Since I saw that post about og!Cale solving a murder crime in Alberu's noble meeting, I've been obsessed with detective!ogCale, who solves crimes on his free time because he's too fucking bored.

I'm talking about an AU where bsd happens in the world of tboah/tcf. So, while a member of the agency was going through the county for reasons, they witness og!Cale stealthy dropping a hint about a mystery to a near knight. Then he leaves, pretending to be drunk all the way to his home.

What everyone else sees is the local drunkard ready to cause trouble at the minor inconvenience.

What the detective in question sees is a very bright teen, good at solving crimes, who has nothing to do but pretend to be drunk. Needless to say, they take Cale back with them.

(It could be anyone, but it's most likely to be Dazai if they just take Cale with them and don't tell anyone. Though, I think it would be funny if it was Kenji the one who did it. Double-way adoption ensues)

Og!Cale is puzzled at how he ended up at the Armed Detective Agency as a recruit, but he doesn't complain. He even likes his job and his coworkers, even if Dazai keeps trying to unalive himself.

Propaganda under the cut!

Fukuzawa Yukichi:

1. “At about 32 he used to be an bodyguard for hire who only works alone then he met this 14 year old (Ranpo) who had no parents and was kicked out of the police academy. He ended up feeding him (I think Ranpo was homeless at this point not 100% sure tho. He is also a genius estimated iq as high as 200) and said he would help him free of charge (bodyguard) if he called. He ended up getting called and investigated something with him. Ranpo saw the world very plainly and cried to Fukuzawa about how scary it is. Fukuzawa helped Ranpo realize that not everyone is pretending not to know things they literally don't know what he does (big issue with Ranpo partly what he was crying about too i think. They have an entire episode (i think it's the first one in the 4th season) devoted to their backstory together which is black, white, and gray when it's from Ranpo's perspective until Fukuzawa helps him realize this and it turns colored. Fukuzawa ends up deciding he wants to create a detective agency (working with others!) with Ranpo not yet tho we still have one more kid first. Later when Fukuzawa's doing a bodyguard job he along with Ranpo end up rescuing a girl (Yosano!) from the man he was guarding (future mafia boss currently a doctor). Yosano ends up becoming a doctor for the detective agency when it's created. After it's created he ends up taking in another 14 year old (Kenji).

He also loves cats and has shoujo anime-esque cherry blossom flashbacks with his old childhood friend who asked him if he wanted to go to fight in war with him, Fukuzawa denied his request. They also have a like 15 min soft-lighting conversation while watching their memories of their childhood together in the latest ep.”

2. “This man literally created a whole detective agency for this one really smart boy (Ranpo) and taught him that he wasn't the one in the wrong but everyone else when he couldn't understand people. Then, he saves Yosano from the trauma this other guy was inflicting on her and brings her to the Agency. The Agency basically becomes the place where all his kids are. His special ability lets those in the Agency control their abilities so Atsushi and Kyouka don't have to be afraid of their out of control abilities anymore. He cares so much for all of them and during the Cannibalism arc when his life is literally on the line, they do everything in their power to save him.”

3. “My guy just CANNOT stop adopting kids. He went from lone wolf assassin to Dad of Many. His first (adopted) child, Ranpo, basically forced him to adopt him (he was like “I’m a teenager with no family or home. You GOTTA adopt me. Because I say so.”) From there he kept accidentally adopting every orphan he came across. Honestly the detective agency is more like a glorified orphanage except they let their kids carry guns.”

4. “A former Goverment assassin who stopped once he realized he was starting to enjoy killing people, Fukuzawa is looking for a job when he bumps into Ranpo, a genius capable of figuring out any mystery, who can’t understand how the world works. Taking Ranpo under his wing Fukuzawa tries a white lie that Ranpo has a special ability and manages to let Ranpo interact with the world without fear for the first time in years since he can know understand the problem wasn’t everyone acting like they couldn’t figure out things but that no one was as smart as him. They found the Armed Detective Agency specifically to use Ranpo’s abilities to help people and to have jobs.

He then saves Yosano from Mori, his ex something who after using her special ability to heal any injury as long as the person is about to die during the War, wanted to use it take control of their local mafia. Instead Fukuzawa and Ranpo rescue her and let her recover from her trauma and come into herself.

He then goes on to provide a place for Kunikida to fulfill his ideals, Dazai a place to do good after his own past in the mafia, Kenji a place to help people, Tanizaki and Naomi (siblings that don’t seem to have any guardians) work to support them, and Atsushi a place to work on his own trauma by protecting people. Fukuzawa later let’s Kyouka, another defection from the mafia, stay and work at the agency so she can help people and not have to kill them anymore. The entire Armed Detective Agency live in dorms that Fukuzawa provided. He also is very protective, putting everything on the line to help members of the Agency escape any danger he knows of. Like when Atsushi is kidnapped he bribes Ranpo to find him and sends Kunikida to rescue him. He sees any danger to the agency and its members as something for him to stop.”

Favorite thing about them: Her backstory,,, It's just a masterpiece, for me it's really the peak of bsd's writing. “We don't want your skill. We want that kindness of yours” and “You don't need a skill at all. There's real value in your sadness.” ueueueueueueue. In two chapters it made of a relatively flat character a complex and human one, and we love to see that.

Least favorite thing about them: Nothing, she's great??? I can't think of anything.

Favorite line: There's no line that hits me in particular I can think of, but I really like the emotion / delivery of some of them. This one I like tons:

brOTP: Aaaaahhh I love her I want to see her interact with everyone. Older-sister kind of characters are ALWAYS my favourite. I love her dynamics with Ranpo and I like to think they have this sort of sibling complicity of two people who have known each other for a very long time and love each other deeply. I like her relationship with Fukuzawa, I like how explicitly protective he is of her, I'm glad she has someone she can trust who looks after her and makes her feel loved. (Actually, the Yosano / Fukuzawa relationship makes me emotional. Because Yosano was so deeply traumatized and broken and basically dead when he took her under his wing, and she looks so healthy and confident and serene in the canon timeline, it's basically a miracle; and the only way this could have happened is by having someone who deeply loved and cared for her, someone who kindly guided her through every step of rehabilitation. It moves me a little). I really enjoyed her interactions with Atsushi!! And I like to think Yosano and Kyouka would hang out, I feel like Yosano would be happy to sort of return the favour and help back a little girl who was able to slip out of the darkness just in time; I can see them have this kind of inter generational relationship where they go shopping together and chat about girl things.

OTP: I really like kousano!!! I feel like Yosano deserves her spicy pm love affair too ahah. I think it's got lots of potential for both fluff and angst, and I believe it's a cool relationship to explore for both characters!! I wish they'd meet in canon. When I first watched the anime I was low-key into ranposano, and though I don't feel very strongly about them anymore, I think it's a nice ship nonetheless!

Random headcanon: Something I don't think I ever brought up but that I firmly believe in is that whereas all the other ada members live at the ada dorms, Yosano, Ranpo and Fukuzawa have their own house where they live together. Fukuzawa took Ranpo to his home when he adopted him, and then Yosano joined them when they took her in because I mean, there was no way that they could leave her alone, right? So they've always lived together, and they are happy together, they never felt the need to change that. That's the real ada found family for me if there ever was one. Really like deconstructing the idea of nuclear family or of the fact that children can't live with their parents as adults while still being independent. Also it just makes sense? And it's heartwarming to think that Fukuzawa, the lone wolf with no friends of relations, now lives in a happy and lively household.

Unpopular opinion: Yosano existing isn't enough to beat the bsd being sexist allegations, I'm so sorry everyone I wish that was the case.

nothing was scarier than you—a child no older than six or seven, with gojo satoru as her adoptive father back at home with him, megumi, and everyone, and dazai osamu as her guardian or older brother figure in his very own world or universe, as well as being the scarlet witch—because it only meant one thing: you were dangerous and very capable.

however, because of your powers as the scarlet witch, you were given the opportunity to assist the armed detective agency.

apart from dimensional travel, just because you're capable of harnessing chaos magic, warping reality, and manipulating psionic energy doesn't make you a dangerous threat. no, the higher-ups at jujutsu tech in your home world or universe were wrong.

you use your cursed blessing for good, as you promised your adoptive father, gojo, which is why you chose to help dazai and everyone else in their world. you would never ever use it to hurt anyone!

at present, you were helping out the armed detective agency as usual. you were currently accompanying dazai and kunikida. as explained by fukuzawa and ranpo, you guys were after a suspect who's responsible for the odd mishap in a certain area in yokohama. it was supposed to be no big deal, but that was until they looked over one thing—the suspect was an ability user.

"uncle kunikida!" you cried out, leaping into action to dart towards the blonde young man who had been knocked out and had both of his gun and book taken from him, disabling from using his the matchless poet ability.

however, before you could run to kunikida who was being cornered with the suspect all of you were after, dazai had took hold of you.

"[name]-chan! no!" dazai exclaimed, pulling you to him as you squirmed in his hold, "you stay with me! it's too dangerous to close in!"

"but uncle kunikida!" you exclaimed in a panic, watching get hurt, tears glazing your eyes as kunikida staggered back on his feet, wiping the blood that was trailing from his lips and dripping down to his chin.

"i'm fine, [name]," kunikida managed to say as he faced the suspect, "just stay with dazai!"

you couldn't bear to watch your uncle kunikida all defenseless as he faced the suspect from a distance since he didn't want you to get hurt and dazai just couldn't leave you all by yourself.

although you had easily tracked down the suspect using your capability to read and get into people's minds, there was another miscalculation yet again. dazai had nearly forgotten he couldn't nullify your powers.

when the suspect's hand began to glow, all of your eyes widened, and before any of you could further react, your powers had caused you to augment you speed. you ignored dazai and kunikida's protests as you darted. you appeared right in front of kunikida just as the light of the suspect's ability aimed for him. despite the fact that you arrived on time, your chaos magic failed to activate, and you took the hit yourself.

"[NAME]-CHAN!!" "[NAME]!" both of them yelled your name in unison.

as the light and smoke emanating from you and the collision of the said ability dissipated, what kunikida and dazai discovered had them both screaming—well, mostly it was kunikida, since dazai was more squealing than screaming.

there you were on the floor, with small tufts of [color]-hair and bright [color] eyes, looking around as you were a literal baby rather than a child of about five or so. yes, you heard or read that right. you had truly become the personification of a baby fushiguro. the ability user had gotten away while dazai and kunikida were distracted by you turning into a baby.

"SHIT!" kunikida exclaimed in a panic, clutching his sides of his head and pulling at his hair, "[NAME] JUST TURNED INTO A BABY!"

dazai, on the other hand, stared at you with wonder as he cooed at you, "BUT, SHE'S SO CUTE! JUST LOOK AT THE LITTLE BELLA!~"

dazai quickly picked you up from the ground, tickling your nose with his finger, causing you to squeal and make happy baby noises, which made him coo even more.

"THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO BE COOING AT [NAME]! WE NEED TO HEAD BACK NOW!" kunikida smacked dazai on the back of the head and took you away from him, holding you firmly yet gently with utmost care in his embrace, bundling you with the clothes you were wearing earlier that had gotten too big on you.

kunikida rushed you and dazai to the car and drove away. while driving, kunikida called fukuzawa and put the phone in speaker mode, already panicking and bombarding him with countless apologies for allowing the suspect to flee and for your involvement.

in the meantime, dazai was smothering you with affection, squishing your cheek and bouncing you on his lap. you were absolutely adorable as a baby! he couldn't seem to get enough of you. it was no surprise that gojo was fond of you when he first met and got you.

everyone was already at the door when kunikida and dazai got out of the car and entered the office of the armed detective agency, having heard of kunikida from fukuzawa's phone call earlier. yosano had her medkit ready, and naomi and kirako were already on standby, everyone expecting you to be injured or something, so they were all surprised to see them return with dazai holding a baby you in his arms.

"[NAME]-CHAN?!" atsushi exclaimed in a gasp, recognizing you because of your tuffs of [color] hair and bright [color] eyes.

"ah!" you exclaimed, squealing as you adorably raised your hands in the air.

"dazai, kunikida, why on earth is [name] a baby?" fukuzawa was taken aback that he completely lost his cool and calm demeanor.

"i was being cornered and [name] rushed in last minute using her own abilities to take the hit instead," kunikida explained, bowing his head so low. "i'm extremely sorry for failing to protect [name] and get the ability user, president."

"well, on the bright side, at least [name] isn't hurt," yosano exclaimed, already examining you for injuries as you made baby noises and grabby hands for her while being in dazai's arms.

"she's fine. no bruises, scratches, or anything," yosano took you in her arms this time, making dazai pout and sulk, and she couldn't help but smile fondly at you, "you're all right, [name]."

"well, that's what matters most right now," fukuzawa sighed in relief, turning to kunikida and dazai, "as long as [name] didn't get hurt, i can overlook it."

"what are we going to do now?" tanizaki asked, watching his sister, naomi, and the other clerk, kirako, gawk at you and give you headpats.

"first and foremost, considering her current situation, we need to look after [name] with extra care this time, get her some baby food, clothes, and such," fukuzawa exclaimed to all of his detectives and clerks, "at the same time, we also need to find the ability user who turned her into a baby as soon as possible or else she won't be able to return to her normal self or get back home at all."

"can't we just keep [name]-chan as a baby and take care of her ourselves?" dazai grumbled, pouting as he folded his arms across his chest.

"[name] has a father who is awaiting her return back at her home," kunikida huffed, pinching the bridge of his nose, "and he's going to freak out when he realizes his child has been gone for too long, or worse, has turned into a baby!"

"i agree with kunikida-san, we can't have [name]-chan's father worry about her," atsushi patted your head, his sweat dropping as he can already imagine gojo freaking out because you've told them before how your father reacts when you disappear or run off nonchalantly.

the armed detective agency had dealt with a variety of situations in the past, but they had never taken care of a baby. sure, they had previously looked after you, but you weren't an infant. you used to be much older than you are now. so, you can bet that everyone is going all out to care for you—but mostly it's just kunikida.

kunikida's motherhenning towards you had just leveled up to a three. kunikida is practically telling everyone what to do and what not to do, and he has grown even more protective of you. he is, in fact, the second most responsible member of the armed detective agency, after fukuzawa, who is everyone's father, grandfather, and even uncle figure.

"ranpo-san! you cannot feed [name] a lollipop right now! it's a choking hazard for her!" kunikida scolded ranpo and nearly died of a heart attack when he saw him hand you a lollipop. poor ranpo had gotten a 40-minute scolding and rant about baby choking hazards.

"dazai, do not run with a baby in your arms! i'm going to strangle you alive if you drop [name]! give her to me right now!" kunikida then scolded dazai for running around the armed detective agency while also tossing you in the air to play 'airplane' with you.

"naomi, tanizaki, that is not the proper way to hold a baby!" kunikida was also very strict about how everyone was handling you, "like this! you're supposed to hold [name] like this!"

to be honest, dazai and ranpo enjoyed pushing kunikida's buttons, so they intentionally make the poor man panic and freak out by doing the exact opposite thing he asks of them as a joke (they make sure their antics won't harm you in any way) which is why kunikida is entrusting you more to atsushi, yosano, and fukuzawa right now, but it isn't working that well given that dazai is still your favorite.

oh, and kyouka is quite thrilled at the sight of you. she's been staring at you with curious round eyes since dazai arrived with you. kyouka was acting like an older sibling who was both curious and excited to meet her younger sibling for the first time as she extended her finger to you while atsushi held you in his arms because kunikida was busy lecturing dazai and ranpo for being irresponsible in their handling of you.

"would you like to hold [name]-chan, kyouka-chan?" atsushi asked, watching kyouka softly smile and giggle as you wrapped your tiny hand around her finger.

"i can?" kyouka blinked at atsushi before turning to face you, who was making happy noises as you reached for her.

"see? even [name]-chan wants you to hold her," atsushi chuckled softly as he drew you closer to kyouka, who tensed for a moment as she nervously extended her hands to you.

"don't worry, kyouka-chan; you can do it!" naomi exclaimed alongside tanizaki as kyouka carried you in her arms.

"yes, i'll do my best," kyouka exclaimed, embracing you firmly but gently. she looked down at you and couldn't help but laugh softly when you played with the flower in her hair, "cute..." she muttered with a smile.

everyone took turns holding you, including kenji, ranpo, and even kirako, but only for a short time because you had a tantrum after being separated from dazai for too long.

"well, would you look at that? even as a baby, [name]-chan still looks for dazai-san," atsushi chuckled softly, scratching the nape of his neck as yosano, who was supposed to feed you a milk formula they had all purchased, instead handed you to dazai along with a baby bottle.

"now, now, little bella," dazai hushed you with a very soft, fatherly tone as he cradled and fed you in his arms, smiling fondly at the sight of you, "it's okay. no need to cry. i got you now."

"well, [name] did mention before that dazai reminds her so much of her dad, gojo," ranpo exclaimed as he ate his snacks. "they both act alike and are untouchable, she says."

"if [name] said her father is just like dazai, then i can already imagine him being annoying," kunikida sighed, shuddering at the thought.

"hey!" dazai cried out, pretending to be hurt.

the armed detective agency had finally found the ability user who was responsible for turning you into a baby after keeping you busy with playing and just taking care of you for the entire day, but dazai wasn't as thrilled as the others.

"whaaat, already?" dazai lamented in the conference room, watching as fukuzawa and kunikida pinpointed the suspect's location as he held you in his arms and let you play with his bolo tie.

"what do you mean 'already?'" kunikida asked, furrowing both his brows.

"but i don't want [name]-chan to grow up yet!" dazai whined, pressing and nuzzling his cheek against yours as he lifted you close to his face and caused you to burst out laughing fondly. he was behaving exactly like a father would at the prospect of his baby no longer being a baby.

"don't be stupid, we can't keep [name] as a baby forever, dazai," kunikida exclaimed sternly.

"that is true, kunikida-kun," dazai sighed deeply in defeat as he placed you on his lap, peering down at you before a small yet sad smile graced his lips, "i'm going to miss [name]-chan as a baby, but i also miss being able to play and eat with her, and hear her call me dazai-nii too."

the armed detective agency nodded and agreed with dazai. although they adored you as a baby, they miss you when you were five to six years old. they, like dazai, missed being able to eat, play, and talk to you. furthermore, they were well aware that they were not parents. they can't look after you for much longer because none of them have any experience as one. you really had to go back to your much older self.

kunikida was driving again, while dazai sat in the back with you on his lap, and everything was set in motion to have the ability user cancel his ability. while the three of you were on your way, you appeared to have a present of sorts for dazai, who was looking a little down.

to keep you entertained, dazai was fiddling and playing with your tiny fingers with his much larger one while ignoring kunikida's alleged plan to corner the ability user. dazai was spacing out when you decided to repeat your supposedly first words as a baby. you squealed and looked up at dazai with a gummy, happy smile.

"dada!"

dazai's eyes widened in surprise. kunikida was so taken aback by your tiny voice, along with dazai's, that he nearly stepped on the brakes.

"did [name] just say her first word?" kunikida looked at you in disbelief from rear view mirror

you repeated, "dada!" as if to answer kunikida's question and beat dazai. you then giggled while making grabby hands at dazai.

one thing was certain: dazai wasn't the type to be surprised easily, but he was so taken aback right now that when he opened his mouth, no words came out. as he looked down at you with wide eyes, he was speechless. so speechless.

dazai continued stared at you with his mouth agape before finally pulling himself together when you jolted him back to reality by tugging on his finger and calling him again.

"[name]-chan!" dazai exclaimed, shaking his head, a blush spreading across his face, "i'm not your dada! i-i'm dazai-nii!"

"dada! dada!" you continued to call him in any case, making dazai's chest all fuzzy and warm, and his heart practically explode on the inside.

was that how you saw him? was it just because you were a baby that you thought dazai was your father? or perhaps you were attempting to say "dazai" but ended up saying "dada" instead? but, in any case, you got dazai so emotional with your word, your first word as a baby all over again, that a tear rolled down his cheek.

dazai may not admit it out loud, but he truly saw you as family; his own child of sorts rather than his little sibling or niece, and you, addressing him your "dada" just warmed his heart.

"... dazai? are you okay?" kunikida inquired, his sweat dropping as he noticed him silently sniffling as he held you in his arms, embracing you from the rearview mirror. this was the first time kunikida saw his colleague this vulnerable.

"i'm fine.." dazai replied quietly as he embraced you and buried his face in your tuffs of [color] hair to hide the tears on his face while gently rubbing shapes on your back as you cooed.

"hmm, maybe you really are [name]'s father in this world of ours," kunikida remarked with a soft genuine smile gracing his lips as he stepped on the brakes, arriving at the location of the ability user, "i'd say you're experiencing one of the joys of being one right now, dazai,"

Ranpo! Is! Autistic Coded!

Hear me out! I definitely think Ranpo from BSD is Autistic coded! It only occurred to me during my second watch-through but a lot of his mannerisms actually match up a lot with my own experiences as someone with ASD! :0

I found a whole article explaining a lot of different things that make him Autistic coded so I'll link it here! But I'll also make a TLDR version too in case the link doesn't work!

So based off of all of the Ranpo LORE revealed in the first episode his Autism beams are stronger than ever because HEAR ME OUT!!!

So it's revealed that Ranpo always gets perceived as childish even when he doesn't wish to be perceived that way (I know he's 14 but he says something along the lines of like "Here we go again, getting treated like a child") which is something many people with Autism (me included) have to deal with from our NT peers

AND! Not to mention the particular eating habits from when Fukuzawa was taking him out to eat red bean bowls with mochi in them and he didn't eat any of the mochi (in any of the 20 bowls)

AAAAAND! This is the spiciest part! It was revealed that Ranpo kept getting fired from jobs because of how blunt he was with the truth and how he would easily confront his superiors about their past or their crimes! It's so hard for many Autistic people to keep a job oftentimes because many of us don't understand social cues!

Another thing was that Ranpo automatically assumed that all of the tiny details he noticed were common knowledge and that everyone was on the same page as him, when in actuality he was noticing things that nobody else had yet to pick up on!

There were many other moments where Ranpo either didn't pick up on social cues or said/acted in ways that were out of pocket or not "normal" if that makes sense, and it only strengthens the argument that Ranpo is Autistic coded!

And then he has a small meltdown in the theater and you can clearly see people are starting to stare if you look closely

IN EPISODE 3, Ranpo also notes that he can't pay attention to things he has no interest in, which is something I personally really struggle with (especially as a college student RIP)

I'm not 100% sure if his breakdown at the end of episode 3 would constitute as something that should be added to this list, but I think it's noteworthy because I myself have also had similar meltdowns that went very similar to Ranpo's and I want to mention it.

I know I keep expanding this list as I find more and more content but somehow Ranpo's existence and the way he is unanimously respected and loved by the ADA is somehow really validating and comforting to me at the same time. I know BSD is fiction but somehow I see myself in Ranpo and yearn to be loved in the way that he is by all of his friends.

The Genius Switch, Chapter One.

The air is thick with a sweet nostalgia. Or maybe bitter, both better yet. Osamu takes in the taste, exhaling it out as he steps over the wooden floor boards. His Rose red eyes look out the office window, gazing at the early morning's streets. His expression grows lost as his mind falls somewhere else.

A former Dazai appeared behind his eyes. A young, crime tattered boy with nothing in his blood red irises. A fading reflection in the very window he looks at presently. The little Osamu glanced at the glass only to follow the sound of a sorrowful man's voice in the other room. Dazai just barely managed to reach the knob of the door and open it, walking into a stuff conversation between a retired samurai- and an obvious murderer. Alarmingly normal for him to see such those days. The silver haired man's eyes widened at the little boy's appearance. Startled by the fact a boy no older than ten years old was here in the same building as an assassin- but also to see the state the child was in. He slowly walked up to Dazai, careful not to alarm him and spoke.

"What are you doing here, young man? Where are your parents?" His voice sounded... Conflicting. Inviting and caring yet with a hint of distance. He was panicked, clearly eager for him to leave. The older man glanced between the office worker and the closet nearby. Dazai knew there was danger there. Why else would the man be so scared? The threat wasn't who the man thought it was, though. That much was on ious to Dazai. His dull eyes stared into the older man's,observing him subconsciously. He was like a wolf. Big, scary, and capable. Yet also compassionate and protective. The wolf looked him over, concern growing. The finely dressed man turned to see Dazai, and felt worried as well, yet his compassion could not compare to the wolf's. "Young man, can you understand me?" Dazai nodded. The lack of an expression sent shivers down the wolf's spine. "Could you tell me why you're here?" Dazai didn't respond, and instead looked away and towards the man in a suit. He waddled to him, stepping over the papers on the floor. The fancy man scowled and raised his voice.

"HEY! GET OFF MY WORK!" Dazai stopped abruptly and stared at the pathetic man with an empty expression. No sign of fear or sadness. Nothing at all. The man's breath hitched in his dry throat as he slightly crawled away. Dazai continued walking towards him, and suddenly pulled on the man's sleeve. The young boy looked back at the wolf and pointed at the coward beside him.

"He pushed. I saw." Dazai's voice was dry, emotionless, and scratched. A heavy silence fell onto the wolf and the man as they looked at each other in shock.

The memory becomes blurry after that. Fukuzawa had the true murderer arrested, as well as the kid assassin, Sakunosuke Oda. He remembers following Fukuzawa to a theater, where something similar happened. The fox-like boy came back at some point- though Dazai doesn't remember exactly how or why. Then he recalls a police station, where officers asked him a lot of questions. That was until the head of their department came in and stopped the entire thing before they could get any decent information out of him. Osamu's clearest memories after that were of the wolf man- Fukuzawa, taking him back to his apartment and feeding him. The look on his face when he saw how much he ate made Osamu laugh to this day. His adoptive father however, didn't find any humor in it. He was given a bath, a temporary makeshift bed, and new clothes. Years went by without Osamu ever speaking a word, and yet he had helped solve countless mysteries with Fukuzawa. By then, he had already adopted him. Official documentation, recording the day the wolf man took in a hardly alive orphan boy. It by all means made his life harder in every way it could, but his adoptive father claimed it made him happier too. Over time, Osamu took better care of himself, learned how to maintain a healthier mind and body, made friends, and started speaking regularly. The once stone cold voids turned into rosey warm rays. Seemingly overnight, if you ask Fukuzawa. The Armed Detective Agency was born when Osanu turned fourteen. The two wanted to do what they've been doing, but legally. Not out of respect for the law, but because getting locked up is pretty inconvenient when you're trying to solve crime cases. Not long after the ADA was founded, Osamu convinced Oda to leave the Port Mafia and join him in the Agency. The very Agency he stood in now.

Osamu looks at his reflection I'm the window, seeing the sweater that covers his scars, the bangs that covers the one that faded, and the jacket his parents left behind. The many physical reminders of his past. The time in his life he hasn't said a word of. Not to Fukuzawa, not to Oda, not to anyone. He plans to keep it that way.

Look i have so many au ideas that im not prepared to write but i think theyre cool so theyre going on here anyways heres one brief outline of a band au thats been floating around my head for the past few days:

-Dazai Osamu, lit major. He starts a band with his sister Yosano (pry the sibling dynamic from my cold dead hands i dare u). He's perfectionistic and controlling since this is his dream, and isn't ever happy with the suggestions that Yosano makes for members of the band. He's the lyricist of the band, and plays guitar and piano. He was a piano prodigy as a kid, being forced to compete by their foster father Mori when he was young, but always preferred guitar. He's the rhythm guitarist. He's obsessive over music and will neglect his own health over the band (he almost always is sleep deprived and has bandages over his hands from overplaying the piano and guitar until his fingers would bleed)

-Yosano Akiko, bio major, she helps Dazai start the band. She plays violin classically but was the one to teach Dazai guitar when they were kids since she rebelled against Mori. Now she plays bass guitar. She does vocals occasionally, depending on what Dazai's vision is with the lyrics.

-Atsushi Nakajima, a down on his luck 3rd year in high school who just got kicked out by his foster parents after he turned 18. He played guitar as a kid and is a prodigy. He met Dazai one night after he tried to kill himself bc college sucks, and Dazai sees his guitar case, since Atsushi was busking at the time to pay for a hotel room, and is asked to join the band. Atsushi agrees bc why not, and Dazai lets him move in with him since he doesn't live in dorms (him and Yosano have their own place) He's the lead guitarist in the band.

-Ranpo Edogawa, Yosano's best friend and a criminology major. He has nothing to do with the band, but he's their biggest supporter. He works at a cafe alongside Poe, where the band frequently plays since Ranpo convinced the owner (Fukuzawa) to let them play there.

-Akutagawa Ryuunosuke and Gin, high school students and friends of Atsushi. Atsushi recommends him to Dazai who begrudgingly lets them join the band (Gin is their sound tech, and Higuchi later joins to become their manager) They compete over who gets Dazai's validation since they both look up to him (which dazai is like literally why. you should not be doing that Yosano is gonna kill me) He plays bass alongside Yosano. (also side sskk bc slay)

-Kouyou Ozaki, sociology major, she meets Yosano at a party where she sings karaoke and Yosano decides that she wants Kouyou to be their vocalist. She initially refuses since she's busy with college stuff, but introduces Yosano to her friend Verlaine (a psychology major), who's adoptive brother Chuuya is a drummer, and is looking to join a band. Later they make a deal that if Yosano can convince Chuuya to join she will too. Which miraculously does happen. Kouyou is their main vocalist.

-Nakahara Chuuya, lit major. He plays drums and guitar. He used to be in a band in highschool that got fairly popular with his childhood friends called "The flags". The band split up when they all went to different colleges though. He is in Dazai's lit class and they have a rivalry. Yosano asks him to join the band and chuuya refuses bc he HATES DAZAI. They do not get on WHATSOEVER. But after a lot of bickering and fighting Dazai gives in and lets him join (he says its bc he wanted Kouyou on board, but doesnt mention how he saw Chuuya playing his songs solo at a open mic at a bar nearby and was mesmerized) They eventually become friends. Chuuya is their main drummer but helps with lyrics sometimes. (bc i need soukoku writing songs together pls)

-The two other main bands are the hunting dogs (consisting of Teruko, Jouno, tetchou and Tachihara, except Tachihara's brother is the leader instead of Fukuchi bc i actually dont care about him sorry), and the decay of angels (but its just the russians lmao its just sigma nikolai and fyodor and sigma is sick of their shit)

-Dazai knew of the flags before and liked their music but is unaware that Chuuya is the same person that was in the flags.

-He falls for chuuya first and hard. (also making dazai ace bc #slay ace world domination) and chuuya also likes dazai but is like unsure of whether its reciprocated, and since both are shit at feelings its just pain as everyone else has to watch them pine over each other for like months.

-Kousano bc slay band lesbians <3 Yosano is very vocal about her love for Kouyou and is constantly asking her on dates etc, even though Kouyou goes weeks thinking its a joke.

-Chuuya's first band wasn't the flags, but the sheep, which ended with the sheep stealing the songs chuuya wrote and claiming credit for them, after chucking him out of the band. He's still salty about it years later, especially when Yuan attempts to get in contact with him when Dazai's band starts playing venues and getting popular.

ok so I have Thoughts.

First of all, the anime going ahead of the manga I have seen before in other fandoms. Sometimes it meant that the plotline had been neatly wrapped up for the anime and the manga would diverge. Take that as you will

Fyodor is not dead. Come on. An arm? I’ve watched anime for too long to think he’s dead without a full body. Not to mention that an arm is particularly suspicious considering Gogol’s ability. Remember when he convincingly cut himself in half? He could very easily have transported Fyodor out of the helicopter and cut off his arm because he knew it’d convince Dazai

Speaking of Gogol, if Fyodor is dead I am robbed of seeing Gogol kill (or at least try to) Fyodor and that isn’t fair. To me.

Chuuya being a fake vampire? Checks out, sounds like some shit Mori would do. Sad we didn’t get to see him act directly in this episode but eh.

Chuuya’s teeth being glued in and him unable to get them out? I have literally had this exact experience trying to glue in vampire teeth for a Halloween costume once. I was picking glue out of my gums for a week it was awful

Tecchou and Kenji being alive? What I expected.

Jouno and Tachihara are still up in the air I guess

Poe’s book. Can it suspend death? Is Fukuzawa somehow not still bleeding out from being stabbed through the heart? Bsd hates medical science. Also does Poe’s book write stuff on command? I thought he had to deliberately write the story which would mean he was working with Fukuchi? I’m confused.

Ranpo being alive and healed? Makes sense but I wanted to see Yosano do it so I knew she was alive.

Akutagawa no longer being a vampire and being alive? THAT’S MY FUCKING BOY! Also his new medieval knight outfit is fucking brilliant and I want him to know it makes him look very sexy

Bram saving Aya. We all knew it but were glad to see it.

Bram having his whole body back when it got mentioned (at least in the manga) that he’d die if the sword was pulled out? I mean I support it but that feels like a plothole

Bram being Aya’s knight? Adorable, I want to see him adopt her. I want the adventures of the weirdly old adult who knows nothing of the modern world and the reckless kid with a good heart and an iphone

Whoever Atsushi and Aku are fighting? Unclear but it looks like it’s holding Fukuchi’s sword so maybe it’s the sword itself? He did say smtg about a legendary sword maker. I’d guess it was Crime and Punishment but it doesn’t look Russian enough

Fyodor’s Hebrew: excellent, we love to see it, last words of Jesus, that’s the good shit. Also irl Fyodor getting out of prison and living a better life vs bsd Fyodor getting out of prison and dying…idk where I was going with this anyway irony

Fukuchi’s plan. Naive at best but relatively good intentioned. I’m not ready to like him as a character and probably never will. Killing 500 people, how the hell could he keep it so precise? It’s also an interesting debate about the life of an individual vs the life of the collective, almost a trolley problem thing, curious to see how Fukuzawa decides about it

Fukuchi’s plan cont. changing reality with the book is the only way I can think of to make this plan even somewhat feasible. Without it the plan would collapse. Do you know how many wars would be fought just over who controlled One Order? Why can’t the original ability user use it? So many questions

One Order’s design: Soul-Eater-Kishin-ass-looking-thing

Can One Order even still control armies without them under control of the vampire ability? What about the seal on Fukuchi’s wrist that made him control Bram? The sword being coded to Fukuzawa’s voice? How???? There are so many questions around that alone

How does Bram undo the vampirism I want to see it?! Is Aku still injured when he is de-vamped?

Fukuchi said it was a U.N. ordinance about One Order. Is he aware not every country is in the U.N.? Also, if someone manages to launch and nuclear missile before One Order is activated it can’t exactly be deactivated. There are so many issues with this plan it’s like Thanos’

Anyways you know the drill, more ADA Chuuya brain rot

1) In case I didn't make it clear last time, Atsushi and Kyouka are absolutely adopted into the Nakahara family. Kenji is kinda adopted too, he's kinda like their cousin.

2) Dazai got really into finger weaving and sewing (cause he's gotta be able to do some of the chores, he can't cook, he'll set water on fire) and makes things for people.

3) Dazai and Chuuya are both emotionally constipated idiots, so they show affection through gifts: Dazai with plushies he claims he finds and Chuuya with food. Ryuunosuke and Gin have matching Umbreons: Ebony Darkness Dementia Raven Way and her boyfriend Draco Malfoy.

4) Fukuzawa knows that both Dazai and Chuuya are ex Port Mafia (as does Ranpo, bc of course) because they told him at the beginning. Because of that, they're often sent on the more legally grey missions, where they would have to skirt the law a lot.

5) Chuuya and Kunikida actually don't get along. Chuuya tends to puts his family and loyalty above his morality, and Kunikida usually puts his Ideals over everything else. (This causes a lot of problems when it's revealed that they were Soukoku)

6) In order to go undercover, Dazai got them new names... while drunk... so legally they are Dazai Chuuya and Nakahara Osamu. They joke that they're married (no one really wants to be the ones to tell them that it's not a joke anymore). Ango is slowly going insane.

7) Related to last post, Dazai doesn't like Mori, but understands he's good for the city in the long run and is willing to keep his grudge to petty annoyances. Chuuya will kill Mori on sight. Chuuya is not allowed at the treaty meeting (he does sulk about this).

8) Chuuya doesn't gain control of Corruption when he joins the ADA, but he extends the amount of time he can be in Corruption before he starts hurting himself. (He also didn't join the ADA at first because he was afraid of being backstabbed by another organization)

9) Finally, to leave off on a gut punch, Chuuya was the one to bury Oda :)

Bungo Stray Dogs Season 1 Anime Review

Does Include Spoilers....

Ok so I started watching Bungo Stray Dogs and like most I started because of Dazai. He was sexy and even with his wish for suicide he just got to me. Then I watched the first season and was so happy I did it pulled me in fast. Dazai quickly lost the main reason for the show for me it honestly became my favorite character in first season being Atsushi Nakajima. He had so much heart and compassion that the rest lost so long ago. He made me feel as he learned who he was and who he could help. I grew a strong liking to the character and even shipped him with Kyōka Izumi the way he saved her and even the fact he took her on a date they were just too adorable not to love. Ranpo Edogawa caught my interest mainly cause the voice actor Hiroshi Kamiya who played Baldr Hringhorni in Kamigami No Asobi. I was really surprised that Doppo Kunikida even grew on me and his comedian side to him of how he was with Dazai and always knocking the crap out of him but I could tell he was a good man. Anyways Kunikida's power is pretty cool "The Matchless Poet". I love how he can throw the cards out and whatever it is appears. I also think him and Dazai work so great together.

Now don't get me wrong Osamu Dazai is still a big part of the show and I found it funny how he was about the whole suicide with a beautiful woman. It left me wondering why he wanted to die so much but I know its shown as the seasons go on cause I started season 2 already and already starting to understand but I will leave that in season 2 review of it. So the relationship between Jun'ichirō Tanizaki & Naomi Tanizaki was so weird at first but fuck it I didn't even care they were siblings because not only do you easily forget but they don't look alike at all I feel like maybe there is like an adoption kinda story to them maybe. Anyways you know early on their is not only a relationship with them but its also sexual. However when she almost gets killed the way he responds to losing her and later as well he doesn't get even as a brother he gets even as a lover so I'm gonna treat them just as that fuck it, its not like sibling loves bother me much in anime/otome world. Plus not gonna lie Jun'ichiro his power "Light Snow" is pretty damn neat.

Yukichi Fukuzawa seems like a stickler in the beginning but you find he truly believes in his team and he grew on me. I felt like he cares about each and everyone of them and will fight for them at any cost. He is practically Daddy to them all and I think they would fall apart sometimes if he wasn't the lead of it all. Chūya Nakahara seems to be a cool character but of course I feel like he isn't really a main in the first season however I find him actually pretty attractive as well but I swear its how he dresses more than anything its so damn sharp looking. He gives me that true mafia/yakuza feel to how he looks and dresses. He seems to have anger issues but I love his banter between him and Dazai however I don't see this romance so many want and like. I will pass for now both men are hot and I would gladly be in between these men could make a very interesting smut story thats for sure... lol.

Michizō Tachihara seems like a crazy fuck but still pretty cool character so far based on the first season at least, look forward to seeing him more later he has my attention at least. Even though Ryūnosuke Akutagawa is an asshole in the first season he has one of the coolest powers by far his Rashōmon power like a dragon like creature that he can cut people down easily with. I feel bad for Ichiyō Higuchi because you find fast she is so damn in love with that man and he treats her like pure crap however doesn't stop her from taking on the enemies to bring him back when he is captured. The one sentimental moment where he grabs her hand after she saves him I really wanted after he told her he was sorry I wanted her to tell him she loved him I wonder if it would have changed. I feel like his issue is he doesn't even see her following to him is because she loves him. However its a very toxic relationship at least first season, I just hope it gets better because I think they would be good together plus bad guy or not he is fuckin hot too. Speaking of Ichiyō Higuchi honestly girl has some balls and she will do anything even die for that man I can respect her because she probably could have gotten out from what you get from her but she refuses to leave his side. Gin Akutagawa I still don't know much about him but still seems mysterious and attractive cause of that.

After breaking down the people that all made it interesting for me, yes I know there is more these just happen to be my list of favorites. Still amazes me a show with alot of hot bad guys kinda reminds me of Piofiore in that sense. Anyways I feel like it brings a decent amount of action however every part doesn't have to have it which I really like since I normally don't watch ones that are too heavy on it. I love Dazai's power and how he can hush any of the others with his power practically neutralizing even some of the worst bad guys. I still don't see anyone being gay and I will stand by that and I'm ok because seriously too many hot guys for me to even think about them together I would rather think about them being straight makes it easier to fantasize about them then. Overall I would gladly recommend this to anyone whether your into otome and shoujo the most I think you could still like this if nothing but the comedy side of things. I look forward to the next upcoming seasons as I catch up I will write my review on each season.
