none pizza with no beef from dominoes is also a safe option guessing by the wendys chili?
Tumblr media
Well, yes it’d actually be a safe option! Maybe get some left beef and you’d be getting your protein, but this has no sugars and low carbs which would be great for a diabetic. However! Your health may be fine but not the poor dominoes employees going to bed knowing what you ordered ପ(๑•ᴗ•๑)ଓ ♡

TW FOOD AND RECIPE
Low Carb Friendly Teriyaki Chicken and Broccoli Stir Fry Burrito
Hi! I've never put any recipes on Tumblr but I made this by accident and wanted to share. I'm diabetic and in ED recovery, and this is what I had for breakfast!
Ingredients -1 boiled egg -Carb balance flour tortilla -1 slice of turkey bacon (or more if you want some on the side) -Green giant's teriyaki chicken and broccoli frozen bag -Soy sauce -Vegan butter (I use smart balance) -Light sour cream -Chopped green onions (dried or fresh) -Garlic powder and pepper to taste -Anything else you wanna add! Put a small skillet on the stove on medium. Add your green giant contents, I used about a handful and a half for this measurement. Add a teaspoon of vegan butter and let that sit for about a minute. Add your soy sauce to taste, I eyeballed it. (do not add salt! regardless of if you use low sodium soy sauce or regular, it'll severely oversalt it). Add about two tablespoons of sour cream. Add a little bit of water at time to make almost like a sauce, but let it cook. Let that cook on medium heat uncovered while you go to the next step, keep an eye on it and add more water if it starts to look dry.
Chop up your boiled egg. Slice it into thin slices, then cut those in half/aimlessly chop like I did. Add your seasonings to the stir fry first, stir it around make sure it's coated and make sure it's not too dry, then add the egg. Stir it around, then put the heat on low-medium (not too low) and continue to add water if it dries out while cooking. When it's done, all of the veggies and chicken should look darker brown. Check the bag for what temp the chicken has to be and use a thermometer if you have one (I didn't so I just winged it).
Lay your tortilla flat. Put the contents of your stir fry in the middle, if you made too much to fit then you'll have some on the side. Tear off pieces of your turkey bacon and putt it on top, add any sauce or cheese you like. Roll your burrito. Enjoy!!
(the reason I didn't add timings for anything is because this is exactly how I did it. i'm not a cook. i just threw this all together and it was so good and healthier that i had to share.)

A) Market Overview: Diabetic food refers to food and beverages that are specifically designed to meet the dietary needs of people with diabetes. The rising prevalence of diabetes worldwide is driving the demand for diabetic food products. These products offer several advantages, such as controlled sugar intake, weight management, and improved overall health for individuals with diabetes. B) Market Key Trends: One key trend in the diabetic food market is the increasing consumer awareness about diabetes control. With the growing incidence of diabetes globally, more people are becoming conscious of the importance of managing their blood glucose levels. This has led to an increased demand for diabetic food products that help individuals with diabetes maintain a balanced diet while enjoying a variety of food options. For example, consumers are gravitating towards low-sugar desserts or snacks that use natural sweeteners or sugar alternatives like stevia or monk fruit extract. C) PEST Analysis: Political: Governments around the world are taking initiatives to raise awareness about diabetes and promote healthy eating habits. This includes implementing policies to regulate food labeling and encourage the production and consumption of diabetic-friendly food products. Economic: The economic impact of diabetes is significant, with healthcare costs related to the disease burden increasing. This has created a demand for cost-effective diabetic food options that can help individuals manage their condition without breaking the bank. Social: The increasing prevalence of diabetes and related health complications has led to a shift in social norms around food consumption. More people are embracing healthier eating habits and seeking out diabetic food products as part of a broader wellness trend. Technological: Advancements in food technology have allowed for the development of innovative diabetic food products that closely mimic the taste and texture of traditional food items. These advancements have contributed to a wider acceptance and adoption of diabetic food among consumers. D) Key Takeaways: - The global Diabetic Food Market is expected to witness high growth, exhibiting a CAGR of 5.7% over the forecast period. The increasing prevalence of diabetes, coupled with growing consumer awareness about the importance of diabetes control, is driving the demand for diabetic food products. - In terms of regional analysis, North America is expected to be the fastest-growing and dominating region in the diabetic food market. Why Blaming Carbs for Diabetes is Like Blaming Water for Drowning
Welcome to my post on why diabetes isn't just a sugary death sentence but a greasy one at that. Imagine your body is like a very finicky luxury car. You wouldn't fill its tank with maple syrup and bacon fat and expect it to run smoothly, would you? Well, your body works in a somewhat similar fashion—too much junk, especially fats, clogs up the works.
Here’s the breakdown for the medically uninitiated:
The Fat Trap: Think of saturated fat as the uninvited guest who crashes on your couch (skeletal muscles), refuses to leave, and blocks the door (prevents glucose from entering cells), causing a nasty traffic jam (elevated blood sugar).
Fructose – The Wolf in Sweet Clothing: Drinking your fructose in sodas is akin to trying to put out a fire with gasoline. It rushes in, overwhelms the system, and instead of being a quick energy source, it turns into fat. That's right, that sweet drink is more like a fat keg.
Cellular Traffic Jam: Here’s a fun fact — saturated fats cause a cellular traffic jam worse than Tokyo at rush hour. It messes up the whole energy production line, leading to increased blood sugar because glucose can’t get where it needs to go.
The Historical Angle: Historically, populations gorging on fats have shown more diabetes. Surprise, surprise. Meanwhile, high carb consumers (like the rural Chinese or Okinawans with their sweet potatoes) lived their days with hardly any diabetes. Maybe carbs aren’t the bad guys after all?
Sweeney’s 1927 Revelation: Since 1927, we've known that fats mess up insulin sensitivity. That's almost a century ago, and yet here we are, still debating whether to blame sugar or fat for diabetes.
So, what do we gather from this historic and scientific mishmash? Diabetes loves fat more than carbs. It's a lipid disease, mortals.
Advice from your not-so-friendly neighborhood nutri-student: Eat less saturated fat, dodge those sweet drinks, and maybe, just maybe, you’ll steer clear of the metabolic iceberg that diabetes really is.
Remember, when it comes to your health, sometimes the simplest advice is like Occam’s razor – cutting through the complexities to reveal a solution that’s, well, painfully obvious.
Stay healthy or, at the very least, try not to actively mess it up.

OMG. I made coffee today, (1 cup of hot black coffee+1tbsp chocolate protein powder mixed in, a half cup almond milk and 4 ice cubes, 3g carbs ) and it made my blood sugar pretty much perfect the entire day. i got to eat 2x as many carbs per meal because of this????????????
Idk how this works but it is a miracle for me since I'm not on any diabetes drugs ??
Dang that’s super awesome!! I rarely hear that and i’m glad it worked!! There are some foods that obviously can help with your glycemic index so i’m wondering if maybe there was something in the powder, almond milk has natural anti oxidants in it too that help with natural insulin for diabetics and digesting glucose. For example grapes are high in sugar but have lots of antioxidants making it safe for diabetics to eat! (from personal experience)
Regardless i’m super happy for you that sounds super helpful!! :D I hope it keeps helping that must be an amazing feeling !!!
