What's up sluts (affectionate)
Welcome to my blog! Things you may care to know about me:
Name: Bee
Pronouns: she/her
Religion: Born and raised Catholic BUT BEFORE YOU MAKE ANY ASSUMPTIONS: I do not discriminate based on gender, ethnicity, sexuality, social standing, or religion. I am an ally to the queer community. I will never force my personal beliefs upon other people. It's sad I even have to make this disclaimer, but I'm aware many people have preconceived notions about Christians that are based on very real personal experiences. This is a safe space ship, I'm here to meet like-minded people not preach :)
Ethnicity: Pākehā living in Aotearoa
Sexuality: who knows at this point 😭 let's say unlabeled queer??
Other socials: Letterboxd, Spotify, Pinterest, Serializd
CW: this blog contains swearing and spoilers for all fandoms listed below. I can't think of anything else on here that warrants a TW, but if you see something, please let me know and I'll add it - that's valid!
I'm part of many, many fandoms, so if you're interested in them, take a look at things I've reblogged. Wanna talk about any of them? DM me (or whatever the tumblr equivalent is called). I'd love to chat (as you can tell by this disgustingly long intro post). I'll leave it open-ended so I can add more, because I am ravenously consuming more media - books, movies, TV shows, bands - and becoming more powerful.
MOVIES
Labyrinth, The Princess Bride, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Pride and Prejudice, Dead Poets Society, Knives Out, Stardust, Night at the Museum, Terminator, Jurassic Park, Labyrinth, Hunt for the Wilderpeople...
TV SHOWS
Doctor Who, Good Omens, Sherlock, Shadow and Bone (though it's absolutely awful compared to the awesome book series, it's special in its own way 🥴), Taskmaster, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Countdown, Our Flag Means Death, The Mighty Boosh, All the Light We Cannot See...
BOOKS
Shadow and Bone trilogy, Six of Crows duology, King of Scars duology, Good Omens: the Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch, Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, The Secret History, Harry Potter (side note: this blog is a safe space for LGBTQ+ people! I do not agree with JKR’s transphobic views, 99% of my fandom activity involves reading gay porn about her characters - yes, I am a whore for the marauders era), The Hunger Games, Percy Jackson/the Riordanverse, Heartstopper, The Picture of Dorian Gray, We Hunt the Flame, One Last Stop, Red, White, and Royal Blue, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, Howl’s Moving Castle, The Traitor and the Thief duology, Kaitangata Twitch, Heidi series, Little Women series, most things by Roald Dahl, the Robert Langdon series, All the Light We Cannot See...
BANDS/MUSIC
Queen, the Beatles, David Bowie, Aerosmith, The Beautiful South, Green Day, AC/DC, Bon Jovi, ABBA, the Bee Gees, Elton John, Elvis Presley…
MISC.
Hamilton the musical, SIX the musical…
TAGS
#save that for later is for helpful stuff I want to refer back to (and it's definitely not a Mel Giedroyc (S4) Taskmaster reference)
#bee answers is for me answering asks. Please, feel free to ask away! I love yapping to at moots :)

Find the Words!
This tag came from @dogmomwrites! Thanks for tagging me in - I've been looking to get back into these.
Passing on with soft tags for @i-can-even-burn-salad, @k--havok, @authoralexharvey, and @writing-with-melon. Your words will be blue, night, first, and away. If you can't find one, leave a fun fact about your WIP, OCs, or writing process!
My words were beyond, disturb, fetch, and dark. Be forewarned - some of it is NSFW :)
Beyond
Claimed by the Flame of Faery - coming out Oct 18
"Both?" he asked, breathy and full of hunger. "Uh-huh," I gasped out in return, clinging to him. Gods, I was the one undone by him. I couldn't think beyond the thrust and drag of his cock inside me, except to crave more. I needed it—needed him—couldn't believe I'd gone weeks without this. "Fuck, Varis, now, please—" Something hit the floor as Varistan fumbled with the bedside table. He snarled a curse, then simply yanked the drawer fully out of the table and snatched the bottle of oil out of the ensuing chaos. He stroked oil down along the spade of his tail, shuddering from it. With a low growl, he shifted and bit the other side of my neck, his hips snapping against mine. "Gods, Bells, I love feeling your cunt grab me when I sink these dragon's fangs into your pretty neck—"
Disturb
The Goddess of Passion (Part 1: Sacrificed to the Goddess)
I'm actually publishing this on Kindle Vella under the pen name Alessandra Caine!
I was finishing up my meal, practicing my sultry lounging on the couch as I fed myself grapes like I was my own lover, when there was a knock on the door of my suite. I sat up, somewhat surprised at being disturbed. "Come in," I called, setting my grapes back down in their bowl. The door opened, and Merula stepped through. She bowed to me, then stood again. "Your glory, I have with me a hetaira from Nehisk District. He is renowned as a dancer, and is said to be an excellent lover." I raised my eyebrow at her when she hesitated, curious as to why she was giving me this introduction without him next to her. "And?" I asked, trying to keep my voice gentle. She licked her lips. "He is a daemon, your glory, and was attacked three months ago by a man who despised his kind, and who killed two others before he was caught and executed. He bears the scars from it, and can no longer work as a hetaira, but you said..." She hesitated again, then took a breath and continued. "You said you wanted people of all kinds, your glory. I recalled the trial, and sought him out for you."
Fetch
Rain in the Desert - backburner WIP
I stepped forward and held out the lantern. "Trade you," I said with a smile. "I'll fetch the things and meet you up there. You can hang the lantern up so I know where to go. Would you like anything besides hoof supplies?" He let me shoulder my pack before taking the lantern. One of his fingers brushed against mine as he wrapped them around the handle. Heat shocked down my arm, thudding into my chest as my heart quickened and my cheeks warmed. It felt as if I'd never been touched before—as if the soft contact of his index finger running along the side of my pinkie had made that sense bloom into life. I swallowed, trying not to stare at him, or to look like some sort of desperate maiden swooning over the attention of her beau. This wasn't like that. Ash wasn't like that—would never look at someone like me with interest. That he trusted me enough to let me help him with his feet was nothing short of miraculous. To be attracted to him - to even think about indulging that attraction - was ridiculous.
Dark
King of Ice and Shadow - WIP - planned for Jan 2024
The door of ice shatters. Even expecting it, I jump, the broken-glass sound so shocking I start sweating despite the cold. It falls like a chandelier cut from the ceiling, crystal skittering across the frozen ground. One shard kisses my boot. I crush it underfoot. Through that dark doorway steps my fate. The Winter King is so cold and stark that even the firelight can't warm him. I take him in with a glance made sharp by adrenaline. His long hair falls down his back like a waterfall of ice. A crown of crystal and silver rests on his head. A unicorn's tail curls behind him, brushing the ground. The winter chill seems to roll off his skin, as if he carries a glacier in his soul.

House of Lies and Sorrow by Emily Blackwood
268 pages, published July 6, 2022 - 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Now do not get me wrong this book was a fun ride and gave me just what I needed, however, I will admit it is one that after reading I quickly forgot major pieces (which is gonna cause trouble with the sequel coming out on September 26th of this year)

[Full comic transcript under cut in addition to the alt text.]
So I've been working on a short comic, and here's a preview of the first five pages and the cover. They still need some cleanup and editing, and the rest of the pages of course, but I hope you enjoy them!
Images: First is a cover, in greens, oranges and purples. Title: The Orc and Her Bride, A Comic by Zoe Maxine. The illustration shows a surprised orc woman in a fancy cape and circlet holding an equally surprised dark skinned elf woman in a creamy bridal dress and crown.
Page 1. Full page drawing of the orc woman, looking far more ramshackle, covered in blood on a pile of bodies, and holding a giant axe. She pants with exhaustion.
Page 2. She looks over to see three people murmuring around a nearby building. Orc: "Don't tell me there's more." The three pointy eared people approach, looking frightened. Bearded man with his hands raised: "Mistress - Please, have mercy." The Orc is shocked, before she looks down, muttering, "Not looking forward to this part." Looking at the bearded fellow she says, "I will not harm the unarmed." Sighing, the bearded man says, "Thank you, Mistress." Avoiding his eyes, the orc says, "I don't deserve your thanks. I have killed many of your brethren."
Page 3. Two of the people exchange a look between them, faces neutral. Bearded one: "…Our soldiers, yes." The other, an older woman with short hair, looks at the orc. "Mistress, where do you come from?" Bearded one: "Why have you done this?" A shadow passes over the orc's face. "I am from Eskerfort." The next panel shows her saying "And… because I am from Eskerfort." over a flashback to her kneeling on the ground, defeated, in front of burning houses with soldiers barely visible in the background.
The two people in the present look away, almost ashamed, saying "Ah," with understanding.
Page 4. Looking down at the bodies below her, the orc says, "I am tired of bloodshed. I have avenged my kin. I will darken your doorways no more and leave you in peace." As she turns to leave, however, the beareded one rushes forward. "Wait! Worrier! Stop! Please!" The elfin woman looks up at her, asking, "Do you not know our laws?" Together the two try to point out something to the orc. "Look, please!" "Look!" Among the bodies is a fancily dressed one wearing a circlet. Off-panel, the people say, "That one you killed among the dead - he was our king." One of them reaches down to grab the circlet.
Page 5: Looking concerned, the orc woman says, "Are you asking me to be executed? For Regicide?" As the elfin woman is doing something, the bearded one puts his hands on his hips and looks up sternly. "No, Warrior, we are asking you to take responsibility."
The elfin woman holds the circlet up to the orc. It shines. "Our laws are clear," she says, "Whoever kills the king becomes the new king."
The orc stares ahead, eyes becoming pinpricks. "What?"
The next panel has her dressed in a fur lined cape with the circlet on her head, her hair being brushed. She has the exact same expression on her face. "what?"
The last panel has her sitting at the head of a long table with all the elfin people enjoying themselves around her. "what"
