I had a tiring day at work so I sort of shoveled dinner in my mouth and stared into the corner of my living room for a bit until I realized I needed to still make a drawing appear out of thin air. Soooo I told myself: “30 minutes - that’s all you get, Bosh.”

I will complete this either tomorrow or Saturday but at least I drew a smidgen~

This has been sitting in my ask box for months, because I am awful at drawing interiors and don't have a whole lot of time on my hands, so I had no real intentions of following up with this

But then I went and built them a cottage in The Sims just for fun, and I might as well share that! I'm still on and off fiddling with it as a perpetual work in progress.

The bedroom, based on that one thing I drew:

I also built this room with an attached sitting and bath area:

An office with pretty yellow walls and a nook perfect for napping:

Parlor, dining room, and kitchen (there were plants on the kitchen counters but the game kept deleting them):

A mildly cursed concrete basement:

And of course, a greenhouse and duck pond:

Back and side yard, with plenty of garden beds and flower pots! Also chickens. (There's also an orchard to the side but I haven't bothered making it look nice)

Some miscellaneous spaces: stair landings & attic (with a spare room).

Could use more clutter and plants and decorations in places, but placing clutter is kind of a pain and the game keeps deleting my stuff :')

Anyway that's the cottage!

I think I now get what I was missing in Enlightened Terminally Online Leftist Discourse, with help from this post. (I'm leaving out a good bit in the chain about American education because that part's really not my problem, but it is interesting)

People have decided their politics are an identity and not an ideology. That's why they think antisemitism is just opt-in! If they don't identify as antisemitic, if they don't look at their arm and see a red band with a swastika on it, then they can't be The Bad Guys. They're safe! The reason a lot of Jews don't talk to them anymore is irrelevant, and I bet those guys are (again! as an identity that defines who they are as a person, in every facet!) Zionists anyway so who cares. There's no reason to talk to them, or regard them as human, they aren't Part Of Us, The Good Guys. While there, why ever study what Zionism is or what it means to Jews? You don't need to do any research, just sharing emotional social media posts that tell you what to feel and conform with your Good Identity is good enough. Those guys definitely know what's up. If they tell you someone is Necessarily Bad, that's just the way it is - and it conforms with your identity so it feels good.

If Jewish concerns are only because of The Bad Guys - (Only ever The Dastardly White Supremacists, nobody else, right?) Then surely you, certified Good Person that you are, have no obligation to care about them more than anything else. Just punch Nazis and move on, right? It's all good! And listen to marginalized people. As long as their opinions conform with your identity. Otherwise they must be... not marginalized, actually. Not worthy of protection, actually.

And again, and I can't stress this enough, people legitimately think antisemitism and pervasive anti-Jewish sentiment, well-hidden behind popular causes, started and stopped with the holocaust. It happened once, it basically happened for no reason, and it was done solely by Bad Guys holding The Bad Opinions. You, since you don't identify as bad, can't be part of the same problem. Surely people will know that? That you're necessarily good, that their worries are unfounded? The Jews in your life and your circles definitely know you mean fascism specifically when you talk about Zionism... right? The decades of popular and arbitrary use of "Zionist" as a a more publicly acceptable replacement for "Jew I want to die but be righteous about it" don't factor in... right? A social media post told me it's fine. Or someone who says they're a Jew says it's fine. So my identity is secure, surely.

The fact you identify as anti-racist and antifascist is well and good. It is! But unlike other identities, where deciding to identify as such is the only validation required - this one requires actual work. Listening to other humans, even if you decided they don't share your identity, should not be difficult to you. If your reaction to Jews celebrating their cool holiday that has doughnuts and candles and songs, or how unsafe they feel right now, is to immediately talk about how Some Jews Are Good But Some Are Bad And We Must Always Watch Out And Exclude And Condemn The Bad Ones (they hide in plain sight don't you know), you aren't actually furthering any agenda - except, you know, the anti-Jewish agenda. You aren't gaining allies or changing anyone's mind for the better. It doesn't matter if this doesn't conform with your identity! You might still do it anyway! Anybody can!

And it will be with the best of intentions. That's how it works.

My heart breaks thinking of the next c&f one shot.. i feel it won’t be in jk’s character to just provide for the child and leave him, he will form a relationship with him because he’s his son!! And he wouldn’t want that kid to grow up without a father too, like him. So it’ll be tricky to navigate it knowing the love of his freaking !!! Life is caught in the middle of this all 😭😭

it is indeed!! :( it's a tough situation to handle bc you're so right. he can't send them away without immediately being plagued by his own issues of growing up without a dad. and at the same time, hurting oc is equal to a sin to him.. whatever might he do about such a dilemma 😭

If you know, you know. This song had me heaving with sobs in All of Us Strangers. If you haven't watched that movie, please do because it's one of the most beautiful movies I've ever watched in my life. The tenderness in the scene this plays in will stay with me forever. (Okay, I've never actually watched the music video to this so I'm seeing it for the first time and...I didn't expect that.)

Obsessed, obsessed, obsessed. You can hear the desperation, the heartbreak, the pleading, the anger in the track like Lestat is speaking to you without using any words. Do you know how hard that is to accomplish? It sounds like actual dialogue. Haunting and tragic.

It was either this or "Ruin" by Usher & Pheelz, but I didn't want to put two Usher tracks so it's this one because I've lost count how many times I watched this music video. The funkiness. The clean dancing. The footwork! I nearly leapt off my chair to give a standing ovation when I first watched this (I think I did end up shouting when Usher showed up lol). And this is an example of a feature/collab done well. I don't follow BTS, but I'm aware Jungkook is an excellent dancer and this is a fantastic song to show that off.

Lmao...I have to put this here. 1. This is the year of the hater, 2. I'm always here for Drake hate, and 3. Nothing like Kendrick hibernating and then showing up with a nuke. And I just love listening to him. He could read a grocery list and I'd be screaming and clapping.

Because it's summer and this is exactly the vibe I want from a summer bop and the music video is sooooooo good. Love my black widows, my femme fatales. Love Sunmi as an artist. I make sure to watch her music videos whenever she comes out with a new song because I know it'll be something unexpected, intriguing, and offbeat.
