Why in your polls do you never include season 7? I get it, you may not like it, but your polls are inaccurate without it. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean others can't. Give it a chance to be voted on like the rest.

Great question nonny! (And a fair one to ask, I'm pretty consistent LOL 😅)

For some of the polls, like the 'best #X episode' they're related to this year's rewatch: which is planned to run to 6x13. So it makes sense for those to omit anything after that.

But honestly: 9/10 times it's just because I don't like talking about that season 🤷‍♀️

I'm always down for a sidebar discussion on how brilliant 7x02 was (The Garden 😭), or how John and Emori were MADE for their leadership roles on Sanctum and I wanted years more of that on screen✨. I really enjoyed Dev's scenes and Echope's dynamic and giving Gabriel a found family... but the rest of the season? Watching live was a really unpleasant experience for me, and I don't get a lot of joy from rehashing it.

There could be S7 polls eventually? And I'll happily participate in other blogs' should they pop up on my feed ☺️ But you likely won't find a lot of that season's content on my page.

It bums me out, and I prefer to celebrate the parts of the show I really enjoyed watching

So, to explain Sethos, I feel like there needs to be a form of "disclaimer" first.

Those who reside within the version of Teyvat within my System have their own version of canon events that my version of Aether sort of "cultivated" by hand. He didn't agree with how Scaramouche was treated, so he changed things around in a way that felt more satisfactory. (Also, there was no Paimon 👍👍)

So! To make a long story short(er), these were the main changes:

Aether caught Scaramouche when he fell

He left Scaramouche with Tighnari in Gandharva Ville instead of with the turnip in Sumeru City

Scaramouche ended up returning to Gandharva Ville after he earned his Anemo Vision and was working with Tighnari as a search & rescue unit, primarily saving people from natural events (like landslides, treefalls, etc.) and Withering Zones

He would also occasionally pick up difficult to reach plant and wildlife samples for him, too

And, most importantly, he and Tighnari became close enough to see each other as a form of Father and Son, though - being who they are - neither has ever said so out loud (except once)

Oh yeah, and Teyvat accidentally grew Scaramouche a twin sister out of a Leyline... whoops! 🤷‍♀️

At this point, you might be wondering why any of this has anything to do with Sethos. Well, I'll tell ya—

Scaramouche is my everything.

From the moment I first locked eyes on him, I knew I was meant for him. He was sitting atop the branches, just outside the Akademiya, with the afternoon sun dancing through the leaves and across his porcelain skin.

He was the most breath-taking thing I'd ever seen, from his dark amethyst hair to his elegant, draping legs... He was my god's challenger. Hermanubis himself could not hope to compare to the sheer magnetism he had upon me, and I didn't desire to challenge that.

I didn't just "want him", either. I wanted him in a way that broke my heart, that twisted it until it splintered! And I didn't "want him" at all, in the traditional sense. I wanted to be his.

I wanted to give my everything to him.

Now, ha! Don't get me wrong here, I'm no pushover! I don't bend my knee to just anyone, and I hold myself with the pride of one of Hermanubis' chosen! He gave me a part of his soul for a REASON, and I am not one to take that lightly! But Scaramouche?

Scaramouche blows away my raging storm with a kiss and a laugh. He glides past me, tilts his hat, and I feel my heart and soul grow wings to keep up! Though, let's be honest here, I don't need those to keep up with him. Oh, no! I'm fast enough! And I think that's part of why I charm him so much, haha

But when I see my glittering honey lotus, the rest of the world just... melts away. He's the only thing I need to breathe, and feel, and love.

Now, this isn't to say I belittle his past's importance in my perception of him, NO! He was a demonic form coasting the lines of wickedness without a single obstacle! He razed towns, killed hundreds - if not thousands! - but listening to his stories I could only ever end on one, titular thought...

"Who made you bleed so deeply you had to try and push the blood of others up, into your veins to make up for the losses?"

Who in all of this world would I have to skin with my teeth to make up for all your pain?

He was hurting, a wounded feral lion backed against the sandstone canyons, and would kill anyone to get away from it all. My arms have been his safe haven for so much less than that... and I was persistent.

In the beginning, he ignored me and left me behind, but I didn't mind it. The desert is just as cold as it is hot, and BOY was he hot! Haha! But the sandstorm's grit against my skin was a serration I was used to. The frigid night always breaks into a beautiful dawn over the oasis of my life, my hands dipping gently into his water's surface as to not ripple his delicate trust, drinking deep his time spent with me and savoring every drop... Even the cooling drift of his rivers down my neck were enough to satiate me.

I loved him with every ounce of my being until he wept against my shoulder and begged me not to stop.

Whatever he was willing to give, I would handle with respect. He is my pristine pool. A gem of nature's bounty worth more than any diamond of the dunes! And when I finally earned the right to touch his lips to mine, I was so ecstatic, I felt my hair stand on end! My fingers against his synthetic wrist, tracing lines of his ivory curves... We sunk into the evening light.

From then on, he's called me every name under the scorching sun: Irritating, annoyance, easy, brat, etc. I smile through it all and know that he's only saying it because he can't handle my bleeding heart for him without a hit of salt to the wounds.

I still adore his scratches in my skin.

It hurts.

I savor the pain with my teeth in my lower lip.

And, eventually, he fell for my rugged charms and sparkling green eyes, said "yes", and we were married at Pardis Dhyai, my beloved making a long walk to the gazebo where we and our family (Cyno, Tighnari, Kaveh, & Alhaitham) would meet to drink and laugh and talk about our days in the city, but where I was standing, instead, that day... waiting for him.

He was - in all honesty - just as breath-taking as the first day I saw him in those treetops: Dressed in traditional Inazuman wedding attire, hands and feet painted in henna by Kaveh, Tighnari, and his sister Makoto, draped in the shabka I'd given to him as a sign of my priceless affections, and holding a crimson umbrella over his head to ward away bad omens.

Though, how any bad omens could take hold on such a perfect day, I wouldn't know...

I cried. I won't bother lying, haha! And we had a wedding that mixed my culture and his into one, drinking sake from three saucers, then music and dance bursting out from the attending guests once the blessings from the Temple of Silence and signing of our contract had been complete! The entire ceremony was so full of life, even my bitter lotus was smiling and dancing until the stars shone above our souls, and we fell asleep in peaceful bliss, bodies bound together.

We are... everything, to each other.

I would do anything for him. He is my light, my guiding star, my sweet honey, and our souls are reflections of each other's hardships. I kiss his dismembered limbs and puzzle gently back together the pieces of his missing heart, and he paints gold into my scars to mend me.

He allows it no other way.

I love him, through and through. Nothing will ever change that for me.

I think if Timmy/Kylie were to breakup then a lot of those fans who left the fandom wuld go back right back to him, regardless of any other problematic bahaviour Tims done 🤷‍♀️ some of those fans think that Kylie is the case as to why hes acting like this nt hes a grown ass man, dude will b 30 this yr, n hes responsible for his own behavior and who he surrounds his self with. I think studios r willing to give men who look like Timmy 100 chances, despite their fandom side. You're right, Timmy's antics probably won't hurt his film career at all. He would have to do something superbly egregious in order to get what they call blacklisted in Hollywood, because right now, he's like Hollywood's Golden Child.

But I'm not too sure that if or WHEN Timmy dumps Kylie that his female fanbase will be running back.

For one, we as women aren't as forgiving when it comes to men behaving badly, and second, some of the things he's been doing lately have just been such a turn off, that I'm not sure his female fans would come back. 👀

And maybe, just maybe!... his team sees the writing on the wall, and the Anon who sent in her anon about Timmy possibly trying revamp his image and appeal more to men is spot on. 🤔

Maybe his team knows that him dating Kylie (and his other antics) have turned OFF his female fanbase, so now they've advised him to appeal more to the straight male demographic in order to close the gap and not risk a mass exodus of his fanbase, who primarily are women right now. 🤔 I never thought about that being a possibility until now.

Re: JE....

I'm still going to wait and see how his new projects pan out first before I make my predictions on him, but lbh, "Priscilla" didn't really get him much, and neither did "Saltburn", and with the assault allegations, he didn't even promote his newest film "On Swift Horses" or something. So I'm really not sure what his career will really be like.

All I know is that you're right, he's def been given more chances than what a moc who's in his same situation would be given.

Will Smith (who's had an impeccable and likable record and image for DECADES) was blacklisted for SLAPPING a man on national TV for making jokes about his wife. But yet, JE, who has NOT been nearly as likable, has not had near the fame, money, nor selling POWER that Will had for decades, is still being given roles and hasn't been blacklisted, even though, he nearly CHOKED a man to death over a simple bath water joke? 🤔 The same bath water that JE himself joked about on national TV on a late night TV show? 🥴

I'm not condoning what Will did, it WAS disrespectful, but let's get real here. The man has had an impeccable record most of his life, has always been positive, been upstanding, etc. Like, it's obvious that Will's actions were not coming from someone thinking with his right mind that night. Sometimes, stress can really get to you. I also heard that Chris had okayed the jokes for everyone else that night, but didn't okay the one with Jada for Will.

BOTH men did not press charges against the celebrities.... So why has Will (who's more famous and powerful) been blacklisted, but JE has not? 🤔 Aren't money, fame and power supposed to give you more leeway of getting away with things?

I don't think Will is innately a bad person, and since he doesn't seem to have a history of abuse, I will excuse his actions. I think he was just a man under a lot of stress... and he and Chris already had beef from years ago.

But to me, the way the media and the Academy has treated Will Smith vs JE is very different imo. I understand not allowing him to attend the Oscars for 2 years... heck, even 5 years. But 10 YEARS!? 😳 Also, who knows what his film career will be like after this. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Obscutober 2024 Day 11: Derecho ⛈️

Today’s word is proof that I did not go over the prompt list with as finetooth of a comb as I should have—We really didn’t need “rolling wind storms” and “trees dead-from-storms” back-to-back. 😅

Oh well! Not much to be done about it now. 🤷‍♀️

Just to reiterate: I honestly cannot believe that when I was making final adjustments to the Obscutober prompt list that I both didn't notice this little string of nouns we seem to be stuck in (aside from Day 9 serving as a break) and also that "Rampike" and "Derecho," both storm-related words that made it on the list, ended up back-to-back. 🤦‍♀️

And it's not the fault of total randomization, either; I did randomize the words at first, but then deliberately moved some around for reasons much like this...I just somehow missed these two in the process. 😅

Then I still didn't notice until I looked at the list to get started on today's mandala. 🙄

So, naturally, I went into working on this mandala a little worried that I'd have trouble making it different enough from yesterday's. This was not helped by the fact that I came home absolutely wiped after being out most of the day yesterday, so I was in no position to even attempt getting started before going to bed, and then I also slept in late this morning, which set back my whole schedule for the day.

And now you know why today's is going up a little later than I'd really like, too. 😅 Sometimes I just can't catch a break from myself!

"The Ongoing Saga of Mystic's Poor Pacing" aside, I did what I could to separate today and yesterday without totally abandoning what I felt really was the best fit for the word. Primarily, I opted to use black lines instead of white. Though had I realized these two words were next to each other before I made yesterday's, I think letting Derecho have the white lines and making Rampike have black would've been the better way to go. Dead trees would've made a black silhouette work better, white lines make more sense for clouds, etc.

Still, I did what I could and tried to use the black lines to my advantage to focus on lighter, "this is the blue the sky uses to warn you that rain is very much on the way," blues and lighter grays, like maybe if yesterday's colors were a storm at night, this one is a storm during the day when there's more light.

But, of course, since the definition specifically mentions thunderstorms, I felt like I still had to get some little lightning bolts in there. I kept them intentionally small since "Derecho" is more about the wind that precedes the storms, but these did get more proper "lightning shape lines" versus yesterday's lightning mostly being a strong suggestion based on color placement.

However, swirls for "wind" were, in my opinion, completely non-negotiable. But I did try my best to structure them differently and give them a tad more complexity than yesterday's. If we were looking at just the line work, I'm not fully convinced I pushed them far enough, but I think the coloring helps sell the differences a lot more. Then, I had briefly considered adding some kind of rain representation to yesterday's art—whether in the mandala lines or in the background coloring. You can probably guess that I am now super glad I didn't, because that gave me one more tool up my sleeve to help make today's mandala noticeably different! I'm not entirely sold on the exact way I ended up doing the raindrops, but I didn't really have any better ideas so once I was able to get them shaped in a way I was happy with, I opted to just roll with this and try not to otherwise worry about it too much. I think the main thing that bothers me is the raindrops look "too calm" and not really like they're coming from a storm. Again though: I didn't really have any better ideas. I tried a couple of things before settling on what you see and none of it was jiving with me. 🤷‍♀️

For as worried as I went in though, and for what quibbles I still have, I like it a lot more than I thought I would! So I'll consider that a success and cut my losses for today. 👍

...I feel like this description should be longer, but I think you all want to read a play-by-play of drawing a lot of swirly shapes several times about as much as I feel like writing one. Which is to say: Not very much at all!

Ok one last dip into "the Izcourse" before I take my own advice and pivot to rewatching S1 in prep and posting about what I love!

We get a lot of trolls, and harassers, and staunch antis looking to pick a fight with the "bad fans" who either drop bait or jump on people's posts to be annoying. That's the flame war part of all this mess. But we also get a fair number of posts from "neutral" people that I want to gripe about for a moment because at least the antis are misrepresenting "what Izzy fans believe / discuss" because they are actively against my take on the show for whatever reason. But it's more annoying to me personally when it's just... a lack of effort.

(And I've mentioned this before)

Like... a "neutral" observer weighing in on "The Izcourse" is a member of the general fandom who doesn't care enough about Izzy to really be an anti. Their perspective on the matter is coming from directly or indirectly following people in the antis' main meta circle. We know this, because just about every neutral person who was not from this background got classified as an Izzy apologist / problematic Edward thoughtcrimer and they are counted as in "the Canyon" now. We watched it happen a lot over the past year and a half. So the observer is not neutral, not really, but they probably aren't heavily blocking / blocked if they don't care and don't talk about Izzy.

Which makes it so frustrating when they feel the need to bring up "concerning" trends among Izzy fans and their interpretations and then they don't know what those interpretations are.

Like - in the most patient tone I can possibly manage - scrolling a bit of the Izzy Hands tag and taking fans squeeing about their blorbo as evidence there is no nuance in meta and too much babygirlifying here is dumb as fuck. Hell, even isolating a recent meta post and going "well I don't agree with this because XYZ" is still very much a "so what?" situation because that one person is not representing all Izzy fans? And also you still have a huge blind spot.

Because meta is - at its core - a collaborative structure.

You can't experience a particular branch of meta primarily through people vaguing or screenshotting and dunking on whatever looks the worst, then skim a little bit of a tag and be able to confidently call out what the "problematic trends" are. You can't even understand where the random meta you singled out is coming from, because you don't know which posts they've been looking at for over a year. And this is all really highlighted by the fact when you go to dissect that post you disagree with, you'll do it by just saying things that you understand to be established, well-defended facts from your own circle of meta and not back them up at all. Because in your mind you don't need to! And yet the post you're disagreeing with won't make sense because they are just assuming things and talking about this fanon version of Izzy you don't recognize. 🤷‍♀️

(This is why my typical meta post is linking to three separate discussions, lol. I'm building off of things said before like basically every meta writer, but I want those things referenced.)

If you aren't going to actually put in the effort to identify which blogs are the "major players" and then go back through tags or their popular posts or whatever to get an actual idea of what the meta structure Izzy Canyon has spent over a year discussing contains, then at least don't disparagingly comment on those people and discussions while lumping them into one "problematic" hive mind??? You don't know what you're talking about because you didn't care, and that's whatever. Just please stop confidently conflating random blog #7's generally happy post about how "i can't wait for my fave little guy to have friends 💕" with a concerning lack of discussions on Izzy's relationship with the crew.

My "#ofmd meta" tag - among others - is full of almost exclusively Izzy Canyon blogs writing complex posts about all sorts of things from romcom genre conventions to POC fans' takes on Edward's cptsd, and it's beyond annoying to see them repeatedly insinuated to have the depth of a puddle because the antis prefer to pile on a headcanon about Izzy reading and turn it into an insult to Edward's intelligence, and all the "neutral" blogs take it as gospel.

So yeah I didn't get through all the material before tutorial but it's okay, the TA went over everything we need to know and I think it went well 🙂

Also I'm such a (happy) idiot. I've never taken notes primarily from textbooks before. In high school I relied 100% on the lectures, which were already very neatly broken up. That all changed in uni and I used to just have like...1 enormous page per enormous chapter and I hated it. But now I'm breaking up each chapter into different pages and each section of a chapter into subpages with meaningful titles (essentially the textbook sections for the most part, so the solution was staring right at me!!!) AND MY BRAIN LIKES IT SM BETTER AND IT'S SO COMMON SENSE WHY DID I NOT DO THIS BEFORE

Anyway! Here's what I did for school today asides from tutorial:

Forced myself to write notes on phase diagrams (which I covered yesterday)

Wrote notes for 3 sections on solution phase changes (sections which I covered yesterday but only got half of and...I was lazy last night and didn't write notes on anything 🥲 but now I get it so it's all good 😅)

Outlined notes for remaining chapters

Finished last practice problem set of the semester! 🙌

Day 8 : What do you find difficult within your subject(s)?

Haha haha ha. 😑 If we're talking about a single topic, the entire quantum mechanics week was hell for my brain. But...I think the super squished timeframe is the absolute worst and most difficult thing. In a normal term, we'd have 2 weeks for 1 module and omg would that have been way more fun and manageable and presumably at least a week to review for the final 😭 but in this schedule, I only have like 3 days (officially - and I doubt I'd be able to start reviewing any sooner 🤷‍♀️) to review *EVERYTHING* LIKE IDK WHAT I'M GONNA DO BUT I'M DOING IT ANYWAY 🤪🤪🤪

this may be the cringiest thing ever but I've wanted to expand my little sonic au for my ocs for a bit now, so I'm going to do this for the sonic version of my oc, tater tot! This will primarily focus on how my favorite characters feel about said oc. this is your last warning bc i dont wanna see or hear anyone in the comments complaining about how 'cringe' it is. Also, these are just general head canons. Which means I'm not following any specific version of Sonic (though I might favor sonic boom because it's my favorite 🤷‍♀️) ok! so.... context: Tater tot in the Sonic fandom au is a little sea angel who accidentally flew into a powerline, and is permanently cursed with the iq of a hotdog.

How does (canon character) feel about your OC? - Sonic might be annoyed with her because of how slow she can be sometimes. However, I don't think he would outright dislike her. It would be more of an 'oh here we go' followed by a sigh when he realizes that she's incidentally become part of one of his missions. He would still treat her like any of this other friends though. - Shadow would feel the same way as Sonic, but more extreme in terms of how he has to deal with her iq. He would usually make some sort of remark but in the classic shadow way. She ends up responding something unintentionally funny because it's hard to hurt her feelings (and she didn't pick up on what he said anyway).

How does your OC feel about (canon character)? Tater tot enjoys Sonic's company the most, and thinks he's pretty cool 👍 Tater tot is confused by Shadow, but he's fascinating to her. Kind of like watching a caterpillar going about its business. That's how she views him.

Has your OC ever made (canon character) laugh? / What about cry? Tater tot has accidentally made Sonic laugh, not so much Shadow. He's a tough crowd.

Do your OC and (canon character) ever cross paths? Tater tot and Sonic usually cross paths often enough to know each other, but she isn't apart of most of the main adventures. As for Shadow, she just ends up where she is. Think Garfield and Jon.

Oh, as if my profile picture wasn’t obvious already! 🤣 No, but I really like the DanYok dynamics. I can’t exactly say why: maybe it’s because of the strangers element, or perhaps it’s because I liked Fluke Gawin already a lot in DBK and I’m curious what he’ll bring to the table. I think out of the three ships, DanYok might be the most surprising to see pan out. (Not the fact THAT it’ll happen, but HOW it will come about.) That being said, it’s my toxic trait to heavily root for the most minor, least likely ship in a show, in order to be disappointed afterwards that nothing really happened. 🤡 (Yes, I briefly was a strong WaiKorn shipper. 😳) So I hope I won’t put too much hope into this.

As for which ship I feel the most certain about, that would have to be SeanWhite, mainly because their psychosocial interactions are just so strong. (Ugh, me being wordy again: what I’m trying to say is that they don’t just exchange a lot of words and emotions –by nearly killing each other for example 🥲– but also a lot of feelings and experiences – things that aren’t said out loud, which in the end will make them richer than the other in that they not only “merge” romantic feelings but also standpoints/ ideologies/ visions on life -> which are the things that will hopefully rub off on the audience the most. Which is the main reason why I watch this show i the first place. Not to primarily consume the political aspects of the show, but to see how those aspects are conveyed through the dynamics of story and its characters, which creates a synthesis of the same problems from different povs. How those characters present their own views and experiences, but at the same time “discover” different ways of looking at the world around through this, as does –by extension– the viewer.

And we discussed GramBlack already a bit. I predict (but what do I know lmao 🤷‍♀️) that this ship will be the richest in terms of symbolism and visual aspects. Varying from the Black-White dichotomy ☯️ to the childhood toys and the motorcycle. And even though I’m originally an English lit major, I’m an absolute sucker for imagery (symbolism, metaphors, metonymy, allegory, simile) in books, but in also in television. It shouldn’t be too in the nose, but gosh, it can enrich a storyline so much if they do. And my neurodivergent brain just loooves the details! 😍

I will be on the lookout for more significant details! 🧐

I also was a WaiKorn shipper so I get you. I actually think GramBlack is the least likely because there were no hints shown a lot about them. But I think you're allowed to put hope in YokDan because this show isn't just about the realities of activism, it's still a BL/Queer piece, it's going to still target the BL audience and give the couples all growth and a happy ending or open ending. Because Nuchy has made YokDan very different from what they are in the book, I think they will get one too. But I'm always optimistic and tbh the trust I have in this show terrifies me, but here we are.

Yes I agree with SeanWhite, I honestly think they will end up getting more love by the time they switch to full romantic, right now they have to overcome so many obstacles but once they do that passion they have will be just as loud as the other couples. They already act obsessed and lost in each other, it's mostly about them in their perspectives, so yeh we're gonna see more of them and be even more certain of their chemistry and passion which will make the show amp the BL aspects and add the ideologies and activism as well to the center of the narrative when they have to finally defeat Tawi and find out who hurt Black. Everything will merge together, the romance, the message, and the narrative will all join to form a big explosion of feelings. And I can't wait.

As you know by now with me I am also obsessed with imagery, symbolism, metaphors, metonymy, allegory, simile, and literature devices being used in media. So this show has me hooked and obsessed. Like the fact I can write 10,000 words on just the way the characters are written and the purpose and effort put into that is insane but here am I happy that this show proved what I thought it could do. I am very pleased with all the couples of this show and I am stunned at the whole production and team behind it.

Let me know what you think of the YokDan essay then since they're your favorite, I think they're so great and I can't wait to see how they tackle both Sean's hate for cops, and also just Dan letting himself join the gang and trust them. 1. What font do you write in? Do you actually care or is that just the default setting?

I usually just use the default font these days. Coming from my school days, I would put everything in Times New Roman for a while, but that became an annoying hassle to change every time. These days, since I write in Google docs primarily (besides tumblr drafts), the font I use is the default Arial. Tbh as long as it's easy on the eyes in simplicity and size, it doesn't matter to me

15. Do you write in the margins of your books? Dog-ear your pages? Read in the bath? Why or why not? Do you judge people who do these things? Can we still be friends?

Idk why but I am very very paranoid about marking my books in any way as it feels like I'm damaging them??? So I avoid ever writing on my books or bending the ears. I want them as unmarked as possible lol. If someone else does it, it's fine and doesn't bother me, it's only if I do it that it seems to get to me 🤷‍♀️

Honestly I'm not sure there's anything weird about my process???? I'm basic, sometimes I make a quick outline of what I'm writing if it's gonna be something long. Other times, I just write it as it comes and edit here and there. Maybe the weirdest thing is just that, thanks to my tinnitus and my ADD, I always need background noise/music while I write in order to focus.

That being said, I think cats think we're strange hairless cats that are their siblings/distant relatives. Sometimes they get grumpy when we don't give them the treats they want, or if I'm not sitting on the couch at a certain time, or done with work at a specific hour. But they're happy to have access to our many blankets and our laps, giving them all the cheek scritches and kisses they do or don't want lol

A bit of a private gal, here to learn from others and share a bit of myself in the process.

This blog is primarily dedicated to my spiritual path. Formerly Catholic, I now identify as pagan. For simplicity's sake, I like to go with eclectic Wiccan/theistic Luciferian, but I suppose to be even more specific, I am a (Neo)pagan who honors the Divine as God and Goddess within a (Neo)Wiccan framework. Echoes of my Christian faith still exist throughout my practice and views, but that’s ok with me. I get to rewrite and determine what those teachings mean to me now.

My path is primarily one of deity reverence. Magic is not particularly vital to my path, though I do practice it periodically. I'm also in the process of tinkering around with various forms of divination in order to see which I like best.

I believe in the God and Goddess through the lens of panentheism, a form of "soft" polytheism, with the idea that all gods/goddesses are aspects or emanations of the ultimate Divine Source (though still unique figures worthy of paying respect to in their own ways, and for whom cultural context and background is still relevant).

My God is known to me as the Radiant Horned God, who I also revere as Lucifer. My Goddess is known to me as the Mother of Tides, the Lady of the Moon, and the Mother to All the Earth, who I also revere as [redacted]. I also have relationships with Thor and Dionysus.

My spouse has deities/figures they honor as well, and as a result you may see me honor them, too! They are a part of my life even if I don’t directly worship or work with them.

My devotion is guided by my historical, mythological, and esoteric research. I am inspired by Wiccan folklore, various forms of paganism (particularly Norse and Celtic), Christian apocrypha (including demonolatry), and Luciferianism. I also find comfort and important lessons in Buddhist and Shinto teachings.

You may sometimes see a bit of what looks like "pop culture paganism" in my practice, as I weave Pokémon into how my path has been shaped. I don't actually pray to Pokémon or believe they are real, but since they are such an important part of my life, I use them to work with and understand the otherwise-unfathomable nature of the divine. The primary Pokémon that represent facets of my spirituality and that I use to connect to the divine are Ho-Oh (Lady Skye) and Lugia.

Outside of my spiritual path, I love creative writing, video games, reading, D&D, and learning new things. I also love art (though I rarely draw anymore), and am always hungry to commission art of my beloved original characters (OCs). My blog is represented by an OC from one of my stories—Laska, an arctic fox who, like me, goes through a spiritual journey and eventually has to save the world. I’m not personally a furry, but I guess I’m furry adjacent. 🤷‍♀️

Please do not interact if you have a problem with Wicca. I am not here to defend the religion or why I have chosen to practice it. I did enough of that in my previous religion and have no desire to do it anymore. Please leave me alone. (That goes for all other aspects of my practice too, but I definitely have no time or patience for people wanting to challenge Wicca in bad faith.)
