A/n: I writers block bad. Like- i need to do requests but can't- also, no pictures cause its too many ppl. (i listened to we don't talk about Bruno while writing this)

Info: reader is gender neutral

Fighting headcannons with (some) the Hazbin girls!

Characters: Carmilla Carmine/Velvette/Charlie/Vaggie

Genre: angst/slight fluff

Carmilla Carmine: She isn't one to fight, she's not someone to lose her composer over something little or not worth fighting for. But, she will argue if it's about something really important that you guys can't agree on. For example, if she wants to keep the dead exorcist thing a secret and you don't. Then there would be a lot of arguing and fighting that night, or even in the morning the following day if it' really bad. She'll also fight about wanting to keep you or her daughters safe if something dangerous is happening and you’re not hearing her out. She doesn't want to hurt you, she wants to just keep you and her girls safe.

Velvette: You two usually have small squabbles or fights, not full on yelling and screaming fights. But when you do have a big fight like that. It usually lasts from as short as five minutes or as long as a few days. Of course, it doesn’t mean you fight every single minute of the day, it just means you two will be salty and bitchy towards each other and break out into random fight on those days. There has been many times you two have broke up, had hate sex, and got back together.

Charlie: Fights are extremely rare. She’s not one to yell or raise her voice. She would rather handle everything calmly and politely. I’d say the only times she’ll raise her voice or yell at you is when she’s REALLY stressed- like maybe after Heaven doesn’t listen. Adam just straight up disrespects her, or when her mother won’t show up. Then she’ll yell and raise her voice. It won’t be specifically towards you, like the problem isn’t caused by you, but she’ll get madder if you yell back, or she’ll get sad and give you space, it really depends on what you’re fighting about. She’ll also raise her voice at you if you put yourself in to much danger. But she’ll quickly turn soft and hug you. She always feels really bad after you two fight, even if it isn’t always her fault only. Expect a lot of apology gifts (and a song if you’re lucky).

Vaggie: She tries her best not to fight. She doesn’t like to, but she gets so stressed, overwhelmed, and mad and can’t help it. Let’s be honest, she seems like she has anger issues and a low self esteem. So she gets irritated often. She wouldn’t start a fight for no reason of course, she will have light arguments with you more often rather than big fights, and the arguments aren’t that harsh either. I feel like she’d only get into a large fight if you were to reckless, she’s just scared of losing you. She’d feel so bad after though, she’ll apologize and say everything she did wrong, then you’ll cuddle for the rest of the night.

A/n: I’m not sure if these are OOC…cause I haven’t been on here for a while and forgot how the characters act a little 😭😭. Anyways I’m trying to post again!

Do you have any thoughts on what Alastor's life as a child was like? I personally hope he at least had a healthy relationship with his mama. Did they live in the bayou ? Was Al isolated from every other kid physically and socially ? What did tiny Al do for fun in his spare time ?

I got a few ideas and a lot of headcanons lol. But I'll stick with the ones that most likely occurred. I think he was close to his mother because she was the only person to understand him and accept him for all his questionable traits (I can see Alastor already exhibiting some sadistic traits towards animals when he was kid. It's pretty common for kids who are getting severely abused or have undiagnosed mental issues to do this as an unhealthy outlet. BUT in 1910s, Alastor could use the excuse that he killed the animals to bring food or fur to his mom. And his mom probably encouraged this so he wouldn't kill or harm animals for no reason but instead did it for a specific goal in mind). So I think they're relationship was "Healthy" but did have some flaws. Alastor seems to value people who can control their emotions, and it's pretty common when one parent is being abusive (Alastor's father was definitively this if the old info Viv mentioned was anything to go off of) that the other will pretend that everything is fine and try to keep a positive appearance for their kids and for others. Al's child mind probably took this and maybe even some direct advice (This is more headcanon-y: But what if his mom said something like: "As long as you can smile everything will be alright.") and warped into "To survive you need to repress your emotions and have a constant mask of control and happiness".

I definitely think they lived near or in the bayou because 1) I DO think Alastor was accidently isolated from most other kids growing up and 2) Even as an adult he seems perfectly at home near a Bayou with his Hotel room seeming more like an old cabin or house near a bayou.

I know it's pretty common theorized and headcanoned that Alastor didn't get along with other kids or that he was a loner as an adult but like... He seems pretty skilled at getting along with others using charisma and is a genius at using people's emotions and thoughts to manipulate them, most good manipulators tend to have started as kids just being really good at reading others and knowing how to get along with them. Also he was raised in the South with a black mom, I do think he occasionally got to visit to his family member and probably played with his cousins as a kid so he got some socialization just not constant and very much limited interactions. I don't think he had any close or real friends though. Most would probably not be a fan of his "hobbies" or be slightly intimidated/weirded out by his personality being occasionally off but at the same time he probably seemed like a safe enough option if you needed a 5th person for Hide and Seek or if you wanted to play in the bayou with somebody and not get lost.

Alastor's hobbies and types of fun would go from normal kids stuff to "Oh, something's a bit wrong with him". He was a momma's boy and I can see him getting along better with girls his age than boys so he probably had some "girly" hobbies like sewing, knowing how to do hairstyles, cooking, gossip, etc. Maybe with his male cousins or some boys he occasionally knew he would play fight them ("I get to cause violence on others and not get in trouble?! All I have to do is hold back a bit and fake apologize if I go too far? Perfect!") or play around in the bayou. Though I think he mostly did things by himself and only really got along with kids because his mom wanted him to have friends. So a lot of "hunting" (again, grabbing a rabbit and snapping it's neck isn't concerning if you say you did it cause you like rabbit stew), amateur taxidermy made by him or his mom, feeding the animals or gators random scraps of food, overall just being an outdoorsy kid. Funnily enough I think that's one of things he ended up sharing with Niffty! Niffty loves hunting bugs and pests and was probably allowed to atleast pin butterflies when she was younger. So I can see Alastor teaching her how to do taxidermy and skeleton preservation (his favorite thing if his room is anything to go by lol) for when she kills anything that's not a bug but still wants to keep it. I also think he probably reads a lot but that's definitely not something he did much as a kid (Speaking from my childhood experience, You might love reading but if there are a TON of fun things to do outdoors, you'll quickly put reading as a sort of backup plan for fun. I only read when I couldn't go outside. But idk maybe I'm projecting too much).

On a more serious note I really hope that Cherrisnake won't develop further than this. They have clearly very different needs and wants, that I can't see mixing together very well. It's also kind of shallow on both ends, Sir Pentious developing a crush seemingly out of no where, because "ooo hot lady!" and Cherri only being actually interested in sleeping with him after finding out he supposedly has two dicks.. :/

my apologies for taking so stupidly long to answer this ask, i love infodumping but unfortunately

no but seriously i had tons of ideas for what i was gonna ramble about and couldn't pick one ;-; this is probably anti climactic, but it's just a bit of a ramble on gooseworx!! one of my biggest inspirations!!!

so let's start at the beginning lol :3

so, i've never played undertale.

but when it first came out i watched let's plays, comic dubs, and the soundtrack since it's been like 10 years i don't really remember the plot at all, but most of the soundtrack stuck with me! it inspired how i write music lol, and while looking for covers of undertale songs i came across this little youtube channel called gooseworx!

she made lots of good covers lol, so i subscribed!

i don't know what the context for this song is in-game, i forgor. so i'll play it again to see what the song means lol.

but gooseworx's use of the electric guitar here although a digital instrument is really cool! and an inspiration for me wanting to learn it myself lol :3

she made non undertale covers which i loved, like a cover of spooky scary skeletons:

and those are all great! but her own songs are where she shines a lot, and shows she can compose memorable things herself!

she also accompanies them with animations too sometimes! i'll admit, i haven't seen all her original work, but i have seen a few lol i mostly haven't seen the older stuff which i should get to. but her videos would be cool stuff like a whole trilogy of space themed girls walking with original music just to give an example:

there's also this song which you can kinda hear the tadc motif in:

they're usually always shitposts of some kind and even dipped into horror with her analog horror "the blue channel" (her playlist is backwards for some reason, look at the dates they were post them. watch them in reverse order of how the playlist has them. the first two episodes are mostly sounds and a blue screen)

i remember tho, the moment she really surprised me was when she dropped a full animated short film it was awesome seeing her pour her animation, art, and humor into a big project like this.

and i'm still nostalgic of it!

i remember when this video had like 15 million views, and i was so happy for her!! cause i was like. wow. she made it!! it was so special seeing how much attention this little short got.

but the best hadn't happened yet.. because after little runmo

she started making the PINK CITY which was the culmination of all she'd done so far, all styles of animations and shitposts and music and humor dumped into random wild videos that took place in the pink city!!! they all have special moments about them!

and i recommend watching the credits for all of them cause they have little jokes in them :3

dento takes the stair is pretty funny and not what i expected lol

Ghost of the year shows you Caine before Caine lol, the character there reminds me of him :3

Elain gets adopted might be my favorite, it's funny, dark sometimes, and has lots of callbacks and references to gooseworx's stuff!!

and The Daryl Boxman show is where you get to see Micheal Kovach and gooseworx work together for iirc the first time!!

there's tons more i haven't mentioned, gooseworx has been in animation collabs, made a webcomic, made the soundtrack for the hazbin hotel pilot here's angel dust's theme song, the motif of which appears even in the amazon show lol!

so this is just to say, i'm not a full expert, but i have been a casual fan for like almost a decade now :3

her success with digital circus felt deserved, i really didn't expect to see her go from silly youtuber who makes undertale covers to "wait are those t-shirts of her characters at hot topic?"

and i'm so happy her projects are going so well!

i remember seeing the tadc teaser on her channel long and eagerly waiting for the pilot's release!

and even after Tadc has had it's time in the spotlight and it's time to see what happens next, i'll be excited to see where she goes!!

So, I say this as someone who's been following the Vivienne Medrano hoopla for years, but take what @unicornmantises has to say with a grain of salt. There's been an open hate campaign against Medrano ever since her Zoophobia days. The majority of accusations against her have been revealed to be either based on a misunderstanding, minor things she's apologized for, things she had zero control over, or straight up fabrications. Not to mention there was a Google document claiming to have evidence from ex-Spindlehorse employees against Medrano, only for it to, surprise surprise, turn out that the accusers had lied about pretty much everything. This is not to say that Medrano is a perfect little angel who has done nothing wrong, but she also isn't the anti-christ like her hatedom portrays her as.

For what it's worth, I haven't seen the Hazbin Hotel series and don't know if I'll ever have time. Maybe it'll be good. Maybe it'll be bad. Who knows? But at least I have a life outside of hating a random woman I don't personally know.

I can assure you I have spent far less time thinking about Viziepop--let alone hating her--than you have going into people's asks and posting anonymous rants in her defense.

DONT APOLOGIZE I LOVE ASKS I COULD TALK ABOUT THIS SHOW ALL DAY. it is a little funny that we've ended up with a dynamic where the average background character in the show is like a horrible serial killer or cannibal but everyone at the hotel except for alastor is like. a genuinely good person who's just stuck in really shitty circumstances and wants to be better. im gonna b honest looking at the old versions of the characters i like them a lot less than the characters we ended up with. like i dont think i wouldve necessarily liked angel as much i distinctly remember kind of disliking him when i first watched the pilot. ur honor that is not my boy

i do like that we've seen a lot of good people in the show though i think it really highlights the idea that no one, the angels included, actually knows what gets you into hell or heaven. like who the fuck knows why angel or sir pentious are there, theyre a little misguided especially at the start of the show but pretty good people overall and even the seraphim couldnt justify them not being in heaven

Cooking. Not exactly a hobby but you know, I'd like to try some interesting recipes.

I didn't write down every single little thing I've seen, or still watch or am interested in cause there's so much stuff. This is just to get the idea about what I'd be very delighted to talk about, write about, or comment on.

If we're talking fanfiction, for many of the mentioned fandoms I've already got some stuff, or ideas at least, written down and might post it I'll see some interest. If I am to start then it would be with the band Ghost since they're pretty popular right now and I've got a nice amount of content for them.
