10 Most Anticipated of 2021
Yes, 2021 is 1/12 done. Oh well, better late than never with this list. Here are a few films by some great directors that I look forward to watching this year:
Don't Worry Darling dir. Olivia Wilde
I was totally charmed by Wilde’s directorial debut (which was co-written by Susanna Fogel a pretty charming director in her own right). Don’t Worry is a period piece about an unhappy housewife boasting an all star cast including Florence Pugh, Kiki Layne, Harry Styles and Gemma Chan. At the very least it will be beautiful to look at.
Little Mother dir. Céline Sciamma
Not much has been said about Sciamma’s 5th film aside from the fact that it will focus on the friendship between two 8 year olds in Paris but a new Sciamma film is always a cause for celebration.
The Nightingale dir. Mélanie Laurent
This was supposed to come out last year but covid-19 completely mangled the shooting schedule and it was pushed back a year. The film features the real life Fanning sisters (Dakota and Elle) playing French sisters trying to survive in German occupied France during WWII.
Marry Me dir. Kat Coiro
I make no secret about the fact that I love a good romcom and this one sounds delightful. Jennifer Lopez will play a pop star who at the last second marries a fan instead of her celebrity partner she’s discovered is unfaithful. It sounds delightfully tropey, like a screwball comedy. I can’t wait. It’s also good to see Coiro back in the directing seat again. She made a slew of solid indies before disappearing into TV work.
The Matrix 4 dir. Lana Wachowski
I kind of rolled my eyes when I first heard about this because it seemed like a cash grab from the WB. The last Matrix movie came out in 2003! Yet everything I keep hearing about it sounds bananas. Details have been kept under wraps but the leaks sound bizarre and meta (the Matrix trilogy exists in world in the Matrix 4 which means Keanu Reeves plays Keanu Reeves who is actually Neo???) I don’t know if this is real but I can’t wait to find out.
Passing dir. Rebecca Hall
An adaptation of Nella Larsen’s novel of the same name Passing is about two women, both of whom appear white but have black heritage and one of whom decides to live a life passing as white and the other who doesn’t. It’s personal material for Hall who has a black parent.
Persuasion dir. Mahalia Belo
This is probably going to be a 2022 film but I’m already excited for it. An adaptation of Jane Austen’s novel Persuasion the film will follow former flames Anne Elliot and Captain Wentworth who reunite later in life when their fortunes are reversed. One of my favourite Austen adaptations this one is also written by Jessica Swale (who wrote and directed Summerland) and looks to race-bend Wentworth’s character (which actually would work extremely well with the story). I love it, I can’t wait, and I’m excited that there will be another “straight” adaptation of Austen’s work directed by a woman (in addition to all the modernizations and spin-offs).
The Power of the Dog dir. Jane Campion
This is not a drill people! Campion is back with her first movie since 2009!  Based on the book of the same name by Thomas Savage it follows two brothers who fall out over one brother’s new wife. Kirsten Dunst is in it and I can’t think of a better match up than Campion and Dunst, both of whom have championed women directors (well, white women directors) over the years.
The Story of My Wife dir. Ildikó Enyedi
This was supposed to come out last year but covid-19 disrupted its scheduled release. Based on a novel of the same name The Story is about a man who makes a bet that he will marry the next woman to walk into a café and then becomes jealously obsessed with her once he succeeds. Léa Seydoux is the titular wife but I’m more fascinated with what Enyedi will do with the material as she’s such a thoughtful charming and playful director.
Women Talking dir. Sarah Polley
It has been a decade since Polley last directed a film, her amazing self-reflective documentary Stories We Tell. Well she’s back, uniting with Frances McDormand to adapt this novel by Miriam Toews about a group of Mennonite who have been given an unbearable choice: to either forgive and welcome serial rapists and leaders of their community back into the fold or be expelled themselves. Heavy stuff that I have confidence Polley will adapt thoughtfully.

Out of curiosity what/who is Miaverse?
Oh bestie
Miaverse is the next big story I wanna tackle. All about little Amelia (Mia) Benson Cassidy. Where Liv really does get pregnant in s15 and she and Cassidy break up but are still co-parenting and when Elliot comes back Olivia has two children and a lot of hilarity and feels ensue.
Mia is too much like both her parents, mouthy and always ready for a fight, and she'll kick anybody who's mean to her brother, and her favorite thing is going to Rangers games with her daddy and screaming at the opposing team. Elliot Stabler isn't gonna know what hit him.

PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK
                                     VS
                          ANNE GILLETTE
Court:             Members of the Jury, Anne Gillette has been charged in two counts with the crime of murder in violation of Penal Code §187. The information alleges that on or about December 17, 2010, in Manhattan, New York, the defendant, Anne Gillette, did kill Bert Gillette and Elaine Gillette, in violation of Penal Code §187. To this charge, Anne Gillette, has entered a plea of not guilty.
Court:             District Attorney Casey Novak you may call your first witness.
D.A. Novak:   Your Honour, the People call Adeline Clark.
CLERK SWEARS IN THE WITNESS
AND HAS WITNESS STATE HER NAME.
D.A. Novak:   How are you employed, Miss Clark?
Clark:              I am employed as an assistant at Ms. Gillette’s Art Gallery.
D.A. Novak:   Back in early April, 2010, did you call the police to the gallery because the defendant, Anne Gillette, had injured and been injured in an altercation?
Clark:             Yes, I did.
D.A. Novak:     Do you remember which officers responded to the call out?
Clark:               No. I wasn’t introduced to them once they arrived. I had been tending to Ms. Gillette’s injuries.
D.A. Novak:     Do you remember what the altercation was about?
Clark:               Yes, I do.
D.A. Novak:       What was the reason for the altercation?
Clark:               There was a customer that had been trying to… Pressure Ms. Gillette into giving him information about how she is able to obtain such wonderful pieces for her gallery. She had asked him numerous times to leave but he didn’t. Instead he had grabbed her wrist and tried- tried taking her to somewhere out of view but she had punched him and broken out of his grasp. The man retaliated by pushing her causing her to fall in which she twisted her ankle and fractured her wrist. She was able to get up with my assistance where she then punched him with her uninjured hand.
D.A. Novak:      How did you manage to call the police so that they would arrive before the perpetrator fled?
Clark:               I was able to call the police with the earpiece we have to take calls while we are away from the phone so that was how I was able to help Ms. Gillette get up. The man had been knocked back and looked like he was a bit surprised by Ms. Gillette’s actions so that’s how the police arrived before he was able to make a run for it.
D.A Novak:       Is this the first time that Ms. Gillette has been involved in some altercation while you were present?
Clark:               No. There have been a lot of people that harass her while we are out and about. I am usually able to stop them from getting to her but sometimes they get too close.
D.A. Novak:      Were you with Ms. Gillette the day of Bert and Elaine Gillette’s murder?
Clark:               I was.
D.A. Novak:       Where were you both between the hours of two and five am?
Clark:              We were getting ready to go to Paris to meet connections in the art world so that we could get a wider variety of pieces for the gallery.
D.A. Novak:       Did Gillette leave at any point during those three hours?
Clark:               No.
D.A. Novak:       Do you see Ms. Gillette in court today?
Clark:               I do.
D.A. Novak:       Could you please point her out for the jury?
Clark:               She’s sitting right there. (Pointing to the defendant)
D.A. Novak:      No further questions, Your Honour.
Court:             Defence Counsel Rita Calhoun, you may cross examine.
Defence
Counsel
Calhoun:           So Ms. Gillette is often subject to unwarranted harassment while you both go about your day?
Clark:              Yes she is. I have tried convincing her to get private security, but she insists that it isn’t necessary.
D.C. Calhoun:   Do you have an opinion as to whether she has done anything to warrant such treatment from the public?
Clark:               She has done nothing but try and run her business. She has me send ten percent of profits to charities at the end of each business month.
D.C. Calhoun:   By the way, Ma’am, who provided Gillette the funds to start her gallery in the first place?
Clark:               Her parents, Bert and Elaine Gillette.
D.C. Calhoun:   She had backing by her parents?
Clark:               Yes she did. They hoped that she succeeded at something for once in her life.
D.C. Calhoun:   Now, when you were at her residence the day of the alleged murder, are you positive that Gillette did not leave the property?
Clark:               Positive!
D.C. Calhoun:   No further questions, Your Honour.
Court:             Miss Clark you may step down. Any additional witnesses on behalf of the People?
D.A. Novak:       Your Honour, the People call Nigel Prestwick.
CLERK SWEARS IN THE WITNESS
AND HAS WITNESS STATE HIS NAME.
D.A. Novak:      How do you know the defendant Ms. Gillette?
Prestwick:       She had been accused of stealing money from the Prestwick Foundation, making donations to recipients which supposedly were her. However, the case was closed due to the money being replaced.
D.A. Novak:      Despite this, recently you decided to press embezzlement charges, correct?
D.C. Calhoun:   Objection! Mr. Prestwick was put under duress and blackmailed to press charges by Detective Olivia Benson and Detective Ashok Ramsey.
Court:             Objection sustained.
D.A. Novak:      Requesting permission to approach the bench, Your Honour.
Court:             Granted.
D.A. NOVAK AND D.C. CALHOUN
APPROACH THE STAND.
Casey runs her lithe fingers through her hair as she lets out a frustrated sigh, glaring at Rita as though the woman herself had committed the murder. Rita simply quirked a brow, an amused smile tugging slightly at her lips, “What is the issue, Novak? We both know that Prestwick was blackmailed into pressing those charges by Benson and Ramsey.” The Judge gives Casey a look of disbelief “Is this true?”
The red head supresses the urge to roll her eyes and cuss Rita out and deny it, but she was under oath and getting caught out in a lie wouldn’t end well for anyone. “It’s hardly blackmail. Benson and Ramsey just took a photo of Prestwick in a compromising position and said that he either go ahead with embezzlement charges or they show the videos of him to his wife. At least it’s not fuc- At least it’s not murder” she hisses out angrily.
Rita shakes her head and looks at the Judge “Can the witness be removed from the stand because of this, Your Honour?” The Judge nods and motions for them to return to their respective places. A thoroughly perturbed Casey makes her way back and scribbles something down on paper, throwing one last glare at Rita; The older woman returns to sit beside the defendant, whispering in her ear “the Judge is going to dismiss the witness. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure you are found not-guilty.”
Court:             The witness, Nigel Prestwick is dismissed due to unscrupulous methods being used in order to get charges pressed against the defendant.
Court:             Mr. Prestwick you may step down. Any additional witnesses on behalf of the People?
D.A. Novak:    Your Honour, the People call Detective Ashok Ramsey.
CLERK SWEARS IN THE WITNESS
AND HAS WITNESS STATE HIS NAME.
D.A. Novak:      Detective, how do you know the defendant?
Ramsey:           I have been investigating her for a while now for tax evasion, and embezzlement.
D.C. Calhoun:   Objection! Relevance. We are here because the defendant has been accused of murder, not tax evasion and embezzlement where the charges have already been dropped.
Court:             Objection sustained. Change line of questioning or dismiss the witness.
D.A. Novak:      Fine. The prosecution rests.
Court:             Defence Counsel Calhoun, do you wish to cross-examine?
D.C. Calhoun: No, your Honour.
Court: Detective Ramsey you may step down. Any additional witnesses on behalf of the People?
D.C. Calhoun:   The defence calls the Chief of Detectives, Muldrew.
CLERK SWEARS IN MULDREW AND
ASKS HIM TO STATE HIS NAME.
D.C. Calhoun:   Fancy seeing you here, Chief Muldrew.
Muldrew:         It has been awhile, Ms. Calhoun.
D.C. Calhoun:  You have had previous encounters with my client where you, and a previous witness Mr. Prestwick-
D.A. Novak:     Objection. Relevance, what does this have to do with the current case?
D.C. Calhoun:   There will be a follow up question, your Honour.
Court:             Overruled. Get to the point, Calhoun.
D.C. Calhoun:   As I was saying… Your previous interactions with my client have been in regard to previous charges being dropped, yes?
Muldrew:         Yes, that’s correct.
D.C. Calhoun:   Is it true that with this case, you said to Olivia Benson, Ashok Ramsey, and Elliot Stabler that unless they can prove definitively that my client, Ms. Anne Gillette was the culprit, that they would be on their own?
Muldrew:         Well…
D.C. Calhoun:   Is it true or not, Chief Muldrew?
Muldrew:         Yes it is.
D.C. Calhoun:   Did you think that there was enough evidence that pointed towards Ms. Gillette before the investigation had begun formally?
Muldrew:         It was hard to say at that time-
D.C. Calhoun:   It’s a yes or no question, Chief.
Muldrew:         No, I didn’t.
D.C. Calhoun:   Upon finding out that Ms. Gillette was in the company of Miss Clark, whom I might add has no criminal record, the time Ms. Gillette committed the alleged murder, did you think that your team was desperate to get her behind bars seeing as she has gotten off previous charges?
Muldrew:         …yes.
D.C. Calhoun:   My apologies, Chief Muldrew, I didn’t quite catch that, could you repeat yourself a bit louder into the microphone please?
Muldrew:         Yes I did- do think that the detectives were just wanting to see Ms. Gillette put behind bars because they were unable to get her on prior charges.
D.C. Calhoun:   Were you aware of the methods the detectives used in order to get Mr. Prestwick to go through with pressing charges?
D.A. Novak:       Objection. Relevance.
D.C. Calhoun:   It was during this current investigation that Mr. Prestwick was blackmailed. The question is relevant.
Court:             Overruled. Might do you some good to pay attention, Novak.
D.C. Calhoun:   Chief Muldrew, your answer please.
Muldrew:         No, I was not aware of it until today.
D.C. Calhoun:   Were you also unaware of Ms. Gillette being set-up so that a confession could be coerced out of her in unusual and stressful circumstances?
Muldrew:         No, I wasn’t aware of that. By this point I did not see enough solid evidence to link Ms. Gillette to the crime, so the team were off on their own.
D.C. Calhoun:   Were you aware of what Detectives Benson, Ramsey, and Stabler were up to, would you have let them continue on their warpath?
Muldrew:         No, I wouldn’t have. There is a right way and a wrong way to go about investigating crimes, especially ones as high-profile as this.
D.C. Calhoun:   No further questions, your Honour.
Court:             District Attorney Novak, you may cross-examine.
D.A. Novak:       No thank you, your Honour.
Court:             Chief of Detective Muldrew, you may step down. Defence Counsel Calhoun, does the defence wish to call any witnesses?
D.C. Calhoun:   The defence calls the defendant, Anne Gillette.
CLERK SWEARS IN MS. GILLETTE AND ASKS HER TO STATE HER NAME.
D.C. Calhoun:   Ms. Gillette, prior to the incident, how was your gallery doing?
Gillette:           It was doing well thanks to my assistant.
D.C. Calhoun:   When did you hire Miss Clark for that position?
Gillette:           It seems like so long ago. I think it was roughly around mid-January.
D.C. Calhoun:   Why did you decide to hire Miss Clark as an assistant after unsuccessfully trying to run galleries in the past?
Gillette:           My- My parents they… thought that I deserved one more chance to do something that I was- am passionate about. I didn’t want to disappoint them again because that’s all that I seemed capable of doing. So… I looked around and discovered that most successful gallery owners have assistants to help them.
D.C. Calhoun:   Has Miss Clark met the deceased before?
Gillette:           She has.
D.C. Calhoun:   Was she aware of you being the sole heir to the estate?
Gillette:           She was not until my parents brought it up in conversation one day.
D.C. Calhoun:   Was she, Miss Clark, aware of how strained your relationship with your parents had been?
Gillette:           No. I didn’t think the past would be beneficial towards the future of my business as well as re-building the relationship with my parents. I wanted her to have an unbiased opinion of them.
D.C. Calhoun:   Were your parents still happy together?
D.A. Novak:       Objection! The defendants answer would be hearsay.
Court:             Objection sustained.
D.C. Calhoun:   Did you have concern for your father’s mental well-being before he killed your mother before himself?
Gillette:           Of course, but I- I didn’t- I never thought he was capable of… killing my mother… He was your typical man, didn’t really like discussing mental health but I knew that he would occasionally see someone. I- I don’t know what changed in those twenty-four hours…
D.C. Calhoun:    Why was the trip postponed until the day the deceased were found dead?
Gillette:             I suggested that they wait another day because my mother was still recovering from the flu. I didn’t think travelling at the time would be a pleasant experience due to her still being ill. I know from personal experience that traveling while sick is absolutely miserable, so I only wanted both my parents to enjoy their time.
D.C. Calhoun:    Were you and Miss Clark actually packing at that hour for a flight to Paris?
Gillette:           Yes we were.  We had done an online check-in for the flight so that by the time we made it to the airport we wouldn’t need to stress over running late.
D.C. Calhoun:     No further questions.
Court:               Cross examination, District Attorney Novak?
D.A. Novak:       Ms. Gillette, you have a history of failure and criminal charges, correct?
D.C. Calhoun:    Objection. Relevance to the current case as no charges were successfully pressed.
Court:             Sustained. Change line of questioning.
D.A. Novak:     You spent all the money you were given in your trust fund from your parents, correct?
D.C. Calhoun:   Objection. Relevance.
D.A. Novak:     There will be a follow-up question, your Honour.
Court:         Overruled. That question better be relevant, Novak.
D.A. Novak:       Thank you, your Honour. Ms. Gillette, your answer please.
Gillette:           I did, yes.
D.A. Novak:      Is it true that you were upset that your mother had been discussing whether or not to remove you from their will?
Gillette:           I was, but-
D.A. Novak:       Did you threaten to kill your mother if she did not keep you on the will?
D.C. Calhoun:   Objection. Leading question.
Court:               Sustained.
D.A. Novak:     Why was your name still on the will if your mother had reason to remove you from it?
Gillette:         How would I know that?
D.A. Novak:     Miss Clark said that you often find yourself getting involved in altercations, is this true?
Gillette:         Yes. She said it under-oath so why would she lie when the consequences would be more severe than just telling the truth?
D.A. Novak:     I’m surprised you know the consequences, Ms. Gillette, but it’s not entirely surprising seeing as you have had run-ins with the law before-
D.C. Calhoun:   Objection. What is the point?
Court:             Sustained. Hurry up and get to the point, Novak.
D.A. Novak:     Your history of run-ins leads one to believe that you are rather volatile. Have you ever hit or injured one or both of your parents?
D.C. Calhoun:   Objection. Relevance.
Court:             Overruled. Novak, continue.
D.A. Novak:     Thank you. Ms. Gillette?
Gillette:         No. I haven’t.
D.A. Novak:     I find that hard to believe, Ms. Gillette seeing as, if we are to believe what Miss Clark has been saying is true, you often react physically when an altercation arises.
Gillette:         I act in self-defence. I have never gone out of my way to deliberately injure someone! You can’t blame me for my parent’s death when I wasn’t even there!
D.A. Novak:     Yes, Ms. Gillette, I do blame you. No further questions, your Honour.
Court:             Ms. Gillette, you may step down. Defence Counsel Calhoun, any further witnesses?
D.C. Calhoun:   The defence rests.
Court:             We will now hear closing arguments of counsel. District Attorney Novak you may proceed.
D.A. Novak:     Members of the jury – the evidence is undisputed that the defendant, Ms. Gillette brutally murdered her parents. The evidence shows that Ms. Gillette has a history of run-ins with the law as well as physical altercations. She also is clearly incapable of being smart with her money, and seeing as she is the sole heir to the Gillette Estate she has more than enough motive to commit this atrocious act. Ms. Gillette’s mother had been contemplating removing her from the will which, the defendant admitted, upset her considerably. The detectives investigating this case have reason to believe that this was indeed a homicide committed by Ms. Gillette and not a murder-suicide committed by Mr. Bert Gillette!
Court:         Defence Counsel Calhoun, you may proceed with your closing argument.
D.C. Calhoun:    Members of the jury. My client, Ms. Gillette, is not guilty of this charge. The investigation was unjust from the start; Ms. Gillette was coerced into her confession under rather dubious circumstances, and Prestwick was blackmailed into pressing charges. The detectives have been gunning for Ms. Gillette to be sent down from the beginning. We have even heard from Chief Muldrew that he thought the detectives were out of order and were behaving inappropriately considering how high profile that this case is. Miss Clark and Ms. Gillette were at Ms. Gillette’s residence preparing for their flight and we have heard in Miss Clark’s testimony that Ms. Gillette did not leave the premises between the hours of two and five am. It is clear that there is an unfair bias towards Ms. Gillette which has narrowed their perspective. Bert Gillette had a history of mental health issues and unfortunately it seems that they got the better of him resulting in the untimely death of Elaine Gillette before he took his own life. Ms. Gillette did not kill her parents. She is not guilty.
Court:       Court is adjourned while the Jury retire to deliberate.
As soon as the Judge has left the room as well as the Jury, the courtroom is filled with the sound of people talking, only just able to be passed off as aggressive whispering. Rita lets out a breath she felt like she had been holding since Anne took the stand but surprisingly, she held her own and didn’t have one of her notorious outbursts. She sorts her papers out and puts them in her folder, a somewhat cocky smirk on her face, “I have a good feeling about this, Ms. Gillette.” Anne laughs lightly and stands up alongside Rita “I would expect nothing less from you, Ms. Calhoun. You are one of the best after all.”

Could you do a caregiver Elliot Stabler one. I have never seen anyone write any agere stories with him.
No problem! Sorry this took so long! I got really busy 😅 Hope you don’t mind that these are headcannons for now, but if you’d like a full story, just ask and I’ll write one up! - Prince
Sorry this kind of morphed into Elliot and Liv as caregivers for a hot moment!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Caregiver! Elliot Stabler Headcanons
Warnings: Panic Attack, Mentions of SVU Season 13, Episode 1 and SVU Season 22 Episode 9
- Elliot honestly wasn’t expecting to end up with another kiddo, even if they technically weren’t his kid. Funny how things work out, huh?
- He’s been around the block before in parenting/caregiving, so he would be one of the more stern types!
- Because of that, Elliot is more immune to puppy eyes than most.
- “Daddy? Can I pleaseeee stay up?” You beg, giving him puppy eyes
- “Kiddo, it’s bed time.” Elliot softly insists.
- His hugs are strong and tight, and also very warm. One of the best types of a hug that a caregiver can have :)
- No. 1 Daddy
- He enjoys calling you names such as “Little One, Kiddo, Buddy, Champ, and Sport.”
- He’s a lot gentler with you then he is with most people.
- Structure and Communication becomes very important to him when it comes to taking care of you.
- He’s very over protective of his little one, especially if they’re one of his co-workers in SVU or OC!
- Elliot, when he finds out, accepts it right off the bat. Out of all of the things he’s seen in his years of SVU, this isn’t the weirdest coping method he’s seen.
- With your permission, he eventually ends up telling Olivia.
- If you end up with him as your caregiver before he disappears for ten years, you struggle when he leaves without a word.
- Thankfully, Olivia knew, and stepped in sometimes. The two of you bond over your shared grief over Elliot.
- The two of you were called into Cragen’s office, not long after the shooting occurred. You or Olivia hadn’t heard from Elliot since the shooting, and the two of you were getting worried. Then both of your worlds change with 5 words.
 “Elliot put his papers in.”
- The two of you throw yourselves into work at first, trying to cope with the grief and the loss. He had been such a huge part of both of your lives for the last decade, and now he wasn’t there.
- The first time you regress without Elliot there is after a long shift. You’d been wrapped up so tightly in this case, that all you wanted to do was go home and nap.
-Things never come easy for you, do they? Apparently not.
- As you’re walking out, you hear some music playing. Some painfully familiar music, that just so happens to be one of the triggers for your PTSD. Cue panic attack, and regression.
- You immediately make a 180, beelining towards the nearest bathroom, panicking. You end up running into Olivia, who knows because Elliot talked to her about it sometimes after he found out about your regression.
- She can tell something’s off, by the look on your face and just the general aura of panic.
“Kiddo?”
- Olivia tries out nervously, not sure if it would be appropriate to call you by your actual name at the moment. She gently approaches your shaking form, concerned for you. You respond to that name, bright big panicked green eyes looking up to meet hers.
- “Hey, hey, easy now. It’s going to be okay Honey. Can you take some deep breaths for me?” She asks, demonstrating.
- You shakily follow her demonstration.
- Olivia is quick to praise, “Good job, Kiddo. Can you tell me how old you are right now?’
- You hold up 3, changing it to 4, and then back to 3 quickly.
- “Do you mind if I come stay at yours, tonight Kiddo? I don’t feel comfortable leaving you like this.” Olivia asked. You agreed.
- The two of you got back to your apartment, and at some point during the night, you’re on her lap bawling about how much you missed your daddy. Olivia chokes back tears as she tries to reassure you, but she can’t help but feel a little bit of anger against Elliot. Why would he do this? Leave both you and her like this? Especially you?
- For the next ten years, you’re mostly a solo regressor as you try to take care of yourself in you regression for the most part. It just doesn’t feel right to add another burden to Olivia, asking her to fill Elliot’s shoes.
- She does become the cool Auntie Liv, though! Not like she wasn’t already, but she just became even cooler.
- There are some moments where you just need someone, though, and that’s when Auntie Liv swoops in to help you out.
- Of course, that all gets messed up, when Elliot comes back.
- You’re waken up after a long shift, by Liv calling you to get to the hospital, a cop’s wife was the victim of a car bomb.
- You just weren’t expecting the wife to be freaking Kathy Stabler.
- The first face you see when you turn the corner makes your jaw drop. It’s Elliot.
- He grins, simply stating, “Hey you.”
- Olivia appears not long after, her guilty yet displeased face meeting yours.
- You feel anger. A lot of anger. You stride up to him and slap him, growling,
“You jerk. How dare you. You abandon me and Olivia for 10 years, without a word, and you just come waltzing back in my life with just a ‘Hey you?’. Well, Mr. Stabler, That is not how this is going to work. You don’t realize how much you hurt me and Olivia. You don’t realize how much you missed.
- Elliot looks shell shocked. Olivia looks proud that you were willing to say the words she couldn’t.
- You and Olivia get filled in by Fin. Only here for a trip, and decided that they were going to show up at Olivia’s award ceremony. That feeling inside of you that was anger? Sadness mixed with anger, creating a foul mood for you.
- That night, Olivia ends up calling Lucy to stay at hers overnight and crashing at yours, correctly predicting that you were going to regress, and young too.
- You’re sobbing into her shoulder, when she silently decides that she’s going to give Elliot a piece of her mind about this whole situation. Olivia is concerned for you, and also for herself.
- If Elliot ever thought he was going to get away with not talking about this, he thought wrong.
- Things are awkward between the three of you for a while.
- It’s not until Kathleen, Liv, and you are eating out at lunch one day and she asks the two of you help to intervene with Elliot about his PTSD.
- You’re in the apartment with Elliot’s children and Liv when Elliot comes home.
- His eyes sweep the room, and he asks,
“What is this?”
- “This is an intervention.” Kathleen simply states.
- “Well okay, what are we intervening about?” Elliot asks.
- “Your PTSD.” Maureen simply chimes in.
- “You scream in your sleep.” Eli points out.
- “We love you Elliot, but you’re worrying us right now with this.” Olivia steps in quickly.
- “Please go get some therapy, El.” You summed up.
- “I love you all.” is his simple response.
- It isn’t much longer after that that you, Liv, and Elliot end up sitting down to talk about your regression.
- It’s a warm summer day, and you’re at your desk. You’ve been working insanely hard after Elliot came back, trying to avoid him except for a few awkward encounters. You know Olivia and Elliot have been giving you worried looks for a while, but you don’t really care.
- It’s just you and Olivia working right in the precinct right now, all the others have not yet arrived. Elliot walks in, and you barely give him a nod in greeting before returning to your work as he heads to Olivia’s office.
- After a few minutes, Olivia calls you into her office. You get up, grumbling under your breath. You walk into the office, leaning against the wall with your arms crossed. Elliot and Olivia are in the office as Olivia closes the door and Elliot shuts the blinds. They both turn to face you, and then Elliot speaks, in parallel to his daughter.
“This is an intervention.”
- You raise your eyebrow, tilting your head curiously. You ask, “What are we intervening on?”
- Olivia jumps in, “Why you haven’t regressed since the night Elliot came back. And why you’re overworking yourself.”
- You challenge, knowing that she’s right, “How do you know that I haven’t regressed since I came back?” You’re not even bothering to even go near the overworking conversation that you, Olivia, and even Elliot have had multiple times since you joined SVU.
- “You’re more irritable when you haven’t regressed in a while and need to. Also your reactions to triggers get more extreme.” Elliot added.
- You take a double take, and mumble disrespectfully, “Congratulations to the Caregiver who abandoned me without a word for 10 years for still remembering the signs of when I need to regress.”
- Elliot leans in, having heard this. He asks firmly, “What did I just hear from you, Little One?”
- You snap, “You don’t get the privilege to call me that anymore! You just up and left for 10 years without a word and you think you can walk back in and take your place as my daddy again within a second?”
- Olivia rests a hand on his shoulder, almost as if she’s expecting him to go off. Elliot sags, almost as if he’s admitting defeat.
- “I don’t think I can, but if you’d let me I’d like to try.”
- He searches through his pockets, eventually turning up an small plush that you’d left at his house not long before the shooting. It had been on of your favorites. He hands it to you, explaining, “I never forgot.”
- You gasp, looking up into his solid blue eyes and then back down to your plush, hugging it slightly.
- Elliot admits, “I know I messed up, but I’d like to fix it.”
- Olivia adds in naturally, explaining “That’s why all three of us have the day off, if you don’t mind? Give you the day to regress, and that way all three of us can work on this together?
- You look up, seeing the look in Olivia’s eyes and the hopeful gleam in Elliot’s.
- You agree, asking “Where to?”
- Olivia answers, “Yours, if you don’t mind?”
- You answer, “No, I don’t.”
- The three of you head to your apartment.
- When all three of you walk in the door, it’s like a switch flips. You turn to Olivia and Elliot, shyly announcing, “I’m hungry.”
- Elliot grins, playing along. “Want some Mac and Cheese kiddo?”
- You nod, answering “Yes, please.”
- Elliot picks up your smaller frame, smiling brightly. He turns to Olivia asking, “Do you mind if you make it? I’m going to go get this bugger changed into something that isn’t work clothes. Those aren’t comfortable, are they?” He asks rhetorically to you, before tickling you.
- You let out a giggle, looking the most relaxed either of the two of them has seen you in months.
- The three of you spent the day playing away, and at the end of it, when you’re giving large yawns, Elliot steps over, lifting you with ease into your bed.
- He smiles, as he says “Good night, kiddo.”
- You respond with a sleepy “Good night, Daddy.”
- Elliot feels significantly better about the entire situation now. He heads back to the couch, where Liv is sitting with a glass of wine.
- She smiles, softly telling him “I’m happy you managed to be able to take care of them again.”

The Chief District Attorney drafts an over-eager redhead with too much to prove, to replace Alexandra within just a few weeks. Liv allows the natural rhythm of the work to sweep her along, pouring herself into it in order to keep the loneliness and the mourning at bay.
Darcie and Alexander check in regularly enough, even after the sale of the apartment is settled, two months after being on the market. She is genuinely touched that they call, but dreads it, too - being forced to sit in her sadness for that brief period every few weeks.
Elliot checks in too, in his own way. For the first couple months he pretends that he is being subtle about it: asking her if she's eaten, glancing at her fridge every time he stops by her apartment, making sure she is the first to nap in the cribs if they have a lull. As Christmas approached, he suggested drinks or pizza outside of work more often. He made it clear Olivia was welcome to celebrate Christmas with his family.
But Liv didn't want company. She didn't want Christmas. All she wanted was her life back, and if she couldn't have that, she wanted to work. So, she put her head down and plodded forward.
It was late in January when the phone call came. Olivia grabbed the phone on the first ring, assuming it was a case about to break. On the other end of the line, though, was Alexander's voice. Immediately, a chill snaked down Liv's spine. The Cabots never called her at work.
"Olivia," Alex's father said quietly, and the knot of tears in his throat was audible, "we lost Darcie."
Liv went stiff in her wheeled chair, fixing her eyes on a pile of paperwork in front of her. She listened to Alexander's soft voice telling her the basic details, all the while thinking of how he believed he had lost his entire family, when Alex was somewhere still alive.
She assures him she will call when she arranges her flight, and ends the call, walking straight into Cragen's office where she tells him she needs time off.

Alex has never been so sick of a winter as she is of that first Winter in Wisconsin. She has three layers to strip out of as she comes through the door at the end of the day, and Sky impatiently dances circles as she does so, waiting for her dinner.
Her job now is at an insurance firm. Not selling it, thank God, mostly just auditing and reviewing applications. Like everything else she has undertaken, the job is easy and she excels. Her skills are painfully underused in the position, and she is already exhausted with it by January.
Tina, her 'sister,' continues to see her regularly. Behind closed doors, they are acquaintances at best; any hope of having a close friend in the woman had sailed very early-on. Alex is, in fact, surrounded by acquaintances - in co-workers, at the stores she frequents, in her neighborhood. But nobody gets close.
Close isn't an option any more. Every time she forgets to respond for a beat to 'Emily,' every time she sees someone new, Alex is chilled through, wondering if she has been found out. She worries about people asking the wrong questions, about strangers who look at her a moment too long.
Is this the day? she has asked herself a thousand times, Is today the day I die?
In the bathroom mirror, she runs her fingers over the scar from her bullet wound, and tries to convince her reflection that she is Emily now. She practices it like daily affirmations, trying to accept her isolation, her loneliness, her confusion.
Once Sky is fed, Alex reheats some chicken soup for herself (she has refused to cook anything but hot meals since the first snowfall), and takes it to the spot where she has set up her desk and PC. She has gotten into the habit of keeping up with the news in New York, and in Dallas where her parents are; in her email are dozens of newspaper subscriptions she uses to keep on top of SVU cases and other tidbits.
A foot rubs Sky absently under the desk as Alex eats her soup and reads. Outside the doors to her back patio, the snow swirls and flutters with no end in sight to the frozen dairyland's stasis. This is when she sees it.
It rolls up on the screen of her digital copy of The Dallas Morning News:
Beloved Wife of Prominent Local Attorney Passes, Community Mourns
Below it, she reads her parents' names . . . her own name, words that she knows are a part of her real life, but at first she can't make them feel real. Again and again, she reads the blurb about the death of her mother, and the recent death of herself.
My mother is dead.
Mom has died.
Alex repeats the fact, continues to paraphrase it, until she rises from the computer and walks back to the kitchen with her half-eaten soup. Laying the bowl in the sink, she stares blankly into the receptacle until she feels the burn of her fingernails cutting into her palm.
When she looks up from her bleeding hands, her eyes land on the telephone, and she briefly considers calling Jack Hammond and demanding that he give her back her old life. To attend her mother's funeral, to be held by Olivia, to feel something again.
In the end, Alex takes Sky to bed under a thick pile of blankets, and her sleep is filled with nightmares where snow falls in Dallas, and she wanders the streets, screaming for her mother, who cannot hear her call.

Olivia has never been to Texas, and cannot think of a worse reason for her first trip there as she touches down in Dallas and embraces Alexander Cabot, who seems diminished without the two blondes who have always bookended him.
She moves into mothering mode quickly, encouraging Al to eat and sleep. She keeps a wary eye on his drinking, and makes sure that he is working through any paperwork Darcie left behind. As parents most often do, the Cabots had originally arranged to leave everything to Alexandra. After the cartel case, some reshuffling had occured, and Olivia is touched and conflicted when she finds out that some of it was shuffled to her.
When he falls into a fitful sleep the night before the funeral, Olivia slips silently, curiously into Alex's teenage bedroom. It is mostly intact: the walls showcase 80s movie posters alongside Feminist icons and clippings of political milestones of the decade.
Liv breathes deep of the ghost of her lover in the space, fingers reverently gliding over academic awards and dusty photos where Alex's smile beams out at her. On the bookshelf, she reads titles one after the other - Rubyfruit Jungle nestled right up next to Little Women . . . Jane Rule, Roald Dahl, Beckett, a gathering of strange bedfellows that brings a wisp of a grin to Olivia's face.
Finally she sits down on the narrow, creaking bed and picks up the tattered stuffed penguin at the pillow. The sigh that pitches from her is swollen with melancholy.
"His name is Shivers," Al tells her from the doorway, and Liv jumps at the sound. He fills the doorframe with his height and heavy sense of his grief.
"Of course it is," Liv sniffs with amusement, giving the flightless bird another once-over.
"You should have him," Alexander furthers.
The amount of restraint that Olivia has to employ to keep from confessing that the man's daughter is still alive is utterly monumental in that moment. She binds it, snuffs it, locks it away again and again. No confession comes, just a smile for Alex's father, and a nod.
The morning following the funeral, Liv flies out of Dallas with Shivers in her suitcase, leaving behind her a dozen yellow roses on Darcie's grave.

In mid-April in Wittenberg, much to Alexandra's dismay, the ground remains frozen. Most of the snow slowly melts, however every now and then, a light dusting of fresh flakes comes down in the morning or overnight, then melts with the climb of the sun.
She has lost weight through the winter months, and the sharp planes of her face in the mirror are painful to acknowledge. No proper mourning of her mother had come to pass; Alex had simply filed the knowledge away as a part of the life she lost, and continued the monotonous plod forward in the strange play she now acted in each day.
Before April gave way to the slightly warmer thaw of May, the insurance firm where she was working threw a social mixer - to break up the long change of seasons, they explained. Tina, who was concerned about Alex's weight loss and isolation, had pushed hard for her to attend, even if it was just to get out of the house for something other than work and errands.
So, on the evening of the mixer, Alexandra found herself at a local drink lounge called Doubles, quietly sipping a Shirley Temple. Her co workers were made up mostly of the usual office-job types: clad in off-the-rack suits, soft-spoken and nerdy, often shy, and unfortunately not very interesting. Alex stayed hugged to the bar, drinking and trying to decide how long she had to stay in order for her escape to be considered polite rather than asocial.
"Mind if I join you?"
The man that belonged to the voice was from the Claims Adjustment department of the firm. Alex had seen him around now and then, perhaps even passed polite words with him - but she couldn't recall his name. She waved her hand in the direction of the stool next to her in reply, and he settled in.
"You don't remember me, do you?" he chuckled, watching for the bar tender to free up so he could order a drink.
"I'm not so great with names," Alex told him apologetically.
"Well, I remember your name - Emily." He had a great smile, and he flashed it at her. "Mine is Greg."
"Thanks for reminding me."
He called to the bartender for a rum and coke, then checked if she wanted a refill, which she declined. "Where were you before Wittenberg?" he asked.
"Tulsa, Oklahoma," Alex told him, pulling from the pool of lies and backstory that she had been taught in October.
"Ah," his green eyes twinkled with amusement, "That explains it then."
"Explains what?"
"Why you seem to disdain Wisconsin winter so much."
"I didn't realize it was so obvious," Alex smirked.
He laughed, wrapping both hands around his highball glass. "Were you in insurance there?"
"No. No, this has been a big change for me," she admitted softly.
"Do you miss it?"
Alex startled. "Oklahoma?"
"Whatever it is you left behind."
The blonde paused, her blue eyes locked on the liquor in her glass. "Yes," she confessed, "I do."
They stayed at the bar, drinking slowly, while Greg asked her innocuous questions that were neither boring nor bothersome. Alexandra could feel herself relaxing, loosing herself from the lonely exile she had been prescribed. Before the evening was over, she even caught herself smiling at him, wanting to laugh at his simple jokes.
When the event began to empty out, she declined his offer for a ride home, and was genuinely surprised when he accepted it without pushing back. Neither did he ask her for her number, or to see him again. Alex wondered on her taxi ride home if perhaps she had misinterpreted a man's intentions for the first time since adolescence.
Her worry was quashed, however, when Greg reappeared at the office beginning of the week, and asked her if she would like to have lunch together. She agreed, and it slowly became a regular thing.
By the time he finally asked her on what could be considered an actual date, Alexandra was anxious at the idea of going back to being alone.
She considered the long winter, in which she hadn't put up a tree or celebrated the holidays. Considered the death of her mother, and the nightmares that had followed, leaving her breathless and shaking. Alex even considered the ring, somewhere back in New York, that might never find its way onto the finger of the love she had been forced to abandon.
Facing down the idea of that isolation for the rest of her life was too much to bear.
Alex said yes.

Uncivilized S1xE7 Special Victims Unit: Episode Review
Tumblr media
what this episode is about: When a young boy is found raped and murdered in a field, a paroled sex offender who lives in the area is the prime suspect.
_______________________________________________________________
Olivia talking to kids is always heartwarming.
Tumblr media
Mrs Davis...I've seen her before! She's a crime scene tech on Criminal Intent! I've seen so many of these damn actors before already in seven episodes.
awwe Elliot, he looks so damned heartbroken looking at Ryan Davis' picture.
Cragen: "Alright people, what have we learned?" Olivia: "No one can handle crimes againest children." Jeffries: "And lesson get out after two years." Elliot: "Three, no one can handle the children."
First of all, Jefferies and Cassidy are the ONLY ones who get out after two years (or even before I don't remember). And I love that Olivia and Elliot say the same exact thing here! I don't even think Elliot heard Olivia say that earlier. He was so distracted by looking at Ryan's picture. For both Elliot and Olivia, it always seems to be the cases with kids that hurt them the most. Elliot because he has kids and can see his kids in every single child victim.
Torquil Cambell...That's a COOL name!
Tumblr media
Cassidy : "Ever think about having Kids?" Munch: “Why when I have you.” Cassidy: “I think about it all the time.”   um...Really!? I just don't see that jiving with the character.  Cassidy is like the eternal bachelor always playing but never settling. I never thought of him as a guy that looked to his future with some kids. Like when he gets with Olivia, she’s doing her best to live her life and move forward. She brings up children and I get the feeling that he doesn’t want kids with her.
Elliot's creep dad collected stamps. Maybe he wasn't written as an abusive manipulator of a man or maybe was...I don't know.
Tumblr media
Munch: "When I was a little kid my parents told me never to eat sweets." Cragen: "So as an adult you overcompensate?" Munch: "Yeah." Cassidy: "I'm guessing your parents also said you should never get married." Daaaammn! That's actually a sick burn! That's a shit ton of candy! OMG are you going to a party, Munch? Oh look this is another opportunity for Cragen to eat something.
Tumblr media
Inverted Jenny C3a. I know I've heard of this stamp. Looks it up. HOLY SHIT that stamp is worth $500,000!!!
Tumblr media
So turbit is a CMo, which probably means that he didn't kill Ryan. Because this is SVU there is always a twist.
Yelling neighbor who finds out Turbit was a CMo: "I let my son be alone with him (turbit)." um...that's your fault.
Soo...Turbit was high and thought the boy was dead and also attacking him. So Turbit may not have even moed this kid he was convicted for 11 years back. I knew it had to be something. Turbit is definitely weird but I don't know if I get the creep vibe from him.
Turbit: "I don't like needles." Who does?
Tumblr media
Elliot: "Where's Dickie?" my thoughts exactly Elliot. Go find your kid!
OMG Elliot yes run! Please, that ass! You can run in that direction anytime.
Bartender is telling Elliot that he never saw Turbit playing cards with anyone and that he left for a few hours and then came back. He tells this to Elliot right after he was up all night thinking about his little girl who lives with her mother and hoping that some creep doesn't do the same to her. I have suspicions about this guy. I think he's lying because he thinks the guy did it. I guess we will see.
So he choked the kid which is consistent with the chain thing but...did he molest him? The former victim just says he blacked out but it's not clear if he was molested.
Bartender: "Detective Stabler, I wasn't entirely straightforward with you the other day." I KNEW IT! Called that shit!
Tumblr media
Cragen is in this ALOT, like more than what I really remember.
They want Cragen and Co. to keep Turbin even though he has an alibi. Like - so they are going to send him away to prison even though he didn't do it because of his previous conviction. BUT what about the real killer. They are just going to let him go?
Dickie wants Elliot to talk to his class! OMG I want this!!! This is so cute he's just climbing those money bars and flipping himself over.
Elliot watching the dude across the street watching them while putting his socks back on his feet.
Dickie: "Looking for pedo**** dad?" ...how does this 6 year old kid know that word? Oh it was Danny Baker because he told Dickie that's what Elliot does. Dickie REALLY wants Elliot to talk to his class.
We see Elliots home life, like every episode when are we going to see Olivia's homelife. Like it would be a really interesting contrast. Just seeing scenes of Olivia home alone, talking to no one just cleaning or working on a laptop doing work stuff.
What is that hairstyle!? The psychiatrist looks like she stepped out of the 1800's.
Tumblr media
No DNA match. So...who did it? I really don't see those kids having done it. Maybe the dad. Otherwise I have no clue.
So now they have to break it to the parents.
Tumblr media
Olivia to Ryans parents: "We have some solid leads." - YOU DO? Who? Because idk who the hell is on your radar. I smell bullshit Olivia.
OMG elliot talking at Dickies school! YESSS!!! He's passing around his badge! I love how elliot looks to the teacher to ask her what he wants him to call the pe4os.
"What if your dads the one that's hurting you?" "Then you'll tell Dickie and he'll tell me." OMG this kid. Please be ok! This actually happened, had a friend's kid tell their parent that their friend was being hurt by someone in their family. It's important to educate kids with this kind of stuff because sometimes people are more than creepy and knowing that they can go to someone safe so that stuff won't happen to them is sooo important!
I just love how Elliot and Olivia are back their whispering to each other during the hearing. Off in their own little world.
DAAAAAAMMMN! Ryan's dad just came out of now where and shot Turbin like 5 times!
Tumblr media
Oooh so the kids really did kill Ryan. They were lying about having seen Turbin the whole time. What do you wana bet?
Seeing Elliot and Cassidy having a heartfelt conversation about kids so soooo bizarre. Like I feel like I'm in lala land. I like seeing Stabler mentoring Cassidy but have they ever had a relationship like this?
So the two boys looked online and found Turbit on the sex offenders registration list. And then Jimmy became obsessed with it so they they did it. Jimmy sounds like a psychopath.
Killer says about Ryan: "Kid was a loser anyway." cold hard psychopath, it's a interesting contrast in which the killer has no empathy or remorse for what he did. But when Turbit is talking to the psychiatrist he expresses remorse and says he doesn't know what's more horrifying. What happened to the boy or that he was capable of doing it.
________________________________________________________________
Final Thoughts: This was the best episode so far. This episode is uncomfortable but it's excellently written. Turbit is not the innocent man wrongly accused. He's the sex offender, wrongly accused. Which color everyone's perspective on him. Instead of innocent until proven guilty, he's guilty until proven innocent. We even have a bartender who lies and says Turbit wasn't at his bar at the time of the murder. It's a great episode that really makes you think about the justice system and the people who play in it.

This time Fin caught him sexually assaulting her in the nap area of the SVU precinct, used by SVU to rest, now and again when they get tired and can't think straight, during precinct lockdowns, while they're working huge complex cases.
Shortly after he returned, they became partners once again, before Cragen the old SVU captain , her ex boss retired  after the Lewis case in late 2013... he fired Stabler's crazy ass and the NYPD took his shield for good, in the early summer of 2013. Which Stabler hated, never getting his way, though any one who has a brain and common sense, knows you don't always get your way, and or aren't always right all the time, or perfect.
In late fall of 2013 after the lewis case was wrapped up, and Mariska and all his other living victims were safe. Mariska became a Sergeant and took over the SVU unit from Captain Donald Cragen in late October of 2013. Mariska does her best to head up and keep her squad a tight knit bunch and working well together, with little to no issues as possible.
While balancing in time with her son Noah Porter-Benson, comes ahead of her job and love life. She does the best she can, to balance her job, family, friends and dating, Although she is still in love with one particular woman, but she has no idea if she'll ever come to see it or not, so she tries to push through the pain and move on without him as best she can and focus on the positives in her life.
Early Life and The Beginning of her Career with SVU
Mariska and her identical twin sister Olivia were born, Mariska Renée Benson and Olivia Margaret Benson, On January 23, 1964, Nassau County, Long Island, New York. Mariska and her identical identical twin sister Olivia "Liv" Benson, were the products of the rape of their mother Serena Benson in 1963 by a food salesman named Jacob Holmes, who later committed suicide. At the time of the rape, Serena had been working in the cafeteria of Columbia University.
Mariska's mother, Serena was an alcoholic who tossed aside her one daughter Olivia, Mariska's identical twin sister away and left her daughter Olivia in the adoption/foster care system as a baby, to grow up there. Meanwhile Serena decided to keep and raise her other daughter Liv's twin sister Mariska, as a single mother, and also emotionally, physically, mentally and verbally abused Mariska throughout her childhood, adolescent years growing up. Her mother Serena even went as far, to hide from Mariska, that she had a sister out there, being raised in the system, not just any normal type of sister... but an identical named Olivia.
Mariska for most of her life, was always suspicious that there was more to her story , of how she was conceived and brought into this world by her mother Serena, then what her mom Serena lead her to believe for all those years, when she was growing up, even after joining the Navy after high school, as she did. Then after her exiting the Navy after a 16 year stint in the service, and Navy life.
She knew in her gut, that there was more to the story of their family, then what her mom Serena told her, however back in the day, it was much harder to prove or dig up stuff about those in the system, and long lost relatives, plus kinship analysis was stiff a very new DNA test the law enforcement and health care fields had just developed. Mariska though, continued to question her life, and formative years growing up in long island as she did as well as, her mother Serena’s secrets.
That is until Serena passed away not long after, Mariska joined svu as a 2nd grade detective years ago. Serena died from injuries sustained in a fall when she was drunk, in early 2000, After which it left Mariska still questioning the feeling in her gut, that she had more family out there, she didn’t know about all her life, and she wanted answers. Mariska did want to know if she did have siblings out there, or any cousins, etc.
So she asked her then boss Captain Don Cragen, and her trusted coworkers during those days, her early ones at SVU as a detective.... to help her get and run a kinship DNA analysis test on her. Which they helped her do an keep hush hush, the kinship DNA test, came back positive and did show results  that she had a sibling out there, not just a sibling, but a sister. However the records of her name were sealed and closed, the only other thing that the test results showed was the sister, also grew up where Mariska did in Long Island, and that she grew up in the system.
Which left Mariska more curious, and anything to find out, who this sister was, she  had, her name, etc. At the same time the passing of their mother Serena, left Mariska, even more deeply angry, as well as, a bit saddened, due to the fact that she never got closure with her mother Serena before she passed away, never got to tell her crazy mom how she felt, how much she had her hurt, etc.
While investigating a case called (Payback) in 1999, Mariska and Serena seemed to care about each other a great deal. Serena was worried about Mariska working in the Special Victims Unit. Then also months later in (1999) while investigating a case labeled Wanderlust, Mariska said to her good friend ADA Casey Novak, that her first love was an older woman and that she "couldn't have loved her more".
Then months later while investigating a case called Taken (2000) Serena dies as the result of a fall down the subway stairs across from a bar. Mariska says Serena was a drunk. Then later that same year also, while investigating an Abuse case in (2000) Mariska becomes involved with a child who was neglected by her parents that way Mariska felt neglected by her mother.
Then while investigating a case labeled ; Intoxicated in (2005) Mariska tells Casey Novak about an incident when she was 16. An older student of her mother asked her to marry her and when she told Serena that she was leaving, her mother who had been drinking flew into a rage and went after her with a broken bottle.
During her brief visits to Philadelphia and Florida (2007) Mariska finds out about the man who raped her  and her twin sister Olivia’s mother, and others. He knew about his daughters and kept track of them both. He once tried to call Mariska but got Serena instead. Mariska Graduated from Cornell university. She admitted to her SVU teammates in 2007 while they were investigating a case then , they labeled (Stalked).

( but you can if you want ! ) ( tova would… die for each of them, any time any place, but also… you know how ur sibs are your best friends but also your worst enemies? .. yeah. when they’re good, they’re reALLY good - but when they’re bad, mom or dad probably has to step in eventually to referee the arguments. the dynamic would prob be different depending on whether tova is older or younger ; if she’s the eldest, then her natural protectiveness extends to them, and if they’re older… well, same, but she’s probably a little bit TOO textbook ‘annoying younger sister’ a lot of the time. it is very possible that vidar isn’t close to this child due to him not being around for AWHILE - he was in the army from age 18 to early 30s but would come home whenever he was able to - which was NEVER enough! so they could have a relationship where vidar tries and ur chara just doesn’t want that, ur chara looks up to him but they don’t rly know how to interact , etc! it is also an option for the chara to be a TWIN but thats completely up to u! please check out vidar’s INTRO for background info and more fc options! )

GRÁINNE CASSIDY, our SOPHIE RUNDLE fc is looking for her SIBLINGS / TWO OLDER, TWO YOUNGER who look like FINN COLE, OLIVIA COOKE, CILLIAN MURPHY, EMILY BROWNING, DOUGLAS BOOTH / ANY FACE CLAIM who are anything from 20-40 YEARS OLD. you DON’T have to contact prior to applying. TRIXIE ESPINOZA DECKER MORNINGSTAR, our CHRISTIAN SERRATOS fc is looking for her ( TWO ) YOUNGER HALF-SIBLINGS VIA CHLOE & LUCIFER who look like ANY HALF WHITE, HALF MEXICAN FC who are anything from 16-22 YEARS OLD. you DON’T have to contact prior to applying. ( i’m tweaking the timeline that i’m mainly working from - the lucifer tv show - just a bit to allow for a broader age range of siblings, but what i waNT here is !! lil decker-morningstar kids !! i’m not even fussy on whether they’re like, bio or not, i just think… trix would be an awesome big sister, and it would REALLY solidify the fam connection here for there to be a lil fam running abt the place. )
WILLIAM WADE WILSON, our BRANDON FLYNN fc is looking for a FULL SIBLING connection who looks like CAITLIN STASEY, MERRITT PATTERSON, NINA DOBREV, DAISY RIDLEY, COLIN FORD, ALEX LAWTHER, TYLER YOUNG, THOMAS HAYES, UTP+  who is 16-17, 22+ you DON’T have to contact prior to applying at willicmwilson. ( Okay, I’m not super duper picky with this connection- I really just want to explore their relationship/the family dynamic. Also, it’s completely optional but I think it’d be cool to continue the whole 3 W tradition when naming them! Feel free to contact me if you do have any questions!)

Chapter Reviews: January 1-5, 2019
Desire & Decorum Chapter 3:
This is an awesome chapter. I couodn't afford the disguise, but I still made it in one piece. Not to mention that fighting against the highwaymen was fun. This proves that MC should start learning what it truly means to be Countess: taking responsibility for the wellbeing of others. At the same time, I wondered how she managed to fight well without training, and the response was funny. Apparently imagining that the enemy is Duke Richards is a fun way to get back on the highwaymen. Sad that it's a premium option, but it's worth it.
Regarding the pamphlet calling for the Prince Regent's overthrow, I think this Cabinet of Secrets focuses on digging up dirt on Duke Richards. I hope collecting more evidence of his misdeeds provides extra dialogue options like in Veil of Secrets. After reading it, I think Duke Richards is manipulating the people of England into rebellion so he could become King of England. If so, are there any other reasons besides claiming descent from the royal family? And will this put him in great contrast to the MC in terms of behavior towards the people, other people of high rank, and the government itslef?
The Heist: Monaco Chapter 5:
The escape was quite the curveball, and a pleasant one, no less. It was great to see Sonia's sense of honor as she rescued my MC from drowning. Even better, opening her up and bonding with her shows that she is no opportunist like Ansel. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised that she's a love interest, especially since she's on the cover. If so, she better watch out or else her heart will get stolen by MC. XD
Ansel has proven to be one persistent fellow, eh? Well, I welcome the challenge, and I can't wait to get the grifter into my crew.
High School Story: Class Act Chapter 13:
I think it's about time Rory receives the depth and emotion he/she deserves. For a forced love interest, it's ironic that I still don't know much about him/her compared to Ajay and Skye.
Typical of Ajay to not apologize afterwards. Perhaps his pride has taken over him. Look, I get that he wants enough funds to pay for Rory's mom's chemotherapy, but it's still no excuse for his refusal to apologize. When peeople say they were reminded of that infamous scene in RCD Book 1 Chapter 12, I gotta stress that there are differences, such as Victoria apologizing as soon as she could and not motivated by pride. In Danielle's case, she was upset because it concerned Rory and was motivated by her desire to get him/her on her good side.
As for Danielle, I couldn't get myself to forgive her immediately after what she had done. I get that some people will be like, "Wait, this is so unlike you." Let me explain this. It's true that I like some of the "mean girls" in Choices, particularly Becca, Violet, Olivia, and Victoria, they are not all the same. Each of them have differences in their story arcs that I've come to appreciate. In fact, one main reason why I like them is not because they belong to a certain "type" (I find it extremely narrow-minded and dumb to judge characters by "type"), but because they have a lot of depth that explains their motives well, have likeable traits like resilience and intelligence, and choose to be better than they are despite their past actions that could've brought them down. It certainly doesn't erase their initial behavior, but it gives them challenges they overcame. As for Danielle, I watched her premium scene on YouTube and still find myself missing that spark that explains her decisions and how she could change, either for better or worse. Not to mention that as I've mentioned earlier, she was only upset when her relationship with Rory could be jeopardized.
By the way, Skye rocks that witch costume! I can't wait to co-star with her on the play.
It Lives Beneath Chapter 13:
Once again, another great chapter. The revelation that Josephine wrote the journal entries wasn't surprising, especially since she wrote about meeting Cora. What surprised and excited me was when he talked about the gruesome way the Society exploited her. Using marlinspikes to torture her beyond the grave is just so gruesome no wonder Josephine is pissed.
I admit that I imagine a woman's voice narrating whenever I read the journal entries. I don't know why. Just a hunch.
Great, Dick the Warlock's back to stir trouble again. And he was never in jail, no less. I thought he was a loose end to the Society that could be easily discarded, similar to Beau Han. Not to mention the standoff against Vincent and Astrid is just the beginning of worse things to come. It was awesome to see Elliot alive and resisting Vincent's power.
Regarding Parker's thoughts on Chief Kelley, it reminds me of the scenario with Imogen trying to stomach the idea of her parents being up to no good. I feel bad for both of them, and in Parker's case, I can't imagine how it feels like for your surrogate father who pulled you out from abusive parents to be a no-good cultist. I sometimes wonder whether Chief Kelley was using him all along.
A Courtesan of Rome Chapter 9:
Another interesting chapter. With Syphax out of the picture for now, I can see more of Cassius and Antony. It was rather fun to watch the play mocking Caesar, though I didn't choose to go with him to the basilica. I don't feel comfortable pursuing a real person, even if he's a fictional version. Same goes for Cassius. I turned down a bath with him.
It sometimes irks me that Pixelberry uses the modern version of places, which are in ruins. The ampitheater, for instance, is ruins. Back whenit was in use it would've looked furnished and colorful. Why are we treated with the ruined version, PB?
Victus in Rome? Looks like he'll reunite with his daughter someday. I wonder whether he'll face against Syphax. As for the soldier, I chose to kill him because I think Victus has become vengeful enough to want to kill any horrible Roman along the way.
Sabina in Aquila's house? I really think she is his wife because she mentioned his return in an earlier chapter and described him as a cruel man, which suits Aquila's profile.
The Elementalists Chapter 12:
Another premium choice to go with Beckett, again. As much as I hate to admit it, Beckett's continued presence without any reason at all is making me like him less. It's ironic because he's my MC's primary love interest since Chapter 4, and it gets slowly cemented in Chapter 7. Not to mention I admire his intelligence despite his rather snobby attitude. And why is Aster paywalled again?
Honestly, I'm replaying this book once I have a lot of diamonds with me. That stealth outfit looks cool, and I need all I have to investigate who's after my MC. Impersonating Dean Goeffe was a piece of cake. Now all I have to do is find out who's in cahoots with Raife Highmore. My top suspects are Zeph, Beckett, and Everett Merkseyer.
Aside from another scene with Beckett, which I've grown bored of, it's a great chapter.

was that ( olivia wilde)? no, it’s just ( xandria monjeau). they are the ( 33) year old ( witch ). i heard they’re (charismatic and intelligent) but also ( manipulative and vengeful). rumor has it they ( haven’t ) pledged allegiance to the hollow. i must warn you, neutrality is not an option.
⚜ So as promised, a proper intro for Xandria Monjeau! ⚜
She’s a pretty powerful witch from Paris, France and she also happens to be the current Head Regent of The Levesque Covens which form the 8 family witch covens of Paris & the 4 family witch covens of Marseille, Strasbourg, Bordeaux and Manosque.(yep, the last place we all saw elijah in the S4 finale ;))
Her real name is actually Antoinette Labeau, but that is currently a secret from everyone here including her status as a French Regent Witch.
She's the slightly older half-sister of Kaleb Westphall, which is actually a very highly wc of mine for her XD I'll have to keep her family history a lil vague for now incase anyone picks up Kaleb in the future, but the main gist of what I have now is thatt, she's from a very old-standing,   powerful & very wealthy Witch family with the surname of Labeau in Paris. The Labeau family coven, is a part of this large & powerful ring of French witch covens called "The Levesque Covens".
Her dad had an affair with Kaleb's mom, which resulted in Kaleb and despite circumstances, somehow, those two kinda grow up very close to each other, having no other siblings and she cared for him greatly & loved him sm as if he was her full-blood brother and vice versa i think on kaleb's part. So you can imagine how utterly devastated she was when she learned of his horrible death in the hands of Finn and inadvertently due to the doings of the  whole Mikaelson family. So her foremost rage and hatred is on Finn, and Kol and Esther ofc, the latter two for using Kaleb's body and dragging him into this mess of stuff in the first place. So her main point of her masterplan for vengeance and revenge is Kol, Esther and Finn as her top 3 targets respectively. And then seeing as the Mikaelson's have done nothing but make things worse for so many innocent families in the past due to many different reasons/circumstances, she's probably now trying to harness a plan to get rid of the whole lot of them if possible.
She was originally a pretty decently powerful witch with a positive, quite compassionate and bright outlook on life, besides some other traits, and a pretty normal character with no big aims/ plans at being evil, but Kaleb's death and the circumstances surrounding it, was what changed her almost completely to a worse side she never knew really existed much in the 1st place and she became rather dark,  a lil twisted as her main outlook on life now is to bring hellish suffering & pain on those who have wronged Kaleb in order to avenge him & she also became a v highly ambitious woman.
For the past 9 years eversince his death, she's worked over-zealously hard at honing all of her witch skills to the best of her abilities, mastering  as many powers and learning many useful stuff and even turning into some dark magic for assistance. By now, she has earned her way as being a highly respected and rightful regent leader of The Levesque Covens.
Eversince Kaleb’s death , she had established  secret connections in NOLA who has been keeping tabs on the Mikaelson's doings and reporting to her very often. Thus, they told her about the Hollow shit that went down with the Mikaelsons and they spied Elijah, going to the clearing in the woods with Marcel and eavesdropped on Elijah's compulsion plan. So after she got the news abt that, she delightedly considered that to be her big break at finally executing her vengeance plan and perfectly vulnerable Elijah at that time was her perfect way in to worm her way into the Mikaelsons. So she sorta told her connections to knock him out with a very powerful spell and thus she kidnapped him over to Manosque, France  and perfected a whole scenario of him waking up in a ditch or something, so she "found him" and saved that poor amnesiac man. And ofc according to J’s backstory for ‘Elliot Monjeau’  -He had things with the E.M on it so she called him Elliot, told him he grew up in the country, that his parents were vineyard owners who died when he had an accident. He hit his head and had a brain injury, hence the memory loss and soon after he died, with vampire blood in his system cos a vampire got to him immediately after the accident while he was still half-alive but fatally injured. ;)
But then, this is when shit gt more intense and wicked on her part,  Xandria also at the same time, placed a very heavy dark hex on that poor vulnerable Elijah and fed him a big fat lie which was that he was her "husband" and they have a "son" (okie, so the boy is actually Kaleb's kid which was born after he died and the birth mom died at chidbirth too, so Xandria ofc v lovingly took him in and adopted him as her own son, and nvr told anyone else outside, her immediate family members that he was actually her half-nephew). She then placed a few fake memories of him falling in love with her, them having a 8 year old kid and they are pretty moderately rich family living in Manosque. She was careful to only PLACED A FEW FAKE MEMORIES, so that her story would tally with him having amnesia as a result from that "accident". Thus, over the past 3 years, ‘Elliot’  tried to "reconnect with his wife" but the most he got, was just caring about her a lot since she seemed to be a warm, nice and outgoing and good person & 'seemed to have a hella lot of patience for putting up with him not really remembering her much' And he ofc doesn't romantically love her as his heart will forever be with Hayley, his soulmate. But he does fall a little for the innocent "son" of his, who Xandria is also manipulating ever since having Elijah, as she also placed a powerful spell on that poor kid and altered his memories to include Elijah as his 'dad". Xandria really loves the boy and would die for him(so he’s her most vulnerable spot rn) , but eh, as u can see her brain is a lil twisted now due to being blinded with rage, hatred and vengeance for Kaleb, so she'll stop at nothing to succeed in her plans. Hence, her wrong mistake of tampering with the kid's memories *facepalm*.
Some months ago "being the hopelessy devoted loving wife" that she is, she suggested that "Elliot" do a renewal of marriage vows with her so as to maybe re-spark his "romantic feelings for her". He agreed cos he felt kinda guilty that he can't really remember his "loving family" that well. Thru that legal ceremony, she secretly and craftily placed a v dark binding spell, that links his life with hers in a way that if she dies, Elijah would too and with no hope of being resurrected. Oh and she lets him roam about to play his fav hobby of being a pianist and travel a bit here and there for small periods of time once in a while, as being "the supportive wife" she wants ‘Elliot’ to go find himself again and enjoy himself. (but she ofc has a spy or two following him in secret wherever he goes) So that's how he landed up in NOLA all these past few weeks without her at first.
And she has now arrived a lil too late, as his memories are back and he is "Elliot" no longer, so her gig is up in front of Elijah, who will ofc be demanding a furious explanation, but she'll just manipulatively smile and tell him of the linking spell behind their legal marriage ceremony, so he is legally her husband and ofc, he wouldn't want to dissapoint "their son"who misses his "dad" very much" and YES, DIS BITCH, DID BRING THE POOR BOY ALL THE WAY DOWN HERE xD
Elijah up till now, has no zero clue on her real identity as Regent Witch of the Levesque Covens or that her real name is actually Antoinette Labeau.so ofc he doesn't knw what her evil motives and reasons are for messing with him and his brain for the past 3 years. For the past 3 years, all  she told him that she was a normal half-human, half witch named Xandria who became a “Monjeau” when she married him (Elliot) &  who doesn't really like to tap into her witch heritage and is leading a normal human life with her son.
But now since Elijah is back to his former & real  identity, she will now be going around still called “Xandria Monjeau” and if she meets his family members or his friends, and if she ever has to leak her full name to them, she's going to just wickedly, calmly and charmingly tell them what she is telling Elijah rn, that she "oh she had a huge crush on him all this while and she needed a father for her dear sweet lil boy who wanted a dad and Elijah seemed like the perfect candidate and plus didn't she provide him with a happy, carefree and  normal life while he was living with them? oh and husband dearest can't divorce her cos of the son who still believes that Elijah is his dad and he wouldn't want to cause a massive heartbreak to the innocent , warm and purely loving boy who he had grown to somewhat love after all these 3 years ryt?” It’ll be up to J on whether he tells his family members of her linking spell whereby if she dies, he dies too XD.
So Elijah and maybe the rest of his closed ones might think she's some psycho manipulative witch bitch and maybe he doesn't really buy her current story, but she  ain’t ever gonna budge in revealing her true identity and real reasons for doing all this to him. Oh and atm, Hayley is going to be kept in the dark on Xandria’s wife connection to Elijah and her adopted ‘son’‘s, Samuel, nicknamed Sam for short, attachment to Elijah, for as long as possible. Xandria’s probably gonna humor Elijah’s demand that their marriage be kept a secret from Hayley, as she has him truly binded in a fix with her now, so this is no problem for her & thus she’s gonna try to make her presence scarce from Hayley in Nola, but who knows how long that will last aka how long before she amusedly can’t resist this temptation to annoy Hayley with this fact?:P
She currently hasn’t pledged any allegiance to Inadu (yet, but who know how desperate she might be to defeat the Mikaelsons in the much later future?:P)  She currently prefers to work on her own and be her own boss with the help of her own witch covens cos she's def not the kind to bow down/follow the lead of anyone right nowXD She's gonna slowly bid her time in NOLA to learn more angles on how to defeat the Mikalesons and to gather more resources for the perfect chances to attack her targets( Esther, Kol and Finn are her no.1 targets on her hit list of revenge plans)  when the time is right. XD Damn she's so evil and a lil messed up rn :P
So “Xandria Monjeau” is also currently presenting herself as slightly rich, pretty impulsive witch from France besides the other stuff I said earlier. And she’s also intelligent &  can be very charming, witty, friendly, nice, generous( not really genuine friendliness & niceness tbhXD), and at the same time, secretly very scheming, crafty and manipulative. The only genuine love she has atm is only for innocent, happy, warm and good-hearted 8 year old Samuel/ Sam.
So anyway, that’s the very lengthy deets on her and I apologize for the long read to anyone who can withstand reading this whole thing till the end. xoxo! To anyone else I haven’t had the chance to IM yet, if you would like to plot anything with Xandria just like this post or hmu! ;) <3

Name 5 tv shows you watch a lot
•*•*• 20th June 2017 •*•*•
5 shows that I watch frequently….
• “Law & Order: SVU” - Olivia Benson and Odafin “Fin” Tutuola are amazing! The others are cool too, but OB & OT have been in it since the beginning - with OT joining in season 2, I think. He replaced Michelle Hurd’s character and she went on to star in Blindspot, which I occasionally watch. I was conflicted about the original partnership between OB and Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) because ES was often too aggressive and it bothered me that OB’s character kept backing him up, even when his actions were questionable at best. That said, in more recent seasons (since ES left SVU), she has remarked on how her old partner would bend the rules and it wasn’t right. I was also very happy when OB adopted a baby/toddler, rather than the typical “meet someone, get married/pregnant, etc.” The show made it clear that it was tough and balancing a highly demanding job with being a single parent was never easy.
• “Criminal Minds” - I love the relationship Penelope Garcia and Derek Morgan have; I also think Garcia’s positive attitude, quirky style and the fact she’s not super slim like the others is perfect. I think the characters develop well through the series, though I never liked Lola Glaudini’s character and was quite relieved when she left. I also felt Thomas Gibson’s portrayal of the team leader seemed quite stiff and couldn’t warm up to “Jason Gideon” (Mandy Patinkin), so I was never really emotionally invested in their characters. I think everyone has a nice relationship with Dr Spencer Reid, with most being protective of his awkwardness and fact-spouting, but the relationship between him and JJ is particularly sweet. I find the behavioural analysis intriguing, though, and I’ve been hooked on it for years (same as L&O: SVU). I also enjoy the “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” show - I adore “Mae” and I think the group dynamic is nice. CM: BB has a small team of 5 and CM has a larger team varying between 7 and 10 members at a time, roughly.
• “iZombie” - Squish and I starters watching this on Netflix a while ago, just as one of those “pass the time”/“is probably cringey” shows. It is pretty cringey, but we did end up liking it enough to keep up-to-date on the episodes. Rose McIver looks awesome with the platinum hair (wig), super pale skin and dark eye makeup. I also quite like Peyton and Ravi’s characters, though I hope they unjumble the mess. As for Blaine, I hated him at first, then the character grew on me and now I’m undecided - I saw the actor first on Once Upon A Time (Netflix), which I used to binge-watch, but haven’t for a while.
• “Orange is the New Black” - this is tricky. I never jumped on the bandwagon with it, but I do like watching it with Squish. I’ve only seen the newer seasons and a some episodes of the first ones. I don’t like Piper, Alex or Ruby Rose’s character. I don’t understand the craze, but hey. I loved Samira Wiley’s character and I really connected with “Taystee”.
• "NCIS: LA” - Kensi (Daniela Ruah) is badass and she has to be in a relationship with Deeks (Eric Olsen), her real-life brother-in-law, so fair play to them and her husband (Eric’s brother) who is Deeks’ stunt double! I also like the team dynamic here, with Hetty (Linda Hunt) always being taken seriously regardless of her appearance, Sam (LL Cool J) and (Chris O'Donnell) Callen’s relaxed friendship, and the weird (but totally worthwhile) Nell and Eric moments.
I’ll add a 6th program, but I only watch the new episodes now, as I’ve seen all of the others multiple times and can’t keep rewatching all of them, unlike Criminal Minds and L&O: SVU, where there are only a handful I can’t sit through again.
• "Murdoch Mysteries” - I used to watch “Sue Thomas: FB Eye”, loosely based on the real Sue Thomas who was a deaf woman working for the FBI. Deanne Bray portrayed ST and Yannick Bisson was her co-worker and love interest. YB stars as Detective William Murdoch (so, similar profession to his ST: FBE character, just different century). I immediately liked the relationship Murdoch and the medical examiner, Dr Julia Ogden (Hélène Joy), develop throughout the series, while they solve murders. I supported the show’s growth with characters learning to accept homosexuality, sex workers and women working in traditionally male roles. I also liked that Julia insisted on having Rebecca James (an intelligent medical student who was a black female) as her assistant, despite resistance from some of the bosses, due to racism and sexism in the late 1800s - early 1900s. I like Constance George Crabtree’s quirkiness and was pleased with the pairing of him and Julia’s temporary successor Dr Emily Grace, but *SPOILER* her storyline went in a bisexual direction and she left the show. My brother and I used to watch the earlier episodes together.
Two final shows that I’ll add:
• "Midsomer Murders” (set in England) - I preferred the John Nettles’ “Detective Chief Inspector (DCI) Tom Barnaby” episodes, but that’s because I was used to him, I suppose. He retired from the show after several years and someone was cast as his cousin, another detective. He’s alright and I still like the shows, but it’s not quite the same. I don’t watch it regularly.
• “Murder, She Wrote” - Angela Lansbury is a legend. I was always excited to watch M,SW with my grandparents, particularly my (late) grandad when I was staying with them or they were visiting us. I loved every gentle, body, caring, stubborn, intelligent, creative and friendly aspect of the main character “Jessica Fletcher” (AL). She was an amateur sleuth, always (solving) “interfering” in cases with bumbling detectives, after writing successful murder mystery novels and developing an investigative talent. A show that was somewhat similar was “Columbo” with Peter Falk. I loved that show too, as did my grandad, but we didn’t watch it as often. Columbo always played oblivious, so the suspects rarely realised he was on to them until he stitched them up.

Okay so I know that Elliot was like "I want to find balance in this...whatever this is" and Olivia said "let's call it friendship" or whatever but was there another thing that happened in the last episode that I'm missing? I feel like something big happened that I need to know about
Ok a lot happened lmao let me try to break this down:
Olivia's best friend came back to defend Wheatley at the trial for killing Kathy, and Olivia was big mad about it ("I feel betrayed by you") and Wheatley got off. It was revealed in open court, in front of his children, that Elliot kissed Angela and she said she was in love with him (these poor kids. First Elliot says he loves Olivia and then Angela says she loves Elliot. They're going thru it). Olivia yelled at Elliot for not asking about what she'd been through while he was gone and called him out for their relationship being a one way street with her always supporting him and him not giving back and she dragged his ass over the letter. When she asked him why he gave it to her he said I guess I just didn't know how to begin 🥺
Eli got overwhelmed by the trial, ran away, got framed for murder - presumably orchestrated by Angela - who gasp! Has been faking being crippled/mentally compromised by the poison - and or her daughter - Elliot and Olivia had to go on a road trip to save him and co parent him and they held hands in the car, and Elliot, remembering what Olivia said to him, asks who she's been with, she reveals that Ed was important to her but does not tell Elliot that Ed is Tucker, Olivia says how about we call it a friendship for now and Elliot immediately says hey my friend Olivia in the sweetest voice and invites her and Noah over for a family Christmas party and Olivia says can I think about it but she's all breathless and heart eyes, we see the Christmas party only when Elliot goes to open the door to Olivia and Noah it's not them but his boss who says something like I've got some bad news and fade to black but if you ask me I think the bad news is just that Wheatley isn't going to be retried (ok Rafa didn't win the case he just got a mistrial) but is instead going to be working with OC? As an informant? This is information we got in pieces from other places but I maintain that after Ayanna left there's no reason to believe Olivia and Noah didn't turn up for the party and I would like to see it.
I glossed over a lot (the Eli stuff was SO MUCH) but I think that's the highlights lmao

Ok ok ok a couple of y'all asked about MIA BENSON CASSIDY get ready:
Remember when Liv thought for a hot second that she was pregnant? What if she was? She's living with Cassidy at that point, post Lewis. Still trying to figure it all out. And that's where little Amelia "Mia" Benson Cassidy comes from. Brian and Liv were never gonna last, and they still part amicably, but shit, now they have a kid. Brian tries hard, so hard, to keep his life in the road, bc he gets to spend every other weekend with his baby girl and he wants to be steady for her. Noah still comes along, and he and Mia are pretty close in age, and it's insane but. Liv already has the nanny and she's already figured out this parenting thing and the kid needs a home and she just. She says yes. And just like that she's got two kids. And Brian takes Noah every other weekend, too. "What, you think I'm gonna just leave him behind?" he says, and Liv loves him for it.
Mia Benson Cassidy, all of five years old, sitting at a hockey game with her daddy and her brother, screaming at the ref.
Mia Benson Cassidy getting into a fight at school when some kid makes fun of her brother for being adopted. (Her daddy fully ends up in a fistfight over that too)
Brian trying so, so hard, bc for so long, Olivia was the only person who ever saw any good in him, but shit, those kids, they look at him like he's a superhero, and he can't ever, ever let them down.
Brian picking the kids up sometimes when Liv has to work late.
The four of them regularly eating dinner together, Brian taking them on off nights when Liv's work is crazy. Being friends, and co parents, and yeah maybe they fall back into bed a time or two over the years but they both know it's not meant to be.
Elliot comes back, finds out Liv has kids. He doesn't know the story yet. He goes to her apartment one evening, and Brian Cassidy opens the door. Barefoot.
"shit," they both say, looking at each other.
And then this little girl with curly dark hair and big dark eyes walks up to Cassidy, eyeing Elliot suspiciously.
"daddy who's he?"
Elliot is about to die. Just spontaneously combust on the spot.
"an old friend," Brian says.
"Bri? Who is it?" Liv calls out from behind him. Elliot was gonna try to leave but Cassidy gives him a smug grin.
"Stabler!" He tells her, and now Elliot is stuck.
