im probably not the first one talking about this and wont be the last, but i got so uncomfortable with the PJO series adaptation of Clarisse La Rue. i was eager for this adaptation, and hoping it wouldnt make some of the mistakes that bothered me in the movie, but they did make one of the mistakes that most bothered me: making Clarisse thin. while this isnt necessarily a huge problem for the storyline, still makes me upset because how can people try to market PJO as an inclusive and diverse series, if shit like this keeps getting done every time? i may be projecting bcs i already have my problems with riordan, but it is upsetting over all, seeing a chatacter which one of the most marking physical features is being buff, is being big, being turned into a thin character.
