@naivegh0ul writing about Mommy kink Simon has been rotting my brain like a parasite.
Like fuckin hell, you’d be riding him, his hands on your hips pulling you down as he thrusts up into you and his poor little head would be too fucked out and dizzy to comprehend the words he says.
His mouth open and eyes half lidded, he says “fuck mommy mmph, feel so good.”
And you slow down a little bit, smirk on your face.
“What’d you say Si?” You say tilting your head to the side, using his nickname only you call him, knowing it already makes him flustered in the first place.
He looks up at you with his big honey colored puppy eyes that are wide with confusion, trying to remember what he said.
When he remembers, he places his forehead on your shoulder with a groan trying to fuck up into you again hoping it’ll make you forget.
You place one hand on his chest and the other under his chin to tilt his head up to look at you.
You know what he said, you heard it loud and clear, you just wanted him to say it again.
“What’d you say honey?” You asked in the sweetest, softest pitched voice that had him whine in response.
“I-“ he blushes, his cheeks the prettiest shade of pink.
You trace your thumb over his lips.
“I- said mama.” He admits like he was confessing a sin.
“No.” you giggle, “close, but that’s not what you said Si.”
“Mommy.” He whispers breathlessly, and you smile at his honesty.
“I didn’t know you liked that Simmy.” You tilt your head again, smile still plastered on your face, your thumb now tracing over the blush on his cheekbone.
“Go on, say it again.” You start to bounce on him again, nuzzling your head on his shoulder into his neck, whispering praises in his ear.
He tightens his grip on your hips and his eyes roll back.
“Yeah mommy, fuck, just like that, please, fuck me like that.”

More Call Of Duty and how they’re in bed Brainrot🤩
Alejandro Vargas: he in my mind is wholeheartedly a passionate and sweet lover, maybe because he’s a sweet talker and flirty? Dunno. But, he definitely goes nice and slow, it will have you gasping and shaking from how deep he is. He’s another man that’s been around for a while and definitely knows the body very well and is very observant so he knows where to touch, kiss, and caress that will leave you clenching around him. He has a papi/daddy kink?? Something about being in charge- whether is be in the field or in the bedroom, it makes him feel so good. This colonel is also very jealous and possessive, no one is allowed to see those faces, or hear those nosies, or see that beautiful body for yours- that’s his. Alejandro is also comfortable in his masculinity and skin that if you ever wanted to be in charge, he will allow you to but, he will take charge once you’re tired.
Kate Laswell: She seems like a switch to me, someone that is willing to switch between submissive and dominant but very dominant leaning. She will be a very sweet lover in bed but don’t let that fool you, she deals with dumbasses on a daily basis from Shepherd to the stubborn Price, she is very pent up and needs to let it out at some point. Has a mommy kink and will only be called it, if submissive that night she will call you baby and that’s it. But, she’s an expert with her hands and will be more than happy to spend her time fucking your holes or giving a handjob, she’s not picky, just spread those pretty legs and let mommy get to work, okay?
Phillip Graves: A hard dom all the way. He is rough and hard when he fucks, he’s cocky and smug so, of course he is going to fuck you like the little plaything you are. That doesn’t mean he’s mean all the time, he does have his soft moments and will touch you like you’re the most fragile creature on earth and kiss you until you’re breathless. But, he’s not going to let you think you can get away with your bratty behavior so think again. A certified brat tamer and daddy kink lover and he will make sure you remember who’s in charge. He will give you safe words and aftercare- don’t worry but he will make sure that pretty dumb head of yours is dumber by the end of the night :). Oh, he also loves the free use card and will be sure to use it once given the green light! All you need to do is be a good girl/boy and keep those holes nice and ready for him, rub that little clit or put in that buttplug- with daddy’s permission of course. What daddy wants, he will most definitely get- he is daddy after all and all you need to do, is be a good and dumb little thing for him :).
Nikolai Belinski: Nikolai is a crazy bastard- you have no clue what he is about to do and he thrives off that! He is a gentle and slow man but he is also rough and ruthless, he’s a mercenary after all, so he is definitely going to go at it without mercy. There isn’t much that turns him on more than domestic things like you cooking, cleaning, and just tending to him because you want to. He finds the fact you want to be with him and do such domestic things for or with him so sexy because he doesn’t have many people that care about him so it’s nice. But, he is a nasty man, one that will fuck you in the garage at the base and make you keep quiet with your pretty face buried in seat of a chair. You will be quiet, right? You don’t want the whole squad to hear how much of a pervert you are, do you?
Alex Keller: He is a rough man in the bedroom, not afraid to leave marks and make your cry because he loves how pretty you look with tears streaming down your face. To him, it makes you look prettier. But, don’t worry about anything, he will always treat any bruise, cut, and rug burn. He wants his baby to be healthy at all times, just a little roughed up but not too much. He is very adventurous and experimental so he is always up to try new positions and new kinks, he wants it to be a fun experience for you both. Nothing is off the table if you want to try it because he is a strong believer that if both parties aren’t satisfied, then it’s not over and will make sure you’re both happy. Exhibition is one of his personal favorites, the thought is doing something so dirty and deprived in an open space where anyone could see you two is just so hot to him, he gets so excited when he gets the chance.
König: he in my eyes is a switch- now hear me out! He was bullied most of his life and had some challenges in the beginning of his career in the military due to his social anxiety and his massive height so he is always wanting to be pampered by the right person. He isn’t the type to really do flings or hook ups so he doesn’t have much experience in the bedroom and had a massive cock but no idea how to really use it :(. But, once he’s comfortable with you and truly loves you, he will submit and allow you to baby him but he will be more than ready to dominate you. Because he needs to prove himself- not to just to you but to him that he’s able to do this. He is a big giver than a receiver because seeing you in a blissful state makes him feel so good, he can come untouched just seeing your pretty face. He will be scared to be pegged or ride a dildo so you’ll have to coax him through it and praise him for being such a good boy :( .
Farah Karim: I believe she doesn’t care who’s in charge because to her, both parties are feeling good in the end. But, she will end up being more dominant because she just gets driven to make sure you’re getting your fill and won’t stop until you’re squirting all over her! The best with a strapon and you can argue with the wall if you disagree! She knows how to use it as if it was part of her, fucking that sopping hole of yours and having you mewling out her name like a good girl/boy does for her. She doesn’t really care for titles but being called by her rank, Commander, in bed, she will go crazy. Something about being given the power and control like a commander in the bedroom makes her feel so powerful and she just wants to demonstrate it for you. Is big on receiving so you will find yourself many times on your knees between her beautiful thighs and eating her out, her taste will become your favorite in the end and you will crave it. After all, a good subordinate craves the attention from their commander, right?
Rodolfo ‘Rudy’ Parra: His love language is biting- no, I will not elaborate :). He loves to bite you and he bites hard, so you will have many bite marks all over you and will have to treat them afterwards. The cute and quiet ones are the ones you have to worry about, he isn’t as nice as he seems. He is a dom all the way in my eyes, he loves the idea of being the one in control and having you all spread out for him and fuck you until you’re drooling. He loves being the one to make you cum over and over until you’re shaking and crying, he just has to make sure you’re feeling good! He is in between being gentle and rough. He doesn’t mean to be rough, he promises but he can’t help it, you just sound so cute when he’s bullying his thick cock into your hole :(. You understand, right? He wants to treat you nicely and show you how much he loves you, with praises and kisses but they always turn into dirty whispering about how slutty you are and bites that make you bleed.
Kim ‘Horangi’ Hongjin: he’s a bully in the sheets, mean and cruel once he gets you in the bed. He’s a mean dom that will make fun of you for crying from how overstimulated you are and will just tell you that you can take it. After all, if you couldn’t, your hole wouldn’t be swallowing him so easily. He is definitely a brat tamer and loves to ‘break you’ because you’re just so cute when you’re drooling and taking him so nicely after being such a brat. Nothing drives him crazier than lingerie, he loves seeing you dressed all pretty in silk or lace, your pretty body all dressed like a present for him to tear them off and use your holes :). But, don’t worry, he will be nice if needed because he does love you and want you to know that he cherish you so he will treat you nice and fuck you nice and slow when needed while he tells you how beautiful you are and how he needs you in his life because he lost a lot and feels lonely at times so having you with him makes him feel better.
Sebastian Josef Krueger: Krueger is another cruel and mean bastard that loves to degrade and bully you in bed, he cannot help it. You’re just so sweet and pretty, it’s like you’re begging to be roughed up by your boyfriend. He will be nice to you in the beginning, he will kiss you from head to toe while telling you just how beautiful you are before he throws your legs over his shoulders and rut into you like a dog in heat. Of course, he will make you feel better, just open your pretty little mouth and let him put his fingers in there, okay? Nothing is better than having you choke on his fingers while he bullies his cock into you. But, his biggest turn on has to be, somnophilla, that is if you’re okay with it. Something about fucking you in your sleep while he cuddles you just feels so right to him, and when you wake up due to an intense orgasm, he’ll make it feel so good that you’ll feel more than relaxed enough to go back to sleep.
Valeria Garza: She is a hard dom and a mommy kink fan, you cannot convince me otherwise. She will dominate you and make you feel all dumb when she calls you all types of names while you fuck yourself on her thigh. She is someone who thrives off control, she needs it in order to feel something as she usually feels nothing without control. She likes to make you do things to humiliate you and she loves seeing the guilt in your eyes when you misbehave because it makes her feel so powerful but don’t worry, she’s a good mommy and makes sure to give you lots of kisses once you take your punishment. Her biggest turn on outside the power dynamic, is something most wouldn’t expect- it’s reassurance. She gets all hot and bothered whenever you tell her that the iron grip on your hair is fine, or that those slap to your sex makes you feel so good, or even when you just tell her that she is the only one for you. She is so used to manipulating and using people for her own benefit that she often feels like she is taking you for granted and using you when she does love and care for you, so just hearing you reassure her that you don’t feel any of that makes her happy. She may be mean and cold, but she does love you and worry about if she is doing the right thing when it comes to you.

Mw3 spoilers (just a long personal ramble)
Hiii. So
As soon as the pre-release came out on, I hunted down spoilers, because I know myself and knew that if someone died and I got that information out of the blue, I wouldn’t take it well. Jokes on me, because I still haven’t been taking it well lol
I won’t talk about how Soap’s death was handled or the quality of the game. Plenty of smarter people are doing so.
I try not to talk a lot about myself and irl stuff on here, but will just say: I am very unwell, mentally. (Cue silence because that’s not surprising at all) Something I am very aware that I do, is that I latch onto fiction with my whole being, usually one specific character. For some reason, I always latch onto the character that ends up dead, usually in a way that make them only exist to further the motivations of other characters. It sucks.
So my hope for Soap has never been great, but for some reason I was still so shocked?? I don’t know, I tricked myself into thinking this time was different. Such an iconic character with so much good setup for great character development. I knew someone would die, but ow. To me, he was the element that made 141 seem more like family than coworkers. Soap’s interactions with the rest just livened up the games so much and made them all shine. Especially Ghost. Their dynamic, man.
Soap was the character that intrigued me enough to jump into the cod rabbit hole. It feels very hollow without him.
I keep telling myself that it’s silly to be so hurt over something fictional, and that I can just treat it as a mcd fanfic and move on, but nope. Brain’s stuck in the bad stuff. It’s a bad habit of mine to let something like this affect me so much, but well. Logic vs feeling and all that.
I really did find so much comfort in Soap this last year, that I severely needed. It feels a little like losing someone I know, someone who helped me through a rough time. I related to something in him and felt inspired. I only started writing after getting into ghostsoap, I started working out and I got back into art after a very long burnout. It may be fiction, but the impact is not.
So that was pretty much the worst case scenario of what mw3 could be to me. I always knew the risk, but, once again, ow. But there also seems to be plenty of good stuff in the game that I enjoy. I’m happy with the Ghost and Soap dialogue, the whole team working together and seeing Laswell and Farah and Alex and Nik. I hope I can be inspired by some of the new content once I’m calmer.
And I was worried they would ignore Ghost and Soap’s relationship after their development in mw2, but they genuinely seem to have gotten real close. It’s nice. I thought the shipping might scare the game devs into never having them appear in a scene together again, so that’s a plus.
Bottom line to all this is: I probably need a little break to get my head sorted. The grief is surprisingly real, it’s triggered some old stuff for me (haven’t been sleeping or eating, been stuck in some old thoughts). I’ll need to calm down and become a bit more normal about this again. Part of the grief isn’t so much about Soap himself, but also just the safe space that this account has been. The very nature of how the fandom is going to interact with Soap and Ghostsoap is going to change now, and man… I liked how it was, y’know? Could’ve used a little longer in that bubble. There’s going to be plenty of new fics and art, lovely stuff as always, but many of them will be tinged with grief, and I’m not in a place where that won’t break me a little.
I will hopefully come back to posting and making stuff once my brain settles down. I have so many drafts for fics and ideas that I hope I can return to. I’ve gotten so used to drawing these lads that I doubt I can stop tbh
The version of Soap that we love is already evolved from the games due to all the time and care the community has put into the character. The games may have killed him, but luckily, he’s fictional. We can do what we want, same as before.
I’m not even saying that I wish they hadn’t killed him. The games are crafting a story that fits their audience. It makes sense.
But I will choose to live in one of the many universes we’ve created for Soap, where he is alive and cared for, with a found family and a spooky lieutenant with a soft spot for him. Good for him.
Hope you’re all taking care of yourselves. RIP canon Soap (again). Thanks to Neil for a wonderful portrayal. And no matter where we go from here, thanks for a wonderful year of creating with you lovely folks. Seriously, some of the kindest people I’ve met in fandom. <3
Lastly: fuck you Kevin O’Reilly, but more importantly, sincerely thank you. (CallMeKevin video about mw2 got me into this mess. Otherwise I was keeping cod at an arm’s length, but he’s my fav youtuber, so I watched it. And here we are!)

Activision doesn't understand, how Russian language works
Spoilers to CoD MW3 below the cut.
@sofasoap @siilvan @cumikering @stag-beetle-wastaken @gamergirlbonestaskforce141riot be my guests.
First and most important: this rant is not aimed to 'make Russian culture great again'. I am not offended as a representative of some cultural or linguistic group. But as a member of gaming community, I feel, as if Activision... kinda didn't give a flying f about the gaming experience, that they are trying to sell me for 60 Euros. And I can't say, I like this feeling.
Second: I will be criticizing some approaches to language, that I will never criticize in fanfiction. Because you guys are doing it for free, for the sake of having fun. So I will be ok with you just straight using Google translate to write e.g. Nikolais lines in Russian. Because you never ask me to pay 60 Euros for the right to read your works. With that being mentioned, lets roll!
Activision doesn't pay attention to their own script, when it comes to Russian lines
Ok, this is a major issue. Because Activision sometimes gives completely different information in character line and in the subtitles. And it is not some minor information, we are talking about major plot details!
Let's just watch 20 seconds of a playthrough (time code 8:44)
Pay attention closely to how Makarov starts his monologue after Nolan says "Its an honor, commander". Makarovs subtitles say 'four years', when Makarov says something like 'shest let'. "four" in Russian is "chetyre", "six" is "shest`". These words sound nothing alike! And to check this, you literally need 5 seconds on google translate! Here, Activision, I did your work for you and I don't even ask for 60 freaking Euros! You learn these numbers on your second-third lesson of Russian 101!
Tumblr media
There are ways to fix this scene. There are even ways to do it without reshooting Julian (because ok, I get it, maybe he costs so much, that all our 60 Euros purchases would never help Activision to economically recover...). All you need is to ask him to record TWO WORDS!
Activision doesn't care for wording even in the simplest proverbs
You remember a saying "enemy of my enemy is my friend"? I mean, of course you do, even John Price remembers it! And you know, who forgot this saying? Activision did! Because honest to god, I was very happy with our new Yuri, until he produced this ominous linguistic construction... (time code 56:10)
Tumblr media
And if you think, it sounds just a tad off in English... Well, in Russian this sounds, as if a Colonel, a man, who spent tenths of years constantly communicating with soldiers, superiors, officials, started learning Russian... a month ago.
This is an international proverb, it exists in many languages! Now this is a safe case to use an automatic translator! It gives you a very simple answer.
Tumblr media
But for some mysterious reason, Activision writes their strange line, translate to russian and find a poor-working synonym so that Yuri doesn't say 'opponent' twice... And in the end it kinda still makes sense, but this whole phrase sounds so off!! You never choose this sick long, overloaded wording for a proverb, that you literally learn at school. They just make it look like zarin is already there and it affects Yuri heavily.
This is just one example, but in reality, almost every Makarovs monologue sounds very strangely formulated. I just got you one example, but believe me, this is a systematic issue here. And the strangest thing is that all their errors are so easy to fix, but they never bothered!
Activision doesn't care for how Russian sounds
Ok, this is not a rant against Julian Kostov. The guy does his wor absolutely gorgeous! He steals every scene, where he appears, and I have nothing, but respect for him. However... Russian is a complicated language. For real. It is full of long words, with many unfamiliar for European ear sounds. It is not only difficult to understand it - it is complicated even to imitate it.
Now apparently Julian knows Russian to some extent just because of his origin and age. But that doesn't save him from swallowing some letters, syllables, sometimes even big parts of words. And when it happens in almost every line of his character - it becomes an issue. An issue, when even Russian-speaker has to read subtitles to understand, what is going on in a scene with two Russian characters!
This whole scene is a nightmare (time code 1:42:54). Replaced letters, disappearance of parts of words, strange accents - they collected a bingo on this one.
And I dont blame actors here! Because on every shooting there is a director - a guy, who is responsible for how overall scene will look and sound in the end. There is always a possibility to find someone, who actually speaks the language and make them sit and listen! And if there are many issues with pronunciation revealed - you just come to your actors and say 'guys, you did amazing jobs, we are so happy to work with you. Now can we please do another shot and pay attention to these lines of yours?'.
And believe me, it is ok to have multiple shots for ingame cutscenes! Actors are ok with that! I don't ask for a perfect pronunciation, I just ask Activision to make sure, their characters don't sound as if they are speaking gibberish!
The most strange part here is that there are super-clean lines in game as well! Milena spoke with accent too, but she sounded clear! Some NPCs sounded perfect!
So Im sorry, but at the end of the day - this your most accurate Russian character by Activision. Because he chose to speak English.

Need John Price to sit me on his lap and hold my legs back by my thighs while he uses a vibrator on me. Burying his face in my neck telling me how good I’m doing while he looks down and watches.
Need him in full tactical gear too and me in only his shirt, panties pulled off to the side, and cute fuzzy socks while he makes me cum and squirt like 4 times.
That would solve all my problems, methinks.

Beware, spoilery content for MW3
I'm sitting at the counter of my kitchen, crying into my thoroughly weighed high protein / high carb (and low flavour) lunch bowl. And no, that's not the reason I'm crying.
Ever since I turned on my (back then) PS3 and started up this new first person shooter game called Modern Warfare, I felt a deep connection with this then mute character.
I was the F.N.G. The fucking new guy.
Long before I had the words (I only came out in 2019) I knew: That's me. That guy is more like me than any other protagonist I've ever played. Not much was known about Soap back then. And not much was known about me, the real me, either.
Fast forward to 2022. I am myself. More than I've ever been. And the ratings for the upcoming new MW2 are through the roof. I remember how much I loved the old games. I haven't played CoD in a while because the newer games weren't really for me anymore. Also life got in the way and you know how things are sometimes.
To kill some time until the release of MW2, I got a copy of the new MW (which totally went under my radar, because I was busy fighting therapists, health insurance, government agencies etc., not to mention the whole coming out) and was so happy when I saw a familiar face in the post credit scene: Soap.
I started to worry if the game would live up to the hype. But not only did it feel exactly like it felt back then. It felt even better. Mainly - for me - because it felt like picking up a part of myself I thought I'd lost. It felt like reclaiming a part of me that didn't quite feel like me back then (I suppose that doesn't make much sense to anyone but me).
Playing again as Soap reminded me of how far I've come. It was like reaching out to that younger person I was back in 2007, saying "see? this is who you're supposed to be. we made it".
Recently I've started to roleplay again. Spinning stories with other people, writing from the point of view of their favorite character. Writing as Soap, I want to make people happy. Because he is the ray of sunshine we all need.
And with the ending of the new MW3 we need it even more.
The point I'm trying to make is: I don't think people can ever overestimate how much fictional characters can mean to people. Sometimes they help us through tough phases of our lives, like a close friend. Sometimes they point out a strength in us we didn't know we had. And when they're gone, they leave a hole.
I now have to continue my way without Soap once again. Even though he will live on in the fandom. I'll still be roleplaying, writing stories, maybe putting together a proper cosplay.
In the past months, Soap brought me on a better path. I've started to workout again and to better take care of myself. Because life is now. I've even started to learn Gaelic just for the sake of it. Because I love languages.
I've always wanted to visit Scotland ever since I made my own money. Never did, sadly. Maybe that's something I'll do in the near future, too. Thanks to Soap.
That and getting a very funny tattoo to honour the memory, which I might reveal once I got it.
Of course my thanks go out to all the people who worked at the game. But a special thanks also goes to Neil, who brought our dear Soap to life. Who gave him a personality he didn't have back in 2007.
And who encouraged people to express their love for this character by sharing their work on his channel. Who even humoured us when it comes to the idea of a "less professional" relationship between Ghost and Soap.
Neil, you will never know how much this meant to us. You'll always be our Soap.

I loved the Cold War Campaign! So glad to hear some new thoughts on it (especially because people seemed to have moved on. Sad 😔)
A couple little questions I suppose:
•At what point of the campaign did you realize “this campaign is going to be awesome!”?
•Do you play multiplayer? If so, do you have a favorite operator?
•Do you have a favorite mini-game puzzle?
•Any standout quotes?
•And of course, how would you rank this against any other CODs (if any) that you’ve seen or played?
Ohmigosh. HELLO 😊
Literally my first official ask to do with what I post about. I’m EXCITED to get into this for ya. Excuse me for the caps.
I think the moment I realised that the Campaign was going to be awesome was actually pretty early on. I fell in love with the first mission but it wasn’t until what happened next on the airfield with Arash, that I knew things were going to be pretty cool. But boy, oh boy, Fracture Jaw had me HOOKED. It was from fracture Jaw, that i knew the campaign would be awesome. I say that because it still lingers in my mind. Fracture Jaw was mwah chef’s kiss. I’d go on and on about it but I think I’ll do a lil post for the mission itself some other time.
I actually have played multiplayer and I must say, I do like playing as Adler and Woods quite a bit, I will admit.
Also, mini game puzzles EXIST?! Why have I not heard of this yet? Oh MY GOODNESS. I'm going to try that out. I've only touched one arcade machine and I don't even know what it was called; was like ping pong though.
And yes there are always standout quotes. Take Hudson's "there is no truth; only those who you choose to believe."
I also love Mason's sarcasm of "oh look at that, we perserve the buildings but not the people", when Woods, him and Adler confront Hudson about the Greenlight nukes.
I went for the bad ending on a side note and went back to play the good ending. (bad ending was so cool btw.)
Anyways;
"I just want you to know that his little thing between you and me; it was always for the greater good.
You're a goddamn hero, kid; you know that? Heroes have to make sacrifices.
Which is why, when I ask you for one more, I hope you understand.................
It was never personal."
Just that whole bit of dialogue hit me real good.
And of course we just not forget about, “we have a job to do.”
And now, for the last question you’re waiting on to be answered. I’m only going to rank off of based of what I’ve played.
So, I’ve played MW2(22) and the New MW3 along with COD; BOCW.
Okay so Campaign first.
1. BOCW
2. MW2
3.MW3 being the lowest cuz of obvious reasons if you’ve seen/played it
But in terms of multiplayer……..
1. MW2
2. BOCW
3. MW3
MW2 is my number one in terms of multiplayer because I like my movement. BOCW is number two because it’s crazy fun even though the movement is noticeably slower than today’s multiplayer. The flamethrower and the death machine killstreaks are way too much fun paired together in Mount Yamantu with a smg. MW3 is last as it’s literally MW2 but with a fancier perk system. It could’ve been an update. I don’t think I would’ve passed comment or noticed if it weren’t for the campaign but movement is better in a slight bit.
Thank you so much for this ask yet again. I’m sure you were waiting quite a while for this post.

Hey hey 👋 I hope everything’s okay! What are your thoughts abt the new MW3?
have so many opinions so I know I must give a warning for spoilers
A/N: This is a summary and personal opinion, so piss off if you get hurt about what I say
MW3 Spoilers ahead
Started the campaign somewhat early in the day off the early access thing and I have to admit that as someone who loves to read the last pages of books for possible spoilers, I avoided the internet until I was able to play it myself. And oh do I have opinions.
Now, as someone who has been involved in Call of Duty since 2009, I was 6 years old (my cousins played it, but I have great recollection and memories from them) I have to unfortunately admit this one was bad. The storyline made no sense. The problems that were written for this part of MW were not resolved however they created even more problems. The way past characters were filled with real human emotions, the crying, the anxiousness and the evil and vile acts that were presented in OG times are simply thrown out the window this time around.
Yes we lost a well beloved character and to be honest, as much as the next person I am upset and saddened, however, the death was foreseeable. We know Soap, Gaz, Roach and Ghost die in the OG. So for me, Soap's death came as no impact, it was shit how they didn't give much grief around it as in the OG but it is what it is and now he is dead. Sorry it sounds mean but it's the truth.
Now, let's talk about Makarov and the 'No Russian' mission.
In the original, I remember that everyone around the world was in shock by how evil this mission was. I mean it, this certain part even went on international news and so many tv networks talked about how violent it was, just look it up. It is one of the many reasons why COD is titled a 'Violent' game. But this time around, the mission for me at least wasn't as shocking as the original. In the OG, the way it all came down, how it even had a warning before playing that certain mission was proof enough of how violent and evil it will be for its players. This time around, I truly believe they downgraded, Activision and the entire team behind COD went soft for this mission, and it is a reason as to why I believe many, including myself, find this reboot so shit.
The game went soft, there I said it.
Soap's death:
I won't shine a huge light on Soap as like I said before, the death wasn't something that was heartbreaking. However, I will talk about the reactions to the characters death. For this, I will compare the OG and the 2023 reboot. In the OG, we see and hear Price have such a huge reaction to his death, which is very reasonable. Ghost as well, I mean they all lost their teammate and a man who fought until his very last breath, someone they trusted with all. Reboot was shit, we don't see even a single outburst of any emotion that isn't heartbreaking besides their cold way of dealing with it. Take in consideration they know him well, he allows Ghost to call him Johnny, Price to call him sunshine and Gaz to call him brother, all this and not a 'SOAP, NO NO NO SOAP' ???? yeah, not in character. I think it was in retaliation to what the women in the COD community have given, we give them so much emotion when writing non canon emotions or actions of them that I strongly believe they didn't want to make it canon that these men do have more than a soldier mentality.
Much nicer moments:
Now, on a cuter note. I love the relationship we see between Price and Farah as well as the moments we got with the banter between the 141 men.
MW 2019, we get introduced to two young people who will become great leaders. Farah and Price. A woman who has so much potential and a man who also has immense potential in his field. Then, if we see how much they've grown, taking in account they met when both weren't in their now respective ranks, we can get a glimpse of how deeply their bond goes. "Old man," she calls him, something I found so adorable and how she is his option of snipers. Who do you choose for this mission, he gets asked multiple times since the reboot and most of the time, when needed/available, Farah is that answer.
The banter, we love to see it and I love it how in moments of darkness, we got a glimpse of the man with the skull mask being just any other man who says jokes or teases his mates. When Gaz says that Price's face could've melted(along the lines bc I simply forgot the exact quote), Ghost responds and it gives me the impression he isn't just a cold soldier. Something along the lines of "If you ask me it would've been an improvement," when his captain nearly died because of the gas, made me chuckle, its a glim of a man who does find humour in dark spaces but it makes other chuckle with him.
The way Price called Soap 'Sunshine' was to me adorable. I often call my friends honey or babe bc I am fond of them and to hear Price say it made my heart melt. 'Brother' when Nik called Gaz that, gosh the most cutest of them all. It shows these men are truly bonded by memories, trust and that life no one outside of that team will understand. 'Boss' Another cute nickname that Price was given my Ghost, a glimpse that yet again, there is respect but also friendship, something that will stay in the field, even if it isn't in the guidebook.
Overall:
I think the rating the game was given, which was 4, is very reasonable. Take in mind, Activision wants to expand into more games with the remaining characters. Some of the good guys in this campaign might become the bad guys, like the now criminal Cpt. John Price. Some villains are wanted to be the good guys, to have some character development. But I truly do believe Activision and COD in general should do a better job, it's lacking in creativity, and a steady storyline. I fear most gamers will abandon the game and move on and that COD will become just another shit game from the past.

About the scene you just talked about:
I actually saw it (or interpretated it) as less problematic because Samara was part of Farahs group and therefore a freedom fighter, then she was forced to do you know what by Makarov. Makarov used not only the negative stereotypes that exist against middle eastern people, but also the fact that Farahs group is one of his main enemies in Urzikstan and this is where I think that COD actually did a good job i guess? Because stuff like this happens, especially in these times of the war in gaza, middle eastern (also mainly muslim people, but idk if Samara is explicitly muslim) people have it harder to fight against stereotypes and media are quick to blame them and use these stereotypes (which was also shown in mw3 with the news thing). Idk if it was their intention or if I just optimistically interpretated it like that, but I thought the scene was like a depiction of what happens in real life, short: middle eastern people being negatively used to push an agenda which is easy because of the existing stereotypes
I hope i was able to explain it well and not offend anyone. I would love to hear more opinions on this :)
(there are spoilers below)
i can understand that they may be trying to emulate real life, but personally i think regardless of samara's ties to farah and her being a former ulf soldier, they should've chosen a different way to go about the mission. yes, it could be understandable for makarov to want to frame farah and urzikstan, and that it could be playing off of real stereotypes and experiences that middle eastern people go through, but i don't think activision put that much thought into it and i don't think they care.
the original no russian mission involved makarov framing america despite the 141 (also his enemies) not being american, but activision chose to change that to specifically frame the middle eastern country for terrorism (mirroring a 9/11 style event) and kept that in during a time when there is actual genocide happening in palestine and islamophobia is growing back to a post-9/11 high in the us, the country they're based in.
and honestly, the change really cheapens makarov's character for me. he's supposed to be some big, menacing villain who is at the forefront of his movement and willing to do whatever it takes to achieve his goal, and in the og games we see that in the way he carries out the no russian mission himself. in this game, he does what? threatens samara then jumps out of a plane and that's it? the worst he does is give a speech explaining why he's doing it - it's his men that do most of the work forcing her to carry out the hijacking.
he's also supposed to be the 141's big bad, their mortal nemesis, but there's more emphasis on the way he and konni group terrorize and kill farah's friends and soldiers - dena and samara, in particular - than when he shot soap, a main character, and i think that's very telling.
if it were another gaming company that put more thought into their plot and considered the nuance of their storylines, maybe i could be convinced it was well intentioned, but activision makes military games. these game are meant to be military propaganda above all else, so i'm not willing to give them that kind of grace. i think it was a deliberate choice for an american company to not have their villain frame america like in the original game and instead fall back onto the same, tired "let's frame the middle eastern people as terrorists storyline" that's in every pro-military game and movie, during a time when there is a humanitarian crisis happening in palestine.
