as someone who is not confident enough in her art to draw let alone post, fanart, i have one request for the Outer Worlds fans in this coming year.

idk if im just not looking hard enough or what but there is so little fucking fan content for the Outer Worlds it sickens me! the game is so good but the fanart and fanfiction is SO limited omfg! and i can only really consistently find fanart here bc idk how to use twitter and i refuse to learn.

I didn’t end up getting very far in my root rpg rewatch bcoz I have not had the energy to watch anything in a bit but like. man do I think about it a lot. I’ve said it before but like, I do love uprooted dearly too but like ogh my god root is just so special to me. Ik it’s non canon now but like i still wish people talked about some of the moments and plots from it bc I just really love it so much. I think part of it also is bcoz of how attached it made me to polyroot so quickly (literally started shipping it ep 2 lmao) and just how many cute moments there are between all of them ITS JUST REALLY ENDEARING MAN I LIKE IT A LOT

Two massively insecure fandoms that are both desperate to prove to the mainstream that they're actually good, so much so they will flip their shit at negative opinions. The fandoms whose games occupy completely different genres and have no reason to even be compared.

So people can be happy I do not create the wrong fanvideos with the wrong characters and romances, and I do not spend five hours making them.

Listen, I'm a bloodweave girly through and through but I've been hesitant to go for the Astarion romance on my Gale origin run, because the act 1 portion of it is so. fucking. cringe. I generally only play romances in games For Science, if at all, because I have never personally wanted to imagine myself in a romance with a fictional character, even if it's only through a player character I've made, and even if I do end up playing a romance that's not Isabela in DA2, I generally do it through gritted teeth. I'm an old fandom lady who's consumed filth far worse than any video game romance has to offer over the past two decades, but I still want to dig myself into a hole and die when a shirtless vampire says "I think you want to be know, to be t a s t e d."

(And I know it's supposed to be cheesy, because that's the whole premise and you only get to know him properly as the game progresses, but I know for a fact a lot of the wrong type of Astarion fuckers out there would fall for the cheese, too, and the thought of that disappoints me.)

Anyway I made if through the shirtless vampire in the woods with some rather intense cringing, but it's done now, so I can move on with my life, and the game, and try no to die a little inside every time Halsin is the embodiment of the 😏 emoji.
