ARGH ONE MIDTERM LEFT aka the worst one due this sunday... behind 2 weeks worth of material and the exam is a take-home document and it's basically a 4k essay. man. also have to submit my uni apps by wednesday. this week needs to be over so i can play latern rite and meet gaming

i might be terrible for feeling like this. but the sheer amount of schadenfreude i have after finding out that freminet is likely going to be a shit unit is through the roof lmao

sometimes i think about your posts about the yans who would go for a more insecure darling, and i think about how certain yans would be with a very vain girl; obsessed with her looks, herself, etc. and a very big ego. like, imagine getting her pregnant, and the main reason she’s upset is because she thinks the physical changes that happen during pregnancy will make her ugly.

It would be so much more ironic for darling of certain boys (namely Albedo, Childe, Ayato, or Diluc) though, because like… not only is he not bothered by it, but seeing you so cute and swollen only makes you that much more attractive to him, and yet you don’t listen…

With a vain darling in general, probably the best guys to have would be be Albedo, Venti or Zhongli, because they’re very high-patience and fairly tolerant, while still being socially apt enough to understand your insecurities and concerns/feelings in general, and good enough with words to quell any tantrums and put your worries to rest, not to mention complimenting you to hopefully keep you placated (or, knowing the bastard, occasionally pull a backhanded compliment or subtle line to make you more insecure and manipulate you when it benefits him, so he can then reverse it with reassurance and make you more malleable).

And while it’s comforting to consider who would be a good match, it is far funnier to consider who would be a horrible match in the best way possible. I raise you either:

1) The “doesn’t understand but is trying his best” types like Xiao, Razor or Chongyun — who does not understand why you’re so concerned with this, but he tries his best to reassure you… except he puts his foot in his mouth quite a bit because the comments sometimes come out sounding a bit different than his intentions. Lines such as ‘it doesn’t matter how you look, I like you’ which then has him wide-eyed shrinking back when you start wailing that that means he thinks you look terrible. Or, ‘it doesn’t matter if everyone else thinks that,’ to which he gets confused as to why you start crying because that means he believes everyone does think that… you are very confusing to him and it’s starting to hurt his head, poor thing.

2) The “well-meaning but blunt and dense as hell” Diluc and Alhaitham cases who would not merely put his foot in his mouth, but digs his own grave every time he tries to help. He gets that you’re concerned with looks and all that, but he’s not gonna lie to you or be gentle with your feelings, why would he do that? He’s going to be honest, because you want to look nice, right? Which leads to conversations such as—

“Does this look good on me? :)”

✧ Albedo almost never let's emotions carry him so you could tell he's always the one calming you down when needed

✧ but he does understand that you need to let the negative emotions out, so first thing he does is getting your emotions out on paper

✧ as for you comparing yourself to others, he starts noticing you daydreaming and will sometimes make remark for you to not worry about it

✧ he's rather reassuring type so whenever you try comparing yourself out loud, he'll stop whatever he's doing just to hold your hands gently and remind you of all your values

"Don't call yourself like that. You're the most skillful person in this field I know. And believe me when I say I don't just throw words on wind."

✧ and of course, there's also your tsundere behavior which often leaves him chuckling quietly at how you're trying to hide your affection

✧ he's not necessarily the teasing type but he can't stop but naje you clarify what you want just to see that little blush on your face

✧ as Xiao can be a bit of a tsundere sometimes as well, he doesn't really have problems with anger

✧ he'd sometimes be the type to put his hand on your shoulder and reassure you there's no need to waste your energy on something like that

✧ but sometimes... he'll let you. It all depends of the situation you found yourself in

"They said what to you...? I'll go fight them instead, you shouldn't risk any danger. Especially when I'm around."

✧ something he can't understand tho is you constantly comparing yourself to others. He saw many mortals do it and yet he still doesn't understand why you're comparing yourself to someone with much more experience

✧ he's gonna be rather blunt with it and just tell you it's not logical at all to compare yourself who just started with something to someone who's been devoted to this genre for few years already!

✧ you were definitely the first person he met with such an anger issues so he had hard time getting used, but once he does, he doesn't mind that much

✧ he will try dragging you aside whenever you get angry at someone and offer for you to take your anger out on him or on any object he doesn't care about instead

✧ as for your comparing, he won't tolerate that! he'll stop you and tell you all things he likes about you right in the face while holding your shoulders or hands and maintaining eye contact. He want's you to be sure you know he's being honest!

✧ he's also trying to help you calm down with your anger! First thing he thinks of that might help would be those anti stressing toys to squeeze!

✧ he'll buy you as many as you'd want, even if you keep breaking them. What matters to him is if they work

Genshin Men: How They Greet You In The Morning [Liyue + Childe]

Summary: What our lovely Genshin boys do when they wake up (and you’re still asleep, or just beginning to wake up)

Genre: fluff | x reader (established relationship)

Xiao: It feels a little weird to him, sleeping beside someone else as a mystical being like himself doesn’t really need sleep. He wakes up first, making sure no monsters get into your vicinity while you’re still peacefully sleeping. Mortals, he probably thinks to himself- yet he doesn’t realize his fingers creeping up to touch your own fingers. He blushes, and then you stir awake and greet him with a smile and good morning. He’ll mutter back a good morning- flicks your forehead if you ask to keep sleeping but will stay with you nonetheless. (Idk if you can tell, I can write on and on about Xiao)

Childe: (Okay, genuine question- where the fuck does he sleep canonically? Like right now? Ahem- anyway...) Though he has duties he has to attend to, he’s definitely willing to spare some time to be with you in the early mornings. Quite playful actually: booping your nose, running his pinky through your eyelashes, you get it. You definitely wake up annoyed so be my guest- flick his forehead back because he deserves it. Sometimes he his heart aches because he most likely rarely has the time to indulge in these moments. He can't remember a time when he was doing Fatui things and had a good quality sleep, until you of course. Overall playful morning with him is enough for him to get out of bed.

Zhongli: Would preferably wait for you to wake up- unfortunately he does have things to attend to (though he can't shake off this weird feeling that's pulling him in to stay longer). Nonetheless, he always checks to ask you if you slept well, or not- either way, he's more than willing to listen. Something tells me he might help you a little, meaning He likes to plan his day, so he'll ask you or before in advance what you're doing today, and he'll probably ask to meet somewhere later.

Xingqiu: He's wakes up- yup you guessed it- reading. Already did his morning routine and everything only to find his nose buried inside a book first thing. Always says good morning with a kiss to your hand. However, he does like to pull your leg sometimes by dragging things and purposely causing a disturbance to your own morning routine. Also may lightly trace the outline of your features, but more as a teasing way to wake you up. He finds it cute when you whine and plead for him to stop. But it always ends with the two of you heading out together. <3

Chongyun: Admires you if you're still asleep, and doesn’t even know he’s doing it. I imagine he probably has early training too? As much as he is self-disciplined very well, I feel like he’d also be a little hesitant on leaving you. He is dedicated to exorcism, but he makes sure to create time with you sometime later in the day. Omg wouldn't it be so cool if instead of leaving a note he'd leave a specialty that symbolizes where he is? Ex: leaving Qingxin if he's in the cliffs?? Yeah he'll do that, your own little coded message. If you're already awake then he'll just tell you.

So to add on ap, chongyun’s Yang state has a variation of responses, he has tame ones like in the poetry event those are fine. It’s the chaotic ones that are a problem “he chases people around, passed out,danced on top of furniture, broken furniture, and gotten injured and he sometimes doesn’t even remember himself being in Yang state.

and then when all is said and done he still get’s told that he’s entertainment(a sign in wangshu btw), that his Yang state is the real him and the fact that his friends always seem to be giving him chilis because they think that his Yang side is better for him.

Then here comes Ga-Ming he’s good at fighting , he can dance and perform all he wants, he’s happy and cheerful without consequences, he uses a claymore, he admires Xiao as well, he’s probably friends with his own friends.

a big slap in the face that tells him “ hey, you know that Yang side of you that causes you a lot of trouble personally, yeah well seems that they prefer you that way” and boom the angst

Now I obviously I don’t think chongyun’s friends are *that mean or that they even have bad intentions but it’s always personally bothered me the language they use around him and about him idk it always feels insensitive. Not only that but the disregard of his own feelings and boundaries always bothered me. Doesn’t help that his Yang and anything related to chilis is meant for jokes. But c’mon Xiangling’s job is literally a chef her whole job is meant to be making food, she can scold people for being picky but she sometimes puts chilis in her friends food even though he can pass out like where’s the logic. At least she makes him his popsicles. this includes hu Tao also like she is a prankster and all but she takes her job seriously and one of the things she has to do is keep the balance of yin and Yang so like you’d think she’d be like “hey my friend having a pure Yang body is probably not a good thing but nah let’s prank him even though he clearly doesn’t like)

like c’mon he’s just asking for no chilis in his food it’s not hard

anyway that’s my idea basically it can also happen the opposite way with Ga-Ming being a friend who does respect his boundaries(please just one friend) and still finds way to include him in events without triggering his Yang so Chongyun hangs out with him which leads to other’s self reflection. so yeah that’s all I have.

Book's Purpose || Genshin Tk Fic

Hello all! This will be my first ever fic I have posted aaa! I'm so sorry if it turns out to be bad, but nevertheless, I hope at least some of you enjoy! \\(≧◡≦)//

As noon falled, so too, did Hu Tao's spirit. She had been sitting here for what felt like hours, awaiting for the red headed antler girl to pay her that very well deserved attention.

It all started when Xingqiu had showed Yanfei this new book series that the Yae Publishing House had published after what felt like year's, and the two of them have been excited ever since to read it together, however, Chongyun had to 'borrow' him well before they could make it to the library. Hu Tao didn't think much of it at first, I mean, how could she? It wasn't normal for Yanfei to sit down and read for an entire day. Did she even eat or drink, possibly take a bathroom break!? Hoo boy, these were answers only the Director knew.

"Yan-Yan~! I'm so bored.. can't you read this later? I've been waiting for you all-"

"Shh, it's getting interesting!" Hummed Yanfei in excitement, making 'ooo'ing noises when she continued.

Okay, NOW Hu Tao HAD to do something, anything! But what could it be? She already tried nagging her, annoying her, and even tugging at her, but none of those worked even the slightest to get her out of this headspace! Think, Hu Tao, think.. what is something you haven't tried yet? Something that might tickle her fancy.. wait, eureka, smart thinking! Was all she thought to herself, her once pouting face replaced with a large grin filled with childish mischief.

This expression, alone, finally caught Yanfei's attention, "Did you like this page too? I think the fact that Sir Sparkingt-huh? T-Tao-Tao, what're you..?" She question, eye's now filling with fear as she slid away from her in her seat. "So now you pay attention to me, hm? I was feeling a little lonely and sad, so what better than for us to have a good laugh?" She closed the gap between them, her finger's itching to find their first spot, the silliness alone was making Yanfei's usually blank expression change into a childish smile, raising her hands up to attempt and keep a distance between them.

"I-I'm finished with the book, I finished, j-just.. plehe-please don't!" Whimpered the red head, a long awe escaping Hu Tao's smugged lips, "Why should I? You only stopped because I've decided to.. what was the game called? Hm.. it starts with T, I just forgot the rest of the words! Mind helping me figure it out, Yan-Yan?" Chorused the brunette, before latching her right hand against her hip, rubbing into the plush area whilst her other hand went to catch her right hand, placing it over her head.

"H-Huhu Tahao! Why're yoho- hmhmhm! Why're you d-doing.. thihi- this?" She attempted to hold back her giggles, the soft kneading from Hu Tao's fingertips only exceeding, her fingertips digging gently into her back, her thumb rubbing into the divet of her hip, making Yanfei's left hand reach down and grab at her wrist, "W-Wait! No, thihihi- gahmhmhmhm! T-this is embarrassing!" Flushed the red head, her movements becoming slightly more frantic from such soft movement's. Man, didn't Hu Tao want to do this forever now.

"Are you sure? There's literally no one here, you chose this spot for a reason, my beloved. I could just eat you up for how adorable you are! You know what? I might do just that!" She leaned over and nibbled at her neck, acting like she was eating her whilst making 'nom nom nom' noises, "GAH! Nohohoho! Hu Taha-AHH!" She shrieked, shocking the both of them. All Hu Tao did was bring the hand that once held her right arm up and rub at her antle- oh. Oh. Now she understood.

"Oh no, did I just find my little giggle bug's tickl-tickl-ticklish spot?" Teased the other, both hands going up to rub at the area. Before she could, however, Yanfei took this opportunity to spider at her underarms, making her squeak and quickly lower her arm's to protect herself. Once Hu Tao did just that, Yanfei booked it, she ran out the place and went to hide. "Ohohoh, NOW you want to play, hm? Well then, let's play!"

And just like that, Hu Tao went out to find her Rudolph. She looked behind each place thoroughly, behind each nook and cranny, until she had saw her trying to sneak out of Liyue Harbor. Oh she wasn't going to escape this time! Quickly, the brunette pursued after her.

After a long game of cat and mouse, Hu Tao was victorious, he arm's wrapped around her girlfriend's waist, as they both fell into the grass, glaze lillies and silk flowers cuddling against the two girl's. They laughed at their silliness before squealing, high pitched laughter poured out Yanfei once again. The brunette had nuzzled her nose into the underside of Yanfei's antler, whilst her hands squeezed at the sides of her tummy, "BWAH!? H-HAHAH! Huhu- HU TAHAO! WAHAHAIT, wahahait! Ohohohoh gohohohosh noho! Hehehelp me!" Yanfei reached out, before whining as the german shepherds near the harbor went over and lapped at her neck and tummy, making her curl up, "COHOHOME ON!" She threw her head back, Hu Tao smiling, "How cute, they think you're sweet!" She chuckled, Yanfei shaking her head once again, "Okahahay, yohou win, juhuhust hehelp mehehehehe! They tihihickle!" She hugged Hu Tao's arm, her aweing, "Okay okay, c'mon pups! Cut it out!" She petted the two, making them bark out happily before running back to their positions.

"So, anything you'd like to say, hm?" Hu Tao smuggly looked at her, laughing when she lightly whacked her arm, "Okay I get it." She smiled, before humming as Yanfei mumbled against her shoulder, "What was that?" She asked, rubbing her back as the two cuddled in the grass, the sun beaming comfortably against the two, "I said I love you, and.. I wouldn't mind thay happening again." She said, nuzzling her face into her neck to hide her blush. "I had fun too, love you." so i'm finally playing through the AQ, and i am about 90% done i think, on the 'finale' quest. i have thoughts. spoilers below, and i desperately need discussion.

so i haven't played for a number of reasons until today, and i managed to avoid spoilers for the most part. so if shit was already brought up, i didn't see it.

but basically, i wonder if neuvillete regaining power over fontaine and being sovereign again means that the other sovereigns will eventually come back into the picture. i refuse to believe that this is a one time thing. and with all the gnoses being given up, and the archons not having that much power, it means the sovereigns could eventually take a leaf out of neuvilette's book and follow suit?

i'm really curious about the (forgive my spelling) hexenzirkel. it's coming up a lot more lately, and i feel like it's definitely making a comeback. and i know gold has a huge role to play to come, but i'm wondering exactly how big of a part she has to play.

there's definitely a war brewing between celestia and teyvat, and focalors all but spelled it out for us. i can't remember what all the other archons have said about celestial, but she was the first one to all but say she's defying them.

also MY BOY CHILDE!!! i love him so fucking much, i actually clapped when i saw him. i really only need him from now on and i'll be happy (+ all my faves but still).

i am really excited to see what we'll see next with childe and skirk, and i'm really happy she's finally in the game proper. i am SO GOING to hop on my other blog and plot shit out with her, so CALLING ALL CHILDES, COME HANG OUT WITH YOUR MASTER.

for an au idea for chongyun, i had the wildest idea that chongyun could also be an abyss student. i have not let go of my legendary wishlist item, in which chongyun and childe work together and share the same general goal, and chongyun is probably also a disciple of skirks. nothing would make me happier than to finally, FINALLY get this plot going, because chongyun and childe i think would be the best of partners.

i think, honestly, that this managed to top sumeru's storyline. or at the very least, fontaine and sumeru are my current favorite archon quests, and i can just imagine it'll keep getting better from here.

for the critiques, i wish mona played a bigger part. she felt more like a cameo appearance just to appease the fans, she shoud've played a bigger role. i'd be super happy to find out later that she's a part of the hexenzirkel in the future, she would be powerful enough for it.

i also didn't remember navia's friends that died. i'm sad for her loss, but i genuinely didn't remember who they were until she fell into the water and saw them in person. and then it was an "oh yeah" moment, but nothing tear-jerking for me. the impact would've been a little better if we didn't have to wait so long to see her again.

if i have any other critiques i can't remember them right now. but these are my current thoughts FOR NOW, i'll definitely have more later.

more childe, pls. i hate that he was unconscious both times we actually saw him before he was yeeted. like let us fucking talk to him!

Chapter II: Flare and Frost

A/N: Our first periodical test just ended, and we have 5 days break to refresh our burnout braincells. I hope y’all got the scores you deserved:)

And by the way, if some of you are confused about the reader’s appearance, I based it off from Chongyun to match the reader’s abilities.

“We’re done with orientation and dorm assignments?” a red headed boy mouthed, voice lacing authority, “All right, new students—let me be clear. At Heartslabyul House, I am the law. Break the rules, and it’s off with your head!”

“Well, that ceremony is as boring as ever,” a tired yawn erupted from someone with a lion ears, boredom written over his face. “I’m going back to the dorm. If you’re in Savanaclaw House, follow me.”

“New students! Allow me to be the first to congratulate you on your achievement,” the boy with glasses said, yet somehow the hidden tone in his voice doesn’t paint the same as his charming face. “As dorm leader of Octavinelle House, I am honored to have the opportunity to support you in what I hope will be a fulfilling campus experience.”

“Hey, does anyone know where the headmage went? He disappeared midway through the ceremony....” A handsome boy spoke. If his ridiculously handsome face can’t make you fall in love, then his honeyed-husky voice sure can.

“Some headmage he is....” A throaty voice remarked from the other side of a floating device.

“Maybe he had a tummy ache?” A boy with red eyes innocently presumed, and as if on cue the large door open comes with a dramatic reveal of their infantile headmaster.

“I most certainly did NOT!” The said headmage walk through the door, followed by someone who looks like out of the world as they mutter something incomprehensible.

“Ah, speak of the devil.”

“If you must know, I was searching for the new students who'd failed to show for orientation,” Crowley crossed his arms unimpressed at the students’ impression of him before dragging the person beside him, they did not failed to notice how the person’s icy blue eyes pierce through their headmaster’s soul who merely shrugged it off. “You are the only one who has yet to be assigned a dorm. Step up to the Dark Mirror, be quick about it. I’ll watch your weasel.”

“Arguing with stubborn old people isn’t my forte. Respectfully, shut the fuck up.” The person grumbled, a silent groan bubbling on their throat as they begrudgingly complied.

“State thy name.”

“I’m [Name].”

“[Name]...” The Dark Mirror repeated. “The nature of thy soul is.....” There was a deafening silence until it spoke again: “..... Unclear to me.”

“What did you say?”

“I sense a tremendous amount of magical power from this one—no, rather, I sense a strange otherworldly elemental power from this one. But their soul.... Soundless. Colorless. Shapeless. Utterly vacant. Therefore, no dorm would be appropriate.”

‘Their...?’ A confused hum left [Name]’s lips. ‘Err.. I mean, it’s just my soul that this... mirror... looked at not my gender, right? ... Right?’ It doesn’t matter what gender [Name] was confused as, for she knows well enough how much she looks and acts like a boy herself.

“What do you mean elemental power and not magical power?” The headmage questioned, a clear and visible rage and confusion lacing his tone, “That is absurd! The student selection process has not erred once in its century of existence!” He voiced out, loosening his grasp on the háozi, “But how could this be...”

“Mmmph! Nnnrgggh!” A gurgle of incomprehensible muffled sounds bubbling from the háozi left everyone staring at him, loud gasp escaping his mouth as the whip binding him was left hanging by the hip of the headmaster, “ME! Let me have this student’s seat!”

“Not so fast, you hyperactive weasel!”

“Unlike that human, I have and can use magic! So let me be a student here!” He exclaimed, his taunting smirk widening. “Look, I’ll show you! My spells’re the cat’s meow!”

“Everyone get down!”

“Myaaaaaah!”

[Name] is confused, to say the least. First, she was standing there having an identity crisis. And the second she came back from her world of thought, the whole room is already flooded in a sea of blue flames. Chaos settling down in the burning room, much to [Name]’s dismay.

“AHHHHH! Help! I’m on fire over here!”

A shaky breath escaped [Name]’s lips as she watch everything fall apart. The screams and the cries of help fell silent to her ears.

She could almost swear that by the time everything is over, she will be a mess of a puddle.

“Someone catch that blasted animal before it sets the entire school ablaze!” The headmage ushered, telling them to be quick, but seriously? Can’t he do it himself?

“Ugh, can I go now, or...?”

“Oh? I thought you fancied yourself a hunter. Go and help yourself to that plump little morsel!”

“Too much effort. Do it yourself,” ‘Mood.’

“Allow me to handle this, headmage Crowley,” the same guy with glasses interject with his charming smile, but [Name] saw it through his facade. “If none of you are up to the task of catching the small animal, I will accept the responsibility.”

“WTG Azul. Rackin’ up those participation credits.”

“Hey, uhm, my butt’s still on fire... Could someone maybe put this out?!”

“I’m sorry, were my instructions unclear?!” The headmage demanded, much to everyone’s dismay.

The lion-eared boy sighed, “Preeeetty sure you can handle catching one mangy weasel all on your lonesome there, headmage.”

“How many times do I gotta say it?!” Said weasel yelled, “I’m Grim, spellcaster extraordinaire! I am NOT a weasel!”

“Aren’t you a spunky little fellow? Riddle, would you be so kind....?” The boy with glasses, Azul, ushered to the red headed boy next to him.

“Furry miscreant. I will abide no rule-breaking. You will be judged by my hand.”

It was a pure silence, excluding the sound of someone asking for help because their butt is on fire, until a sound of something cracking erupted.

Hold up, did they just heard something snapped...?

“Ugh... Dealing with a mess I’m not even a part of is the toughest thing.”

As if the Great Seven heed their calls, the room’s temperature gradually turned below the average temperature of earth. Something soft and cold rain down the burning room, immediately distinguishing the flames.

Icicles forming and snow raining, such a magnificent field magic indeed.

“Much better...” [Name]’s body temperature returned to normal again, well at least something she could deem normal from the actual normal temperature of human body.

Riddle stared in awe for a moment, snapping out of his thoughts after realizing the reason why he’s dealing with this fucked up ceremony in the first place. Pointing his pen at the háozi, he chanted:

“Off with your head!”

“MYAH?! What are you doing?!” The weasel, who's name is ‘Grim’ as to what [Name] remembered, stuttered out, a heart-shaped collar locked around his neck.

“The Queen of Hearts’ Rule 23: “One must never bring a cat to a formal affair,” the redhead said, still keeping his neutral face. “Your very presence here is a violation of order. You will vacate these premises immediately.”

“But I ain’t a cat either!” Grim exclaimed, paws clenching on the collar as if trying to burn it down but to no avail. “Don’t you try’n collar me! I’ll burn it right off! Huh....? W-what gives? My fire ain’t workin’!”

“Until I deign to remove that collar, you won’t be using any magic. You’re naught but a pet cat now.”

“M-meoWHAT?!” He shouted in disbelief, “I ain’t nobody’s pet—NOTHING!”

“Oh, you’ve nothing to worry about there. I certainly have no interest on having you as a pet.”

‘Dang...,’ The light blue haired girl internally winced as she let out a small, quiet snort.

“The collar will disappear once you’re removed from campus,” The Heartslabyul’s housewarden explained.

“Ha-HA! Good show as always, Riddle. Your signature spell locks down any magic. It's quite handy. I’ve just got to have it—ah, I mean, I just got to respect for it,” the Octavinelle's housewarden’s soft voice echoed, his eyes were closed but she could feel the greed oozing from it even without looking.

‘Well, isn’t this just lovely...’ [Name] sarcastically commented in her mind.

“Was I not clear that you are expected to take responsibility for your familiar?” The birdman interjected, looking at the light blue haired student in utter disappointment.

“Sir, actually, I do not own a familiar,” [Name] answered, pinching the bridge of her nose in pure irritation . “Heck I didn’t even know a talking animal exist!”

“Now discipline your—what’s that?! It isn’t yours?”

“I’ve told you repeatedly that that wasn’t mine!”

“Oh... Is that so?” Crowley muttered before composing himself once again to avoid an ungracious embarrassment. “Then I shall have it expelled from campus. I shall even spare it from being serve as a dinner,” he mouthed before turning to someone, “My, but I am kind.... Someone take this away, please.”

“Noooooo! Let me gooooo!” The weasel struggled. “You fools better remember my name! ‘Cause I’m gonna go down in the annals of magic history! Just you wait!”

That was his last word before he was thrown out of the campus.

“I feel kind of sorry for him,” [Name] muttered, not loud enough for the bird man to hear.

“Well, that was quite the unexpected fracas. I hereby declare that orientation has concluded,” Crowley declared.

‘I want to sleep... I still have to restock my fridge,’

“Housewardens, please escort your students back to the dorms,” he ordered, but stopped immediately. “... Hm? Come to think of it, I don’t see housewarden Draconia of House Diasomnia anywhere.”

“And that surprises you? Dude’s a total recluse.”

‘Damn... I feel bad whoever this Draconia guy is.’

“Wait a sec... Did anyone even invite him?” The same boy with red eyes spoke.

“If you’re that worried about him missing out, maybe you should’ve told him yourself.”

“Maybe, but I don’t know him well either...”

Then the whispering continued again.

“Draconia... Like, Malleus Draconia? THAT Draconia?”

“So it’s true? He really does go to school here?”

"Yikes."

“Ah, just as I’d expected,” a boy with deep voice spoke contrasting his body stature.

‘Man, this guy would certainly have competition with Xiao in the longest emo phase moments.’

“I figured I’d come down and see for myself whether Malleus had made an appearance. But once again, he was evidently not informed that his presence was required at an official ceremony.”

“You have my sincerest apologies. I assure you, this oversight was in no way intended as a snub,” Azul ‘apologized’.

‘I don’t know what’s going on and I simply don’t want to know.’

“I mean, you must admit, he’s not exactly the easiest person to strike up a conversation with,” Riddle commented.

“No matter,” the deep voiced male interjected.“"All who were assigned to House Diasomnia, follow me. I just hope he doesn’t sulk about this...” He ushered, whispering the last sentence.

Not long after, the students leave the Chamber by group, the only ones left were Crowley, [Name] and the Dark Mirror if you counted it.

“Well, [Name]. This is a most unfortunate turn of events,” he spoke.

‘No shit Sherlock,’ [Name] only deadpan at his obviousness.

“I’m afraid that you will not be attending Night Raven College after all,” He said with a slight frown on his face—how did she even see it through his mask. “Surely you realize that I cannot very well admit a student who isn’t suitable for any dorm, even if you possesses such power.”

‘I didn’t even wanted to attend this fucked up academy of yours’

“But, worry not. The Dark Mirror will see you safely home,” he reassured the female who only nodded in response. “Now, step into a gate, and visualize the place from whence you come from.”

And so, she did, ‘What a long dream this was.’

It was an awkward silence until Crowley break it with a light cough on his fist, “L-let us, er... Try again. O Dark Mirror! Return this soul—”

“There is no such place.”

“What?” “I beg your fucking pardon?”

“There is no place in this world where this soul belongs,” The Dark Mirror blankly blurted. “None.”

“How can that be?” Crowley drop his hand over his forehead in such a dramatic way. “My, but today is veritable cavalcade of impossible phenomena!”

“....”

[Name] could only sigh for the nth time this day, ‘Give me a break please... An eternal break would suffice.’

“This has never happened throughout my long tenure. I must confess that I am at something of a loss,” he mumbled, loud enough for the ice-blue eyed female to hear before looking back at her. “Tell me: From what land do you hail?”

“Sure. I’m from the country of Liyue.”

Putting his thumb and index finger below his chin, he hummed, “I’m afraid I am not familiar with such a place,” he said. “I am intimately acquainted with the origins of every student who has ever come here, and yet.... This mysterious homeland of your eludes me. Let us go to the library and look it up, shall we?”

The female groaned before nodding her head, what can she do anyway?

‘Whoever is watching me from above, please take the air out of my lungs and put me out of my misery...’

Inside the Teapot, Hu Tao sits underneath a tree overlooking the water as she waits for someone to arrive. She wasn’t entirely sure who since it was a letter, but she had a few guesses. Not long after arriving, the person in question showed up exactly on time.

Chongyun:Ah, you’re already here.

Hu Tao:Are you saying you expected tardiness? “Meet at the tree during sunset. Sincerely, a Captain.” Anyone else would’ve said their name. You have yourself away.

Chongyun:*red* I wasn’t trying to be secretive. I only needed you to take the letter seriously.

Hu Tao:*stands up* Consider that a job well done. So, is the shocking part where you actually confess just how deeply your feelings are for me and I gasp dramatically?

Chongyun:*pulls out crown*

Hu Tao:…In a way, some might say this counts as a confession of sorts. Definitely acknowledgement.

Chongyun:*red* Hu Tao!

Hu Tao: Just sayin…

Chongyun:I was in charge of you when you first arrived and put you on my team. It’s only fitting I give that the person giving you a literal crowning achievement would be me, your captain.

Hu Tao:Ooo so official. Does my dear former Captain have any ceremonial words to give me? I could listen to a short speech.

Chongyun: A speech!? Have other captains been doing-

Hu Tao:*snickering* Relax. No need to stress. Just a harmless little prank. I’ll take this off your hands; thank you very much!

Hu Tao:That’s kinda my entire thing silly. I’m alright! Especially with the traveler’s most trusted partner taking so good care of me. I even got you your final constellation to help.

Chongyun:That was luck.

Hu Tao: which made you skilled enough to have my back. Hehe lighten up Chongyun? *holds face* I’m already keeping pace. Soon enough I’ll be flying past ya! Then we’ll see who’s leading who.

Chongyun:I worry for anyone who has to follow your lead.

Hu Tao:What does that mean? I already own a business. I’ll be a great leader. *grins*

Chongyun:I’m proud of you. *smiles* Things were pretty crazy at first, but you really are something special. Let’s keep doing our best together.

Hu Tao went quiet, her face turning red. She did ask for a speech, but the way he was genuinely smiling and praising her progress was a little too much to handle. She took her precious hat off and tilted her down. Chongyun gently placed the crown on her and stepped back to get a good look at her as he clapped. The lively funeral director only felt more embarrassed and walked closer to place her forehead against his chest to hide her face.

Chongyun:!? Are you okay?

Hu Tao:Just need a minute. I think all the sun has gotten to me.

A tiny fib he found particularly funny, considering it was him of all people, the guy most sensitive to heat. Chongyun hugged her and it only took a moment before Hu Tao hugged him back tighter.

Hu Tao:…I love you.

Chongyun:I love you too.

(I had to take this off of the official numbered list because my rambles are just too rambly, and tumblr started yelling at me......) 1.) my beautiful cinnamon roll too good for this world fave: Bennett!! Bennett, Bennett, Bennett, I choose Bennett-- Also Chongyun and Freminent. Somft boys. Doing their best. Also could kick your ass. Also I have all of them. :3c (...Very sad that I had to take Chongyun off my main team, because Bennett's about to C6 and render him useless.)

2.) my trash-shit fave: I have no idea what this means, but I'm gonna guess that Dottore and Scaramouche belong here-- Especially Dottore; he's the guy giving me the MOST brainworms right now. (But I can't share most of the brainworms because I'd have to explain all the reasons why my version of him turned out the way he did, then be told I'm wrong anyway, so.) Anyways, I love Scaramouche/Wanderer's entire story, I love that he Has Problems but those problems aren't JUST that he's a little asshole bitch for no reason like fandom keeps trying to claim. Also I want!! Playable Dottore!! I want him so bad. Sure sure, to some people having him redeemed would be soooooo boring, but- Personally, I only have a certain amount of fun with villains that are villains for the evulz, and I LOVE characters with Potential (potential for both better and worse, sometimes even for the same reasons); also a lot of certain little details about Dottore gives me the vibes that he isn't the one-note crazy man basically everyone writes him as, which is apparently, supposedly backed up by the actual og Chinese writing of a few things. And I genuinely think that ANY way they go about redeeming him/making him playable -- be it revealing Tragic Backstory reasons, or a begrudging process, or "well I've decided I like and respect you, so sure, I'll behave, for now >:)" -- would be interesting no matter what they go for!! ...I'm genuinely gonna cry a bit if they do opt to just kill him off ;v; but if Gensh goes that route, I do hope it's at least to an epic boss fight or something. Full monster transformation, if possible.

3.) my I love to hate them fave: God, I have no idea, I'm not usually the type outside of very specific characters. I guess Signora might qualify? ...I'm not gonna earn much love with that one-- She's just, like...tragic backstory? Check. Pretty lady with beautiful theming and massive tits? Check. Front-story bitch? Yeah that's pretty fun! ...Why is it so hard to force her character to shift in writeys. Like, even thinking about alternate ways events could go on my own, it's like...she owns her own girlboss so hard, it borders on Ungrateful behavior (which tends to be one of the few kinds of behaviors characters can have that grind on my nerves). Apparently there's a chance she might get revived in Natlan, and honestly I'm hoping. I don't think it'll be the worst thing in the world if it doesn't happen, but I sure would like the excuse to put her back in the oven to bake some more, without having to wait for my brain to become actually hooked on her to do it.

4.) my I hate to love them fave: This one's gonna sound weird; Faruzan. ...Okay, okay, let me explain- So, y'all know how Faruzan had a boosted drop rate when Wanderer was first released? (...And I think it happened again when his banner came back around, but that's not important--) I was. SO. DAMN. DESPERATE. to get Wanderer. I had picked out a name for him months in advance (well, tentatively; some leaks a friend was looking at said you could name him, and I wasn't 100% convinced but I wanted to be PREPARED in case it really was true, and then it was!), both of my friends (including Devoid here <3) were pulling for him as well, and both got him before I did, which intensified my desire to get him. I had been saving up. I was doing SO MANY TEN PULLS. And I got. SO. MANY. FARUZANS. I think I had one ten pull that was, like, four Faruzans in a row. I had her C6'd extremely early on into my pulls, and then she just kept showing up. It was driving me mad. I don't really get too bothered by a character's in-game actions unless they're a specific kind of irksome, but messing with my pulls? That bothers me a lot-- Eventually I did get Wanderer, but I'd also gotten like...twenty or forty Faruzans in the process or something like that. It was ridiculous. And I was all set to just hate her forever. ...But then, like...her hangout comes out and that was really good. And then the event with Wanderer, Kaveh, Tighnari, and everyone happened, and THAT was also really good, and she's so affectionate towards Collei and hnnnnnn...Why's she have to be such a good character with such great taste in other characters?? Save me--

5.) my I wouldn’t piss on them if they were on fire non-fave: So, you know how I said that character actions don't tend to bother me outside of certain traits? Fucking. Royce. I hate Royce. I mean- I view Benny's entire ex-team rather unfavorably, but Royce's "almost-has-a-realization-just-to-backtrack-and-yell-at-Benny-again" behavior drives me up the goddamn wall. I'm sure there's other NPCs that piss me off but no one else I can remember by actual actions or name. I do have some playable characters I don't really like at all, but this category is very strongly worded for those feelings. (No hate to any Royce fans out there >////////< And also apologies, but this is probably the only time I'm gonna talk about him anyway, at least by name)

6.) my I didn’t care about them either way at first but the fandom makes such a big deal about them now I can’t stand them non-fave: I've been avoiding most fandom content precisely for this reason!! (...Unfortunately I've still gotten exposed to a bunch of shitty fan takes, but it for the most part hasn't shaken my character opinions much. My ship opinions however...) ...The most popular takes of Scaramouche and Dottore (by fans and non-fans alike) have only further solidified my personal vibes of wanting them more sympathetic and avoiding one-note portrayals like the plague. Signora has been on thin ice for a while because so many people are really fucking aggravating in regards to her, but she's yet to budge because I do feel mildly compelled about her. So hopefully that sticks. But I WILL absolutely despise Capitano out of sheer fan spite if he's revealed to be the 1st Harbinger, and there's a ~secret 10th Harbinger~, that is just, like...It's almost kinda neat, but so many people are being so bullheaded and shitty about it (mostly on reddit, I think), to the point it's invaded the wiki that I otherwise really respect for all the work that goes into it, that he just better fucking be the 10th or I will be UPSET.

7.) my I could take them or leave them kinda non-fave: Honestly, most of the cast. Up until about Sumeru, I really only cared about 2-5 characters per nation. Then with Sumeru and Fontaine, they've really knocked it out of the park with characters I absolutely adore and only one or two that kinda just fade out of my memory. I won't say which ones. !!!!!! IMPORTANT NOTE!! This has nothing to do with writing quality or design quality or "oh my subjective opinion is absolute fact and anyone who disagrees with me is a dumb stupid idiot with no taste" or anything like that- It's just that I wasn't vibing too strongly with most characters; not for any necessary particular reason or failure on Mihoyo's part or anything like that. Just how it turned out.

8.) my I will go down with this ship and I won’t put my hands up and surrender, there will be no white flag above my door. I’m in love and always will be fave ship: Dottore x Scaramouche is my BIGGEST ship right now, especially onesided. Especially reluctantly reciprocated. Primarily on Dottore's side. It's WAY BETTER!!", and. lemme tell you. If you want me to UTTERLY DESPISE your fave character or ship, the best way to do that is praise your fave while bashing another character or ship!! Fuck me, it doesnt even have to be a character or ship I even like, but for some reason it always fucking is. Like the sheer amount of people that go "Why dont people like [character] more??? They're much better than ITTO!!" like. 1. fuck you. 2. Itto has a MUCH LOUDER presence than whatever character you're trying to praise. 3. why does everyone always try to go after [specific ship I like a lot], or Itto? It's always them. Like they're making some big sweeping statement of "oh THAT dumb thing is getting attention for no reason!!" when like...entertainment factor, you knuckleheads. They're just onscreen and instantly make an impression. I'm really, really sorry your fave doesn't get as much attention, I get it, I really do, I've had barely popular/outright bashed faves before, but y'all actively hurt your case rather than helping it when you try to tear other characters/ships down to build yours up. I get that you're frustrated, but it's not fucking helping. Cut that shit out and then get back to me. Anyways. The other one that bothers the shit out of me for far more petty reasons is Wriothesley x Neuvillette, which. I feel bad about, to be fair. I feel sorta guilty for not liking it, because it definitely has potential. There's just one problem-- one of my biggest fucking pet peeves is ship bashing/attempted ship sinking (-gestures at my sarcasm a bit earlier-, which also sums up half of why I despise "child-coding" and "oh!! this small girl character is TOTES the daughter to these two gay men and definitely not responsible or mature in her own right uwu totally needs to be babysat by her two gay dads!!") in conjunction with people obsessing over other ships, and with Wriotheo and Nuevy, it started BEFORE the update happened and we actually saw any interactions. Like. I get it. They're two hot men and gay ships are hella popular. But with it occurring way before the update, thus way before any canonical interactions, it just felt like people were fucking desperate to make sure neither character could be straight-shipped with the two "children" they were actually working with (two full-ass adults, Furina and Sigewinne), which just drives me up the fucking wall. (And I can understand being uncomfortable with shipping characters that kinda resemble children, but I've seen way too many people go above and beyond any reasonable reaction to that sorta thing.) I want to like this ship. I really do. It could definitely be really good. But it's gonna take, like, a year or two, when we're in Snezhnaya and my frustration becomes a petty dumb memory instead of something I want to rant over. 12.) my MAKE IT STOP non-fave ship: Ready for me to burn another bridge? ...Can't stand Yae Miko x Raiden Shogun. Like- I see it, I absolutely see it, and I think it absolutely works, but. well. guess what? Guess that happened?? Shitty fans. Shitty fans that INSIST Yae Miko is canonically a man-hating lesbian and froth at the mouth if you dare even imply she MIGHT be the tiniest bit interested in a guy. I can't quite articulate how much I HAAAAATE when people try to claim their headcanon as canon and then treat other fans like shit for "violating canon" (that doesn't actually exist -- and god, even if it did, some of the behavior I've seen really goes above and beyond any realm of acceptability), and yeah. This is one of the biggest offenders. In general, I've noticed way more vitriol and toxicity out of f/f fans than any other kind of fan lately, and that is...ugh. again, I get it. Out of the ship combinations, f/f is probably the least popular in general and all that, and when you feel like your favorite stuff is getting passed over again and again for stuff you can't see the appeal in (trust me, I can relate, I've been in a LOT of fandoms), it's really, really frustrating. But also can we stop being shitty to other fans over subjective opinions? Fandom's supposed to be fun. I shouldn't feel like every other fan I follow would hate my guts over the pettiest of preference differences. (Yes this goes for more than just f/f fans, ofc, it's just those are the ones I've noticed the most recently.) !!! -> Please don't feel bad about liking any of the ships I listed ;v; For any reason-- I did Not put them down to shame anyone, and I don't judge anyone for liking ships and characters I don't like. Before I got extremely into Scaramouche (and then Dottore), Lumine/Lillian was my primary favorite character and the one I was focused on shipping with. She was also, like...the female character I liked the most, which I'm given to understand is an odd thing to say, I guess? Because western people don't usually like the protags of games?? Which is so weird to me. (<- Fresh off the Persona fandom where the Persona protags are also in my, like, top 5 characters of their respective games, and that is a hugely unpopular take for some reason.) (Though I guess I'm pretty weird in how I tend to play games and develop the protagonist's personality in my head + I usually prefer to play the fem character -> the fem protag of a game tends to be in my top 10 favorite characters)

For anyone curious, my preferences go m/f -> f/f -> m/m (least favorite), but that is also extremely arbitrary because of a few different factors, but primarily because I will write basically anything and everything. If I'm writing it and I'm having fun, then nothing bothers me, and I'll come up with all sorts of ships for all sorts of reasons. (Usually ships occur on a whim during rps, which then makes it hard to explain how I got to that result outside of rps...)

Oh gods. Dude, assuming that Shenhe and her sibling were born from the same mother, and that their father also tries to sacrifice the siblingalong with her, imagine how much worse Shenhe's rage could be? Like, it's already bad enough in cannon that the adepti had to essentially emotionally numb her, now you add in the equation of a sibling who was put in that same, horrific situation…

I could see Shenhe's younger sibling also acting as a sort of emotional support, helping quell her homicidal thoughts when they are at their worst. Maybe they do carry a grudge towards their father for trying to offer them up to the remnants of an evil God, but maybe it's not as bad as Shenhe's, so they didn't need to be numbed like she did.

Honestly, there's a few potential routes that could be taken with older sibling Shenhe. Lots of possibilities of how the two's dynamic could be handled!

and, as for chongyun's referral to shenhe, i think it's a cultural thing actually. i could be wrong because i am not chinese and have never been anywhere near china as a whole, but i think it's culturally appropriate for younger boys to call older women auntie. in chongyun & shenhe's case specifically, i think it is also a matter of their closeness. i also don't think they are bio-related, rather, i think shenhe just took up the auntie role in his life. i could be wrong about that too LMAO but yeah!!
