I LOVE REUNICLUS !! when I play through unova I usually pick one up!

Solei would love Sunflora and 100% cry during Brassius' gym challenge where you have to collect a bunch of them. I mean, I definitely did. Those fuckers are adorable. They'd also be really sad that Sunflora isn't competitively viable and pretty weak 😭

They're very fond of normal, fire and grass types. There's a lot of variety in pokemon, so they don't have a strong favorite. They're fond of basically everything! 100% would go ballistic over collecting the trading cards

Actively avoiding eye contact now embarrassed to admit something so personal. "I don't really believe in that. I know it sounds stupid. But I think it should be up to the trainer and Eevee what they evolve into and trading Eeveelutions feels... Cruel to me. Sorry if it's disappointing... But here. If you like you can have this too." They look back to Kotone as they hand her a leaf stone. "He's a little hasty, tends to run head long into things. Which kinda reminded me of... Well someone you know very well." There's a little knowing smirk when they say that. "But uhh... I thought he might make a good Leafeon. Ultimately though I think you and him should decide what he becomes. It's an important choice, so work together. Okay?"

DPxDC Pokémon Teams (click for clarity)

I looked at the poll, and while most people wanted spoilers, a lot of people also wanted only a little spoilers, so instead of the original 8 I was going to reveal, I revealed 4 Pokémon teams :D this will be the team’s final evolved forms, not the form they’re introduced in btw (Example: Chansey eventually evolves into a Blissey but in a future installment)

I also have a challenge for you guys! You’re not required to participate, but those who do can get a drawing from me of their fav Pokémon and DP/DC character (I will make it DPxDC if it’s only a DC character, but y’know.)

EXTREMELY LONG NOTES ON POKÉMON TEAMS I’M BEING FR:

+ Danny’s team consists of (Hisuian) Zorua, Dartrix, Gengar, and Froslass. Zorua and Gengar were caught by himself, while Dartrix was given to him as a Rowlet by a friend and Froslass was given to him by Frostbite :3

+ Jazz’s team consists of Sylveon, Blissey, and Aegislash. She got an Eevee from the Pokémon center as a starter and harassed the people there until they gave her an egg too. It opened into a Happiny, which she then evolved herself. She also caught a Honedge herself and it later evolved twice. The Marshadow occasionally follows her, but is never officially caught by her (and never will, prob. It's a reference to Shadow that I will explain later). She technically only has 3 Pokémon.

+ Dani's team consists of Mimikyu, Arcanine, and Gyarados. She found each of them while homeless and traveling. Mimikyu and Magikarp were picked up by her bc she pitied them, while Arcanine came as is, since it was a failed police dog and then abandoned. Magikarp eventually evolved.

+ Jason's team consists of Absol, Ceruledge, Volcarona, Drakloak (and a Dreepy), and Annihilape. All Pokémon but Absol were found during his training at the League of Assassins, or afterwards when he came to Gotham. Absol is the only Pokémon he has left from his childhood.

+ Danny's team was basically left unchanged for a while lmaooo. The only thing I did was add Rowlet, which is a reference to Spooky the owl.

+ Jazz is the same, I only added Honedge after a little more planning. At first, she was also supposed to have a Steelix (which would make her Pokémon team have 4) but I disliked how it looked in the drawing and it lowkey didn’t fit the vibes. In the end, I changed my mind again after using a choice picking wheel 💀 Honedge stayed due to storyline reasons.

+ Dani's did not change at all XD I was very satisfied with my choices for her.

+ Jason's team changed a LOT. Some stayed the entire time (like Ceruledge and Absol), but others were switched around a lot. At some point, he even had a Goodra, but I changed my mind several times. I've mentioned this before, but the DC teams were the hardest for me to make. The DP teams were relatively easy in comparison.

+ Danny's team is all ghost Pokémon, or will become ghost Pokémon. The reason why I chose Gengar and not any other Pokémon is bc Gengar is the first and only ghost Pokémon to be introduced in Gen I. The other three are there for thematic and story based reasons.

+ Jazz's team was originally all normal types until Sylveon evolved and she got a Honedge. She's weirdly and somewhat unintentionally powerful when you compare her to everyone else bc of the amount of dark and dragon type Pokémon I gave everyone. (Pseudo-legendaries, I both love you and curse you!) I do love how cutesy her team is. It's fun when you realize that she's also pretty well-balanced (that's on purpose :))

+ Dani's team was chosen solely on vibes and storylines. Also, I love the idea of a small girl having a cute Pokémon, a cool Pokémon, and a fucking behemoth of a sea serpent as a Pokémon.

+ The DC teams are all chosen with a specific pattern and as such, Jason's team reflects that. I switched it up several times but I'm satisfied now. I think the combination of both powerful but also thematically suitable Pokémon is really nice. He's got a pseudo-legendary and a semi-pseudo-legendary and I enjoy how his team is made of fire, ghost, and dark types. Quite spooky.

+ I want to write about Jason and Absol sooooo bad, but I'm trying my best to go in order slowly and work with what I got until I get bored again.

+ The Pokémon listed in each box are ordered from most used/seen to least used/let out of their Pokeball. Example: Jason lets Absol out or uses him the most, but Annihilape is usually kept inside of his Pokeball.

+ The Misdreavus pin that Jazz, Danny, and Dani all share is a logo for them being part of Team Phantom lmao. Misdreavus is the first fully ghost Pokémon to be introduced, hence why I chose it :3

+ Honedge was added to Jazz’s team to replace the usage of Marshadow (I planned her team for a while but never got to changing it until this year tbh), as well as to make up for weaknesses. What’s interesting about her team is that she counteracts a lot of her family’s and friends’ Pokémon teams due to her being a mix of fairy, normal, and ghost types with a bit of dark.

+ When I first discovered Marshadow, I was jumping for joy bc I was hoping to find a Pokémon that could replicate Shadow, an OC that I created to be Jazz's friend and helper. Marshadow was literally perfect for this! Associated with shadows, cute, and most importantly, able to copy others! But then my entire world came crashing down when I found out it was a Mythical Pokémon (which is accurate tbh but.... ☹️) I lowkey dislike it when characters are OP without explanations and I LOVE Jazz, which is why I glaze her so much, but a Mythical Pokémon would've just pissed me off bc no one else has one. So that's why it's there, but I don't consider it an official part of her team. It will help her on the occasion tho!

+ Within these teams, only 4 Pokémon will be evolving within the story: Rowlet -> Dartrix, Chansey -> Blissey, Honedge -> Doublade -> Aegislash, and Magikarp -> Gyarados. Jason's team came as is.

+ If you've seen how I color the characters a lot, you may be wondering why both Dani and Danny are blue instead of the usual green. That's bc I was imagining that when they went ghost, the blue would switch to green and black to white and vice versa. So in reality, the colors are actually the “opposite”.

+ You might not know this, but Dani is the only one with a water type Pokémon on her team in the DP world and it's freaking hilarious when you realize that almost everyone else is weak to fire in varying degrees. Cue shenanigans as everyone in the DP world chases her down for her Magikarp.

+ These Pokémon teams are still subject to a bit of change. As long as I don’t write it down in an AO3 fic, it’s free real estate for me to continue editing 💀

Hint for the questions! 1) It’s a single digit number, so less than 10, 2) It’s a specific girl group of 4-5 members, but very unconventional. Another hint bc it’s a little difficult, think of video games combined with music. 3) Look at Danny’s pants, specifically the shape lmaooo. Another hint, they performed at a very big event recently…. >:)

This took a little while, but here are the Destiny Trio (plus Namine and Repliku) with their ace Pokémon!

The different ages represent when the Pokémon evolved. I based each pose off of a trainer (or class), see if you can guess who I picked for who! (with the exception of KHI Sora because my brain only remembered what I was supposed to do after I lined his pose)

Sora: I was completely stumped as to what to give Sora. But when I gave Riku his Pokémon, I thought about giving Sora a psudo as well, and landed on Noibat, as they seem to be friendly and carefree dragon/flying types. I'd also like to imagine that Sora found his Noibat on the small island after a storm and nursed them back to health, and they stayed with him afterwards, only getting into a pokeball during the destruction of Destiny Island. I think that Noibat would evolve into Noivern during the final battle between Sora, Riku and Xemnas.

Riku: For some reason I imagine Riku inheriting his Bagon from his parents or relatives. He took care of them and often both him and his Bagon went up against Sora and his Noibat. Over the years, they both had to change and become strong enough to protect what matter to them the most. And yes- I chose Bagon for Riku because of its dex entry- of wanting to fly (wanting to explore other worlds), and eventually being able to after shrouding itself away (like how Riku hid himself from Sora)

Kairi: Originally, Sora had an Eevee, but I change it since I wanted Kairi to have a Sylveon. It all worked out since she has a type advantage over the boys! I see her Eevee evolving into Sylveon during her training with Axel.

Namine: I wanted Namine to have some kind of Pokémon that was lonely. Originally It was a Cubone, but I didn't think that'd fit, and I wanted to hold off on Smergal as well. I read the Pokédex on Galarian Ponyta, and thought it perfect, as they gaze into the heart of people, much like how Namine does the same to Sora.

Repliku: I imagine Repliku was just given a Zubat as a Pokémon by Vexen; just as a 'oh, here you go, kid'. That Zubat being a clone themselves (a la the Mewtwo clones). Repliku being Riku, I can imagine no matter the Pokémon, he'd treat and train them well, and thus they'd evolve into a Crowbat.

I didn’t realize so many people thought that “starter Pokémon” HAD to be like, three stage fire, water, or grass. Like sure, that’s what we see in game but it’s always been special circumstances?? The Pokémon we receive are rare and powerful species that are being studied by a professor (usually). Oak chose us specifically to be trusted with his new invention to carry on his life’s work so of course he’d give us reliable partner for this task. Elm trusts us to run errands for him and probably wanted more data on the Pokémon he had, encouraging us to try the gym challenge. Birch was being attacked by a wild Pokémon and asked us to save him, but after seeing the bond we formed decided to let us keep it. Rowan mistakenly left behind his briefcase which we used to defend ourselves against wild Pokémon, leading Rowan to see potential in us with our partners. Juniper is similar to Oak, she trusted us along with our friends to fill out the Pokédex and gave us reliable partners to help with that goal as well as be a gift for helping her. Sycamore has ties to our mom and has rather similar goals to to Oak and Juniper, these are kids that he specifically chose to carry out this work. Hala was most likely holding on to this group for Hau to choose his partner, but knew that he could help out another young trainer who was new to the islands. Leon outwardly gifts us and Hop these Pokémon as he has known us our whole lives, of course he’d want to start us off on the right foot. Clavell says that it is customary for new students to the academy to have a partner, so if we do not have one he gifts us one.

All of this to say, it’s really just for gameplay mechanics but also to explain how we’re able to get these rare Pokémon you can’t find anywhere else in the game. Most other trainers in universe obtain their Pokémon through other means, usually catching what’s easily available. The professor of an area isn’t handing out Pokémon to EVERY child that comes to them. In Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee we get a taste of what most trainers go through, encountering a wild Pokémon and it becoming our friend. Heck let’s look at Hop again, his starter is technically Wooloo, he’s had it since he was young and before Leon gave him another Pokémon

And I know in USUM the Ultra Recon Squad says that Poipole is a common starter for young trainers there but Ultra Space is also extremely unforgiving, to me it makes sense that adults would equip kids who wish to explore it with something that can defend them

Review shiny eevee and evolutions?

For sake of ease, we're going to group these by how good their shinies are, starting with:

The "I don't think you tried at all" shame corner (Glaceon, Leafeon, and Flareon): Doing all of these at once because I have the same issue with all of them: they are WAY too similar to the original colors, leading to incredibly boring and underwhelming shinies.

Glaceon: Just ever-so-slightly lighter than the original; the sprites had a tiny bit more contrast but not much. I would recommend making the whole thing white, which is a nice snowy color; sure, it does kind of share shiny Eevee's palette then but Jolteon and Espeon are both green so it probably doesn't matter.

Leafeon: The body is a tad darker, but good luck noticing. You could make the body a light green for something monotone, you could make the leaves brown or red, something autumn-y; literally just anything else would be better.

Flareon: Flareon the least bad of this group and mostly suffers from 3D conversion (its old sprites were more red while the old shiny sprites were more of a brownish gold). Easiest fix would just be to make the shiny a purer yellow like the above edit, or you could swing the opposite and do a deep red instead.

The "fine, but why?" corner (Jolteon and Espeon): Both of these ones are nice and high-contrast, and are very easy to spot compared to the non-shiny versions. The only issue with them is that the greens here feel very... random? They're not bad, but they don't feel natural.

Espeon: I like that it looks a bit like a space alien, but that really has nothing to do with the actual 'mon itself. For a Pokemon associated with the sun, you'd think they'd go for a yellow with a blue gem or something like the above (would tie it into Umbreon's shiny). At the very least, the green they chose feels way too dark for Espeon; a nice light, minty shade would've helped a lot, especially with a yellow gem or something. Also, I dislike that it has three different accent colors (red, purple, and blue).

Jolteon: The shade of green here works a lot better than the one used for Espeon, but it's an odd choice for an electric-type; once again, not bad, just odd. I would've just gone with a cyan-ish blue, which is still high-contrast but much more on theme.

The "actually good shinies" corner (Vaporeon, Eevee, Umbreon, and Sylveon): These ones are all bangers; lots of contrast and with color choices that feel natural for each.

Vaporeon: While this one borders on not having much to do with the theme, purple is at least close to blue hue-wise, so while it's not necessarily very water-y it doesn't feel like it's completely coming out of the left field either.

Eevee: Eevee's whole thing is that it's supposed to be plain and normal, so neutral colors are a must. The very light cream they used here stands out compared to the darker brown originally used but still works with the concept. Using a cream instead of pure white also allows it to keep a tiny bit of color. (I'm not posting an image of the g-max here, but I think it uses the same cream so no issues there.)

Sylveon: Sylveon doesn't actually change its hues; instead, it opts to swap its secondary and tertiary colors. This can be a risky gamble, but it works here because there was so much more pink in the original design compared to blue, so the change still really stands out. Because it uses the original palette in different proportions, it also doesn't run the risk of the colors feeling too random. Also it's trans, so that's a bonus.

Umbreon: Umbreon's shiny is a banger and you don't need me to tell you that. Swapping accent colors can be risky because it's not always that noticeable (see that Lunatone review I did a few days ago), but the yellow was such a prominent and bold part of the design that the blue swap stands out, helped by the fact that it pops really nicely against the black body is a nice "nighttime" color. Swapping the eyes to yellow further helps differentiate it, and it keeps the kind of "eerie" look that the original's red eyes invoked.

Overall: Vaporeon, Eevee, Sylveon, and Umbreon have great shinies. Espeon and Jolteon have okay shinies that are high-contrast but don't feel very natural. Glaceon, Leafeon, and Flareon barely change and are just plain boring.

I keep thinking of fandom x pokemon teams and then finding pokemon that would fit if there were regional/convergent versions of them and now I'm making it y'alls problem so here we go to start: Bruce Wayne/Crobatman

Public Brucie Wayne Pokemon. These are mostly non-combatant companion pokemon that the public knows he has:

Ace: Eevee that he had as a child that evolved into a Umbreon and a gift from his parents. This is one he has both as Brucie and as Crobatman, but it gets its own little cape and cowl when out with him. Ace is good friends with Bruce's partner Crobat; another childhood pokemon.

Maman: Kangaskhan; a companion pokemon that he feels an affinity with as a parent. This one, in particular, has an adoption problem just like him and adopts Gotham Cubone that it raises in the caves. Each of her adopted Cubone have become close with Bruce's children.

Duchess: Swanna; an entirely Brucie companion pokemon. A flock of them and Duckett live on manor grounds and this one enjoys playing along with Brucie's behavior at social events. Vain.

Vivillon (elegant pattern): another Brucie companion from the lands around Wayne manor.

Finizen: a fun-loving, unevolved pokemon that joined Brucie after a yacht party.

Shiny Aromatisse: publically, this pokemon provides lovely and wonderful scents and smells around Brucie's person to cut through the stink of Gotham, but in actuality provides comforting scents in high stess situations like hostage situations and helps healing down in the cave. She also happens to be an old lady as she belonged to Martha Wayne from her childhood as a Kane. Bruce loves her.

Blissey: the partner pokemon of Dr. Thomas Wayne before his murder. Often helps in the cave and good friends with Alfred Pennyworth. Often slaps Bruce for reckless behavior.

Gholdengo: a pokemon that's been in the Wayne family for generations.

Crobatman's partners and more combat/support oriented pokemon. Not all are permanently on the team and some just came to him in one way or another.

Knight: a Crobat that evolved from the Zubat that led tiny Bruce out of the caves he'd fallen into as a child. It scared him initially, but they grew very close. Ace and Knight are Bruce's oldest personal pokemon, and Knight joins him in the field as a vigilante.

Pearl (Gotham Marowak): Evolved from a Gotham Cubone that followed him home from his parents' funeral. A staunch companion that's good at dealing out damage as well as comforting children.

Zangoose: Caught during Bruce's training world tour and learned alongside him.

Gliscor: Caught while Bruce trained with the League of Assassins among the hidden cave bases there. One that shared his sense of justice and hates killing.

Swoobat: Caught in the caves below Wayne Manor. Comforts victims with their fuzzy body.

Sawk and Throh: more companions Bruce made on his world tour. Often sparring partners in the cave. Make fine training companions but don't leave the cave or manor much.

Excadrill and conkeldurr: helped build the cave. Were pokemon that chose to stick with Bruce because of his love for Gotham.

Brody: A Noivern caught as a Noibat from Gotham's cave system below Wayne Manor. Bruce often rides him over Gotham's skyline.

Carbink: Many hang around the cave area like the various bat pokemon, but one in particular loves to be in the main areas.

Gray: A Gumshoos that followed Bruce home after deducing he's batman. Helps Bruce with cases and good pals with Jim Gordon's Gumshoos.

Silvally: found on one of Bruce's cases. Created by Lex Luthor to defeat Superman and his more alien pokemon.

Lunala: Chose Bruce due to affinity. Not part of his team unless they decides to join him on justice league missions.

Rex: a Tyrantrum Bruce caught on a case. Pampers the thing by showering it with compliments. He thinks he's super cool, and it makes Bruce feel boyish.

Vengence: a Corviknight brought as a rookidee back from an English holiday in his teens with Alfred just before he left on his world tour. Roosts with Penny, Alfred's Corviknight.

Batvroom: a Revavroom that possesses that Crobatmobile. Named by Dick Grayson.

Kryptonian Minior (green core): Clark entrusted this minior to Bruce's care as a show of trust and frienship. Keeps to its meteor form unless needed.

Leo/Need:

Ichika: Heartgold / Soulsilver. She enjoys Kanto, but adores Johto and the pokemon it introduced! She likes the life it breathed into it and allows her to enjoy it with color :3 she names all her pokemon after her friends btw. Thats all I got too sorry 😭😭

Saki: I think both Sun and Moon and XY work but if I had to choose one, it would be XY!! She would LOVE Lumiose City and the botiques as well! Based on the anime, I think she would either perform in the Pokemon Showcase and/or Pokevision videos

Honami: Sword and Shield !! She would probably get freaked out with all of the scary pokemon in the wild area, but she would love playing with her pokemon and camping :3 plus there’s appletun too cmon chat

Shiho: Black and White. I can’t explain but I think she would the pokemon, it’s gym leaders, and the legendaries. I just think that the whole region matches her vibes, that’s the best I got..

More More Jump:

Minori: Any game that has contests! It doesn’t really matter which one, she probably has saved files working on the contests for each of them! She likes playing with her pokemon and decorating them :D

Haruka: Any Sinnoh game. Piplup. Need I explain more?? (Gen 8 is an honorable mention for having eiscue)

Airi: Sword and Shield :D she enjoyed the dojo that came with the isle of armor dlc! She LOVES kubfu and liked challenging mustard!! She was thisss close to wanting to just break the dreams of the rival in the dlc.

Shizuku: Black and White! She likes the pokemon that were introduced, and she personally uses an emolga when she can! Oh and she also likes the object pokemon and doesn’t understand why everyone hates them?? they’re just so cute so why??

Vivid Bad Squad:

Kohane: Sun and Moon! She loves all the pretty spots in the game and the camera option and the Photo Booth in the ultra games. Also the island scan!! She definitely spent a long time scanning all the QR codes to get all of the pokemon! She also caught a shinx and named it after An. SHE WOULD ALSO PLAY THE NEW POKEMON SNAP TOO PLEASEE SHES A PHOTOGRAPHER IT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE !!

An: Platnium. she has a luxray on her team btw. That’s very important!! She likes the legendaries and sees shaymin as Kohane! She likes the cities and the pokemon that came with the gen. Since shaymin is an event exclusive, she caught a furret and named it after Kohane :D she also adores Cynthia.

Akito: Legends Arceus.. he likes the “difficulty” (he lost to Volo 100+ times btw) I don’t think I have to explain anything else. He never trusted volo anyways smh.

Toya: Sapphire/Alpha Sapphire (both could work). He likes the lore around it and the map :3.. kyogre is his favorite and he likes to compare groudon to Akito :3 (just ignore the rivalry the two legendaries have). It makes sense to him and him only. He probably also uses spectile too.

Wonderlands x Showtime:

Tsukasa: I think he’d enjoy Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee. He would love to communicate with his starter and dressing up with them! He cried when he walked into viridian forest and saw all of the bug type pokemon

Emu: SUN AND MOON!!! SHE LOVES ALOLA!! the trials, the islands, the pokemon, the totems, EVERYTHING!! It’s so beautiful and fun to her :3 she definitely chose popplio, has an alolan raichu, and a slurpuff!! trust me!!! please!! She ran around looking for all the crystals but asked Rui for help (He looked up the answers online before giving it to her).

Rui: AND IF I SAID MYSTERY DUNGEON.. WHAT WOULD YOU DO?! I think he would definitely play the mystery dungeon games, but I also see him playing Sword and Shield. He would enjoy dynamax so much and would try to collect all of the forms to have a full crazy team of gmax pokemon.

Nene: I’d go with Johto for her too. I think she would like to around collecting both badges and fighting double the trainers! She’d crush the gym leaders and the elite 4 too!

Kanade: Legends Arceus. She likes the beauty of the game and the nobles. She likes to imagine which pokemon she’d be the warden of. She also likes the many areas and the story :D

Mafuyu: She doesn’t really play Pokemon. She plays her friends favorite games when they let her and she couldn’t tell you which one was her favorite. Though if she did, she would probably like Sinnoh and would play Platinum. I don’t have any explanation, just a feeling.

Mizuki: Any game with customization could work tbh, so Gen 6 - Gen 9!! I would choose Scarlet and Violet though :3 it allows customization and i think she would love terastallization and how your pokemon gets all crystaly and shiny during it!! Though she would definitely travel to Kalos to perform in the showcases

Ena: She would also play Scarlet and Violet too. She would enjoy the school and the terastallization. She would plan her team and see what Tera type they would have, and if it would work good. Though it’s important to know that she has the version that Mizuki DOES NOT have. They play and trade the version exclusives with each other, BUT FOR FUN, they like to debate which one is better. They’ll pull up everything down to the legendaries to basically everything, trying to prove which is one better. Thats it ty.
