hello gravity falls fandom i am going insane and putting everyone into monsterfalls. i cannot be stopped. i’m on mobile so i can only post 10 at a time but here’s the first 10 + explanations :3

mermaid mabel is cool and all but i think she should be Weirder. also the idea of her not being able to frolic makes me sad. so she’s a wolpertinger now

i like cervitaur dipper he can stay. gave him a lil saddlebag for the extra pocket space & turned the spots on his back into more constellations :3

tbh my justification for this one is mostly just that i think it’s funny but. fur bearing trout wendy. they come from lumberjack lore so it’s at least kind of on theme

I love Monster Falls so much. Like just from a fun fluffy perspective (stay tuned for the body-horror sequel to this post)

Like imagine Boss Mabel but Monster Falls. Stan pretends like he's turning to stone and the execs look at him and go "he's a gargoyle playing it up. We'll take him." Dipper nearly kicks a person because they call his "cervitaur outfit" fake looking and say his hooves are super fake. Mabel comes in and, depending on whether she's a unicorn centaur or a mermaid, she either trots over and uses her horn to light up a hole he kicked in the drywall earlier or flicks water on his fur because "Dipper, you can't keep threatening to kick people! Your hooves hurt." Wendy is mostly the same honestly and Soos keeps dropping his hands in stuff.

Imagine what the background characters would go through for that. You walk into a store and the cashier - who isn't paying attention - is oddly hairy but whatever, you don't judge. The handyman looks pretty sickly and you could swear that his hand is backwards but he walks away pretty fast. You into the back and this kid trots up - and yes, we do mean trot because he's got a fucking deer for the bottom half of his body. He's also got little baby antlers and freckles all over his body and he can't be a real cervitaur so you tell him that his outfit looks fake and he goes "I just wrestled a Gremloblin with four legs and you're gonna tell me this is fake?" and then another kid walks in, and she's a unicorn centaur with flowers all over the place falling out of her tail or her hair. She's got a horn on her forehead and you can see where it starts around her bangs and she goes "Dipper, stop antagonizing the guests! We've gotta show Grunkle Stan that we can do this." And he chuffs like a horse and she goes "Don't you chuff at me, mister. Do your job." and then walks away.

Imagine going to a pool and watching a unicorn centaur wading into the pool, shivering as her fur gets soaked. There's a gargoyle in pool jail and a zombie is messing with the pool floaties. Or you go to Gideon's Tent of Telepathy and the seat in front of you is wet and there's a mermaid pulling herself onto the back of a cervitaur or being carried by a gargoyle man.

Like it's so cute and there's so many cute small little things you can do with it. Like I love it. Dipper wincing in Not What He Seems because his deer back gets pressed against the wall weirdly when the portal's about to open. Mabel in Sock Opera having Dipper put her on a cart because she doesn't have legs. Soos accidentally dropping body parts or slipping up and nibbling someone. Wendy taking a few days off every once in a while because she's a literal werewolf. Ford flying off as soon as he leaves the Shack and forgetting everyone else has legs (except maybe Mabel depending on your preference). Stan hitting stuff with his wings and doing makeup to look human still.

Actually we need more Monster Falls fanfic and I've been debating writing some.

Several have asked, so here ya go, the only three Monster AU drawings I've done so far and headcannons to go with them.

- Riddle is a Unicorn Centaur and is very proud about this fact. His mother and father were both Unicorn Centaurs as well and they both put great pressure on Riddle to uphold traditional Unicorn values. One of these values being an extreme focus on purity and maintaining a certain level of purity, so Riddle is very keen to keep his white fur clean and often wears hoof-shoes to keep dirt out of his hooves.

- Riddle wears leg-warmers because he actually does get cold rather easily due to his lighter musculature. Sometimes, on colder days, Riddle will even wear a blanket wrapped around his equine half and will even use fire magic to keep himself warm.

- Riddle can't swim very well, especially in comparison to Trey and Cater. He is EXTREMELY sensitive about this fact. Cater often tries to get Riddle to swim in the Heartslabyul lake but Riddle refuses. Any attempt to force Riddle to swim will result in a swift Off With Your Head.

- Riddle will only allow his darling to touch his horn as Unicorn horns can be very brittle and sensitive, so only someone he deeply trusts is allowed to lay hands on it. Due to Unicorn horns being so full of magic, if he ever does break or chip his horn, he will gift the pieces to his beloved as a sign of ultimate trust. He trusts his darling won't sell the pieces and will treasure them.

- Silver carries a blanket around at all times for whenever he or those he cares about need rest. Sebek is the only one of the Diasomnia four that refuses to use Silver's blanket. Silver uses the blanket the most, followed by the more nocturnal Lilia, and even Malleus has used Silver's blanket for a quick nap.

- Silver can be, and has already been, tethered to a carriage before and is quite efficient at hauling things around as needed. Because he can traverse snowy terrain and can adapt to different inclines effectively, he is typically the first to offer to carry things and people around. Someone can tell they are Silver's friend if he offers to carry them around campus.

- Silver is allowed in Malleus' nest but will only enter of his own free will if Malleus directly asks him to. As the nest is big enough to hold Malleus in his full draconic form, it can easily hold Silver, Lilia, Sebek, Malleus, and a few others comfortably before it starts to get crowded. Malleus sees Silver as one of his Hoard and will track Silver down if he hasn't heard from the Cervitaur in several hours.

- If Silver feels like his beloved is in danger, he will not hesitate to pull them up on his back and flee with them to somewhere safer. Only when he is sure they are safe will Silver allow them to get off of his back. Silver has considered getting a saddle made for himself so he can carry his beloved comfortably.

- Grim has had a rough and lonely life so far. He longs for the feeling of a warm home and a comfortable place to sleep, safe from the many dangers the world has to offer. True peace- for Grim- is a warm home, warm bed, and someone who cares about him in a way no others have in the past; like family. As far as Grim knows, he has always been alone and the actual monsters of TWST were keen to remind him the world is not a safe place.

- Grim was able to fly with his wings once upon a time before another monster managed to sneak up on him while he was sleeping. He can no longer use his wings to fly, but will often still flap them from time to time to see if he might have gotten the ability of flight back despite the state of his wings.

- His right eye was damaged in a fight over scraps of food with another smaller monster of the forest. It is harder for him to see out of his right eye due to the scarring around the eyelid and he is sensitive about others teasing him for his scars. Each scar is a time Grim almost lost his life to another monster, and Grim has plenty of scars to remember the hard learned lessons life has thrown at him.

- Grim longs for the domestic feeling of having family and will cling to his Human as they are the only family he has. He will never admit to it- as weakness gets you killed in the wild- but true happiness is when he can snuggle into the soft tummy of his Human and nap knowing that he will wake up somewhere warm, comfortable, and with trusted friends nearby instead of waking up cold, alone, and afraid as he did for so long prior to his Human. His Human is his family and he will never willingly give up his family for anything, even all the Tuna in the world.

Monster Falls Sketches with my explanations below

Dipper is a Cervitaur! This is generally considered widely across the fandom. I thought it fit, especially with the way that a Stags Antlers being big is a show of strength, and the way Dipper is with his own masculinity. The one frame in the Manataur episode with him next to a buck felt so right.

Mabel is a Sphinx! I've seen different iterations where she's a mermaid, or sometimes a unicorn centaur to match dipper, and even the one where she's a gargoyle to match Stan. I made her a Sphinx, to match Ford. Her wings are colorful, to match her personality.

Stan is a Manticore! Across the fandom its widely accepted that in this AU that Stan is a gargoyle, but this is now my au and I make the rules. I made him a manticore because 1) The Lion Traits, matching Ford. But also 2) I wanted something that COULD be considered as evil but really isnt! Also the idea of a bipedal Manticore Stan and his quadrupedal Brother was funny. Also he has leather wings while Ford has feathered wings, once again showing their differences

Ford is a Sphinx! I have no explanations, I loved that everyone thought he was a sphinx. The colorful wings fit with how he feels about his hands, something he can't hide. I would imagine he keeps his wings tucked closely to his body

How do you feel about CoD boys in a monster au? Whether they’re the monster or their s/o is the monster, I just think it would be neat. I’m partial towards werewolves but honestly I love anything that goes bump in the night. I LOVE the idea of a monster being afraid of hurting their partner but their partner knows that they could never hurt them. If you’re open to monster requests, I have so many ideas. Just… monsters, man

I absolutely love monster AUs, one of my faves is @/bluegiragi's and I'm sure you all know that iconic one. I'm totally open to monster/hybrid requests, and a detailed list of what other things I write can be found in the cafe's Customer Service Policy aka rules :]

And monster-related plots? I'm a sucker for that shit, need more of that and monster!reader.

If I were to make a Monster Hybrid AU with my own specific ideas though, hmm...

Powerful and stoic, Price would make a great minotaur (lower half of a bull). Sure, maybe his back isn't what it used to be, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have the strength to send you back to your maker. Every step he takes on base acknowledges his presence, a posture that demands respect from its witnesses. The horns on his head aren't something to mess with either, though it takes him ages to scrape out the dried blood from the cracks and tailor his bucket hats.

On the other hand, the canine hybrid for Soap is oddly charming. Similarly to a werewolf, he would have the senses of one, but as a just hybrid, he's unable to fully transform. Instead, he's equipped with features like ears, tail, fangs, some fur on his arms and legs, and a longer tongue. I can see him being a border collie, the Scottish sheepdog just makes sense. But a kelpie/merfolk would also work with his callsign. Soap, a mischievous water spirit known for "cleaning out" rooms of enemies? A body with slick scales, gills, and a frilled mohawk when in monster form? Yeah, I can definitely see that.

For someone with a Queen's honor, a phoenix feels right for Gaz. Bright and burning wings and tail—a light that feels regal and elegant, yet so youthful and lively at the same time. With him in the sky, you're guaranteed to be safe under his watch. Or maybe a cervitaur with those doe eyes of his, gorgeous as ever. Yet equipped with a kick that's sure to shatter the ribs of those who mock him for being just a faun with a pretty face.

Undeniably, with such a specific callsign, Ghost can't be anything other than a wraith. Maybe mix in a bit of demonic blood, soul-eater tendencies, or even marks of an incubus for a little extra kick. His scars look more like shadowy cracks in his skin, smoke pours from the concerningly realistic skull he wears, he looks more like a reaper than a spirit. Regardless, this man is a shadowy phantom that provokes the fear of gods in whoever he sets his target as.

Roach, sure maybe his energy is fitting of a satyr or something more fitting and urban for our token American, like a roach version of Mothman. Bug wings and scales similar to the structure of an exoskeleton, But Roach came to be for being nearly indestructible, like the bug. In fact, it would be more accurate to call Roach, Roaches, as a bogeyman with a human body that can crumble into a swarm of those insects would explain why gunshots and explosions can hardly stop him.

Like Ghost, we can't deny who Hound is, either. Werewolf. Anything less would be criminal. For fun, mix it in with a bit of hellhound hybrid biology, so that he has to either go as a full hellhound or a human with hellhound features. Eyes that burn like Tartarus and a fanged snarl that even Cerberus would shudder at. Maybe even make him in charge of a hellhound K-9 unit, forced to face the very thing he fears.

As for the Reader? Well, that's up to you. Personally, I'm a little fond of shapeshifters. Might need to draw some of these ideas sometime...

Ah well, just some thoughts I had. Any other spitballs you guys have?

okay so fantasy au 😭 i needed to ramble

Mrs Curtis was a nymph. Shes kinda like the nymphs in percy jackson, her skin is leaf green (maybe changes colors in the autumn?) and her hair is this sunstricken golden color and she ofc has leaves in it almost always. I also like lowkey wanna say that she has a tail with leaves at the end too-she loved to make flower crowns and maybe she even photosynthesizes? Who knows! I need to draw this concept out

Mr Curtis was a gargoyle. He’s REALLY terrifying looking but once you actually get to know him he’s a huge goofball. He used to pull faces and stuff to make his sons laugh. He had huge bat like wings and a long spiked tail-he had talons too and his eyes would glow bright yellow when he was mad-like ONLY yellow. The pupils and irises were GONE. He taught Darry how to fly!

Onto Darry-he’s a gryphon/human mix? Kinda? Like a centaur but the lower half is a fire gryphon. He was born normal size but VERY quickly grew and ended up being gryphon sized (Like…50+ft in size, gryphons are BIG) and dude couldn’t fit in the house anymore by the time he was like thirteen :( But he’s a fire gryphon so cold doesn’t bother him much. But his wings are kinda flame colored? He has a mane of harness fire around his neck too and the tip of his lion tail is a flame ofc-when he’s mad though the fire flares up and can become harmful. He still roofs houses but he has to be awful careful with his size, though he also gets paid to clear out areas because he’s so big so he can easily sweep stuff. He’s harmless tho, just a big birb/lion boi

Soda is a centaur-his lower half is a palomino colt and his upper half is human obviously. He REALLY likes having his mane and tail played with and sometimes will just flick his brothers with his tail until they give him attention lmao-he is NOT quiet either like you can hear this boy galloping from a mile away. He’s also a big fan of having his tail braided and sometimes will braid it before. work to make sure oil doesn’t get on it. He’s very prideful of his coat though and likes when people give him attention for how shiny his coat is-He hates cleaning his hooves though because it’s hard to do :( Sometimes he’ll nestle into Darry’s wings after a hard day too :(

Pony is a cervitaur ofc-his lower half is a fallow deer (maybe an axis deer…) but this boy is SO prideful of his antler nubs and styles his hair purposefully to make sure there showing at all times. When his antlers actually start growing though he’s really happy except for when leaves and flowers get stuck in ‘em-but this boy is FAST-like 50mph fast. He could outrun Soda any day (I know horses are faster shhh) but he’s so fun. His coat is also super fluffy…his hair is too thanks to being half deer. He definitely sneaks into orchards to steal their food tho and Darry gives him an earful. Something I’m considering is having one of each curtis brother be in control of some element considering their mom was a nymph…Darry’s fire but I have to decide on the others…maybe Soda’s water and Pony’s earth? Idk)

I’m still deciding what I wanna do for Johnny…I’m thinking kraken or something of that nature? But like he can live on land? Idk what I wanna do for him, I wanna have him be opposite to Dally but I dunno how a kraken would fit into Tulsa…Just a big ol water creature…I’ll probably create my own creature thing for him LMAO

Dally’s a dragon. No doubt. He has a dragon form and a semi human “disguise” of sorts…like he has dragon ears, dragon wings and a dragon tail and he has some splotches of scales along his body but his full dragon form is a sight to behold. He’s about Darry’s size in full dragon form and him and Darry have definitely gotten into some •Godzilla vs Kong” esque fights because Dally kept trying to burn down the jail and Darry had to stop him…Johnny was watching (he’s about the same size as Darry too) and he’s just frantically trying to put all the fires out while yelling at adam LMAO-but this boy is so unruly sometimes…also horns. His horns are sharp as a blade (play it cool little brother…sorry-) and he’s not afraid to use them

Two Bit is definitely an imp to me. He likes to try and pull pranks on the Socs a lot-he’s kinda like an evil looking satyr…like he has little goat hooves and he even has a pitchfork but he’s really not and. He’s just a funny guy who wants to scare people sometimes. He’s a bit smaller than average (like…5’6’’) but he’s still trying to be scary. He has bat wings too and flares then when he’s all angry and tries to make himself look bigger but he just cannot-

Steve’s a werewolf. I don’t have much on him whether :(

I’m debating on keeping the Socs human or making them mythical beings too…I have ideas for Marcia and Cherry and even some of the musical Socs so we’ll see

Actually some changes and additions XD

So Alastor is a cervitaur whose father abandoned him and mother was killed by human hunters when he was a late teenager/fresh adult. He turns to dark magic through murder and cannibalism, changing his ability to connect with nature to twist and force it, becoming a somewhat necromancer.

Lucifer is not just naga. But in a way a basilisk. In this version he is basically like naga but with wings <3 He has his fire breath and venom and death/stone glare.

I like to think they meet each other when they were young, Alastor didn't turn fully to darkness(still a sadistic sweet little child) while Lucifer's small(rare) family settles nearby the Enchanted Forest, still not having his wings out <3

What would the hels be for each member of the soup group, and what part of the original players do they represent?

I remember we know Pearl's already, but I forgot her name and what trait she is. I think it was something about 5 am Pearl with less chill?

Impulse.. I don't think we've met his yet? My guess just knowing Impulse probably has something to do with pettiness and also untrustworthiness (3rd life)?

And Gem! This is who I was really asking about but I decided to add the rest of the soup group in because why not :) My guess is that it has something relating to Geminislay? I would also assume based on 4+ years of watching her that her hels counterpart would likely being very sarcastic and have very dry humour. Like the rare times Gem pulls the sassy card are always hilarious and I think that hels!Gem should get to speak like that all the time :)

Also would you be okay with me taking this au/universe and writing some of my own stuff using different characters? As of right now I don't think I'll actually post it anywhere, but I have a lot of silly ideas mainly regarding the soup group and empires crew, but since this is you and Lunar's au I wanted to ask first before actually going anywhere with them <3

oooooo ok so first off, absolutely. while i’ve done a lot of worldbuilding for the HTP au, i def don’t own the concept of hels or helsmits- that was a gift bestowed to the fandom by welsknight and my interpretations are just one of many. all i can claim to really own are my original versions of the helsmits, who again, are one of many, and my storyline. so i’ve got no prob w you doing your own thing, and if i did, that’d be pretty unreasonable of me imo.

BUT YES, soup group. so we’ve actually met both pearl and impulse’s hels so far in ‘from eden,’ though only very very briefly. pearl’s hels is opalescentmoth, a giant monstrous moth hybrid who lives in a cave and eats players that come across her. she’s huge and has big fuzzy wings and antennae and multiple arms and massive compound eyes. her defining traits would be unhinged-ness (??? however you’d say it) and silliness. so yup, basically 5 am pearl all the time, but now she’s a man-eating monster.

impulse’s hels was introduced more subtly via a chat convo as instinctEV, atlas’s rival in the redstone business. he’s a demon like impulse is in this au, but with all his demon attributes cranked up to 11. big scary boi. horns, fangs, glowing eyes, forked tongue, forked tail, maybe even some kinda freaky demon legs, the works. but one of instinct’s defining traits is insincerity, so he sorta throws ppl off with his supposedly kind demeanor. in reality he’s more preoccupied with his other defining trait, hyper-efficiency, and only cares about other players so long as he can use them.

now, neither gem nor her hels have showed up in the au so far and probably never will. i do have a vague concept for her tho. i’ve always pictured gem as some variation of deer hybrid, whether it’s just an elf with antlers, a faun, or full-on cervitaur. so her hels is capricornslay, a unicorn hybrid (yes i know the actual capricorn sign is a goat, don’t come for me). i haven’t nailed down her traits, mind you, just the Aesthetic. she’s a centaur with a horn, and she’s like the old-fashioned unicorns on medieval tapestries and the side of vans, all delicate with the cloven hooves and lion-like tail. big ‘the last unicorn’ vibes. but her deceptive beauty and gentleness belies a hidden viciousness. she portrays the dark side of the forest, like that creepy old bog and mossy decay vibe, while gem portrays the light side of the forest, the cheer and vibrancy and life. cottagecore and dark cottagecore, u know the vibes.

Update on the mythological furyjack AU:

Furiosa is an Avian Pantherataue, basically a centaur with a panther’s body and a set of primary wings attached to her panther shoulders and a set of secondary wings attached to her human shoulders. The secondary pair of wings is more for steering and making sharp turns.

Jack is a cervitaur, which means a deer centaur, more specifically an Elkotaur, a centaur with the body, antlers, and hooves of an elk, a lion’s tail, and spurs on the back of each hock.

just a few monster falls thoughts because i was thinking about it earlier (specifically about the stan twins because the extent of my thoughts about the monster! mystery twins is essentially ‘cervitaur dipper > faun dipper’ and ‘siren mabel > merfolk mabel, but only when the singing ability is changed significantly’)

no art because i can’t do that right now. normally i would at least try but auggggh this has not been my day

anyway! here’s my version of monster falls, i suppose

first thing! both stan twins are significantly taller than they are in canon, but only because they have an extra ‘ribcage’ under their human ones that their wings connect to. having a pair of wings strapped to a human’s shoulders (or around that area) would decrease mobility in the arms quite a bit so. second nebulous structure beneath the human ribcage to affix the wings to. it’s not a perfect (or even really that good) alternative, but i think it’s kind of interesting, so it stuck!

(this also means that the monster! stan twins have significantly increased back pain, as a result of the elongated spine (soos helps modify couches and beds for them))

they both hunt, ford for probably obvious reasons (he is big cat) and stan for less obvious reasons that i’ll explain here

ford takes after an owl (specifically, i associate him with barn owls, great horned owls, and snowy owls so. imagine a mix of all three). he is a silent flyer and really likes hunting perytons

stan takes much more after a bat. in the actual monster falls, he just happens to have bat-like wings because. gargoyle. i wanted to lean into that aspect more, though, so! he can echolocate now (helpful with the cataracts and whatever else may be going on there! not so helpful when he has no idea how to avoid jamming) and he takes after water bats

Did more drawings for the AU!! I love them sm (please notice who my favourite is, but I had his design down for ages) I can't wait to show y'all more about it!!

1. A concept for Four--he is a chimera, which means a creature made up of two or more other creatures. In this case, I tried to impliment parts from what I had for the colours. Deer legs for Red (satyr) as well as the antennae, the wings for Green, Selkie skin for Blue and general colourisation for Vio (his tail under the selkie skin is, in fact, a were's tail). Its a concept, but I do like how it looks

2. Selkies are rarely in a between form! They're either people, or seals. So imagining Blue donning the skin legit just to get into the fish is really funny to me bless

3. Hyrule is a cervitaur (deer centaur) he typically has horns but its winter so he gets a pass. Blue sometimes likes to half wear his lil seal coat. Ignore diluc's balls

Hello Tumblr

Mabel suggested I do this tumblr thing, so here we go.

I'm Dipper Pines. I live in Gravity Falls with my twin sister, Mabel, and my Grunkles Stan and Ford. A few weeks ago, there was an... incident with some magic stuff and now we're all monsters. I'm a cervitaur, Mabel is a unicorn centaur, Grunkle Stan is a gargoyle and Grunkle Ford is half griffin. (I think. He has big wings and that's all I really know.)

So far, being a cervitaur is pretty weird. I sorta want to eat grass now am having a hard time adjusting to having four legs and little antlers.

Anyways. I'll be waiting for any questions I might get and I'm excited to mess around on Tumblr. I'm pretty sure there are other Dippers here, and I'm curious how they're doing.

Heyyyy so remember when I drew a thing where Orpheus and Eurydice were creechurs? Well after one whole year I made a NYTW sequel! And yes they live w/ the bway orphydice that’s basically my brand now

(Eurydice is a harpy [no specific bird bc i’m indecisive] and Orpheus is a werewolf)

(Also, there are a couple of stellar easter eggs on Wolfpheus’s fur ;))
