“okay, how do i look?” your focus shifted from your phone, to your boyfriend standing in front of you. he did a little spin to show off his outfit which made you laugh.

“babe you look fine, i told you this like five times now.” you sighed before getting up from the couch, while adjusting your dress.

“i know…i just,” chris sighed before continuing. “i just want everyone to like me.”

you frowned as you saw how anxious your boyfriend seemed. you cupped his face with both of your hands before smushing them together, eliciting a smile from the brunette.

“they’ll love you babe, now lets go.”

as you chris drew nearer to the entrance to the backyard, the music got louder, and chris’ nerves seemed to increase as well.

you took his hand in yours and intertwined your fingers. “we can always go home, i’ll say you’re sick or something.” you say worried your boyfriend will be uncomfortable but chris quickly shook his head to the idea.

“no baby, i want to meet everyone, and i want to see you around the people that make you happy.” you softly smiled, before leaning up to give chris a big ol smooch on the cheek. he knew how family oriented you could be, and how these barbecues were a chance to bring everyone you loved together.

you two made your way through the gate of your parents house. you began to introduce chris to a lot of your aunties and uncles that were scattered across the lawn. each of them were dying to see the boy you brought back home.

after all the introductions, you made your way inside to the kitchen, where your parents were cooking up some more delicious food.

chris had already met your parents, from various holidays and vacations, so to say the least they were more than comfortable with each other.

“my y/n, chris!” your mom exclaimed as she put a spoon down before making her way to the both of you. giving you both hugs and a few pecks on your faces.

your dad was next to greet you two as he embraced you both in a tight hug. “oh, chris, come help me flip these burgers while you’re here!” your dad said while passing chris a spatula and some paper plates.

you roll your eyes playfully. “dad, we just got here!” you laugh as your dad began to lead chris out the kitchen.

your dad simply shoo’d you off before reassuring you. “oh he’ll be fine, cmon boy.”

you gave chris an apologetic smile and he could only laugh before giving you a kiss goodbye. he followed your dad outback to help him prepare more food to serve to the guests. truthfully, he loved this. he felt like this was the best way to bond with everyone around him.

you could already see from the kitchen window the amount of uncles surrounding him at the grill. probably asking him a bunch of questions, and popping a few jokes here and there.

you also made your way outback but instead, you went to go rest at the lounge chairs where your cousins were hanging out.

you all caught up and a few of them even asked about chris here and there. complimenting him and his burger making skills which you were amused to hear.

after a while, you excused yourself to get a burger for yourself to eat. you made your way over to chris with a paper plate in hand. chris seemed to be having a conversation with one of your guy cousins but he excused himself when he saw you making your way towards him.

“you okay, baby?” he asks while adding more stuff to the grill.

“yeah, i just wanted to try a burger ‘cus everyone is talking about them.” you say while smiling and holding your plate out.

“like good talk, or bad talk?” chris asks playfully while placing a burger on your plate, before grabbing two buns to assemble your burger with.

“if it was bad talk you wouldn’t even be here anymore.” you laugh while taking back your plate.

“well i’ll be done in a few, i’ll come join you over there okay?” you nodded before turning around to make your way back to your seat.

about 2 hours went by with you and chris at the party. your dad finally let the poor boy go from the grill and you could finally spend sometime with each other.

chris was amazing from talking to the elderly, to even bonding with the little kids. even the grumpy teenagers were intrigued by him.

you yawned as you rose from your seat. “well, i think its time for us to go guys.” your little cousins groaned at this, not ready to say goodbye to their newfound best friend, chris.

after they bid their goodbyes, you two made way to say goodbye to everyone else. you got a lot of aunties telling you that you made a good choice with chris and hopefully he’s here to say to which you respond with a chuckle and a ‘definitely.” while chris got a lot of uncles dapping him up and bringing him into a hug as well.

your parents walked you two to your car and gave you both a goodbye hug.

“he’s coming next year right?” your dad asks almost immediately the hug ended. you and chris could only laugh and nod.

your parents waved goodbye as they watched your car drive off.

you couldn’t stop yourself from smiling in the passenger seat (yes chris can drive in this), which chris notices.

he takes one hand off the steering wheel and rests it on your thigh. you looked at him as you held his hand in yours. chris could feel your eyes lingering for a second more than usual.

“what?” he questions, not being able to hide the smile that was tugging at his lips.

“oh nothing..i just really love you.”

you made it your life mission to make sure everyone on base knew they were loved

because everyone deserves to be loved - looking at you, Simon *wink wink*

your levels of affection varied from person to person, always being mindful of how comfortable they felt with it

for Ghost for example, you were more inclined to have a cup of Earl Gray ready for him the moment he walked into the common lounge, and sat in silence with him for however long he needed it.

sometimes you’d pat him on the shoulder (when he was sitting down ofc) when you walked past and greeted him variations of “hello mister grim reaper!”, “how’s my favorite specter doing today?”, “woah, you look delightfully cadaverous today~”

he always glared at you when you did that, but he was definitely blushing under the facepaint and skull mask, don’t be fooled. 

your loving words would stay swimming around his brain for days on end 

Price wasn’t against physical affection, but he felt queasy about having a subordinate hugging him in front of others

a pat on the shoulder or the back from you, with a “glad to see you, Captain!” in the mornings was more than enough to lift his spirits for the rest of the day

you also made sure to sneak in his favorite bourbon for his birthday - he scolded you lightly about rules and regulations, but once no one was around he gave you a one-armed hug and a “thanks, kid, appreciate it”

would definitely burst into tears if you told him “Love you, dad!”, so use it wisely

with both Gaz and Soap, however, you went all out. 

they had no qualms at all being physically affectionate

Soap in particular would see you running towards him and immediately drop anything he was holding to catch you in his arms, maybe even give you a lil’ twirl as you planted a wet smooch on his cheek

he would definitely give you a wet smooch back and a big ol’ squeeze

Gaz wasn’t as over-the-top with affection, he was much calmer than Soap

nevertheless, he never, ever, refused your affection

he would immediately feel soothed and content the moment you wrapped your arms around him in a hug, or gave him a kiss on the cheek

receiving any physical affection made him feel giddy in general, sometimes he had a hard time wrapping his head around some of the things he had to do for his job

if you blew Gaz or Soap a kiss they would immediately blow one back

in general, something you never failed to do was to sneak little notes of affirmation in their gear without them noticing

or at least you thought they didn’t notice

they always noticed when your fingers dig a bit too far in their pockets, they just pretended not to notice

because they knew that, the moment they needed it, they would find a lovely note in your handwriting reminding them of how loved they were

Simon made you believe he tossed them away but he actually stacked them in his journal to read in his darkest hours

Soap taped them to the wall next to his bed so he could re-read them all before he went to sleep

Price also collected them in his journal, but taped his favorite one - “Can’t wait to see you soon! Take care, love you!” - to a framed photo of his beloved team

Gaz kept your little notes in the drawer of his bedside table, and every morning he’d choose one to keep in his pocket at all times during the day

You waited patiently by the door, blinking slowly at the hallway within the base. It was zero-two-forty-five and you should definitely be asleep by now - this was not a mission for you, after all. But you wouldn't simply go to sleep without your little departing ritual. 

The footsteps echoing in the hallway perked you up, your fingers fiddling with the tiny pieces of paper in your pockets. 

Captain Price was the first to arrive, as usual. He shot you a warm smile the moment he noticed you, and you replicated it while opening up your arms. He glanced around and, once verifying there were no other soldiers in the vicinity, he relented and let you give him a quick hug.

A little smirk found his lips when he felt your fingers dig a bit too hard in the area near his smaller holsters. He said nothing, though, and you looked up at him with a grin.

“I hope everything goes well, Cap!”

“Thanks, kid,” he patted your head before stepping out of your short-lived embrace, he walked out and went to have a word with the pilots.

Ghost was the next one. You hadn’t heard him approach you, but he patiently waited for you to notice his presence. When you finally did, you patted his shoulder and shot him a wink, your lips still stretched into a grin as you slipped a paper in his radio holster. 

“Be safe out there, ‘kay? I’ll be waiting for you, LT.”

He only answered with a small grunt, but the softness in his eyes was noticeable miles away. He waited for your touch to leave him before stepping away - he didn’t want you to think he was shrugging you off. 

“Hey, Y/n!” Soap called you, and you opened your arms wide for him to fit in the middle. He let his weapon hang to wrap both arms around you, effectively picking you up and giving you a tight squeeze, “don’t miss me too much, eh?” He smirked down at you, and you answered with a chuckle and squished his cheeks between your hands - after slipping his note into one of his back holsters. 

“I'll always miss you, though,” you hummed, “I promise not to watch Wednesday without you, so don’t worry about that.” He gave you another tight squeeze with a “you better not!” growl into your neck, making you giggle and kick the air.

Gaz’s own chuckle brought you back to the present, and Soap lowered you to your feet before jogging towards the helicopter. You cupped Gaz’s face and brought him down to you, pressing a soft kiss on his cheek. “Take care out there, yeah? Don’t do anything too crazy, hm?”

Gaz snorted and shot you a smirk, “you sure you shouldn’t tell that to someone else?” he teased, his head tilting toward the Scot.

“And you think he’d listen to me?” you shot back, before wrapping your arms around his shoulders in a hug - also slipping his note in one of the back holsters, “see you soon, Gaz,” you mumbled in his neck, and he reciprocated with a squeeze. 

Just as Gaz joined the others on the helicopter, the engine roared to life, and you stepped closer just so you’d be heard above the noise. You cupped your hands around your mouth and yelled out, “Love you! Take care! See you soon!” 

You knew you wouldn’t be able to hear them say anything back, and you sometimes doubted they could even hear you over the roar of the engines. But you never failed to reassure them that there was someone waiting for their safe return.

other nights when he needs his space, he'll lay beside you, fingers laced with yours, and wait for you to fall asleep comfortably. if you're talking for a little while, he pushes eye contact. it's his way of apologising for the lack of snuggles, which is equally taxing, but he wants to remind you that you are his world

absolutely a tea lover, and would just about pass away if you brought him a mug of leaf juice on a morning

always sneaking peeks at you, out of pure adoration. he thinks he hasn't been caught, but you caught him long ago, oogling at you fresh out of the shower wrapped in a towel

hes leaving for a mission? he will break his internal rules and make a mess of your bed, filling it with blankets, pillows, and any soft items he can find. if he has a spare set of blacks, or even some clothes you bought for him as a casual wardrobe, he will make sure it smells like him so you've got extra comfort until he gets back

always telling you that he'll be back in -insert approximate date- but will forever promise to do his best to get back earlier

he won't call you call you petnames, but the way he says your name is so endearing. he says it with passion, and it melts your heart

"It won't take long. Around two weeks if all goes to plan, which is extremely unlikely due to the nature of the mission. But I do insist, I'll come back to you soon, y/n."

this absolute darling boy has been through the lot

Echo is a tough one, considering he isn't to big on making himself at home anywhere. he's pretty cut and run nowadays but for you? god he'll do his best

he keeps relatively tidy, making sure to help out with the dishes if you ask, or if you're looking pretty tired. he doesn't want you to push yourself when he could easily do it himself

he absolutely shoves a sponge on his scomp. do not @ me about this, imagine the glass cleaning efficiency of this man, god

he's a vivid enjoyer of quality time. while he can't exactly 100% convince himself that you find him comfortable enough to lay with or cuddle, he will always do his best to let you sit where you wish

he'll often ask that you sit on his right side, so he can hold you in his arm and rub gentle circles into your hip or waist as he gets comfy

he is a sleep avoider. you know he's got a lot in his head, and always wants to keep busy, which you're usually fine with, but when it's time to sleep, you'll always do your best to ramble him to sleep. god, this sweet man needs someone to consume his thoughts to ward off the nightmares

you're a big spoon most nights. not because Echo doesn't like spooning you, because he does, he absolutely adores it, but most often, Echo needs that sort of safety net. having familiar arms and weight around him will help him doze, and it'll chase away the bad thoughts clouding his sleep

when you're lil spoon, he will always nuzzle his face into your hair. the smell of your shampoo, and just you in general, is so comforting.

whenever he wakes up in a cold sweat, he feels bad for dampening the sheets, but as you've learned to wake with him in these situations, you always shush him and suggest he take a warm shower while you switch the sheets out for lovely warm ones

echo in a towel. you insist he makes you hot and bothered, and he does believe you every time you say it. he's starting to believe it, and by god you're helping his self esteem more and more each time he stays with you

before he deploys with the batch on a mission, he sits and stares at you, hand cupping your cheek, eyes flickering back and forth between your own

he likes to drink all of you in while he has the chance, and if ever he's thirsty, all he has to do is remember you

sharp shooters have sharp eyes, and his are trained like a hawk on you

Roger Taylor Dating a Guitarist Would Look Like...

First off, we love Rog and he can be a lil shit so he will get competitive and try to get his own guitar to riff off with you. He plays something, and you play something more elaborate. The other band members gather with popcorn, their heads going from one space to another like cats with a toy. It's like "The Devil Went Down To Georgia" but with guitars instead of fiddles. And no way will he let you win (unless you kiss him).

He tries to serenade you and then you give critiques of his form or playing snarkily and he goes "OHHHH Y/N, I was trying to be romantic!" and you both laugh it off. You both enjoy teasing each other like that.

Many Guitarists tend to be more relaxed and creative in their personalities and Roger loves that about you. It makes you so peaceful and fun to hang around and date!

One time for his birthday you write a song for him!!! And he loves it and even cries. Normally, he's the one writing for his muses never the other way around!! So he hugs you and gives you a big ol' smooch!

Both of you talk for hours about his songwriting- his ideas and the various songs you both play. What's easy, what's hard, what you want to learn, etc. (Plus Brian and Freddie Third Wheel so it becomes the guitarist circle)

Once there was a party that was getting very dull very quickly. (Someone suggested hard drugs and that guy was shut down quickly). So you got out your guitar and you and Roger began to duet. People started to request songs and you would try to see if you or Roger could play them- carefully switching the guitar between you two and enjoying the challenge.

Often your fingers are very calloused from all the playing and Roger will flip your hand onto the palm and kiss those lil'finger tips out of affection!!

My take on how Valeveira happens (to me)

It kind of starts after they get out of Raccoon City, but not really:

They crash in a hotel for a couple of days waiting for Chris to get there. They do not, in fact, fuck - no “thank god we’re not dead” nookie because neither has mentally grasped the fact that they’re safe now. It’s still too fresh in their minds, so they mostly just cling to each other and fortify their room and take turns keeping watch. They do sleep together (literally) once or twice. Jill has a nightmare about getting infected and killing him, he holds her through it. On day three, they make sure to exchange numbers in case anything else terrible happens. Also they smooch, but they both agree that maybe it’s not the best idea to fuck over the ashes of a city, and also that trauma bonds are a bit iffy.

Chris shows up, begrudgingly lets Carlos into the car when Jill gives him puppy eyes and they end up parting ways at maybe an airport(?) with a big ole hug that is over far too quickly. Jill and Chris catch a flight, Carlos slips away on a train to who-knows-where, and five years pass.

Five long years.

Jill has more adventures with the anti-zombie brigade and one day it ends up being too much. She quits with full military honors and a pretty damn good pension on top of that, and pretty much retires to (fictional city because it’s RE) Triers in northern France. She and Carlos have kept in touch, and are definitely good friends. They call, they chat, they confide. They hadn’t really gotten the chance this past year, though, so he doesn’t exactly know she’s in France for the foreseeable future.

When he shows up in Triers on vacation, Jill is completely shocked to just fucking see him out and about while she’s having a fucking noon pastry in a corner cafe. She flags him down, they’re both elated to see each other after five years, and they shoot the shit for two whole hours. There is an unspoken attraction between them. Carlos has gotten softer around the middle (hotter) and Jill has gotten a lot of new scars (hotter) so when he asks if she wants to go back to his hotel (he doesn’t know she lives here) she practically gets a nosebleed and jumps his bones right then and there.

They don’t make it out of the elevator before they’re trying to eat each other. Carlos fumbles with the door and Jill bangs her hip against a table. Just absolutely fucking it all up, they are so bad at this. They then proceed to fuck incredibly nasty for four hours and then order a pizza because neither of them can move. Being intimate in a hotel room brings back some memories and they spend the next eight hours just kind of unpacking what exactly happened in Raccoon City for, really, the first time (this is where she tells him about Arklay.) They whisper things they’ve never said aloud, promises they couldn’t ask of anyone else. They don’t know it yet, but this is the point of no return - when they truly fall in love. It is four in the fucking morning when they go to sleep completely tangled in each other.

Jill wakes up at 12 to the smell of warm oatmeal and Carlos’ shirt which is now on her for some reason. He woke up half an hour ago to make her breakfast. They sit on the bed and eat together in complete silence and it’s magical. Jill asks to borrow his shower, he insists they share (to save water, of course) and to everyone’s great surprise, they don’t fuck in it. They wash each other’s hair and then kind of hold each other for a bit in the warm water. Maybe they kiss real slow.

Once they get out and dry off, Carlos is pretty sad that they’ll likely never see each other again but Jill says “Wait! I forgot to mention that I live here!” and looks at Carlos with the happiest expression he’s ever seen and tells him, “You can stay with me for the rest of your vacation!” and Carlos’ face lights up like dog who got a treat for doing a really good job and then he checks out of his hotel early and they take a cab to Jill’s apartment and set up his stuff in the spare room (which will be moved to Jill’s bedroom not two days later) and they spend the next week having the time of their lives and then Carlos quits his honestly kind of shitty contractor job over email and tbh his ass had been living out of hotels for the past several years anyways so he really doesn’t have anything tying him down elsewhere and he just kind of stays forever as Jill’s unofficial husband while she works as an auto mechanic down the road and maybe he gets a job there too and eventually the owner gives it to them and they’re just happy for a good long while.

And then Chris comes to ask Jill to come out of retirement. Jill does come out of retirement, and so too does her sickass husband. They kick all sorts of ass and never have any kids.

The atmosphere at The Siren's Lure was vibrant as always. The air filled with the scent of spices and incense, masking the scent of sin. Silks hung before stained glass windows to further soften the light in varying hues of pink and purple. The interior filled with music and voices and the clinking of glasses. With heat and reverie.

And at the center of the party was Adonai, Lukios to most. Propped up on the bar laughing it up with a few patrons. Dressed in his usual finery. All his gold outshone by that perfect, inviting smile. He waved the pale haired bartender over. Before wrapping his arms around the shoulders of two inebriated men, pulling them into a casual hug as he addressed the man behind the bar.

"Evius. Make sure these men's cups never run dry," he laughed.

"Thass awful kinn uhf yoo, lukios," slurred one. His cup already being filled again.

The other added, "Yeah. Yoo really arr azz kinn azz theey shay. Nod liyke ozzer celebrities."

"Hey. I want you to feel comfortable," he purred. His voice sickeningly sweet and smooth. "Now if you need anything, you let me know, okay?"

At that, he watched as the two glanced toward one of the barmaids. A petite mousy thing that flinched as she noticed the men watching her. Quickly hurrying into the back. One of the men whistled after her before the two started their crude comments.

"Too bad shese sush a fuckin' bish..."

Adon's eye twitched.

"Maybe yoo coud mayke herr c'meere t' serve us. Eh?"

Though he maintained his smile, there was a glint in the musician's golden eyes. A hint of something more sinister. Violent. Predatory. His fingers squeezed the men's shoulders a bit too tightly.

"Well," he crooned. "I do take care of my own~" For the briefest moment, it seemed like black was peeking at the edges of his sclera. His grin grew wider, toothier.

"Which is why I don't take kindly when people put their hands on my girls..."

One of them opened their mouth as if to speak... just as both men passed out on the counter. There was a brief lull in conversation as their heads hit the bar. The closer crowds eying the situation. Though that was quickly remedied when Adon spun around, Clapping his hands together.

"Sorry for that. Next round's on me~"

Everyone in these parts knew how protective he was with his staff.

"Evius. Can you get started on these for me," he asked as the bar stools seemed to come to life, carrying the unconscious men into the back.

"You got it, boss."

Adon watched as Evius followed the stools. Makign his way to the back as well, stopping at a nearby table first.

"Hey Sylvie... You don't mind going ahead, do you? Something kind of came up," he said, gesturing toward the back.

"I can see that. And I don't mind. I'll let her know you'll be later. I don't think she really needs your help anyway."

"You're the best, Sylvie~ Give our little witch a big ol' smooch from me as an apology." He chuckled before walking off to handle the garbage.

"You know she'd smack you for that."

"Why do you think I'm asking you to do it~?"

(Aww, thank you! I'll be doing these two together with a lil bit of Garnet sprinkled in! :3)

At first, you and Garnet were just close friends. She saw you as such cause, well, why would she have romantic feelings for you? She loves herself!

However, when Ruby and Sapphire decide to spend sometime apart to become their own gems during the beginning of Era 3, they both seemingly run into a conundrum. Whenever they encounter you, their faces flush bright colours and they get the same feeling they do when they're together...they both love you...

At first, they completely avoided you because they were terrified. They loved one another, having these feelings for you would end up breaking them apart completely.

After a few weeks of these feelings, one of them, probably Sapphire, will confess that they've been feeling these romantic feelings towards you. Luckily, when the other confesses the same feelings, they both feel alot more comfortable.

Over the next few days, they discuss what they should do about these feelings they have for you. Eventually, they decide that Garnet will tell you she loves you.

When you reciprocate these romantic feelings, Garnet is so happy that she hugs you and immediately split into Ruby and Sapphire, both of them clinging to you and softly crying, happy that you had accepted their love.

In your new found relationship, you'll mainly be with Garnet. They're trying to spend a bit more time apart but they're still Garnet a majority of the time cause that's when they feel most comfortable.

She'll lift you up in the biggest hugs possible. No matter your physique, she can very easily lift you and snuggle you close. Hugs are a must when with Garnet.

Her second form of love is both compliments and support. She'll give you the best advice she can and help support you and your interests. Mental health is a game she crushes and she'll be sure to help you with anything like that.

When split into Ruby and Sapphire, Ruby is alot more physically affectionate whilst Sapphire is more verbally affectionate.

Ruby will tackle hug you whenever she sees you. Always be on guard cause she can appear anywhere and at anytime to just glomp you in a big ol hug.

She's also highly protective. If anyone is talking BS about you, she'll become a walking firework and you'll need to hug her with all your might to calm her down. Your hugs are along with Sapphire's as the only things that cool her off.

Sapphire is alot more mellow. Instead of running about in a forest, she'd much prefer sitting with you in a nice cafe, drinking some delicious tea and chatting about everything you want.

Everytime she meets you, she usually has a gift for you. This can range from something like a flower crown to a plush twice the size of her. Gift giving is her shiz.

Together, these two will tag team you. Trapped in cuddles, double cheek smooches and them each sitting on your lap. You're easily the biggest when they aren't fused so they use the opportunity to be held and snuggled.

If you want to, they'll even offer you to fuse with them. Nothing symbolises their love more then fusion. If you don't won't to, they completely understand but they'll always be happy to fuse if you ever want to.
