Do you think baby Cole ever became so sick and Lilly panicked, thought it was her fault and cried beside the sleeping baby?..

She herself grew up as a sickly child, her father would be so worried that she might just die one day because her immune system was so weak. Seeing Cole get sick like that as a few months old baby, she knows why it's happening and she is blaming herself, thinking she passed her curse on him. History is going to repeat, that's what she thinks despite knowing Cole is growing up under better conditions. And Lilly wasn't sick when she gave birth to Cole and passed shortly after, like her mother did.

None of these stop her from crying beside the baby though. She knows she survived her fragile baby days because of her powers healing her, and he has her powers now, yet she is worrying deeply for Cole's health. She wouldn't handle losing her baby because she passed him her terrible immune system.

hero/villain showdown but one of them has a spontaneous medical emergency and the battle gets put on hold while their archnemesis drives them to Urgent Care

#it should be like. a hernia. or diverticulitis #something intestinal for maximum Awkward Scenario #and the entire car ride alternates between awkward silence and the driver lecturing their nemesis on the importance of regular check-ups #this is funnier if the hero is the one having the hernia tbh. but both options are Very Good #want to emphasize that it is a 'medical emergency ' that is clearly not extreme enough for the emergency room #and the sidekick/henchperson gets stuck in traffic so the hero/villain stays for moral support #they spend 8 hours in the waiting room playing Uno (it devolves into a screaming match)#at the end of the ordeal one of them vows to burn the hospital to the ground with their laser eye powers #and it's Not The One You Think #oh oh oh! ALTERNATIVELY:#it's an allergic reaction; one of them accidentally poisoned the other by using like. soybean derivative in a tranquilizer dart #emphasis on *accidentally*. yes they were technically fighting but That Wasn't Supposed To Happen #so now they're obligated to take responsibility and Stay In The Waiting Room #(can't decide if it's funnier if it's the hero or the villain stuck in this situation)#(probably the villain)#“why didn't you TELL me you were allergic to soybeans???”#“um because you would use it against me in combat?”#“as opposed to NOT telling me! which has worked out fantastic for you!!!”#villain being genuinely offended bc they have a biochemistry degree and have invented literally dozens of untraceable poisons #they have the scientific skill to poison their favorite jackass in hundreds of ways #(and have done so before! in admittedly non-fatal outcomes but that was by design okay)#but it's “dangerous” to do them the simple curtesy of informing them about a SOY ALLERGY????#above all else they consider themself a scientist #and they're LIVID that their favorite (reluctant) test subject lied about their medical history #“technically i didn't LIE--#“I read you the questionnaire! the very first time i held u hostage i READ YOU THE QUESTIONNAIRE!!!”#“...the what now”#“the MEDI--holy shit you weren't even paying attention were you #i had you bound and gagged over an ACTUAL BUBBLING ACID PIT and you couldn't even be bothered to--#“--so i was obviously a bit BUSY at that moment! Now, faced with alternate versions of his family, Jason has to grapple with the fact that his Bruce does care, that he is his father. Because the man in front of him now, trying to send him home, isn’t even close.

#batman #jason todd #bruce wayne #redhood #batfam #batfamily #this bruce went one of two ways 1) running his kids into the ground and they’re basically unrecognizable to jason or 2) worked them so hard #they couldn’t take it and left the business entirely and he’s completely alone except the JL which doesn’t like him but he is necessary #sure crime is down but bruce’s crusade is just that an actual crusade because he treats his sons like soldiers and everything comes second #to the mission. i don’t even know if damian exists in this universe because the idea of bruce having romantic relationships is laughable #although here he might be more closely aligned to talia because they’re both mission oriented and having a legal heir for their literal #legacy might appeal to him idk. just that jason shows up and it’s like his brothers have military ranks instead of names. none of them have #real jobs or even friends because they eat sleep work live at the manor and would never leave the batcave if it weren’t for public #appearances. it’s insane to see dick without his personality or tim who really does act like a robot and not a person. i don’t know if steph #cass and duke would stick around for this (or alfred for that matter i’m 50/50)#but when jason does get back everyone is shocked that he sticks around the cave and manor for a couple weeks checking in on everyone and #making the effort to do things unrelated to mask business. he has to write a report about the incident and he struggles to even put into #words how wrong it felt. his arguments with bruce also skew slightly because he can’t claim bruce doesn’t care in general just that he #doesn’t care about him or express it enough or in the right way. a far cry from the usual spiel and bruce is concerned so they talk it out

i feel like people are sleeping on the occam's razor situation of how buckwild it is to outright accuse a guy of being a clone of your friend even if you DO have a lot of circumstantial evidence. there's other options is what im saying. they could just be like. a guy. that's a sensible deduction. you should explore that deduction. ignore my shirt that reads I <3 RED HERRINGS.

Once again. A new DPxDC idea/prompt.

Selina....

Selina wasn't expecting this when she decided to have some fun and do what she does best.

She just meant to sweet talk her way into Master's gala/party. Flirt and get info, maybe some blackmail. Steal away the rare cat themed artifact he had recently gotten (and also steal away his actual cat, such a lovely little diva it is too). then she was going to disappear into the night like always.

So...

Selina casted her eyes into the mirror of her car and could see the tiny children she had rescued from Master's hidden basement lab. All but one was asleep, the oldest out of them, although she seemed to be losing that fight from the way her head was falling forward, eyes closing but would jerk herself back awake when she realized she was falling asleep.

Curled up as hard and as much as they could towards the little redhead was three dark haired children, Selina mused that they'd fit right in with Bruce and his little bats/birds.

Two were near identical boys, though one seemed to be much paler than the other and if she remembered right one had red eyes and the other had blue, and the last one of the sleeping kids was a tiny toddler, a girl she heard was named 'Ellie' from the others.

Selina took note that the red head, Jazz, had finally fallen asleep a few minutes later. With a deep breath as she drove further and further away from that... that insane Fruitloop (she overheard the two boys call him that as they ran to her car) Master's place, she blindly reached for her phone and pressed a single digit on the screen, knowing it will connect to her car and call up the only person she can trust to help her with this.

"Selina." came the gravely voice after a single ring, sounds like she caught him on patrol but he seemed to be in a spot where he was okay to say her actual name over coms or she caught him before his night shift started.

"Hello Darling, I need your help with some kittens I found and to help me... Put away their terrible old owner."

Got Jack and Maddie killed.#and got the kids deaged. AND the explosion sent them to the DCverse.#Vlad decided to begin anew in the DCverse. started using his powers to gain money again and put collars on the kids to keep them 'in check'#He's going to be in MEGA trouble when Selina brings attention to him.#Cause Bruce isn't going to happy.
