The outline of a heart is pressed into the bread of your sandwich, cookies iced with various Valentine’s Day colours are your small dessert, the strawberries off to the side are each cut into heart shapes, and even your coffee is topped with foam in a hearts pattern - Gummy, who was the head of the cafeteria kitchen today, had outdone herself this time. Your smile returns to your face once more. The assortment of food reminds you a little of a certain Sarva; you silently hoped he came by to have lunch at Rhodes Island so he could see the cute lunches for himself.

You begin to eat, finally - however, when you pick up your sandwich you reveal a few small sheets of note paper. Your brow lifts and you put your food down in order to investigate. The papers are stapled-together, clearly torn from a notepad, and the first one acts as a cover with hearts drawn all over the page. Unsurprisingly, you’re a little baffled - but as soon as you flip past the first sheet of the small stack your confusion goes away. Instead, your eyes soften with warmth as they lay upon rows of ever-recognizable scribbly hand printing.

Here, this little guy is for you.” Taking a moment to pull back from you slightly, he takes from one of his pockets a colourful slip of paper that he places in your palm; the Sarva practically beams while he explains, “I got us tickets into the concert happening at the stadium soon! The music big shots, Alive After Sunset and D.D.D are gonna be there, I’m guessing they’re gonna be singing love songs and whatnot since it’s Valentine’s Day.”

You watch Ethan with affection emanating from you - his hand finds yours absentmindedly, and as his eyes twinkle, he goes on talking, “When I saw the poster for the concert while out on a stroll, well, I knew I needed to buy tickets and take you, baby.” You’re quiet as he continues, “We should try to see if we can get backstage. That’s where all the cool stuff always happens, right? Maybe we’ll get to meet one of the music artists or grab some matching merch for us!” Still, you say nothing, however you fail you suppress the grin growing on your lips, “Oh, I didn't check if there was gonna be food though, maybe if I use my sneaky power I can go get us some snacks before the concert starts-” “Ethan.”

The Sarva perks up at your curt, but before he can ask anything you’ve already taken his face in your hands. When Ethan meets your gaze - filled with so much love and adornment - his face softens and he leans into your touch, “Yeah, [name]?”

Whenever there is a fight at the local gym, you would tag along with your brothers. Growing up with three older brothers, you're use to the brawling and roughhousing. You watched a lot of pro wrestling alongside your Saturday morning cartoons and have been on the end of many wrestling moves. As you grew older and stronger, you were able to dole back the same energy, putting them into headlocks. You even once put one of your brothers in a figure four leg lock and made him tap. You were very proud of that moment.

However, there is honestly only one reason you go to these live fights: Ben Miller. The first time you noticed him was actually at your first live MMA event. "Walk" by Pantera was blasting while he came walking out tall with his head up high and so confident. The crowd went wild as he made his way to the eight-sided cage with a small entourage behind him hyping him up. He was wearing a black t-shirt and red shorts with matching red and black gloves. He must be who the crowd is rooting for and you can see why.

His brown hair was parted somewhere between the middle and the side. The hair in the front framed his forehead. You were too far away to see the color of his eyes, but you were close enough to see that he was completely focused and ready to throw hands.

You watched him and his opponent take their shirts off and warm themselves up, waiting for the bell to ring to signal the start of the first round while the ring girl strutted around the cage holding a card up high. Right as him and his opponent touch gloves, the bell goes off and he immediately gets hit with a cross to the face. That’s okay though because Ben seemed completely unaffected by it. He fought back and defended himself with ease. He took a few punches and struggled when he got knocked to the ground, but he was able to recover and get back on his feet. You can clearly see his ground game is a weakness for him. You notice a man in a black hoodie and short blonde hair coaching him. You don’t know if he’s his trainer or what, but they look like they could be related.

The fight lasted all three rounds and Ben took a beating for sure. There’s a cut on his forehead and his lip. There is sweat and blood all over his face, but he was declared the winner after he knocked his opponent out. The crowd went crazy again when the referee raised his arm. Ben celebrated his victory with a loud roar while running around the cage. The blonde-haired man and the rest of his entourage went inside and celebrated with him, hugging him, and patting him on the back.

Since then, you would go see him every time you saw him name on the card.

The soft Ethan fic is something that I abandoned months ago but honestly going through the document is making me want to write it again.

Out of all the places in the hospital, Meera had never thought to find her boyfriend here.Meera stood by the door frame of the colourful, cartoon-painted, pediatrics ward cabin, where there were half a dozen tiny humans in tiny patient beds.

Ethan most definitely seemed out of place, his old man clothes and dark heavy colour didn't match the joyful children's aesthetic at all. At first Meera thought of going up to him but seeing him with a child overwhelmed her heart and she preferred savouring the moment for as long as she could.

Ethan stood by a patient's bed, his back towards Meera. The patient, being no older than a year, looked into his blue eyes with such amazement that it melted his heart. Ethan picked her up with his strong arms, cradling her in his arms.

Meera smiled wistfully, oh what a beautiful dream but was this dream ever achievable? The logical side of her brain spoke up, "oh come on Meera, he asked you to get some groceries. Not that he is going to get on his knees tomorrow."

Shaking the thoughts from her head, Meera got up. She changed into a yellow summer dress, put her hair into a mermaid braid, got the list that was stuck to the fridge by a magnet, put a leash on Jenner and walked out of the apartment.

She knew the dreams she saw were not "in the cards" for Ethan, but she didn't want to stop dreaming. She didn't stop dreaming when people all around her told her she would never be able to put Dr. in front of her name. She won't stop dreaming now, and while she is at it she will cross her fingers and wish that Ethan has fallen in love with her just as much as she has fallen with him. Enough to make him want the same thing she does, enough to make him want to wake up and go to bed with her for a lifetime.
