i would wish everyone a merry christmas today, but i can’t. not when yesterday on christmas eve, the IOF slaughtered over 70 people at a palestinian refugee camp with one airstrike. i can’t wish everyone a merry christmas when today on the birth of the son, christ’s birthplace of bethlehem was raided; with people being bombed and arrested. i cannot wish everyone a merry christmas when countless christian palestinians and palestinians of other faiths are being systematically murdered by an apartheid state who knows that people won’t care because they are too distracted by this holiday that has been hijacked by capitalistic greed.
I will not be wishing everyone a merry christmas and i will not forget about palestine this holiday.
NO ONE IS FREE UNTIL WE ALL ARE!!

In your Foster AU or/and 5 years late AU... how would Sam deal with Tara acting up? Just tiny everyday things parents deal with. Like, Tara refusing to brush her teeth, not wanting to go to bed, not eating her vegetables or crying at the checkout b/c Sam didn't buy the candy she wanted. And let's say it's a good day for Tara, so, like, she's not coming from a place of trauma but genuinely just being petulant b/c she can and she's just a kid. Curious to see how Sam would react in your opinion!
I've answered something similar a little here.
So in Foster AU, if Tara has outbursts, she'll be sent to her room to calm down. Otherwise, generally, the problems get worked through via conversation, a why are you doing this? Sometimes Tara wants a reaction from Sam, and despite how frustrating it is for her, Sam makes sure not to give her one, so that it doesn't encourage it. Sam in this AU very much keeps herself in control and tries to use conversation to deal with Tara, because that's how she learns best, by talking things out.
In Five Years Late AU, they have a little less baggage, so there's more room for topics like grounding, confiscating, and Sam reacting badly if Tara really gets on her nerves (aka, yelling and then feeling immensely guilty about it). Sam's not afraid to manhandle Tara when they're upset with each other in this AU, she will just pick her up when she's having a tantrum and force her where she needs to go.
In Foster AU, Sam's more likely to try and negotiate with Tara, vs FYL where Sam will do the "I'm the adult and what I say goes" routine. But don't be too harsh on her, Sam in this AU is actually more protective and has more to worry about than in Foster AU, where things are very much more controlled.

There's an absolutely insufferable class of person on this website (and twitter) that will be like:
"Well, I'd totally let [marginalized group of people] hurt me for the greater good."
First of all, no you wouldn't, you performative clout-chasing coward.
Second, I don't want to hurt anyone. I just want people to stop fucking doing what they're doing to hurt others. I know this website loves to scream "VIOLENCE IS THE ONLY ANSWER! REVOLUTION!" but the cold, hard fact they never wanna swallow is change for ANY goal takes a lot of thankless, boring, behind the scenes work where you are not the main character of the story.
Your performative anger is insufferable, and just that- performative.

Hey if you’re based in the UK use this link to email your MP to demand a ceasefire and an end to the siege on Gaza
https://palestinecampaign.eaction.online/ceasefire
It’s super easy and quick to do, just put in your postcode and it’ll find your MP for you!!
The email is already written out and you just have to add in your address as your MP can only respond and represent their own constituents

Imagine cutting humanitarian aid to any country around the world without batting an eyelash. People at their most vulnerable -who are being massively ethnically cleansed and displaced -who are being permanently disabled because of destructive bombings and with whom will probably have little to no resources to help them manage these disabilities their entire lives, who have been and are at the brink of starvation and death... this is what these western/European countries are doing instead of the bare minimum which is a ceasefire.
Albeit it's not a surprise to me (or most of us) since settler-colonial and imperial countries like the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK have notorious histories of genocides against Indigenous people and have been (and currently are) perpetrators of imperial violence.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency provides basic assistance for people -and to deny that life-saving help to Palestinian people (because we know what this is about) is aligning with IOF terrorism -and it undeniably makes these governments all equally complicit.
My MP's office is closed on weekends but I'll be calling and emailing her, and then emailing genocidal apologist Trudeau. Call and/or email your representatives. This is beyond heinous. I truly don't think these governments could sink any lower -be any more evil, and then they do and it's beyond disgraceful.
