This might be a controversial opinion, but I'm not always the biggest fan when people write Cass as the Perfect Child™ while also writing her as someone who uses her skill in reading people against what they say they don't want and telling everyone when they are lying.

For example, if she knows someone is lying, she just tells everyone around that they are. I don't enjoy reading that all the time if it isn't written in a way that is useful to the plot because it's just intrusive and non-consensual. People lie for a lot of reasons. If she's always written as someone who constantly outs someone, it's eventually going to build resentment and be detrimental in relationships. Also, it's just rude? Idk I get that it's fanfics but it just makes me feel weird, and why wouldn't anyone around her teach her not to do that?

Also, using her ability to read peoples body language in fanfics often lead to her convincing people to do what they "actually want" and that just puts me off sometimes too. Again, that's non-consensual. If someone says they don't want to do something verbally, even if their body language is telling her they want to do something she shouldn't be trying to force them. They have reasons for saying no and even if those reasons aren't always good or healthy, no still means no and she shouldn't be trying to force that? I often see her written as pushing by asking over and over, using puppy dog eyes, acting cute, calling them out on the lie, etcetera and it's just off putting from the consent thing sometimes.

I see this a lot and it's just a whole problem for consent and being rude, in my opinion. Also baffling how no one calls her out on it.

Its during a shower that Dean gets the idea.  If they can stop demons possessing them with a tattoo surely there is something similar to prevent angels.  He hurries through washing to bring the idea to Sam and Cas.

It takes them 2 months, but they figure out a combination of sigils to override consent, but Dean has an extra question.

“Is there some way of excluding you from the spell?”

Puzzled, Cas looks up, “why would you do that?”

Dean shrugged, “in case of emergency.  I’d like to know that if something happens to you there is a backup vessel for you to jump into.”

Stunned isn’t the word for what Cas is.  “You’d let me possess you?” he whispers.

“Of course, Cas.  If I can’t trust you with my body who can I?”

“Dean, I- you don’t know what this means to me.” Dean just pats Cas on the shoulder.

back on my phantom piper nonsense but like. I WISH it was clearer on why exactly jamie had a shard implanted when two's so set against them, and was able to talk his way out of having one himself (without letting on that he's not human)

like. the implant itself clearly wasn't consensual on jamie's part, given that he had to be held down and sedated. and yet he's both aware that he has the shard, obviously, and that two /doesn't/. but he doesn't seem to have a problem with that, at least not while the shard is implanted and potentially affecting him. it's definitely convenient for two to use him as a case study in trying to prove that the shards should be investigated, but that just. never comes up.

and that's such a shame!!! because it's /interesting!!/ especially given that this is post-evil of the daleks, i.e. their big breakdown over two using and manipulating jamie rather than telling him what's going on. two being able to avoid having a shard himself but not sparing jamie just seems odd - but if they'd made the decision to investigate in tandem by letting jamie have a shard, then why did jamie fight the operation? what did that achieve? on the flip side, if he didn't agree to it, he's super calm about the whole thing compared to evil - so either he's wildly ooc and lacking agency, or he's had a major shift in his boundaries and how much he's willing to challenge two. and the audio never takes the time to show us any of that.
