Danny watched with a smile hidden behind his mug of hot cocoa his new family. Originally he was only going to mess with them a little, since he wanted to keep his civilian live he gained with them but at the same time wanted to kind of provoke them to tell him about their night time jobs on their own.

Not like he could just flat out tell them he knew about their vigilantes lifes and that would be embarrassing to explain.

It's not every day that Danny's powers fluked on him, but with the stress of the past months, it happened. Right at a moment, he had to be clumsy and trip over his own feet and accidentally phased through a grandfather's clock, finding a hidden passage. Well at least he learned that way that Batman hadn't placed him with some other rich fruitloop that wasn't his godfather but well... with Batman himself and his family out of mask.

Yeah no, he did not want to explain that and hoped they would do that themselves. But apparently, they took Danny's statement of wanting a normal life a bit too serious.

Which brought him back to his current entertainment in the form of messing with his siblings.

"I don't get what the problem is guys. It's just merch." He chuckled slightly at the face Damian was making. While Jason chose to kick Tim under the table.

"Soooo how much merch on Red Robin do you have with this shirt now?" Dick asked instead with a bright smile, Danny still hadn't figured out how to tell what emotion he hid behind them sometimes.

"I think this is my third shirt of him." Danny mused, placing his cup back on the table and tapping his lip in a thinking motion. "Though I was going to pick up a couple of custom-made jackets of Red Hood and a Nightwing plush later today."

He acted like he did not hear the triumph like hiss of 'yes' from Jason as well as the very upset huff of Damian.

He just grinned at the amusement about how they apparently were competing over how much merch he owned of each of them.

When he found a Robin figure and several Robin pins mysteriously placed on his desk the next morning, he broke out laughing. Yet still just to mess with them gushed about his newly gotten merch to his family while sharing a knowing look with Alfred who knew he was just messing with them.

If there was a surprising amount of Batman merch, suddenly mixed into what he already owned the following week without his knowledge. Well, he wasn't going to complain about free stuff.

But he still would get a good laugh out of their reactions on the day he decided to full on dawn every piece of Batman merge instead of theirs.

Damn I just watched a video about the laws surrounding refusing orders in the us military (because of the whole la protests thing) and can i say that I knew shit was fucked up but I didn't realize how much?? Like. Realizing how baked in blind obedience is into the literal laws even before the culture in the us military is a bit scary and but also explains some things tbh.

Like. I know a bit about that particular bit in German law bc given *gesticulating at German history* there've been some adjustments made after the Nürnberg trials.

(sidenote I will never get over how funny it sounds how english speaking ppl say Nürnberg. Nuremburge. Numburg. Numbörg. Nurembörg. It sounds so funny. Whatever word you're saying it's not the name of that city but keep going.)

And I'd have to make another deep dive to say for sure sure, but as far as I know you are not breaking the law when you refuse to obey or give an order that would hurt human dignity (it sounds so wrong to translate Menschenwürde like that) or make you commit a crime. Even if you're in the end wrong about the lawful/lawlessness of the order, if it's reasonable for you to have believed so, it's still not breaking the law.

That's not the case in the us military appearently.

Which is insane. If you refuse an order based on the assumption that the order is unlawful, you get courtmarshalled (idk how you write that). And then, if you're lucky, it turns out you were right, you still have that whole process. Oh if it turns out you were wrong? Disobyed orders with all the consequences (which appearently in wartimes can still include death??? I forget sometimes that the death penalty is a thing in the us. Mind you not a usual consequence but that's there at all is insane to me)

Like what issss that system. Obedience to orders is the highest order appearently. Wtf.

SENATION LORE PT 5: UNDERWATER CHRONICLES

📍 set in the early vintage au ( 1900s )

LITERALLY A FEW CENTURIES AGO IN A WORLD OF FAIRYTALES AND LIKELINESS . . . there lived land people and underwater people. a siren with the name sen was one of the underwater citizens. she is the alluring and dangerous queen of the sirens. and with her, are her two most loyal siren girls. they three are locked in fo real.

one night, the queen decided that she was bored from sitting on the coral throne. so she decided to do the thing she is best at. thus she journeys to the surface of the water and rests on a rock to gaze over the horizon and inhale land people air.

it's so foggy and mysterious omg silent hill type shi. anyways, as siren sen chills, she spots a ship with the name @syverse, and she knew it was her time to shine and finally get some job as queen done.

what could that job be? you wonder .....

haha. that's simple! what do sirens do? lure sailors with their songs, silly billy!

"𝓪𝓪𝓪𝓱𝓱 𝓪𝓪𝓱𝓱𝓱... 𝓼𝓪𝓵𝓿𝓪𝓽𝓸𝓻𝓮..." the mermaid sang a tune of lana del rey and then BOOM! sen has lured sailor @shigarakislaughter into the waters. she now has him wrapped around her webbed fingers.

then he drowns and dies. rip lol

just then .. a beautiful mermaid from faraway land heard the news of her manz dying because of a siren's allure and she wailed for the loss of him.

such a sad story...

@wakeupmaddie wants revenge. so she seeks her girls and they discussed about this....

after discussing, they concluded that they must avenge their kin. so they set out from the beautiful waters to the dark deep waters where their enemies, the sirens, lives. oh boy this about to be KREYZI

likewise, the sirens have heard of the incoming mermaid revenge of the drowned sailor and they too, prepared for underwater war against each other.

idk how mermaids fight so let's skip that...

and VOILÀ!

the queen and her sirens have won the fight... and the mermaids lost. thus they became prisoners of the siren queen. what a tragic end... mere mermaids choosing to fight against the evil siren queen in their dark domain where they are strongest.

it seems the mermaid ladies needs to step up their game some other time and revenge could wait.

never mess with siren sen, for she lived the life of king, warrior, asian deity, witch, and now a siren.

Prompt 3 - Assembly

“Do not take one more step towards me, Potter. I do not want you here,” Regulus snarled at him. James ignored him and came to a stop right beside him. 

“What is your problem? What have I ever done to you for you to hate me so much?” James questions him, peering into his face as though he could decipher the answers from his non-existent expressions. It took Regulus a moment to collect himself. He hasn’t been this close to Potter alone for years. It’s a heady feeling. He shakes his head and storms off again. James jogs after him to catch him up. 

“Hey! I asked you a question!” James grunts as he grabs ahold of Regulus’s arm and spins his around. Regulus, completely blindsided by the move, spins into his arms and James, taking the opportunity, locks them around Regulus like a cage. “That’s better now you can’t run away. Now I’m going to ask again. What is your problem with me?” 

Regulus writhes against him, trying to get free of the iron grip James has on him. James responds by grasping his forearms, closing the circle of his arms and pressing Regulus tighter against his chest. 

Regulus is trapped. His heart is thundering in his chest. He is certain James must be able to feel it. He breathes in and his senses are full of James. It’s oddly calming. He takes another deep breath and lets his forehead drop against James’s hard-muscled chest. 

“I don’t,” Regulus said, defeated. 

“Don’t what?” James sounded almost shocked that Regulus had even said anything. 

“I don’t hate you,” He sighed, knowing that eventually James would put two and two together and be disgusted by him. 

James’s arms around him soften, and before he knows it, his cage has turned into an embrace. 

“You’re a weird one, you know that?” James chuckled, finally releasing him. “Is there really no other way to get that locket than to send Sirius in?” 

“The only alternative is me, but if I’m caught the Dark Lord will know I survived the attack at Lestrange castle and will hunt me down. At the moment, he thinks I’m dead. I had Rorbey see to that. I know his secret and believe me when I say I am the most important person in this war. Without me, he will win.” He was back to business, taking a step away from James. He needed distance. His skin was still tingling from all the places James had touched him. 

“I believe you,” James said, his face showing nothing but trust. “So when do we do this?”

“We?” Regulus asks, confused. In his plan, only Sirius would go to Grimmauld Place. 

“I’m going,” James said, crossing his arms over his chest and giving him a try and stop me look. Regulus ran his fingers through his hair and gritted his teeth. 

“Two people have more chance of getting caught.” He told James. 

“Two people also have more eyes than one,” James countered. “Plus, Sirius and I have pulled off countless assignments where stealth was needed. I have a few tricks up my sleeve as well, you know,” James winked at him and a shockwave rocketed through his body. He had to force his body not to tremble with it. 

“This isn’t some silly prank on Slytherins, Potter. This is real life or death,” He really didn’t like the way this conversation was going. 

“Just trust me, okay? We’ll get you the locket.”

Regulus looked at the strange assembly before him. His brother, his brother’s boyfriend, lover, mate? Whatever. Their loud friend, who is only there because he won’t leave, and James Potter, with a dumb, determined smile on his face. 

“Just, don’t be twats,” Regulus’s final words to the four would-be robbers. Remus and Marcus would be staying outside the house, keeping an eye on things. If Sirius and James failed, it was their job to try again.

“Have a little faith, Reggie,” Sirius blew a kiss at his brother before all four of them disapparated. Regulus groaned and began to pace the tree line as he waited impatiently for them to return.

Overall I think its been a pretty good year! Worked on myself, best year for my business so far, got to do some fun things like conventions and in general I'm just so much more at peace with my life

I think next year I do need to work more on taking time off and not totally overworking myself constantly 😅
