One massive, legitimate way to improve as a writer or artist or in any creative endeavor really, is to become absolutely obsessed with something and to allow yourself to be weird about it. Genuinely mean this btw.
A friend of mine sent me your latest post and I couldn't stop thinking about how perfectly Vasco would fit into the role of a coat of arms supporter. It got to the point that I just sat down and made a mock-up of the idea; turns out actually, both of them do a great job at it, together. Literally made this account to share the discovery
(Extra funny points for them fitting the original colour scheme)
I'm very excited to finally share the alternative dust jacket designs I did for dazzlingbookishshop's FT Lukens set! I absolutely adore these books and they were such a pleasure to illustrate covers for. Check out their site for details if you're interested in grabbing the set!
holy shit I did NOT realize how popular my "I will remove my teeth, for I want to remain kind despite my anger" quote is. I just googled it for fun to see what would come up, a bunch of people are quoting it not knowing who its from, an artist called Kuma made an album titled that, so bizzare
I do feel like the way Kyoshi was written in the Avatar reboot was lowkey influenced by the fandom's perception of her. Cause like in the original show she's really just portrayed as a pragmatist who's willing to kill if necessary. Like Aang is conflicted about killing the Fire Lord and she's like "well if I were in your position I'd do it but that's just me. Good luck." And then people started making memes where she's like a murderous psychopath who thinks extreme violence is always the solution. And it was funny at first cause it was just exaggerating for comedy but now everyone thinks she was actually like that in the show when she really wasn't. And then in the remake her introductory scene is her angrily yelling at this 12 year old that he needs to stop being a little pussy and be a ruthless warrior or whatever and the only explanation I can think of is that someone in the writer's room maybe looked at a few too many of those memes.
Tazercraft mental link but make it a lil bit weird, they’ll have a conversation mostly in their heads but partially out loud which from an outside perspective is just fragments of words and half sentences, they go dead silent for hours at a time only for them to suddenly start shouting out loud, very clearly mid-argument, Pac says something but it comes out of Mike’s mouth, Mike starts speaking with his mouth and finishes speaking with Pac’s, sometimes their thoughts become so tangled that they’re unsure who a thought belongs to so they both express it at the same time like horror movie twins, do you see my vision

accidentally worked longer on this than i intended; a little mock up of a dream game of mine for my OC stories world
i took some ideas i had for the totk rewrite into this but this is in fact an original thing
Some of my friends can't fathom how I can oscillate from loving the most cliche and fluffiest stories to the most depraved and horrifying ones and like
A love story is a love story because it has love in it–tender, tragic, brutal, unconditional, unconventional, gruesome, simple, complicated love–but it is love all the same, no matter the form
So why should I prefer one over the others when it all gives me the same satisfaction?
While I scream into the void of not finishing any art, have this silly oc interaction of Dandy and Will cause Will's hands are huge and I couldn't stop thinking about how tiny he'd make Dandy's hands look in comparison.
Yoko: PUT YOUR FUCKING SEATBELTS ON!
Enid: WE'RE TRYING!
Bianca: WHY ARE THE SEATBELT BUCKLES CRISSCROSSED?!
Wednesday: This is why we should have taken the family hearse.
Yoko: AND LET YOU GUYS MAKE OUT IN THE BACK?!
Wednesday: No we were not going to 'suck face' in the back of the hearse, that would be horrendous.
Enid, whispering to Wednesday: we were totally going to make out weren't we?
Wednesday: Affirmative cara mia.
"It's not terribly uncommon to see dollmakers who've enchanced their bodies with parts they've made. After all, you can trust the tools you've made yourself the best, and artificial parts can be made to have far superior precision compared to organic flesh.
As for talk of dollmakers with completely inhuman bodies, those are merely rumors and should be ignored. With such a mysterious, prestigious profession, people with overactive imaginations are sure to let their mouths run."
