My Beast Kingdom Batman Returns Dynamic Action figure arrived. It's a pretty good likeness with some movie accurate details. It's an 8 inch figure, so much bigger than my 1989 Mezco One: 12 figure. Also pretty beefy compared to the McFarlane Toys movie Batman figures. Overall, it's pretty good. It would have been nice to have an extra head; like when he rips off his mask at the end. The emblem on his chest also seems a bit too big.

I find it a little silly when people blame Jinx's acts of terrorism on Silco, like "he manipulated her into committing violent and terroristic acts!"

Did y'all forget that almost every violent act of terrorism she commits is in direct opposition to Silco's orders and he is extremely pressed about it in like every single episode lmao

I mean yes he absolutely encouraged a certain value system that led her to doing these things, and I believe he did manipulate her either intentionally or not, but. It's pretty significant that 80% of the shit he does is against Silco's fucking will like--

I know at the end he tells Jayce "she was acting under my orders" but this is a blatant lie to absolve Jinx of criminal responsibility and to put it onto himself. Which I find really interesting, because it indicates that he would have been willing to rot for the rest of his life in Stillwater if it meant Zaun could be free. He wanted a free Zaun more than anything, even if he never got to see it himself. The only thing more important to him than this dream was his daughter's happiness.

The Flying Graysons generally stuck to simpler tricks in the smaller towns. Less people to impress, so they didn’t need to go as far. But for some reason, when they went to the town of Amity Park, Dick felt an urge to show off.

Well, not for just any reason. For one very specific reason; a certain cute boy in the crowd.

But then the troupe moved on, as it always did. Outside of his daydreams, he didn’t really dare to hope he’d get to see the boy again. Especially once his parents died, circumstances nearly pushed it from his mind.

But then, during his detective training, an idea struck him. Even if he couldn’t see the boy in person, he could still keep track of him remotely.

It turner out to be remarkably easy, especially once he learned Danny’s name. So he kept it up. Watching him, taking notes on everything about him, fantasizing about actually being together for real. He never told anyone else. They wouldn’t understand. Checking in on Danny was always a highlight of his days. His own little reward. He wouldn’t let anyone take his Danny away from him.

Though there were some stumbles along the way. Times he’d almost been caught. And when some sort of lab accident had hospitalized Danny, he’d nearly ran off to Amity on his own to comfort him (never mind that he’d have to explain who he even was and how he’d known about it). But he persisted. And as time passed, he only became more and more infatuated with the other boy. Oh how he wished they could be together.

And then Danny showed up in Gotham. Dick couldn’t find anything definitively explaining why, but he wasn’t going to look a gift horse in the mouth. Finally, he could put all his copious notes to use and sweep his love off his feet.

i am not understanding rick's thought process behind the characters consistent mockery of percy's intelligence. especially in light of knowing that the characters do value percy as a friend and demigod. he was the child of the prophecy. he jumped into the river styx to better prepare for defending olympus. he used his gods-given wish to build a better future for demigods. he plays an active role as camp counselor at chb and is a respected confidant at cj. he is evidently held in high regard in his absense. but the surrounding characters seem to treat his presence like a hinderance to their peace. it's rather disappointing to read.

Character A is bedridden from the cramps and Character B becomes their living heating pad (cuddles with arms wrapped around the waist >>>>)

B buys A their favorite chocolates a couple days before their period starts and keeps beverages with electrolytes on hand

A takes a day off to rest, bingewatch some episodes of a good show, and care for themselves (maybe do some yoga, and by yoga I mean curl up in the fetal position for a couple hours)

B thinks that making a nice bath for A will help and prepares everything for when A gets home (A laughs and explains why that’s not a great idea)

Searching for Shark Week’s episodes online to deal with shark week in person, but getting distracted by cute animal shows

B can’t be there for A in person so they send A $30 to cover extra snacks and/or medicine

Instead of getting emotional over posts online, A digs out an old book series and gets emotional over that (they are reliving their childhood, they swear it’s cathartic THEY SWEAR)

A can’t sleep with the back pain so B gives them a light back massage with several check-ins to make sure the noises are in relief and not pain

B keeps the lights dim and and TV volume low as A battles a headache

All meals are made with ahead of time and cravings humored (“You can’t just eat straight salt.” “I know that, which is why I’m putting all of it on this.”)

A asks for B to get more pads/tampons at the store, B calls and sends many pictures as they try to figure out what will work best for A

B quietly scrubs out any bloodstains from A’s clothes as they do laundry (and they’re really efficient at it, why are they so good at getting blood out of clothing—)

A snuggling up with their pet who knows the exact spot to be in for maximum comfy (B thinks it’s adorable and takes a picture to show A later)

“I’m sorry if I’m not really conversational right now…” “Dude you’re on your period and barely slept last night, you’re good. We don’t have to talk, we can just chill.”

B brings home a machine for homemade ice-cream and all the ingredients needed for A’s favorite flavor (they spend the evening making it and declare a “dessert before dinner” day for when periods strike)

Sampo leans against a wall, his trademark grin widening as he watches your little sister’s antics. She’s busy blowing things up with her homemade firecrackers, and the resulting chaos is causing a small stampede of frightened people. You look at him helplessly, knowing exactly what’s going through his mind.

“Well, well,” Sampo muses, his tone smooth as ever. “It seems your little sister is quite the bundle of excitement. Reminds me of the old days when my schemes didn’t just get me into trouble… but make me a fortune.”

You groan, dashing forward to stop her before things escalate further. But Sampo, ever the opportunist, flashes a wink. “Don’t worry. You’re not alone. I’ll make sure nobody gets too hurt.”

The moment you turn away to manage the mess she’s caused, Sampo’s already starting to haggle with some of the bystanders who were unlucky enough to witness the explosion, offering "discounts" on goods to ease their 'frustration'.

“Ah, the power of chaos,” he says. “Quite profitable if you know how to work it."

Gepard stands at attention as he watches your little sister, a tiny ball of chaos wreaking havoc in the middle of a perfectly serene courtyard. His eyes narrow, but it’s not with anger. No, it’s a sense of duty.

“Is this how she spends her free time?” he asks, his voice calm but betraying a slight hint of disbelief.

“She’s just—well, she’s energetic," you try to explain, chasing after her as she ducks and dodges your attempts to get her under control. A little fountain of water has erupted from one of her contraptions, and it's now quickly flooding a nearby garden.

Gepard crosses his arms, his gaze remaining composed even as your sister’s antics go from bad to worse. “I understand the need for adventure, but I cannot allow disorder like this. She is… certainly a handful.”

When your little sister playfully tosses a flower at his face, he pauses, blinking at the gesture. His gaze softens slightly. “You know,” he mutters, “perhaps a little chaos can be a good thing. Keeps us vigilant, reminds us to expect the unexpected.”

Despite his stern demeanor, there’s a warmth in his eyes as he observes her mischievous grin. After all, what’s life without a little unpredictability?

Phainon, ever the composed warrior, watches your younger sister with a mix of bewilderment and fascination. She’s jumping around, firing off small bursts of energy from a toy gun and accidentally knocking over a stack of supplies.

His hand moves to the hilt of his weapon instinctively as a loud explosion echoes from her direction, but it’s just a small pop from a confetti bomb she set off.

“Is she always like this?” Phainon asks, trying to keep a straight face, though it’s evident he’s struggling not to laugh.

“I’m afraid so,” you reply sheepishly, stepping forward to try and corral her before things get too chaotic.

Phainon watches your attempt, a small smile tugging at his lips. “She has… much energy.” He pauses. “It is both admirable and terrifying.”

When your sister starts running circles around him, Phainon takes a deep breath, preparing for whatever might come next. But then, to your surprise, he kneels down to her level. “You know,” he says with a soft chuckle, “I think I would enjoy a race. But only if you promise not to set anything on fire.”

Your little sister giggles in response, and suddenly the warrior finds himself caught up in a race he didn’t expect to be a part of. Phainon’s composure remains, but there’s a twinkle of enjoyment in his eyes as your sister leads him around, full of chaotic energy.

Mr. Reca sits back in his chair, watching your little sister with a critical eye. She’s throwing something—he’s not even sure what—into the air, and the resulting explosion leaves a trail of smoke and a few startled citizens behind.

“Another act of meaningless chaos…” he mutters, tapping his fingers on the armrest. “I could’ve filmed that, but it lacks substance. No depth.”

You rush to calm her down, your face a mix of embarrassment and exasperation. “She’s just… being herself.”

Reca glances over, his normally cynical expression softening as he watches the mischief unfold. “I suppose she does have a certain… authenticity to her,” he concedes. “But let’s see if she can manage something with more depth than mere explosions.”

Before you can respond, your sister sets off another round of firecrackers, and this time, Reca rises, walking toward her with a thoughtful look in his eyes. “If you’re going to make a mess, at least make it one that has a story. I don’t want to see just destruction. Show me the meaning behind it.”

As your sister throws another wild concoction into the air, he tilts his head, almost impressed. “Perhaps you do have a spark of potential.”

You can only sigh, knowing that this time, your little sister's chaotic nature might just inspire something worthwhile for Reca—though whether it’s the film he’s hoping for or just another headache remains to be seen.
