Just learned what a writeblr intro is so I'm gonna make one before I go to bed lol

I've already done something like this a few days ago but that was when I had no clue what I was doing lmao, so might as well make a more in depth one

I write mostly fantasy and urban fantasy, and honestly i dont think i've ever written a story that was non-fantasy lol

Started writing when I was 10, but it was mostly Warrior Cats fanfiction on Wattpad lol. I went through a writing slump for most of highschool but last year I decided to get back into it since I'm not doing anything else lol

I like to read fantasy and classic lit, also anything with vampires. I also have a soft spot for slowburn romances where the main characters dont kiss until, like, the 4th book heehee

In love with anything gothic, vampire, and wlw 👩‍❤‍💋‍👩

I think one of my more niche interests is any early 2000s fantasy/sci-fi movie with a nu-metal/rock/alternative soundtrack like Queen of the Damned and The Crow. They are just...*chefs kiss*

A Chant for Blood (Formerly known as Account of Calamity)

Account of Calamity is a gothic victorian fantasy about a Grand Marshal, Karliah Helisende, and a blood-drinking fiend, Yorick Gwynplaine, who work together to investigate the mysterious portals that spawn dangerous creatures into the city of Isarnan, all the while Karliah is being haunted by the mysterious ancient temple that watches over her every move.

I'm currently working on the second draft, and I may start looking for beta readers once I'm finished, although I know I'm not far from finished with this novel. I also plan to make it a 4 or 5 book series, and slowly add a slowburn romance.

Our Demonic Hearts - The Craven Pact Series #1

Our Demonic Hearts is a urban fantasy about a cambion woman, Ana Kravens, haunted by her past. Taking place in a small Mississippi town, a man she went through a traumatic incident with, Beau Motloe, shows up on her doorstep one day with a deal; help him find his missing mother, and he'll give back the memories she lost during the traumatic incident. Her father, a demonic creature of unknown origin, wants nothing more than the Motloes dead, claiming that they were the very reason his daughter was almost killed 6 years ago. Ana goes against her father's wishes and accepts Beau's deal, suspecting that her father isn't telling the whole truth about that fatal night.

It is completed and available on Wattpad and Royal Road!! It was just a small project I had done for Nanowrimo, and has been edited at least once before being published. However, I plan to make it a trilogy and maybe have some spin-offs. This story is fairly new, but most of the characters are at least 5 years old and I love them very much <3

What I plan for 2024:

Finish the second draft of Account of Calamity and look for beta readers(In the beta reader phase!)

a BUNCH of Garu/Karu meta: fashion, H scenes, scars, trauma, who knows Karu, sexuality, part 1

Over the past couple days, i wrote like 398429347 garu/karu mini meta and i dont want to flood the tag each time, so here's a bunch of them! I have a feeling I'll have more brainrot about them.... so I'm making this a multipart series.

BIG disclaimer that i did not play every event nor unlocked every intimacy room, so I am probably lacking some major lore information. If anyone has opened more stories, or knows answers to my questions, or has correct information, or other thoughts in general, please let me know!

A) Karu's H scene character development:

Garu is very horny & submissive and really likes anal. 7 out of 8 scenes include penetrative anal sex, whether its fingering or Eiden's cock. Interestingly, neither of them have done the infamous missionary pose- its just some kind of riding or doggy. He doesn't seem to have any physical kinks yet (aside from anal), but he's into being submissive, serving his master, praise, and definitely likes sex- so I think he'd be into trying BDSM if eiden brought it up.

The 3 times we hear Karu talk/think about sex himself, aside from wanting to top & having a major ego... i mean praise kink- MG when he pushes Garu away saying he wants to feel good, EG when he vaguely says he wants to feel good, and BS where he thinks he'd like to be fucked but denies it when replying to Eiden. Karu is starting to trust Eiden now and accept that he (gasp!) might like being fucked. While this is, yay! character development!, i'm ever so miiiildly disappointed bc I thought Garu/Karu had perfect potential to be a switch. Karu would probably suck as a top, but Dante also sucked at sex in the beginning & he's gone through character development now. (Btw, I'd just like to say that Karu is a different kind of tsundere than Edmond is. Karu has explicitly stated he wants to top multiple times. Edmond is just wishywashy and uncertain about le horny.) However, in BS, there's also a vague conversation that Karu & Garu have- I'm not sure if the translation is just skirting around the specifics, but Garu assumes Karu doesn't like some of the "other things" about being a model and says "Don't you hate those things?" Those things either mean humans in general, specifically interacting with humans, or being sexy (or all 3). So while Karu wishes he could top, is starting to accept that he also likes being fucked, he is not as ridiculously horny as Garu is. Going as far as to say Karu might be somewhere on the ace spectrum is a bit far, but I can see someone making the case for it. (Asexual/ace spectrum people can still have sex for a variety of reasons).

C) Garu & Karu's Fashion

Of our yokai love insterests- kuya cares about his appearance, yakumo doesn't have strong preferences but seems to value modesty so he knows what he's comfortable with, (if quincy counts as yokai, he probably DGAF). and then we have garu/karu.

we don't know how they picked/got their SR/R/N clothing, but we can assume its something garu & his gramps slapped together in the Dead Zone (and for some reason Garu still wears it even after moving into Aster's mansion lol). (Btw Karu did prank people by stripping them, so i wonder if what's they're wearing could've also been stolen?) As for all his other SSR outfits- all of them are given by someone else and the Howling Cyclone "outfit" was some bandages, a coat, & a pumpkin hat that yakumo/eiden/garu found on the ground.

therefore i am very very curious that, if given the choice, what would garu & karu pick for themselves? cause i feel like they would have different fashion preferences.

and then i realized- growing up mostly isolated in the harsh Dead Zone- garu/karu's never had the time to even think about fashion, so neither of them probably care nor have any shame. what we can deduce though, is that they both have praise kinks and if someone compliments them in some way, then they definitely like it, regardless of what the outfit actually is. so i'm gonna try to figure out what their fashion preferences might be once they get more comfortable with clothing.

honestly, i think garu likes revealing clothing now. the only thing we know him to have picked out, the very revealing placements of the Howling Cyclone bandages and posssibly the jockstrap in Binary Star. (In room 4, Garu says that he & Karu(!) prepared "an ultimate skill for Master" and then the camera zooms in on his crotch. Like if thats not saying Garu picked his jockstrap, idk what it means.) I also think this was learned, because in Master's Gift, Garu was still kind of clueless on how sexy he looked and now he actively seeks out sexy garments. back to HC- garu strips everything to wear just the bandages & coat. He doesn't keep his underwear or look for pants or a shirt, which means he either wasn't socially aware, had no shame, or liked how revealing it was. Also, the jockstrap was a secret present for Eiden not for the public.

Karu is a bit harder since he seems to just go along with whatever (including whatever garu wants). and even in BS when karu is finally getting some spotlight on his preferences, he only cares about food & conquering/enchanting people. anyone got ideas?

D) Who knows that Karu exists?

I'm going through the Binary Starlight Garu rooms and i realized that Karu is interacting with random townspeople and no one seems to have any issue or confusion about that.

And then I realized, that after Garu meets everyone except Dante (and Rei) in ch8, he goes to Aster's mansion and has very little screen time until ch 13, and we don't really know who Garu is hanging out with besides Aster's maids and clan members. (We don't know when the side events are taking place in the timeline).

Nonhuman/yokai/wolf reactions to Karu's existence can possibly be excused, since they're probably used to unusual circumstances. i'm gonna excuse the clan members & aster's maids cause they have daily exposure to Garu&Karu. i'll assume that the clan members & aster caught up dante with who garu was off screen and, well, now we know Rei/Karu/Garu might have some HistoryTM.

but what about random townspeople? although garu can be hyper & extroverted, he usually introduces himself as just "Hi! I'm Garu!", not Hi! I'm Garu and sometimes I switch into Karu." In summer fest, garu/karu's just there as support so he's not really making himself known to a lot of people. And in Eerie escapade, i highly doubt he was having interpersonal conversations while battling monsters in the pampo village that they teleported to. But in the BS intimacy rooms, the modeling people/store owners are having actual conversations knowing Karu's name. In fact, at the end, it seems like Karu is doing most of the modeling but when its an aspect of modeling that Karu doesn't like, Garu takes over. Does this mean that garu is pretending to be Karu, or that everyone knows its the two of them? This will be interesting…. Bonus, for those who believe that Karu's eyes are actually blue and the yellow is only for the player, i think the store owners/fans/townspeople would point out if karu's eyes suddenly changed to blue!

E) Garu&Karu's sexualities

Ok so its hard to tell since klein (and saia!) doesn't have the same concept of sexuality that earth does.

that said, the yokai also have the bonus of not being human and them being based off some animal characteristics, of which foxes, snakes, & wolves also all display homosexual behaviors. so this will be interesting! i am not a scientist, this is just based off le googles.

Foxes- a lot of these species have sex and pair with male & female foxes.

Snakes- also a lot of homosexual partners/pairings and in fact some species can reproduce asexually

Wolves- alpha male wolves have 1 alpha female mate for life but may mate with other males if they're in heat, otherwise they live in a pack

So what about Garu & Karu? Consistently, Garu has said he only wants Eiden to fuck him. So we can assume that sexually, Garu is uh master-sexual, regardless of what gender that master is. However, because he is still a wolf yokai, I do believe that he views the clan members as his pack to still share both platonic and intimate experiences. So Garu would have no problems with Eiden telling him to seduce Edmond or something. In summary- Garu is unknown leaning towards whoever he considers his alpha wolf and thinks in pack mentality, aka poly. Also, he's 100% a sub.

Karu is, once again, more complicated. He said he doesn't only belong to Eiden and calls Kuya, Kuya-sama (translated to Master Kuya) sometimes. (In master's gift, he called Kuya "wily fox" lol. I think nowadays, Kuya and Yakumo are the only one he calls by their actual names, not something like "the knight" or "human" or "the priest" or "the vampire"). Karu also has the added issue where he is poorly socialized & traumatized as HECK and trauma sure messes up your perception of relationships. In my earlier mini-meta analyzing Garu/Karu's H scenes, I said someone could argue that Karu is aromantic or demiromantic or grey-ace.

Luckily, as an aromantic sexual person with trauma, i have some experience in this realm! Unfortunately, I'm not a writer and Karu isn't a real person- so a) I don't know the intentions so we don't know if his experiences are shaped by trauma or his actual sexuality and b) since he's not real, he can be open to interpretation! But let's assume Karu's base sexuality when not shaped by trauma. His horniness level is nowhere near Garu's overwhelming horniness, and while he's not shy to sex, he needs multiple experiences before gradually warming up to the idea of sex. Garu is also clearly attracted to Eiden as a person, whereas Karu is still in denial but also unwilling to commit himself to Eiden (but does want to hang on to Eiden- see the whole human slave thing). Garu seems knowledgeable in sexiness, but Karu just seems clueless about it. He also does not seem to know about human romantic attraction general. In summary.... I don't have a good conclusion for Karu at all. But someone can use these arguments to prove that Karu might be demisexual/demiromantic or on the aro/ace spectrum.

F) Garu's throat scar

(Quick note: Did Olivine say that essence can heal scars?)

So I noticed that even though Garu casually displays his other scars, he consistently covers up his throat scar in event + SR outfits. (We can only see it in Forgotten Fruit H scenes). Although Misty Vale implies that the scars could be from the Council experimentation, the other scars also make sense for Dead Zone injuries considering Garu has no armor or skin protection. He also doesn't seem concerned about covering them or healing them (if they can be healed? Someone correct me about the above statement), but his throat scar is consistently covered.

If the events seem to take place after the main gemstone storyline. The fact that none of his (old) scars are healed means:

-Garu probably didn't learn how to heal scars in the dead zone and got used to them & his Gramps was more survivalist- he either thought Garu would have a better chance surviving when looking tough & scarred up or just didn't care about appearances. And even if he learned now/after the Main Plot, in Misty Vale, Garu doesn't care seem to care about covering up all his body scars.

-Except Garu (or at least all his clothing givers lol) does want to cover up his throat scar though. Heck, garu even covered up his neck by himself when wrapping himself with bandages. If he wanted to hide it consistently, I'm sure Olivine has ways to heal it. However, this means that scar cannot be healed, so they cover it up instead.

Yeah that's all I got with this.

WARNING: This section talks about trauma. I am NOT a licensed psychiatrist or have personal experience with DID. This is only based off internet research, which may or may not be reliable.

X) Garu/Karu & Rei's Trauma

There's a lot of traumatized characters in nu carnival, but i think these 2 take the cake for the amount of physical violence and/or abuse done against them whilst lacking in power*. By that, i mean while the rest of the cast all have their traumas, they have had moments of empowerment in the past, currently have moments of empowerment, they had some empowerment during whatever caused their trauma (or were forced to cause other people's traumas therefore messing them up significantly too), or are literally in positions of power with ways to control their life circumstances on their own terms. For example, Blade, Kuya, Dante, Yakumo, and Aster had awful things happen to them or were horribly manipulated by others, but Blade, Kuya, and Dante are powerful fighters that have control over their autonomy present-day, meanwhile Yakumo & Aster are in a much healthier relationship with Eiden and have confidence in their new support network. (Blade and Kuya in particular also caused a LOT other people a lot of harm so that gets a bit complicated).

Rei & garu on the other hand, have had their bodies horrendously violated, are still actively dealing with it and, in my opinion, lack significant empowerment to control their autonomy. also, none of their traumas have actually been dealt with yet, heck we barely know exactly what happened.

and their trauma responses & coping mechanisms are completely different. garu does everything he can to protect himself (DID, amnesia, garu tries to be optimistic, karu is focused on self preservation). rei does everything he can to aggravate it (unhealthy coping mechanisms, everything is transactional & extremely goal oriented, kind of apathetic, and self destructive).

In rusted nation, rei definitely remembers what's happened to him, but it looks like he sugarcoated it amidst bickering with kuya, while Eiden & blade "escaped" so eiden didn't hear it. kuya is (overly) great at keeping secrets, so eiden will probably never find out from kuya what happened to rei. for rei's trauma, its kinda obvious that, that is what's going to be his character development.

as for garu, its harder to tell. i really want to know what'll happen when they get his memory back. based off misty vale & his EG rooms, Garu doesn't seem to be actively trying to recover his memories (heck his only reactions in ch 13 are fainting or switching to Karu). that said, i'd like to *think* that garu will accept his memories based off his optimistic response in EG. buuut i think his world might also fall apart. Karu seems to remember that humans "took advantage" of him somehow and he's on friendly terms with Rei, so it's possible Rei rescued/escaped with Karu. would Garu get mad at karu for not telling him or not protecting him enough? would Karu get mad at garu for being forced to front during all the experiments? if it turns out Rei was an active part of experimenting on Karu/Garu, Karu seems to understand him, but would Garu get pissed at them or scared of them?

also, i just wanna touch on something even darker. one of my theories a long time ago was that garu might've also been r*ped bc karu has SUCh a hangup about bottoming and being taken advantage of. In fact, Eiden calls Karu out on it during EB rooms, but Karu ignores the question. Anyways i thought, oh NU Carnival is such a cheerful game that it'll never go there. And then BOOM its confirmed in Rusted Nation that the devs are willing to go there. there's also the sex automaton in blade's memories. during that conversation, the researcher says Blade's design "does not have the functions for sex", which means he either didn't have a penis or it didn't function that way it does present-day. but because Blade can have sex now with a very human-like penis & cum, that makes me wonder if Blade was eventually upgraded (especially considering the noble that funded the research) and then tested out as a sexbot with the intentions of using sex to bait for assassinations.

SK8 the infinity theory: outfits & nicknames at S race

rekis the only character that doesnt have an s name. langa was named after S’s skaters as ‘snow’ but he didnt name himself deliberately, he just accepted it. also, theyre the only main characters that wear the same clothing as in daylight. joe and cherry, both have a nickname, i think is not stated that they purposefuly name themselves after but they seem pretty comfortable with their secret identity or hiding their real identity, like they did it on purpose. they also have specific outfits for S. these character are the ones who try to hide their identity the most if you compare how they are at S and at work. Cherry at S is completely covered up and when reki goes to hom for advice cherry scold him for calling him with his S name. I guess Joe outift (or the lack of it) doesnt try to hide completely but the way he dresses up at work and his personality switch from flirty to dedicated to his job might imply hes not being honest so im not sure if its just a complexity thing for his character or theres another reason. but what they do have in common is they dont communicate between them very much, that leads to many arguments, cherry holds grudge towards adam for leaving them and i think joe and cherry never brought the topic up, maybe their arguments show how frustated they are because of their past. adam wears an outfit too and changes it depending of how he feels when he races vs langa, adams received a stern education by his aunts and his only escape is skating, when he skates he puts all his rage on it (attacking and provoking skaters -reki, cherry) or inviting (langa) to be his companion, impliying that he does feel alone despite having tadashi by his side all the time. adam unleash his emotions, he doesnt have to follow any rule (unlike at his work or at home), he doesnt have to pretend anymore. adam cant appreciate tadashi because adams family neglected him (as a person and his love for skating), i think he feels tadashi lured him to the wrong path thats might expxlain why adam think so low of him, showing no respect pretty differently from when they were kids. i think adams a pretty emotional character, the level of detail he puts on his outfits to express himself how hurt he feels. also the heart symbol is constant of his main outfit throughout the serie might imply that hes looking for love, for someone who loves him for who he is but, does adam know who he is? hes behaving like that due his child wounds, i think he acts like the evil character to  rebel againts his aunts, who taught him a distorted idea of ‘love’. i think thats why langa (who is good at skating and a kid/teenager -its nothing creepy i swear-) can remind him the innocence of being passionate about something you love and tadashi taught adam this ‘love’ so thats why he can appreciate tadashi and the end. i think the adults characters show how restricted is the adult world, where you have to pretend you are someone else to be accepted and reki and langa are the ones who can help them because they are teenagers, they can allow thsemselves to just be without expecting anything from the other. going back to the identity thing, thats why i find interesting that reki and langa doesnt wear an specific outfit, they are implying dont need to hide who they are or it might represents the sincerity in their relationship, reki thinks so poor about himself and its a problem when he realised langa is better than him at skating and he tells langa, when they argue he doesnt want to hang out with him anymore and some eps later, after reki solves his own problems he can reunite with langa again and this is langas turn to say what he thinks about reki (hes being honest too). miya wears an outfit too but im not sure whether he tries to cover his idenity cuz hes a junior champion, do skaters at S dont know who he is? or they dont care, i guess S is a place where you can be free despite your good or bad at skating, its a place where you can have fun sharing the activity you love. but i find miya being more cautious at S races than in his professional career. he worries a lot when reki races againts adam, he tries to persuade reki to NOT skate againts him, he even wanted reki to abandon the race because he didnt want him to get hurt. i think he want to protect himself from losing his friends because he was too good and doesnt want anyone getting hurt because of skating. shadow’s outfit is the most tacky of them all but hes pretty aware of it. shadow is the adult characters who mannaged to adapt his wild side and his soft side, that makes me think hes the most mature of them even when he acts childish at races. hes at peace with his personality and i love the duality of this two personalities coexisting like, you can enjoy being reckless but also soft when it comes to people he cares about.

Hi I really like reading your posts. I was wondering what you're thinking about Deku saving Shigaraki. Like I reaally want Shigaraki saved but "Deku, someone who worships heroes, saving Shigaraki, someone who was failed by heroes and society of heroes- wait no "hero society", which makes Shigaraki forget his and his friends' pain" just sounds kinda fake to me.

And yeah, i think Shigaraki should be saved. If i summarize with three simple reasons;

1- This is who Deku is. Deku is a kind person who will try to save anyone who need help. Thats lliterally the core of his character and thats why i love him.

2- Shigaraki is victim who needs to be saved, thats literally main theme of his character. How he needed a hand. All his backstory is about, yeah he is villain but he was literally forced to be one. I find his character more interesting every time he shows positive character development. I love that even though he is actually the victim who looks like monster from outside.

3- This is a true hero story. Its about learning to be real hero, saving people, changing things for better. This is the main theme of story. And this is why i am into this series.

Basicaly Deku should save Shigaraki but how he will do that? Right now, is Deku ready to save him? I dont think so. The reason is just like every character Deku has flaws too.

In war arc, he was okay with Shigaraki’s being destroyed by Endeavour and others but when Shigaraki fight back, he didnt only get mad but also tried to kill Shigaraki too.

Of course, Shigaraki shouldnt kill people and Deku will be sad cause their life has worth but what about Shigaraki’s life? What about villain’s life? Are they no worthy to be saved in heroes’s eyes? Are they less worthless? If you get villain record, will you lose you worth in society’s eyes? Even when society reject you, do you still have to silencely obey it? Even though, people have their breaking point, even though its impossible to not react when you reached breaking point but you still magically endure pain that caused by failure of system?

Answer is yes. This is how hero society work right now. Whether they dont understand or accept the fact that a good person will ever be villain. This is why villains are seen as monsters. They are not part of everyone that heroes will try to save. This is how Deku and others are raised to believe. They dont understand cause they are still accepted by society, they dont understand the feelings of someone who wasnt saved. This is why they obey the system and believe what they are told.

Deku understood that Shigaraki is someone who needs to be saved but even after seeing Shigaraki lie that, he still hoped that if Shigaraki's ending.

‘Dont wake up, Shigaraki, please dont move’ yeah, right, it would be better if Shigaraki just dies cause he is the one who cause trouble to everyone, right? Deku should save everyone so Deku has to destroy the problem. After all, Shigaraki isnt someone who is part of everyone, right?

Deku is someone who is failed by system too, he is failed by people around him too. But when Shigaraki talks about failure of system and heroes, Deku simply ignores it.

Deku is like this cause society is like this. In here, villains have no worth. Thats what system taught them. Basically, there is no way Deku can truly save Shigaraki, without seeing the failues of system.

Deku should change his mindset and see worth in villain’s life too. He should challenge system that destroy people’s life. Otherwise, how can Deku reach out to Shigaraki?

Shigaraki is the voice of every victim of this story. He is the blowback. To save Shigaraki means changeing society. Changing society means saving Shigaraki and people like Shigaraki. Its the same thing.

Shigaraki wont forget anything, even he want to, he cant. This is why he is speaking up to heroes to change things. Even all those destruction is to change things. Not just Shigaraki, league, they all are telling society that things can not continue the way it is. You can not just act like nothing happened. Past wont be erased.

So; Saving Shigaraki should happen with society’s changing. His ending shouldnt be like ‘throwing him a place like tartarus’. Deku should give Shigaraki teraphy, an enivronment he can heal but also he can pay for his crimes. Their pain shouldnt be ignored. It should be acknowledged. Thi is what league is fighting for. When people acknowledging their pain, i think they wont have to fight anymore.

Why would they reject the society that finally give them a healthy environment, helping them to heal and finally accept them?

Thats all they wanted, after all. Of course, there might be people who can stuck with past but i think league dont want that. They want to heal, they want to move on past. The reason they were stuck with past is not because they dont want to heal but they cant. They just want to cronfront main problem which is what should happen to truly move one from past. And this is why they are changing for better through story cause they want to change. Its not fake, its just how things should be and thats how they would react, i think.

Episode 28~ Well, I heard this season’s supposedly got 60 episodes total (don’t quote me, that may be wrong) so we’re almost at the halfway point... I’m gonna wait till episode 30 to talk about that though.

This episode I actually rather liked, even though absolutely NOTHING happens other than the important things at the very beginning and the very end. That’s becoming a pattern this season - lots of nothing sandwiched in between hints of big dramatic things to come. Eh. But yeah, I liked it anyway :P for a few reasons that are probably not that objective. It’s not the kind of episode that’s gonna make you want to rewatch though.

Look we all know Jou is exactly the kind of 12 year old who folds his clothes neatly even when lost in a mysterious parallel world. Also he brought more textbooks (social studies and Japanese). Aka more ammo for Mimi

Last week we ended with Patamon evolving to Angemon in what was a pretty anticlimactic moment, despite a big villain being there and a cliffhanger ending. Seemed like a waste after all we went through just to get him.

However, I do think the beginning of episode 28 makes up for it somewhat. Angemon gets to show off how Very Very Cool he is, but it’s also made clear that he’s not up to full strength. Seeing him throw all his effort into the battle to save them even though it’s clear he won’t win was actually pretty great.

Poor Takeru gets thrown back all by his lonesome

So last episode, I said I thought Darknightmon was gonna go for Hikari and was surprised and somewhat relieved when he stayed interested in Takeru/Angemon. Um... I guess that was a red herring x’D he’s after Hikari after all.

He literally says “I have no use for you” to Angemon LOL sick burn my dude

Hikari: “There is a new cutest child.”

Takeru: “Um, actually the phrase is ‘smallest child’.“

Hikari: “No. Cutest child. Do not interrupt my moment, impertinent one.”

Grogu: “Did someone say ‘cutest child’?”

Angemon’s peeved that Hikari stole the spotlight so he immediately jumps into the way and prevents Darknightmon from grabbing her.

Angemon: “No one treats ME like some washed up has-been!”

But as hard as he tries, Angemon just hasn’t recovered enough. It probably took all the energy Patamon had stored up just to evolve. His wings lengthen and release into millions of shining feathers, and both he and Darknightmon de-evolve.

I really did kind of enjoy this battle! Seeing Takeru be all strong and heroic, and the desperation with which Angemon tries to protect him... me likey.

Next it’s a nod to 99 series! D-D-Digimon!

Yamato screams like he’s at the dentist’s.

There’s lots of freaky black lightning that rains down seeming to give dark energy and empower random Digimon who get hit by it. Just to ensure our heroes don’t get to waste time on any more “breaks”

A single feather floats down where Taichi lands and dissolves. I am not sure what happened to it, if it did anything or if it was what protected them until this point...

Taichi and Hikari wake up and discover they are alone. So last week I thought they’d get swept off into pairs... I didn’t even consider that they’d each wind up alone. Mixed feelings! On the one hand, seeing each kid interact with their partner and their partner only was one of the good things about this episode (except it wasn’t always true, which I’ll get to in a minute). On the other hand, my fears last week were that whoever ended up with Taichi would be overshadowed by him. Turns out, if no one’s with him but Hikari, that means all the plot stuff is with them and the others have nothing in particular to do. -_-; At least not this week. My hope is that it’s coming (and there were a few promising hints this episode so), but next week’s trailer looks pretty Taichi-centric too..

Taichi: “Can I help it if I’m so charming cool awesome and dare I say it adorable”

The impact of everyone being “alone” is cut short by the fact that they can all still communicate via digivice. I would be fine with that, except for what I said earlier - they wind up spending too much time talking to each other instead of their partners. Particularly the ones who like to Plan Things. Eh.

Yamato tells Taichi to protect Hikari, doesn’t even mention that he’s sadly separated from Takeru at this point ;_; He knows Takeru’s okay though because Takeru is also communicating by digivice.

Sora: “Hello yes, it’s in my contract that I get to be awesome X number of times per episode, and I have doubts that you are making your quota.”

I love how Tentomon’s job is basically Koushirou’s secretary x’D “Put my calls on speakerphone Margaret” “Yes Mr Izumi”

The partners really are suited to each other... Koushirou gets a secretary, Jou gets a mom, Mimi gets a gal pal, Yamato gets a therapist, Sora gets a sister, Taichi gets a... preschool child who eats paste... -.-’

takeru and hikari don’t count because they’re Special and their main attribute is Cute

All the kids have ended up alone except for super-charged monsters who want to eat them. Palmon hoists Mimi up a very sheer rock trying to escape Golemon who is not great at climbing but doesn’t seem to know that

Meanwhile Jou... is like “Ohh yeah, you guys have it so rough, I’m trying my hardest too, keep fighting the good fight y’all”

He’s relaxing in the hot springs and freaking studying.

Gomamon’s unusually fine with it though. Because he gets to swim. He says “Let’s invite the others here.” They’re both like YEAH THIS IS WHAT I CALL A VACATION

It’s all fun and games until the hairy guy with the tattoos and veiny arms sharing your hot spring starts staring at your ding-a-ling. Uhhhhhhh.

I’m not going to get into everything he says but it’s pretty much more of the same regarding the power influx from the human world to the digital world and the way the Zurumon’s attacks are wreaking havoc with electronics...

Taichi almost says “You’re so sugoi!” Almost. He’s grateful anyway. *chews on those Taishiro breadcrumbs till they’re broken down to atoms*

Then... Hikari’s acting strange!

Agumon: “What are you looking at?”

Hikari: “I don’t know.”

Taichi: “You don’t know but you’re looking at it?”

Hikari: “It kind of looks like Steve Buscemi... it’s hard to tell”

Taichi’s not too wigged out by freaky Hikari because he’s lived with her all his life, and she’s always been a freak.

Baby Hikari: “Shteeve... bushemiii....”

Agumon: “Your sister’s weird.”

Taichi: “Yeah but she’s MY weird sister.”

Yamato is fighting, of course. He stops for a moment to be impressed by how well Takeru’s handling himself. Garurumon points it out. I suppose it’s simply time to accept that this season Yamato is just not the disaster boy he was in 99 x’D

This rock... could be the raw material for their Crests!!! Squeee~!! I mean, it’s about time something about that came up, assuming it’s still a thing. (Since they already seem to have their Crests loaded in their Digivices and got to Perfect level without any talk of values and personal strengths, I don’t know how much of the old Crest legacy remains in this season.) I, uh, did the same thing in my fanfic so I guess I’m just biased... These could totally be Evil Rubies Of Darkness and Terror but I’d rather have Crests :p Of course I would have expected Mimi to find green stones in that case sooo... maybe not.

Anyway she and Palmon are suitably distracted from running from Golemon and go mining instead. I’m sure that will not cause any problems.

We swing back to Taichi and Hikari, who are being approached by a big scary monster...

Taichi: “Watch my Tarzan impression.”

Hikari: “Nooo! I don’t want to be Jane!”

Fortunately Agumon evolves just to catch them in midair x’D Now is not the time for impressions, Taichi, seriously.

They are attacked by Volcdramon, which is a dumbass name.

Voldramon: “I AM VOLCRADMON, THE VOLCANO DIGIMON”

Taichi: “Velcromon the Velcro Digimon?”

Voldramon: “what NO i am Volcdramon-”

Hikari: “Voltronmon? Voldemortmon?”

Voldramon: *sniveling* “why does this happen EVERY time i JUST want to be one of the cool guys youre all such BULLIES”

MetalGreymon and Volcdramon face off, but something’s not right! Much like... the Digimon in the last episode whose name I already forgot *cough*, Volcdramon seems able to absorb other Digimon’s power. This presents a problem because last time it took all of them shooting into its mouth together to overload it so they could win. MetalGreymon is having a hard time on his own as Volcdramon just absorbs all his attacks.

Hikari prays to Jesus to save them. Digimon is approved for Christian families 👼👼👼

Taichi promises Hikari everything will be okay. His back-and-forth with MetalGreymon here is kind of cool. Every time MetalGreymon takes a hit, Taichi’s encouragement and coaching?? I guess keeps frustration at bay.

Buuut eventually they’re both feeling pretty desperate :P It was hard for me to take this battle seriously since, after all we’ve seen MetalGreymon capable of, it seems weird that he should be struggling this much. But obviously they don’t just want to make him invincible. And this problem makes sense: the ability of Digimon to absorb attacks and turn them into energy is definitely a new problem.

The question is, how do we solve it?

Apparently it helps if you have a little sister who’s some kind of super battery.

Taichi: “Nothing shocks me anymore with Hikari. She could announce she’s been Beyonce this whole time and I would believe it”

WarGreymon appears (again) as his goldeny vision self, defeats Volcdramon, then promptly de-evolves back to Agumon.

So the question is, why is this happening... From earlier episodes we know Agumon & co are some group of legendary warriors who have had their memories tampered with (??) to some extent (because they do still know each other, or at least Agumon and Gabumon remember knowing each other). Omegamon’s a given for that of course so I suppose that’s why. Hikari seems to be the key to unlocking the legendary warriors, maybe with Takeru. That’s my guess. Of course, Tailmon’s probably already in the bad guys’ clutches, much like Patamon was. I hope she’s still working for them. I want more double agent fun times. Also ANGST

Hikari: “Thank you, Agumon-” *disappears*

Taichi: “GEEZ I can’t eat, can’t sleep, can’t even breathe without something bad happening anymore, like excuse me for BLINKING”

Yeah so... Skullknightmon appears and abducts Hikari like it’s nothing xD

Skullknightmon: “What’s under arm number two? Iiiiit’s your sister!”

Taichi: “Aw damn, I wanted the sports car”

Taichi quickly gives chase. I assume Agumon’s pretty exhausted after that and probably can’t evolve now. Bad timing. Oooor maybe this is all how Skullknightmon planned it...

Then... the unthinkable! Hikari looks at her brother rushing desperately to save her... and turns away!

Taichi is SHOCKED! Le GASP!

Taichi: “But but but I’m the MAIN CHARACTER”

Hikari: “Not anymore bitch it’s my show now”

Yeah okay jokes aside! This bit was AWESOME. Like, I’m sure it’s obvious that she can tell the voice that “called” her to the digital world is with Skullnightmon. Or at least, her heart’s telling her she has to go with him in order to meet that person (Tailmon, duh). I’ll be surprised if that’s not what’s going on. But... to so coldly just turn her back on her brother... I mean, maybe she also thinks she’s protecting him... but SHE JUST GOT HERE... holy crap...

To think we spent so long theorizing that Takeru would be the one abducted but no it’s Hikari... In retrospect should have been obvious. She’s 1) a girl and therefore a damsel, and 2) the one who was abducted in 99 xP

But I really like her semi-willingly going off with Skullnightmon. Much better than just screaming as she’s whisked away King Kong-style. In 99 she also got abducted voluntarily (I mean, it was coercion, so... that’s not voluntary, but you know what I mean). So they kept that in this season and I like it.

That’s it for this week’s episode! So the bits that I liked were the individual moments with the kids and their partners, of which we had more than usual but still not nearly enough. Nowhere near. In the end it was still a Taichi episode.

As a Taichi fan... it’s not like I’m ever sad that he gets more focus. But I love ALL the kids and they’re NOT getting development. We do keep getting hints about them but it’s so, so, so slow. To be fair, it’s not like we know THAT much about Taichi either. He gets so much focus because he’s always fighting. This season doesn’t seem concerned with personality and character bits like the 99 one, and I am gonna compare them for that. Because I think that was the heart of the 99 show. Without it, it’s missing something. I keep hoping it’ll come back, we keep getting those hints and special moments here and there, but the plot is such a distraction... if it was like a really good plot maybe I’d care less but...

Next week...  as far as I can see, it’s another Taichi episode xP But I do think they’ll do the same as this episode and intersperse Taichi’s battle with what’s going on with the others too. If that’s how they do it, I won’t mind. It might even be better. Fine, Taichi can fight, as long as the others are showing us more about themselves and getting other things done in the meantime. Mimi and Jou both look promising. Takeru too. Sora and Yamato, not sure..

Koushirou better not just sit at his computer the whole time -___-

23. It's Okay To Not Be Okay

Are you okay? 

How many times did you answered this question truthfully? 

When something happened to us and people tend to get worried, they always asked this question and because we dont want them to keep worrying, I think we always say the wrong answer because its part of being human.

Saying you're okay even if your not has been the problem of people not only today but even years ago. We say okay even if we're hurt physically, mentally or emotionally. Maybe to avoid being pitied, being a burden to others or we just want to look stronger. 

But that's exactly the problem of being human. We say things we dont mean. We always say the complete opposite of what we really mean specially in the moment when someone might also be hurt with to our response.

But it's okay. 

It's okay to not be okay. 

I've watched many movies and series saying that it's not embarrasing to say what you actually feel inside. I'm also currently watching a series about depression and how it can lead to death. And this kinds of series are trying to tells us that taking your own life is not the solution to every problem you kept facing on your own.

It's okay. Everything will be okay. It's nice to hear words like that right specially if it's spoken by someone close to us, right?

This korean drama doesnt only have the best actor to play the part of the main cast but also, they also made the characters connect with the viewers. Every single characters. From the main lead to the last supporting character. No one was a display. Everyone contributed and I think that's what makes a great story.

I think this has been the most meaningful Korean drama I had ever watched, next to Reply 1988 and Itaewon Class. It made me cried every episode. And it clearly deserved the praises it gets every day. 

The whole story was also refreshing because of the fairytales involved in every episodes. The mixture of a story to another story was a great idea of creating a new and unique one, I guess. 

As I said that everyone contributed to the story, I would like to share my thought on each and everyone of them. And I think, this is going to be longer than Itaewon Class or Reply 1988. 

Everyone has their stories to tell and this drama really told everybody's story. I would like to tell everyone's story here but I think, that is too much spoiler. So, I'll just give you what's unique and special about the main cast and some supporting characters.

1. Jae-Su. The ever loyal friend of Gang-Tae. He's like the best best friend anyone dreamed of having. I mean, with his business, you can have free chicken or pizza anytime. But I'm still curious how rich he is. Every time the brothers move, he also moved with them and open and close a business again and again. He felt sometimes felt tired but he never complained because he liked being with them. Following them was not an issue for Jae-su. He can follow them even at the end of the Earth. Because they're family and not blood of surname can keep them from being one. 

He's a very loyal and trustworthy friend. I cant believe he actually followed them for ten years of his life. Maybe that's the result of being too attached. You cant never seem to let go and even if you can, you wont.

2. Mr. Lee Sang-In, the business minded CEO of the publishing company, Ko Mun-yeong worked at but as time passed, he turned out to be a thoughtful and caring person. 

He also stick together with Ko Mun-yeong through the years. He have a kind heart which was buried in his business like stance who only cared about money in the beginning. He was also dependable and always thinks about others even if he doesn't want to. And he looked better without a beard. 

3. After the CEO, let's move over to Seung-Jae which happened to be the most in demand actress I've seen in almost 3 dramas already this year. 

First was in While You Were Sleeping (I think), then in Backstreet Rookie and then here. Anyway, her character her was slow in her work but quick witted when it comes everything not related to work. She's adorably dumb and you'll get to laugh a lot with her and Lee Sang-in's combo. 

She might hate her boss but she doesn't also want him or Ko Mun-yeong to suffer. And also, she don't have anywhere to go to that's why she stick with them. 

4. So, next is Nam Ju-ri. I hate her. 

Wait, let me repeat that. I hated her. Yep. And you'll know why if you watch this or if you had, I'm right, right? 

But, all is well. Maybe because she just want her feelings to be reciprocated. She's actually really nice despite of wanting to be not. She just wanted to lean on someone other than her mother. She's lonely. She worked taking care of others and she just wanted someone to take care of her too. We all wanted that right. 

5. Let's not forget the mother of all, Kang Soon-duk.

She had appeared in a lot of dramas. She would be this rich mother who don't want her soon to like a poor girl, the mother from a simple family who often beat her child out of love, the cool mom where everyone would dreamed of. She had been named as ‘the ultimate eommoni/mother’. 

She was effective. But anyway, her character here is the mother of not only one child but the mother of everyone in the drama. She takes care of the three lead, her daughter, her tenant and everyone in the hospital. It was tiring for someone like her but also magical because she was able to do it. 

6. Director Oh has been a great part of the whole drama.

Even though he looked and sounded like a not effective doctor sometimes, everything he says made sense. He often look foolish but he's the smartest fool in the hospital. 

After the supporting has been called for, let's move to the three musketeers–I mean, the three main cast. The emotionless princess, the masked boy and the boy trapped in the box or simple Ko Mun-yeong, Moon Gang Tae and Moon Sang Tae.

Three lonely people brought together to became whole. Who said two is better than one. Make it three for more fun. 

It was chaotic. That's the description for the three. A crazy girl, a calm but explosive guy and an adult but living in a kid's personality.

Watching this drama felt like you're about to go crazy too. After crying in an intense scene, you'll catch yourself laughing after and serious the next minute. I mean, every Korean drama does that. That's why everyone has the k-drama virus. Everyone is crazy now.

Anyway, Sang-Tae or the boy in the trapped box. 

He's a special trait that makes him different from others. He tend to think as a child sometimes but he's also talented and smart. He might act like a kid but you'll also be surprised of how he can be an adult. 

He loved his brother so much but also hates him to which is natural for brother right? 

He happened to have a severe trauma which add to the burden of his brother but as the brave brother he is, he wanted to overcome it and be the adult he really is. His characters was really inspiring and heartwarming. His presence gives off a ray of sunshine. I admire the actor who played him because he played it well. I hope if he will ever get an award for it. I really hope he will. 

After the boy trapped in the box, let's talk about the Emotionless Princess whose not really emotionless but full of emotions and craziness.

Ko Mu-yeong's characters gave the drama full of craziness and funny sides. Her adult lines and provoking scenes are the best. She totally likes provoking Gang-tae and even though it's all scripted, it was so funny that it can be remembered all the time. Some scene had become memes now. 

Ko Mun-yeong's characters was tough and powerful but behind that, she's still a girl whose scared and defenseless when no one's watching. She found sanctuary and safety when she met Gang-tae. For the first time, she wanted to be taken care of after all the years of not feeling anything. 

She's lonely and constantly in pain from the past. She's still the little girl stuck in the castle waiting for someone to rescue her. 

And lastly, Moon Gang-tae, our masked boy. 

I think he's the complete opposite of Peter Pan. He needed to grew up faster than anyone to take care of his brother. He didn't had time to be a kid or to enjoy his youth because of the only family he have. 

He cursed the life he had until finally he understand and accepted the reason why he had to have this family. It maybe crazy and a handful, it's still worth fighting for. 

All he wanted was everyone to be safe with his care and even set aside his own dreams for it. He regretted not doing his dreams but he's contented with everything he had at the moment and that's all that matters. 

Life might throw stones at you from time to time to test if your strong enough to conquer it not to avoid it. 

And if something doesn't feel right, don't be afraid to talk about it. You'll be surprise of the result once you let it all out. Never be afraid to let people in and also let them go. The end might also be the start of a new beginning.

Seriously, watch this. It's a must! Maybe 10 years from now, people will look back how great this drama was and even though 2020 was the worst year of all, this was made in that year. It will be part of history.

Do You Outline?: i do and i don't? for long fics like a big bang i do; those can get up to a few pages long. but mostly i don't like to plan fics out in too much detail, i find it restrictive. i'm a much more loosey goosey kind of writer. i take notes if i have an idea for a scene later in the fic, but for most of my work that's the extent of my outlining process

Complete: isn't this the vision that you wanted and we had a moment, we had a summertime are both complete, though vision is the first part in a series. everything else (excepting the answer to the next question) is a one-shot.

Assurance of My Stay & Special Announcements

Hey there. I hope that y’all are doing well today. I don’t know how many of my friends and followers are still here after The Great Purge not long ago, but to the ones who do see this it’s good to see you! I hope we can talk some time. 

So I wanted to tell you guys some important things, and I won’t prolong it and will just get into it.

Ahem...

So first off - one of the reasons why I’ve been almost nonexistent here on Tumblr is because I’ve been busy with writing commissions and looking for steady work. The whole ban on risque content for Tumblr didn’t help either. Then we have the world wide pandemic of the C-Virus which really kicked things up from ten to ten thousand. And in between all of that I have been dealing with a...rough situation, to say the least of it, in my personal life that is still ongoing. I won’t go into the gory details but I’ll say that it’s the primary reason for looking for steady work in order to make enough money to get my own place. Having explained all of this I want you all to know I’m not trying to purposely keep away from you. Nor do I plan to leave Tumblr even with the ban. I just got important things to focus on. 

But I still love all of you and didn’t forgot you! It’s my end goal to finally get at least my work load done and be able to come back to Tumblr and try to enjoy the site once more. And if you’re all willing to accept me again that would make it even better. So yeah. This about covers the announcement that I am truly alive.

Now, onto some cheerful news I want to share with y’all. 

For the past two years I have been working on revising the plot, world setting and characters of my original light novel series. It’s been a long and grueling process but immensely fulfilling. And I think you’ll really enjoy this light novel series. At the moment I am currently working with @lucy-dont-give-a-fuck to make the character artwork for the main characters first and foremost. After that we’ll work on the other artwork needed for the pilot. And in between all of that I’ll be writing the story of said pilot. I can’t go into more detail than that but I will say that once things are done and sorted I’ll be posting a link to a crowdfunding page where you all can donate to support the project. It’s my goal to make the pilot both available in physical print and also put it up on Tapas for people to view it digitally in case you can’t come to the locations I’ll be selling it.  That’s cheerful news bit #1. Cheerful news bit #2 involves a fanfic remake and the mass editing of another fanfic. The fanfic that I’m going to remake is an old Tygra/Lion-O alternate universe fanfiction I made based on the 2011 Thundercats reboot series. Which, by the way, is criminally underrated and did not deserved to be cancelled on such a cliffhanger as it was. They should have focused on that instead of giving us the trash that is Thundercats Roar. Regardless - that’s the fanfic I plan to remake. Having grown as a writer I’ve developed a better plot for it and plan to delete the old version and replace it with a new one. I will post it exclusively to Archive Of Our Own and FanfictionNet. Now to go over the mass editing of a different story, Batman Beyond: The Heir. It really amazed me how many people liked that fic so much. And I’m ashamed of my for neglecting it like I have. Again this has to do with work and other major things that have gone on in my life that make updating stories difficult. But I plan to continue that story! Before that however I need to do a lot of editing with the current chapters and fix some mistakes, clear up loose ends, ect. So be sure to stay tuned for more Rex/Terry goodness! Additionally I will be likewise editing my Thief/Dishonored crossover story Business & Pleasure so that I can continue that as well. I also got a lot of new one-shots I plan to put out to keep you guys entertained in the meantime. I got other fanfics in the work as well. Also to anyone who still likes Voltron: The Legendary Defender and likes Lotor/Keith or James/Keith please do reach out to me! It’s so hard to find people who like either pairing as a genuine couple and not as hateful exes or with Lotor or James being a creepy stalker to Keith. And I got stories and headcanons planned for them, too. Lastly - I want to put out a notice that I’ll be editing and completely revamping some of my old Justice League: Gods & Monsters character biographies. I’ve recently found myself reconnecting with the franchise and after delving more into DC lore and media I came up with some new ideas. So expect changes on that end too. I will probably end up reblogging old character biographies I edit and making posts for new, revamped bios. And don’t worry. I’ll make bios for new characters, too! I can honestly say that I have evolved a great deal in my writing skills and have learned many new techniques to make my stories better for my audience, you lovely people, to enjoy! If you don’t want to stick around though I can understand that. I have been gone for a long time. But if you guys do want to see how much I’ve improved with my work then I’m happy to share in my journey with you.

Those two antis are so completely lost, it’s like it’s own comedy sketch. A lot of antis of the old days would also say that they hate “yaoi” (BL) because of the overzealous fans, but what a coincidence they seem to completely ignore the drama that shippers of het ships can get into and how they never even mention the genre itself. If your entire reason to hating something is because the fans of it seems bad to you... I am sorry, then you shouldn’t like anything popular at all ever, because garanteed ALL big fandom are going to have bullshit on them. Even smaller fandoms too nowadays. If you don’t want to get into something because of the awful fandom, that is another thing that declaring that something as inherently bad. When this person does talk about BL, this is what they say: “I am sick of people like me being called “homophobic,” because we don’t like to see “HOT YAOIZ” in every single damn anime up to the most obscure manga to even the most straightest of men. I have seen actual anime character who have actually confirmed that they are straight, yet fangirls continue to ignore that. And when people do the reverse to gay characters, there is a shitstorm.”  Which sounds to me like complaining about queer content merely existing in fandom in general and like... why does the presence of queer content bothers you so much? This person just completely glosses over that. Also, this claim: 4) If you want to know why they annoy me, check out the fangirls that make up stupid rumors to mislead people. (Like the rumor of Kuroshitsuji originally being a yaoi manga. Yana Toboso KNEW NOTHING ABOUT THAT AND I HAVE PROOF.) It’s really funny considering this: “Recently, the Black Butler creator took to Twitter to share some personal thoughts about the world of boys' love series (via ANN). While the artist did not reference her own work in the post, Toboso did say she is as supportive of queer love stories as she is of straight ones. “Even if they're stories that have homosexual romance (not just those with sexual love), what's interesting is still just interesting, so what's the problem?” the creator tweeted. “It's weird how male couples are immediately labelled as "for fujoshi" and also weird how people will deny them. If you go to the specific tags for specific ships you are going to find shippy content. Same with fandom tags. Do... do you want a medal for that discovery or something? Is this a galaxy brain level I can’t reach? I legit don’t know what point did they thought they were making there. “See people liking stuff! And that will explain why I hate that stuff!” What. Then the second person is saying just complete nonsense.  If you think yaoi is synonymous with gay then yeah, you are a homophobic piece of shit. If you hate yaoi/yuri because it sexualizes gay people and you hate the fans for doing so too then you’d probably be more in the right.   What the actual fuck is that supose to mean. BL is gay content where gay people are protagonists. That is gay. So fucking gay. Gay sex is gay. The Royal Romance

Summary: You are an actress working on a show called ‘The Royal Romance.” and you’re doing an interview talking about it.

A/N:  All the characters belong to Pixelberry. This is apart of my series The Royal Romance, I got bored and decided to write a one shot for it.

The audience cheered and clapped as you made your way onto the stage and took a seat in front of the talk show host. 

“So Y/N Y/L/N is joining us here to talk about her hit show called The Royal Romance,” the woman interviewing you explained to audience both in the studio and watching at home. “Y/N, it’s a pleasure to have you on the show. Thank you for coming,” the older woman smiled. 

“Thank you for having me. It's lovely to be here,” you replied. 

She turned to you a smile on her face. “So Y/N tell us about it because I mean it has done really, really well. So well that it’s been renewed for a second series. Did you know that it was going to do this well? Did you have any idea how much people were going to love it?” 

You thought about your answer for a second, “ No, you never know how something is going to be perceived but I think all the cast had an inkling that it was going to do well,” you explained. 

“But you didn’t think It’d get the response it has gotten?” She asked. 

“No, like I said we all had a good feeling about it but you just never know,” you shrugged. 

“What can you tell us about this series? The last one ended on such a cliffhanger.”

“Yeah, We’ve just started filming again, I can’t really say much but in this season Riley Brooks comes back sort to clear her name and find out who orchestrated the photographs. We kind of see Riley trying to figure out who she is as cliche as that sounds and we see Liam trying to navigate being king and trying to fit in to his new role. I think in a way all the characters are trying to figure out who they are amongst the ‘courtly drama’ as they call it.”

“Do you know who’s behind it?” the host asked. 

I don’t. It seems to be all on a need to know basis. Daniel di Tamasso likes to say he knows but I don’t think he does,” You explained, smiling when you thought over that conversation. 

“In the first series we saw quite the friendship between your and Daniels characters,” the woman said. 

Yeah, we did. There is definitely something there, I can’t speak for Daniel but I’d dont think Drake would ever betray his friend. I think the love Drake has for his best friend holds him back pursuing anything with her. I don’t think it is all romantic between them, they did bond over both being outsiders initially and Riley doesn’t seem to have the same feelings towards Drake as he does her, but we'll see what happens. Like I said it really is about each character figuring out who they are in all of this.”

“We also saw a very good friendship between Riley and Hana, that was an interesting one,” she noted. 

It was, they’re both competitors but that doesn’t seem to affect their relationship in anyway. Riley bonded with her because they are both outsiders. Riley is an American and not nobility whereas Hana is nobility but is from Shanghai, they both have an unfair disadvantage here.”

“You talk about Riley uncovering a plot against her, but isn’t she sort of out of her depth?” She ventured. 

You nodded your head, “Yes, they all are I think. We have Maxwell who invited Riley to Cordonia in the first season and was given the responsibility in the first to sort of mentor this girl and now  he has to help her uncover this plot against her and he still  isn't really trusted by his brother. We then have Drake who is always just been considered as ‘the prince's best friend’ and had never really engaged with court suddenly is. Then we have Liam who was simply the spare and is suddenly king. Hana who has been trained for courtly life but lacks in certain areas, I think her kindness really is used against her. Then we have Olivia who is going to be more involved this season, she’s had a tough life, the loss of her parents then being raised by her aunt who was never there, then living in the palace where she was never really accepted by anyone other than Liam. We have six young adults who if you look past the titles are very ordinary, who are taking on something very big and very dangerous,” you explained. 

The host  nodded, thinking over what you just said, looking down at the note-cards in her lap then back up to you. “Is there any pressure to do better this season, do you think?”

You pondered over it for a moment. Last season had gone down really quite well, so of course there was pressure to do better this time around.  “Yes. I think there is pressure to up our game here a little and do better than we did last time. We’ve finished the first episode and we’ve just gotten the script for the second, I don’t want to jinx it but I think we’re doing it.”

The host looked back down to her notes then back up to you again, “What a lot of people don’t know is that this is a spin off from another two shows.”

“It is,” you nodded, “There’s three series’ in the same universe. We have The Crown And The Flame, Rules Of Engagement and The Royal Romance.”

“Do they ever overlap?” she asked. 

“Yeah, The Crown And The Flame is all about the five kingdoms coming together which make up Cordonia, so what takes place in that does overlap more so in to The Royal Romance. Rules Of Engagement is about a family, who essentially needed to earn their inheritance from their grandmother on a cruise  and the main character, Katie, meets Leo who is Liam’s brother. Then The Royal Romance is everything going on in the kingdom now. We have had a few crossovers with the Rules Of Engagement and vise versa. Mainly Chris Hemsworth who plays Leo, Rupert Everett who plays Constantine, Sara Stuart who plays Regina and Margot Robbie who plays Madeline go in and out of the two shows, whereas our characters are just mentioned. 

The host looked down to her watch then back up to you. “We’re running out of time now, but it was absolutely lovely to have you on the show. Thank you for coming on to talk about the show with us, Y/N.” 

“Thank you for having me,” you grinned.

Ok, time for my review of Kh3 Re:Mind Dlc

This is gonna be long, so be prepared, and yes there will be many spoilers so if you dont want spoilers of the game then you probably shouldnt read this, but if you dont care then stick around.

I will start off with my unbiased and critical opinion.

From the title menu alone you already know what this game is gonna be about. Kairi is gonna be center focus, or should say specifically Sokai, and Riku will be virtually non existent.

Now I know what your thinking, well duh its all about saving Kairi of course Riku wont have that big a role and she’ll be the main focus, and to that I say no shit sherlock I already knew that. My issue isnt that it was Kairi focused because I already knew that and still pre-ordered the DLC, but my issue is what this title screen represents and my fears were proven correct.

Let me elaborate

Riku is just as much of a friend to Sora as Kairi is, from the beginning of the series its always been Sora, Riku, and Kairi, thats the way its ALWASY been. But from this title screen I could tell Riku’s bond with them wasnt gonna be present at all and I was right.

I’ll elaborate further

I know Im jumping way ahead here but bare with me, at the end of the game after Sora rescues Kairi they travel the worlds together, Sora notices he is fading away which is why he goes to the many different worlds he has visited but now with Kairi, spending his final moments with her before he finally disapears.

See the problem? Sora doesnt involve Riku at all in his final moments being alive, he is just completely absent during his entire remaining life. Sora only spends time with Kairi during his final moments, Riku wasnt shown with them once.

I know some people say well we dont know how long Sora was alive before vanishing and he was probably the one who organized the party, but did we see that though? did we see any signs that Sora was alive for more than a day or two? did we see Sora talking to anyone like he was setting anything up? NO, it was all about Kairi and Riku was completely forgotten.

I can understand if Sora wasnt dying then it wouldnt matter how much time he spends with Kairi alone, but Sora was fading away ANY SECOND and he didnt spend any of his remaining time with Riku at all, even at the beach party who is Sora sitting next to alone with before he finally vanishes? Kairi. That is inexcusable and a huge insult to Riku and his bond with Sora, hes just completely excluded, that is unforgivable.

These new added scenes to the ending actually made it worse than the original version of it, before we didnt even know Sora was around for more than a day and just assumed they all had a beach party afterwards to celebrate getting everyone back and saving the world, but now we know Sora was actually around for an extended period of time and made no effort to spend time with anyone other than Kairi, not even his best friend Riku did he spend time with for his final hours, that is despicable.

Another major issue is how Sora keeps saying his journey started with losing Kairi in this game, as if Riku wasnt ALSO lost that day, as if Riku wasnt the reason Sora kept on his journey even after saving Kairi and sending her back to Destiny Islands, as if he didnt fall to his knees and bawl his eyes out finally reuniting with him, as if he wasnt content with spending the rest of his life trapped in the Realm of Darkness with Riku, as if for the entirety of the base game of kh3 Sora wasnt constantly and only thinking about Riku and how many things he wished he could show him.

Apparently in Remind none of that happened, none of that mattered, it was Kairi that was his main motivation, it was Kairi that started his journey, Riku wasnt involved in it at all.

That is a huge issue with this DLC, it treats Riku like a side character and of little importance to Sora, in the base game they handled them fine minus that on instance in the Keyblade Graveyard where Sora says ‘Alone, Im worthless’ even though Riku’s right there but other than that their relationship and bond was handled very well but in Remind? practically non existent.

Now onto the story aspect, if your not into time travel and have trouble understanding the many variations of it then your gonna have a bad time because it gets VERY confusing to follow, which is why you should never introduce time travel because it becomes way too complicated to keep track of and not only that you also have to worry about things like paradoxes, ripples in time, alternate timelines etc. Its a complete clusterfuck to keep up with and manage so time travel really shouldnt have been introduced in this series.

Chirithy tells Sora that no matter what he cant change the past again, yet there are times where Sora does just that so exactly what cant he change? for example, when Roxas appears he asks Sora to do him a favor which is essentially getting the X back from Xemnas in their names. Sora does several things to make this happen and even Kairi gets a couple swings at Xemnas this time but then the two of them are basically caught and restrained inside shadow balls [pause]

See the prob? this is a huge change to that fight, Kairi never took a single swing at Xemnas, she just stood there and got snatched up, Roxas never asked Sora for help getting the X’s back from Xemnas, and Sora and Kairi never got restrained by Xemnas and knocked out.

Chirithy explicitly said Sora cant change what happened and no matter what he has to accept it for what it is, yet here he is, changing what happened. Maybe you could argue well this is an alternate timeline, even if it is that makes all of this irrelevant and means it never happened because the true ending is the one where it didnt happen, making this semi useful Kairi moment really pointless because at the end of the day its not canon, her being useless is the true outcome, none of this matters.

That is extremely disappointing, so even if you alter the past for the better it doesnt matter because its an alternate timeline and that timeline isnt the real one making this whole redo pointless and time consuming for a short DLC that was an extra 30$ to play.

So the time travel is very confusing and even if you follow it, it ends up being very disappointing when you realize none of it matters.

Moving on to some of the tied loose ends, Im glad they explained why Aqua froze up after saying ‘We stand together’ and I like how we get to see how Young Xehanort came to have the beliefs that lead to what he did and also MOMs subtle influence on him succumbing to darkness.

He told Xehanort that he would outgrow the robe and no longer need it because if he was truly powerful then he’d be the one controling the darkness, this leads to Xehanort later begining to travel without the robe and being corrupted. So we know now that MOM also influenced that as well and is very sketchy, even more now than he was before since this action greatly influenced what Xehanort eventually does and all the pain he caused, all of which would have probably never happened if it wasnt for him.

But thats just my theory and what I got from it.

I liked that we got to see Namine for a brief moment where Sora basically brushes her off and completely forgets about thanking her, this is a plotline Im pretty sure at this point is just never going to get resolved. He just tells her to go to the Final World and walks off, which makes no sense because Sora was surprised to see her in the original playthrough.

Another change was Lingering Will dying to protect Sora, again this never happened because Sora was busy fighting alongside everyone in the maze while Lingering Will and Terranort were fighting away from them. After Lingering Will died for him then Sora is pretty much squeezed to death by Terranorts Stand, or atleast knocked unconscious.

So much about these are just so confusing as to how they are happening when Chirithy said the events couldnt be changed I just stopped questioning it.

But atleast this time its made clear that Namine is the one who sent Lingering Will to help everyone and how she did it, so now people can stop saying Kairi is the reason everyone survived because it wasnt, without Lingering Will they would have all died a second time.

Basically the first half of the DLC is just recap with some minor changes and additions to the cutscenes, you get to play as other characters like Riku [optional] Aqua [not optional] and Roxas [optional] but other than that its basically the same thing all over again for the first 3-4 hours of the DLC, that is ridiculous.

The new content finally starts when Kairi is shattered, funny how the game gets good after Kairi dies xD I’ll stop.

Anyway once Kairi dies is when we finally get explorable Scala, but not without having to endure an insane fight with tons of heartless and nobodies and yes its more complicated than you think. It doesnt matter how many heartless or nobodies you kill, they will keep coming until you kill this one red heartless with way more health than your average heartless has.

After that you can pretty much wander around Scala as you wish and this is the only time where you can buy items or food so make sure to do that if your low on items. If your low on money there are minor enemies there that you can kill to get some so take advantage of this opportunity because your not getting another one.

Your goal in Scala is to basically run around, solve a couple puzzles, and get 5 of Kairi’s heart shards, revealed to having to be 7 later on. Sound fun? besides being able to see more of Scala’s layout, not really. But its a good place to take a breather before getting back into the big battles ahead.

Unfortunately your actually forced to fight the armored organization again but thankfully you dont have to do the ENTIRE final battle over, just that one section which I appreciate but wish we didnt have to do any of it at all.

So after we’re done Scala we get in MY opinion the two best parts of the entire DLC. We get to see what was going on with the rest of the keyblade wielders back home and it was INSANE and extremely well done, everybody had a chance to shine.

When everyone was swept away and Mickey was down and out, it was amazing seeing Mickey push himself back up and slowly with what little strength he had take on all the armor organization BY HIMSELF severely weakened, yet still powerful enough to hold them off and stand his ground. He really showed us WHY he is the King, so THAT I really enjoyed. It was extremely well done and one of the most memorable parts of the DLC.

The next part was even more insane and well done, which is us getting to fight as all the keyblade wielders against the armored organization and even get some cool dialog and team attacks in between, it was just amazingly well done seeing everyone work together and switching between characters was just so epic and enjoyable.

Honestly I could play those two parts over and over again and enjoy it everytime, their just that good and the most memorable in the entire DLC.

Coming back with Kairi and killing Xehanort together with all the keyblade wielders including Kairi this time was satisfying to see but it excludes Xehanorts and Eraquses final words, I mean yea seeing Xehanort have a semi happy ending put off alot of people but at the same time, seeing Xehanort come to the realization that he was wrong about everything and giving the Wayfinder trio closure by seeing their master one last time and hearing his apology to them just held more weight to me.

Im not saying I think Xehanort should be redeemed as easily as he was, but I feel like excluding Eraqus and their final words made the ending feel hollow, just ok we beat the bad guy, happily ever after now. Thats pretty lackluster and unsatisfying In my opinion.

Finally the ending....

Heres where Im gonna be biased and give my personal thoughts. Warning if your a fan of Kairi skip to the very end of the review where I give my overall rating

I hate the ending, for the reasons I listed in the beginning but also many others. I get the main focus was gonna be Kairi since the DLC was about saving her, Im not mad about the obvious, Im mad about the execution.

The Sokai agenda was so forced and apparent its not even funny, they shove it in your face so hard yet when Sora is talking with Chirithy he still refers to Kairi as a friend, really? your shoving this pairing down our throats just to have Sora still friendzone her? Im not mad because I dont want them together anyway but I hate the games being played here, you either want them together or you dont, pick a friggin side Nomura.

And while we’re on the subject, I hate, HATE, how this game is so heavily romance focused when Kingdom Hearts was NEVER about romance to begin with, it was always about friendship and bonds. Not in this DLC though, no now its all about Kairi and being with her forever, traveling the world together, holding hands, all this lovey dovey nonsense nobody invested in the plot could give a rats behind about.

Sure people who are into Kingdom Hearts for the romance of course they dont mind, but Im pretty sure MOST people invested in this series are in it for the story, not some stupid pairing, and I HATE how much they shove it down your throat because it is just so forced and obvious what they were doing.

This was all damage control for Kairi, who has been a useless damsel in distress and dues ex machina in every single game shes been a part of. I repeat, EVERY SINGLE GAME SHES A PART OF.

Kh1 - Kidnapped, unconscious, Sora needs to die to save her.

Kh2 - Kidnapped, held hostage, Sora needs to find and save her.

Kh3 - Kidnapped, unconscious, is killed twice, Sora needs to die to save her.

Do you see what I fricken mean? Every fuckin game its the same danm thing over and over and quite frankly Im sick of it. You might as well say this is a Mario game because Kairi is princess Peach always gettin snatched up and Sora is Mario always going through insanely deadly trials to get her back, and then it happens all over again.

This DLC was damage control for that, instead of immediately getting snatched up by Xemnas she actually gets a few good swipes at him to no avail of course, and then she fights together with Sora against armored Xehanort, all of which is just damage control for her not doing anything in the entire franchise and pandering to her fanbase that are constantly screeching for playable Kairi and for her to do something.

It was also damage control for how non existent their relationship was and what a joke its been since Kh1. They arent fooling anybody because thats exactly what this was, otherwise why you have to try so hard to CONVINCE us how important she was to Sora? why did Riku have to get sidelined so much just to boost Kairi up? why’d Sora completely disregard Riku as a part of his journey? why did Sora not spend ANY time with ANYONE for his final moments alive? its so obvious why. The only way to convince anyone shes actually important and relevant is to play down everyone else or exclude them entirely.

The time they spent forcing so much Sokai could have been used to tie up way more loose ends than there were but nope, gotta squeeze in that Sokai, thats what yall really here for right? fuck off.

The two best moments of the game was so short lived its not even funny, this DLC was full of so much padding in the first half, forced romance and pandering for damage control they forgot to actually make this a decent DLC.

Since I recorded my gameplay from start to finish I can actually tell you the amount of old content vs the new

3-4 hours of mostly what we already seen with a few changes, I only died twice

1-2 hours of new content, probably less because I got lost and died alot

That is unacceptable, 30$ for only 10% new content? that is a robbery.

Not only that but the worst part is the Limitcut episode, databattles have always been optional for competative players who like the challenge. Now you are FORCED to fight these INSANELY hard bosses, all 13 in order to get the final bits of the aftermath of the story.

WE PAID FOR THIS, this wasnt free we PAID for it and yet we’re basically told ‘Hey if your a casual player and want the rest of the story? well you gotta fight 13 of these insanely hard databattles that used to be optional but now their madatory for you to get the rest of your moneys worth. Too difficult? cant do it? well too danm bad, get good or go home we got your money already so screw you guess you’ll never know’

That is a fucking robbery and a huge slap in the face to people who are invested in the story, not proving their the best by fighting insanely difficult battles no matter what difficulty your on. It wouldnt be an issue if this was always the case, but these battles were always OPTIONAL for competetive players to do if they WANTED to, but now its mandatory and if you cant do it then oh well middle finger to you.

I couldnt even beat Vanitas, I fought him first and then Luxord and I couldnt beat either of them so I just said fuck it and went on youtube to see what I paid to see for free. 30$ wasted on a game I cant even finish, your out of your fucking mind if you think thats fair and excusable.

Thats why at the end of the day I give it a 5/10, its not good but its not bad either, its just decent. But if you asked me if it is worth the time and money? fuck no, my advice? watch other youtubers play it and keep your 30$

If you want it just to play as some of the characters, experience the new content for yourself, and play the databattles then by all means get it.

But if you think thats not enough for you to spend 30$ for then dont get it.

Overall Re:mind gets a 5/10, useless padding for majority of the first half of things we’ve already seen and cant skip because theres new scenes mixed in, forced romance that nobody but shippers care to see, severely lacking new content, and unfair extremely hard mandatory databattles just to see the final aftermath of the story which is kind of important setup for the next game.

Fuck this DLC, this was my fist time EVER buying a DLC for ANYTHING and thanks to this its probably my last. So thank you Re:Mind, for ReMinding me why I never bought DLCs in the first place.

Ps - Im so glad playable Kairi was optional, thats one of the only things this DLC did right.

Hello half valid anon here (i like my nickname 😂). I got through all your fics and they were all great. Right now im just reading a lot of poi fanfics and watch fanvids cause i can't accept that the series is over 😂 --- i know what you mean about fics affecting you negatively. I had this with 13rw (the Show and some fics) everything was so dark and hopeless that i had to stop watching it. I also love to seek out fics where someone is hurt so i can feel my pain through the characters (1)

But i try to read only fics with lots of comfort so it kinda feels like i get comforted as well (dont know if that makes sense). If it makes you uncomfortable or if its unhealthy for you to write about this i completely understand and i dont mean to come of as pushing you to write. I just hope whatever you do will be the right decision for you! As for you feeling suicidal im sorry to hear that. Let me know if there is ever anything i can do to help! I wish i could say sth more comforting but Im not super good with words :( i just hope you have people in your life that support you! 💛

At first it seems she doesnt care about anything at all but thats not exactly the Case. There was an episode with Shaw and a little girl (3x5) and i really loved it (have you seen that one?).

I really think Shaw would grow on you (especially since in the beginning she does a lot with John) but then again a lot of her later scenes include Root so im not sure. Yes i love that there were never any romantic undertones with her and John!!

as for John being good with people: YES!! he is always so compassionate and such a great listener as well. I especially like him with children. John and the baby were so cute or John with the boy who offered to pay for him. John + Kids was always a great combination and i wished we would have seen it more often. Also regarding children we did we never got to see a John Taylor scene after Carters death? I needed that!

yes John the badass is also amazing! His character has so many different sides and i love him so much!!

i think Grace Harold was really cute but i dont really see a future for them, i mean he lied to her for so long! but then again they really loved each other so idk maybe they work it out. Im also not into John/Harold/Grace but like you said good for the people who like the ship :)

Oh boi 13rw is so cursed, can't believe I watched all of the 1st season 😬 I remember being afraid of the suicide scene making me uncomfortable but it was so cringe, unrealistic and just bad that I wasn't even that uncomfortable, I cringed when she cut her arms but that's it.

Yeah big mood I project a lot on comfort fics as well. For suicide fics, I think it also depends on how the fics adress the subject. It's something that is complicated to write. If I read a suicide fic with no recovery I'm gonna project but feel like shit. But with recovery, I can project into the recovery as well so it's better ! I read a really good ace attorney fic showing Miles recovering after a suicide attempt, it was thoughtful and didn't fall into the pitfalls of magical super fast recovery/love heals everything, and some lines stuck with me, it was really good and comforting. But yeah if it's just a suicide/suicide attempt then I don't think it's good for me (but sometimes I still read it bc I'm a Dumb Bitch).

It was in a way its own character and its forced abandonment/destruction really hit me (fucked me up when they broke that glass board). It says something that it's one of the few things I remember from S3 along with Carter's death and 4C. I loved it a lot, it was a cornerstone of the show. It was a safe place, a home for Harold and John (and Bear !). I love when they're together in there, I love this cracked glass board, this yellow stained glass in the windows !!! (at least I assume it's stained glass ?), these lights, Bear's cushion, the whole cozy/safe/isolated feelings, just absolutely everything. And yeah later they have the subway, idk when it's introduced I don't remember if it's early enough for me to have watched it. And maybe it's nice, I can't judge rn. But it's like trying to give me a new MC after a MCD, make him as nice as you want I'll be clutching the previous MC until I die. Gkfkfkff I went overboard and off topic but I just love the library ok

Final Day, Rapunzel's tangled adventure Countdown, Destinies Collide (and a brief recap of the past 5 episodes)

So before I get to Destinies Collide.. I failed on writing for all the episodes since Rapunzel day one, With inktober starting, and then the double day with Mirror Mirror and Your Kidding me I just got completely thrown off for time and haven't been as involved in the Countdown as i wanted to... and unfortunately with only one hour left of the Countdown I wont be able to write anything individual for the past 5 episodes... But I will say I loved all of those episodes so much and they are all some of my favorites! I love Rapunzel Day one cause it adressed feelings and also i loved all the references, my only complaint was that it lacked new dream content that i expected... Mirror Mirror is so cool and creepy and just a great episode no complaints, Your kidding me slaughtered me with New dream parent feels and i was overwhelmed with happiness and i also had no complaints, Rapunzeltopia is epic with so much Zhan tiri stuff, my only complaint was that it was rushed and I didn't appreciate Varian being in the description and not in the episode.....and Lost and Found is my favorite normal length episode in S2... its so good I love Demantatus and seing a Eugene birthday ep and all the new dream greatness... also I SAID HEREEEEE.

So destinies collide....

I waited a really long time for a Eugene centric tentpole episode, and this episode knocked my freaking socks off. Eugene is a prince! Which i must say congratulations and how happy I still am for @darkprince-eugene for predicting it all months in advance!

So, I had mixed feelings about Eugene being a prince at first though my reaction was very positive... I feel like it was excuted very well and Edmund is literally so amazing so I think its worth it and I do partially like the clicheness of it. It just offers a lot so I like DPE. I think it was excuted well cause Eugene didn't accept it and it led him to personal conflicts after he finally felt happy with who he was. Also Eugenes solo still breaks my heart in half and crushes my soul like a grape cuz its so dang good!!! And also we found out Eugenes parents and saw baby Eugene so AAAAAAAAAAAAAH

I loved With you by my side, tho for some reason I cant explain I never got super attached to that song and its not in my top songs of the series, like it may be in top 10 but idk... I love it so much its just not as good as some of the others for me and it just makes me really sad XD I watched it today and cried cuz Cass isnt gonna be in the main group this season so it hurts. Its a beautiful song with beautiful harmonies but its really sad. And I just love Everything I ever thought I knew so much its the song I waited 8 years for and it didn't disappoint... its animated beautifully, its heartbreaking, and its beautiful. Zachary Levi killed it.

Hah.. so MOONSANDRA. I still dont know how I feel about Moonsandra, she looks AWESOME! But until I know the reasoning why Cassandra did it then I can't give an opinion. If Cass had a good reason for it then I will love it but if its a poor reason then I feel like Cassandras character development will have been thrown out sooo I really hope she had a very good reason for this! (I was a little salty she stole Eugenes thunder tho, he FINALLY got that episode and Cass stole the spotlight along with the moonstone XD)

So some of my opinion on this episode greatly depends on S3? Though I love this episode it might be my favorite! Its honestly way too hard to pick out of any of the S2 tentpoles.

Lance got so many great moments in this episode, MY BOI DESERVED IT! Also the part in the gondola and he flirted with Cassandra I freaking fangirled so hard and my Lance × Cass shipping self was very happy with this episode X)

Edmund... I love Edmund so much, he is so awkward and charming and absolutely trying his best to get Eugene to like him and I love that, Im so excited for Return of the King to see them interact more!!!

The angst on this episode hit hard... i was emotional the whole time with the songs, Eugene and Rapunzel's conflict, Eugenes personal doubts, Cassandra's betrayal. IT HURT.

Yeah so I love this episode, a lot. Not only for the Eugene content I just thought it was great.

HIStory’s ranked (no one asked, but here i go)

so i was sittin here, talkin to myself about the HIStory series’ and was like ‘hey, i should rank them’ (which i’ve seen a few other people do, but mines a lot more rambling than there’s because i can’t shut up lol) 

so here’s my views lol (ordered from worst to best, imo):

6) My Hero (HIStory1) -

probably universally acknowledged as the worst episode, and i’d be inclined to agree with the masses on this lol... not only is the tone and humour of this series so weird and disjointed, but the entire story line literally makes no sense lol?? it’s unclear who the audience should be rooting for (especially as it goes out of it’s way to paint our protagonist as really unlikable lol, not to mention the love interest is the dullest character ever conceived like ???), as well as this the ending feels completely unrelated and bizarre... 

i think this concept /could/ have worked if the guy the woman was inhabiting (which sounds weird without context, but like she’s dead lol) was somehow also inside his head? or if she got to see his memories or whatever & tries to adjust her personality to match the guy’s, causing love interest!dude to fall in love with the guy... (like i could go into more detail, i basically hav an entire au written in my head lol, but yh...)... that way, her letting go of him in the end would feel so much more well set up? especially if she was generally more understanding and likeable.. 

i think overall this series just fails in telling a decent story lol... & the cringe is even beyond what i can handle lol

5) Obsessed (HIStory1) -

people might be surprised to see this one so low down, especially since i know a lot of people really love this series (& if u do, no hate to u btw, ur allowed to like whatever u want idc), but i realllllly don’t like this series... like at all ...

the plot is weird anyway, which isnt inherently a bad thing, but then u add on the really bad couple and it’s just...... bad lol... like everything about their relationship is built on lies and deceit, and even more so than that it’s built on a lack of mutual respect and fundamental trust for each other! tall guy (i don’t know names soz) feigns memory loss in order to get closer to short guy (btw, the scenes with them being domestic were really sweet, & i firmly believe this could have been an alright series for the actors if the story line wasn’t so bad), short guy’s whole existence in that universe was a lie lol (like i know there’s no easy way to tell someone ‘lol well i’m technically from the future’ but still), then there’s the whole resolution at the end & it’s just so ??? frustrating lol!

nothing bugs me more than seeing conflict in relationships (on screen or irl) that could be solved simply by TALKING TO EACH OTHER GODDAMNIT & isnt lol... my other issue with this series is the fact tall guy 100% forced himself upon short guy in the tent & like we’re just supposed to accept it cos ?? he’s saying no and pushing away but actually he wants it because he loves tall guy ?? like fuck no i’m not accepting that lol! 

basically, bad & bizarre story & characters, & gross tropes just makes this hard for me to watch and enjoy lol... i think, like in my hero, this could’ve done with being a different story altogether lol... (maybe tall guy actually did lose his memory & he falls for short guy all on his own with no predatory intentions?? idk something like that)

4) Right or Wrong (HIStory2)

this one & my number 3 are very much tied tbh, but this one is just slightly lower just because i’m not as big into the couple as i know a lot of people are... & it’s not necessarily the age gap, cos i dont actually mind age gaps in pairings (just as long as the younger one isnt a minor, obv... and also i think any gap that’s 30+ years is a bit weird lol..).. i think my big problem with this is i dont really see why younger guy (again, i have no idea of any of these characters’ names lol) would fall for the older guy? like the older guy is obvs going thru some issues, and hasnt been taking care of himself or his kid properly because of them, but like we dont rly see a lot of why he’s a great guy? like we get the sense young guy is attracted to him, but like love is more than just thinkin they’re hot lol... idk lol this might just be me tbh i just couldnt see why he’d be interested lol

i did like the whole family side though, and showing how a man who was previously with a woman can still end up with a guy (bisexualityyyyy (or some variation of that thereupon)) is something you dont always see in media, so i thought that was pretty cool! (even if the ex-wife thing was kinda lame lol...) 

i think overall i see what this series was going for, and that it actually did an alright job in some parts... the biggest problem is that it’s kinda just forgettable lol... maybe that’s why people like obsessed so much lol? maybe it was a train wreck but ohh boy at least u wont forget it in a hurry lol!

3) Stay Away From Me (HIStory1) -

i’m a bit torn about this one, cos there are parts of it i actually really like (them going from rivals/enemies to being good friends to being more), and other parts i really didnt (the stereotypical squealing yaoi fangirl friend)... & tbh, i kinda wish this had just been a show about the budding friendship between the 2 guys... it almost feels too forced to me that they’re made to ‘fall in love’ when i actually think them both becoming less selfish and learning to respect each other as step brothers & friends is actually already a really great story (& i know that it doesnt fit with the whole ‘HIStory’ thing, but stories of platonic brotherhood/’bromance’ are just as important as gay representation... isnt a /substitute/ for representation, don’t get me wrong, but it’s always so beautiful to see decently portrayed non-toxic friendships between guys... ok this is a rant for another day tho shhh)

i think maybe why i like this one more than the other HIStory1′s is because kinda nothing happens lol... it’s not overly complex with weird unexplained magic things happening, it’s just a simple story lol... is it still tropey as hell? of course lol! but i think the ‘realism’ of the world really helps, and i def think this was incorporated more into HIStory 2, which i’m really glad about...

overall, this is a relatively harmless series & is actually quite sweet at times... the kiss is awkward as fuck tho (there, i said it lol...)... it suffers the same forgetability as right or wrong tho... 

2) Crossing the Line (/Boundary Crossing) (HIStory2) -

ok, so here’s a series i 100% love & totally agree with the hype around lol! i hav no interest in volleyball (or any sports tbh), but the way this show handles the friendships and dynamics between the characters is really well done, especially for a series that’s only 8 episodes long! i also really love that none of the characters really fall into any stereotypes (which is a great improvement from HIStory1 i can tell u lol), and are given the space to actually have some growth & nuance at times?! 

(nuance? in MY HIStory series?? it’s more likely than you think!)

the main couple have really amazing chemistry, and the way they get together doesnt feel too out of place or that it’s going to fast, it just sorta flows really nicely... even the side couple are pretty well done (though i wasnt that big into them on my first watch, just cos the whole overbearing older brother thing was kinda annoying... i liked them more as the series went on tho...)

i kinda dont have any major complaints? which is bizarre cos i always hav complaints about things lol... maybe my complaint would be that they all look way too old and attractive to be whatever teenage age they’re supposed to be lol... (but tbh that doesnt take anything away from the story so i’ll forgive them lol...)... i think maybe i wouldnt consider it my favourite because the story line didnt grab me like the number 1... but i really cant fault it in terms of what it delivers lol, legit such a well put together series!

1) Trapped (HIStory3) -

lol i think anyone who’s been following me for the past few months aren’t in the slightest bit surprised this is my number one... i just love it too much lol!

from the incredibly well written and well acted characters, to the interesting and engaging (even if a bit ridiculous) plot, to the beautifully told romance , it really has it all doesn’t it!!! & i think even if this wasnt an enemies to lovers thing (aka one of the most godtier of all fanfic tropes), there’s so many things going for this series that make it worth watching! i have a few complains about editing choices and a few bad trope plot points which were just unnecessary (plus the fact we missed out on a lot of background info on some major characters lol...), but like despite everything this series rly struck a chord with me deep down in my soul lol

i could go waaay more into detail (and maybe i will one day lol... tho not rn, i’m v tired), but the gist of the matter is: i really love trapped lol

(conclusion)

Even though i’ve complained quite a bit here, i am so grateful for the HIStory series’ for bringing really interesting, and a little mad, stories with gay characters and story lines, with a big emphasis on happy endings! there are so many lgbt stories/characters in things that end up dying or just have bad endings, which just sends this horrible message that lgbt people aren’t worthy of having happy endings, which is completely untrue! 

So i look forward to future HIStory’s, even if some of them are gonna be bad (& maybe none will live up to the trapped!shaped bullet firmly lodged in my heart lol)
