These terms come from Set theory, in which EXOR/XOR reference "Exclusive OR", a logical operation that is true if and only if its arguments differ. In simple terms that means "one or the other but not both" or "either one or the other" or non-equivalence. A similar term referencing EXOR/XOR is Exorsexism (the linked coining post also has an explanation if my simplified one isn’t good!)

if you see a genderqueer person talking about how it's frustrating that the gender binary is centred in genderqueerness, how it's frustrating that genderqueer people are forced into binaries, and all you take away from it is that they're "upset" by genderqueer men and women existing - congrats, you have proven that you're part of the problem, that you're so used to being centred in everything that you think criticising binarisation is an attack on you.

it's literally a conservative talking point. their response to people acknowledging gender as a spectrum is always "so you don't want men and women to exist?" and that's the same shit you're saying. stop doing genderqueer conservatism and start realising that the gender binary is bad, that the gender binary being centred in everything is exorsexist and hurts genderqueer men and women too, but especially those of us who aren't connected to the binary at all.

us being fed up with the fact that you all centre yourselves and the binary in everything doesn't mean we want you gone. we're not radfems. us not wanting to be binarised by nonqueer people but especially by our own community doesn't mean we're upset by people's identities existing, it means we're upset by people projecting their binary-adjacent identity onto everyone else, which is prevalent as fuck.

you're really just showing your entitlement and fragility if you think people not wanting to be implicitly misgendered by our own people is an attack on your manhood/womanhood, when that's literally the thing that makes you even "remotely" normal to nonqueers.

it's utterly disgusting to essentially tell us that not wanting to be binarised and misgendered means we're upset by other genderqueer people existing. it's disgusting to imply that in order for you to believe that we support you, we apparently need to endure being forced into binaries. it's so exorsexist to jump to the conclusion that we dislike any kind of men and women because we're tired of being erased. fuck you.

it also shows that you got so offended by me not wanting the binary centred in everything, that you start making assumptions about me, when i've always spoken up for genderqueer men and women, as well as for aptobinary trans men and women. you all just don't do it for us.

Binary Masc Pride Flag

Binary masculine (exormasc/exormasculine, mascbinary/minbinary, or xormasculine/xormasc): binary gendered individuals experiencing masculinity; binary people with cenimasculine identity and/or masc gender presentation (masculine-presenting), or otherwise another form of masculine gender quality.

Cisbinary Flag

Cisbinary: a conformant term describing someone who is cis* (cisgender/cissex/cisvestic/cismodal) experiencing a binary gender (aptobinary/xorgender).

Inclusive of cisqueer (neocis, cis femache), neobinary (bonusbinary, ambinary/mesobinary, yesbinary), and AGAB nonconforming (ANC) people (plus more).

Counterpart: transbinary.

Binary Intersex / Interapto / Interexor

An Intersex individual who is also Aptogender (one who considers one's self as fitting into the Gender Binary); A binary (Exor-) gendered Intersex person.

Labels under the Interapto/Interexor umbrella are Intersex Men / Males and Intersex Woman / Females.

Binary Intersex individuals may have any Modalities such as Ipso-, Ulter-, Cis-, Trans-, and so on. Birth assignments do not matter and are often complicated for Intersex individuals.

The first flag is a combination of the IHRA (previously OII) flag made by Morgan Carpenter and the Aptogender flag

The second flag is a combination of the original Intersex flag by Natalie Phox and the Aptogender flag

Though this term sounds similar to Interbinary, they are not synonyms/synonymous

Aptobinary: a term used to describe individuals who fit the gender binary, it encompass the experiences of:

people who exclusively, at all times and wholly identify as women, girls or female, with their female identity being feminine in nature;

people who exclusively, at all times and wholly identity as men, boys or male, with their male identity being masculine in nature.

Coined here. Similar to exorgender.

Viaspec Pride Flag

Viagender Spectrum or Viaspec (alternatively: biaspec, xorspec or exorspec): an umbrella term similar to bingender (BIN) for anyone on the viabinary-to-binary spectrum; encompassing fiagender, miagender and liagender spectrums; being liaspec, fiaspec or miaspec; anyone whose identity is exorgender, partly xorgender, binary-aligned or adjacent, binaryflux or is in some way similar/related to/resemblant of exorgenderness (without them necessarily being binarine/binarish or BINgendered).

i'm thinking we need a term to describe people who are fully, always and exclusively either men who are masculine in nature *or* women who are feminine in nature, because it's important for belonging and community, as well as to talk about who's structurally affected by certain things more easily.

i know we have binary but there are quite a few people out there who don't fit the gender binary, who fit the above description we need a term for, while still conceptualising their gender(s) as binary. i've met people who are male/female bigender or are fluid between manhood and womanhood who consider themselves to be binary, because they are 100% one or both binary genders, just fluidly or with something else, thus still not fitting the gender binary. some people interpret binary to simply mean having a binary gender and not necessarily being fully, always and exclusively one binary gender. so if the term binary can include people who don't fit the gender binary/are structurally affected by exorsexism, it doesn't work to describe this.

i know there's exorgender but every source says that this also includes genders who are primarily, but not necessarily exclusively defined by manhood or womanhood. so someone who's for example 90% male and 10% something else might be considered exorgender while not fitting the gender binary. again, this term can include people who don't fit the gender binary/who are structurally affected by exorsexism so it doesn't really work either.

then there are wergender and wifgender, with wergender being a term to describe someone who's exclusively, fully and always a masc-in-nature man and wifgender describing people who are exclusively, fully and always a fem-in-nature woman. while these terms are good and come very close to what i'm looking for, i'd prefer if there was one single term to describe this, so we don't always have to list two words, because a lot of the time, when talking about people who have privilege over genderqueer/nonbinary/elsegender people, both wergender and wifgender people would come up.

if anyone knows of such a term or is also thinking of coining one, hit me up.

Lesbinary Pride Flag

Lesbinary or lesbianary (or lesbianry): ascribing binary lesbians.

This includes any lesbian who feel included in the word "binary" in terms of gender, such as those who are aptobinary, bonusbinary, ambinary, yesbinary, bingender, exorgender, wergender, wifgender, binarigender, binary bigender, multibinary, bibinary, binary nonbinary, and so on.

Maybinary Pride Flag

Maybinary (mayby/maybies or maybenary): someone who may be binary and/or may not be binary (maynby/maynb or maynonbinary); maybe being aptobinary, maybe not (maybinaryn't/maybenaryn't).

Maybinaries could be yesbinary (ambisobinary, ambinary/ambibinary or mesobinary) and/or nobinary (abinary or exobinary), semibinary (demibinary, half-binary or hemibinary) or seminonbinary (semienby/seminby, demienby/deminby/deminonbinary or heminonbinary/hemienby/heminby), abrobinary or aptobinary (exorgender), or anonbinary (binaryn't nonbinaryn't).

Usually, if someone asks "are you a boy or a girl?" or "are you binary?" you answer "maybe" (or "maybe yes, maybe not") or "so-so" (sobinary/sosobinary). Useful for questioning.
