Character Spreadsheets

Hello!

For folks who don't know me, my name is Mint, and when I'm not recommending ttrpgs, I like to design play-kits for different ttrpg games to facilitate easier online play. These player kits are designed to be shared with a playgroup in which everyone has editing access, with either character templates that can be duplicated, or a list of playbooks for games that use those instead. I've finally collected all of my useable play-kits into one folder, which I am sharing below for anyone to use. If you would like to use one of these, open up the file. Then select "File" -> "Make a Copy". I have included a tab on many of these games that is labelled "Lines, Veils & Lures." This is a modified version of Lines & Veils that my table uses that incorporates Lures, which are things that the group wants to see in game.

Most sheets also include a link to where you can get the game they are made for, up in the top row of the sheet. So if you see a play-sheet you like, you can find the game pretty easily from there! I've done sheets for big games like Numenera, and little games like Cryptid TV. I'm always working on more, so there will be more that are added to this folder over time. I'll probably also be editing these sheets themselves as I update sections, add links, and incorporate more Lines, Veils & Lures! You can check out the sheets here!

THE DECK OF MONSTERS 2

Hello hello brave travelers!

I reach out to you from the ether to announce that the project I am doing illustration for has officially launched! The Deck of Monsters 2!

It's a deck of 53 new and original monsters compatible with Monster of the Week!

Stop me if you've heard this one. An independent career focused woman gets lured to a small town that's way too into Christmas. She meets a generic, yet handsome, man who shows her the meaning of the season and they end up falling in love. She quits her job, divorces her fiancee, and lives the rest of her life in this happy Christmas town. This is propaganda and these innocent women are his marks. These monsters feast on stolen ambition before forever trapping their victims in a holiday hellscape they can never hope to escape from.

Creatures that are literally spineless, Yesmen inhabit the highest echelons of capitalist society. They have always infiltrated human power structures to push for, and enable, greater and greater atrocities that cause greater and greater human suffering. It just so happens that in the modern world they choose to be corporate vice presidents to have easier access to morally compromised mortals. They're just so easy to direct towards enacting harm on their fellow humans,  after all. Nothing to read into about that. The system works.

We got a bunch more monsters in this deck that are illustrated by a team of sure shot artists and yours truly!

You can also peruse through the myriad horrors and use them for other tables tops and scenarios! The Kickstarter is live today and at it's top tier YOU can play as horrific creator and work with us to create a monster that is included into the deck!

hello shiny colors song for prism/shanison nation it has come to my attention that certain idols have utility live skills that increase idol experience/bond/fan/item/money gain so i made a quick graphic of all of the cards w/ them

you'll notice that the current event rinze is a fan booster so if you get all the stuff to max her out in the event she makes for an entirely free +10% fan gain card for anyone interested in grinding out fan count either for the titles or just the bragging rights

Hmm not really! I'm not a great person to ask since I haven't ya know successfully made a game or anything, and the only thing I have a teeny bit of experience is with renpy. For that, there is a very welcoming community! I think there's a renpy discord server, also a subreddit, maybe a forum?? AND just tons and tons of resources you can find online very easily.

As for the game I am (was) making.... basically no progress for months lol. I could never come up with a decent plot for beyond day 1 and idk if I'll ever continue it, who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Plus the more I looked at the designs the more I realized how basic they were in comparison to all the cool designs out there. All my ocs look the same, all my art looks the same, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

hunt: Who or what is your OC hunted by? A person, a feeling, a past mistake? Is your OC able to let their guard down, or are they constantly alert?

I used to enjoy Pokemon games a lot, but lately some of the newer entries have been kinda controversial due a variety of issues.

Here are some questions to consider for character development:

What parts of their childhood trigger them?

How do they treat themselves when they're feeling sad?

What parts of themselves do they tend to hide?

How do they punish themselves when they make mistakes?

Who are they loyal to? Why?

Who do they avoid? Why?

What emotions or situations do they try to avoid? Why?

What angers them?

What are their insecurities?

What are their emotional triggers?

How do they feel about love?

What are their fears?

What is their relationship with their family like?

What kind of people do they tend to gravitate towards?

What do they like/dislike about themselves?

Here is a little ask game for WorldBuilding in your WIP to pad out one country or all of them! Use it for yourself or ask a friend and spread some love. Focus on a particular section and have fun!

Geography

What does your world look like? What's the biome? Are there different ones?

Are there any oceans? If so, are they accessible? Are they a reliable source of travel and food?

Are there any rivers in your world? Any lakes? What's the longest river? Deepest lake?

Is there a safe supply of drinking water? If not, why not?

Are there mountains in your world? What's the highest one?

What is the weather like? How does this effect life?

What animals inhabit the world? What animals are indigenous or considered exotic?

What's a typical building material? What's considered an expensive feature to include?

What would utterly shock somebody to see somebody do?

How can one rise up the status ladder? Is there much trouble to do so?

How is life different in cities compared to life in the countryside?

Daily life

Where would someone go to buy their weekly shop? Is food easy to come by?

What would be the daily routine of the wealthy? The common man?

I'm gonna be so honest with y'all. I don't take you seriously if you complain about the casting of the Percy Jackson show because the poc actors aren't "book accurate."

Because here's the deal. I remember when the internet threw a fit when Rue, a black character, was played by a black person. It didn't matter that it was book accurate, y'all didn't want to see a black person on screen.

For some of y'all, it's not that you are against adaptations straying from the source material- you are simply anti black.

If you are about to argue with me, I want you to ask yourself something. Did you not mind the race change of Grover, but you are against the casting of Annabeth? If that's true, maybe try to address that. Acknowledge it and try to deconstruct your anti-black biases.
