THE DARK KNIGHT FANFIC: Joker x OC (Part 8) TW: SMUT AND MURDER

Lottie twirled, legs leaving the pole as she did a difficult move called "The Devil's Elbow", using just her inner arm to hold herself up. She watched the greedy eyes of the crowd and saw lots of cash being thrown on the floor around her. She dipped, sliding to the floor and getting back up smoothly and flirtatiously. Tossing her head back and strutting around the pole, she noticed a man watching from the back, his face shadowed, but his dark eyes seemed familiar. Lottie finished her routine, grabbing a pile full of cash and leaving the stage. She passed her fellow pole dancers Crystal and Precious, and went to the back room where she had gotten ready. The room was dim, and she searched the piles of other stripper's bags for her own purse.

"Looking for something, doll-face?" she heard from behind her, and felt a leather-gloved hand grab her ass.

She sighed, smiling. "J, you were watching me dance, weren't you?"

"Guilty as charged," he said, twirling her around so she faced him.

She let out a small gasp. The Joker was wearing his normal makeup. She had never seen him without his classic grease paint and red smile, but she imagined him being even more dashing. Lottie ran her fingers along his scars, and he exhaled, kissing the inside of her wrist gently. "I'm so happy to see you like my little side hustle!" Lottie said, pressing up against him.

He laughed. "I like it, but think Maroni's men are undeserving of uh... you."

"You're jealous? But you know I never let them touch me in that way." Lottie smirked. "That's just for you."

"I just think they should know better than to touch what's mine." The Joker backed her up against the wall, taking out his knife. He grabbed her upper-arm roughly and pressed the blade in deep.

Lottie let out a hiss of pain but didn't fight him, understanding what he was doing. When he finished, she looked down at her arm, the warm blood tricking from the letter he had carved into her flesh. "J." She smiled and winced at the stinging of the cut. "You marked me." She grabbed a nearby scarf, wiping away some of the blood and bandaging it up.

"Righ-t." The Joker put away his knife, wrapping his arm around her waist and kissing her on the lips.

Lottie felt a shiver run down her spine, and she kissed him back without hesitation, feeling his rough scars against her soft lips. His hands wandered her body lustfully, and she moaned. His took off one of his gloves and his fingers slid into her underwear, massaging passionately.

Their embrace parted when they heard the sound of the owner of the Thrill's strip club walk in. "Hey, what the hell Lottie? I thought I told you not to mess around with customers in that way!" The owner said angrily. "You're a stripper, not a hooker. You should know better-" The man's voice dropped off when the Joker turned around to face him.

"Have a problem, do we?" The Joker said, annoyed. He reached in his inner-coat's pocket and pulled out a different longer knife that he flipped open with ease. The owner of the club darted for the door, but the Joker was too fast, catching him be the wrist and twisting his arm backwards till the man's fingers snapped and arm popped out of its socket. Lottie approached and the Joker handed her the knife. "Enjoy this, my dear. Have some fun."

    "Oh, I will!" She said with genuine enthusiasm. She stabbed the knife in the man's arm while the Joker stopped the guy from screaming by covering his mouth. Blood gushed from the wound, spattering blood on Lottie's pink sequined bra. She carved the words "HAHAHA" into the club owner's chest (the man squirming all the while), then finished him off by slitting his throat. The Joker applauded, and Lottie handed him back the knife, feeling the adrenaline rush surge within her.

     For a moment, her eyes darkened, thinking of what Bruce would say of he saw her now. But the moment passed quickly as she felt the Joker scoop her up bridal style and carry her out the back door. She giggled, feeling her face heat up. "You're the best!"

     "I know, doll." The Joker said, laughing too. He took her into the shadow of the alley, behind the strip club. "Now let's finish what we started." He smirked, pulling off her pink thong and bra, and undoing his belt.

     "Mm yess..." Lottie let out a sigh.

I go by Sophie! I’m 23 years old and I use she/her pronouns.

I have been writing fanfiction since I was 14 (yes there is an incredibly cursed blog full of kpop fanfic that I wrote in middle school still floating around on tumblr to this day). I first got into reading dark fanfics when I was 19 or 20 and I’ve been writing and posting my own dark fanfics for about 2 years.

This is an opinion:

Spider-Man

I just love how nuanced and developed this take on Spidey is. All are great in their own terms but I have personally felt more of a connection to this Spidey more than anyone else, with only Andrew Garfield's coming close because I just love that the whole mannerisms are just so real.

He experiences anger and sadness and so many other negative emotions. He doesn't have to be the happy one all the time because that's unrealistic. It has a more grounded apporach than Tobey Maguire's Spidey but not as much as Andrew Garfield, giving the perfect balance for a quality comic book movie character. It's not too campy but has just the right amount.

The main problem is the fanfiction writers treating him like a five year old when he is not. This is a developed and mature character. How everyone just treats him like a baby is beyond me. His last appearance had him try to murder a man with his bare hands (and a weaponized glider). There was no baby in that scene.

Next up it's Batman.

This one has so much potential. I don't have as much to discuss but I just feel drawn to it for some reason. The incredibly dark, emotional feel seems to just work for Batman and Robert Pattinson just nails it. The only other one that comes close is Christian Bale who unfortunately puts me off with two things. The design and the voice.

You can't tell me Batman sounds like he gargles with battery acid. Also... hockey pads? Really Nolan?

Next up... Percy Jackson. (Reminder that I am only putting in live action ones as I have not seen the Lightning Thief play but I have been told it's great)

This one is no contest.

While Logan Lerman was actually a perfect casting for the 16 year old Son of Poseidon, his performance was slightly bogged down by the movie he was in. Logan and the Lotus scene was probably the only thing I would ever like about the movies. Walker on the other hand, while we have only seen him in trailer as of right now, is the perfect Percy. I don't care about his looks because the entire reason PJO was created was to send the message that anyone, whether they have dyslexia or ADHD, can be a hero. The whole part of Percy's design doesn't matter, just as long as he looks like Poseidon. That's the only part that matters. Just like how Annabeth's design doesn't matter as the whole idea of it was that anyone can be smart, despite being discriminated against for their appearance. THIS LITERALLY MEANS IT MAKES MORE SENSE FOR HER TO BE BLACK RATHER THAN BLONDE. STOP BULLYING LEAH YOU RACIST NERDS ON THE INTERNET. NOT THAT I'M HATING ON NERDS THO I AM ONE AND THIS ARGUMENT IS LITERALLY TO DEFEND THE ULTIMATE NERD.

Anyway back to Percy. Walker is Percy Jackson. Anyone seen Secret Headquarters and The Adam Project? It's like seeing Percy come to life. Anyone who says 'Ever had your ass beat by a twelve year old nerd with an inhaler' in that tone is Percy Jackson. His entire mannerism just is the chaotic energy of Percy. Plus, Rick Riordan has said that he has encouraged Walker to embrace anger in the show rather than just be the stereotypical morally superior protagonist. THIS PERCY WILL SHOW EMOTION AND ANGER AND EVERYTHING. THAT IS PERCY. From the start, he has always had a slightly darker streak, from manipulating Procrustes into lying in his literal death bed to manipulating the tears and poison of the misery goddess (No idea where the fandom got the idea of blood bending that's not part of the scene)

Honestly, all I've heard from this kid is just Percy Jackson. He is Percy.

For the final one we have Superman and Lex Luthor.

This is the best ever Clark Kent I have seen. He shows both the alien side and the human side of Kal-El so well. Henry Cavill was amazing but we never saw really saw Clark enough. More of the Kal-El side. This is probably because of the lack of appearance due to all the weird problems with the DCEU which was disappointing as he was gearing up to take the new favorite spot for me. Welling on the other hand, had so much time, evolving and developing this character that is was just hard not to see Welling when I hear Clark.

Despite the lack of suiting up (Which was fixed by the Season 11 comics and Smallville Tie-ins) he managed to bring the essence of Superman into the show so well. His time as the Red-Blue Blur and The Blur managed to show both his heroic side and his darker side, adding a much more emotionally invested side to the character. Rather than just making him the morally correct character who can do no wrong and assumes the best in everyone like most people think of when they see Superman, Smallville's version shows him as a person making him have flaws, doubts, anger, emotion and so much trails.

His friendship and rivalry with Lex, paired with Tom Welling's amazing chemistry with Michael Rosenbaum, created such amazing on screen banter and added a new layer to his character, giving him a large parallel to one of his greatest enemies.

Both started off wanting to be just good. The main difference was parentage. Clark was lucky to get Jonathan and Martha. He may have had some hiccups with Jor-El but Jor-El at least wanted to give him a good path. Lex had Lionel. Lionel was abusive, via neglect and hate. Lionel was the real reason why Lex had no hope of becoming a hero. This came into play heavily in the earlier seasons of Smallville.

Smallville was always a three act play.

Act 1: Season 1-3

This one focused on fathers and sons

So much of this was about Jonathan and Clark, Lionel and Lex, Henry Small and Lana, Jor-El and Clark, even Gabe and Chloe for a bit.

Act 2: 4-7

This one helped develop the characters through their interactions with each other while building the Krypton sub-plot.

This was how Lana's relationship with Clark and Lex grew and fell.

This was how Chloe grew to be one of Clark's most trusted confidants.

This was about how Clark and Lex's friendship started failing.

All the while, we finally were introduced to actual characters from the comic books other than Lex, Lana, Clark, Pete and Clark's parents.

We saw The Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg, Green Arrow and Black Canary.

We were introduced to Lois Lane of all people which gave everyone my favorite version of the character, rivalled only by My Adventures with Superman and Superman and Lois.

We saw Brainiac, Bizarro and Supergirl.

This truly marked the end of the fathers and sons arc with Jonathan suffering a heart attack and Lex truly becoming the villain after murdering his Father, a fate he had tried so hard to stop in the earlier seasons.

Then we got the final act.

Act 3: Seasons 8-10

This was the act where Clark truly became a hero. He stepped out of the shadows as the Red-Blue Blur. He took on Doomsday. He finally defeated Brainiac. Lois and Clark became a thing. We saw his dark side as he became The Blur, with his trenchcoat and we saw him evolve past his dark side and then finally, he donned the cape.

This was truly the greatest version of Superman.

Now you must be waiting for the Lex one.

Of course it will be Smallville's Lex.

Michael Rosenbaum was PERFECT.

He will be the only Lex I ever see.

His take on the character was just so emotional and perfect.

His relationship with Clark and his slow descent to madness and evil but just perfect.

That day on the bridge changed his life but it also changed all of ours.

Everyone who saw Smallville knew that Clark and Lex would become enemies and yet it still hurt.

Let's be honest, this scene broke everyone.

This was when there truly was no return.

This just cemented what everyone knew would happen.

This was truly the greatest pair in TV history.

For My 1000 Followers

Hi everyone! I know it’s been ages but I’ve been getting a surge of followers lately that I had to have a look at the number. I was super surprised so I’m here to say:

I’m actually in my early twenties and have been pretty inactive in the Voltage/Kissed By The Baddest Bidder fandom for a few years now. Things got intense with my studies the past few years and I haven’t had much time for writing fanfiction as much as I wanted to. I even made a New Years Resolution last year to write more fanfics but that never happened.

I wanted to take a moment to discuss what’s gonna happen moving forward with this blog. When I first made it, I was at the peak of my obsession with Voltage Inc otome games and specifically, Eisuke Ichinomiya. I found Tumblr and realised it was a place to write fanfiction and fall in love with my favourite otome characters from games like KBTBB and Star Crossed Myth. Eventually, I was added to the Discord, Otome Fanatics, and became even more involved with the community, entering writing competitions, talking with likeminded people, getting to share in the love for the company and their amazing games.

Soon though, my studies were starting to catch up to me and I found myself having less time to write. Now, I’ve never been personal on this blog but I’m going to start today. My name is Olivia and I’m a postgraduate Creative Writing student who completed a Bachelors in Creative Writing. So, I’m pretty committed to my work as a writer. I wanted to make the best kind of writing that I could for these amazing characters that Voltage have fleshed out for us to play with. This does include drafting and editing like mad!

I still love Eisuke, he’s still my favourite character, but since the past couple of years, I’ve lost interest in the games, I hardly go on the app anymore. My interests have since moved onto characters from TV shows, movies, games, and book characters.

The one thing that I love the most is reading. My favourite genre is crime fiction and since April 2022, I became obsessed with Ian Rankin’s detective novel series, John Rebus. He’s a Scottish detective inspector who is always in trouble for something while trying to capture criminals all over Edinburgh. He’s a wonderful, morally grey character who gets put through the ringer more than once. I read the first book and was immediately hooked! I have collected the entire series plus some plays that Rebus stars in! I was able to read the entire series (24 books) in 8 months! I absolutely adore Rebus and plan to write fanfiction for him cause he’s amazing and my new husband! I highly recommend the series for anyone who likes crime fiction and Scotland.

My next obsession began at the end of December where I finally read American Psycho by Brett Easton Ellis. I fell in love with Patrick Bateman, which has transcended into a complete maddening obsession with Christian Bale. I mean, what an actor! And he’s so handsome! I’ve currently watched over 20 of his movies, including, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Equilibrium, 3:10 to Yuma, The Pale Blue Eye and many more. I may plan to write for Bale characters in the future but that’s still unsure.

During the pandemic, during lockdown, I finally started watching House M.D in 2020 and fell in love with Hugh Laurie and his character, Gregory House. Again, I had an obsession for ages! Hugh Laurie is an amazing actor. I also fell in love with the TV show, Chicago Fire and Taylor Kinney.

Arthur Morgan from Red Dead Redemption II stole my heart in 2018 when the game came out. I have since bought the game on Steam and fell in love with his character. There may be some fanfics for him as well that I want to write and post!

I’m gonna start rebranding this blog into a place where I can dish out my love for all these characters and reposting much more. If you have book recommendations then I would love to know what they are! I mostly read crime fiction and realist and occasionally, sci-fi and fantasy and poetry.

Eisuke and Voltage will still be in my heart and I will continue to write for him and Leon (who I was also obsessed with for a long while – I guess I just love sadistic characters!) and I may end up posting book reviews or posts rambling on about how much I love Christian Bale. For those of you who have sent in requests for Eisuke, I do plan to write those and eventually I will post them.

I’m still very grateful for all those who have followed me and have been here since the start of this blog. I know its been very quiet but hopefully that will change this year in 2023.

Mistake

Patrick Bateman x Reader

Summary: After finding out that you were pregnant, you only saw one option and that is to run away from your husband.

As soon as the doctor said ‘pregnant’ you knew you needed to do something. You knew how possessive Patrick can be.

You feared he might hurt the baby.

And so, you decided to leave him.

One day, when he went to work, you got back to your shared apartment and packed your things. You left a note behind, letting him know you needed to get away and that he shouldn’t look for you. And you left.

Although it broke your heart, you knew you needed to do this, for your child.

‘For the baby.’ you often said this in your head as you left. As you packed your things and as you got into the taxi.

You loved Patrick, so so much it hurt. But you also knew that if he was to flip, he might hurt the baby, and you couldn’t let that happen.

Patrick was an incredibly jealous person. If someone was to even look at you the wrong way, he would kill them.

If you imagine that possessiveness with a baby, who would take up most of your time, your mind always went to dark places.

You tried to convince yourself that he is better than that, that he would be happy with a baby.

But the dark thoughts didn’t leave you alone. 

Not even when you left.

If anything it got worse.

You were now all alone, with a baby under your heart and a husband you left behind. You couldn’t look into the mirror.

There wasn’t a moment when you didn’t think about Patrick. The amazing moments you had together and how genuinely happy you were. You were the only person besides himself whom he cared about. But then why did you leave? Why did your instinct tell you to get as far away from him as you can when you learned about your baby?

Was it fear? 

More than just fear. 

But deep down you were ashamed. Not because of your pregnancy or because of Patrick. You were ashamed that you felt the need to run away from your husband in a moment like this, you felt like something was wrong with you for feeling this way.

Moving into a new city had its advantages and disadvantages. 

You started using your maiden name again, but the gorgeous engagement and wedding ring you received from Patrick was always on your finger.

After all, you still loved him.

Eight months later, you were living in a nice apartment, with a healthy baby under your heart growing every day, bigger and bigger.

The doctor told you that you are having a boy. You were thrilled.

You got everything for him already and his room was ready as well. Although you didn’t have much money, you managed to buy everything he will ever need.

And soon, your son was born.

Beautiful, healthy baby boy.

Nicholas Y/L/N was born during the summer, July 5th.

The most beautiful baby you have ever seen. He was just the cutest.

Of course, you had been holding him for barely a minute but you already noticed features he got from his father, at least he had your nose.

Having a baby was harder than it seems.

Nick constantly woke up in the middle of the night, seemingly for no reason. He wanted to be held at all times, nurtured, and craved attention. And it was normal.

You barely got any sleep, but every single time he smiled, giggled, or laughed, you forgot everything else. All that mattered was his toothless little smile.

You stayed mostly at home, only leaving the apartment to the store once a week. Then you had to bring him back to the doctor so she could check on him. The doctor was wonderful. She explained everything and even talked to you about vaccinations and when you will have to bring Nick in for those. 

You started to forget Patrick, only your son’s eyes reminded you from time to time, but you started to be happy again

Happy with your little man.

But then things changed.

One day, while Nick was in the bedroom and you were making lunch, the doorbell rang.

If you knew who it was, you probably didn’t open the door.

But you didn’t check through the peephole, so, you came face to face with him.

He looked the same as you left him.

Handsome, hair done to perfection, his Armani suit didn’t have one crease in it and his Dior perfume caught your nose.

“Patrick...” suddenly all the fear you had during the nine months, came back at the same time. 

“Found you.” he simply said.

You noticed something in his hand. A piece of paper.

“Are you going to let me in?” he asked and you didn’t know what to do, you were frozen in one place, heart hammering so hard you feared a heart attack.

“W-What do you want?” you tried to look strong at you clanged onto the door.

You honestly don’t remember letting him in, and yet here he was sitting in front of you at your table.

He placed the paper in his hand in front of you

The paper was scrunched, torn a little at some places and the ink on it was certainly old.

“I read the letter you wrote,” he said pointing at the paper. “I read it over and over. ‘I can’t go on like this.’ ‘I love you, but...’ and it doesn’t make any sense. You were happy. You were mine. I bought you everything you wanted. Why did you leave?”

His voice was very collected. It was alarming, but you soon realized he is not there to hurt you.

“How did you find me?”

“Tim was on a business trip here and he said he saw you. Why did you leave Y/N?”

You took a deep breath, tears threatening to fall.

“I-” you were immediately interrupted by a loud cry. Your eyes widened as you looked from the door back to Patrick.

“A baby?” you heard him ask as you rushed out of the kitchen into your son’s room.

You got him into your arms and started bouncing him. Nick slowly quieted down as you turned and found Patrick watching you from the doorway. You heard the cogs in his head turn as he looked at the baby.

“How old is he?” was the question he asked but he didn’t move.

You were afraid to answer.

“Two months.” you ended up saying after a long pause.

“So, he’s mine.” you watched Patrick closely, but he didn’t move, didn’t show emotion on his face, but his eyes, his eyes said it all.

He was angry and concerned. You could tell suddenly the letter you left behind made sense to him.

“Let’s talk in the kitchen,” you said as you placed the now sleeping Nick into his crib.

Patrick moved back as you closed the door behind yourself.

With a shaky breath, you walked back into the kitchen and plopped down on the chair.

You know there was no point in hiding it now.

All you could hope for is that Patrick wouldn’t hurt you.

“I want my baby to have a fair chance in life, and I couldn’t give it to them if I stayed with you,” you said as he sat down on his chair.

“Why are you saying that?” his voice was dangerously calm and collected.

“I was afraid okay? I couldn’t stop thinking about you hurting the baby.” tears were running down your face, you felt a pain in your chest. 

Patrick sat down on the couch, letting out a long sigh. He was angry, but he was good at hiding it.

“I wouldn’t have.” he finally said.

And it shocked you.

He sounded so sincere, even hurt by the accusation. 

“I told you, many times, I could never hurt you.”

“I know. But a baby is...different. Nick takes up all of my time. I know how possessive you can be. I know how jealous you can be and what you can do. I wouldn’t want that to happen.”

Patrick leaned back in his chair.

“His name is Nick?”

You nodded once. “Nicholas Y/L/N.” 

“We are changing that to Bateman. He’s my son, he should have my name,” he said as a matter of fact. “I thought when you left that you found someone or you had enough of my... habits.”

“No, that wasn't why, and I’m sorry. I should have told you. But the scenarios kept on coming out of nowhere and I couldn’t...”

“Apology accepted. Now pack your things and the baby stuff. My wife and son deserve more than this...place.” he said looking around with a disgusted expression. You watched him leave the kitchen but you didn’t move. Everything was so fast.

After a long minute, you stood up and headed to your room, as you passed Nick’s room, you noticed the door was open.

As you looked inside you saw Patrick standing by the crib with one hand stocking Nick’s chubby cheeks. 

As you looked at your husband you soon realized what a mistake you made when you left him.

You were so scared before but as you watched the man who you married to be so gentle with your son, you knew, you can do this.

And so, you moved along to your bedroom to pack your things so the three of you can be a family.

To All The Fanfiction Writers And Fan Artists

I've been wanting to write this for some time now but I keep letting it get away from me. So I'm going to write it now:

You don't have to read, see, and own every comic book, novel, or TV Show/Movie from the OG creation in order to write fanfiction or make fanart.

Yeah, I said it.

If you wanna write fanfiction or draw a picture and it's your first day in the fandom and you have no idea who the characters are but you are just so awestruck that you're compelled, do it.

When I first started writing fanfiction and posting it here, that was...2018? At that point in time, I didn't own a single DC comic. Not one.

I wrote my first fanfiction, a reader insert piece, "Forging Paths" with my knowledge of DC from only two sources: the Batman films ft. Christian Bale and the Rocksteady Studios "Batman: Arkham" games. That's it.

All of my knowledge of Batman, Nightwing, Red Hood, Red Robin, Robin, Alfred, and everyone else, came from those two sources, and the DC Wiki pages--which I still use every single day for information.

Flash forward to now in 2021, I can count on two hands, how many DC comics I own, not counting the Green Arrow ones my brother gave me when he went to boot camp. I own the first three Outlaw comics from the New52 with Koriand'r and Roy, I own the first Outlaw comic from DC:Rebirth with Artemis and Bizarro, I own A Death In The Family, Robin War, and Under The Red Hood. That's it. I own 7, SEVEN DC COMICS. And yet, I still write fanfiction for the DC fandom, and I think I do a pretty good job of accurately maintaining characters but let's be real, I play pretty loose with characters because I like bending them to my will.

But I say that to say this: You don't have to be the number one fan of a particular subject and own everything in order to create something for the fandom. If you write a fic or create an art and someone says it's too OOC? So what? If it makes you happy, then that's all that matters. Write your stories, draw your art. Do what makes you smile.

"Forging Paths" was made for me. I wrote that for me, because I wanted that story to be in existence and I wanted to read that fic but there wasn't one out there. So to remedy my need, I wrote it instead. And I took a leap of faith and posted it, and found out there were other DC/Batsis fans who wanted something like that too. And that's what sparked the 300+ fics I've written, with both reader inserts and those without.

Do you think if someone told me my stories were too OOC, I'd give a monkey's left nut? Mmm, maybe a teensy-weensy bit, especially if it's a reader insert, like thanks Sherlock, couldn't figure out myself that the Batsis or reader interacting with the Batfamily is too OOC, but thanks for the help anyway. You're a real star.

But in all seriousness, at the end of the day, it's my work and I'm proud of creating it and putting it out there for everyone, even if I write the pieces with the intention of them being written for me.

Fanfiction and fanart is meant to be freeing. It's meant to be a place where you can create the most self-indulgent pieces out there. It's meant to be a place where you take whatever knowledge the comic or TV show or novel has given you and you make something more out of it. That's what fanfiction and fanart are. Fiction written and drawn by fans. Keywords: FAN, FICTION and, ART.

So make up your stories and designs with as many OC's and OOC creations as you want. Hell, write as many BIC fanfictions if that's what makes your flapjacks flip. It's all up to you. If you want something out there, put it out there. You'll never find what you're looking for if you don't take a risk here and there. So use the Wiki pages or own every OG creations for knowledge. Or don't. It's all up to you. Be as mastered or as novice in the subject as you want. The only thing that matters is that you're having a good time.

So create. Write, create, design, do it all.

And be proud. Because in the end, you're the one who has to live with it. So you might as well do something you love and not give a rat's ass what anyone else thinks and says about it.

Rules:

I am a minor. As such, smut can not be requested and can not be written. As a compromise, smutty themes can be used as overtones or undertones, often vaguely or simply eluded to. But pure smut? Not for a few months, which is when I’ll be 18. Sorry horndogs. 

Please request through the submission inbox, or my direct messages. Further more, be polite. Be clear. If I ask a question to clear something up, answer it. Don’t let it dangle. I will always ask if there’s anything else you so desire (a word count, any details) so please tell me if there’s nothing else or if there is. English is also not my first language. 

Do not request something against canon. I have written like that before and did not enjoy that. This means if something is considered canon, say Star Wars, such as a line of dialogue or something shown on screen, I would refuse to write you into it. I feel that it distorts the fiction so much you wouldn’t really be in it, and the characters wouldn’t be themselves anymore. Allow me to write you into the world as a side character, as something not shown directly but something that could fit into canon. 

Some fictional characters have different versions of them. For example, Movie Anakin Skywalker, and the Clone Wars Anakin Skywalker. Ben Affleck Batman, or Christian Bale Batman? Or even, Comic Accurate Batman? Specify for me. If not specified after asking for it, I will write the character with headcanon information pulled from multiple ‘canon’ sources. This will be referred to as ‘headcanoned canon’.

Reblog my stuff? Absolutely. I see all my reblogs. But take it an post it to a different site? No. Don’t do that. Maybe I’ll spread over to Ao3 one day, but for now, please don’t. 

Last one I can think of for now. But luckily this can be updated over time. I don’t write drabbles. I know! But just imagine all the times you’ve read a fic so good, only for it to end so soon. I like the thought of writing something both high quality and high quantity, which means I won’t be satisfied with anything under 2,000 words. Unfortunately, this may sometimes come at the expense of time. Especially if what you requested doesn’t fit into my current hyperfixation.

What You Can Expect From Me:

Fanfiction

Headcanons- While I’d consider all of my fanfiction headcanons, I’m referring to those little bullet point things you’ll see writers do. Here’s my deal on that. I won’t do romantic headcanons for the characters listed above. By that I mean you won’t see anything titled, “How Poe Dameron Would Cuddle”, or anything of that sort. But you probably will see just my own little headcanons for fun. Like, little fun facts. You know, “Superman’s favorite food is ____”, “Nines hates rats”.

However, I will write romantic headcanons for my OC’s. But that’s for later.

Further regarding fanfiction, I typically write angst. Not sure why, it’s just what I started with because I thought the plots were strongest and I wanted to see where I could take it. Like I said, no smut, but you’ll find allusions to it. Fluff? Yeah, it’s there. Hard for me to write fluff without a plot, but it does exist on my page. 

Original Stories

Most people ignore this, but if you see that I’ve posted it won’t always be something regarding your favorite character. I write my own little stories that’s basically just glorified, book length headcanons for a few worlds, but mostly the Star Wars galaxy. Don’t worry, there’s no need to pay attention to it if you don’t want. It’s something I do in my spare time besides x readers and oneshots. 

Spontaneous Posting

What I mean by this, is that unlike a lot of writers, I don’t work on a schedule. There’s no “once a week posting”, or anything like that. What I finish and give the okay to, is posted. If you’ve requested something, I’ll let you know that it’s about to go out. So sometimes a burst of fics may be pumped out in a week, or none will for up to a month.

Going by EST, I typically am most active at night and early morning. Especially in the summer. During fall this may change.

I rarely put out a post that is unrelated to my writings. If it is related to my personal life instead, it will be posted, but not saved. Documented and available, but never pinned or anything. 

FAQ:

Do you write queer pairings?

Yes. My earlier works usually elude to a female reader and it’s blaringly obvious, though it’s shifting into androgyny for ease of reader. I would prefer to have an androgynous reader instead of a set in stone male or female one. 

Am I reading a queer fanfic written by a straight person?

You are not. I am androgynous myself in terms of gender and unlabeled in terms of sexuality. 

Do you write for poc?

This question shocks me, though I’ve gotten it twice. Then I realized- it’s because so many writers forget the point of a reader. The reader may be described as blonde, or white, or thin, or female. You will not find that here. There will be no set in stone appearance for the reader except for mentions of whatever hair you may possess (apologies to those without hair). There will be no talk of ‘light skin’, or ‘curvy figure’. The farthest I’ll go is describing you as pale, if say, you were sick. Because any race or skin tone can go pale, you know? The only thing I’d do- rarely- is give you a real age. But only to further the plot if needed.

 My point is, ‘Y/N’ is not just a pretty white person with long hair. It’s inclusive to anyone. I’ll stand by that. 

Do you write headcanons?

Answered in the above section. Long story short, I’m working on it, but on my terms. 

Do you write song fics?

I haven’t before. Why? They make me cringe. I don’t know why. I’ll write a fic based on a song, or with undertones of a song. But those little paragraphs with the lyrics that aren’t even in time with what you’re reading if you were to read and listen at the same time? I don’t think so. 

Do you know what sex is?

I do. 

Will you have e-sex with me in the direct message chatbox?

I will not. 

Why do you write on tumblr?

I started writing just to share an old word document with over 300 pages worth of an Original Star Wars story. I tried my hand at fanfiction because, while I don’t read it often myself, I know a lot of people do. It helps them escape reality. And, I’m a pretty good writer, I think. At least I can only get better. I’m just one more person trying to put something out for people to enjoy, and maybe even rely on. 

Will you ever write for real people?

If I ever wrote a fanfiction about Christian Bale or like Barack Obama I think I would just disappear. I can’t do it. It’s like warping my own reality. 

How often do you post?

I don’t know. 

Do you have a taglist?

I did! But only for Star Wars. If you want to be tagged in something, let me know. But you have to be specific. Just for a certain character? For a certain fandom? A certain plot? Just og stories? Be clear. 

Dynamics I Enjoy Writing:

Man simps for person who almost wants nothing to do with them. 

Hero simps for villain or villain simps for hero despite the obvious consequences.

Two jokesters destroy some area while left alone together. May get along better than they would admit. 

Two people who are not expected to get along, get along well. 

Hero and villain are best friends but won’t admit it.

Basically if I’m left to my own mind most of my fics will fall under one of these dynamics. Not always- definitely not always. But I kinda like them.

Nope, I’m totally answering all of them! You underestimate my genuine love of questions. :)

1. What was the first fandom you got involved in?

I dabbled a bit initially--I wrote Newsies fanfic before I knew what fanfic was and technically, the first thing I ever published on FF.net was a Backstreet Boys fic back when they had a musician category. (I’m dead serious: Newsies and Backstreet Boys. What a combo). But the first fandom of significance that I was involved in was Lord of the Rings.

8. How did you get involved in your latest fandom?

I’ve always been into Harry Potter, even when I was mostly reading/writing in LOTR. My move from almost exclusively LOTR to almost exclusively Harry Potter was gradual, but I think it happened for a few reasons, the first being setting. I feel like I’m a more effective and natural storyteller in modern settings than in historic settings (or quasi medieval settings, in the case of LOTR). The other part of it had to do with canon. When I was writing in LOTR, I didn’t really deviate from canon and at points where I had to embellish on something Tolkien had left out, I always felt like it didn’t quite click or read as authentic. I found that I was a lot more comfortable in the Harry Potter universe, particularly with regard to creating things that aren’t canon, but seem like canon. It’s a more natural fit for me.

40. What do you struggle the most with in your writing?

There’s an author I really like who once tweeted something to the effect of “ugh, why do I have to write descriptions, why can’t my characters be floating blobs of feelings and dialogue” and I found that extremely relatable. 

50. How did you get into reading and/or writing fanfiction?

I think a lot of it comes back to the fact that I watched Newsies and loved everything about it except Christian Bale’s love interest, who had no personality and did not particularly contribute to the story and I thought “This needs to be fixed. I will invent a new character.” I think at one point, I ended up Googling something like “stories about Newsies” and discovered that this was actually a thing.

A Deep Dive into the World of Popstar Fanfiction: David Bowie

Before fans could simply post their fanfictions onto the internet, there were other avenues to speculate and explore mythological queer relationships between popstars. A wonderful example of a fanfiction story that was viewed outside of the internet is Todd Haynes’ Bowie-esque queer glitter fantasy, Velvet Goldmine (1998). Velvet Goldmine ultimately acts as Todd Haynes’ David Bowie-Iggy Pop fanfiction. In real life, the two were very close friends and collaborators. In Haynes’ film, however, they are portrayed as secret lovers through the made-up rockstars, Brian Slade (Jonathan Rys Meyers) and Curt Wild (Ewan McGregor). The whole movie is an amalgamation of the mythology of Bowie and the glam-rock scene of the 60s and 70s. When David Bowie first made his debut, no one had seen anyone like him. He was androgynous and otherworldly, fearlessly breaking out of society’s ideas of gender and sexuality. I vividly remember the moment I fell in love with David Bowie as an impressionable child. One day I came across his infamous 1972 Top of the Pops performance of “Starman” on Youtube and was immediately hooked. I didn’t know if he was a boy, a girl, or even an alien, but whatever he was I loved it. Bowie showed queer kids everywhere that it was okay to be different, and in fact it was cool. As Chad Bennett suggests in the article, “Flaming the Fans: Shame and the Aesthetics of Queer Fandom in Todd Haynes’s Velvet Goldmine,” “The numerous erotic tales of Bowie fandom, especially, are deeply interwoven with many of the narrative threads that so often run through stories of queer lives and desires” (Bennett 18). Velvet Goldmine explicitly shows this queering of an audience member through Arthur Stuart (Christian Bale). As a young man unsure of his sexuality, Arthur becomes immediately infatuated with Brian Slade (the Bowie character). He is later seen masturbating to a photo of Slade, for which he is shamed by his father for. Brian Slade becomes a queer role model for Arthur just as David Bowie did for so many. Bowie’s “gender-bending styles and ambiguous sexuality,” along with his uniquely spacey rock music, queered audiences and acted as a lifeline for queer kids all over the world (Bennett 19). These queer aspects of his legacy stem from his own creations as well as the adoration he received from his fans. Together, the original creative product, David Bowie himself, and the response from his fans, have thoroughly queered the historical canon of David Bowie.

I hope you guys aren’t bored of learning random facts about me because I got tagged by @perenelleflamelle and @siriusmaraudeers for another one of these! Forgive my lack of formatting, I’m on mobile and can’t get on the computer while my husband is thoroughly engrossed in EverQuest, that huge nerd. 😆

1. What would you want your animagus form to be and why?

Some type of bird would be amazing, so that I could experience flying. I definitely wouldn’t want to be anything too small, that would be a bit terrifying I think.

2. What is your favorite physical feature on yourself?

My eyes; I’ve always liked the color. They’re hazel, although I swear they are turning greener the older I get, and they’re mostly an olive green color now. I’ve got good lashes too.

3. What is your favorite personality trait of yours?

I like that I’m empathetic. I’ve always found it easy to put myself in someone else’s shoes and understand their point of view.

4. What magical career would you be interested in?

If I got to have a magical career, I’d want it to be all about magic. I think it would be so interesting to study magical theory, and invent your own spells.

5. What Hogwarts class(es) would you like the most?

I think I would like charms and transfiguration the most. They seem like the most practical for daily life in the wizarding world, and I think I’d be really into learning as many spells as I could.

6. How do you learn best/what’s your learning style?

For physical things, I think I learn best by watching someone else do whatever it is, and then attempting it myself. For learning more factual information, I like to read about whatever it is and then discuss with someone else.

7. What’s the last book you read? How’d you like it?

The last actual book I read (besides fanfiction which I read daily, haha) was “Drinks With Dead Poets: The Autumn Term” by Glyn Maxwell. I picked it up from the library because I had just finished a book by the same author called “On Poetry” and I was SO impressed with it. It’s sort of a guidebook to writing poetry but is basically a poetic work in itself. So lovely, and so helpful for someone who wants to write poetry. He seems like a fantastic teacher.

But anyway, back to “Drinks With Dead Poets,” which is a novel (although it featured some familiar characters from “On Poetry”, which was a fun surprise!) with Glyn Maxwell himself acting as the main character, who mysteriously appears in a small town where he is set to teach a poetry class, and it’s always Thursday, and every visiting poet is very famous and long-dead, and you’re not really sure if Glyn is dead himself or dreaming or in a coma or crazy or what. All of the dialogue from the famous writers comes directly from poems and letters and things that they actually wrote in their lifetime. It was one of the strangest books I’ve ever read, definitely not my usual go to, but I really enjoyed it. And learned more about poetry in the process!

8. Who is your hero? (fictional or real life)

My real life hero would be my grandfather. He passed away at the age of 94 about a year and a half ago, and he was very dear to me. He was a WWII veteran and a hard worker, and he never cared about what people thought of him, he just lived life how he wanted to live life. He could own up to his mistakes and change when he needed to. He was funny and very artistic and a little eccentric (he literally kept an orange that was like 75 years old and would proudly show it off. Thing was just a brown, petrified lump that had the faint signatures of himself and his college roommates, lol). He stepped into a fatherhood role for my siblings and I when our own father wasn’t up to the task. I think about him often.

I was going to come up with a fictional hero too but nah, I’ll just leave it at that.

9. What are your pet peeves?

When people don’t use a turn signal while driving. And when people are judgmental for no reason except to be a jerk.

10. What’s your favorite month, and why?

Maybe June? I like the summery temperatures and the green on the trees and the sunshine and the wildflowers.

11. What are your other fandoms/geeky obsessions?

Harry Potter is #1 in my heart, obviously, and also my very first fandom before I even knew what a fandom was. I also like The Walking Dead; the recent season is beginning to lose me but I’m so invested in my favorites that I’ll watch it till that dumb show gets cancelled (haha) even thought I’ve pretty much given up on my otp Caryl ever happening. I was never a Star Wars fan until Rogue One stole my heart. But I like to live in a “everyone lives and nobody dies” AU.

I like other geeky shows and movies but those are the three where I would consider myself a part of the fandom. Bonus fun fact, when I was a young teen I was super into Newsies (the Disney musical with Christian Bale!) so that deserves a mention I think.

Summary: What happens when a third person comes into your relationship with Patrick? Can they be both of your obsessions?

Ever since you realized who Patrick Bateman really was, you felt closer to him then ever.

“Move in with me,” is what he said the next day. And you agreed.

You lived in Patrick’s apartment for two years before he asked you to marry him.

Patrick said marriage is good for tax reasons, but you knew that he also had other reasons deep down.

He wanted you to have his name, and be his officially. After he saw at the office how the men ignored a woman once she said the word, husband. Patrick liked that.

He wanted you to have his name written all over you and the gold band on or finger to scare men away. After all you were only his.

Of course you said yes.

Your wedding was extravagant. Elegant and definitely not cheap. 

But Patrick wasn’t a cheap man. He wanted that day to be remembered by everyone. Even if he hated faking the fact that he cared about anyone else besides you.

His favourite moment was at the very end of the reception, once everyone left, it was just the two of you and the music. You slow danced with him. That was the best time of his life. Something he will always remember 

After the wedding, Patrick and you bought a house. A house that screamed luxury because as you were looking for houses, you didn’t miss the sparkle in Patrick’s eyes when he saw this particular one. It had a huge garden, pool and it was secluded, meaning no neighbors would trouble you. 

Two years into your marriage, you got pregnant, it wasn’t planned and you were unsure how Patrick would react to the news. 

You knew your husband was a very possessive man, if he was to share you with someone, you knew he wouldn’t take it easily.

And you were right.

He wasn’t angry, but he wasn’t happy either. However it did give you a sense of hope.

A hope he would get used to the thought before your child was born.

You tried to convince him telling him that a a baby is a proof of your love for each other. A perfection. Something made out of him and you.

He liked that.

When he really thought about it, a human made out of him and you he saw that as the most perfect being. 

During your appointment with the doctor he started to show up, when in the beginning he wasn’t interested the least to go with you.

Now, he had hundreds of questions about your baby, about you. The doctor answered all his questions and more. 

Then you learned that you are going to have a boy.

Patrick was happy. Almost as happy as on the day of your wedding. 

When you started to show, you noticed a few things with Patrick. Instead of going on his killing-spree, he would stay home with you. He would be afraid at first to touch the delicate skin, but once you reassure him (and force him a little) he would touch your belly.

And never let go after that.

Feeling the baby move would make it more real to him than anything else.

Not even when you went shopping for the little one’s room. 

The nine months went by very quickly.

And soon you found yourself in the kitchen yelling for Patrick to drive you to the hospital since it was time.

The labour was very long and painful. Patrick got bored in the middle of it so he often sat at the couch and listened to songs, but every time you yelled out in pain or even just whimpered, he would go from 0 to 100 panic real quick. He would go as far as to even yell at the nurses to help you.

But it would be all worth it as soon as you have the little man in your arms. He would look just like Patrick, but he would have your eyes and nose. 

Just as Patrick thought, perfection.

Patrick was hesitant to hold him at first, but once he does, he is a new man. No longer just a husband or psychopath but a father. 

You held our baby, talking to is slowly when Patrick sat beside you on the bed, although the fact that you were sweaty bothered him a little, when his eyes locked with his son’s it was over. Everything disappeared and only you three existed. 

The little one became the obsession of both of yours when he smiled at you the first time.

The moment you stepped into the office, Patrick had a feeling

Something he never had before

There was something about you and he needed to know what it was

He made it his mission to get to know you better

He asked people who he hated, just to know a few more information

Patrick soon became obsessed

He watched you every day, he knew your routine in the office

He knew how you liked your coffee probably better than your assistant

He liked the clothes you wore

He liked how feisty you were

If anyone dared to look at you the wrong way, you corrected them quicker than they could say your name

Patrick overheard a few people bad-mouth you

They questioned the work you do, your fashion and even your attitude

It goes without saying that Patrick took care of those people

And then, you started to notice him as well

Wasn’t hard since he was the most handsome man in the entire city

Of course Patrick brought you to the fanciest place
