Tim has not implied Tommy will stick around, he has implied the exact opposite over and over again. He directly said Buck was just using him to get over Eddie.

The Texas scenes are not filmed at Fox Studios, they are filmed in Thousand Oaks and Santa Clarita.

Buck said that he has feelings for Eddie and not Tommy. He told Maddie he was just using Tommy. There is no BT.

Every single friends to lovers ship has a scene where they deny their feelings. I have not seen a friends to lovers ship that didn't do that scene. It would be weird if they accepted it immediately. I've also never seen a "What nooo we're just friends!" scene where it was actually true. Lmao can you imagine a scene in Psych where Juliet says she broke up with Shawn because she saw Gus as competition? That is not how you write platonic friendships. Which is clear from Buck already accidentally admitting to having feelings for Eddie earlier in the episode.

"There is no reason to bring Tommy back" 1. They brought Taylor and Abby back. 2. His purpose is to move the Buck and Eddie story along as it always has been. Like Tim said he has his "function."

Plot device characters are not there to be liked. The audience wasn't supposed to particularly enjoy Teddy in B99 or Emily in Friends or Zach in The OC or Louis in Gossip Girl etc. They are there to move the story along. If the audience is screaming in disgust over Buck hooking up with his racist ex and then cheering and relieved when Buck says he has feelings for Eddie and not him, that's all the better.

Ryan has talked about Eddie having a personal journey in Texas and it has been set up since 8A. He is not going to spoil the show. He also said Marisol and Eddie were going to last immediately before they broke up.

Tim just said he loves Buddie fans and we've been right to view Buddie as romantic all along. Why would he be saying fuck you to Buddie fans? That man is a Buddie fan.
