If I start this first week of July I’m gonna only have two months to play through them so I’d have to be streaming pretty frequently or for long periods of time

GAME ON
Rugby!Sevika x College Roommate Reader
Tumblr media
CHAPTER THREE
You had just finished applying your nighttime moisturizer when you heard a low, annoyed sigh from behind yourself.
You glanced over your shoulder to find Sevika lying on her bed, metal arm draped across her forehead, legs stretched out, her phone resting on her stomach. Her damp hair was messy from a post-practice shower, strands sticking to her forehead, and she was wearing nothing but a white ribbed wife beater and loose blue boxers.
The sight of her like that—relaxed, undone—was unfairly attractive.
You quickly turned back to your vanity, pretending to be deeply invested in you skincare routine. "What’s with the dramatic sighing?"
Sevika let out another long exhale, more over dramatic than the last. "I need help."
You frowned slightly, dabbing a bit of lip balm on. "With…?"
"Homework," Sevika admitted begrudgingly. "Stats. It’s kicking my ass."
You bit back a smile. You had never heard Sevika admit to struggling with anything. "And you want my help?"
Your roommate rolled onto her side, propping herself up on her elbow. "Yeah, princess, I do."
Something about the way she said princess—all slow and teasing—made your stomach tighten in a way you did not appreciate.
You cleared your throat, shaking it off. "Alright," you said, standing up and stretching. "Let’s see what we’re working with."
Sevika scooted over, making space for you to sit on the edge of her bed. The dorm wasn’t huge, so the proximity was unavoidable. You could feel the warmth radiating off Sevika’s skin, smell the faint mix of clean laundry, soap, and something deeper—woodsy and warm.
You focused very, very hard on Sevika’s laptop screen. "Okay, show me where you’re stuck."
Sevika groaned, running a hand through her damp hair. "Literally all of it."
You bit back a laugh and pulled the laptop onto your lap, scanning the assignment. "It’s not that bad. You just have to break it down."
For the next twenty minutes, you walked Sevika through the basics, explaining things in a way that actually made sense. Sevika, to her credit, tried to keep up, even though she was clearly exhausted.
At some point, she flopped back onto her pillows, groaning dramatically. "I don’t know how you do this."
You smirked. "Because I actually pay attention in class?"
Sevika opened one eye. "Rude."
You shrugged. "Just saying."
She smirked, eyes flickering toward your desk, cluttered with makeup and textbooks. "You’re such a nerd, you know that?"
You scoffed. "I am not."
"You literally have color-coded notebooks and a planner with stickers," The woman next to you teased.
"And you have no organization at all," You shot back.
"That’s why I have you," Sevika said, voice low and easy.
Your breath hitched for a fraction of a second before you yourself to ignore whatever that meant.
Instead, you changed the subject. "What do you listen to when you study?"
Sevika stretched her arms above her head, considering. "Depends. If I actually need to focus, probably Frank Ocean... If I’m hyping myself up? Kendrick."
You raised an eyebrow. "You would listen to Kendrick."
She smirked. "What, you don’t?"
"I mean, I do sometimes," you admitted. "But I listen to a lot of Queen, Chappel Roan…"
Sevika tilted her head. "Okay, Queen is solid. I didn’t know you had taste."
You rolled your eyes. "Gee, thanks."
The two of you lapsed into a comfortable silence. You leaned back slightly, stretching out your legs, your knee brushing against Sevika’s massive thigh. You pretended not to notice the slight touch.
Sevika’s gaze flickered toward your bed, and a slow smirk spread across her face. "You know," she said, "your bed looks like it belongs to a twelve-year-old."
You gasped. "Excuse me?"
She chuckled, nodding toward the pink fluffy comforter, the fairy lights strung up along the headboard, three extra fluffy blankets, the literal pile of stuffed animals.
"Do not come for my bed," you said, crossing your arms. "It’s cozy."
"It’s adorable. And childish," Sevika corrected, clearly amused.
You huffed. "Well, yours looks like a prison cot."
Your incredibly rude roommate shrugged. "What, you want me to throw a few teddy bears on it?"
You smirked. "I dare you."
Sevika chuckled, shaking her head. "Not happening, princess."
You rolled her eyes at her, standing up and stretching. "Your loss. Stuffed animals are great."
Sevika watched you for a moment, something unreadable flickering behind her eyes. But then she just smirked. "Night, Y/N. Thanks for the homework help."
You nodded, slipping into bed and turning off the light. "Night, Sevika."
——————————————————————
That night, you had a dream.
A very inappropriate, very vivid dream.
You were back in the dorm, but something was different. The air was heavy, charged. You was standing in front of Sevika, close enough to feel her warmth, close enough to notice the way her eyes darkened as she looked at you.
Sevika reached out, her metal fingers brushing against your bare shoulder, trailing down your arm in a way that sent a shiver through your entire body.
"You drive me insane, you know that?" Sevika’s voice was low, rough. Almost scary.
You swallowed hard. "I—"
Before you could finish the thought, Sevika’s hands were on your waist, tugging you forward. Your bodies pressed together, and you could feel every hard line of muscle against your own soft curves.
Sevika leaned in, lips ghosting over your neck, breath warm against your skin. "I bet you taste as sweet as you smell."
Your knees nearly buckled.
You felt Sevika’s mouth trail lower down your neck, hot and teasing, and—
You woke up gasping for air.
Your heart was pounding, your skin burning, your entire body wired with heat.
You squeezed your eyes shut, willing the dream to disapear, willing yourself to forget.
But it was no use.
Because now, when you looked over at Sevika’s sleeping figure—her broad shoulders, her steady breathing, the way her wife beater had ridden up just enough to reveal a sliver of brown skin—all you could think about was how it had felt to have Sevika’s hands on her.
Even if it had only been a dream.
————————————————————————-
The cafe was cozy, nestled between two bookstores on a quiet street just off campus. It smelled like espresso and sugar, warm with the hum of soft indie music playing overhead. Students occupied almost every table, laptops open, notebooks spread out, the occasional burst of laughter cutting through the steady murmur of conversation.
You sat across from Sevika in a booth near the window, your laptop open in front of you, a half-drunk strawberry iced matcha in your hand. You had thrown your hair up into an updo a few minutes ago, not thinking much of it—until she noticed Sevika watching you.
You weren’t sure why Sevika was watching you, but something about the weight of her gaze made your stomach tighten into knots and flood with butterflies.
You focused on your laptop, pretending that you weren’t suddenly very aware of Sevika’s eyes on you.
"So, where were we?" You asked, clearing your throat.
Your roommate blinked, as if she had been lost in thought. "Uh. Something about probability."
You bit back a smile. "Something about probability?"
Sevika smirked, sipping her incredibly boring espresso. "I don’t know, princess. That’s your job to figure out."
You rolled your eyes. "You’re impossible."
"And yet," Sevika said, leaning forward on her elbows, "you agreed to help me."
You sighed dramatically, clicking back onto the stats assignment. "Unfortunately."
Sevika chuckled but let you get back to explaining. For the next hour, you walked her through the material, breaking it down in a way that made sense, your fingers tapping against the table as you spoke.
Sevika wasn’t listening as much as she should have been.
She was too distracted by the way you absentmindedly chewed your bottom lip while you concentrated. The way your tank top hugged your figure perfectly, the soft golden glint of your necklaces, the smooth lines of your throat.
She definitely wasn’t thinking about the way you had lifted your arms to tie up your hair earlier, exposing the subtle curve of your waist, the sliver of tanned skin above the waistband of your jeans.
Nope. Not thinking about that at all.
You, on the other hand, were struggling for very different reasons.
Your mind had been a disaster all morning. Every time you looked at Sevika—really looked at her—flashes of last night’s dream hit you like a freight train. The heat of Sevika’s hands on your waist. The low rasp of her voice. The way her lips had felt, warm and teasing against your skin—
You clenched your jaw, pushing the thought far, far away. You were being ridiculous. It was just a dream.
Sevika caught you staring. "You good?"
Your face burned bright red. "Yes."
Sevika narrowed her eyes slightly, but let it go.
You wrapped up the study session about twenty minutes later, finishing off your drinks as students came and went around you two.
Sevika stretched her arms above her head, letting out a deep sigh. "Alright, nerd. I think my brain is officially fried."
You snorted. "I’m shocked you lasted this long."
Sevika smirked, leaning back into the booth. "You underestimate me."
You raised an eyebrow. "Do I?"
The woman chuckled but didn’t answer. Instead, she tilted her head slightly. "What are you up to now?"
You finished the last of your matcha. "Dance studio."
Sevika nodded. "Solo practice?"
"Yeah," you said, slipping your laptop into your tote bag. "I need to get in a few extra hours before I try out for the dance team next week."
Sevika hummed, considering. "Maybe I’ll stop by sometime. See if you’re actually good or if the school’s just desperate for dancers."
You gasped, scandalized. "I’ll have you know, I’m very good."
She smirked, amused by her indignation. "I guess I’ll just have to see for myself."
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t help the small smile tugging at your lips.
———————————————————————
The dance studio was quiet, the kind of quiet that made you feel like you could breathe again.
You stood in front of the mirror, hands resting on your hips, your water bottle set on the floor nearby. The room smelled faintly of wood and sweat, of polished floors and effort. It was your second home, the place where you could let everything else fall away.
But today, your mind would not shut up.
You had spent the entire study session fighting off the most inconvenient thoughts about Sevika, and now, as you stretched, those thoughts slipped through the cracks again.
Sevika, lying in bed with damp hair. Sevika, watching you tie up your hair with that unreadable look in her eyes. Sevika, calling you princess in that low, teasing voice.
You groaned, pressing your palms against your face. "Get it together."
You turned on the music, hoping it would drown out everything else going on in your mind.
———————————————————————
You lounged on your bed, a box of Raising Cane’s resting on your lap as you dipped a crinkle fry into a little tub of Cane’s sauce. Jinx and Mel were sprawled out across your comforter, all three of you decked out in fluffy pajamas and matching face masks—Jinx’s was neon pink, Mel’s a smooth clay green, and yours a soft lavender shade.
"I swear to God, this is peak self-care," Jinx said through a mouthful of chicken tenders, licking sauce off her fingers.
"I’m telling you," Mel chimed in, stretching her legs out, "nothing beats a greasy fast food binge and skincare. Even though those things are not related, like, at all."
You hummed in agreement, taking a sip of your iced tea. It had been a long day, and a girls’ night was exactly what you needed—something normal, safe, and completely unrelated to…
You shoved the thought away before it could form.
Jinx, ever the instigator, tossed a napkin at your face. "So, Y/N," she said, wiggling her eyebrows. "Speaking of things that nothing beats, and no one beats this certain persons hotness-"
You groaned. "Nope. Not doing this."
Mel giggled, adjusting her headband. "Come on! You’ve been weird all day."
"I have not."
Jinx rolled onto her stomach, kicking her feet. "Babe. You so have.
You made the very unfortunate mistake of hesitating. It was a fraction of a second, but it was enough for both of them to pounce.
"Oh my God," Jinx gasped, sitting up. "You’re hiding something."
Mel gasped. "Did something happen?!"
"No!" You squeaked, your face already heating up and betraying you and your lies.
Jinx grinned. "Y/N."
"No."
"Y/N."
"I hate you."
Mel grabbed your shoulders. "Spill."
You groaned, tossing your head back against your pillows. "It was just a stupid dream, okay?! That’s all."
Mel and Jinx screamed.
"Oh, this is wild," Jinx said, bouncing excitedly. "What kind of dream? Did you have a sex dream?"
"I hate you both."
"Was it about—" Mel gasped dramatically. "Sevika?"
You shoved a pillow over your face. "Oh my God."
Jinx practically vibrated with excitement. "You had a sex dream about Sevika?" She squealed.
You groaned into the pillow. "Please kill me."
Mel giggled, grabbing your arm. "Tell us everything."
"I will not."
Jinx nudged you. "Y/N. You have to."
You peeked out from behind the pillow, your face turning a violent shade of red. "It was just—" You cleared your throat. "It was…her. And me. And she was…um."
Jinx and Mel leaned in, eager to hear more.
"She was, uh…" You swallowed. "Very…close."
They screamed.
Mel fanned herself. "Oh my God."
Jinx grabbed your wrist, shaking it. "Are you kidding?! That’s so hot."
"It was not," You insisted. "It was humiliating."
Mel waggled her eyebrows. "Or…was it revealing?"
You threw a fry at her. She scowled at you and ate it.
Jinx grinned. "Okay, okay, but like…objectively speaking, Sevika is hot. Even though she like, has this stupid rivalry thing with Vi."
You groaned. "Don’t."
Mel wiggled her fingers. "Doooon’t deny it."
You buried your face in your hands. "I hate this conversation."
Before they could tease you more, the dorm door swung open.
And in walked Sevika.
She was sweaty, her skin glowing from the gym, dressed in loose gray sweatpants and a very tight compression shirt that clung to every inch of muscle. She had her duffel bag slung over her shoulder, her hair damp from sweat, and she looked unfairly attractive.
You felt your soul leave your body.
Sevika glanced at you and your friends, amused. "Should I be concerned about the screaming?"
Mel, being the worst, smirked. "Oh, don’t worry, it’s nothing important."
Jinx giggled. "Nothing you’d be interested in."
You suddenly had the urge to die.
Sevika raised an eyebrow but shrugged it off, tossing her bag onto her bed. She stretched her arms behind her head, the motion making her shirt ride up just enough to show a flash of her abs.
You were not looking.
(Okay, you were absolutely looking.)
Sevika smirked, tilting her head. "What? You three gossiping about me?"
Jinx beamed. "Why? Would you want us to?"
Sevika let out a low chuckle, and oh no.
Her gaze flicked to you, slow and assessing. "Depends."
Your brain shut down. Sevika was flirting with you, which Jinx and Mel caught onto immediately.
"Oh my God," Mel whispered dramatically.
You could feel your face heating up once again. It’s like you had a permanent blush. You were still thinking about The Dream, and now Sevika was standing there, looking annoyingly attractive, all muscle and sweat and teasing smirks. You cleared your throat, gripping your drink a little too hard. "We were just…talking."
Sevika’s smirk widened. "Just talking?"
Jinx grinned. "Wouldn’t you like to know?"
Sevika chuckled, grabbing a water bottle from her desk. "You’re all so weird."
Mel hummed. "And you’re so sweaty."
Sevika took a swig of water. "Thanks, princess."
You nearly choked on air.
Jinx and Mel had never looked so satisfied with themselves.
Sevika glanced at you, something amused in her gaze. Then, without another word, she grabbed her towel and headed toward the bathroom.
The second the door shut, all hell broke loose.
Jinx grabbed your shoulders, shaking you. "She so wants you."
Mel screamed into a pillow, overcome with giggles. "Did you see that?"
You buried your face in your hands. "I hate my life."
Jinx cackled. "Oh, babe. This is just the beginning."
The moment you all heard the shower turn on in the jack-and-Jill bathroom, your friends pounced.
You had barely taken a breath before Jinx grabbed you by the shoulders for a second time, eyes wild with mischeif. "Okay, listen up. We are going to make Sevika fall in love with you."
Your eyes widened in terror. "Excuse me?!"
Mel clapped her hands together, grinning. "No more playgirl Sevika. No more random girls in your dorm. No more flirting with you and pretending it means nothing. Nope. We are making her obsessed with you."
Your mouth gaped open. "You guys are insane, and so is this plan."
Jinx ignored you. "Step one: We use science. Psychological warfare, if you will."
You groaned. "Oh my God."
"Shut up, you love us."
"Not right now, I don’t."
Mel giggled. "Okay, okay, so here’s the plan."
Jinx leaned in, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "First, we use colors."
You blinked. "…Colors?" This is about the craziest thing you’ve ever heard.
Mel nodded sagely. "Sevika definitely has a favorite color, and also a favorite color that you wear sometimes. You need to wear it all the time."
Jinx grinned. "We already know she loves when you wear navy blue. You should also test out black and red. Vi says that Sevika likes those colors
You covered your face. "You guys are the worst."
Jinx poked your side. "Next: you have to start wearing things that’ll make her suffer."
"What?!"
"You know," Mel smirked, "tank tops, little shorts, crop tops. Walk around the dorm in tiny pajama sets. Maybe a towel every now and then."
You gasped, scandalized. "Mel!"
"What?" She sipped her iced tea innocently. "Just saying, if Sevika is already flirting with you when you’re not trying, imagine what happens when you do."
You groaned, dropping your head onto Jinx’s shoulder. "I hate this conversation."
Jinx patted your back. "No, babe, you love it."
Mel nudged you. "Next step: flirt with other people."
You shot up. "What?" You exclaimed again.
"Jealousy," Mel explained. "She needs to see other people wanting you. It’ll make her crazy."
You hesitated. "That feels kind of…mean."
Mel shrugged. "You don’t actually have to do anything. Just be you. We both saw her at the party. She noticed when you danced with Jinx’s sister. She noticed every guy who flirted with you. She notices everything about you, Y/N. You just need to turn up the heat."
Jinx grinned. "Oh, and you have to start going to her rugby games."
You tilted her head. "But I already support her—"
"Not like that," Jinx interrupted. "You need to show up in something cute, act like her biggest fan, and make sure she knows it."
Mel nodded. "And you have to make sure she sees you caring about her. Ask about her games, check in when she’s tired, bring her coffee when she has a rough practice. Girls like her act all tough, but deep down? They melt when someone actually gives a shit."
Jinx snapped her fingers. "Oh! And you have to invite her to your dance performance."
Mel gasped. "Yes! Can you imagine? Watching you on stage? Looking perfect and stunning and untouchable?"
You bit your lip. "I mean…that would be kind of nice."
Mel grinned. "Oh, babe. It would ruin her."
You exhaled, shaking your head. "You two are pure evil."
"Thank you," Mel said sweetly.
Jinx sat back, stretching. "Okay, that’s the plan. If you follow all of this, Sevika will be wrapped around your finger by Christmas."
You chewed your bottom lip, mind spinning. Could this actually work? Did you even want it to work? Sevika was…Sevika. Complicated. Dangerous. Gorgeous. Annoying.
But also—warm. And funny. And thoughtful, when she wasn’t being a menace.
And lately, you had been thinking about her way more than you should.
You exhaled. "I hate you guys."
Jinx smirked. "No, babe. You love us."
Meanwhile…
Sevika stood just outside the bathroom door, towel slung over her shoulder, hair still damp. She had stepped out of the shower a few minutes ago, so she had heard Mel and Jinx planning
And she had heard everything.
She smirked to herself, leaning against the wall.
So.
You were about to start playing games?
Cute.
Sevika had been holding herself back for weeks. She wasn’t stupid—she knew there was something between them, something electric and alive whenever they were in the same room. She had flirted, teased, pushed just enough to get a reaction. But now?
Now you were going to start testing her limits?
Oh, sweetheart. You have no idea what you just started.
Sevika ran a hand through her hair, her smirk deepening.
If you wanted to make her fall?
Then it was only fair that Sevika did the same.
Game on.

The First Meeting
I've rejected affection for years and years. Now I have it, and damn it, It's kind of weird...
"Girl it's hot as fuck but lemme not do too much because at least I'm not at school." You say while doing your homework in the Ferrari garage.
"I just survived another long day of school without you, please find it in your heart to come home soon." Imani cried out.
"You say this now but when I show up you're cozy in your bed and I'm stuck in the classroom alone." You reply rolling your eyes playfully.
"I swear you choose the worst days to come like..." Imani says playfully annoyed.
"Is this a sign for me to never show up again?" You say laughing.
"Now you and I both know damn well lew and your dad would never let that happen." Imani says laughing along with her.
"They really irk me sometimes." I say sighing before Lewis enters the garage.
"So you're doing homework but your phone is in your hand and you're on a call with Imani?" Lewis says aloud.
"Oh girl, why did he lowkey clock you..." Imani says still on the line.
"You're an opp, bye." You say hanging up the phone before turning to Lewis.
"Ok.. Hear me out.." You say as you begin to think up an explanation for not actually working.
Lewis just stares at you with his arms crossed.
"Ok fine, I don't have an excuse but look sometimes a girl just needs to chit chat with her best friend! Please don't tell dad..." You say dramatically.
"Alright." Lewis replies.
"Wait really? You're the best brother in the..."
"If you confess to breaking dads antique and clear my name." Lewis says, finishing his sentence.
"I take it all back, you are sick and twisted." You say before groaning and throwing yourself down in a seat.
"Well, do you have anything you want to share with the class y/n?" Lewis says raising an eyebrow.
"Nothing, I'm innocent." You say rolling your eyes and packing up your things to go find somewhere else to work in peace.
Luckily for you Lewis's race engineer distracted him momentarily and you took that as a good sign to leave.
On your way over to hospitality you bumped into someone. Leaving some of the papers you had to fall out of your hands.
"My bad, I was rushing and..." The guy trails off as you look up at him.
"Oh, it's fine. It's just math homework. I wouldn't even be mad if a car drove over it a million times." I say smiling.
“I get what you mean! Lately to take the workload off of just me I’ve been having the team help with math since they basically live, breathe, eat, and sleep mathematics.” Kimi says, giggling throughout his speaking as he watches the expression on your face.
“You know what… That’s a pretty solid idea.” You say as you’re now fully cracking up. Kimi just stares for a moment as if taking everything in.
"You're really pretty... sorry if that's weird to say!" Kimi says his voice going up an octave and cracking when he panicked. You just laugh softly.
"Nah you're good, thank you. You're also very pretty..." You say now getting a bit flustered.
"Umm Kimi Antonelli... like that's my name." He says nervously while smiling.
"Y/n Hamilton, nice to meet you Kimi." You say smiling as you go to pick up your papers from the ground and he instantly bends down to help you.
He tells me I'm pretty. Don't know how to respond. I tell him that he's pretty too! Can I say that? Don't have a clue

Pre-race Shenanigans
What if he's the last one I kiss? What if he's the only one I'll ever miss? Maybe I should run, I'm only 18. I don't even know who I want to become.
You wanted to check on Kimi before the race so you abandoned Lewis in the Ferrari garage and went over to merc to try and find him. You had texted him and he seemed a bit stressed. Upon opening the door you saw him pacing back and forth.
"Kimi." You said uttering his name just loud enough to bring him out of whatever trance he was in. You closed the door behind you and smiled softly as he looked up at you.
"What's up? Talk to me?" You said walking towards him.
"I don't know. I'm not really nervous or anything, it's like my mind is creating problems that aren't even probable." Kimi says before letting out a heavy sigh.
"Ok deep breaths Kimi." You say as you guys go over the typical destressing exercises. You watch as Kimi calms down and then smile when he looks at you again.
"Thanks." He says softly looking directly into your eyes.
"Yeah, it's whatever. Good luck and break a leg and whatever else they say." You say breaking eye contact and moving to exit the room.
"You know what would prepare me for this race even more?" He says as your walking to the door.
"What?" You say raising an eyebrow as you angle your body to look at him.
"If you were my valentine." He says almost breathlessly, as though he's surprised he actually said those words.
"Impress me and maybe I'll consider it." You say smiling before you exit the room leaving Kimi standing there shocked in the middle of it.
The second you leave the room and the door closes you let out a deep breathe and mentally squeal while skipping back to the merc garage as your mind keeps circling back to the moment.
I've lost all control of my heartbeat now. Got caught in a romance with him somehow.

You didn’t think you would ever get a consolation let alone an appointment with redlightdesign. For over three years you have been submitting a request anytime their books were open. You set timers for when the form dropped to make sure you were one of the first to be seen but everyone was doing the exact same thing.
redlightdesign would make an announcement that the submissions were closed an hour later saying they were booked solid for the next three months. The process repeats itself and every time you pray you get a response.
Thirteen forms later and you finally got an answer. Your dream tattoo will be underway in a matter of weeks. You made sure to keep the perfect space open for the piece. Not a single artist is the right fit to do your idea justice the way Redlightdesign could.
Before you read the email you didn’t even think you would ever be picked, your thigh would just always be bare for the possibility that never would come to fruition. But sitting in a coffee shop on a Sunday morning avoiding finishing your homework for Monday's class you jump on the opportunity to check your phone when it dings. Post notifications for redlightdesign on since you started following them. Every time they announced open books or a dropped appointment you jumped to put yourself up for the running. You remember the magazine article Redlightdsign had been featured in that started your obsession. The anonymous tattoo artist is based in Seattle and New York, traveling across the states to get a wider audience. Not that they needed the help, they were globally known, with people submitting forms all around the world, purchasing plane tickets after they confirmed an appointment.
It was stiff competition and the anonymity of the artist was sacred to each client. There was barely any information about Redlightdesign on the internet besides the finished product, and the address to their studios was only given out just before your appointment. Once the details of the New York studio had been doxxed online and redlightdesign had stopped working for a year, packing up and shutting down in well deserved retaliation. When they came back to their socials they made it clear the next time they wouldn't stop for a year but quit entirely. No one shared any information after, only stating that Redlightdesign was one of the nicest people they have ever been tattooed by and a photo of the beautiful work after.
But there sipping on an almost empty drink avoiding work that needed to be done you felt your pulse race just like every other time you've submitted a form. Only this time your stomach bottomed out seeing the email that popped up in your inbox a few minutes later.
h.rldesign/gmail.com Hi, I love your idea and sketches. I think this would transfer perfectly in my style. If we are to do the piece on the thigh at the size you want I think it's best we split the work into two appointments. My open slots for this would be January 9th and 10th. Let me know if these dates work for you and then I can get started on designing and cleaning up your idea. -redlightdesign
even just knowing their email address was shocking enough, seeing a response could have sent you into a coma. If Redlightdesign needed you on the 9th and 10th you would do everything in your power to be right at their door. You didn't care if you had to call in sick, you would put on the most convincing fake cough known to man; you would sell out stadiums with the performance if need be.
You couldn't type a response fast enough, needing to send in a confirmation just to know it was solidified. Within seconds you got a link for a deposit to hold the dates and a promise that Redlightdesign would be working on your piece asap. You were too excited to even think about your work anymore, sitting in the coffee shop staring down at your phone in disbelief.
It was only a few days later when the first drafts of the tattoo you would be getting were sent over for you to approve. You could tell the work had been drawn in a sketchbook and scanned to send in an email, the charcoal lines and highlights showing the detailed work. It was everything you could have hoped for, redlightdesign taking the amateur rendering of your idea and turning it into the masterpiece sitting in your inbox. They promised to have perfected versions ready when you arrived early on the ninth, reminding you that they would transfer it into the stencil and use a pen to finish drawing the finishing touches to make sure it flowed with your body just right. Make sure to eat before the appointment and don't wear any lotions on the tattoo area. Take care to remember we can take as many breaks as you want you have the day booked up with me so no need to rush through just to get it over with.
You made sure to dress appropriately. A pair of shorts you didn’t mind getting ink on in case any decided to ruin them. It was cold the morning of the ninth, a drizzle setting in as you made your way towards the address you had been sent before you had woken up. Even just seeing the street name and knowing this whole time you’ve been a fifteen-minute walk away from Redlights studio was bizarre. How many times have you driven by the building without ever knowing?
The email with the address had said the door would be open and to take the stairs up to the loft. The separate space on the ground level was a bakery, the sign flipped to closed. But as you felt the first droplets of rain you pulled on the handle for the door only for it to not budge. You check the address again to make sure it is right, you can see the windows to the studio above but the curtains are pulled shut. You were running over the email you could send to redlightdesign, reading it over once more when someone reached past you making you jump. “holy shit you almost gave me a heart attack,” you breathe your phone pressed to your chest.
The soft laugh of the person beside you is muffled behind the black medical mask they wear, long dark hair hanging on their brow leaving only smiling eyes glancing over you. “I'm sorry I was running late and didn't make it in time to beat you here,” they push their key into the lock twisting until it clicks, painted nails wrapping around the handle to hold the door open for you.
You give a weak thanks stepping into the little hallway leading to the stairs waiting for them to step in and follow.
You're trying hard not to make it seem like you're staring at them but it's almost impossible not to. Right in front of you is the person whose identity has been hidden from the public for years. You've tried to imagine what redlightdesign looked like since you read that magazine article. Now with the early morning mist still stuck to their hair you were seconds away from knowing exactly what they were like. Watching how their long fingers flipped over the keys looking for the one to unlock the loft door, how they used their shoulder to push open the door turning back to give you smiling eyes, waving you in.
They moved around to pull open the long cream-colored curtains, the gray light pouring in revealing the space. The walls have tacked up charcoal drawings, painted landscapes, and oil pastel flowers. A worn brown leather couch pushed to one side, heavy white blanket pushed back like someone had taken a nap there against the throw pillows. Tattoo bed next to rows of inks and past designs. On another wall a cluster of polaroids, stepping closer you can see its every tattoo that redlightdesign has done here. You're excited to see ones they haven't posted on their socials, so distracted you don't hear a closet door opening and the wheeling of a cart behind you. “I wanted to be set up so we could get started right away but,” when you turn you see them shrug. The view outside of the waterfront off in the distance matches some of the paintings done during different times of the day.
“It's okay I can wait, we're booked all day right?”
“yes that's right,” they go through their bag pulling out a large sketchbook, “here take a seat and we can go over some of these together,”
they sink into the couch pushing back the blanket to make room for you to follow. Your thighs touching before they hand over the sketchbook. You're amazed by the craftsmanship, and the detail put into each variety of the tattoo idea you have given them. No other artist has given you so many possibilities, maybe one of two but a whole spread dedicated to small details was never on the table. redlightdesign had taken time working through this with passion. “Wow,” you breathe not knowing where to look first.
“do you like it? It's a big thing, a tattoo of this size, and I wanted to make sure it really had all the elements you wanted in it while also not being too chaotic and messy. You see this one has less shading and seems more open but this one is heavy-handed if you're into that kinda style. I see you have other work done on your arms and if you want to go that way style-wise I think this one would be perfect,” they point at the one you've been focused on knowing that it was exactly what you wanted.
“It's amazing, they all are, I'm so impressed redli-“
“Hyunjin, you can call me Hyunjin,” they chuckle, “I should have introduced myself earlier but I was late and it slipped my mind I'm sorry,”
“no, it's okay thank you hyunjin,” you try the name in your mouth, “I think this is exactly what I want, better than what I could have imagined,”
“great I'm happy to impress let me get this printed in a stencil and we can add anything else after we find the right placement,” you watch as they stand moving to the corner with a desk, you can't see their face but know they've taken their mask off as they turn on the printer. “Do you live around here or was it a commute?”
“oh I live right up the street, I was surprised to see how close it was to my place actually,” you say over the sound of the scanner.
“that's good, sometimes I have people coming from all over it's fun to finally have a local visit,”
“I would have come out to New York if that's where you would have been,” you admit.
“I haven't been out there in a while, they are doing construction on the street the studio is on so I've been located here for a while now,” he states pulling out the stencil sheet. “I did a few different sizes to start with,”
he turns around and you're shocked at how beautiful Hyunjin is. In all the time you've thought about redlightdesign never did it cross your mind to account for prettiness but if you did your scale would be broken. You're still seated when he comes over and kneels in front of you.
“Can I?” he asks looking up at you, your hands in your lap covering your thighs.
“oh yeah sure,” you're flustered lifting your hands away.
“left or right?” he asks, holding two of the stencils over each leg.
“right,” your hands sinking into the couch as Hyunjin wipes his thumb over your bare thigh. He shows you the three different sizes and you decide on one before he asks you to stand in front of the mirror so he can place the stencil on.
“Here,” he mutters, being gentle to get the placement right in the first go. “We can always print more if you don't like it here,” he blows cool air over the purple lines traced on to make sure it's dry enough for you to move. He slides his hand behind the pit of your knee tugging your leg. You reach out to steady yourself with his shoulders, the backs of your hands feeling the tickle of his long hair hanging past his ears. He lifts your leg enough so that your foot is resting on his thigh, his hands slipping over your skin checking it looks good.
You love the way he's found the perfect spot on your thigh so that it flows with your body, “I think you got it first try,”
“Look in the mirror first just to make sure,” he lets you go, pulling himself to stand behind you so that you can see yourself.
“yes it's perfect,” and he nods, grabbing a purple pen.
“finishing touches then,” he gets back down in front of you lifting your foot back to his knee so that he can steady you. The marker is cold on your skin as he draws, adding lines and shading in spots to make the work blend better. When he blows on the wet lines of ink you shiver especially when he draws on your inner thigh, your skin so sensitive you swear you could imagine his fingers tracing shapes instead of the pen. “Perfect,” he states, giving your knee a tap letting you know he's done. “Let me set up and if you need the bathroom before we start I'd go now. I have water and a kettle for coffee over under the desk, and we can stop for lunch around let's say twelve or one-ish?”
You nod, taking your seat on the tattoo bed. He's set it up so that you're slightly leaned back but still sitting up. You watch him pull on black gloves and get all of the inks and needles ready, following a system you've seen done before. He clicks on a stereo the soft song playing in the background just loud enough for us to talk if we wanted to or just to listen. you adjust in your seat when you hear the sound of the tattoo gun whirring, hyunjins free hand stretching your skin in preparation, “The hard part will be around the knee so let's get that area out of the way,”
you nod watching as he starts, the familiar burn of the needle digging in but not too painfully. He was right that it was worse than some of your other tattoos but not unbearable. What distracts you is how concentrated he looks leaning over your leg, hair pushed back behind his ears but one strand hangs across his forehead, the corner of his lip between his teeth.
He starts to ask you small questions about yourself, the conversation leading to learning about him and how he got into tattooing. He talks about his art and the little things he likes. Both of you are so invested in one another that you don't even notice how far you've come in the day, lunch already rolling around before you know it. He's gotten through more than half the outline when he starts the loose wrap to keep it clean while you go out for lunch. The bakery is just downstairs offering lunch deals you can't refuse and when you get back upstairs both of you sit on the couch and continue your conversation. Giggling over nothing much but being comfortable in each other's company more than what you could have asked for.
redlightdesign could have been a total dick but you were blessed enough to get someone so genuinely kind and talented. And when you got back in the chair to finish the day's session you were sad to know that tomorrow would be the last time you saw Hyunjin unless you somehow got another appointment. The idea in it of itself was making you dread leaving.
“Could you tie my hair up?” he asks lifting his wrist up to you, a hair band waiting for you to take off. You lean over taking the tie from him and running your fingers through the dark strands. He hums as you brush the hair from his face gathering it all to tie into a ponytail. “thank you,” he nods letting the end bob up and down, a sweet smile teasing his lips before he goes back to the linework.
When he finally declares you done for the day you sigh, his thumb smoothing over the ends of the tape he's put to hold the wrap he put over your thigh. His finger slips across your inner thigh making you jolt harder than when the needle was to your skin. “sensitive?” he asks and you nod, not wanting to think too much into it. You were definitely sensitive but not from the pain, watching his long fingers work over your skin didn't put the cleanest image in your head.
He starts to break down his workstation, cleaning up and wiping everything to disinfect. While you put on your coat he asks, “Do you want to get dinner?” you turn to make sure he is not on the phone but he is in fact asking you, “I know this great spot a block over it's not that far a walk if you're up for it?”
“Sure,” you nod and he rubs the back of his neck.
“You know if you're not busy or anything I don't usually ask clients out for dinner but we were having a good chat and you know if you don't want to,” he drags on his ears pink, it was cute to watch him flustered.
“I'd love to go to dinner with you hyunjin,” you smile following him out.
You share an umbrella as you make your way to the small cafe-style restaurant, outdoor seating covered with a canopy so you won't get hit by any rain. Sitting across from one another, Hyunjin asks to see your other tattoos. You lay one arm down on the table, hyunjins fingertips ghosting over your skin as he traces the lines of all your other work. “I think I've seen this one before, did you get it from Felix? Or what's his username…”
“youg.ink?” you nod, “I actually got it because I saw you mentioned them before and it introduced me to their work. instantly fell in love with this when he offered it up,”
hyunjins not even paying attention to the tattoos anymore as he lets his fingers glide over your smooth skin. Most times after a client was done for the day in his chair he walked them to the door, waved goodbye, and worked in the studio on the next person's design. Most times he had people who he didn't mind not seeing again but you and your laugh, your gentle conversation, made him want to break his own rules for once. He walks you home after dinner and promises to see you tomorrow at the same time.
When you show up for your second session you're double fisting two iced coffees; the door is already unlocked as you make your way up the stairs. Hyunjin is sitting at the desk with headphones on sketching away before he sees the movement in the corner of his eye. He gives you a big smile, all teeth and is so cute. He tugs his headphones off letting them hang around his neck, “you got me a coffee?”
“Maybe or maybe I have a caffeine addiction,” you joke, handing over his cup. You look over to see what he's working on and he leans back to give you a better view.
“The next client wants their back done, it will be spaced out over the next four months. first sessions tomorrow,”
“I wouldn't even know where to start on something that big,”
“the same way I started yours,” he looks down at your legs, the wrap still in place only today you're wearing a skirt instead of shorts. The only other clothing item you felt would give him space to work today. Hyunjin looks back to his sketchbook, shutting it and standing. “let's get you up on the chair and get started,”
you follow his instructions, sinking back into the chair and letting your skirt bunch between your legs to expose your thigh. Hyunjin starts to set up his station, pulling on his gloves after flipping to the sketch of your design to have to glance at while he works. “might hurt today with all the shading if you need any breaks let me know we can go as slow as you need,” he peels away the tape before cleaning your leg with a towel and watered down soap. “It already looks good,” he nods, pressing around the tattoo.
“I think I can handle it,”
“Okay, we can work the bottom to the top again today, get the area closest to the knee and get the most painful bit first,”
and you think you can handle it and you can for the most part but the dragging of the needle over the still red outline from yesterday is painful today. Your hand bunching in your skirt as you remind yourself to breathe. You let your head roll back in the chair not able to watch anymore, focusing on the music playing, the dull hum of the tattoo gun usually comforting you but now a reminder that you're here for a while.
hyunjin is trying to concentrate, he's great at what he does, but what's testing him is how you're flashing your panties at him. he was going to say something, bring up a conversation about anything but when he looked up, a simple glance he was face to face with the dark grey fabric, the outline of you silencing him. You didn't even notice, your neck exposed as your free hand not holding your skirt gripped the armrest.
Tattooing people made nudity and almost nudity normal. It was why Hyunjin preferred his private studio so that he could make people feel comfortable, it was better than having someone who wanted a hip tattoo strip in a shop where anyone could watch. But with you sitting in front of him he forgot that he shouldn't look so close. Because instead of ignoring the view he was imagining ways that he could make your pain more bearable. Imagining how if he reached over and brushed where he knew your clit would be waiting you wouldn't be moaning in pain.
It's not until lunch that your skirt is let go but it's done the work of keeping Hyunjin hard for the entirety of the progress he's made toward the tattoo. When he sprays the tattoo down with the soapy water beads roll back up your leg because of the way the chairs are angled. The cold water feels great against your hot skin and Hyunjin apologizes for the mess passing you a paper towel to wipe any that got too far. You slightly lift your leg to wipe your inner thighs, the movement flashing Hyunjin again only this time the droplets of water had dampened your panties. The gray fabric was dark where he had been fantasizing they would be.
He doesn't even want to think about standing from his stool knowing that the second he does he will have to adjust himself only drawing attention to the fact he is very hard. He tries to make a list of things in his head as he wraps your thigh. To think about how it's almost over, that you will be gone in the next hour or two but that only makes it worse. You would be gone when he was this needy? He wanted to make an excuse to have you come back for another session. But it was quite obvious he would be dragging out the appointment when he only needed to do a small section when the two of you were done with lunch. He could have waited and finished, pushed your lunch back, and waved goodbye but no.
He swiveled his chair away from you, taking a sip from his almost empty cup of coffee as you slid down the bed to stand. Hyunjin takes a breath and prays you don't notice but it's the first thing you see when he turns, the strained outline not very well hidden. You pretend to look out the window, feeling your cheeks get hot. All you can think about is if it was your noises that did it, all the whimpering wasn't usually how you handled tattoos but this one was the biggest piece you've gotten, and didn't know two sessions would make your usually composed self break so easily. it would explain the silence compared to yesterday. So you toy with the idea, how far would he go if you made yourself available?
You grabbed lunch together, hyunjin putting a pillow over his lap to steady his plate of food but both of you knew that wasn't the real reason. And when you were back in the chair you intentionally let your skirt roll up this time. It doesn't help that he's now working on the part of the tattoo closest to your center, how he wraps his hand around your thigh, pushing your legs further apart to reach a spot on your inner thigh. Gloved fingers brushing over your panties for the smallest second, your hips sinking into the seat to keep yourself from moving. Hyunjin noticed but needed to get through the rest of the tattoo, if he stopped now he wouldn't know when he would start again. Your lip between your teeth he watched as you tried to close your legs again to block your exposed panties, now wet with your slick and nothing else. He could see the spot and almost ripped his gloves off as soon as he finished his work. But now he was teasing you. Cleaning the tattoo down and wiping it down. He doesn't even bother with the normal photos he would take right away instead putting on the second skin to protect the tattoo. As he smooths the thin film over your inner thigh he lets his fingers slip up brushing against your center to see your reaction.
Your head rolls to your shoulder watching him through your lashes as he takes off his gloves and tosses them on the cart. He lifts the armrest on the tattoo chair before reaching behind your knees to pull you to the edge of the seat so your legs are dangling off the side. “how is it someone can make the prettiest sounds and sit so still for me?” he leans down and plants a kiss on your tattooless thigh, “because all I could think about was how I wanted to see your legs shaking for me while you whined like that,”
you tried to draw your knees together but he was in the way, kissing up your inner thigh, nipping at your skin with his teeth. When he reached your skirt he flipped it up with a lazy hand giving you no time before his thumb was over your clit rubbing a harsh circle over the fabric. You felt the shock run up to your stomach, your voice breathy as you whimpered his name. He followed the wet line down the front of your panties before hooking his finger along the seam to pull them back. He wanted one taste, needed one taste but knew he wouldn't stop at just one, not when you looked this edible and ready for him.
He ravages your clit, your hands shooting to his head burying your fingers in his hair as he sucks. He's careful of your tattoo but your other thigh is fair game for him to wrap his arm around and push you open, fingers bruising with how he spreads you. His free hand prodded your entrance, circling in your wetness before slipping in knuckle deep. “Hyunjin,” you whine, your hips rocking against his lips, feeling the build up of your orgasm. He curls his fingers pressing up into you enough to make your legs jerk from the new angle.
You're seeing spot before too long, hips stuttering as he gives a final hard suck, fingers still as you clench around them. You're moaning so loud you're sure someone will hear but you don't even care. Hyunjin doesn't stop the flick of his tongue against your clit making you cry out, “I said I wanted to see them shake,” devilish smile covered in your slick before he latches on to your clit again. Fingers pumping in and out of you before he presses deeper into you. You can feel tears at the corners of your eyes, and when he pulls away slightly to let his teeth brush your clit you're done for, legs trembling as you cum. He is persistent and you have to tug his head away, a slight smile stuck on his wet lips as he watches your body shake from the overstimulation. “once more?”
“I can't- I can't do it,” you shake your head but he drags his fingers out slowly before inching them back in, your hips jumping.
“I know you can, you've been doing so good for me already, one more time won't hurt,” he hums, dipping his nose down to brush over your nub. Jolting at the feeling he turns his head to kiss your inner thigh, slowly building up speed with his fingers, “can't you do just one more?” it's the way he asks so softly, the heavy gaze under heavier eyelids that makes you nod.
You're so sensitive that one lick has you shaking, your orgasm feeling so far and yet so close all at once. His tongue laps through your folds circling your clit. Hyunjin is obsessed with the taste of you, completely under the spell of your pussy and how it responds to his touch. He could go all night eating you out, watching as you fell apart again and again before him. Your cries are getting louder and before you know it your back is arching into him almost coming off the seat, your orgasm so intense you don't expect the clear fluid to squirt out of you until it has.
You're breathing so labored you place a hand over your chest to try and calm yourself. hyunjins pleased grin is the only thing you see before he pulls his fingers out of you and sticks them in his mouth to clean them. Every once in a while your legs jerk from an aftershock, the delight in his eyes worth how tired you feel. Your thighs are sticking to the leather seat under you as Hyunjin pulls your underwear back into place leaning down to leave a ghost of a kiss over your clothed clit. next time I want you to cry this pretty for my cock okay?”

alexia and teacher reader where reader helps teach english to kids in school and she gives alexia english homework to help her with her interviews. but alexia doesn’t do her hw or lessons and gets no hugs or kisses until she does it
-
“Have you done your homework?” you ask, arms crossed, one brow lifted like you do with the Year 5s when they’re clearly hiding a stolen gel pen in their pencil case.
Alexia does not look up from the fridge. “No.”
You stare. “No?”
“No.”
You wait.
She turns around, yoghurt in hand, the picture of casual rebellion. “I had training. And a shoot. And then I was tired.”
You fold your arms tighter. “You promised you’d do at least two exercises from the grammar sheet. Just two, Alexia.”
“I know.” She spoons yoghurt into her mouth like it’s a defence strategy. “But it’s hard. You give me the boring ones.”
“They’re beginner-level past tense.”
“They’re stressful.”
You blink at her.
She blinks back.
Then you say it, calm and deadly: “No kisses until you finish them.”
Alexia freezes mid-chew. “Sorry?”
“No kisses,” you repeat, turning back to the living room with a casual shrug. “Or hugs. Or touching of any kind, actually.”
“You’re joking.”
“I’m not.”
She follows you, scandalised. “That’s emotional blackmail.”
“No,” you say, dropping onto the sofa with a very teacher-like air of finality. “It’s consequences.”
She stares at you like you’ve announced the death of fun. “You’re so British sometimes.”
“And you,” you say sweetly, “are a grown woman who refuses to do three lines of English homework.”
She stands there for a solid ten seconds, arms hanging uselessly at her sides. “Can I bribe you?”
“You can bribe yourself with kisses. After you conjugate ten verbs.”
A long pause.
Then, dramatically, like it’s cost her a limb: “Fine.”
-
Fifteen minutes later, she stomps into the living room with the worksheet in hand.
You take it like a strict examiner. “Let’s see.”
Her handwriting is suspiciously neat. You scan the page. There’s one correction you make, gently, with a red pen—purely for dramatic effect.
She watches you like a dog waiting for a treat.
You hand it back. “Better.”
“So…?”
You smile. “Five kisses. One for every correct answer.”
She practically leaps onto the sofa, straddling your lap and grinning like a lunatic. “You’re such a menace, you know that?”
“And yet,” you murmur, pressing a kiss to the corner of her mouth, “you did the work.”
She kisses you back, all smug and warm and beautiful. “Maybe you should give me detention next.”
You raise an eyebrow. “Don’t tempt me.”
“Oh, I’m tempting you,” she grins, trailing kisses down your neck now. “Next time I forget my homework, you can punish me properly.”
You roll your eyes—but you’re laughing. And kissing her back. And already thinking up her next worksheet.
With added difficulty.
And a reward system.

Can you please write Y/N is a oldest daughter and Jun always by her side and help her with everything she need even when she never ask
OPEN ARMS
Tumblr media
(Wen Junhui x FemReader)
*Soft angst, comfort, slow romance*
Tumblr media
Being the eldest daughter meant a lot of things.
It meant folding clothes while your younger siblings watched cartoons. It meant wiping away your own tears so your mother didn’t have to worry. It meant walking on tiptoe around your father's moods, biting your tongue when you wanted to scream, and carrying burdens in silence because well, someone had to.
It meant growing up too fast.
You never had to be told twice that your role was to hold everything together.
And most days, you did it without thinking juggling school, work, home, helping your siblings with homework, taking care of your parents when they were tired, cooking dinner, managing bills. You did it all, smiled through it, even when your knees buckled under the weight.
But what no one ever seemed to notice… was how tired you really were.
Except for him.
Wen Junhui.
He wasn’t your boyfriend, at least not yet. You wouldn’t call him a best friend either. He was… just there. Like a quiet, steady wind in the background of your storm. You met him in university he’d been part of your theater class, always loud and smiling, while you were the silent, responsible one who came and left early to catch the train home.
But for some reason, he stayed.
And stayed.
Until it became normal for him to help you carry your books. To text you to eat. To drop off vitamin packets at your door during midterms. To walk you to the station even when you insisted he didn’t have to. To show up at your part-time job with hot tea and say, “Just happened to be around.”
But you knew better.
Jun always knew where to find you. And he always helped. Even when you never asked.
One rainy Wednesday night
You were carrying a bag of groceries in one hand and a stack of your sister’s school art supplies in the other, soaked to the bone. The strap of your bag had broken and your phone had died. Your chest ached from how tightly you were trying to hold everything together. The streetlights were flickering as you walked home, the wind sharp and cold, your arms trembling from the weight.
And suddenly
An umbrella covered you.
A familiar voice. “Why didn’t you wait for me?”
You blinked, breath caught. “Jun, how did you?”
“I called. You didn’t pick up. So I came.” He took the grocery bag from you without waiting. His hand brushed yours warm, solid. “You should’ve called me.”
“I didn’t want to bother you,” you whispered, looking down.
His sigh was soft. “Y/N. You don’t have to carry everything alone.”
“I’m the eldest,” you replied without thinking, voice cracking on the edges. “It’s my job.”
Jun didn’t say anything for a moment. But then, he placed the umbrella handle in your hand and reached out gently wiping away the tear you hadn’t realized had fallen.
“You’re allowed to rest too.”
He was always there.
When your little brother got sick and you had to run between home and pharmacy, Jun was the one who showed up with soup and stayed to clean the dishes.
When your mother snapped at you during dinner out of her own stress, Jun held your hand under the table until it stopped shaking.
When your boss yelled at you unfairly and you cried in the breakroom, Jun was the first to show up outside with bubble tea and a stupid dance to make you smile.
He never asked anything in return.
Never once said, “You owe me.”
But one day, you broke.
It was after a long week your father had fallen ill, your sister was behind in school, and your manager had threatened to cut your hours.
You came home to find the water heater broken, and the living room flooded.
You sat on the floor, soaked, surrounded by the smell of damp socks and soap, and cried. The kind of crying that comes from the bones, from a place so tired it no longer remembers how to hope.
And just like always, Jun showed up.
“Where’s the mop?” he asked softly, crouching beside you.
You couldn’t even speak. Just shook your head, covering your face.
“I’m here,” he whispered, rubbing your back gently. “You don’t have to say anything.”
He didn’t ask questions. Just stood up, rolled up his sleeves, and started cleaning. You watched him through blurry eyes how careful he was, how gentle, how patient.
You didn’t realize how long he stayed until the living room was dry, your tears had stopped, and he was sitting beside you, arm loosely wrapped around your shoulder.
“I’m sorry,” you said hoarsely. “For always making you come save me.”
“You didn’t make me do anything,” Jun replied softly. “I wanted to.”
You looked up. His eyes were kind but serious.
“Do you know how strong you are, Y/N? How much I admire you?”
You didn’t speak. He reached over, tucking a damp strand of hair behind your ear.
“But even the strongest people need someone to lean on sometimes. Let me be that for you.”
Later that week, you asked him something.
“Why do you help me so much?”
Jun smiled, but it wasn’t playful this time. It was quiet. Honest.
“Because I see you.”
You blinked. “What do you mean?”
“I see you, Y/N. The way you carry everyone. The way you smile when you’re hurting. The way you give and give, even when you’re running on empty. I see it.”
And then, softer: “And I love you for it.”
Your heart stopped.
“I don’t want anything from you,” he said, eyes gentle. “I just want to be by your side. To be the person you don’t have to be strong around.”
Years later
When you stood at the altar, dressed in white, you remembered every moment Jun had been there.
When your father gave you away, his hands trembling with age, you remembered how Jun had helped you convince him to take his medication.
When your little sister hugged you tightly, crying happy tears, you remembered how Jun helped her pass her exams when you couldn’t.
And when Jun held your hands in his, whispering vows you didn’t need to hear to believe you smiled.
Because in a world where you had to be strong for everyone…
He had always been strong for you.
And the best part was you never had to ask.

ALRIGHT, let’s keep it REAL for a second. You know the drill—you're on your phone, thinking, "I'll just scroll for a minute," but then one TikTok turns into 20, and before you know it, you’ve wasted an hour or two, and your to-do list is still staring at you, untouched. We’ve all been there. You didn’t even mean to procrastinate, but somehow, scrolling has become your default LIKE UR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT. Now you’re sitting there, realizing you’ve literally accomplished nothing, and you’re feeling the pressure creeping up. The guilt sets in, and suddenly the task seems way bigger than it actually is. It’s like time got stolen from you, but the problem is, you let it happen. And that’s okay—we’ve all been there, but let’s talk about how we can stop this cycle and get back on track. So how do we actually break this HABIT and get YOUR SHIT TOGETHER ? First, time-blocking is a solid strategy. HEAR ME OUT Don’t think you need to study for hours straight. Start small—set a timer for 20-30 minutes where you focus only on your homework, then take a 5-10 minute break. You’ll be surprised how much you can get done in those short bursts, and the breaks will keep you from feeling burned out. NEEEXT get your phone out of your face SERIOUSLY, put THAT SHIT it in another room or at least out of reach while you’re working the temptation to check social media is too strong, and if you don’t see it, you won’t even remember it’s there. Also, let’s be honest, a lot of us scroll because we’re avoiding something. So, try this: break your tasks into super small chunks. Instead of saying “I need to finish this whole chapter,” say “I’ll do the first page, then the next,” and slowly build from there. Turn off notifications, too. If you know a text or Instagram notification is going to pull you away from your work, MUTE THAT SHIT ! Your friends and memes can wait. And finally, remember YOUR FUCKING DREAMS UR GOAAALS LIKE GUUURL U WANT TO BE A RICH WORK FOR IIIIT ..When you're tempted to procrastinate, think about why you're putting in the work. Whether it’s to feel less stressed or to actually enjoy your weekends because you’ve gotten stuff done, reminding yourself of your end goal helps you push through the urge to scroll. So yeah, it’s not about being perfect—just about taking small steps every day. You don’t need to be working 24/7, but get focused when you need to, and trust me, you’ll see the difference !

。𖦹°‧ you ask your cute tutor to help you study for your math final.

You have a bit of a dilemma.
Well, it would be more accurate to say that you had a dilemma, have had one for quite a while now—your current grievances are merely extensions of a constant, one raging, blood-thirsty, borderline psychopathic problem of a class. MTH121, Concepts & Applications, is the only remaining mathematics credit required for your degree, and, coincidentally, absolutely no one told you that that’s really just a fancy name for pre-calculus. Because the universe hates you.
Your final is tomorrow. Yes, tomorrow. If that wasn’t bad enough, your brain has utterly fucked you; months spent poring over formulas and right triangles amounts to nothing in the moment, every relevant fragment of knowledge completely foreign to your burnt out, sleep deprived, caffeine ridden psyche. So here you sit, “studying”, armed with just your textbook and Khan Academy tutorials.
Is it too late to switch majors? Yes, you decide, massaging your temples as you take another glance at your notes. A mass of numbers, variables, and scribbled matrices clogs the pages, complete with your near ineligible annotations, details added in the heat of a lecture. You never knew there could be so many different types of numbers. Solve for x. 5 + 2x to the 2nd power = 8x. Factor x3 - 3x to the 2nd power - 4x + 12. Find the vertex of the function f(x) = x to the 2nd power + 4x + 3. Determine the value of x if the sum of the following sequence converges to 5. How any of this is relevant to your future non-mathematics degree is beyond you.
What the hell is a vertex again? And what does it matter? You’d rather be sleeping, or drunk. Whatever.
You have one saving grace. Since your freshman year you’ve been employing a little cheat-sheet, your one-way ticket to having math explained to you in a language understood by plebeians like yourself: one Luigi Mangione, a friend of a friend of a friend, possibly the smartest guy you know (and you’re far from the only person to voice that opinion). Your self-appointed tutor—and unfortunately for you, probably the most appetizing of any of the frat guys you’ve met in college, to put it chastely. The actual knowledge is just a bonus, really, because unlike other tutors you’ve worked with Luigi seems to actually care; he wants you to walk away from him with a solid understanding of the material, rather than a temporary knowledge that gets your homework done but is absent from your memory by the time of your exams. And it’s hard to write off the fact that he’s easy on the eyes.
…Pretty damn hard, actually. Because—in all honesty—you’re really into Luigi. Another thing that’s hard to do is get your math homework done when you’re busy fucking yourself with your fingers, like you tend to do after your time with him, thinking about his cock, his hands, the way he would fill you, pin you down underneath him, smirk at you and tell you dirty things like that’s my girl, that’s my good fucking girl, that’s it, give it to me, show me how pretty you look when you come all over me like this…
Great. At this pace, you’ll never get anything done.
Your phone buzzes.
About an hour ago, you sent him a photo of your current predicament: your laptop and notebook open, and you sitting criss-crossed in front of it, an exaggerated pout on your lips. A few moments later, you sent another, this time of your middle finger pointed directly at your professor’s official portrait. Now, he responds:
Academic Weapon (Luigi) : Smh
Who studies the night before their final?? Dummy
You smile, replying:
i do :(
help pls :((
Academic Weapon (Luigi) : You poor thing
And then:
Academic Weapon (Luigi) : Come over. In like 15
We’ll work it out together
Score. He adds:
Academic Weapon (Luigi) : And I better not hear any complaining when I make you actually do the math
Your crush feels elementary, like you’ve got the hots for the nerdy jock on the playground that’s miles out of your league and that every girl on planet Earth is fighting tooth and nail for. You respond:
no promises :P
You pray to your lucky stars that you can study as nonchalantly as humanly possible.
Tumblr media
You told him you wouldn’t complain, and you’ve tried, you really have. But dividing radicals is fucking stupid and useless and the more you look at your paper the more these numbers and symbols really start to look all the same to you, just scribbles, meaningless scribbles of made-up concepts that have nothing to do with your career prospects whatsoever. Who gives a flying fuck about solving equations with these weird ass numbers that normal people don’t even use?
You must be thinking out loud, because Luigi laughs next to you on the couch. He is laughing at your frustration. What an emotionally supportive tutor. You groan and thread your fingers through your hair, massaging your temples.
Still smiling just slightly, he starts to gather up your things. “Alright, look, how about we take a break?” He glances over at you, still holding your head in your hands. “Yeah, let’s take a break for a minute.”
He gets up from the couch, disappears into the kitchen for just a moment. Comes back with a glass of orange juice. For you. You try not to think about how pathetic it is that the most romantic gesture a man has done for you in the past three years is bring you juice. Instead you watch him, sipping slowly—no pulp, he knows you so well—and peeking through your eyelashes as he scuttles around his dorm, just the two of you alone together, while he throws some laundry into a basket and absentmindedly closes doors of unoccupied rooms. You have never noticed how defined his calves are before, nor how his curls bounce just slightly when he walks fast or how his shorts sag on his hips just right, just enough for you to get a peek of his V-line and the waistband of his boxers when he raises his arms to stretch
Nonchalant. Demure. Mindful. You are failing so hard at the one thing you’ve forbidden yourself from doing: staring at him until your eyes are practically burning holes in his clothes and he’s melting into the floor. Not entirely your fault. He should’ve known to dress modestly around you. Around anybody, for that matter.
Luigi comes to sit by you now. As you tuck your hair behind your ears you can feel his arm move to rest along the back of the couch, almost around you, but not quite.
“Hi,” you say, propping your head up on your arm.
He smiles at you. You can’t even look him in the eye. “Did you think more about your radicals?”
“Don’t remind me,” you groan, rolling your eyes. “No. I didn’t.”
“Well, what were you thinking about?”
You swallow the conspiratorial intuition that he has to be fucking with you. Maybe he sees it on your face. Can smell it on you. Something.
“I was trying to think of some things I’d rather be doing,” you offer. “Instead of math.”
Your heart feels three beats faster all of a sudden, and when did he get so close to you? Your thighs are touching, his knee brushing against yours. “And what did you come up with?” he asks.
Oh, fuck. He’s definitely fucking with you. Right? He has that goddamn smirk on his face, that one that makes your insides twist with a feeling reserved only for boys who look at you just like this, like you’re busted, like he knows exactly what you’ve been thinking about every second you’ve spent sitting next to him doing algebra. You want to kiss it right off of him.
“Nothing,” you lie, sitting up straight and trying to pretend like you really are interested in your studies. “Here, will you show me how to do it again?”
He calls your name. He doesn’t even have to ask for you to look at him; the tone of his voice and the tilt of his head makes his intentions entirely clear. When your eyes meet his he inches closer, and all you can manage to do is stare at his lips.
“Tell me what you want,” he demands, stern and warm enough to boil.
If he truly knew what he was asking for he wouldn’t be asking at all, you think. Not unless he was prepared for whatever your fervent need has in store for him. Embarrassment feels bright red and prickly on your skin. “I shouldn’t say.”
”But I think you should,” he whispers.
Oh. Oh. All bets are off, now. This has officially progressed from studying to “studying”.
Luigi lets you lead, his hand settling on the small of your back as you come a little closer to kiss him, properly. You hear him giggle before your lips meet; the curve of his smile against you is unmistakable, casting sparks through your body and down your thighs. He tastes like spearmint. You learn quickly that he is a fantastic kisser, and his tongue finds yours with curious excitement when your breathing starts to pick up. Without question, he claims the expanse of you, drinking in your essence, licking, biting. Those irresistible curls demand attention, and so you thread your fingers through his hair, your hand sweeping from behind his ear to the nape of his neck. Luigi shivers under your touch, exhaling softly against you.
When the fingers of his left hand raise to grasp your leg, you stop kissing him only to swing your body over his lap so that you’re straddling him. Luigi breathes in deep then, like his nervous system collectively seizes at the feeling of you so close. To give him room to breathe you stop short of settling all your weight onto him. Lips meeting once more, his hands greet your hips; his touch is warm, and timid, like you’re made of sand, like you might collapse and dissolve into immeasurable particles between his fingers.
He groans into your mouth. Murmurs your name. “This isn’t very productive,” he quips.
“Intellectually, no,” you agree, nails brushing the back of his neck. He has goosebumps. A ghost of a smile dancing on your lips, you slowly lower yourself down onto his lap; there are two layers of clothes between your bare skin but he is impossibly warm against you. “But what about physically?”
Luigi smiles, and fuck, he is too fucking beautiful. “I guess I can’t argue with that.”
And so you kiss him again and again and again, your heart doing backflips inside your chest when his big hands glide lower, and lower, thumb toying with the waistband of your skirt, and lower still, until he’s gripping your ass. You can’t help but nuzzle against the growing stiffness underneath you, poking between your thighs—and you definitely can’t help but love the way he grinds back, hips meeting yours with just as much enthusiasm. Fuck. About an hour ago you were working through polynomials and linear equations, and now the dreamiest guy you’ve ever met is hard for you, holding you in his lap. You might as well thank your professor.
When Luigi sucks at your bottom lip for a few euphoric moments, you make the most pathetic sound into his mouth, and he growls, his hands suddenly coming up to grasp your hips and hold them steady. “Was this your plan all along?” he rasps, his lips moving swiftly to the side of your face, your jaw, the junction between your neck and shoulder.
Sharp teeth graze skin and you whimper. “What do you mean?”
“What, now you’re playing coy?” Luigi finds the pulse point in your throat and bites, softly at first, then harder when your fingers curl into the hair at the back of his head. “You didn’t want to study. You called me because you wanted to get fucked, because you knew I’d want to touch you just like this, didn’t you?”
This boy is out of his mind. First he practically eye-fucks you while schooling you about imaginary numbers, and then he “scolds” you like he’s disappointed in your lack of interest in algebra, like he’s mad that you can’t resist him for being so damn gorgeous. That half-hearted meanness in his tone leaves butterflies in your stomach, in no way helped by the feeling of his tongue sliding over your collarbone.
“No,” you mutter. It’s not completely a lie. You really did need his help with the math, which he is really good at…but you can’t deny that you were really hoping you two would end up like this, with him kissing your neck all over until you’re speckled with purple and pink. You don’t even care about the obvious evidence of him on your skin—you want his entire dorm hall to know just how well-acquainted the two of you are by the time he’s done with you. The thought of everyone knowing you’re his makes you weak.
Luigi is kissing you again, slowly and deeply, one hand coming up to cup your breast through your shirt. His touch is too much and not enough simultaneously, your need overwhelming, and your hips are searching desperately for friction, rolling against him eagerly. So much for nonchalance.
He grasps your chin, firm but not at all painful, and flashes you that pretty smile, tutting, “I don’t believe you.”
Your mind is far too preoccupied with thoughts of his touch in other places to try to formulate a witty rebut. You opt instead to kiss him harder and sneak a hand between your bodies, tracing over his chest, down his carefully crafted abdomen, and then over the front of his shorts, groping his hard cock through polyester. Luigi groans into your mouth. He is big, almost intimidating, and imagining him inside of you has your body feeling hot all over.
As you palm the outline of his length through his trousers, his hands make their way underneath your sweater, the sudden warmth of him jolting through your torso. You look up at him through your lashes and he smirks.
“Do you want to sit on it?” he asks you, entirely stoic despite the weight of his words.
You kiss him, still squeezing his cock. “Can I put it in my mouth first?”
Fuck. You have him wrapped around your finger. How could he possibly say no when you ask so sweetly? Luigi is instantly pulling down his shorts for you, the rustle of fabric making your head spin. He’s left in just his boxers and a sweater that you quickly help him shrug off, too. Once you have him undressed, he takes a moment to survey you, your cheeks flushed, eyes lidded, hair tousled from his hands. You feel a surge of confidence now that you have his full attention and so you pull your top up and over your head, smiling when he reaches behind you to help you with your bra. He has it and your skirt off in just a few seconds, leaving your combined clothes to pile up next to the couch.
You shift so that you’re kneeling on the floor in front of him, wearing only your panties, watching him watching you. He is grinning, his cock standing proud, and you know you must be blushing by the way his teeth flash from under the curve of his lips. You feel gooey and hot in the pit of your stomach. Swallowing your shyness, you reach forward to take him in your hand. He’s already sticky at the tip, precum glistening on his slit, and so you begin to stroke him, starting at the head of his dick and spreading slick down his shaft. His cock is probably the most gorgeous thing you’ve ever seen, at the very least a runner-up for his face: tan and thick, his girth evenly distributed, and big enough to have you feeling your heartbeat between your legs. There is a prominent vein along the underside of him, ending at his frenulum. He pulses with each movement of your hand.
Once he’s as wet as you like, you come closer to tease him with your tongue, licking up the base, tracing his vein, passing over his slit. Luigi groans—“fuuuuuck, baby,”—and threads his fingers into your hair, tugging hard.
“Don’t be a fucking tease,” he rasps. “You asked for this. Show me what that mouth can do.”
Your lips are halfway wrapped around the head of him and when you moan at his words it vibrates through him, his abs flexing deliciously. You move further down, then, mouth closed around his length, applying light pressure on your way back up. He’s too big to take all of him at once and so your left hand grasps the length you can’t reach, pumping gently. You start a subtle, easy rhythm, evenly paced and obviously satisfying enough to have Luigi panting and swearing above you: your mouth starts at his tip, sucking gently, then gliding lower, until you can feel him in the back of your throat and you’re nearly gagging on him—and then you move upward again, cheeks hollowing around him, finally reaching the head of him once more. Rinse and repeat. It is organized. Formulaic. Your process leaves you practically drooling on his cock, spit collecting at the base where you are stroking him. Fuck. You haven’t pleased a guy like this in quite a while, and under any other circumstances you’d probably feel a bit insecure about your work; but it’s difficult to justify any doubts you might have, what with the noises coming from above you:
“Oh, fuck, yes, baby, yes, just like that, fuck yes,” Luigi moans, fingers knotted tightly in your hair. “Oh my god, your mouth…”
You slip your free hand into your panties, middle and ring finger rubbing your clit.
As your ministrations intensify, his reactions do, too. You can feel his thighs and hips tensing in an effort not to fuck into your throat. But you made a promise to yourself; you want to take the entirety of his length in your mouth before all of this is over, and so you move your left hand down to his balls, kneading him and carefully lowering your face until your nose is pressed into the curly hairs of his groin, his cock as deep as it can reach. And Luigi keens, head thrown back against the couch, one hand in your hair and the other gripping the armrest tight. You can feel him twitching in your throat.
There are a few blissful moments of you sucking him just like this, sinking him deep into your throat and pinching your lips around his tip, and you almost wish the two of you were recording because the sounds he makes are top tier jerk material for at least the next few months. He’d be a natural on camera. You want to commit every second of this to your memory.
When he goes quiet for a moment you open your eyes to look at him. You find him staring down at you, mouth agape. “Are you touching yourself?” he asks.
It’s difficult to answer with his dick in your mouth, so you settle for moaning around him again, eyes fluttering shut.
“Holy fuck,” he grunts, his voice sweeter than sugar.
You could sit here sucking him off for the rest of your life—you could die with his dick in your mouth—but you regrettably begin to feel your jaw aching, knowing full well that keeping this up will have you hurting. Not that you really mind. When you begin to sputter and tear up around him, he grabs both sides of your face and pulls your mouth off of his cock. You are crying, just a little, crocodile tears streaming down your cheeks, your throat raw.
Luigi looks down at you sweetly. “Oh, baby,” he coos, wiping your wet face dry with his thumbs. “That’s my perfect girl. So good to me. Come here.”
He welcomes you back onto his lap with open arms and a smile. He is warm, so warm and soft against you, you could fall asleep just like this. But he is kissing you now, so slowly that you feel dizzy, and so you ground yourself, fingers embracing his curls. His hands move to your hips, grasping the waistband of your panties, teasing you, rubbing the fabric against your heat. When he finally has them off his fingers are instantly examining you, collecting your slick, slipping through your folds.
“Let’s see about a little reward for you, hm?” he whispers, capturing your lips with his.
You kiss him eagerly and arch your back so that your thighs spread wide enough for his fingers to enter you with ease—not that it would be difficult without, considering that you’re so wet you can hear him touching you, even over the sound of your blood rushing in your ears. Two long digits move inside of you, stretching you, massaging that spot that makes your knees buckle and your eyes cross, plus a few more that you never knew existed. His touch feels so good, just how you imagined, and you have to lean forward into the crook of his neck to keep yourself upright, your teeth sinking into a firm shoulder. Luigi makes a gruff sound, almost a chuckle, and his cock jumps at your whiny, choked noises when he adds a third finger into your pussy.
“So needy, aren’t you?” he teases. “Have you been thinking about this, gorgeous? About sucking my cock and taking my fingers like this?”
You nod, because of course you have. In that exact order. Who wouldn’t?
Luigi smiles at you, soft and adoring. You make a curious sound and his fingers depart from you, lingering at your entrance until you grind down into his lap. Your cunt brushes against him, raw, hungry, slathering his cock with your slick.
“I want you,” you whine, grabbing his face and kissing him again. “I want all of you.”
“Yeah, baby?” His hands are guiding your hips, moving you slowly against him. “Tell me about it.”
Well, you would, if your brain weren’t short-circuiting at the moment. His fault. You mumble into his ear, something about infinity, something about the way you hug your pillow at night and all the times you’ve fucked yourself stupid thinking about this very image of you and him together like this. But there are countless words for your endless feelings, words you would preach to him from high places if your body had the agency to; your attraction to him is primal, but neatly arranged, layered, wrapped up with variables galore and multiplying with each moment you spend in his presence. A mess, no doubt about it, but one you can control, a tangle to unravel, an equation to solve. Nothing less. You aren’t sure of how this ends but you know that you need him, bad, more than you knew was possible before.
You crash into him, mouths colliding, everything that you left unsaid spilling into your embrace. Words are hard. Kissing Luigi and grinding your warm, throbbing cunt against him takes much less brainpower.
He is speaking to you when you pull away: “Baby, just a second, wait right here, let me get something.” Gently you are pushed from his lap and he disappears into his room momentarily, leaving you waiting, alone, aching for him, until he rounds the corner again with a familiar foil packet, finding his way back to the couch and sweeping you on top of him once more.
“Hi. Sorry.” And now he is fully yours.
You whine and wiggle against him the second the condom is on.
“Shh,” Luigi whispers, “I got you, ‘s okay, gorgeous. Gonna take good care of you, yeah? Don’t you worry. Gonna give you just what you need, baby.”
The tip of his cock is pressing into you, then, slowly easing himself inside, and fuck, he fits just right, fills you up perfectly, has you seeing stars already. The sound you make when he bottoms out is a hop, skip, and a jump away from pornographic. Luigi purrs underneath you.
“Oh, I know, baby, I know.” His hand slides down to grip your ass, spreading you, and from this angle you can feel just how much he stretches you out. And then, as he begins to roll his hips: “My sweet girl, working so hard, can’t even think for yourself, can you, beautiful? That’s okay, baby. I can do all the thinking for you, you just sit back and let me work it out for you, yeah? Don’t think. Just let me please this pussy.”
It’s like he’s trying to kill you. Every single word he says into your ear shoots straight to your cunt, the mere sound of his voice so near you electrifying. He’s deep, and with your thighs spread wide like this you just have to take advantage of the perfect angle to rub your clit against him. You can’t help but squeal into the crook of his neck each time his hips ram up into you, thighs clapping against your ass; by the way his muscles tense you assume it must take much of his energy, and yet he pounds you like you weigh nothing in his lap, exerting himself like it’s a cakewalk so long as he can watch your face shrivel up with overwhelming delectation. You can tell that he loves it when you tug his hair or bite him, and so you do it every chance you get, just in case your hushed utterances in his ear fail to make your message clear enough:
“Luigi, fuckfuckfuck, oh my god, oh, fuck…”
As he paces himself Luigi wraps his strong arms around you, one caging your waist and the other pulling tight at your hair. Your neck is arched and exposed, leaving him free to smother his love all over you in sharp, uneven hickeys. You needed this, so, so bad, and you tell him exactly that, chanting thank you, thank you, thank you and holding him tight.
“Whatever you want,” he whispers. “You can have whatever you want with me. Anything.” His lips meet yours, fleeting, and then, with the slightest hint of a grin: “You earned this, baby.”
You groan directly into his ear. It’s straight from your dreams, you think, like you’ve been swept from your bed in the midst of the night and dropped right here, in the lap of the sweetest, smartest, most handsome boy you’ve ever so much as looked at, bouncing on his cock while he kisses you like you’ll float away if he lets go. The two of you work together to heighten each other’s inevitable undoing, like a function of sorts; Luigi pushes and you push back, meeting his hips every time, your clit brushing against him just right, and him breaching unknown depths of you, hands roaming, learning you inside and out.
“My sweet girl,” he grabs your face and rests his forehead against yours, driving into you with precision. “This is all yours, baby.”
Sweat starts to gather at his hairline and you can feel him shuddering in your arms. Kissing him, you press down on his toned chest, pinning him against the couch, and Luigi is practically singing for you, little grunts and babys and murmurs of your name traveling through your ears and echoing in your mind. You want this to last forever. His hips slow to a stop when you begin to move on your own; you raise yourself up, resting all your weight on your knees, with him sliding out of your cunt until just the tip is still inside—and then you drop down, letting him sink back into you quickly, slick and smooth, his cock so deep you can nearly feel it in your stomach.
Fuck. You love this. You love the way his hands grip your ass, your thighs, rubbing your back, moaning your name and kissing behind your ear. You love the way he looks at you. The pupils of those dark eyes are blown wide, watching you move, worshipping how your tits bounce, the gyration of your hips, the blush of arousal all over you, your bottom lip wedged between your teeth. The sounds of sex and the shameless way he takes in every feature of your body have you feeling hot and ready to burst. You moan his name, drawn out and raspy.
“Yes,” Luigi groans. “You’re so pretty on top of me.”
Even through the haze of your pleasure you smile at his praise. He is telling you everything, every single thought that passes by in his mind, as if there will be no proof of how good he fucked you once you leave his dorm, as if every word will dissipate into thin air and leave you waiting, unsatisfied, hanging on the edge: “You take it so well, baby, my sweet girl, so perfect, so perfect just for me.”
His big hands are all over you. One cups your breast, sucking your nipple into his mouth, with the other splayed over your hip. You start to feel dizzy, anxious for his attention, a little bit crazy. Close. Luigi must notice the way your eyes screw shut and your pussy squeezes him tight, because his hand moves down your chest, over your stomach, and then to your clit, circling his fingers with purpose. He wishes—almost—that you were beneath him, so that he could replace his hand with his mouth, trace down your body with his lips and bring you to your very edge with his tongue, over and over again, until you’re begging him to stop.
He settles instead for kissing you, hard, slowly, lingering. “You have no fucking idea how bad I’ve been wanting this, baby.”
You nod, moaning, “yes, yes, me too,” your noises pained and rough in your throat.
The way his cock slams into you with each movement of your hips is ruthless, bruising; he’s kissing you so sweetly and you can feel your climax churning in your abdomen, rippling through you. It knocks the air from your lungs. Sex with him hurts so good. It’s like nothing you’ve ever felt before.
“Gonna come,” you huff. There are fingernail-sized dents in his skin. “Gonna come for you.”
Luigi nods, whispers, “good girl, such a good girl,” and circles his fingers over your clit as fast as he can manage.
You tense around him at that. You can’t even count how many times you’ve come imagining those very words whispered in your ear by the very man that you’re riding right now.
“Fuck,” he hisses. “Yeah? You like that? You like being a good girl for me?”
You nod wildly, and everything feels so real all of a sudden, like you’ve been floating mindlessly in space and you are crashing down into reality. His teeth dig into the sensitive skin of your neck and his hips start to pump again and by the time he’s meeting your thrusts you’ve had enough, thighs shaking, and he starts moaning into your ear so that you know he’s right there with you, and fuck, he’s really trying to kill you—
Your orgasm hits you like a truck. A 5’11, dark haired and brown eyed muscle truck that looks at you like you are the only good thing left in the world.
For a moment there is only your deep panting and his equally spent breaths as the both of you rest, his hand tracing gentle patterns on your back, yours combing through his sweat-soaked curls. The dorm is quiet, calm, almost with an air of innocence, completely unswayed by the heady aftermath of what the two of you just did right there on the couch. You lean back and look into his eyes, brooding and trained entirely on you. And he has that stupid grin on his face, the one that gives both of you away for good, the one that screams we’re not the only ones who know what we’ve been up to.
You want to kiss it right off of his beautiful, beautiful face. But right now you just sigh, lean into his shoulder, and let him hold you tight. Tonight you will walk back to your dorm, all the way on the other side of campus, where your roommates will be waiting for you, likely getting ready for bed. You will walk inside and they will watch you without a clue as to whose hands have been on you, whose name has been on your lips, whose cock has been buried to the hilt inside of you for the past hour. Your legs will be aching—you are sure of it.
Your roommates will ask you, “how’d it go?”, completely unaware of what your wobbly smile really means, how you really spent your time with your cute tutor.
And you will respond, “oh, great,” with a barely masked giggle. “I’m gonna ace my test tomorrow.”

I was thinking about Aaron; older, his twins almost 10 or 11, and everything is… normal? His daughters get to say my daddy is a doctor or my mommy is a scientist when their teachers in school ask about their jobs. He goes to dance recitals, or little league tournaments, Katelyn bakes little cakes for the school bake sale when she has the time to do so. Most evenings he comes home to a home cooked meal, or he’s happy to hand his wife a hot plate of food when she’s finished a long shift. They have a mortgage, and bills, and insurance and a college fund for the girls - they wave to the neighbours when they pass them in the mornings, or have a beer on each others porches in the evenings. They have to water their grass. They help their kids with their homework. He’s been to therapy. He sleeps at night. He wakes up in the morning. They’re a family, and they work, and everything is normal.
One day their youngest by four minutes is having a shower in their main bathroom. He should’ve fixed the lock when he said he would. Katelyn is at work, she should be home soon - he’s in the kitchen, the radio is on behind him, the extractor fan is loud. He doesn’t pay attention to the first round of banging, leaning over the check that there was nobody knocking on their front door, and then he hears it again. Three, four solid knocks of fist on wood from the upstairs bathroom. The older of the two meets him on the stairs just in time for him to hear his youngest calling out, “dad!”
“The lock is jammed!” she yells, and Aaron tries it from the outside. Nothing - no movement, no give.
“Stand back,” Aaron says through the door. “Don’t be scared, just stand back in the tub.”
When he’s certain she’s retreated, he tries it with his shoulder first - nothing. Again with his shoulder, a hard, forceful whack - there’s a little bit of movement, but still not enough. He’s taken a step back before he’s realised what he’s doing, and aims his foot for just below the door knob. The second his heel meets splintering plywood, he hears it. The thumping against a wall, or maybe it’s just the pounding heart in his chest. As the door swings open he feels the racquet in his hands, the blood on his face, the hands in his hair.
This has been in my drafts for so long that I’ve lost where I was going with it but something something Aaron accidentally being triggered by/around his kids and having to deal with that, knowing he’s scaring them, knowing they don’t know whats happening. Aaron feeling so far away from his past but being transported back in an instant.

𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘺
The days following your fight with Art were rife with silence and solitude. Sequestered alone in your dorm, you lay there either working on your piling homework or listening to 'emo'-esque music to help funnel your emotions, but that still didn't help.
As much as you hate to admit it the one thing that did was tennis. Wanting to avoid Art and even Tashi, you went as early as possible. Every morning since the fight for at least a solid week, you got up at 4:30 AM, dressed, jumped the court fence to practice for about 5 hours, and exited just as the other 'early' players showed up.
It invigorated you to be energized early in the day and you sometimes smashed the ball or even your racquet if you felt like it. Being alone wasn't a new circumstance for you but it was certainly novel as of late. You were so used to Art's presence on the court and in your life.
Dinners were spent together, and silly chats you two had were the norm for at least a year. Not to mention the bizarre push and pull with the romantic tension between you two. Even before Stanford, you'd labored to get his phone number, after begging Tashi for a few days and speaking to him on the phone constantly.
Though, the blonde seemed just as ardent as you in your aversion to one another. He had tried calling you multiple times and texting but it was fruitless. You'd picked up the phone once to only put it back down.
 ⋆★⋆
"I'm so sorry," Art sobbed, he sounded as if someone had stabbed him, "I'm so, so sorry." You said nothing and stayed neutral. You, unfortunately, picked up the phone after Donaldson had called it 23 times in the past 2 days, and decided the 24th would be the last. It was time to be the bigger person and end the fight between you two.
"Me too, Art." Muttering drily you heard his hiccups stop, and a loud sigh of relief. You could almost feel the weight being lifted off of his shoulders.
He whispered your name softly, "I never meant to hurt you. I just... I wanted to say what I thought you wanted."
A sharp pain shot through your chest as those lethal words left his lips and pure white-hot vexation replaced whatever emotion had been there previously. It was silent between the two of you, which confused the boy.
Art called your name but was interrupted, "You know what I want Art Donaldson?" You roared, "For your fucking castration to be slow and painful!"
 ⋆★⋆
The poor cutesy, pink Motorola Razr was no longer a phone after the conversation and lay shattered on your floor for days before you finally felt bad and threw it out. Your new one, a hue of bright cherry red, felt much more fitting for this new lifestyle.
Tashi you didn't actually avoid, more like you didn't tell her what was wrong. If beating around the bush was a professional sport you would've left tennis ages ago. Every time you and Tashi would be talking, in your small instants outside of your room or the court that week, Art would approach and you'd immediately give these automated lines;
"Oh shit, Tashi, sorry I got an essay to write!"
"Oops! I forgot I had a thing I have to get to so.."
"It's what time? I gotta go walk my fish!"
Ausispously, these went unnoticed by Tashi because in every single one of the instances you slipped away back to your dorm and to your desolation, without as much as a blink from your friend. If you weren't so content in your loneliness you probably would have been much more uncertain or at least unhappy about her sudden disconnect from you, but chalked it up to Patrick being in town for a longer period.

𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗖𝗞 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗖𝗞
The loud pounds landed dully against your door and woke you up immediately. Your body sat up and the sun's harsh blare into your tiny room flashed in your face, nearly blinding you upon waking up. You frantically glanced around your dorm room, seeing if it was something inside rather than external.
But no, all in your room were your postered walls full of music artists, art pieces themselves, silly photos of you and your friends from home (though most of those photos were overshadowed by Tashi's), and other miscellaneous items that sat around. In the small moment of silence between pounds, you began to slightly enjoy the pleasing sight of how pretty your room looked in the California dawning sun.
However, you were quickly slapped back into reality because the pounding had not ceased; seemingly getting louder if it was imaginable. What the fuck... That specific thought rattled through your foggy brain and your face contorted to deep confusion—even fear. Yet, you finally got the motivation to gradually inch toward the door, not even knowing who the fuck could be on the other side. The door rattled and shook explosively the closer you got until a hand to the handle.
The metal felt cool and smooth under your grasp. Soon flinching at the pounding and slightly wondered how your neighbors didn't get pissed off yet. But, you focused and opened the door.
Then there he was, Patrick Zweig, in all his glory posed in a mid-pound gesture at your dorm room door, staring straight at you.
"Hi,"
"Hey..."
Patrick soon pushed his way past you, walking into your dorm unphased. "Okay, just come right in.." You muttered, shutting the door behind you before turning to him. He stood in the middle of your room, inspecting it like he's the fucking DA. Nevertheless, he looked quite pretty as he was dressed in a simple white t-shirt with some dorky slogan and jorts—fit for California weather.
The silence was palpable between you two, Patrick seemed unbothered, almost jovial, and the signature devilish glint in his eyes. You, in contrast, glared at him like he was the spawn of Satan.
"Don't you look joyful?" Patrick chuckled, a playful smile soon following. Your scowl didn't budge but despite that, he came toward you with arms open wide, and enclosed you in a hug, "I'm certainly happy to see you." His words were muffled in the tangled mess that was your hair at this early of an hour. You hugged back briefly, then pressed him off.
"Pounding at my door at..." You glanced at the digital clock, "Jesus Christ, 7:15 in the morning?!" A small chuckle left Patrick again at his ability to get a rise out of you. You crossed your arms angrily and pinched the bridge of your nose with a sigh.
"Well, I'm eager to see one of my two special girls," He quipped, leaning back on your window sill with a surprising suaveness. That had become his nickname for you and Tashi over the past months. His 'special' girls were his way of flirting with you and getting on your nerves all at the same time. Both he and your best friend found it hilarious.
"Zweig, you have a pretty fucking odd way of showing 'enthusiasm'," A scoff left your lips just as you sauntered to the bathroom that was tangent to your room. The brunette soon followed and leaned on the doorway as you started your routine.
"I adore you, pookie!" A shutter audibly left you when he drawled out the terribly cheesy nickname. That one was the worst.
"Bleugh," You gagged, "Jesus Christ, Patrick why can't you be normal?" Somehow you frowned even deeper if that was even possible.
The boy laughed in reply, "Because who would be around to force you to have some fun?" Patrick looked at you with those eyes, his pretty forestry eyes that have broken hearts all across the country, they were meant for you. It made you want to stare back with your own, basking in it like a summer's day. And that smile, god— his smile was the sun itself. If Art was the ice, Patrick was the fire, the sun. The sun's light could always melt the winter's snow, you assumed he was with Tash for that similar reason. Opposites attract.
You started to feel yourself blush, your mind overthinking and repeating thoughts that all were about him, Patrick.
Patrick, Patrick, Patrick.
Hastily, you rushed to turn on the faucet and started to forcefully wash your face. Hopefully, it would wash away the shame that overtook the sudden rush of emotions for your best friend's boyfriend. Damnit, this is what happens when you don't get laid for a week... Scolding yourself internally, you washed your face and sighed to look back at him. As you expected, his eyes were still on you. But something had changed, the playfulness just wasn't there. It was something else, but you didn't have the time to place it before he looked away.
"So," Patrick spoke your name, "I haven't seen you for my entire time here, and..." He paused for effect, "I missed you."
You gasped dramatically and put a hand to your chest, "Me? Patrick Zweig misses me?" Teasing him with a smile, "What an honor! What's next, I get taken to the Dollar Tree?"
Laughter bounced off the small walls as the two of you were terribly unfunny and it was mutually known. It didn't stop you two from laughing at the stupidity of it. The laughter endured for a moment or two before it died down.
"But really," Patrick started to pull himself together, "I did miss you. Y'know how Art is these days, and Tashi only wants to talk about fucking tennis..." He stepped closer to you, close enough for his hand to slightly caress your free arm. "You're honestly my only friend right now..."
You laugh awkwardly, eyes darting everywhere from his own. Patrick was looking at you, you knew it, but if you looked now you wouldn't be responsible for what you would do after. Self-control was one of the better traits you'd taken from Tashi—you stepped away from his touch and smiled thinly.
"Oh come on Patrick," The shitty tile of your bathroom floor seemed more and more interesting as the seconds passed, "Tashi's just trying to help you." You knew what he was referring to as Tashi complained of Patrick's inability to listen to criticism.
Patrick scoffed at this and rolled his eyes, regardless didn't reply. He dropped the subject, realizing ages ago you'd always choose to defend Tashi over anyone else. He shifted back to his original plan.
"Okay, that's whatever, would you like to go out tonight then?" He asked, his original jovial tone returning, and suddenly like that, everything was okay. The bizarre tension was gone and you could meet his gaze with a knowing face.
"I'll think about it." That answer seemed good enough for Patrick, you witnessed a cheesy exclamation and a terrible fist pump to follow. You sighed at his absurdity but it finally got him out of your doorway as he sauntered back out to your room.
"Great! I'll see you at 8 tonight," He announced, walking toward the door and out the door before he could hear your faint, "Patrick I don't-"
It was suddenly silent in your dorm again. Which, you were grateful for as it meant now you had time to concentrate; you could possibly continue your new 15-step life plan of isolation and become the second-best tennis-female player of all time, Tashi would be the first. Or get black-out drunk tonight and forget all about everything. Each option was very crucial.
A few hours of homework later, you had determined two things like you had done a week ago. One, yes you did need to get black-out drunk, Two, you had to make more male friends that weren't your best friend's boyfriend or said boyfriend's best friend.
¸¸♫·¯·♪¸♩·¯·♬¸¸¸¸♬·
The club was hot and sweaty, it felt as if it'd swallow you whole with the number of people who crowded around you. Dancing, grinding, touching. You hadn't drunk enough alcohol for you to start to enjoy this feeling so off to the bar you went. Patrick followed in tandem, keeping a good trail on you as he was the "designated driver", though you were sure that both of you were going home in a taxi that night.
Patrick ordered a round of 10 shots of assorted types of strong-smelling alcohol and smiled at you, though the smile made you queasy. It exactly mirrored Tashi's smile when she forced you to do shit.
"My favorite girl, pick your poison," The brunette snickered, taking in the blank features that had taken over. "Unless you're a pussy."
"Oh, I'm a pussy?" You raised your eyebrow in defiance, "Please, Patrick, watch and learn." Mirroring his confident smirk, you picked up one random shot and took it back. Then another, and another, and another... Soon there were only 3 shots left for your friend and your tongue started to go numb. The boy laughed at your efforts and followed your lead by taking the rest of the shots.
Shortly, you were on the dance floor, the colored lights seemed so much more welcoming and the touch of strangers felt like a blaze. You drunkenly danced with Patrick, spinning and moving against each other, hands above the waist for both of you as it felt anything but personal. Occasionally you two would make eye contact for too long and would just erupt in giggles and he'd take you for another spin. Patrick knew how to have fun and pulled you along for the ride.
During some Nelly Furtado song, you'd finally gotten fatigued of the club after who knows how long of dancing, drinking, and other illicit activities that involved a certain plant. You tugged at Patrick's collar of his shirt and he stopped his movement.
"Patrick," You slurred, "I wanna go home.." He looked down at your figure and nodded his head. Patrick led you off of the dance floor and finally outside of the club. You clutched onto his shirt on the walk to the car, which honestly felt like miles. Patrick filled the air with little comments about the people who had filled the club and it made you giggle. Though, as drunk as you were anything could've made you laugh.
"Yes! The car!" The grip on his shirt tightened as you through one of your hands in the air in celebration, "I'm so fuckinggg... tired.." You dragged out your constants as you both made your way to the car. Ultimately, it was more like Patrick was walking and you slanted onto him, trotting along.
"Mhm," Patrick hummed, he'd kept one hand on your waist but you hadn't really noticed it. There were many things you didn't notice in your inebriated state.
Patrick, luckily, hadn't drunk as much as you and was sober enough to drive you home. You laid your head comfortably on the window as you observed the blackened city and yellowed road soar past you. It was serene, you and Patrick. It was the first time in the past week you felt a smidge above the bare minimum. Your head was hazy and everything felt so miniature; boxed in.
The ride home was rather reserved, with no one speaking other than you drunkenly giving him directions to your dorm. Eventually, after he had to call Tashi, he stopped in front of the building.
"We're here, Sleeping Beauty," Patrick murmured quietly, slightly nudging you with his hand. When you responded with a groan, he sighed and got out of the car. You perked up a bit and lazily followed his figure until he opened the door. The lack of movement signaled to Patrick that he would be the one to get you out of this car.
Patrick heaved you out of your seat, to your disdain, and he held you close as he closed the passenger door behind you. Your face was squashed in the curve of his neck. He smelt like really lovely cologne and sweat.
Looking up at him, Patrick met your gaze with his own and smiled, "Hi." You smiled back, "Hey.." His hand stayed trained on your waist and you felt that warmth. The fervor you felt that night in the hotel room. It pooled deep inside of you, and it made the stupid smile on your face grow even wider.
"What are you smiling at?" Patrick grinned at your behavior and his hand that had been unlocking the door moved up to cup your cheek. Both of you stood there under the cloak of the night sky, staring foolishly at one another. He softly said your name, "What are you smiling at, pretty girl?"
The tone of his voice was something you'd never be able to interpret in your lifetime. Forgotten among memories and the intoxication, you thought about what led to the position you were in years later, and next to that night in the hotel room, this seemed to be another flick to the dominos collapsing.
Patrick didn't wait for your response, his lips were already on yours. He felt needy in this kiss, it was long and passionate. Your eyes were clenched shut, the euphoria you felt from being so out of it momentarily leaving your body to replace it with stone-cold regret. The kiss was split when you finally pushed one hand to his chest.
"Patrick?" You muttered, "What the fuck?" Patrick's air sobered at your words. He looked at you, the mere panic very visible on his face. Had he fucked up?
"What?" The brunette laughed humorously, "Did I, erm..." He was searching through his lexicon to say anything that could save whatever the hell just happened.
The shame began to quickly devour you, a sickish feeling overtaking your senses. Whatever just happened mortified you to no extent. You staggered back from Patrick, finally meeting his frenzied eyes.
Your eyes started to gloss over and you cried. Tears fell freely down your face as you felt the humiliation slap you in the face. All of it. The humiliation of Art not even liking you, Tashi's carelessness this week, and then this. The culmination of the efforts from the four of you, kissing your best friend's boyfriend. Or rather he kissed you, but what was the true distinction?
"What the fuck Patrick!?" You roughly wiped the tears that continued to fall, "What the fuck is wrong with you?" Patrick said nothing, only stared, so similar to his best friend.
"Jesus... The both of you!" You barked, "The both of you two fucking astound me." Your words were sharp and cutting bore into Patrick, apparently, that's what got him.
"What," His voice trailed off as his demeanor only heightened in puzzlement, "What do you mean both?"
"You and your fuck-face friend, that's who!" Your words blended together, as unfortunately, you were still pretty shit-faced. "You and Art fucking around with my head..."
Patrick tensed, "Art's fucking with your head?"
"Yes!" You replied, throwing your hands out in anger, "He's still in love with your girlfriend, and decided to fuck me on the side!"
Patrick's eyebrows raised, he knew Art was trying to manipulate the situation by trying to break him and Tashi apart but he didn't know that you were weaved in here too.
"That's... fucked up." He attempted to comfort you, very awkwardly.
"Yes, it is fucked up Patrick, almost as fucked up as you kissing me." You shot back venomously, narrowing your eyes at him. Patrick went quiet for a beat. He looked at you, looked away, and back at you. He seemed to be deliberating something.
"There's nothing fucked up about it," He finally answered, "I wanted to."
An involuntary gasp slipped from your lips. Your face contorted. "What?"
"I want you."
It felt like a gallon of cold water splashed on you. You stumbled back even further from the boy, your expression no longer confused but mortified.
Thundering down the sidewalk, you callously ran to where you didn't know. You heard Patirck's calls after you but they didn't matter. It wasn't as if he ran after you. The haze from everything that had happened still lingered as you ran. The thoughts bombarded your mind aimlessly, wondering what Patrick meant or what he might say to Tashi.
Tashi...
You'd raced so far that you were there at her dorm, which was seated right next to the tennis courts. Vision hazy, you tumbled into the building. It felt dingy and humid and walking through the corridors you tripped about six times and fully fallen over 3; that didn't stop you though from your destination.
By the grace of god, you handled yourself well enough to place three ordered knocks on Tashi's door, then slump to the floor with a deep sigh. Honestly, you didn't expect her to open the door. You didn't know what time it was but it was late enough into the night (or the early hours of the morning), that the rest of the world was silent.
Everything went silent for a moment as you stared at that wooden door. You focused on a dent in the door itself, right near the handle. You were so immersed in the indentation that you didn't notice the door hinged open.
"Well, well, well... look who it is," Tashi stared down at you with a slight smile. There she was.
"Tashi!" Your mood was instantly lifted at her company and smiled right back. The nastiness, the dread, and the remorse were lifted instantly once you saw her. She let out a sigh once she saw your state— your outfit was skimpy, mascara and eyeliner were smeared all over your face, and you looked like you'd cried a river.
"Christ," She sighed out your name, "Can't you have a good night?"
¸¸♫·¯·♪¸♩·¯·♬¸¸¸¸♬·
You and Tashi lay on her bed peacefully, and you exchanged no sentiments in those moments. She'd washed you up from your sordid state and now she was tracing designs in the curve of your hip. Tashi laid her chin on your head and you nestled on her collarbone. This was a frequent situation for either of you, as, during tournaments during your adolescent year, nights were spent braiding each other's hair, swapping secrets with smiles, and just being girls.
"So, are we going to talk about it?" Tashi hummed, staring out into her own cluttered room. Smiling like a fool you replied, "Talk about what?"
"Art, he told me about what happened." She continued, her hand moved from your hip to your hair. Tashi threaded her fingers through it gently and you let out a giggle.
"Pfft, Art.. that stupid, dumb blonde," Laughter filled the room, and you drew your head away from Tashi to meet her. "He's just stupid, that's all."
Tashi held back her own laughter at your intoxicated words, "I see.." You nodded in confirmation and laid back down cuddled back in. "Well, I just wanted you to know that this week I wasn't trying to avoid you," She resumed, "Art just told me about your emotional state, and knowing you, I know you like space."
You hoisted your head again and sneered, "You'd believe that twink?" Tashi giggled and rolled her eyes, "I don't think you can say that anymore," She spoke your name in a scold, "But, yes I did, he's pretty fucking convincing you know."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah... Convincing my ASS," Your eyebrows drew together in irritation at the mention of the boy, "He's stupid, just like the other one.."
Dead air obscured the room again, the only sound being you and Tashi's breathing. The warmth you'd felt from the alcohol returned again, but it felt different. It didn't feel as murky or slowing, it felt good. Yet, the disgrace from earlier was still in the back of your mind. You knew the next day would hold so much bullshit for you and your friend depending on Patrick's efforts or if Art decided to tell Tashi whatever Patrick would recount to him. The involvement of the two boys had made everything so muddled.
"Tashi,"
"Hm?"
"Promise me you'll love me forever?" You asked quietly, finally breaking the tranquility. The voice you had dawned felt foreign to you, it was desperate, vulnerable. Tashi pulled herself away from you to meet your eyes. Her deep sharp eyes scrutinized you with an unreadable gaze.
"What do you mean?" She asked, trying to laugh it off with a dry chuckle.
"I said what I meant," You slurred in reply, a pout, "Will you love me forever?"
Tashi scoffed, "I'm not fucking Mother Theresa," She said your name with a mocking edge. "You're my best friend, I..." Tashi stopped to carefully phrase her words so you could understand in your blitzed condition. "I like you more than any other person on planet Earth."
Your pout formed into a frown, and you stayed silent. Tashi then exhaled wearily, knowing she'd hurt your feelings but didn't say anything. It was a staring contest that you wouldn't win. Tashi did like you a lot, more than she liked her family, friends, and her boyfriend. But she wasn't good at pretending—she couldn't pretend she loved more than one thing. She loved one thing, and one thing only; Tennis.
"Then I'll love you enough for the both of us." That response caught Tashi off guard and she blanked. "I'll love you seeds and all, Tashi Duncan." The announcement of your love for her wasn't on the list of things Tashi thought she would've heard tonight. A nervousness overtook her but you didn't notice, you just stared in determination.
"Seeds and all?" Tashi questioned, her demeanor shifted to something a bit fainter, similar to yours.
"Yes, Tashi, seeds and all," You said it as if it was the most common thing in the world and laid back down. A sudden wave of exhaustion had washed over you, it was so easy to fall asleep. Despite this, Tashi stayed awake and watched you. It wasn't uncommon for you to say sappy shit and for Tashi to combat it with banter, but this felt more amorous; for the first time in the girl's life, she felt confused.
Tashi glanced back down at your sleeping figure. You looked so peaceful and pretty. An involuntary grin graced her features as she lay next to you. Her face was inches away from your own, bringing her hand to brush away some stray pieces of your hair to simply stare at you.
"I love you too," The girl muttered your name, kissing the apple of your cheek, turning around to her side of the bed, and falling into a slumber soon after. Tashi had assumed you were sleeping and wouldn't remember it even if you weren't. But, unfortunately for her, you had heard.
Tashi Duncan loved you.

𝘊𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪 𝘖𝘱𝘦𝘯
The hotel bar's music softly played through the speakers, setting a particular homely affection amid the room. A few people were there, tennis players and normal patrons alike, drinking or crying over their loss today. Cincinnati, Ohio was one of the last stops any of these players had of making it to the US Open but unfortunately, they didn't make the cut.
You on the other hand? The 15-step plan was in motion but this time you'd be first. Going pro three years ago was one of the best decisions you'd made, in your life. The dream was cradled in the palm of your hand. Young, beautiful, determined, the brands just ate you up.
Being sponsored by Nike, doing commercials for popular products, and selling out was pretty amicable. The celebrity that came with it was a sweet taste that you sunk your teeth in. People shouted your name on the street and begged for your signature, they wanted you. The only downside was that now and again you'd have to see him.
God, You thought, when was the last time I heard this song... Instead of nursing your drink, you glanced around the room, observing the players. You recognized some from previous competitions and some you'd played today. Suddenly, noticing how everyone had someone to talk to, it was exposing to be the lone person at the bar. At 23 and no man, for now, was a smidge uncomfortable.
So why were you holding her hand?
Is that the way we stand?
Were you lying all the time?
Was it just a game to you...
While scanning the room, you saw her, sitting there with her computer propped up and sporting a shorter hairstyle. A jolt surged through you, you'd seen enough of her today, and you swiveled your head back forward. Another bad move, there he was. The blonde shaggy curls bedazzled you when he strolled in. Art Donaldson walked through the room and the world stopped turning.
Art walked into the bar in search of something. He just didn't know what. For the past few weeks since the Atlanta Open, he'd been on edge; for what he didn't really know. The looming task of the US Open had been teasing him for years, but he was young. He had time to play and win it, this year might just be his year. Though that's what he told himself. The US Open was what he was worried about. Yes, nothing more, nothing less, and absolutely not about certain brunettes.
Art made eye contact with you for a split second. A look flashed across both of your faces, both with varying feelings. Art's face showed an emotion of enchantment, like seeing a rare jewel. You looked like you swallowed sour milk. You shifted your gaze away from him and back to your drink. The alcohol stung your nose.
But I'm in so deep
You know I'm such a fool for you
You got me wrapped around your finger...
Do you have to let it linger?
A shiver strained through you, wondering if the universe was truly trying to get you to buy 30 mg of fentanyl and a bottle of vodka. Art you were used to, both of you were established and young tennis players, it was foretold the two of you would cross paths after that day. Every time it did happen there were formalities exchanged between you two, and then you'd take 4 shots of the choice of alcohol that night and cry.
Art peeked back at you once more before back on his path to Tashi. She was perfect, he had known that fact since the day he met her. Shoved on the pedestal, his fiance typed stormily at her computer, eyebrows drawn together in a scowl.
A smile grazed his face, "Hey," He sat down across from her. Tashi barely acknowledged him with a nod. Art sighed and tapped on the rim of her computer, "Hey Tashi..."
Tashi exhaled and lips thinned, "Hi, what's up?" She curtly replied, "I'm working right now on our deal with Nike," Art's confidence slightly buckled under her glare and apparent annoyance with him.
"Oh, well, nothing..." He trailed off with his smile being replaced with a slight pout, unfortunately for Art, this irritated the coach more. "Well, then get out of my face. You have a game tomorrow," She articulated concisely instructed him with a tone a mother would use, "A game you need to win."
Art straightened up a bit, winning was important, he knew that but he missed Tashi. His paranoia surely wasn't helping her curtness as of recently, but he was still relegating it to US Open nerves. He just needed to win and it'd be fine. "Okay," He agreed, "I'll see you upstairs?" The blonde was met with a quick nod, the sound of typing only emitted.
"I love you."
"I know."
Art left the table with a sullen expression on his features, but you didn't know that. Now you were focused on what type of wood the table was, to avoid thinking about when was the last time the three of you were in the same room. Maybe it's maple.... Your thoughts were soon cut off by a buzz from your phone. The iPhone 4 buzzed madly in your pocket and you pulled it out.
It was some random number you didn't have on your phone.

He wanted to meet you up? Why? Confusion replaced the thick nostalgia as the cogs in your head started to work. It confused you, but you were intrigued. Plus, what was the worst that could happen?

Idily standing in the dingy ice room, you'd start contemplating your life choices. Specifically, the ones that led you to this moment. Why did you approve of this? Why did you go to that fucking bar? You're not even supposed to drink the day before a game. Oh, that's right, you remembered, Patrick Zweig.
♬☆♬☆♬☆
Earlier that day...
The cooling feeling of the concrete against your back felt like pertinent compensation after a day of sprinting around in the sun. You'd finally made it to the semi-finals after dominating through the bracket, some you'd played against during earlier tournaments, others were just painless to beat and move on to the following one. Nonetheless, the girl you'd just played had given you a run for your money. Not because she was good, but because you were distracted.
Tashi Duncan, coach of the FAMOUS Art Donaldson, observed your match. You'd noticed her when perusing the stands after the first game when you were looking for your friend who had come to cheer you on. Seeing her was the biggest mistake of your game, serve after serve it'd either be out or barely touched the net. It was utterly embarrassing and you'd lost the second game by 15 love. When it was the break you'd skimmed only to find her gone.
It pissed you off. Who the fuck does she think she is? You clenched your water bottle angrily, your knuckles shy of a shade lighter than normal skin tone. The spite of Tashi leaving your game (or so you thought) had lit that flame that you doused years ago. The flame of insecurity produced by Tashi Duncan.
You were relentless against the girl, hitting the ball with your full strength each and every time. An intense volley had occurred in the middle of the game, so intense that your opponent fell face forward in an attempt to catch the shot (she did not). The stadium was silent other than the loud sounds of your grunts and anger. It was hotter than the concrete you played on but just as hard. It pissed you off so much that when you won, instead of your normal self-indulgent bow, you smashed your racquet to the floor and a roar. The crowd scarfed it down, hailing you as a passionate and beautiful player, tenacious against competition.
In all honesty, you just wanted to go home and cry, but you were hustled off the court to where you are now. Stranded in the hallway and lying in your muddled emotions. It was now the men's bracket, but you didn't plan on watching anyone. Particularly Donaldson. Yet, trying to make it out of the vacant hallway, a familiar face entered your vision.
"There's the golden girl!" No words in a dictionary could express the face you made at that moment.
"Oh my..." You muttered under your breath, turning around to see Patrick Zwieg, in all of his sleazy glory. "What in the ever-loving fuck are you doing here Patrick?"
Patrick laughed with faux hurt, "Aw, aren't you just a ball of sunshine!" He tried to get closer to you but you edged back. He gauged your expression and sighed, "And here I thought you'd be happy to see me..."
You scoffed in disgust, "Christ Patrick, seeing you is like seeing a dog with cancer, it should be put down already." The brunette's lips pulled into a smirk, he crossed his arms and gave an irksome look.
"Well, I'm not a dog," He corrected, "I'm a cat and we got 9 lives." An exasperated sigh left your lips, your eyes meeting his with a tiredness. After the mind-fuck of seeing Tashi, you had no bandwidth for Patrick's bitchiness.
"I don't fucking care, Patrick," You hissed, finally starting back on your walk. Patrick started to slightly slip from his confidence, he hadn't expected this. He usually was able to keep you around for a good banter but you'd genuinely just stopped it this time. To keep you from going he snatched your forearm, keeping you from going any further.
Your glare deepened, "Let me go!" He didn't budge and kept you in place, although you started struggling to try and escape his strong grasp.
Patrick spoke your name calmly, "I just want to talk..." He sounded like he was talking to a feral cat. Grunting and now starting to whine, you struggled in an attempt to get away from him and this conversation. "About what? How you fucked over my best-" You stopped yourself, the word 'friend' died on the tip of your tongue. You two weren't friends, you hadn't been for years. Patrick caught this moment of vulnerability and used this.
"Friend? Please, she left you once you got better," He goaded with a sinister grin, "She couldn't stand that you could play and she couldn't."
The struggle became relentless as you started to shout for 'help' but it was useless. You were isolated. The best you'd gotten was dragging Patrick an inch or two across the floor, no escape was foreseen. A thin line formed on your lips as you glared.
"Shut up Patrick, don't fucking project your bullshit with Art on me,' You spat venomously, "He won, you're fucking losing, so what?"
Patrick chuckled drily, "Won what? The match? In case you forgot I won that-"
"NO!" You cut him off with a shout, "God no Patrick, he won at life. He's getting married to the girl you, and only you Patrick, lost because you're a dipshit." Face contorted into one of pure hatred for the man in front of you, and his hold finally slackened for you to draw your arm back.
Patrick rolled his eyes, "Newsflash, I slept with the girl I lost like.." He stopped speaking to count on his fingers, "Three weeks ago!" A triumphant and smug smirk graced his features.
"Great, so you can add home-wrecker to your tennis accolades?" You raised a brow and scoffed again, "You astonish me Zweig, you really do."
Patrick's grin didn't budge, "I aim to please," He did feel quite pleased with himself, and was even more pleased because he confidently believed you were jealous. Jealous that Tashi Duncan slept with him again and you didn't. He was sorely mistaken.
A heavy breath was taken in and you became focused. You knew exactly what you wanted to say to him, "Patrick, you may've fucking one that on match, let's say a battle." You began harshly, "But you didn't win the war, Art did."
Coming closer to Patrick to look him square in the eye, "Art is going to marry Tashi, he won. He will continue to win and be remembered." Patrick clenched his fists to try and calm himself, your words cutting in like serrated blades, "Who will you be Patrick?"
The question echoed throughout Patrick's mind, but you didn't waste time on his reply. Quickly, you stormed away after and resolved that the finest thing to do was to drink this moment away.
♬☆♬☆
A disgusted exclamation softly left your lips as you remembered that instant from today. Patrick always knew how to rile you up, to push your buttons until they'd break. At this point, you thought he enjoyed pissing you off. However, your internal monologuing was cut off by approaching footsteps. Darting up from the checkered carpeted floor, the blonde approached.
Art felt his palms begin to sweat when he saw your languid figure up against the vending machine. You looked so effortlessly beautiful to him, even when looking like you wanted to kill him. He sauntered into the small corridor and shut the door behind him.
Then, he pivoted around to face you. A hush swallowed both of you. It had been the first time you two were alone in around 3 years, at least. Art looked nervous meanwhile you looked disinterested.
"So?" You asked expectantly, "What did you need to talk about?" Art uncoiled and bit his lip. What did he want to talk about again..?
"Oh uhm.." He stuttered, "Hi, so..." Art desperately combed his mind for an answer, "I just saw you and I..." He coughed awkwardly and shifted his weight, "I just wanted to know how you were."
You took a deep breath and then let out a sigh, "Great, so you wanted to waste my time?" Art visibly flinched at your response and his lips twitched in apprehension.
"No, I just missed you," He asserted quickly, trying to meet your tone. Art's deep blue eyes met your own and something tugged at your heartstrings. "We both missed you."
"We?" A wiry laugh echoed in the room, "I don't think Tashi misses me, Arthur, but a cute way of guilt-tripping me." You cooed mockingly with a smirk. A sour expression fell across Art's countenance at the use of his full government name.
Sighing, he leaned against the wall and; after a beat spoke, "We watched your name today," Art stared at you intensely, "You were good, but what fucked you up during the second game?"
You clenched your fists, annoyed that he had been there too. "I don't know, it's called none-ya."
"What's none-ya?" He asked, confused by your retort.
"None of ya fucking business, Donaldson," You shot, "We aren't friends, we don't have tea parties and talk about fucking tennis."
"Well," Art started calmly, holding himself together, "Why don't we talk about anything but tennis?" You smiled fakly at his offer and stepped toward him, the height difference not really being too big, close enough to meet eye to eye.
"Then why the hell are we talking, Art, if we're not talking tennis?"
Art was silenced by your reply and stared down at the floor. He understood why you were acting the way you were, you were hurt. Aching. He would be too if he were in your shoes. The boy knew it wasn't him that should be talking to you. If anything would be solved between you and him, it'd first have to be solved between you and his fiance.
So, he looked back up at you, "I don't know why are we still talking?" The way Art said your name triggered some deep-buried emotions you had killed many years ago along with your insecurities. It was the seductive, whiny nature of Art Donaldson that kept you awake during the hard, lonely nights and right now it was your reality.
The space between you two was barely existent, lips almost touching... Your phone buzzed. The moment was ruined instantly and you quickly plucked out your phone. It was your coach, texting you verbatim to 'GO THE FUCK TO SLEEP, NOW!' with five angry emojis.
Art's eyes searched your movements as you read the message. He was so intent on solving or fixing things with you tonight that he hadn't acknowledged that other outside forces could interfere. When he saw you play today and then back at the bar? It fell into place for him, he just had to have you again. He had to. He deserved it right?
You shoved Art aside and opened the door, focused on now going to sleep and preparing for your game tomorrow. Simply put, you didn't have time for stupid boys like Art Donaldson who wanted to play tennis with two balls. It was ineffective.
But, just as you were down the hallway he shouted, "Tashi misses you!" You ignored him, "She told me to tell you."
"Tell her," Turning around so he could directly hear you, "Tell her that she can go fuck herself, and," You had stopped speaking, storming off to right in front of the man, "Go fuck yourself too." It was easy to snatch the collar of his old grey hoodie and capture him in a kiss.
The clash of lips was a brutish one, Art being caught off guard and you kissing forcefully as if he was the last thing on earth. His hands traveled to your jaw and let you take control of the kiss.
It was a longer one, almost juvenile, letting yourself clash teeth or slightly push up against him. You finally pulled away, his bottom lip sliding through your teeth slowly, keeping eye contact while it bounced back in place.
The both of you were flushed a deep crimson, now both frustrated and sexually frustrated you let out an exclamation of anger and strode furiously down the hall, into the stairway.
There left was Art, his attempts hopeless and now he was alone. His hand shakily rose to his lips where you had just been. Fingers gently grazing his lip before letting out a shaky sigh. It'd been forever since he'd been caught so off-guard, it shook him inside. You always did, pushing his own buttons instead of yours. Art was always susceptible to your touch and words.
Yet, frowned when he thought of the way you had spoken to him tonight. You had become so jaded, so much more.. mean. It reminded him of how Tashi used to talk back at Stanford. Before the injury. How confident she was, somehow more than now, and how she had the world at the tips of her fingers. Art silently wished he'd handled that day differently than he did. But, deep down, he knew he didn't. Art got what he wanted at the end of the day, wasn't that beautiful?

pairing mark grayson x gender neutral reader
in which you’re just trying to finish your damn homework, but mark keeps being distractingly… mark. (leaning into your space. bumping knees under the library table. accidentally reciting love poems like they’re about you.) it’s fine. you’re fine. (you’re not fine.)

the library is quiet, the way you like it—just the soft rustle of pages turning and the occasional creak of a chair. sunlight streams through the tall windows, painting golden stripes across the wooden tables. you’re hunched over a thick textbook, scribbling notes with a furrowed brow, when a familiar voice whispers right next to your ear.
"you’ve been staring at that page for, like, ten minutes. either you’re really into 18th-century poetry, or you’re zoning out hard."
you jump, nearly knocking over your highlighter, and turn to see mark grayson leaning over your shoulder, grinning. his dark hair is slightly messy, like he’s just flown in (which, knowing him, he probably has), and his golden viltrumite emblem glints under the library lights.
"mark!" you hiss, swatting his arm lightly, your voice barely above a whisper. the sound still feels too loud in the hushed library, and you glance around nervously, half-expecting a librarian to materialize and scold you. "you can’t just sneak up on people in a library. there are rules."
he flinches a little at the swat—not that it actually hurt him, viltrumite durability and all—but he looks genuinely apologetic as he sinks into the chair beside you. "s-sorry," he mumbles, rubbing his arm like you actually managed to sting him. his cheeks are faintly pink as he leans in closer, voice dropping to a sheepish whisper. "i just... saw you over here and, uh. wanted to say hi?" he fidgets, fingers tapping against the table. "you looked kinda stressed. i thought maybe... i could help? or just. be here. if that’s okay."
there’s something unbearably sweet about the way he’s looking at you—like he’s both desperate to stay and terrified you'll tell him to leave. his knee bumps against yours under the table, and he jerks back like he’s been shocked, muttering a quick "sorry, sorry—" before awkwardly folding his hands in his lap like he doesn’t trust himself not to fidget.
you should probably scold him for distracting you, but the way his fingers nervously drum against his own wrist is weirdly endearing. and the way his eyes keep flicking between you and your textbook, like he’s trying to figure out if he’s actually helping or just getting in the way—it makes your chest feel warm.
for a while, you both settle into a comfortable silence. the library hums softly around you—pages turning, distant typing, the occasional cough. mark rests his chin in his palm, watching as you highlight passages with careful precision. he doesn't seem bored at all, just... content. like there's nowhere else he'd rather be than this quiet corner with you, surrounded by old books and golden afternoon light.
eventually, he scoots his chair closer, the legs scraping softly against the library floor. the movement is tentative at first—just an inch, then another—until his shoulder presses firmly against yours, warm and solid through the fabric of both your sweaters. you can feel the faint rise and fall of his breathing, steady and calming despite the way your own pulse suddenly kicks up at the contact.
he leans in, his temple nearly brushing yours as he follows the lines of text. you catch the faint scent of his shampoo, something clean and subtly sweet, mixed with the crisp paper-smell of old books. it's distracting in the best way, making it hard to concentrate on the words in front of you when all your senses seem hyper-aware of him.
as you turn the page, his focus never wavers. you can practically feel him absorbing each poem alongside you, his quiet intensity making the mundane act of studying feel strangely intimate. then—his finger darts out, sudden but gentle, tapping a verse near the bottom of the page. the tip of his finger hovers there, just barely touching the paper, as if afraid to smudge the ink of something so precious.
"i like that one," he murmurs, voice hushed but earnest.
you follow his gaze to the lines: "i would recognize you in total darkness, not by touch or sound, but by the quiet way my soul settles when you're near. heaven, if held in hands, would wear your face. what is happiness, if not your name written in gold ink upon my ribs?" your breath catches sharply between your ribs, the air suddenly too thick, too warm. it's the kind of verse that curls around your heart and squeezes—painfully tender in its honesty, the sort of devotion that makes your fingertips tingle with the urge to reach out.
your pulse flutters like moth wings against your throat, so loud you’re half-convinced mark can hear it. the words on the page blur for a second as you imagine the poet speaking them—not to some abstract beloved, but to someone real, someone who stole their breath the way mark steals yours. and then, stupidly, impossibly, the voice in your head shifts. it’s not the poet’s anymore. it’s his—rough at the edges but unbearably tender, like he’s reciting the verse just for you, like he means it.
your breath hitches when you notice his thumb brushing the edge of the page, right beneath the most devastating line. the calloused pad of his finger traces the paper so lightly, like he’s afraid to smudge the ink but can’t help touching it anyway. something hot and hopeful coils behind your ribs, tight enough to ache. around you, the library dissolves—the rustle of pages, the distant tap of keyboards, even the sunlight pooling on the table fades into static. all that’s left is the way mark’s holding his breath, the way his lashes cast shadows on his cheeks as he stares at the words. like if he moves too fast, this moment might collapse. like he wants to live in it forever.
when you glance up, mark's already looking at you with this soft, wondering expression—like he's seeing something precious. your heart skips traitorously as you wonder, just for a second, if he was thinking of you when he pointed it out.
"you’re staring," you point out, fighting a smile.
mark’s entire face goes pink. he opens his mouth, hesitates, then snaps it shut again like he’s mentally scrambling for words. "i—uh. no i’m not," he mumbles, but the way his fingers twist in the fabric of his sweater gives him away. he’s never been a good liar.
when he finally risks a glance back at you, his voice drops to a whisper, half-embarrassed, half-hopeful. "...okay, maybe a little. but only cause you're—y'know. you." your stomach does a traitorous flip as he gestures vaguely in your direction, his fingers sketching clumsy shapes in the air like he's trying to capture everything about you in one motion. you watch his gaze flicker—from the furrow between your brows that always appears when you concentrate, to the way you're currently worrying your bottom lip between your teeth. you freeze mid-bite, suddenly hyper-aware of the habit.
"it's just. nice. watching you do… stuff. like homework. which sounds way creepier out loud, wow—"
you feel your face burn as his words sink in. part of you wants to tease him, another part wants to hide behind your textbook forever, but the warmth blooming behind your ribs wins out. you press your palms flat against the cool table, trying to ground yourself as he drags a hand down his face in mortification.
"ignore me. i'm gonna go melt into the floor now."
a surprised laugh bubbles up before you can stop it—too loud for the quiet library—and you slap a hand over your mouth. the librarian's sharp glare makes you shrink in your seat, but you can't bring yourself to care. you knock your shoe gently against his under the table, biting back a grin when he peeks at you through his fingers.
"too late," you whisper, voice trembling with barely-contained amusement. your chest feels strangely light, like you've swallowed sunlight. "i already saw you being all... weirdly sincere. no take-backs."
mark groans, slumping forward until his forehead hits the edge of your textbook. "this is worse than that time my dad caught me practicing compliments in the mirror," he mutters into the pages.
"wait, you—" you bite your cheek to stop another laugh. "you practiced? for... this?"
his head snaps up, eyes wide. "no! i mean—not just for—okay maybe a little, but—" he makes a strangled noise. "can we pretend i never showed up today? i’ll fly out the window right now. no witnesses."
you catch his sleeve before he can actually bolt. "don’t you dare," you say, softer than you meant to. "i... like your weird sincerity. even if it’s a little embarrassing. you're surprisingly adorable, markus."
mark freezes. his ears are practically glowing. "...yeah?"
"yeah." you let go of his sleeve, fingertips lingering just a second too long against the worn fabric before pulling away. the space between your hand and his on the table suddenly feels charged—just two inches of scratched library wood separating you from the warmth of his skin. you swallow hard. "but if you tell anyone i said that, i'm denying it." your voice wavers slightly, betraying you. not that it matters—william's already made powerpoint presentations about your "heart eyes™" every time mark enters a room, and even your cat seems to give you knowing looks when he visits your house. the only one oblivious is mark himself, currently blinking at you like you've just manifested a life-sized statue of seance dog for him.
his grin cracks wide open—all lopsided sweetness and crinkled eyes, sunlight catching the gold flecks in them. your stomach swoops like you've missed a step going downstairs. "secret's safe with me," he whispers, leaning in so close you catch the faint coffee-and-cinnamon scent of his breath. his pinky finger brushes yours on the table, feather-light. "but only if you let me buy you coffee after this." he clears his throat, suddenly fascinated by a chip in the table's varnish. "as, uh. bribery. for my... continued silence."
"that’s the worst bribery attempt i’ve ever heard."
"is it working?"
you pretend to consider it, tapping your chin with exaggerated thoughtfulness even as your pulse thrums wildly in your wrists. "...maybe." the word comes out suspiciously breathless.
mark's quiet victory fist-pump is absolutely dorky, complete with an under-the-table knee bounce that makes his chair squeak. you press your lips together so hard they tingle, but the grin still escapes—first as a tremor at the corners of your mouth, then as a full-blown smile that makes your cheeks ache. the homework in front of you might as well be written in alien hieroglyphs now; all your brain can process is the way mark's trying (and failing) to smother his own smile against his knuckles, his eyes crinkled with quiet triumph. you're so hopelessly gone for him it should be embarrassing, but right now, with golden library light catching in his lashes, you can't bring yourself to care.

AWWWWW thank you so much for all the love and support man 🥹 not gonna lie, i'm starting to experience that stage where writers start to feel self-doubt about their writing and stuff, but hearing you say all this is definitely very helpful and sweet, so thank you so much mysterious anon! i hope you enjoyed this one-shot <33 1.8k words full of awkward flirty dialogue between mark and reader and i was like sweating and wiping my forehead every 5 minutes as i struggled to think like, 'oh would a person actually say this?' 'does this seem awkward enough but would also work if a dorky cute loser (mark) said this to me?'

Catch Me If You Can - CC
Tumblr media
Pairing: Caitlin Clark x Reader
Summary: You were untouchable, until one summer day (based on THIS request)
Warnings: cuteness
Word Count: 4.5k
Sweetbans Masterlist
AN: I may have done a little too much with the backstory...
You were born and raised in Iowa City. Grew up going to all the local farmers markets and participating in any and all town events. Your parents are both teachers at the University of Iowa, your mom is a business professor, and your dad is an English professor. A lot of your time was spent on campus which made you pretty known starting at a very young age.
It started when you were a little girl, your parents would bring you to lectures and you would sit in the corner and do whatever you could to keep yourself occupied. The students in your classes never minded and would often come and color with you or read with you when class was over and your parents stayed around to answer questions.
When you were in middle school you would go to campus every day after school to do homework. It would either be in your parent’s offices while they had class and/or hosted office hours or they would let you go to one of the coffee shops on campus, as long as you were with one of their trusted students. At this point, you were pretty well-known on campus by both students and faculty.
Things pretty much stayed the same when you got to high school. You never really had many friends at your own school but had so many the second you stepped foot on campus. You continued to spend most of your time there - most of it studying but sometimes going to campus events (if your parents were okay with that).
The University of Iowa had always been your fate. With both of your parents working there, it was a no-brainer that's where you would be attending school. It also helped that you knew the campus like the back of your hand and were already known. It made going to college less intimidating.
For your high school graduation - there was a group of students at Iowa that hosted a view party since they all couldn't go to your graduation. If you got more than 8 tickets, they would have been there in a heartbeat. They live-streamed it from one of the lecture halls. You didn't know at the time but it filled up with students and faculty all super proud of your accomplishment and ready to have you as an official student. After your graduation, your parents took you back to campus saying they had a surprise - it turned out to be a surprise grad party with a couple hundred people from campus. You have never felt more loved than you did that day.
When fall rolled around, you started your journey as a Hawkeye. Campus felt like home and had become home when your parents gave you the option to commute or live on campus. It was a no-brainer as it was your dream to live on campus and would try and convince your parents to let you stay overnight ever since you were in 4th grade.
Your first year goes as expected. You started to make solid friends. Everyone knew you around campus and if they didn't they for sure knew of you. You would do homework at the same on-campus coffee shops and began to venture out more as you began studying on lawns and in different places to switch up the scenery. Freshman year was everything you had hoped and more.
Going into your second year at Iowa was about the same as the first. Campus remained comfortable for you. You couldn't go anywhere without several people stopping to say hello - people thought it would be annoying but you genuinely loved talking to people. You were well-known and well-loved by pretty much everyone.
As active as you were on campus, one area you never really paid attention to was sports. Your parents never made them a priority thus you never made them one either. Another reason they kept you away from games was because of the reputation a lot of the players had around campus. Ever since you started hanging out around campus in high school - your parents made it known that you were off limits and would remain off limits. It became an unspoken word on campus.
Even with your parents, relationships were never a priority for you. Not to say it was something you didn't want because there were times that you really did long to have the same experiences as your peers. After high school though, relationships weren't even a thought. It was interesting because it wasn't like there weren't people interested, but more so there was no one that you found interesting. Seeing your parent's love, your bar was raised far higher than any college student could really commit to.
It surprises you how frequently you get asked out. It isn't weekly but you consistently have people coming up to ask you out. It unofficially became a game on campus - specifically among athletes. They would place bets on who could get you to say yes to going out with them but nobody ever availed.
You of course learned about the whole thing when one of the guys you were friends with let you know out of respect for you. He was one of the waterboys for the men's basketball team and overhead them taking bets on who could get you to say yes. John always kept an eye out for you - he was a year older than you and treated you as his little sister. He has 3 little sisters at home, as he was the oldest and the first to leave for college - watching you was a second nature to him especially since he was one of your parent's favorite students.
When John learned it was more than the basketball guys and more teams were jumping in to see who could court you, he made it a point to make sure you always felt comfortable on campus. Not that he ever doubted you, but doubted all the guys and girls trying to get in your pants.
You were sitting and waiting for John and some other friends to meet up with you when you were approached yet again.
The star of the school's water polo team approaches you while you are studying on the lawn.
"Hey," he says trying to get your attention. You finish typing out your sentence then look up at him.
"Hi," you say with a smile. "It's Erick, right?"
He flashes a smile when you know his name. "Ya, we are in the same stats class."
You nod.
"Hey, I was just wondering if you were free this Friday night? The team has a game and it would be cool it if you came. We could go grab ice cream or something after and hang out." He asks with the confidence of you knowing who he is.
You give a light smile.
"Erick, I am sure you are a nice guy," you say - knowing all too well that he was not. It was just last week that he took a cheerleader out then was caught making out with one of her teammates the next day. "But I'm just not interested."
"Good luck on your game though - should be a tough one," you say and he walks away.
John comes up catching the tail end of the encounter and gives you a look.
"Another one?" He asks as you get up from the grass.
"Yep, nothing new - he went with the 'come watch my game then we can hang out' bit. You would think they would all get the hint considering I haven't been to a single Iowa game." You say.
"They all want to be the first," John says. You laugh.
"Well jokes on them," you say as the two of you head to meet up with the rest of your group.
You get through the rest of the semester with only a few more people attempting to ask you out. You never mention it to your parents because the last thing you need is them making some big fuss about something you have a pretty good handle on.
That summer is one where things took a turn in a direction you would have never expected.
A majority of your summer was spent around town at your favorite coffee shops. They would be your favorite place to read. It was something you did every summer at the same coffee shops - so much so that they would have a reserved sign at the table you would always sit at.
It was a gloomy morning when the shop was extra busy. You had been settled in for a while now and were sucked into your book. You are used to the buzz of the coffee shop but are pulled out when you hear a loud sound.
You look up and see a frazzled girl, bending over and collecting the bag she just dropped. You set down your book and immediately help the girl. You gather some things and stand up, passing them to her.
"Thank you," she says, still flustered from how busy the coffee shop is.
"Of course," you say with a smile, hopefully easing her.
"I came here hoping to have a quiet morning not realizing how busy it was going to be. I heard this is the best place to come to work," she says.
"Well I agree that this is the best place to work - it typically isn't this busy. I think there is an event going on in town this week. If you are looking for a table, you are more than welcome to join me," you say as you sit back down.
"Thank you," she says and sits immediately. It is just after she sits when you see her relax. You introduce yourself, offering your hand to shake. She reaches out and shakes it. She knows who you are - everyone knew who you were but thought it would be better to just keep your meeting simple.
"I'm Caitlin," she says. You smile at her - also knowing who she is. She had quickly became one of the faces on campus - the 'basketball superstar'.
"It's nice to meet you," you say with a smile. "You are always welcome at my table."
She notices the 'Reserved' sign on it and laughs.
"Did they do that for you?" She asks.
"Ya," you say with a laugh. "I've been sitting here for years now."
The two of you spend the rest of the morning working independently. You locked into your book shortly after your conversation missing the stolen glances Cait would take of you.
Caitlin took you up on your offer every day for the next several weeks. She even went out and got books to read just to come and spend time with you. The two of you would chat when she first got there, then would settle in and being reading for a few hours until you both got hungry. What started as a place for Caitlin to sit turned into so much more. The two of you started getting lunch together and really getting to know one another.
It's in the final month of summer when Caitlin asks you on a proper date. You are unsure at first but remind yourself that she isn't a stranger. The two of you have genuinely gotten to know each other over the course of the summer and you trust her.
It is after that first date that you decide Caitlin is worth it but if you were to ask her when she knew you were it, she would have said that first morning in the coffee shop.
Heading back into the school year, there were subtle changes in your day-to-day. You would still be on campus to study in all of your favorite places but when it came to grabbing your mid-morning smoothie, Caitlin would be waiting outside your first class of the day - smoothie in hand, waiting to walk you to your next class. Caitlin made it a point to be a part of your morning, just like you did in the summer.
It slowly became something Caitlin's team noticed - the first one being Gabby who passed by Caitlin holding two smoothies outside of one of the lecture halls.
"Cait - what are you doing here? Isn't your next class on the other side of campus?" Gabby asks when she sees her teammate.
"Ya, just catching up with a friend," Caitlin says, hoping Gabby will go before you come out. One of the things Caitlin had learned while getting to know you was the bitter taste athletes gave you. Caitlin was slowly changing that but didn't want to give you any reason to backtrack. She also hadn't told the team that she had started seeing you over the summer and would like to keep it that way for as long as she can. Not to hide you, but she valued having you all to herself. And she knew that the second her team found out - she would lose you to them. You were too incredible.
Gabby nods but her suspicion remains.
"Whatever you say Cait," she says and continues to walk. "I'll see you at practice."
Gabby turns a corner but stays in the vicinity - wanting to see the mystery person Caitlin is waiting for.
You walk out of class and see Cait standing against a wall with two smoothies in her hands. You make your way over to her and she meets you halfway.
"Why hello there," you say with a smile. She passes you one of the smoothies.
"Your favorite," she says and you thank her.
The two of you proceed to walk to your next class, missing a hiding gabby who sees Caitlin is walking with you. Gabby can't wait to take the news back to the team. Everyone knows you are not a fan of Iowa sports but here you are walking about with one of the biggest stars on campus. She also doesn't believe that Caitlin is one to wait outside of someone's class with a drink in hand only to walk them in the opposite direction of where she is going.
Later that day Caitlin arrived at practice to find her team bombarding her with questions.
"Woah, woah, woah - what's going on?" She asks overwhelmed.
"Gabby told us who you were spotted with and we think that is the cutest thing ever," Jada says - excited for her teammate.
Caitlin feels her cheeks heat up.
"How did you swing talking to her?" Another teammate asks. "She practically hates every sports team on campus."
"She doesn't hate us - well you know the shit that goes around with teams asking her out and making bets and stuff. It's left a bad taste in her mouth. It's not like they were discrete about it anyways." Caitlin says backing you up.
"Ya but still, I mean what makes you different - Cait you are the biggest name on campus right now and it is only junior year," Sydney says.
Caitlin shrugs, opting to leave how the two of you spent the summer out of the conversation.
"Is it even like that?" Kate asks. "I mean she could just be a friend."
"A friend that Caitlin goes out of her way to get a smoothie for then walk to class?" Gabby scoffs. "No ya, sure sounds like a friend to me."
The team keeps making fun of Caitlin to which she never confirms or denies any of their allegations. The two of you had been on several dates but never really solidified what you were to each other so Caitlin didn't feel like it was proper to bring it up when the two of you really didn't even know what you are yet.
"There is no way Caitlin could pull her - I mean it's CC, can you imagine her dating at all? Let alone the campus's princess." One of the girls says in a joking manner. Caitlin knows her team means well but it sort of rubs her the wrong way when they think she isn't worth your time.
Caitlin speaks before thinking.
"What if I get her to come to a game - would you believe it then?" Caitlin asks and immediately regrets it.
"No way in hell could you get her to come to a game," Jada says. "I've heard she's never gone to a sporting event nor will go near one with a ten-foot pole."
"Ya, but if she comes, then you'll all shut up about this?" Caitlin asks hoping it will be enough to just get you to a game.
"Get her there in your jersey and we will know it's real," Gabby says.
Caitlin grumbles but agrees.
After practice, Caitlin messages you and asks to meet up. You tell her to come over and that you will be making chocolate chip cookies - you know they are her favorite. Her mom also happened to send you home with her famous recipe after Caitlin brought you home once during the summer. It was before she asked you on a date - it was actually quite spontaneous.
"Would you be up for joining me on a little trip home? I told my brothers I would be there for an event of theirs. It won't be long but I don't want to make the drive alone." Caitlin asks you at the end of one of your mornings.
"I would love to," you say and she just casually mentions she is heading there now. When you still agree to join her - she is ecstatic but hides it well.
The two of you head to her home, talking the whole way there. When you get there Caitlin goes to help her brothers and you stay with her mom, she is baking for the event. You help her make her chocolate chip cookies and tell her about yourself. She then tells you all the stories of when Caitlin was little. You couldn't help but grow fonder of the girl after hearing about her childhood.
When the two are heading out, Anne pulls you into a hug and asks you to watch over her baby girl. You smile and nod. She then proceeds to stick something in your pocket - her chocolate chip cookie recipe.
Caitlin gets to your apartment and instantly recognizes the smell of her favorite cookies. You pull them out right after she gets there.
"Are these," she begins and picks one of them up right away.
"Caitlin! You are going to burn yourself!" You swat at her hand but she is too fast for you. She takes a bite of the cookie, blowing out the hot air and trying not to burn her tongue. Once she is able to enjoy it, her eyes close and she lets out a moan.
"You like them?" You ask, already seeing her answer. She finishes the cookie before speaking.
"Just like home. How did you get these?" She asks finally opening her eyes and going for another.
"From the one and only, Mrs. Clark - told me to take care of you," you say with a smile. "And I know that the only real way to care for you is through cookies."
Caitlin looks at you in awe and her mind begins going a mile a minute. Her mom doesn't give her recipe out to anyone - she doesn't know what you did in the kitchen with her that one day but seeing as you have her full approval, Caitlin begins to seriously consider what life would be like with you.
You can see the gears turning in her head.
"Talk to me," you say to her with a little laugh. "I can practically see the steam coming out of your ears. What's going on?"
Caitlin wants to tell you how much it means to her that you made her cookies, her mom's cookies. She wants to tell you how she misses how it was just you and her like it was during the summer and wishes the two of you could go back to that. She wants to tell you how she has started talking to your parents about you and how they have unofficially given her the okay to take you on a date (she didn't tell them how she had already taken you out but that is beside the point).
"How would you feel about coming to my game this Friday?" She asks, settling on getting this out of the way first.
You stand there putting more cookies on the cookie sheet, thinking over her question.
"I know you don't go to games and how much you aren't a fan of Iowa sports, especially with all the athlete's track records with you," she is cut off by you.
"Ya but I am a fan of you," you say which earns a little chuckle. Her heart skips a beat but she continues.
"But we are playing one of our biggest rivals and I think it would be neat to have you there," she says debating on adding the part about her team. She thinks about all you have been through and decides it is better to be honest upfront.
"And my team doesn't think I can get you there," Caitlin says nervously.
You look up at her amused, kind of shocked she would think you would be open to it. But you ponder it.
"It's not a bet - you know I am not like those other guys and girls. You know that right?" She asks.
You just look at her.
"Please tell me you know I am not like them," she says beginning to panic.
"Yes, CC, I know you are not like them."
"One of them saw me waiting outside of one of your classes and started saying that you're out of my league and it irked me." She says.
"And you thought it would be a good idea to tell them that I would go to your game and what? Cheer you on? Wear your jersey?" You press her.
"Well, ya - kind of," she says shyly.
You don't know why but this whole thing should make you uneasy but it doesn't. Not one person has actually told you to your face that their team was betting on you. Caitlin sought out talking to you about it - but in her words, it wasn't a bet.
"Okay." You say and her head shoots to look at you.
"Okay?" She asks.
"Okay."
Friday comes around and you look at yourself in the mirror. You are wearing Caitlin's jersey with some black leggings. You are second-guessing your decision and want to back out but know that's not an option.
You head to the game with your friend John. Caitlin got you two tickets which you instantly asked John to join you for.
The game is intense - watching Cait on the court was mesmerizing to you. She is electric on the court and you wish you had started watching her sooner. It's easy to see why so many people love her.
The game ends and Iowa takes the win by 4.
You turn to John.
"Should I go down to her? I don't know if I should wait until she is done or what to do," you say nervous.
"Go to her - show her how proud you are of her. Be the excited girlfriend," John says with a smile.
"She's not my girlfriend," You mumble.
"Just go," he says and pushes you towards the court.
You walk down to the now-packed court looking for Cait.
When you see her, you begin making your way to her. When her eyes find yours, she lights up. When you get to her you jump into her arms and she spins you around.
"You were incredible," you whisper in her ear.
"Thank you," she says with the biggest smile.
She puts you down and the two of you just look at one another. She finally speaks.
"I like you in my jersey," she says and you blush.
"Please stop," you say and hide your face.
"You're cute," she keeps teasing you.
"Okay okay, I'm going to go now," you say and begin to walk away.
"Wait no," she says and grabs your arm. "I'll be good. I promise."
You stop walking away and turn back to her.
"Come meet my team?" She asks and you nod.
You make your way to some of her teammates as Caitlin introduces you to them. You shake all of their hands then stick to Caitlin's side.
They all try to hide how shocked they are but don't do a real great job with it.
"You all look surprised I am here," you say with a laugh.
"We are - you are sort of known for avoiding sporting events like the plague," Kate says with genuine intent.
"Well, I decided to make an exception for a special little someone," you say and pinch Caitlin's side causing her to blush. All of her teammates take note and poke fun at her.
"Why Caitlin?" Sydney asks boldly and Kate hits her. "What? I am genuinely curious - Caitlin isn't the easiest person to be around."
You laugh and smile up at Caitlin. Then shrug.
"She puts up with me," you say.
"Ya but you're the campus's sweetheart," Sydney says.
"Don't let her fool you," Caitlin jokes and you hit her arm. She puts her hands up in surrender.
"Oh you two are cute," Kate says.
"I can see now why CC was playing extra hard today," Jada says coming over.
"Okay, you are all embarrassing me," Caitlin says and excuses the two of you. The team wants to get to know you more and protests but you follow Caitlin. She leads you to the tunnel where it is not so crowded.
"They are all sweet," you say.
"If by sweet you mean embarrassing then ya, they are great," she says laughing and rubbing her forehead.
You turn to face her.
"What is your intention with me, Clark." You say boldly, catching her a little off guard.
"Well, I really enjoy spending time with you - and I like you, but everyone likes you so that is really a given," she says stringing along more little comments.
The once confident All-American, now a blabbering mess.
"Caitlin Clark," you say pulling her out of her jumble of words. "Ask me to be your girlfriend."
She stands there looking at you, takes a deep breath, and takes your hands.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" She asks, her eyes locked on yours.
Without blinking, you respond.
"No."
"What? You literally just told me to ask you," she says with protest.
You laugh and she catches on to you.
"You are unbelievable," she says.
"I may be but I'm your girlfriend now, so you are just going to have to deal with me," you say.
"Well you just said no, so it looks like I am still on the market," Caitlin says now teasing you.
"Mmhmm, sure you are," you say wrapping your arms around her neck as her arms wrap around your waist. She laughs and looks into your eyes.
"I'm going to kiss you now," you say.
She waits and you stop leaning in - she takes you in.
"Okay," she says and your lips meet hers for the first time. The first time but certainly not the last.
AN: This may be one of my favorites...ever. But my opinion doesn't matter, let me know what you think. And as always, thank you for all the love and support 🤍

Headcanon: Aye, General Grievance
TLDR; Things they do that are annoying, until they aren’t.
• Ridoc (at least, when you meet him) needs to learn how to shut the fuck up. Not because he talks too much (his voice is actually very rich and soothing), but because he’s the type of guy to jump in a conversation when you take a half-second to breathe. He also loves to finish peoples’ sentences — which eventually becomes endearing, but you can’t stand it when he thinks he knows what’s going to come out of your mouth…Until he does, anyway. After that, it makes him feel very sly and you, very shy.
• Sawyer has a habit of drumming his fingers on any surface when he gets nervous or is trying to think. At first, you can’t help but ache with sympathy for the poor guy, but it gets old very fast. You’re trying to work on your homework when you hear a dull tapping noise resound from the other side of the room, which means that Sawyer is here and probably working on the same thing as you. You decide to ask why he does that so much, and he just sheepishly holds up his hand, his fingernails bitten short and bloody.
“It’s either that or this.”
• Aaric corrects people’s grammar all the time. It’s helpful for when you write essays and stuff — he had such high quality education compared to everyone else, so of course he knows the difference between there, their, and they’re. However, he also tends to do it out loud, too. If you’re from somewhere with a variety of local slang, he’ll just stare at you for a moment before going, “You mean [insert technically correct term here]?” You have to teach him your dialect and its quirks so that he doesn’t keep trying to one up you. Eventually you catch him slipping up, and he just shoots an unimpressed look your way. You take it as a win.
• Dain, bless his heart, was at one point (and kind of still is) that kid who was like, “Ma’am? You forgot to collect the homework.” He can’t help it; he likes to be helpful, and if he helps the teacher remember, then he knows that they’ll approve of him more. He also says that if he were the teacher, he’d be really grateful for the reminder because, fun fact, he can be kind of forgetful sometimes. It’s like his own little personal training so that he can train his memory and get good attention from adults, because Amari knows he’s not getting it from either of his parents.
• Bodhi has a tendency to be a little clingy. He can’t really help it; the boy just loves to be with and around people. He can’t stand to be alone. He doesn’t have separation anxiety, per se, but being completely alone for more than thirty minutes at a time can put him on edge. He loves to touch, loves to hang around, loves to follow. Why do you think he’s always trailing behind his older cousin? It’s what he’s been doing since they were kids. Now that Bodhi’s entire family, sans Xaden, is gone, he has to be with people or else he’ll feel lonely and get in his own head about it. You find it to be really odd at first, but once you figure out the deeper meaning, you let him drape himself over you for as long as he needs.
• Garrick never lets himself be looked at in the infirmary. He’s so damn stubborn, it drives everyone insane. The only reason he’ll give anyone is that it’s more important that the other, more severe injuries be looked at first…even if he has a broken arm or a deep laceration in his side. You can’t drag him there (the man is just too solid), and he doesn’t give in to pleading, either. The only way you could ever convince him to come get his injuries looked at is if every single other person in the room has gotten looked at first, and even then, he’s very reluctant. Finally, after what feels like hours of questioning, he quietly admits that he hates having to be touched by healers, because it makes the rebellion relic burn like a stretched wound.
• Liam, despite being the resident Golden Boy, is just a man at the end of the day. He leaves a trail of wood shavings wherever he goes. You would think he’d clean up after himself, but you just find them everywhere — in the hallways, in the grand hall, all around his room, all around your room…It drives you insane. Like, yeah; the quality of his wood carvings is amazing, but does it really make up for the fact that there’s always a faint trace of sawdust and shavings everywhere around Basgiath? You finally realize he’s doing it on purpose when you complain about it and he just shoots you a small smile.
“Sorry. I’m just making sure you can find me.”
• Brennan, whenever he’s writing with a normal fountain pen and needs to stop to think, always traces the nib on the edge of the ink pot he’s using. It makes this little scraping noise that gives you chills, like when people run their nails down a piece of paper. You feel bad for getting pissed off about it, but does he really need to be doing all that? It’s constant, too — there are times where he’ll take ten minutes just to make little rings around the edge of the pot while he just stares into space. Eventually you confess that it makes you really uncomfortable, and he just smiles wistfully.
“It’s a Scribe thing. I get it from my dad.”

You stand outside his office, staring at the large, solid wooden door, fidgeting with the bottom of your short skirt—the skirt you purposefully wore to meet him. You had been struggling with your Intro to Physics homework and didn't want to fail, but you’ve been nervous about going to his office hours because Dr. Richards is hot. Easily the hottest professor on campus and that might have contributed to you having a hard time concentrating in his class, and physics was already a confusing subject on its own.
Dr. Richards
You look at the plaque on the door. You've been standing outside the door for a bit, grateful there is a window on it. You take a deep breath before knocking on the door lightly. After a few seconds, you hear his voice through the door.
“Come in.” You slowly open the door to his office. His office smells like cedar mixed with his Tom Ford vanilla tobacco cologne. His bookcases are filled with books, and his desk has papers lying across it. You see him behind his desk, on his computer, looking as handsome as he does in class, black-framed glasses resting on his strong nose.
As you enter, he greets you, and the way he says your name makes your stomach do flips, and maybe some butterflies join in, too. You pull out the chair opposite his desk before sitting down, resting your school bag on the floor by your chair.
“Your email said you were having some trouble understanding the assignment,” he asks as he leans back in the black rolly office chair, closing his laptop, removes his glasses, and setting them down on his desk.
You nod, pulling out your notebook for your notes from his lectures and the paper you've been using to do the equations for the homework. “Yes, I feel like I may have gotten in over my head with this class. I'm totally lost on everything. Math has always been my weakest subject.”
Dr. Richards nods, leaning over his desk to view your work. He smiles a bit. “I don't believe that. Let's take a look, huh?”
You turn the page more towards him so he can see it. He grabs a pencil and looks over your work. You’re focused on how good he looks in his white button-up shirt with the sleeves rolled up, the attractive grey streaks on the sides of his hair, and how handsome he looks focused on your work on the paper. You’re sure more than half of it is wrong.
You really were struggling, and you really did suck ass at math, so attempting this intro to physics class was a bold choice, but you needed a math core, and it fits into your schedule. You considered dropping it, trading it for college algebra, or an easier alternative, but that went out the window on the first day when you saw how attractive Dr. Richards was. You decided you could stick it through and take advantage of your lack of math skills to see him during his office hours.
“Oh, okay, I see, here and here, you used the wrong equation, which gave you the wrong answer here, and when you plugged in that number in-.
“I fucked up the whole thing.” you finish his sentence, feeling a bit of pride as you see him crack a smile at your comment.
“Well, I wouldn't put it that way, but you just got off on the wrong foot at the start. Here, you can come around here so you can see.”
You shift your chair around his desk, sit next to him, and look over his shoulder a bit to see the paper, taking in his cologne and the opportunity to admire him this close. Maybe you were sitting closer than necessary, but he didn't move, so you stayed close. You catch his eyes drifting down to your legs, your skirt that was riding up your thigh a bit as you sit. But his gaze returns to the paper, and he explains how to do it again. After explaining it, he hands you the pencil, his hand touching yours, feeling his hands linger on your fingers. You take the pencil starting to redo it. You feel him scoot back away from you, returning to the work on his desk.
“Let me know when you're done, and I'll check it.” You nod, doing the equation as he explained it before.
You work on the problem, silently listening to him type on his keyboard. After a few minutes, you finish looking at it; you were just hoping for the best.
“I'm done, but I'm not sure if it’s correct.” You slide the paper over towards him, and he leans over you again, looking over your work. After a few seconds, he nods, smiling.
“No, it is. See, I knew you could do it. Good job.” You smile a bit, feeling the heat rise on your face. “Good girl. See wasn't too bad.” He grips your knee in a reassuring way. His hand lingers on it for a few seconds, rubbing it with his thumb. The second the word “good girl” slips out of his mouth, and the feeling of his hand on your knees makes you feel a bit dizzy and hotter, turning you on and affecting you more than you anticipated.
“Thank you. I just hope it doesn’t go out my head during the next test,” you joke nervously as you look at him.
Dr. Richards shakes his head, “It definitely won't. Were there other problems you were having trouble with?”
You shake your head and start putting the papers back in your folder. “No, this was it.”
“Well, here,” he hands you some papers. “These are some practice problems you can do. Physics is like exercising; You have to do a little bit each day to see results. You can't do one chin-up and expect to see results the next day, right?” He jokes, giving you that very charming smile that makes your body get warmer.
“Yeah, I guess that makes sense. It took months of squats for me to actually get an ass-“ You pause, realizing who you were talking to. A flash of heat rushes to your body, embarrassed beyond belief. “I'm so sorry, oh my god.”
Dr. Richards laughs, probably the hardest you’ve seen. He shakes his head, “No worries, but exactly my point. You have to work out consistently to see results.” He winks, making your heart race faster. You're not sure if he was winking at your ass comment or if that was just in your head. You nod, laughing nervously, unsure what to say. You get up from your chair, getting up to move your chair. You scoot it back across his desk, bending over to do so. You don’t see Dr Richards taking an obvious look at your ass peeking out under your short skirt. He clears his throat before looking back at your eyes. “Thank you again, Dr. Richards.” You smile, walking towards his door. He smiles back, nodding.
"Remember, my door is always open. You can come in here anytime, or you can email me. I'm here to help you succeed. I don't mind going over problems. It's better you come now than the day before the midterm.”
“Oh, okay. Thank you so much. See you in class.” You turn around and walk out of his office, closing the door. You are already mentally scheduling the next time you'll use his office hours next week.

Bruce, blinking awake, looking over at his clock and finds thst he....he got a solid 8 hours of sleep: What the fuck?
Bruce, coming down stairs, seeing the kids not fighting, Tim is helping Damian with his homework, Jason is at the Manor willingly and just vibing with Cass, Stehp, Duke and Dick are all chatting calmly, talking about their day work: What...the...fuck.
Bruce, after being so scared that he actually stopped his heart to disrupt what ever balance that has been made, going to his office to see what emails Lucius had sent him only to find that W.E is running fine, and the board of directors even approved the charity the Bruce was so sure he would have to fight hard for: No...no this...what the fuck...
Bruce, several hours later, in the batcave standing with his mouth agape, because not only has not a single crime had been committed all day, several rouges voluntarily went back to arkham: This...this can't be fucking happening.
Bruce, several more hours later, sandwiched between Clark and Celina, after 9 rounds of vigorous love making: I...this has to be mind control.
Bruce, waking up to the sounds of screams, explosions and for some reasons a kazoo, a mere 30 minutes after he had gone to sleep: Oh...Oh thank God...Oh praise Clark's abs...oh thank fuck.
