Taylor followed him in the hallways, he left without even shaking anyone's hand, pissed and angry at himself and the team. Reporters tried to stop him, to get an interview from him while walking. He almost snapped at one of them, waving his hand and almost hitting him on the face. Taylor saw that, her eyes wide open. She rushed to him and pushed him to go faster in the closest room she could find. Pushing him in and locking the door. It was one of the changing rooms. He threw his jersey on the floor, yelling words in french and cursing. She could only make out half of it and yet he kept going, having a full meltdown in front of her. And she knew he wasn't just saying random words by the way he spoke and moved his hands.

"ky-” she tried, an attempt to remind him she didn't speak the language. But he continued yelling, not at her, just at the world,just so he could get it out of his chest. She drew closer, trying to hold his arms, but he'd shake her off and keep going. She didn't have to understand the words to understand why he was that angry. The team was getting worse everyday, the bad streak getting longer.

Her eyes followed his, darting left and right, trying to make eye contact while her hands reached for the hem of his shirt. Pulling it down, to get his attention. It worked for a second because he looked in her eyes. But then he continued and she slipped her hands under his shirt, her hand coming in contact with his skin. That distracted him, his words getting tangled with each other as she pressed and stroked on the side of his stomach and they started stepping backwards until he was with his back on the wall. His back crashed on the wall and She cupped his face with her one hand, squishing his cheeks, so he'd stop talking "i have no idea what you're saying!” she stated.

He let out a deep sigh, focusing on her eyes. Her hand crawled up to his chest, right over his heart. He closed his eyes. Laying his head back and she placed her other hand on his hip. She stepped closer, her leg in between his.

"fucking hell..." He mumbled. She laid her head on his chest, kissed it over the shirt, then looked up at him. Her fingers now crawling under his armpit, pinching him so he'd look at her. He did look, his eyes finding hers again, a little calmer now.

"it's ok" she whispered. He held her face, pulling her up and leaning down, tasting her lips as of she was alcohol to numb the pain. He entered her mouth with his tongue, sucking any bit of her he could and borrowing her air. She gave it all to him, no hesitation, cause she knew he needed it.

They pulled away slowly, his hand on her back now, their foreheads stuck together.

"get a few breaths. Meet us in the locker rooms. Calm, please. Last thing we need is to start fighting with each other. They are your teammates, not your enemies. We are gonna go through it together."

He leaned in to kiss her again, another long sip. She gave it to him, before pulling back. She raised his hand to her lips, leaving another kiss on his fingers.

"can i come to your place tonight?” he asked, his lips ghosting over her ear.

She nodded. Left a kiss on his cheek and left the room first.

Guys I finally got to see Inside Out 2 and omg do I need to rant

Inside Out is my current hyperfixation and I’m so happy I got to have it right when the second movie came out

So here’s everything I wanted to talk about from my first viewing of Inside Out 2 (Spoilers, obviously)

I’ve placed these in (rough) chronological order

1. Getting to see the emotions room! So, I actually missed the first few minutes because we accidentally bought 3D tickets instead of normal ones so we got the times mixed up. But! I got to see the Demo Day scene on YouTube and OMG THEIR ROOM⁉️ ITS SO CUTE 😭 THE BUNKBEDS, JOY AND FEAR HAVING STARS ON THEIR WALLS, AND ANGER HAVING THE WINDOW THINGY ON HIS 🥺

2. The emotions bed clothes! Omg I would kill for Joy’s pjs! They’re so cute and they definitely made a great decision with the design! I would have never thought of Sadness in a robe but omg does she look adorable! Fear and his plushie are actually like the cutest thing ever aND DISGUST⁉️ SHES SO PRETTY OMG 😭 Not much to say for Anger just cuz I feel like people would of kinda expected that to be his bed clothes 😭

3. “Who are you people?” I just kinda think the line delivery was neat :3 also the way Disgust puts herself between the construction people and Sadness to, like, protect her, its just so cute 😭

4. Ennui and her phone I know people don’t really like her that much but I did! I like how she had an app that she could control the console from but where did she even get it from? 😭 Did someone make that just for her or did she just “spawn” with it? 😭

5. “You can’t bottle us up!” The fact Joy gave them that idea and the way Embarrassment poked holes in the jar for them like they’re little rats you’d find in your kitchen 😭 I guess that is kind of what they were to the new emotions but I love how they literally bottled up emotions

6. Lance struggling to walk through the door I just thought it was funny he kept walking into the wall and it took a few tries for him to get through the door 😭

7. Disgust willingly sitting on a slice of pizza Do you know how greasy and gross pizza is 😭? She was hesitant to stand on broccoli but she was fully willing to sit in grease 😭 I just feel like that’s something she would never do 😭

8. The climb up the recall tube Just the way that Sadness was the last option 😭 Fear and Anger werent even an option to Joy, her first choice was Disgust and the only reason she didn’t do it was because she didn’t want to get her dress dirty 😭 Sadness was the only one left so she had too 😭

9. Sar-chasm Really no explanation, the joke is just funny imo

10. Joys “OF COURSE IM DELUSIONAL” It’s been stuck in my head since I first saw a clip of that on Tik Tok and it seriously plays in my mind over and over 😭 I also think it gives us a better idea of what goes on in her head and I really appreciate it 🙏

11. Pillow fort Joy being asked if she was drawing a hippo when she was drawing Riley and her hockey team, Disgust using Anger as a clipboard, Anger drawing Riley giving flowers to the other team, no one standing with Joy when she asked who was on her side, that one person who drew a cat, I just love the scene all together 😭

12. Brainstrom It rains light bulbs ☹️ /pos

13. “Grab an idea” The way Disgust didn’t even wait for any other order and just jumped off the balloon thousands of feet high in the eye of the storm 😭 She could have tried to catch an idea that came near her but she decided to jump 😭

14. Fears parachute He definitely has other safety equipment on his person and I need to know what else he has 🙏 he probably wears knee/elbow pads under his clothes or something 😭

15. Riley dying her hair She used that cherry koolaid thingy to dye her hair in the bathroom and omg that’s so real 😭 I, personally, used to use chalk though 😔

16. Anxiety During the panic attack scene where shes moving so quickly that it looks like she isn’t moving at all 😭 The small flickers were so cool 🙏 I love her design ngl, like shes so ugly shes cute, her character is honestly just so relatable, I love her sm ☹️

17. Riley’s hair Idrk what to say here, I just like her hair and the way it looks damp after her panic attack is just some cool animation 😭

18. Nastolga I just think the joke of her coming to hq when its not her time is funny 😭 She seems like such a cool character and if theres a 3rd movie I would love to see more of her!

19. Anxiety’s Chair I just think it’s really cute that they gave her a massage chair, it looks so relaxing 😭

20. Disgust constantly cleaning her dress She’s just so real for that

The animation OMG THE ANIMATION WAS SO PRETTY 😭 The glitter in the emotions hair, Disgust’s run cycle was seriously adorable, Joy and Disgust’s facial expressions (I was really only watching them because they’re my favourites ngl), the different styles for Lance and Bloofy/Pouchie (+ how excited Joy is when meeting Bloofy), Joy’s glow staying (I seriously expected them to forget about it) the way the wind affects their hair, it’s just all so beautiful 😭

I might get to watch it again this week so if I notice/remember anything else I’ll add to the list 🥺

Hey Raven! 👋🏻 I just went through your #my art, and i wanted to tell you that i really really really like your artworks of Miss Raven and Co. You truly put a lot of effort into your artwork, and it shows! With each new drawing, you seem to be getting better! ✏️💕

As i mentioned earlier, i really liked your Miss Raven drawings! they're so cute! especially when you drew Miss Raven in alternative clothing. I also like how much detail you put in your designs for Miss Raven, like the ones for the Fairy Gala or Masquerade Ball are so beautiful 🥺 and still fit her character!

The one you did with her wearing different dorm uniforms from each dorm was such a cool idea! it was interesting to see how she may have appeared if Miss Raven was transferred to said dorms! call me biased, but i liked the octavinelle design the most 😂 but poor Miss Raven. If she had to work part-time in Mostro lounge, she'll have to avoid two predatory Eels 😭 One wants to tease her while the other either wants to squeeze her or dump all his work on her cuz he isn't feeling it today, then there's Azul who takes advantaged of the fact that Miss Raven is close to headmaster Crowley and makes profit 📈 Run Miss Raven Run!!!

Anyway, I think i'm going to steal her away and fight off a certain dangerous and manipulate Eel, a Skilful Hunter, a Lazy Lion, and a dude with the power of christ (idk is Rollo x Raven even a thing?!).

Wehhh 😭 I’m glad you find enjoyment in my silly little doodles! Art is definitely an area I’m less comfortable with, but I do like dabbling in it when the mood strikes.

There’s something therapeutic in designing a new look for your OC! You take the time to consider their individual style, the overall theme, and how you can marry the two to create a cute outfit~ I’m really happy with how Raven’s Fairy Gala Couture came out; it’s definitely one of my favorite looks for her. The Masquerade outfit was also fun for me to assemble, but it seems a lot less cohesive in hindsight (probably because I didn’t line + color it, so it’s harder to distinguish individual elements??).

The NRC dorm uniforms (+ the sequel with RSA and NBC uniforms) was another cool project! I think my favorites from those are the Heartslabyul look (just because I’m a sucker for the Alice in Wonderland aesthetic + Raven is twisted from the raven in its infamous riddle), the Diasomnia look (it gives “fairy tale princess turned knight” energy), and the Noble Bell look (because the extra fabric is nice and flowy). You can see how the environment and the personality of each school/dorm influences her, right? ^^ It’s also interesting to think about how differently Raven might have turned out if each of these places had more of an influence on her life.

Bruh 💀 I think she’d die if she worked at the Mostro Lounge, dealing with customers and shady coworkers and employer… though that’s not to say that any of the other dorms would necessarily be better! Miss Raven would have gripes with or rivals in each of them somehow. It’s the Night Raven College way, I guess??

One of these things is not like the other… Looking back on it, 3 out of 4 of those are basically predatory-prey dynamics there there’s a type developing and I don’t know if I like it/j 😂 I’d say Jade’s the “main” love interest, while Rook’s the “oh, he’s cute” one… L*ona kind of started as a crack ship but now I think it’s more of a one-sided thing?? Like, Miss Raven still sees L*ona as sort of a rival, whereas he’s grown a little fond of her but knows he can’t do much to sway her… It’s the eternally “second place” syndrome… 😔

Rollo has the most complex relationship with her (sure, call it a ship if you want 😂), built primarily on a strange savior complex. He did some heinous stuff and dislikes her because she’s very pro-magic—but I think there’s a part of him that feels like she’s a lost lamb that’s been led astray by Draconia and therefore he needs to “save” and “correct” her. Problem is, he’s bad at Emotions so his anger gets redirected at Miss Raven herself. Meanwhile, Miss Raven realizes the similarities between herself and Rollo, so she wants to be a friend to him. She sort of forces him to be her pen pal (thinking that writing down how he feels will help him cope with what happened). So weirdly enough, Raven wants to “save” Rollo and Rollo wants to “save” Raven (but both suck at communicating well).

Who knows, we’ll see how things play out from here Nd when the whim to draw strikes next 📝

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, VAIL!!!

And HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! AS WELL~

Today is not only the first day of 2024, but also the the birthday to best boi Vail. I drew him some soft uwu art because he is a soft uwu boy. Well, he is to Lei LOL. I would not say he's soft and uwu to anyone he has killed.

This outfit is based off the one I designed for Lei and her friends way back! I'm planning to redesign it XD cuz it's concept art for a series of illustrations I want to draw... I have so many WIPs both in sketches and in my brain it's kind of painful... cri... Anyways this outfit is more modern and I didn't change too much for Vail's design but I did add some patterns into his parka -- the cat face and some of his signature V's! The blue plaid inner lining is actually one of my fave parts of his whole outfit! :3 Cuz the theme in that series was their theme colour + plaid... man I really like that series 🥺🥺🥺 I want to draw that concept art so bad.

I think he turned out pretty cute here! I especially like how his hair turned out~ His blue gradient hair is one of my fave parts of his design, after all!

So what did he receive on his birthday as gifts? In my headcanons, not sure what Lexi would have given him tbh... but she's a rich girl so I imagine a previous gift was the red bike he uses XD Zoey's gift to him would be some nice alcohol or maybe one of the masks from her stash. Keeper's gift to him would definitely be something SHE personally finds cool... which probably happened to be a shiny holographic card from her personal collection. Possibly of a cat because they both like cats. Rose's gift? I'm not really sure. In my headcanons, Rose usually is the one who buys Vail cake since Rose knows of Vail's sweet tooth (specifically strawberry shortcake!). For dad vibes I imagine Rose often gets Vail some clothing as well xD Maybe fuzzy socks this year? :3 Maybe accessories some years? (Ex: like those silver chains he's wearing. In my design of Rose I gave him gold chains XD #drip).

As for Lei? Oh boy buckle up. It went something like this (this may be copium delulu and not canon but that's okay):

After already seeing his friends throughout the day, Vail sat on the couch of his apartment and waited for Lei to come home. She had asked him specifically to wait toward the evening as she apparently had a special surprise for him.

He was petting their cat Meng, a cat he had technically got for her during her last birthday, when he heard the sound of the door being unlocked. Meng let out a loud meow and leapt out of his lap and ran toward the door, being the loyal and affectionate cat she was. Vail followed suit.

Lei scooped Meng into her arms and gave the cat little pets and scratches on the chin and head. Meng purred as she always did, flopping over in Lei's arms and wiggling around.

She then turned to Vail with a smile and kissed his cheek, while still holding Meng in her arms. "I'm home~ Did you miss me?"

"Yeah." Vail replied honestly. He kissed her back. "I did."

Lei hummed happily and went to the kitchen table, placing the cat on there as she began to rummage through the multiple bags she had brought home.

"I heard Rose already got you a cake but I had already placed the order so you'll get two." She was saying, as she pulled out a cake box and placed it into the fridge. There was already a strawberry shortcake sitting in the fridge, so she seemed to struggle to place it on another shelf. Ever since she had moved in with him, there was considerably more food in the fridge.

"Do you want to have dinner first or are we having cake for dinner today?" She asked as she turned back to face him.

Vail smiled at her cheekily. "Depends on what kind of cake."

It seemed to take her some time to process his words because she first furrowed her eyebrow, looking at him with confusion, before a blush crept on her face. But she leaned in anyways to whisper, her breath hot in his ear, "You can have whatever cake you desire~ You're the birthday boy, after all~"

He barely resisted the urge to throw her over his shoulder and do as he pleased with her, but luckily she stepped back to the table to go through her other bags so this thought passed.

"Before that, though, let me give you your gift." Lei said, as she pulled out what looked to be a leather collar. It was dyed a light blue, similar to the colour of his hair and had a silver buckle. There was a silver tag on it, and when he flipped it over, the words "Belongs to Lei" were inscribed in the back. "Since you've been a good boy and all." She smiled mischeviously at him.

Looking at such a cute smile, he felt like there was no choice but to take the collar, which was soft and supple, and he started to put it around his neck, right above the turtleneck underlayer he always wore.

Lei seemed to be much more hesitant and less confident now. "You don't have to actually wear it..." She said, her voice trailing off. "This one was actually a joke and your real gift is in this other bag." She tapped another bag and there was a solid knocking sound.

"Of course I do." He said with a smile, showing off the sharp canine teeth she liked so much. "It's a gift from you, after all."

She looked at him then, biting her lip a little, as she raised the green eyes he liked so much to meet his. "I do have to say, it's a good look for you~" She reached out and slid a finger under the collar, gently pulling him closer to her. "I have good taste, if I do say so myself~"

He went with her willingly, as he always did. It was near impossible for him to resist what she wanted. "Is part of my gift the same as the one from Christmas?" He asked with a little smile.

She smiled back at him. "But of course~ You can take that part of your gift whenever you'd like."

When that same person he had thought about at the time asked him if they could be more than friends... he couldn't help but give into such a dream. The dream of being loved and loving someone.

He was already relatively content with what he had: He was good at his job as a runner if you could call it that; he had people who he could talk to and understood him as they had gone through the same things as he did. They had taken away his ability to dream at night, but it didn't stop him from daydreaming. As his parents had told him -- or perhaps warned him -- long ago, he was a dreamer who always wanted to dream of more.

He still dreamed for himself. But he now also dreamed for others; wanting others to have their dreams fulfilled. It was only fair, when some of his dreams had come true.

He took the sedative he needed to fall asleep. Lei always looked so sad when she saw him take sleeping pills, so now he always waited until she was asleep before he did. After all, he needed to sleep, as there would be another day he'd have to get through when the morning broke again.

Wrapping his arm around her, he let himself daydream a little longer, thinking of sunshine and a future where his friends and loved ones were safe and happy. He was still thinking of these happy things when the sleeping pill took affect and darkness claimed him.

I'm starting to wonder about oc's husband, and if he is even faithful to her in this entire situation. While he does seem to be a loving and caring husband, his father has sent him away for the majority of the year on trips. Similarly, he is surrounded by rich and beautiful women. The riches and beauty is not something he is attracted to (if he wanted riches he wouldn't have married oc 🥲) oc is very beautiful ofc but it was more her kindness and compassion that drew him to her.

No one has ever caught his eye like that but he is always aware of the fact that he tends to have all eyes on him at times because of who his father is (and also because he is really hot but like ofc cuz...his father is Jungkook lmao)

I wouldn't say he's ever made a choice that wasn't expected, but he did miss his "daughter's" first birthday because he forgot and said yes to going to Hong Kong for another business trip (cuz Jungkook is a psycho and wanted to get him out of the way so he could dote on "his granddaughter" without having to worry about his son getting in the way).

He is just as in love with oc as she is with him 🥺 they met in college and got married after they had both gotten their master's degrees (Him in business and architecture and her in education). She had agreed to become a stay at home mom while her children are still young. (They're not sure when/if she'll be going to work but she's open to it)

As sappy as it is he knew he was going to marry her from the first moment her saw her. Like his father (in a healthy way ofc) he did everything in his power to become worthy of her and be with her no matter if he had his parent's blessing or not but he eventually "convinced" his father to give them his blessing (but we all know now that it didn't take him too long to agree. He did still put up a good fight until he figured out that he could use this to his advantage tho).

Btw the colour edit of the Magi anime's Judar concept arts were done by me! The purple toned one, specifically. It has nice colours...

I love using teal/cool toned black + red combo in my arts 💗 So I used more blue tones instead

I like doing colour edits cuz it helps me harmonize colours and see how colours work together on the actual design itself. Love playing around with colours

I do love the teal toned black hair the Magi anime uses for him, but I tend to shift colours by saturating the colours more (shifting to cooler tones and saturating reds)

When I refine and redraw the rest of the drawing, I'll redraw the hair and clothes and add more patterns onto the clothes

I love using saturated red and hot pink~ Technically if you eyedrop pick the colour, the colour of the red ru (top of the hanfu) is red~ish hot pink. But cuz of the contrast against the cool colours, the teal/cool toned black daxiushan (coat jacket), the colour reads as red

Art Rambles

I love picking colours 🥰 My fave part of the art process is sketching and picking colours

I use CSP's Oil Paint Flat Brush to line! I've been using CSP since 2016. The first thing I drew on CSP was a KuroEne comic page attempt on CSP back in 2016

It's a free brush. CSP updated the Oil Paint brush with a new one so you can find CSP's old brushes on the CSP Assets store

Ever since 2022, I prefer using textured brushes to sketch/line compared to soft opaque brushes and hard pen brushes

Makes it easier to control line weights for me

This brush has a flat edge so the newer Oil Paint brush makes it easier to draw sharper lines, but I have better control over this brush and I'm just used to it. It works with my art style well. I love weighted inky brushes.

Also dawg I just realized that I recorded Display Capture on OBS so it shows my tablet's button presses on screen and me opening folders and files oops 😭

I'll record just the CSP window next time with Window Capture

I downloaded ShotCut, a free video editor this morning and it's already better than OpenShot tbh. It can speed up the video without stuttering and skipping frames, and has more features too

If I was filling in the base colours for real, I'd use a hard brush to fill in the base colours (cuz as you can see in the video, the Oil Paint brush is slightly translucent so it'll create lighter spots and won't fill in the base colours completely)

So I duplicated the layers multiple times. Since it's just a rough sketch, I filled in the base colours manually since it's fine for it to be messy. I'm just getting an idea of colours so it doesn't need to be clean

But if it was more refined with a cleaner refined sketch/lineart, then I'd use lasso tool and magic wand by selecting the outside of the lines and inverting the selection

I like using the old Oil Paint Flat brush for sketching and lining, but just keep in mind it has a flat edge (so if you need something that makes sharper lines use the new Oil Paint Flat brush) and it can't blend for shading/rendering.

Okay so my friend and i both agreed that objectively the Renjun one was the best. Like the plot, the CHARACTER DEPTH, and the execution was perfect *chefs kiss*

BUT MY FAVORITE WAS THE HAECHAN ONE AHAHAH His character and the storyline of it was so appealing to me cuz he was like playful and fun but with a ✨vulnerable✨ side, oh and a gang of air bending thieves is always fun. THE SHARING THE BED TROPE IS SUCH AN OVERPLAYED TROPE BUT I LOVE IT ALL THE SAME SO 😩💓

Plus i laughed my ass off when i first thought haechan would be portrayed as a monk that’s bald with arrow tattoos 🤣 (not to mention the addition of the mental image of bald mark, jisung, and chenle LMAOOO)

Oh and sidenote: I remember being very curious about how all the boys’ reactions and interactions wouldve been like if she actually went to each nation and collected them. And then formed her own Team Avatar. That would’ve been hella awesome man ASHDKSMA like a harem but with bending 💯 but not over the top, it would be lowkey only like Ouran Highschool Host Club (a harem anime thats not in your face harem) or smth. I highkey believe that in that scenario Renjun would be the canon love interest just because. 😌

This was my old desktop setup btw (since these are photos I took in May 2023 when I first got my hanfu). Thankfully I got a new laptop and a huge monitor to look at (as my main screen). It's SOOO much better than just looking at a tiny laptop screen, I highly recommend it for ergonomics (if people can afford it)

I originally drew Judar wearing hanfu in 2022! Still one of my personal fave doodles ❤️ Judar is my fave (no one is surprised, I have the most obvious predictable tastes in the world LMAO). A meow meow mf perfect for my tastes.

Judar fits perfectly into the highly specific Sen-core niche that my top faves all tend to fall under - Meow meow mf. C*nty sen-core bastard cat who's violent, threatens people, and ok with murder. Bloodthirsty. Monochrome aesthetic colour palette.

Manga Judar has red eyeliner (?) and anime Judar has purple eyeshadow? Both are good, but I like Judar with red eyeliner since black and red are his theme colours! 🖤❤️ I like how the colours pop, the contrast against his design, and how it matches his red eyes.

In my HCs, Judar wears a type of hanfu called 襦裙 (ruqun). 襦 (ru) is the top of a hanfu, and the wrap-around skirt is called 裙 (qun).

I want him to wear black, white, red, gold, hanfu & hanfu earrings, with red eyeliner and black painted nails 🤗

I still need to pick my headcanon hanfu earrings for Judar... I imagine they'd be gold with red accessories.

I just have to refine the eyes, redraw the hair and hanfu, and then start doing the lineart for it! I love the expression tbh

I love how Ohtaka stylizes and draws the shape of Judar's hair and braids. It's so clever how she simplifies the shapes. It just looks so good. It looks galaxy/tornado shaped… I love how the hatched lines above his eyes in Ohtaka's inking represents his eyeliner... ❤️

I just have to redraw the hair and hanfu and then start doing the lineart for it! Love the expression

I miss my sons, I wanna draw my HC designs of JuAli (with Judar wearing hanfu and Alibaba with tanner skin, wearing traditional Arabic clothes), as a fix-it for the obvious colourism & racial stereotyping going on in Magi's designs of SWANA and South Asian inspired charas...

I bought black and red hanfu back in 2023. I based my Judar hanfu doodles on it 🥺❤️ It's in Judar colours. Black red and white 🖤❤️🤍 I'm so HAPPY to get something that reminds me of my fave 🥰🤭❤️✨ I got it from the Hanfu Story~ They have such a large selection of hanfu and they're all so gorgeous~

Basically Judar themed hanfu~ I love traditional clothes, so it's my dream to collect them! Now I can use it as refs to draw him with the poses and lighting I want teehee. Hanfu & huafu look GORGEOUS to me. I also have Việt Phục like áo dài and áo tấc~

The colours are amazing!! I love black and red combo 😭💖 It's way too easy to fall into the fashion hole and collecting traditional clothes but I definitely want more in the future!

Art rambles

When I sketch, I draw out the expressions and decide which ones looks best (I either do it once or a few ~ several times) depending on whether I'm satisfied with it. I like the two most recent 2024 versions I showed~ The old one is still nice... But I prefer the recent versions, because I think it shows how my art style and proportions improved.

The sketch is super messy right now so when I get the time I'll refine them more! It's just to make it consistent with my current style. I'm a little insecure about my sketches, so I prefer posting them on priv for mutuals only.

Since I'm not really a fan of the idea of my sketches/WIPs getting posted around when I'm bound to fix/refine/improve on them later when I get the chance to refine them. Though thankfully with my 2022+ lining style, my sketches look more "aesthetically nice" or "post worthy" to me...

My friends told me that I could just post them on main with no tags and a caption like "Please don't reblog!" and people would probably respect that, but ahh I'm still hesitant about my sketches getting reblogged around...

Perhaps in the future... I do genuinely like my art style and I'm very happy with my art improvement, but I want to keep growing as an artist first. I want to reach the point where I manage to become more technically skilled and confident about my works (even my sketches)

This time I attached IRL photos since I thought these pics turned out pretty~ So I'd prefer to keep these on priv just for mutuals.

Re: My thoughts on the issues with the portrayals of certain cultures in Magi

This is how I feel with my faves. Not just my Magi faves, but in general.

I have my HC designs with Xanxus (KHR), Idate (WATGBS AU), Judar (Magi), etc. So many of my faves.

I wanted to project Judar's ethnicity on his design more since Judar is CN-inspired. Also he'd look gorgeous wearing hanfu.

And also cuz I fucking hate his outfit in canon. It's so ugly imo cuz it's a bastardized/racially stereotyped take on what Indian/South Asian clothes look like.

Doing cultural exchanges/wearing other cultures' clothes' is fine, but I think a lot of the racially stereotyped clothing designs is definitely something to criticize.

As someone Viet/SEAsian, I really despise how EA and SEA media, such as animanga + games, often feed into SWANA and South Asian orientalism and racial stereotyping, disrespectful takes, etc. We don't need these ugly ass "dancer-esque" outfits!!!

SWANA and South Asian traditional clothes have such beautiful patterns, and colours... People are really missing out... I wish popular media would depict that instead!!!
