Caught in Her Kitchen
Wicks burned low in the deepest offices of Gobul. Most of the librarians were long departed now, and those who remained were on much higher levels. Still, the unpopulated halls did little to assuage the burning anxiety of the two red haired Miqo'te as they collided against shelves, letting books tumble and echo through the halls. Y'zel whined as G'raha slammed his wrist into a set of encyclopedia's above, claws out and raking his pale skin until the former's palm bloomed enough to lace their fingers together. Trembling, Y'zel hiked his thigh up, letting his companion close any gap between them as their lips embraced.
They should have known better than to read aloud tomes in the restricted section, yet curiosity had gotten the better of them. Reading from the pages of Mephina's Grimroire, the two near attacked one another in the wake of the words, bodies burning for one another as if the Goddess had plucked their hearts and tossed them together upon her skillet.
Buttons danced at their feet as the Scion tore through Y'zel's top, parting only to rub their foreheads together and pant against his face. "Apologies, I fear that I might have been tempered," he started before hissing loudly as his Keeper-eyed friend bit his neck.
Growling, G'raha pulled back then reclaimed Y'zel's lips, ears pinned back as he felt the other start to give way to him once more. The Scion shivered as he felt the others moans pass into him. Having subdued Y'zel, he pulled back again. "I feel that our present situation might be bringing to light skewed feelings as a result of the-"
Y'zel silenced him with another kiss then pulled back slowly, cheeks crimson. "I love you..."
G'raha's ears fluttered as the revelation was laid bare despite his preference. Wrapping his arm around Y'zel's back, he pulled him closer, squeezing his hand tight as he leaned in to kiss him back.
"You poorrr lonely thing," he whispered, a pleased growl in the back of his throat, "How long have you ached so," slowly forgetting his concern as his companion's need sparked something within him.
Y'zel squirmed, looking away before feeling the Scion's tongue slide up his neck, smaller fangs threatening to pierce him in turn. Feeling the subdued Miqo'te start to shake, G'raha nipped his neck before surfacing for a kiss. "You are farrr to easy to tease, Zel," he purred between embraces. "I fear still this may be the tome, but I do feel that I might love you too."
Y'zel seized up the words, free hand pressing into G'raha's chest as he looked away. He lowered his ears as the Scion leaned in to nuzzle his nose against one of the sensitive cones. "That's not enough forrr you? Then I'll say it plainly, without qualifierrrs or worry. If you kiss me again...," G'raha purred, chest pounding beneath Y'zel's palm, "...and say my name."
Y'zel whined then tugged the other's scarf, pulling him into a hard kiss once more before parting, eyes pleasing as he wantonly pressed against the Seeker. "I love you Rrraha."
The Scion nodded, then sweetly pecked the writhing Miqo'te in his grasp. "I love you too Zel."
Feelings laid bare, the two descended to the floor, becoming just as lost in each other as they might have in one of the books around them.
For @raynshyu, definetly not myself. At all. Nope.

Making sense of the flow: The control possibilities enabled by actuators
AUMA PROFOX actuators are fitted to existing butterfly valves at Penybont Water Treatment Works in Wales. Actuators are a vital component in a wide range of systems used in water, energy and other industries. But what exactly is an actuator? Newcomers to the topic are often content to think of this component as simply a switch, of sorts – the part of a valve-based system that brings the valve to…

Lightning Strikes Maybe Once, Maybe Twice
Another miserable day in Sharlayan…
Or at least for Y'zel. While he enjoyed the nostalgic nip in the air and a chance to visit some family, it was still the place of heavy-handed snobbery that ever served as a bleak reminder of his late father. Not one for crowds, he'd made an escape from the keeper half of his family and took a walk to clear his head. Gravitating toward Noumenon, he found a comfortable spot in a nearby gazebo and let himself come down from the heightened emotional state left by his aunties' interrogations.
"Have you met a nice Miqo girl? Or boy? No judgments. Why do you need to travel so much? Dravania has been overtaken by opportunists, don't you want to help out here instead? I met the nicest Au Ra at The Last Stand, is that what you prefer? Have your Seeker cousins introduced you to the Warrior of Light? Can you get the Scions’ autographs? You can move home. Do you want some of your mother's things?"
Y'zel shuddered and hunched over as he tried to block out the mental echoes before perking his ears, as crinkling broke up his thoughts. Sitting up, he looked over, finding a young red-haired Seeker holding quite possibly the largest burger he'd ever seen in one hand and a book in the other. Ears and tail going stiff, his large Keeper eyes widened. He recognized the Scion occupying the space next to him from his last visit, having absently stalked him back to the Baldesion Annex.
The Miqo'te's gawking noticed, G'raha Tia tilted his head and offered him an ear wiggle. "Mmmf. Hopfe you don'tch mind my presenensh," he offered before swallowing a big bite. "Ah, sorry about that. Rather rude of me. I hope it's not a bother but I'd nearly forgotten to eat and I'm afraid my friend Krile would give me a scolding if she saw me handle a tome with my greasy guilty pleasure here. I just don't seem to be able to put this book down!"
Y'zel swallowed, nodding slowly as the other returned to his book. Once more he felt that familiar twist in his gut accompanied with a racing heart, the same twist that usually led him to a messed-up bed and a lingering sense of longing.
His mouth felt dry as he tried to form a greeting, lips parting as he stared at the other. Once more his lingering focus caught the attention of the Scion. "Hmm? Are you hungry too," he asked, gesturing with the hamburger.
Sense left Y'zel, mouth opening wide to take a bite of the approaching hamburger before freezing solid. He looked up horrified before sitting back and swallowing, nearly choking on the unchewed morsel. Ever kind, G'raha just chuckled and bobbed his ears. "I guess I was right on the money. Not a finer burger to be found in Eorzea, if I do say so myself."
Ready for Thal to just evaporate him on the spot, Y'zel let out, "Y-Yeah."
Recoiling, he raised his shoulders and dug the balls of his wrist into his thighs, tail flicking behind him as he tried not to start wheezing out of stress. "Sorry."
"It's fine, friend. I do not think I could have resisted the morsel myself. I'm G'raha Tia by the way," he said, introducing himself.
"Y'zel Tia…," the Miqo'te responded in turn. Getting the usual look he received for anyone who'd chanced to gaze him in the eyes, he folded his ears. "My mother was a Keeper."
"I see. I felt it rude to ask, though I imagine that would be the assumption."
"You'd be surprised," Y'zel sighed.
The Scion pondered this for a moment. "Are you by chance a relation of my good friend Y'shtola?"
"Yes. We're cousins. Y'rhul was my uncle…" the pink-haired Miqo'te answered briskly.
"Ah. I can't say that I've heard her speak of him."
"…"
Silence crept its ugly head up between them, doing nothing for Y'zel's anxiety. Still, at ease, the red-haired Miqo'te chomped away at his burger and then held up his book.
"Have you read this? It is a fascinating retelling of many of The Twelve's myriad of myths from the perspective of their favored animal companions. It is, of course, for children, but I cannot help but have an affection for the juvenile whimsy and coded messages of wisdom passed on. It's truly an art to make something so engaging for young minds," the Scion babbled.
Perhaps the other picked up on his nervousness and was trying to temper the mood with idle conversation. Nonetheless, Y'zel nodded in agreement. "I believe the original edition is stored with Gobul and has watercolors painted in it by the original artist," he pointed out, peering at the text.
"Fascinating! I'd very much like to see that. It may further my current understanding of…well, never mind that. Where can I reach you? My understanding is that the restoration committee isn't one to lend out books at the moment. I could, perhaps, have you escort me?"
The pink-haired Miqo'te flushed again, ears folding. "I'm staying at the Nbolo Residence with my family for another day and then I'll be departing for the Hinterlands."
"Excellent. I'll make arrangements to ensure I won't be missed," the Seeker sang before, finishing the last few bites of his burger and standing up. Waving, he went on his way, heading towards the Annex leaving Y'zel stunned in silence.
