Something that's important to realize is that men do not view their hatred of women as political or as a personal viewpoint. When men say things like women are less than men or stupid or not good for anything or that they belong in the kitchen, they view it as a natural fact of the world. So now that the Underworld saga is out let's talk about TIRESIAS

A funky lil person with different versions of their myth, all a little deranged.

According to one myth, Tiresias killed a pair of snakes and Hera was so mad she turned him into a woman and he birthed several children, before eventually encountering another pair of snakes and either sparing them or killing them too, and was turned back into a man. Another version says Tiresias started out as a woman - a priestess of Apollo - and went through unwilling sex change several times in a row due to Apollo, Hera, Zeus, Aphrodite, and the Muses. Eventually he was turned into a mouse of indeterminate sex.

This was all BEFORE he got blinded and given the gift of prophecy. Which happened because Zeus and Hera were arguing about whether men or women experienced more pleasure in sex, and Tiresias - who regardless of the version had experienced both- was called to be a tiebreaker. Tiresias said female o's were way better, and Hera blinded him(them?) as a result. Zeus couldn't reverse it but he did grant the ability to see the future as a "my bad".

Some time later Tiresias died either drinking from a poisoned spring or getting shot by Apollo.

Why didn't he avoid death with his seer powers? Probably because he was tired of all the BS he had to deal with and wanted to just chill in the Underworld until some random king stormed into his house to ask for directions.

Lucifer's system, however, disagrees.

His lips tickle my neck, and I already know what's coming as he plants lazy kisses on the skin, one of his hands drifting to wrap around my breast. Something behind me steadily gets harder against my lower back, and I softly groan.

"What?" he whispers in amusement. "Go to sleep, darling." Even as he's saying that, his other hand slips into my pajamas, his fingers rubbing me over my panties.

I hate the internetisation of trans terminology because it has got to the point where people will earnestly say things like "this person from the past identified as a transvestite/this person from the past identified as a drag queen they weren't trans" i am begging u to research ur history. both transsexual and transgender are relatively new terms in trans history and there's been trans people long long before those terms were invented. transvestite history and drag history are intrinsically interlinked and there were people who identified as transvestites in the past who medically transitioned and lived their entire lives as the opposite sex. in the past transvestite was such a broad term that encompassed everything from crossdressers to the modern day transsexual. trans people invented drag. trans people coined the term crossdresser. words change in meaning over time but trying to force trans people of the past into the boxes we have today is unbelievably ignorant of our history. i wish all queer people on tumblr a very learn ur fucking history !!!!! it is so important to connect to the lgbt people of the past and learn how we got the rights we do have and who are our predecessors and pioneers of our identities. tbh even transvestite is a relatively new term. the way people identified in the past is not how people necessarily identify today.
