𝗝𝗲𝗴 𝘀ø𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗶 𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗱. En relation til et elsket menneske er gået i hårdknude og mistet. Af alle de sædvanlige grunde, når relationer går i hårdknude og mistes:

Forskelle i opfattelse.

Forskelle i behov.

Forskelle i måder at kommunikere på.

Gammel frygt på nye flasker.

Skjulte sår, som springer op.

Forskelle i måder at håndtere blødende sår på.

Egoer, der tror, de skal kæmpe for at være gode nok.

Andet.

Alt det sædvanlige, når relationer går i hårdknude og mistes. Og jeg sørger.

Jeg kan normalt finde ud af, hvad mit sind åbenbart (for det meste ubevidst) tænker, siden jeg føler, som jeg gør. Det er praktisk, for når jeg ved det, kan jeg undersøge, om jeg er offer for en illusion, eller den følelse, der lige nu er i mig, faktisk er hensigtsmæssig?

Det er der mange følelser, som er. De ruster min krop til at møde den udfordring, som sindet mener står for døren. Jeg bliver måske nervøs før en koncert, det øger koncentrationen. Jeg bliver vred over en grænseoverskridende adfærd, det gør mig i stand til at sige fra på en tydelig måde. Og mange andre ting. Følelser er "praktiske", også de "negative".

Men sorgen? Hvad skal jeg med den? Hvad skal den ruste mig til?

Freud, Bowlby, Worden, Stroebe og Schut, og en hel masse andre kloge hoveder har bedrevet omfattende forskning i og beskrivelse af sorg. Det står der noget om i nogle tykke bøger. Men jeg interesserer mig kun sjældent for tykke bøger. Jeg interesserer mig kun sjældent for forskning - som jeg ikke selv har udført!

Der er intet som slår egne iagttagelser. 𝗗𝗲𝘁, 𝗷𝗲𝗴 𝗵𝗮𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝗴𝗻𝗲 ø𝗷𝗻𝗲, 𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗷𝗲𝗴, 𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘁.

Hvad skal jeg med sorgen? Hvad skal den ruste mig til?

Som udgangspunkt føles sorg håbløs, som en kamp imod et vilkår (nemlig tab), som er endegyldigt, hvorfor kamp er meningsløs?

Svaret ligger, i dette tilfælde, i sorgens årsag.

Savner jeg? Ja, det gør jeg blandt andet. Der er tale om et dejligt menneske og en meget højt værdsat relation, som jeg nød at være i. Men det er ikke det egentlige problem. Savn har ikke så meget bid i mig, jeg savner sjældent eller aldrig. Jeg er nemlig bevidst om, at savnet bygger på en illusion: 𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗵ø𝘃𝗲 𝙣𝙚𝙩𝙤𝙥 𝙙𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚 for at kunne være hel. Det er ikke sandt, og jeg 𝘷𝘦𝘥 det, derfor 𝑓ø𝑙𝑒𝑠 det også sandt.

En fantastisk beskrivelse af sorg, som jeg så for mange år siden, er:

"𝙎𝙤𝙧𝙜 𝙚𝙧 𝙠æ𝙧𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙚𝙙, 𝙨𝙤𝙢 𝙚𝙧 𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙩 𝙝𝙟𝙚𝙢𝙡ø𝙨"

Det giver så meget mening, og det er ganske givet meget ofte kilden til sorg, at der i den sørgende er en 𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘴𝘦 af, at kærligheden er blevet hjemløs.

Men det er ikke præcist nok. Jeg er fuld af kærlighed, og mærker den for mange mennesker. Det er ikke helt det, men vi nærmer os!

Så hvad er sorgens årsag? Det, jeg sørger over, er

𝙆æ𝙧𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙚𝙙, 𝙨𝙤𝙢 𝙞𝙠𝙠𝙚 𝙣𝙖̊𝙧 𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙢

Den elendige menneskelighed, den sindets fejlbarlighed, den kødets skrøbelighed, som igen og igen og hele tiden stiller sig imellem. Standser den altid, i dybet, kærlige intention, forvrænger den til ukendelighed og brøler den ud i verden som et kontaktløst smertensskrig, som ikke kan andet end at trække mere smerte med sig.

Jeg sørger over dette ulykkelige menneske, og jeg ulykkelige menneskes indespærring og 𝗮𝗱𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗮 𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿, 𝘀𝗼𝗺 𝗲𝗿 𝗞æ𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗱. Af forskelle i opfattelse, forskelle i behov, gammel frygt, skjulte sår og alt det andet, som er menneskelige vilkår. Og som gør så ondt, fordi vi 𝘦𝘳 Kærlighed. Kærlighed, som vi ikke kan finde ud af at leve. Dette menneske og jeg, i denne situation, som det er nu. Og alle andre mennesker, af og til, eller ofte. Fordi det er et vilkår.

Jeg sørger over situationen, og jeg sørger over vilkåret.

Hvad skal jeg med sorgen? Hvad skal den ruste mig til?

Jeg fandt ud af, for nogle dage siden, at 𝗷𝗲𝗴 𝗶𝗸𝗸𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗵ø𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝘀ø𝗿𝗴𝗲. Jeg kan bare holde op. Det kan jeg ved, med en viljesakt, at hæve min bevidsthed. Jeg kan zoome ud fra situationen, jeg kan vælge at se, at mit liv var lykkeligt indtil bruddet, og også før relationens begyndelse, og at det derfor umuligt kan være "ødelagt" nu. Jeg kan bruge noget af alt mit bevidstheds-"grej" - og så opløses sorgen straks. Den 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘴 ikke, den 𝘰𝘱𝘭ø𝘴𝘦𝘴, for den har ikke længere en overbevisning at leve af. Problem løst!

Men det vælger jeg ikke. For der er ikke tale om en afdød. Der er tale om et levende menneske, og jeg er et levende menneske, i stadig bevægelse. Sorgen underviser mig i menneskelighed. Den driver mig til handling, i det indre og, så begrænset, som det nu kun er muligt, i det ydre.

𝗝𝗲𝗴 𝘃æ𝗹𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗸𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗱. Jeg vælger at lade sorgen være i mig, uden at betvivle den opfattelse, som udløser den. Jeg vælger at kæmpe, om ikke andet så i mig selv, for at Kærlighed når frem. På trods af, at jeg kun er et menneske.

𝗝𝗲𝗴 𝗲𝗿 𝗻ø𝗱𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗱𝘁 𝗼𝗴 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁, 𝗮𝘁 𝗷𝗲𝗴 𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗸𝗲, 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝗸𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗴ø𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗴 𝘀𝘁ø𝗿𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝘁.

Det er det, jeg skal med sorgen. Det er det, den skal ruste mig til: at vokse til at blive den sandere udgave af mig, som altid venter, uanset hvor mange mindre sande udgaver, jeg lader bag mig.
