Girls Day (Howzer x Fem!Reader)

“Alema look! Hera shouted, practically dragging you towards the merchant stall that housed racks of jewelry made with braided twine.

You sighed and trotted along behind her.

“Hera if you want me to take you shopping I need my arm in its socket.”

“Sorry. Got a little excited.”

You both scanned the colorful array of handmade jewelry when your eyes landed in a stack of teal bracelets. Hera must have spotted them too because she looked up at you with wide green eyes.

“It’s the same color as Howzer’s armor!”

You smiled and turned to the woman running the stall.

“How much?” You asked.

The woman peered at the teal bracelets you pointed to and nodded. “Four credits each.”

You took out your little pouch and handed her eight credits, slipping one of the bracelets on Hera’s wrist and one on your own.

“Let’s take a Holo for Howzer.” You said, kneeling next to the girl and holding up your wrist. She did the same and gave the biggest grin she could.

You snapped the pic and stood, taking Hera’s hand again and leading her along as you sent the holo.

“Honorary squad members?” You typed, giggling at your own stupid joke.

A few seconds later your comm pinged. A picture of Ballast and Howzer flickered up.

“Nice try. We’ll defend you fine ladies with our lives though. Having a nice girls day, cyare?”

You blushed, still getting used to the nickname. Every time he used it, your insides turned to mush and you couldn’t help but feel like a giddy child.

Speaking of giddy children, you decided that a something cold and sweet sounded very good at the moment.

“Hera, dear. How do blue milkshakes sound?”

If the girl’s eyes could get any bigger, they wouldn’t fit her face. She nodded. “Yes please, Alema!”

After ordering and receiving the drinks, you both sat down in the shade to enjoy them.

You and Hera chatted about her schooling and about your latest project when another shadow loomed over the both of you. Your eyes followed teal and gray plastoid up until they met that beautiful face.

“Afternoon, m’ladies.”

You smiled. “Afternoon, Howzer.”

Hera beamed. “Hello Nerra!”

Eleni and Cham waved to their daughter from the distance, beckoning her over. She scrambled up to leave, but not before giving both you and your trooper a hug.

Howzer chuckled and sat down next to you. You offered him the rest of your milkshake, which he gladly accepted.

"You know, Mesh'la, I had to think about something today."

"Mm?" You hummed, leaning into his shoulder.

"Holos don't do justice to your beauty. I think I'd much rather see you in person."

You giggled and kissed his jaw, right over the scar that sat there. He gave you a cheeky grin and twisted the straw around the cup with his tongue.

"Oh, I think that can be arranged."

If you're still doing headcanons I have a few ideas, no pressure though! Feel free to ignore: 1: How do you think Zarbon, Dodoria, and the Ginyu force would be as babysitters for Kuriza? I can totally see them all being goofy uncles (especially the ginyus I mean, come on, you can’t say that’s not cute) 2: Hoo boy, I live for angst. (Kind of playing off the Kuriza in danger headcanons) How do you think Frieza would handle him going missing (via being kidnapped or assassins or something) and

Not a problem at all! I'm always up for headcanons.

In terms of the original Z Frieza Force as babysitters, I feel like Kuriza babysitting ends up being one of those out of the blue side assignments that eventually most of the elites have to take on at one point or another. Basically, if Frieza needs to take on something last minute and needs someone to watch Kuriza, usually in the event of Berryblue's unavailability (she'd definitely be elsewhere in the Force fleet during the events of Namek, else she wouldn't make it Super), it falls on one of his most trusted associates to take a temporary non-combatant position for this high honor- he doesn't let just anyone manage his son.

I headcanon Zarbon and Dodoria as babysitters as being similar to Dude Dad's "If Toddlers had Bodyguards" videos. The Ginyus are definitely more of the fun uncles. Guldo could probably get some entertainment going with his time-freezing ability. The gig is often a group effort, all members of the force willing to pitch it. However, Jeice, Burter, Guldo, and Recoome almost never get tasked with a solo job. This is because, out of the whole Ginyu Force, Kuriza imprints the most on Captain Ginyu himself- it's mainly because of the horns; Frieza would be in his First Form during this period. Ginyu doesn't mind at all- in fact, he welcomes the title of honorary uncle.

Kuriza of course picks up a plethora of poses from Uncle Ginyu... somewhat to Frieza's dismay once he starts striking said poses obsessively. It was a long week before that phase died down.

If we have Kuriza around during Namek era, I headcanon that he stayed with King Cold during that arc. Frieza deemed it a bit risky to take him along to Namek; good foresight there.

Now that we've covered the fluff, let's dive into the angst shall we?

Kuriza going missing would definitely send Frieza into an anxious frenzy, often going sleepless until Kuriza is found, deploying search parties and recovery teams to seek him out. Of course, there's great motivation in the teams' search efforts- they'll not only be spared the emperor's wrath but the first to find him will be rewarded handsomely.

At one point, Kuriza briefly wanders off to explore out of boredom during one of Frieza's conquests... not knowing that his brief little roaming would result in a pack of troops being sent to hunt him down. Frieza gets worried sick. What if he had gotten lost? What if he had gotten hurt? Kuriza wishes his hand would be held a bit less when he gets older.

On an unfamiliar planet, where his dominion has yet to be established, Frieza is given justifiable reason to worry, as Kuriza being the heir practically paints a target on his head. Kidnapping for a ransom can be a risky move, as it's rare that Frieza will pay up... instead the kidnapper may pay him in their own blood. Plus, Kuriza has powerful ki attacks on his side, a pretty effective "stranger danger" whistle.

Assassins are a whole different matter; even an attempt is an act of high treason. I've actually used this concept in some older one-shots. Assassins are dealt with swiftly and often very bloodily, and since most conspirators stem from within a planet's government as a coup, the punishment is often more widely spread across the lands.

In the very dark event of the assassins proving successful, Frieza enters a state of utmost fury, rational thought switching off, and the coup planet is destroyed without a second thought, no matter what value was left on its surface... his mentality is overwhelmed by his emotional half; why should he care about what valuable resources this planet of traitors has to offer when they've taken his most valuable resource from him? After the initial heat, there is a depression soon to follow. Negligent parties are reprimanded accordingly yet he feels there's a pang of blame to be put on himself.

MANDALORIAN/ TWISTED WONDERLAND CROSSOVER BRAINROT

Ok this is maybe far-fetched but you can’t stop me either way.

Okay so The mandalorian arrives in twisted Wonderland either by 

A: Mirrors shenanigans we all love that one.

Or 

B: Enforcing Crowley’s theory that Twst is not another world but rather a planet, Mando just crashes onto an unknown planet that just happens to be Twst.

And you CANNOT  tell me Mando isn’t going to adopt Yuu as soon as he lays eyes on them. This CHILD is putting themselves in danger without anyone supervising?!? Hold my beer Grogu you’re having a new sibling. 

Also Mando has a passive-agressive dad war with Crowley. Yuu has to constantly stop her newfound dad from shooting the Mean Bird Man. He has nothing else to do so he follows Yuu all day like a bodyguard.

He tolerates Ace and Deuce, but it’s an evidence he prefers the latter. He thinks Ace is bitchy (same) but Mando learns Deuce has no father so he adopts him too. In short he adopts 99% of NRC: Riddle, Cater, Deuce, Leona, Ruggie, Azul, Kalim, Jamil, Vil, Epel, Idia, Ortho(he has his doubts on Ortho at first since he’s a Robot/droid, but the dad instinct is too strong), Sebek.

He absolutely despises the Tweels and thinks they are a horrible influence on Yuu. Again, Yuu has to stop him from shooting something. He doesn’t adopt Silver because he already knows he has a father figure(Lilia). He trusts Lilia as one of his own, a honorary Mandalorian.

Also he doesn��t care if Malleus is a god-like person, as soon as he learns Yuu is dating him(yes MalleYuu you should have seen it coming) he turns like this:

Lisa sees herself as your big sister, and she takes the responsibility of watching over you very seriously. She likes to tease you about your crushes, do your makeup if you wear it, and the two of you even have sleepovers every once in a while. It's a nice change of pace for her to socialize with someone like this. It's different than Jean just accompanying her on her errands in town when she has free time.

As your honorary big sister and your closest confidant, Lisa is quick to pick up on the signs that show you're uncomfortable. She'll gently take your hand and give it a small squeeze, wordlessly asking if you need to take a breather. If you do, she'll keep a gentle hold on your hand as she pulls you somewhere safe and quiet.

By this point she's well aware that you get nervous a lot, and unfortunately, the wrong people have taken notice, too. You've seen how angry she gets when someone forgets to return their library books, but there's no words to describe the kind of anger that overtakes her when she sees people pushing you too far.

And if they make you start crying? She'll bring them to their knees and leave them begging for mercy. If she wasn't a librarian for the Knights of Favonius, she would have done much worse.

Arataki Itto

Oh my GOSH this man is so fiercely protective of you.

"You're a bonafide member of the Arataki Gang. If someone messes with you, they mess the whole fam, the broskis, mi familia, you get what I'm sayin?"

Itto's a guy that prefers honesty over flattery, and when it comes to you especially, he wants you to feel free to tell him how you feel. Don't worry. You can't hurt his feelings no matter what you say! (or at least not too badly...).

It only takes one conversation of you revealing that you have bad social anxiety for Itto to assemble the "Supreme Arataki Protection Squad." This means that every time you go into town, you're surrounded by your own personal bodyguards on all sides--with Itto leading the group at the center, of course!

You do get a little embarrassed at the fact that the townspeople are staring at this protective barrier/huddle with a mixture of surprise and confusion, but you are appreciative of Itto's thoughtfulness nonetheless.

It's kind of strange--but also adorable--that Itto also collects things for you to help make you feel better. These items can range from beetles to sakura blooms to even a stolen standee of Ms. Hina (you'll have to explain that one to the authorities later). It's sort of like how a pet brings you something and they sit there anticipating you to praise them for their gift. Yeah, basically that's Itto.

As long as it makes you smile, Itto calls his work a job well done. But he'll still go above and beyond for you, always checking in to make sure you're doing well. Even if all he can offer is his companionship (considering he ends up broke a lot lol), he'll be there for you. That's what friends do, and you'll have a hard time finding one more loyal than Itto.

Diluc Ragnvindr

Diluc is just the sweetest man. Maybe not to everyone else, but he is to you. Everyone knows that he has a hard time opening up considering all the things that happened in his past, so if he calls you his friend, you're someone truly special.

He hasn't told you that he's the illusive Darknight Hero yet, but you have met the handsome man clothed in black several times. You notice how he always seems to clear the area of monsters on your path home, jumping in to save you when you're being ambushed the Fatui or by treasure hoarders. You know it's him, but you pretend to stay oblivious, secretly grateful for his protection.

He's made sure that the Angel's Share is a safe place for you. Ever since you've told him that you're super anxious in public, he's worked to implement discreet ways for you to convey your thoughts and feelings to him or to the staff.

If you ask him for a secret drink that's not on the menu, Diluc will ask Charles to take over his shift while he steps outside with you. He brings you somewhere nearby that's quiet and helps you calm down as he best he can (in his own Diluc way).

Diluc's not an outwardly affectionate man, but he will never hesitate to offer you his hands to hold or his arms to run into. His main concern is keeping you grounded, and if that means clinging onto him, taking in the comforting warmth of his pyro vision, then he is happy to be your anchor.

"I've never been good at dealing with my emotions--much less someone else's--but never hesitate to come to me with your problems. I will do everything in my power to comfort you however I can. It's the least I can do for you after everything you've done for me."

Diluc may typically be a grumpy, tired business owner, but Charles and the Winery staff have seen firsthand how his demeanor softens around you. So much so that they're blessed with a now frequent sight: a genuine, carefree smile adorning his face when he looks at you.

• Driver would hold your hand your hand on late night drives, never initiating at first because he's nervous but Always holding you tight if you want to. He'd always softly ask permission to kiss you, even if it's just a quick smooch on your hand.

• Ken couldn't even IMAGINE hurting you, it's just not something he can comprehend! When he thinks about you it's always sparkles and hearts and holding you tight enough to forget any worries

• Six knows what pain feels like and can't bear to think about you feeling like that, so he's always there to prevent Anything from hurting you (even if that something is just it being too cold outside lol). He knows what flashbacks and old trauma feel like too so he's perfectly equipped to ground you and make sure you feel safe, guiding your breathing, getting you water, and never tiring of any reassurances you need from him. He'd probably insist on teaching you self defense though lol

• Noah's a Southern gentleman, so any chance he gets to help you he LEAPS on, holding the door open, cooking you breakfast, and threatening ANYTHING that might harm you with his shotgun

• Dean is devoted to you like no other, he'd play love songs on his ukulele and dance with you whenever he could. He lives for a chance to make you laugh, it makes his life worth living

• Patrick is protective in his own way, he may be violent but NEVER with you. He'd show you off to all his accounting colleagues, holding you close so no one can forget that he's Yours

I always struggle with feeling unsafe, especially during flashbacks or nightmares or just having bad/scary memories resurface in general. Every day has been so hard. BotW Tulin deserves his own adventure

I love little baby Rito, and I was struck once again by an idea

Rito Village is heartbreakingly small, but after Calamity Ganon is defeated and the borders of Hyrule finally being open to their neighbors once again, Rito from far away have begun to travel again to find any remaining family

Since the defeat of Calamity Ganon, rumors have spread of the Queen of Hyrule being the one to finally return to free her people from their oppression after a lifetime of prayer. A counter rumor has begun that says the Champion of Hyrule, once fallen 100 years ago, has in fact returned to succeed where he had failed before. Further rumors of the other Champion have also evolved, but nothing has come out of any of them

Tulin is mostly worried for Link, who hasn't been by in months

A new flock of Rito have arrived to the village, a cause of celebration. With this flock is a 'feral' Rito who grew up without a flock but is otherwise kind and willing to engage with everyone as he learns about not only the customs of the flock that found and adopted him, but also these new customs to Hyrule's Rito Village

Tulin is curious but also intimidated by the influx of new Rito

Kass is most intrigued because this feral Rito actually breaks a few different traditions with his mixed interest in not only warrior training but also music. Not because these traditions are usually gender oriented, but because of the way he knows them. - when singing, this Rito dances in unusual and moving ways that are less about flashing his plumage for enforced or hidden meanings related to traditional emotions, but as a way to let his entire body tell a tale that strengthens his words. At a glance, it's amateurish, but looking deeper into his actions reveals so much more truth, almost sage-like clairvoyance - when fighting, this Rito is frighteningly proficient in not only weapon capability, but also in ways that use a terrain usually reserved for greater generals or strategists the likes of which was last known in Revali and historical figures

Molli is offended that all of his skills do not translate to instrumental skills in any way

Usually bright in color, all of the Rito are unsure what to make of this dull feathered Rito, though his character and mannerism are more than bright enough to make one forget his brown and simple speckled plumage until startled by the realization once again. He is, thankfully, unbothered, easily pointing out Teba and Harth even though his feathers camouflage him all too easily

Then the Feral Rito, name going between Apple, which he has chosen, and Kweiru, which was more properly Rito chosen by the flock that found him, makes a comment that makes Tulin wonder if he could just go find Link if his Hylian brother wasn't going to come to him

This causes the entirety of the Rito Village and the New Flock to panic as the Feral Rito disappears with the entirety of the younger rito fledglings

Tulin and the other kids all bring the Feral Rito out to play, or so they say. Once they leave the village, they keep walking further and further away, until they finally reveal their plan to have this new Rito protect them as they search for Tulin's missing brother

The Feral Rito is distressed. Very very distressed and impressed by the ingenuity that pretty much kidnapped him, but also completely worried about retribution against him because even though he has been kidnapped, literally no one would believe him over the 7+ kids forcing him to act as their bodyguard as they run away in solidarity to find their honorary Flock Mate

(The Feral Rito is extra distressed, because he had no idea about this brother of Tulin's, and he fears the missing Rito was not actually missing and Tulin was only told as much because of the finality of death being hard for kids to understand)

The fledglings are rendered speechless to realize their new wild guide can find diamonds and throw them away in the span of 5 minutes

Food cooked by this Feral Rito is either mouthwateringly delicious or nauseatingly scary because apparently the guy has no dependable taste buds

During their road trip, the fledglings learn Rito history with each prophetic song or dance their guide offers as a bedtime ritual, and then they have to teach him something about Everyday Rito Facts, because he just doesn't know

It takes a week before the Feral Rito gives up on being caught and then he really starts to teach the fledglings how to travel the wild land of Hyrule

and here is the brother that the storks forgot to deliver to lua. despite being very close in age—a mere three day gap—their relationship resembles one of an older brother and his younger sister. which is kinda ironic to think about, given how lua is the older one of the pair, but everyone tends to forget that when they see clips of seonghwa doting over her, only to playfully bat the other members away when they try to get close to her. unless it's another idol, then he'll settle with pouting with woosan until their precious moon is "returned" to them.

did you really think this would be another sibling type relationship? jokes on you because this is one where the role of mother gets tossed between them. sometimes it's hongjoong who's adding a hearty portion of food onto her plate to make sure she's full and satisfied, regardless of what the haters may see. other times it's lua scolding the leader for staying up too late in his studio before praising him for making another track that deserves to be called song of the year. most of the time, it's just them being wanting the best for each other.

puppy meets kitten. the end . . . not— lua admits that yunho was one of the two members that truly intimidated her. at first, she used to be cautious around him but after some events (that author may or may not disclose in the future) occurred, their relationship shifted for the better. nowadays, lua is more open to the warm affection that the male glomps her in, and yunho is . . . still yunho. to be fair, he does become even more energetic when lua joins him in the chaos. hm, i wonder why?

greetings to the sus ship! out of all the members, lua has to say that she's closest to san. perhaps it's because he was the first person she befriended after entering kq, and that's right, but there's more to it than that. throughout her journey, he is there to make sure she is comfortable. he's always the first to volunteer to do anything for her, including staying behind with her when she wants to do extra practice. he would call himself her honorary brother but hwa’s got that position so he’ll settle with platonic soulmate.

fun fact: mingi was the one who was afraid of lua. as in, he actually used anything and everything to hide himself from her peripheral view. similar to her relationships with everyone else in the group, spending time as teammates culminated in the two being good friends. now it's no longer shocking to see them cuddle while sleeping in the waiting room or in the dorms. yes, lua knows she has her own bed. no, she will not let go of her hugging pillow named mingi.

JUNG WOOYOUNG ⋆ WOOYUE

wooyue? more like seonghwa's worst nightmare. i kid you not, the moment these two are within a close distance, chills are running all over seonghwa. it's not that them hanging out is a bad thing— no, it is. it's bizarre how lua went from being intimidated by the younger male, to wreaking plenty of havoc with him. we can only guess that's wooyoung's power: influence. (lies, yeosang had to do some intervening so the younger male would stop sulking.)

CHOI JONGHO ⋆ JONGHUA

don't put them in the same team, part two. as the bodyguards of ateez, their physical strength can be very intimidating. the other members prefer to not going against them during games like arm wrestling— you know, for the sake of their health. these two don't need a personal trainer for they rely on each other to do two simple things: point out what must be improved, and hype each other up. plus, the service is free so their wallets are thanking them for that.

More headcanons on the skinks since they’re growing on me

First off: A brief recap of my other headcanons

Shupavu, Njano, and all the other skinks are little shits who lowkey take advantage to Kenge and Sumu acting as their personal bodyguards. They’re practically untouchable

Njano is basically the Hodari of Kiburi’s float, except he doesn’t hold the title of an “honorary crocodile”. He’s just tags along for the ride.

Okay! Now for the rest!

Shupavu and Ushari absolutely had a thing going on. It was a typical friends to lovers scenario, where they caught feelings for each other the more they hung out and realized how much they had in common. It affected her the most when the love of her life died

His death is what caused her and the other skinks to somewhat reform after Jasiri was made prime minister. She originally had no intention to, but after Jasiri tried to persuade her and the more she thought about it, the more she didn’t wanna end up like her boyfriend and decided to give it a chance (Ushari may or may not have given her a sign to say yes)

Nowadays, it’s a “rumor” that she and Njano are dating, only they keep denying it and saying that they’re just close friends. They’re always next to each other no matter what, but they’re not dating

-They talk about each other when they’re with their other friends, but they’re not dating

-I mean, Sumu’s caught them secretly kissing when no one was around, but they’re not dating-

They still serve as spies, whether the animals want them to or not

As I stated in another post, the skinks have a motto: Lizards gotta stick together. No matter what species you are, whether they like you or not, they have your back if you’re in danger

Since skinks are basically on their own the moment they hatch, they have the freedom of coming up with their own names. Like all reptiles, they’re born knowing how to talk

They’re kinda envious that Hodari and Kenge are able to stand on two legs, so they’re learning how to do that. Shupavu, the stubborn skink she is, is determined to learn on her own and refuses to let anyone help in any way. Njano, on the other hand, is like a child wanting to show an adult something they can do

“Hey, Kenge! I think I got it! Kenge, watch me! Kenge! Are you looking???”

Being the little shits they are, Shupavu and Njano are 100% the type to roast/annoy their captors if they ever got kidnapped. Shupavu would even flirt with them as a joke, saying stuff like “Oh you’re stupid, hm? I can work with stupid. I just love the dumb ones~”

Njano is the most social out of all of them. Unlike the others, he’ll willingly make friends with other animals

I can't bring myself to read ctb cus it sounds so thoroughly angsty but based off of what I've heard from following you the mental image of the chain showing up at Spirit's hyrule and him opening his door and seeing all of them, and then locking eyes with Warriors before slamming the door closed just popped into my head and I thought you'd like to hear about it

You're pretty close to the right idea, but I propose that Spirit would be 100 times pettier and more bitter than just slamming a door.

Unsurprisingly, I have had a few ideas of how a present day Warriors and the Chain meeting of Spirit would go, and I think the one I vibe with the most is this:

The Chain arrives in New Hyrule and Warriors realizes immediately that this can only go badly

So what he needs to do is get to Spirit before everyone else to do some damage control

Meanwhile Time realizes that Spirit can potentially reveal that Time has been lying by omission about being the child, so he needs to get to Spirit before everyone else to do some damage control

Both Time and Warriors have different ideas as to where Spirit could be and are both suspiciously amendable to splitting up the team to check different places

Time thinks he has the best idea and takes a train to where everyone says is the town where the Royal Engineer lives (which is not in Castle Town)

Warriors meanwhile remembers that Spirit was dating Zelda, and is 100% certain that Spirit is in Castle Town somewhere, if not the castle itself

Warriors's is correct; there seems to be some kind of ball happening at the castle tonight, which is a perfect event for the Royal Engineer and boyfriend of the princess to attend

And he's the only one on his team with nice enough clothes to reasonably pass as a noble, which means he can leave everyone else behind and get one-on-one time with Spirit

Meanwhile, Spirit is Not Having a Good Time Right Now

He and Zelda broke up a couple of years ago so (he didn't want to be the prince consort), and neither of them are really having a lot of luck getting over each other

As an honorary member of the Castle Guard and Zelda's bodyguard, he keeps on having to attend these fancy events where he has to watch other people flirt with the woman he is still deeply in love with

Needless to say, he's already in a bad mood.

With a lot of people in one room, his spirit senses are a little muddled and it's taking all his concentration just to track Zelda, but he keeps on picking up a spirit he hasn't felt in a very, very long time

A spirit that makes him feel like he's burning up

But there's so many people here that he's not sure. Plus he always thinks he senses Warriors nearby when his anxiety spikes up, so this is easy to write off as a trick of the mind

So Spirit is a bit distracted when a hand grabs his elbow and turns him around

And it's him

The captain

And Warriors knows from the start that this was going to go bad, so he immediately restrains him and pulls him into an alcove to talk

The problem is that the moment he releases Spirit so that they can converse, Spirit shouts for help

And that catches Warriors off guard so badly that Spirit manages to break free and draw his sword

And they fight

Spirit is fairly ruthless towards Warriors, so when the fight spills back into the ballroom, it ruins the whole party and the Castle Guard has to step in.

Warriors is arrested for trespassing and assault

(Spirit also smacks a treason charge on there just to be petty)

So Warriors gets thrown into the maximum security cell of the castle dungeon

The rest of Warriors's team realizes what happened and have to go get Time and the others so that they can plan a heist to rescue him

Luckily, Time and his team is already on his way back; they were told the moment they arrived at the engineer's workshop that Spirit was at the castle

Everyone has these giant heist plans for how to break Warriors out, but Time says he knows who to talk to about getting Warriors released

Everyone else is super confused, but starting to piece together that there is Something Going On Here

And you can decide from there how this pans out. What do Spirit and Warriors talk about while Warriors is arrested? How does Time's confrontation with Spirit go?

A shorter idea is that they just walk into Spirit's garage while he's there, and Spirit throws a wrench at Warriors's head

Rebecca and Peter(wildnorwester) r the standard gauge parents in my big engine/express gang, Peter managed to get both gordon and flying Scotsman to have a proper meal, restaurant and get along. He kinda like Edward in a way but at the same time different (Gordon might’ve called him dad once but was instantly mortified but Peter promises he’ll a secret)

speaking of, they share custody with ivo hugh and Luke with the narrow gauge and diesels, they take them on weekends, Rebecca adopts them. She’s also very close friends with Stanley(msr/narrow gauge) cause clumsy but well meaning. Stanley’s a honorary member of the big engines club even if he’s lost and confused over their shenanigans but he chills with them.

Falcon and Andreas(wildnorwester) r express gossip buddies, have been since the beginning and closure of the msr, they often try and get Terence and Godred so they can exchange the hot scoops with one another

Edward and Cecil(87546) are best friends, Cecil kinda acts like his bodyguard and is protective of his friends even though he’s super quiet, he was frightened of roughly everyone even the narrow and mini gauge engines at first, but everyone can tell he slowly becoming more happier even if he doesn’t talk much, he appreciates it a lot

Adam (wildnorwester) diesel and Alfred r friends cause they’re trying to redeem themselves (Alfred here is different, he was a huge jerk but he’s different) they still put tricks and pranks but it’s more lighthearted now(Alfred finds diesel’s names to the strike trio to be hilarious and wished he taught of that sooner) they often just vibe

“Why am I here again?” You asked, looking over at your sister. The two of you, along with the entire Cullen family, were hanging around in some snow-covered clearing in the woods, waiting for the Quileute wolves to show up so that they could renegotiate the treaty, so that, hopefully, the Cullens could turn Bella without causing a full-on war to break out. “I get that this is important to you and all, but Bells, I’m human, and I don’t really want that to change, so I don’t see how this involves me.”

“Because you’re an honorary Cullen, human or otherwise.” Bella grinned at you, reaching over to shove you playfully, “And Emmett wouldn’t shut up about seeing his future brother-in-law again, so I figured this would be a good time to bring you to visit.” She shrugged, looking back out toward the wall of trees in the direction of the reservation, “Besides, having another normal person here might help convince everyone to keep a level head.”

You snorted, crossing your arms over your chest, “Bells, you’re a lot of things, but normal definitely isn’t one of them.” You waited with your sister for a few more minutes before getting bored and going to go talk to Alice and Jasper.

Time seemed to have been passing even slower for Emmett than it had been for you, since you’d barely even greeted the dainty vampire and her mate before the brunet’s arms snaked around your waist and dragged you up against his chest and you barely had enough time to close your eyes before he was suplexing you into a snow drift.

To mess with him, you remained perfectly still once he’d let go of you, even going so far as to hold your breath. There was a lot of shouting, far more than if it had been just the Cullens to witness your little prank, meaning the wolves had undoubtedly arrived just in time to see you get pitched into a snowbank. There was the expected moment of arguing but before you knew it, you’d been hauled up out of the snow by a pair of arms so warm that you had to wonder whether hypothermia had set in upon impact.

“What the hell, leech?!” The chest you were being held against rumbled as it’s owner growled, “Not enough to have to kill things to exist, now you go killing your own sympathizers!”

You could hear Emmett snarling and you knew that you needed to intervene before things got even further out of hand. You jerked against the stranger’s grip, forcing yourself out of their arms and back to your feet. “Don’t get your fur in a bunch, Fido,” you grumbled, stumbling a little as you tried to regain your balance. “I’m fine, just a little colder than I’d like to be.” It was then that you looked up at your ‘rescuer.’

His hands were still extended out toward you to help steady you if you needed it, but now you’d been knocked off balance for an entirely different reason. He was tall, towering over you easily even though you really weren’t all that short yourself, and he was built, with thick arms and a defined chest and abs and the rich russet color of his skin only made his musculature all the more appealing. Suddenly you were a little regretful that your playing-dead act had ended so soon. He had close cropped black hair that nearly matched the pitch-dark eyes that were fixated on you, like the two of you were the only people left in the world. 

His lips twitched up into a tiny grin, like it was meant for you and you only. “Hi,” he said, voice small and breathless like he’d just run a marathon. “I’m Paul.”

You’d opened your mouth to respond when you were cut off by the celebratory whoops and hollers coming from the rest of the wolf pack. Your brows furrowed and you turned away from Paul to see what all the commotion was about.

You could see Edward murmur something quietly to the rest of the family, dark amber eyes flickering warily between the two of you. Emmett bristled, storming over and planting himself between the two of you. “No way in hell,” he said, crossing his arms over his chest. “Any of the other mutts I could’ve learned to live with, but you? Fat fucking chance.”

The werewolf’s shoulders straightened and you could tell he was trying to hold himself back. “It’s not really any of your business anyway.”

“Not my business?” Emmett hissed, tensing at the insinuation. “(M/N)’s my best friend! It’s definitely my business if some mongrel thinks it’s his place to come try and steal him away!”

It was fair to say that you were incredibly confused, but you knew that your first step needed to be defusing the situation. “Emmett,” you said, putting a hand on his shoulder as you spoke, “You wanna tell me what’s got you so pissy?”

Rosalie was the one to answer you, stalking forward to stand beside her husband and glare at Paul. “This pathetic little puppy imprinted on you.”

“Imprinted?” Your brows furrowed and you glanced toward the rest of the pack for an explanation.

Jacob, the only one of the wolves you’d actually met before now, nodded at you, “It’s, uh, kind of like soulmates. When a wolf imprints, it’s like their person is the only thing that matters anymore. Like they’re what’s holding you to the planet, not gravity.”

“Oh.” Well. That hadn’t been what you were expecting. You turned back to look at the vampires blocking you from Paul’s sight, nudging your way past them with a sigh so you could look up at Paul. “Is that true? Did you imprint on me?”

You could see him swallow hard before he forced himself to speak, “Y-yeah.” He was quick to backtrack, “But it doesn’t have to be r-romantic or anything, if that’s not what you want or you aren’t into guys or anything. We could just be friends? Or, uh, whatever you want me to be, really?”

You couldn’t help but smile a little; he was cute when he got flustered. “Tell you what, after this, if negotiations go well, I’ll let you take me out to dinner and we can talk about it, okay?”

Paul brightened, a wide grin taking over his features, “Yeah? Yeah.” He paused, seemingly getting lost in thought for a second, “Yeah-” He pulled a face, “I said that already. Um, sure. Anywhere you want is fine, I’ll just be happy to be there,” he grinned at you sheepishly, ducking his head to hide the faint blush coloring his cheeks.

Carlisle chose that moment to interrupt, “Well, with that excitement settled,” he started, shooting the two of you an amused grin. Esme smiled at the two of you from her place beside him, “I believe we have a treaty to discuss?”

Emmett and Rosalie headed back to the rest of the Cullens with a huff, but the rest didn’t seem all too bothered about your new bodyguard/soulmate. Alice even looked excited, bouncing up and down on her toes and speaking quickly to Jasper, probably already planning your wedding even though you and Paul had just barely met. 

You took a few steps toward the group before a thought struck you. You turned to look over your shoulder at the werewolf, “Hey, Paul? You said you’d be anything I needed you to, right?”

He perked up as you addressed him, grinning back at you. “Absolutely.”

“Well,” you started, smirking mischievously, “I’m still pretty chilly, so I could really use a space heater?”

Paul smiled as he realized what you meant, waiting until you turned back to listen to the negotiations to drape himself over you, slipping his arms around your middle so he could pull you flush against his chest. He pressed a barely-there kiss to your shoulder before setting his chin there so he could still see what was happening. He may not have known what you’d want from him in the future, but right now, with you in his arms, Paul was perfectly content.

You guys both have very stressful busy schedules, so you order in pretty often. You take turns picking which place to get takeout from.

On rare nights, Karma decides to be nice and cook a meal for you both, then you do the dishes. That is very rare tho

One of your favorite pastimes together is camping out on the couch and watching some trashy show, usually a reality one or smth. And you both criticize it but also enjoy it, and you make fun of each other

Tbh living with him is also like having a bodyguard. That creepy tenant down the hall staring at you? Please, Karma will immediately make sure that stops.

You guys would invite your friends over, but your apartment is still such a mess oml

Sugino still drops by sometimes just to make sure you both haven’t killed each other and that you’re eating vegetables

Basically, being Karma’s roommate would mean you’re never bored, but you’d probably have headaches a lot keeping up with him.

A lot of nights, you find him passing out at his desk at 4am from studying his teacher material. When that happens, you just gently give him a pillow and wrap a blanket around him.
