The Tale Of Skårr (wip)

Silence. A flying raven, its wings made of gold, its eyes red as an ember. Not a leave in the wind, nor a waterfall crashing as it met the hard stone of the mountain. Not a scream, nor a breath. Everything was quiet. Red met with red over the white stone, the fluid dancing around the golden circle: and so life was created. The King and Queen of Asgard had created her, from nothing but their blood and a golden ring. Proud Odin stood tall, ever proud, ever selfish. His gaze following the track of his own blood, his palm still wet from the cut. Freya frowned, uneasy, yet curious. Her eyes watching as the blood became one with gold, a tiny creature emerging from the resulting fluid. Skårr, daughter of Odin and Freya; sister to Thor, Baldr, Víðarr and Váli. Skårr: not a goddess, not Æsir nor Vanir. One of a kind, a creature of beauty and power. Invincible. From Asgard to Midgard; her only purpose to serve the All Father. The wisest of the Gods, the cruelest of them too. Watch and listen, lure them with your beauty, control them with your gaze. Odin said, cloak over his head and Gungnir on his hand. The sharp blade threatening the flesh of her throat, its cold end the only one capable of ending her life. And should you fail, so will your powers. No more foresight, no more immortality. Should you fail, you shall become one of them, weakest of creatures: humans.
