What if the Velarian — is that the word for those from Velaris? — dream sequence/song Rhys sent to Feyre Under the Mountain (as addressed here, mainly cause its 1 of my favs🥹😭)

What if that was the same melody his mom used to sing to him as a child — as I imagine her singing a lot; as an Illyrian female without a voice, a woman ripped from the dreams she only glimpsed in Velaris & never got to live, bound by cold-hearted Illyrian customs. She would’ve been left with very little to give the son she adored; only able to give him her love & lessons as a mother. So, I imagine where cookies could not be rationed & baked, and customs would not allow her to hug her child when he cried, she might’ve sung to him… he might’ve caught her rebellious joyful spirit in little moments of song, humming, even through the coldest grueling winters… might’ve watched her sing & soothe his little sister to sleep the same way, bringing her sweet dreams.

… So, when he had nothing left to give Feyre, he gave her the only thing he knew how; because it was all he had been given; art -music- and a beautiful “dream to keep him company”… his mother had fought to ensure he would know such things, & grow to be the man that would not only know them, but create them. Give them to his people, and his person; Feyre, the one that would be the reason why, his soulmate, his forever love.

Victor's upbringing, and his parents are... Really something. I'm not familiar with early 19th century social dynamics, and gender roles. But it's like a whipslash to read all of these strict and almost extreme case with the Frankenstein family, while coming from the likes of Dracula, Jekyll and Hyde, and Sherlock Holmes where one can feel modernity breathing through the novel.

"No creature could have more tender parents than mine." Victor, buddy, I agree that your parents cared a great deal for yours and Elizabeth's education, regarding you both with an amazing gift of knowledge, and such... But so far I don't like them a little bit.

Your parents not only want to marry you to your fucking cousin because apparently the decision of "who am I going to romantically spend the rest of my life with" is not yours to do no no, but also your mother has been only educating poor Elizabeth as a bride-to-be. At least Elizabeth found joy in poetry to express her creative view of the world (even if these traits are expected in an early 19th century noble girl.)

Eris Week 2023 Day 1: Brotherhood | Family

Thinking about how Eris probably knew at least one if not all three of the brothers who went after Lucien were going to die if he made the choice to alert Tamlin they were coming, but he still made that decision anyway. Afterward, he was probably left wondering if that was going to be his life. A life spent weighing options that might result in one or more brothers dead but that ensured his youngest brother, the brother he swore he would let no harm come to upon first gazing into his bright brown eyes, would live a long and happy life. A life spent wondering if no matter what choices he made, one day all his brothers would be dead. And he would be left all alone.

Creating fanfics for small fandoms

Hello tumblr folks, one of the things I always get frustrating by them when I looking for fanfics to read is finding fandoms that are lacking in fanfics.

I want to challange myself to write fanfics to fandoms that needs it. But I don't have ideas and I'm not sure I could write everything but I want to try.

So I'm writing here a list of small fandoms I love that's deserves fanfics and if anyone has an idea for a fic then let me know and I might try and write it. But no promises. I might not succeed to do it. Writing is not easy for me and I could get stuck sometimes.
