why would you ship him with someone who wants nothing to do with him? If you like Elain why would you ship her with someone she wants nothing to do with?

I'm 10000000% convinced the Elucien shippers are just Gwynriels who ship them so they can have their ship justified, but most of their evidence is just their headcanons, and them not being able to read between the lines and interpreting things very wrong.

Comparison between Shadow of the Colossus and Dororo

I've been a Dororo fan for years now and I just recently played Team Ico's games for the first time. So, here I'll try to list things that Shadow of the Colossus and Dororo have in common. My theory is that Fumito Ueda was inspired by Osamu Tezuka's work and, vice versa, Ueda's works inspired the 2019 anime adaptation of Dororo. Now, if this was common knowledge, then my bad! If that's not the case, these will be just lots of comparisons. Spoilers ahead!

First of all, both Wander and Hyakkimaru have a goal, and they are determined to reach it, no matter what. Wander wants to bring Mono back to life, while Hyakkimaru wants to collect his bodyparts, that were taken by evil spirits at birth due to a contract his father made to gain power. The demons in Dororo are 48, which is the number of Colossi Ueda initially planned to have in his game.

Now, we know that within the colossi lie severed segments of Dormin's body. As Hyakkimaru defeats a demon, he collects a body part back. So, both the fiends in Dororo and the Colossi in Shadow of the Colossus hold a piece of body. But while in Dororo once these creatures are slayed the body part goes back to its original owner, in Shadow of the Colossus Wander is the vessel of Dormin's body, which is collected through those dark trails that pierce him after each battle.

At the beginning of Dororo's original manga from 1967, Lord Daigo, Hyakkimaru's dad, enters a shrine and finds various devil statues. Here, he makes a contract with the evil spirits, the 48 devil gods. He seeks power, but the price to pay is the body of his own child. Doesn't that sound familiar? Wander also enters a shrine adorned with various idols, where he asks Dormin, the being that controls the souls of the dead, for Mono to be revived. But Dormin warns him that the price he'll pay would be heavy. Both the evil gods and Dormin, while promising what the human desires, ask for something important in return. They are also kind of making fun of the mortals for their requests.

I'd also like to add that, as the Dororo manga continues and picks up with Hyakkimaru now being 14 years old, his lover, Mio, is already dead. We just see her through flashbacks, as the boy tells his story to Dororo. We don't know what's the relationship between Mono and Wander, but it's clear that he deeply cares about her, either as a lover, friend or sister.

(While I'm not sure if this is a fan speculation or not, wasn't an alternative ending gonna feature Mono come back to life but blind, and she would've slowly regained her eyesight? If this was an actual scrapped ending, it would literally reference a core theme in Hyakkimaru's journey).

As for the rest, the two stories are completely different, but the beginning is pretty similar, at least in my opinion. I feel like Ueda could've been influenced by Osamu Tezuka's work. Back in 2019 a Dororo anime remake aired, a retelling of the story. Just like all the other Dororo adaptations, a lot of things were changed from the original manga. The 48 demons were cut to 12, and another major change is the additional grey morality that envelops the entirety of the show. In the original manga, Daigo wanted to be a powerful ruler and gave his son away without regret. Here, he seeks help from the demons to archieve that, yes, but his lands are being destroyed by famines and epidemics. While he has egoistical ambitions, he's also helping its people. As you watch the anime, you start to question: who is right and who is wrong? Who is truly evil here? Which are questions we all asked ourselves while playing Shadow of the Colossus. While you play, you know why you're slaying those Colossi, but you do start to wonder if you're really doing the right thing. They are just giant creatures, some peaceful if not attacked, and are the only inhabitants of the Forbidden Lands. Is Wander the true villain, is it Dormin, or is it Emon? Is there even a true villain at all, or just characters at cross purpouses?

In Dororo, you root for Hyakkimaru, deprived of his own body. But, as he kills more and more demons, the lands are yet again subjected to droughts and floods. And, on his first encounter with Lord Daigo, his father asks him to stop collecting his body for the sake of the lands. The morally grey character of Hyakkimaru, I feel like, could be inspired by Fumito Ueda's work. There's a major difference in the ending though. As Wander's journey makes him loose his humanity, Hyakkimaru's is the opposite. Withing him, he also has bits of evil spirits enbedded into his soul, much like Wander.

But while Hyakkimaru is plagued by doubts, and sometimes lets the demonic part of him loose, he ultimately reaches his goal to be whole again. With the death of all the demons, the natural disasters stop, starting a period of peace. He gets his humanity back, something that Wander only archieves after being reborn.

Also, this is totally just speculation, but the thing about Hyakkimaru's demon slaying causing illnesses and epidemics might be a reference to ICO. In the PS2 manual (at least in the italian one I own) it is stated that the horned children are believed to be cursed, bringing misfortunes to befall the villages. Another thing added to the 2019 anime adaptation of Dororo is the fact that with each evil spirit Hyakkimaru kills, the idol that represents it at the shrine (where Daigo made the contract) breaks. Which is literally what happens in Shadow of the Colossus.

I'd also like to add that Dororo also has a videogame adaptation for the PS2 called Blood will tell, that contains 48 fiends to defeat in order to retrieve Hyakkimaru's body parts. It came out just a year before Shadow of the Colossus did, and it's such a fun game. It has some amazing looking fiends and, fun fact, Blood will tell's japanese cover art is also a beautiful drawing (made by Hiroaki Samura), while the western box art is a 3D rendition of the main character, much like ICO. Though, not as ugly ;)

I can't tell if this game actually influenced Shadow of the Colossus or not, but it's pretty fun to spot the similarities between the two. The final boss, Behemoth, is the biggest out of the 48 fiends, and its fight is divided in various sections. In one of these, you have to stand on Behemoth's hand so that it can bring you close to its face to attack. It reminded me of the Malus fight.

In another section, you have to climb the fiend's back to destroy his weak spots, which are horns with a very familiar blue tint that shoot lightings. This reminded me a lot of Pelagia (but also of Basaran and Quadratus).

And the last section features Behemoth charging at you while it flies, which of course reminded me of the Avion fight.

He gets up too quickly and his vision blacks out? Remus is right there to keep him steady until he can see again and doesn't feel like passing out, even if it's a whole minute.

He's going up stairs and has to take a second afterwards or halfway through because it takes more out of him than the average person? Remus is right there, cracking some joke about something probably wildly inappropriate.

His heart rate is taking x3 the average time to slow and it's making him anxious about having a heart attack (I'm guilty of this)? Remus has got so many fidget toys and apps and distractions so Virgil doesn't work himself into a panic attack over it.

Bro hasn't consumed enough salt? Remus has salt packets in his pocket (he probably steals so many of them from markets and restaurants). Hell, he'll take a salt shot with Virgil, he don't care.

Just entirely personal indulgence on this one: Virgil has to wear a heart monitor for a few weeks for the doctor? Remus learns all the rules and helps him with showering around it (can't get it wet) and he makes sure Virgil does everything correctly. Because Virgil can do it correctly but he can also get anxious. Also Remus wants to see him shirtless, you can't blame him (yes you can)

Anyway Remus would be very very good (like weirdly good) (also just weird) for accommodations. Because he's weird. And if someone else is "weird" in some way, that's his vibe. Also I like writing fluffy stuff of the sillies (and you can't sue me for projection)

Marlon gets it. Also, I think it's hilarious that he calls the sheriff "kid," since I'm guessing the sheriff assumes he's older than Vash. But it seems like the Marlon family has a history with Vash that goes back far enough to know he's not exactly human.

Ominis

aside from Anne, Sebastian, and MC, he isn't comfortable with anyone else touching him because he doesn't trust anyone, so those are the only three people who dare try it

his family only ever touched him to inflict pain, so the first time Anne did it he had no idea what was happening or why it was making him laugh and he freaked out at first

his sense of touch is heightened, so he's ridiculously sensitive to light touches

he'll only really tolerate it in private because he uncontrollably giggles like a little kid and he feels embarrassed when he hears himself laugh like that

he won't actively fight them off unless he gets overstimulated, because he's so touch-starved and he knows this kind of interaction is done out of love

not gonna lie, sometimes he lowkey craves it and will instigate to provoke it... he'd never admit it though

his defense is to curl up in a little ball because since he can't see,q he doesn't want to risk clocking somebody in the face... he may have accidentally on purpose punched Sebastian in the ribs once or twice though

if he's tickled long enough his giggling will get broken up by snorts and it's the cutest shit you've ever heard in your entire life

his worst spots are his sides and light touches on his neck; if you barely touch his neck, he will immediately jam his shoulders up into his ears and squeak

Sebastian

this boy is deathly ticklish EVERYWHERE

because of that, he will put up a hell of a fight but will tire out quickly

his hips and above his knees are his worst spots and he will scream and go into maniacal cackles if you get him there

if you get him in public, he will resort to growling to try to cover up his laughter... got that tough guy reputation to maintain you know

he will be unintentionally violent and flail, so if you're brave enough to attack him you'd better know how to dodge and weave or you're gonna get chickenwinged in the nose

he'll try to fight it and repeatedly say he's not ticklish... even in the middle of frantic giggles and high pitched squeals

he's also overdramatic and will tell you that he's dying and can't breathe and sees a bright light etc.

being tortured like that makes him have a potty mouth that would cause a nun to faint

he'd rather die than tap out, so if you don't stop on your own, he will let it get to a point where his laugh goes silent and you just see him shaking and slapping at your hands like a fish flopping out of water

when you finally stop he will lay there for a good five minutes still giggling and twitching because all of his nerves can still feel it

As a Ler:

Ominis

with his heightened senses of touch and hearing he'll be able to figure out your worst spots quickly based on how your body tenses and how your laughs and squeaks sound

he'll jump from spot to spot just to hear how your laugh changes and it's like music to him

he's meticulous but playful, and he has pianist hands so his agile fingers will dance over your spots and make you crazy

he wouldn't tell anyone, but he's kind of obsessed with affectionate touching (handholding, hugs, cuddling, etc.), so it only makes sense that he loves being able to do this to people he cares about

he will be stone-faced and emotionless like a Vulcan aside from an occasional smirk when he finds a weak spot

his verbal teases are more matter-of-fact than making fun (ex: "My goodness, that sounds like a sensitive spot. I'll need to remember that one for the future.")

if he hears you getting hoarse or running out of breath, he'll stop and ask if you're alright or if he went too hard on you

aftercare is important - he'll let you rest against him, he might rub his palm over the spots he attacked so your nerves calm down

he's gentle with Anne and MC... but Sebastian always does something to deserve it and Ominis frequently makes him beg for mercy

it's not uncommon to find Sebastian facedown on the floor in the Undercroft with Ominis straddled on his back torturing him and demanding for him to yield; Sebastian is the only person he will be that ruthless with

he's a ruthless ler, especially if it's retaliation

he'll resort to it if he's trying to get you to do something for him or divulge a secret and you're being stubborn

he'll sneak up behind you and give your sides a quick squeeze to spook you

he's not above doing it if you're in a sour mood and it'll make you smile, but only as a last effort if nothing else worked

verbal teases... this boy will playfully tease you about your laugh, your sensitivity, how cute he finds it when you try and fail to break out of his hold, how flustered you're getting, anything

if you're dating him, it's a part of flirting and foreplay

he used to tickle Anne when they were younger because the carefree laugh she had could light up the whole room, but after she was cursed he felt like he would break her if he so much as hugged her and he misses that closeness

that's part of why he loves that kind of bond with others he feels comfortable with; he loves being able to make people he cares for laugh like that

I think that's all the headcanons for both of them that I have for now. I might add more after I finish playing through the whole game myself. I honestly did not expect to love two Slytherin boys so much. They're written so much better than JKR ever wrote Slytherin characters.

You explained it so very well here. I get jungkook's irritation by constantly getting babied by this big fandom (wish that could change) but he also has to understand that a part of the fandom has seen him grow from like 15-16 years to 26 years now so they do see him as a younger boy than other members. And the fandom also needs to understand that he's grown up and for someone that age it is frustrating when you hear it again and again. Idt the image is gonna change suddenly but hope people work on it (the fandom).

Tbh i never got the choreo for my time like i always think that it does not suit the lyrics of the songs. Good thing many don't know korean so when you hear the song with that music without knowing the lyrics it sounds a sexy song and not some deep meaning song.

I hope he does realises that there's better way to form the image he wants to form infact I'll say it will be just like how he wants if he actually releases songs like his other solo songs. Tbh, it's not just about him growing up in front of us (even if not in real time). Fandoms like this naturally have jealous and possessive fans, and some fans are less than mature about it. Him being babied is partially the result of him being the maknae, but there are other factors. If RM and Suga were the ones caught smoking it wouldn't be an issue, and a dating "scandal" wouldn't be as big of a deal, so it's always worse for Jungkook, but fans reacting badly to normal stuff is just part of being an idol. That's why Jungkook's plan to look more "mature" so fans see him that way is flawed. Suga has a "rougher" image so he can "get away" with more, but he's also less popular. The maknae line's considerable popularity over the hyung line's more than half the reason why things are always worse for them. It goes beyond having an innocent image.

The thing with Jimin, though, is that he's always been "cutie, sexy, lovely". His cuteness is also sexy. Jimin is the cutest, but his resting face is serious and mature. He's always been very thoughtful, flirty, sometimes savage, and headcanoned a Slytherin. Jimin was never babied like Jungkook. He likes being called cute and leans into it, but he knows fans are always losing it over him being sexy and calling him hot. His duality is well know and he isn't at all defined or limited by being the number 1 cutie - there's power in being cute and Jimin likes that power and uses it to his advantage (to tease and please the fans). It's also different with Jimin because in the beginning he acted a bit tough and manly, and shared how freeing it was to just be himself and drop the act. To him being cute and babied is funny and flattering, though when fans take it too far he sets them straight. It's different from Jungkook because he wasn't forced to rip his shirt off on stage as a 17 or 18 year old rookie like Jimin, who developed a reputation for being sexy...

I just wanted to preface that this is just my Headcanons and all of this is for fun! If the characters seem ooc mind your buisness and let me live my delulu life. j/

Also for after having a convo with a friend of mine Y/N is gonna be specified at the top of post if their female, male or gender neutral presenting! Also I know Y/N is suppose to be a self insert but I lover writing personalities so heres some head canons that I have for her!

Kurapika

Always somehow smells like rain water and eucalyptus

Though he's tried to preserve as much of the traditions and customs of the kurta clan, he's slowly losing it as he goes deeper and deeper his attempt to avenge them.

Keeps a diary but is never consistent with it (sounds like his friendships)

Has the biggest rbf ever and no one is brave enough to point it out.

Absolutely despised fast food, would only eat it if it was the only option for him.

Has never kissed anyone on the lips in his life and most likely will never (sorry guys)

Killua has been trying to get him to change outfits, but he absolutely refuses to go into a department store after Aunt Mito lost him in one when he was younger.

Will eat absolutely anything edible.

Has a collection of stuffed animals from everywhere he and Killua have been.

He use to feed all the cats on the island. It gotten so bad that all the rodents on the island are nearly extinct because he's been keeping hundreds of felines alive.

The best swimmer out of everyone.

Does not have a specific type of music he likes but Killua got him to listen to the Weekend and they've bonded over that.

When he was younger he really wanted younger siblings because there weren't many kids on the island.

Has accidentally gotten high trying to eat a wild psychoactive plant on accident

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Review Chapter 10

Okay, this collection of posts will be filled with spoilers, including clips and screenshots, so if you don't wanna see things, then don't look. Some of the things I'm gonna highlight will include references to Remake and other sources to link with the overarching plot. This is a straight path playthrough with no sidequests or extra content.

Time to howl at the moon 🤣

We meet Cid at the airstrip and for a fee he'll take us all over. Yuffie is her overly enthusiastic self and winds up airsick lol

Once we reach Cosmo Canyon there's a dramatic change in Red, who drops his tough guy act the second he spots a friendly face. Barret's reaction is worth everything here!

The story progresses the same as OG with our first meeting with Bugenhagen and Tifa's adorable surprise at hearing how old Nanaki is.

It's worth noting from this point on, the team switches between Red and Nanaki, although nobody says his name that much anyway. Red also switches between voices depending on the situation and how he feels. Like when facing down the Turks or corneo, he'll sound tougher, but with his friends he's more gentle.

After a tour of the planetarium, where you literally have to climb several floors and interact with items to progress, bugenhagen treats Tifa's eyewitness account like she's seeing things. He arrogantly says he'll educate them and leads them into the SIM.

The standard explanation about the planet follows, with how the lifestream works as a river and reservoir for life energy. This explanation is in harmony with part of Sephiroth's grandiose statements about how some branches of the lifestream ultimately wither or rejoin the main body.

Basically it's stating that there's no alt timelines, just pathways not taken that die off because there's no energy used to maintain them over a more logical path with stronger and more positive results for the planet.

It's all about the planet's survival, not the people on it.

Bugenhagen sends Tifa to a "seminar" where she can learn more about the planet because she wants to know if there's more than one way for lifestream energy to rejoin the planet. She wants to know if people's souls aren't truly lost.

She talks about her experience in the lifestream and wants to encourage people to do something for the planet. She doesn't know what they can do, but she feels frustrated about it.

There's another choice convo event later at the fire where Cloud can say he understands her pov and that she shouldn't worry so much about what others think.

The other characters get their relationship development with Cloud, and it finishes with Aerith standing before the fire going on about how hard and sad her life is as the last cetra. Honestly, this came off whiny to me, especially when you consider the worst thing that happened to her is her mom died and Zack went missing. Cloud, Tifa and Barret lost their homes and families. Red was experimented on for two years by Hojo. Yuffie saw Sonon murdered in front of her and grew up in a warzone and had to witness the destruction of her homeland and culture.

I'm sorry, but Aerith being poor me pity me because she didn't have friends just ain't it.

Some lanterns are let off at the end of the scene and then we head down to the challenge of the Gi so Red can be recognised as a Watcher of the Vale.

You're stuck with just Red and Barret for this part. It's fine. There's minimal struggle with these two and they combo well. Barret's dialogue gets a bit repetitive whenever Red goes wall climbing, but it could be worse.

Bugenhagen explains the history of the Gi and the Vale and Red's family as we head deeper into the caves. There's some creepy looking gates that replace the spider webs from OG, and we have to raid a tomb to get an icon for a pedestal, so it's pretty faithful to the OG section of the game. The wall climbing is fun and let's us take short cuts that means we're alone until Barret catches up 🤣

Bugenhagen tells us the cetra used to talk to the imprisoned Gi and then we have to kick some ass!

I'm not gonna spoil the scene with Red and his dad. Y'all need to watch it. It's perfection and Max Mittleman did as good a job with this as John Eric Bentley did with Barret's part in Corel. I love those character arcs best and that hasn't changed for Rebirth ❤️

Anyway, Bugenhagen hits regret after having a think and then the Gi reappear and beckon us into a dark cave. Sephiroth appears and Cloud is very eager to follow.

And we're going on a boat ride. Gi Nattak wants us to be quiet because the planet is listening and that means the cetra are too. He definitely has no love for them or Aerith when she does her stupid hand raise question time thing again. Is she in middle school?

We leave the A team on the boat and hit up the B team over in Zack's interlude. He's having a nice chat with Biggs about how they both dodged death and how weird it was. They talk about Cloud and have contrasting character profiles for him, and neither can tell time.

Biggs has set up a recruitment for Avalanche, but the only person who turns up is a mocking Kyrie. Discouraged, Biggs leaves and Zack heads home.

Zack goes to see Aerith, calls to her and holds her hand.

Back over in the real world, Aerith can feel his touch and is startled. Tifa looks worried, but nothing comes of it because we have arrived at our destination 🤣

The Gi village.

There's a lot of info dumping happening between battles here. The main points are:

The Gi aren't of the planet. They're aliens. We don't know how they got here, but it turns out they arrived before Jenova. That's explained in the temple of ancients, not now. It's possible their actions drew jenova to the planet.

The Gi can't die. Because they're not of this planet, she refuses to accept their energy. Like a blood transfusion that's the wrong type it would make the planet sick if she absorbed their energy.

The Gi really want to die. They're sick of existing. They're not alive, they're not dead, they're stuck.

The Gi created the black materia using the planet's energy and their own desire to die. We know it summons meteor, so basically they wanted to die so much they infused their will into a piece of materia, which is of the planet, and that results in the planet taking on the consequences of their wish to die. It's kinda like a murder/suicide.

The cetra stole the black materia to protect the planet, but didn't do anything to help the Gi. Red's father promised to help them too, but they turned him to stone. Red then takes on the task. They group agrees the Gi shouldn't have the materia, but they need help.

Cloud now has the urge to get the black materia. He thinks it's to get hold of it before the bad guys do, but we know better.

Once we finally leave the Gi village, which is a section I think was needed to expand the Gi and fill in some gaps in the lore, Cait Sith wants to access a Shinra terminal to look for the temple the Gi said hides the materia. Bugenhagen got creative with it and now they're up shit creek without a paddle.

Until a guard says a black robe is at the entrance. And this one has something different to say than the others. This one says "Nibelheim". It's almost like he took a detour to tell them to go there and find a terminal because Cosmo Canyon isn't somewhere they need to be.

But we've got our next destination and some gil in our pocket to pay the airfare!

This chapter was good. The lore and all the new content with the Gi and expanding on all the back story and everything made this one fun to sit through. The cut scenes get a bit long, but it's FF, they do cinematic 🤣

Red and Barret as a team is fun, but I wanted more banter. Zack's interlude is getting more interesting and I can't help but wonder at the inconsistent accounts and personalities of the npcs. The Kyrie we know didn't seem to be quite such a mean spirited bitch as this one is, and Marlene is also pretty bratty actually. Since when is she the type of kid to stick her tongue out and push people? In Remake she was a shy lil cutie. And Elmyra. Since when is she so defeatist? Where's the woman who went to the station every day to wait and pray her husband was safe? Everybody seems slightly off.

I guess we'll see what happens in part three with all that.

Our next stop is Nibelheim, and it was somewhere I was looking forward to a lot, and it didn't disappoint! The game really did pick up after we left Costa del Sol. It's like they started switching off from vacay mode and going back into "oh shit my life is fucked" mode 🤣

I just had an idea about sweet angel Mick and I have to get it off my chest: I'm in love with Mick and his voice. I think he just has the loveliest voice, and I noticed that sometimes it gets softer, I don't even know how to explain it! (I think you can notice it in the do you know me video from Haas)

so, when he's submitting to you he tends to speak in a softer voice than normal, almost like a combination of breathy and whiny. so the moment he gets more confident and starts trusting you as his Dom, he speaks up more often, and it's like music to your ears, that includes his whimpers and whines while you're taking him apart

but now one of my favorite subjects - little!Mick. I think his voice is a little more whiny and even sweeter, he has a harder time pronouncing things correctly because he's just a little german boy! and he tends to be so happy and excited when he gets to be around you! the best caretaker in the world! so his voice reflects that love and excitement, he doesn't focus on speaking clearly because he knows you're gonna do your best to understand him anyways

Firstly, every time I write when I will be writing, it absolutely is a threat. Though I'm not sure if I'm threatening you guys or myself, but either way there will undoubtedly be violence. Anyway, lets talk about this cause youre so right about all of this! I'm assuming you meant in the d/s au, and I'm gonna write little!Mick in that AU as well cause I think it could be really cool. I am also officially dubbing 🌻 anon to be the Mick anon, you can write other stuff too but you will always be the Mick anon.

Firstly, Mick really does have the loveliest voice!! You hate how Haas made Mick feel like he shouldn't be able to speak up and express himself because his voice is just so sweet. Not only is his voice so sweet, but he also always says such nice things?

Mick never talks back, ever. All he wants is to be your good boy. As time goes on, he gets comfortable enough to make little jokes and comments in scenes. But it's never bratty. He just wants to see you smile.

Of course he speaks softer when you scene with him. At first he spoke in mumbles and whispers, so soft that you could barely hear him because he was so scared of saying wrong. But overtime he starts to feel more comfortable and begins to speak clearer.

However, he still never speaks at the same volume in scenes as he does outside of them. But you dont mind that at all, it shows that he just wants to be a little softer in scenes, a little quieter.

In fact, over time you start to notice the difference in his voice when he wants to submit? He'll turn to you and speak softer, a slight whine in his voice and then you realise what he needs. I also think that Mick hasn't realised he does this, and you make sure to never tell him because then he might try to cover it up.

Now for little!Mick...

Firstly I just wanna talk about little!Mick in the D/S AU for a second because I have many thoughts. I think that Mick would know that he was a little for years, but he kept that from his dom at Haas because he knew it would be ruined.

For Mick, littlespace is his safe space. He feels so nice when he can just play with his cars for a few hours and yes he desperately wants someone to take care of him, but he knew he couldn't tell his dom at Haas because they would find a way to make it unsafe for him.

But then he has you and you make him feel so safe? You never make fun of him EVER, and he always loves being with you. Originally, he promised himself that he wouldn't tell you about being a little either, but then he's cuddled up in bed with you and youre reading him a story because he was struggling to fall asleep and he can feel himself slipping and he gets so scared because you dont know.

Eventually he has to tell you, and he's fully convinced that youre going to hate him for it. You, of course, thank him over and over again for telling you, and tell him that you would love to meet little!Mick and help look after him if he's okay with that.

He slips later that day, because he can't stop thinking about how you offered to look after him and how he's so sure you would take such great care of him. You come into the living room after showering and Mick staring into space.

When you approach him, he looks at you with wide eyes and softly asks, "Will you play with me?"

And his voice!!! It's so soft and sweet, no hint of the whininess you hear when he needs to submit. You can hear he's nervous and excited, showing all his emotions in his voice and his face.

Of course you agree to play with him!!! He shows you where his toys are (it's literally just two very sad looking old cars and you immediately order him some new toys), and of course he wants to race!! Except, he wants to be teammates? He doesnt want to race against you, cause he refuses to do that. He wants only love and teamwork!!

After playing for a bit, he starts to come out of his shell and then he gets so excited!! He pronounces things a little off, using some German and French words as well but somehow you always understand what he wants.

Also, he start full on sobbing when you bring warm milk in a to go cup (he didnt have any sippy cups and you so you had to make do), cause he's never had a caregiver before and he's always been too scared to do it himself.

He's just so happy!!!

Some more HCs cause I feel like a caretaker feeding you feral little shits, and I'm oddly enjoying it while wondering where all of you keep coming from. - Hands down, Jason listens to Will Wood. Especially when he's going through it mentally and emotionally, so the best course of action to take is just sing along with him if he's singing or sit next to him while he's listening to it and sitting on the floor of his bedroom or his private bathroom. His favorite song has to be 'Marsha, Thankk You for the Dialectics, but I Need You to Leave.' (which is also my own favorite song) - If there's one person in the Wayne family who has a lot of squishmallows and is widely known to go buy more, that'd be a tie between Tim, Dick, Damian, Duke and Steph. Squishmallows are fucking comfortable. - You know it's been a fun night if you wake up at 3 AM and the first thing you hear is the muffled and quiet arguments about what food to get accompanied with the sound of things being moved around in the fridge. The batboys and Batman always have an improvised victory feast if the stakeout went great. - Nine times out of ten, after a long night of patrol and kicking crime's ass, everyone does not change out of their outfits and sleep for nearly a day. Alfred calls these days 'Lazy Bats Day'. - If there's one thing that is very precious to the Wayne Family, it's sleep. Sure, Tim pulls a lot of all-nighters but he's not the only one who's had his fair share of all-nighters spent fighting crime or investigating on a crime scene. - There's an ongoing competition on who snores the loudest. No one knows who's won yet, but so far it's Tim that snores the loudest. - Speaking of times where the Batfamily has stayed up for days, I am proud to present to you, the best times of the sleep-deprived Wayne Family: 1. Dick fumbling with his words and eventually laughing himself to death because he can barely make a sentence without giggling like a madman. There's been quite a few times he was incoherent on his reports during patrols that has rendered Batman speechless, trying to understand his son's blabbering.

2. Jason becoming more chaotic and using his sleep-deprivation as fuel to keep going or else he's gonna crash harder. You can see him walking around the Wayne Manor singing a song at the top of his lungs while slapping himself in the face to keep himself awake if he has to. He also becomes more talkative. 3. We all know Tim goes zombie mode, but after a month of all-nighters, he's like a cryptid that the Wayne kids have made an urban legend about. 4. Damian while he's sleep-deprived becomes more childish, and he acts like a kid his age, which is cute and funny at the same time because he'll laugh at anything you tell him. Put him and Dick in one room and you'll hear them dying of laughter within 30 minutes, and if you check on them, they'll be on the floor with tears in their eyes. 5. Duke tries to get enough sleep, but he will ultimately fail and so he becomes veeeery distant and lost in his own world. He has a very short attention span. 6. Cassandra is more hyper-focused and a bit paranoid, being more squirrely and fast to react while she hasn't been able to sleep. It's even harder to get her to sleep because she'll think you're out to hurt her. 7. Steph is the same as Tim, first a zombie then immediately a cryptid who will attack you if you look her in the eyes. 8. Bruce with 0 sleep is odd. Just straight up odd. You can find him staring at the wall for an hour before writing down something that sounds like a good idea, when really it's just something that already exists. Sometimes though, he's just not ever to be seen. But only sometimes, during the darkest of nights, can you see the grown man eating out of the fridge. Alfred gets the healthy amount of sleep and always has been, but he's the one who takes pictures and keeps tabs of everyone (especially the cryptid duo) while making a documentary on the cryptid duo.

Hey anon! Someone also suggested this as a oneshot and I've thought about it a little bit! I don't know exactly what will go down if this were completely written out, but here are some general ideas:

Canon Tenzin

He'll probably hear some distorted voices while getting carried back to the island, and see hazy visions of Lin by his side along with these new faces who look so much like her. Some of them are saying "Dad" and he is not coherent enough to ask who they are and he knocks out

I think the kids' feelings are really gonna hurt when they hear him say "You're not my children. I'm sorry, I don't know who you are." Lin is prob pissed lmao

When they find out he's not their own Tenzin, there's def gonna be an interview haha He has so many mixed emotions bc this is the life he envisioned and wanted with Lin, these are their children who he daydreamed about having. Here they are now, he's learning about their personalities and knows what they look like

All of the kids are gonna spar him bc how dare he break up with their mother and marry an acolyte in the same year? They're all gonna win bc they know how to beat him 🤣

Lin is gonna be the one who has the most difficult time with him. She wants her husband back, this is not the one she created a life and family with. Tbh for some reason, I can see her actually pulling away from canon Tenzin while the kids are the ones spending more time with him. The kids are familiar of their parents' history together, but Lin and Tenzin are the ones who lived it together (albeit different experiences with this switch) and they both take it the hardest

Despite her frustrations with him, she wouldn't turn her back on him. Just make him sleep in another room until he goes back to canon lol

He's also prob trying to stay in this universe ngl and Lin wants her airhead back

AU Tenzin

I feel so bad for him

While I think he'll be very cordial and civil when addressing Pema and her kids, it's quite obvious that he has no emotional connection to her or them. I can see Pema trying to spark that connection with him, but he's very clear on his boundaries that he's married to Lin and he has children with Lin and will remain faithful to her. While he may look like her husband, he's not.

Compared to AU Lin who has only two photos on her, Tenzin has multiple photos lmao he has a family photo and individual ones of the kids when they're all young.

He's trying to spend more time with Lin, but he's learning very quickly that she was hurt badly in this universe. She's the only connection he really has and he wants to be there to support her. Meanwhile Lin trying not to get lured by how much better this version of airhead is is getting a headache figuring out how he can go home to his family. But she's genuinely curious about their life together

Lin would act like she doesn't care about the photos, but inside she's studying it so intently. Wondering what they're all like, what their voices sound like, how the atmosphere feels if she were to ever meet them. Tenzin is hyping them up lol he prob also tries to hype her up and she's building up an extra wall

I think if he were switched, he wouldn't be in other world for very long. He'd prob stay for there for no more than a week?
