Few families can say that they've been blessed by the gods, and even fewer can count ancestors as illustrious and celebrated as Niemon, your great-grandfather. He was the very man who led the rebellion against a tyrannical magocracy and laid the founding stones for a free and fair republic. Your family was destined for greatness and respect, but your grandfather ruined it all… You are the heir to House Serin, and the burden of your family's legacy weighs heavily on you. However, your destiny is much greater than that of your forefathers, maybe even the great Niemon's. So, let the chronicles begin! But remember, the chains of destiny are strong and will not be easily broken. Do you have the power to defy fate?
This is the first book of Chains of Destiny, a planned trilogy where you step into the shoes of the heir to House Serin. Set in the fictional continent of Runsas, your choices will not only shape your life but also impact the lives of those around you and the future of the republic. Uncover the secrets behind your grandfather's betrayal, break free from the chains that bind you, and finally take control of your destiny.
The game is more character/story-focused and places less emphasis on stats.

Also, this story was created purely out of my passion for writing. It does not intend to preach or lecture anyone about any particular topic or belief.
If you feel that any part of this game is preaching or trying to convey a specific message, it is unintentional, and I sincerely apologize. The primary goal is to provide an enjoyable and fun experience for everyone.
PS: I should've already made a post like this in the beginning, but somehow I just forgot to.😄

WIP INTRO: A Woman of No Importance
Tumblr media
A Woman Of No Importance: A Look Into the Political and Sex Lives of Medieval Women All Tied With a Nice Enemies-to-Lovers bow
The Early Ages was a fraught time for a budding country, and no one knows that better than historian Sabina Sphar, whose deep dive into one long-gone country leads to an obsession with two women held responsible for its downfall. The year is 946 W.C. and King Oswald of Vilsland has just ordered the execution of his once beloved aunt, Princess Mathilde. Now wanted for treason, Princess Mathilde seeks refuge in her childhood home, currently occupied by a woman who holds a powerful grudge. Twenty years ago, Cierra Dimmock and Princess Mathilde were rivals in the midst of a bloody game of intrigue and court manners. One was a standing regent struggling to keep her grasp on the court and the other the new, foreign wife of a prominent duke. Their feud resulted in one being jailed and the other humiliated. Now, the tables have turned and Cierra is a wealthy widow and Dowager Duchess while Princess Mathilde is an exile looking for political asylum. In a moment of pity, Cierra allows her old enemy to spend the night in her home. Their fates will be sealed by morning and this decision could cost both women their lives. But what is certain is that their country and history will never be the same.
Told through interviews, land deeds, court diaries, letters, Cierra's own narration, and the musings of several historians. A Woman of No Importance tells the story of a rotten feud between two middle-aged women but also the ill-fated history of Vilsland and how the interactions of these characters wiped it off the map.
AWONI is currently looking for early readers so please message me if interested or learn more below!
Prominent Characters
Sabina Spahr: Queer Early Ages historian most interested in the well-documented feud between Cierra Dimmock and Princess Mathilde. Cierra de Bellièvre: Remembered as the foreign wife of Notker Dimmock. Cierra has left behind little written record of her life except for her pious and astute nature. Mathilde of Dester: Born a princess, raised as a hostage, died as a traitor. From successfully leading a country as its regent to fumbling a treasonous uprising, there is little Mathilde hasn't done or been criticized for. Edelgard Notkerdotter Dimmock: Cierra's daughter and the only sovereign duchess of Dester. Sister Gisela: Cierra's nun companion who writes extensively about her mistress during their youth. Ivo Túfel: A soft-hearted poet who ventures to the court of Vilsland to write of beauty and romance.
AWONI discusses topics such as: sexual assault, religious persecution, discrimination based on gender, and discrimination based on sexuality, so readers should take care.

Welcome to Brimstone Bitch!
I’m Dee, a dark fantasy author, a lover of slutty monster romances, a chaos poet, unapologetically weirdo and a devastatingly unhinged storyteller.
I write for POC, the gays, the girls, and the clinically insane. I don’t just tell stories, I bring them to life, connecting and weaving a thread through the hearts of those daring to read to my literature.
Kindly expect:
Gothic queer romance
Demonic lore and dirty metaphors
Wild Ancient-Afro-centered plots and lore
Book WIPs, worldbuilding chaos, character thirsting
Author life, unfiltered & unholy
Occasional screams into the void (with style)
This isn’t your typical quirky-morning-coffee blog, this is brimstone.
Bold, Dark, and Gothic.
It’s witchy, cunt and morbid with a touch of spice. This is for the weird kids who grew up reading about Vampires, Werewolves, Demons, and supernatural beasts and fell in love with their morally grey characters. This is a safe space for people who need to vent about being too queer, too emotional, too brown, too dark or too fucking tired of the same old lie that black people or poc can’t be the main characters of fantasy to novels. You are not alone, trust me, I’ve been there. But now I’m writing about it, so why don’t you stay a little!
My books are queer, chaotic, spicy, magical—dark fantasy where brown baddies fight back…. AND WIN.

Writeblr Intro
Hello! My name is Kit. I am new to writeblr, but very old to tumblr. I live in the US, I'm 26 and use she/they pronouns.
I've been creeping on the tags for a while, but I finally made a blog just for writing. I'd love to share updates on what I'm writing, excerpts and talk about writing with other writers.
I'm currently writing my first novel, it's young adult high fantasy. I've written about 40,000 words in the universe, but I've recently finished a more detailed outline. So, I'm starting the real rough draft now that I know more of what I want to say.
A lot of my characters are queer and disabled, like me. I want to write books that are magical and that a lot of different people can see themselves in. I think fantasy serves as a cool conduit for imagining what the world could look like beyond a lot of the power structures we take for granted.
I'd love to follow other authors, particularly ones that are also working on longer term projects. I think it'd be cool to get feedback from people, or find other people who have been doing this longer and talk more about their thought processes. I'm open to following writers of all genres since I read them all and think there's so many cool things to learn from different styles!
Any advice on how to get started is appreciated, will be following anyone that interacts with this post.
I look forward to getting more involved in this community!

•Kai (both): 2.10 cm or 6'8 ft.
•M!Azyy: 1.97 cm or 6'4 ft.
•M!???: 1.90 cm or 6'2 ft.
•F!Azzy and M!Secret Route: 1.88 cm or 6'1 ft.
•F!???, M!Ely and F!SR: 1,80 cm or 6'0 ft.
•F!Ely: 1,75 cm or 5'7 ft.
P.S.; I am already working on a variation of the text for a male MC that will probably be added once the prologue and first chapter are published, no promises though.

Worldbuilding can be hard sometimes because I'm like hey how on earth do you decide and make a consistent perspective on family units when a household is both orientation neutral and has male/female harems due to wanting to have magic in the family as much as possible.
Like example: an Aurum man takes on an Argentum man as a spouse in his house. Now he wants the Argentum to have a child to either have more Argentum magic or to have a child with mixed magic. They both can't produce children so the Aurum man probably has to choose someone? What if that's outside the household? How is custody decided? Or is it going to be a woman in the harem, or a sibling to the Aurum man?
Making them orientation-neutral (as in they may all have their own individual orientations like straight, gay, bi, but they don't really care or discriminate and people may take on a same sex spouse for political or economic reasons if not sexual preference) definitely throws a wrench into an otherwise simple and rigid system.

i have a bunch of these saved up from @oh-no-another-idea @thegreatobsesso @reneesbooks @viscerawrites and @indecentpause, so here’s a tasty chunk from the end of chapter six of Awakened Witch, because i have, as mentioned, finally locked the boys in a room~
(additional context: the bars are solid bone, there’s no door or keyhole, and the room has one tiny slit window so there’s barely any light either. Sorrow has been kicking the bars for a while but it’s accomplished exactly nothing. vren's feeling claustrophobic because his ring of shadow teleporting isn't working, leaving him with no way out at all for the first time properly in literal decades)

“Those bars aren’t going to break. She’s got more magic than us, and somehow she’s taken what we did have,” Vren said. He turned fully from the window, leaning heavily against the wall. “Most of which was mine,” Sorrow said. He touched the bracelets on his arms, mouth a thin line. There still weren’t as many there as there had been before they’d faced down Cidra. “Tell me, did she steal your magic, or just the power of whatever trinket it is that provides it?” Vren carefully didn’t touch his ring. “All that matters is it doesn’t work.” “But if it’s a trinket,” Sorrow said, slowly, as if talking to a particularly stupid child, “you could hold it out of the window and beyond her influence, and then perhaps it might work.” “If it was a trinket, I would already have tried that,” Vren said, for he had, and it had done nothing. “And I wouldn’t still be here listening to you.” “You’d leave me behind, little ghost?” Sorrow pressed a hand to his chest. “After all I’ve done for you? I’m sorely wounded.” Vren shoved away from the wall and slammed Sorrow into the cell bars, one arm hard across his throat, the other on the hilt of his knife. “Call me that one more time—” “And what? Will you kill me if I do, little ghost?” Sorrow retorted, exaggerating the petty nickname as much as was physically possible. They were so close Vren could feel the exhale of the syllables on his face, and the claustrophobia snarled into anger, and his hand tensed around the knife hilt and he pictured slamming it up beneath Sorrow’s ribs, a slower death than he usually granted, blood and pain and a body rotting across from him for hours or days or weeks until the lich came to play with her captive pets. He dropped his arm and stepped away. Sorrow rubbed at his neck. “Sensible of you—our undead friend would only bring me back, and then you’d have to kill me all over again.” “Shut up.”

wip re-introduction — the Seafoam trilogy by Steph Megary
started — Sept. 2021 | genre — high fantasy | pov — single, first | status — 2nd draft | currently writing — The Unforgiving Sea, Part IV: Undertow | themes — grief, coming of rage, religious oppression, mother/daughter relationship(s), revenge, and lesbians | links — excerpts, artwork
blurb | Thala Galanis is coming of age and unmarried with absolutely no intention of remedying that. Which, in Grea, means that you’re a spinster and fit for nothing else but a life of silent service as a Stoli in Katania—the Haven of the Gods. When tragedy strikes her family with the untimely death of her father, she decides that there is no other choice for her but to resign herself to becoming a Stoli. Once she arrives in the capitol, however, she finds that what’s expected of the Stoli is darker than she ever dreamed it would be.
In a desperate attempt to escape, she takes matters into her own hands, only to stain them with blood. A stain that will never wash off the further along she travels down the path to vengeance.
Because what happened to her should never happen to anyone else.
And, if she gets her way, it never will.
excerpt | Blood really is the most beautiful shade of red, isn't it?
The metallic tang of it lingered in the air and on my tongue. I raised my hand to the dying sun, mesmerized by the carmine stain coating my fingers and dripping down my arm. It billowed in the sea around me, bright and sanguine and breathtaking.
I was practically bathing in it.
Sunlight glistened on my soaked hand, the blood almost sparkling in the last vestiges of day, and for the first time in a long time, I smiled.
Really, truly smiled.

Monthly Progress Update #7
Hey everyone!
We've reached the end of another month—I hope you all had a great November! 😊
About the project
This month, I focused on the rewrites for Chapter 1 Part 1, and (mostly) Part 2.
Here’s a quick summary of what’s been accomplished:
Chapter 1 Part 2 has been fully rewritten! While the overall plot remains the same, I’ve made a ton of text improvements (hopefully for the better! 😅).
Adjusted and expanded sections in Part 2 to align better with the changes made in Part 1.
Added more stoic options and a few new choices in Part 2.
Integrated your feedback and suggestions for Part 2 — a huge thank-you to everyone who shared their thoughts. You’ve been a massive help!
Progress So Far
Here’s where things stand with the rewrite:
Prologue: 100% complete Chapter 1, Part 1: 75% complete Chapter 1, Part 2: 100% complete Codex: 35% complete
So, what’s next?
With the Chapter 1 rewrite almost wrapped up, I’ve been thinking about the next step. I see two options:
Continue with the Chapter 2 rewrite and finish that before moving on.
Start writing Chapter 3 and revisit Chapter 2 afterward.
As always, thank you so much for your support and feedback—it means the world to me. ❤️ See you next month!

Pwease Read My Book: Call For Early Readers and Feedback
Tumblr media
A Woman of No Importance is a medieval fantasy told through land deeds, interviews, diary entries, the writings of several historians, and one woman who holds a grudge. It's also currently looking for readers to look over the complete draft. There is no timeline or requirements in mind as it's still pretty early, so if you have some free time and like reading about petty grudges snowballing into the ruin of a country, you're in luck!
The Early Ages was a fraught time for a budding country, and no one knows that better than historian Sabina Sphar, whose deep dive into one long-gone country leads to an obsession with two women held responsible for its downfall.
