🍁Two to three chapters of High Fidelity

🍁 Maybe rewatch Over the Garden Wall with mom if she's up for it

Fall Study Challenge (transquilstudy)

Day 2: What was the last book you finished?

Back in July while on vacation with my family, I decided to read through as much of the Harry Potter series as I could (for probably the fifth time, lol). I got through the Prisoner of Azkaban, and unfortunately haven't read any books since. I can't wait for winter break where I'll hopefully finish up a few more books in the series while I spend some time relaxing.

Today I'm grateful for my family - it's been a very tough semester for me mentally, so it's been huge to have my family's support the past few weeks. They've reminded me on my accomplishments and future endeavors I'm lucky to have. Additionally, it's my birthday today so I feel very grateful for my friends and family that are helping me celebrate a bit.

Is it called something when you finish a book or book series and you no longer have an interest in reading? I finished a series and I’m not depressed about it and I want to continue reading but I keep picking up and putting down books and nothing is holding my interest. Like is that the same thing as reading slump or???

Day 9: Who is the best book villain in your opinion? And why?

Professor Serverus Snape.

I'm not sure I really need to explain it but I'll try 😆

Snape fuckes up and joins the death eaters - even though he himself is a half-blood...And as a young person, I'm not sure if he realised the only reason Riddle accepted him in his ranks was because of his talent for potion making.

Fast forward and HE is the reasons his childhood friend and crush is targeted by his master, so he begs Riddle to spare her, not giving any fucks about her son...at the same time Snape also sells his soul the second time- to Dumbledor and turns spy.

After the first wizarding war he becomes the Potion teacher at Hogwarts where he bullies student relentlessly.

Yes Snape was crucial for the war, but he didn't care about Harry no matter what some say. The only reason he agreed to protect Harry was because of Harry's mother, and nothing else.

Don't get me wrong, I like Snape, he is an important lesson for children that there are mean teachers, and that people are more complex than what you might think. And I do love fanfictions with Snape, but in the Harry Potter books and movies, he is a villain. And Alan Rickman was the perfect Snape.
